    This is an absolutely lovely venue!! It can be transformed to fit any brides ideal, dream wedding! They offer all the amenities and cater to your personal preferences and special needs. From 'I do', to the reception, everything is handled with ultimate care and detail to perfection. They set-up, help plan, and clean up. It does not get much better than that. They offer bar services, catering, a DJ, and so much more. If you do not know where to get a cake, flowers, or have any idea what music you want to play, Charlie Brown has so many amazing ideas. He really does everything in his power to make your special day all that you dreamed it would be, and totally stress free! The Amelie Event Center is where it is all at!

    Every event I have participated In that Charlie does, is excellent in every way. He goes the extra mile in everything. I highly recommend him!

    Absolutely perfect venue! We loved that we could have a beautiful ceremony here and then transition seamlessly into the reception in the same location. The Roxy is visually stunning and has so many fantastic amenities- like a bridal suite (a perfect place for our bridal party to prepare, stash our stuff, and take little "time outs" during the festivities), a full bar, and large restrooms to accommodate our many guests. Charlie Brown (the event coordinator) is a bride's best friend- he has vast knowledge of the wedding industry and makes himself incredibly available to offer great advice and lend a helping hand. Pricing is incredibly reasonable, in fact, for the experience that we received, we would have expected to pay much more. We couldn't have chosen a more perfect location for our wedding.

    Charlie was amazing! He really goes above and beyond. I've done my last two retreats at the Roxy. I have done retreats for 12 years in a row and this has by far been our best experience ever!!! The Roxy is a very classy place for any event and the service they provide is over the top. I'm very picky when it comes to bringing in 300 of my team members every year for our once a year event together, and the Roxy far exceeds my expectations every time.

    I loved my venue and the staff! Charlie Brown is the is the Event planner and he was great he put me in touch with other vendors and made my Day turn out wonderful.

    Charlie Brown is your go-to guy. He is one person who does a job that would normally take a handful of people to complete. He has a thrive and passion for what he does, and works endlessly to make everyone's special day perfect. I would recommend him 110 percent.

    Charlie and his staff were willing to work around my schedule since I do not live in Joplin. The wedding came and was beautiful and perfect thanks to Charlie! He even helped me with a s'more bar at our reception. The day and night went smooth and I wouldn't change one thing about my wedding. Highly recommend Charlie and this venue for your day!

    When I toured the Amelie Event Center, it was an extremely tough choice between this venue and the one we went with. If you are looking for a 5% ceremony and a 95% party afterward, this place is perfect for that. From the fully stocked bar to the disco ball, it's a party waiting to happen!

    Beautiful venue, questionable service

    Our wedding was on July 16, 2017 so I believe some changes have occurred- however, a friend of mine recently (2021) had her reception at the Amelie (both sides) and struggled to get clear answers and professional service from the owner, which mimics the experience we had back in 2017. I can’t speak for her experience, but I will share ours so it can help out any future brides/grooms.

    We had issues with consistency on price and services, and with professionalism from the previous manager, Charlie Brown. While Charlie was extremely caring, friendly, and flexible, he did not maintain boundaries during our wedding. For example, after specifically being told to come to any of the bridesmaids for issues; he directly went to me, the bride, about not having enough glasses for guests (I was in the middle of getting dressed into my reception outfit so what the heck could I do??). One of my bridesmaids easily resolved the issue by telling him to clean the dirty glasses and use paper cups from the back… Charlie also required us to write him a check for the reception before the party even finished- he claimed that the owner was pressuring him to do it. Thankfully, I brought my checkbook with me; but I couldn’t imagine having to have someone leave to go get my checkbook so we could pay him the rest of what was owed. However, there I was before our reception even finished, surrounded by guests, writing him a check…

    In terms of consistency with pricing and services, we had back and forth with the owner on how much draping would cost. He also didn’t remember exactly what we had asked for- thankfully, I had it in an email so our discussion about it ended there. I made sure that he stuck with our original agreement on the draping price- he was quoting a higher price, which is something we didn’t originally agree with.

    While the venue is stunning, I don’t recommend coming here due to the inconsistent service, questionable pricing practices, and professionalism.
