When you are planning a wedding it isn’t enough to have a great venue, you have to add one of a kind aspects to really emphasize the beauty of your special day. One of the best ways to do that is with flowers. When it comes to floral decor, the buck stops at Ritzwalton. I can not begin to tell you how amazing the flowers were that Maritza provided for our big day. Maritza was absolutely wonderful to work with and truly made our wedding day experience beyond memorable. From our initial meeting, she was patient, attentive, flexible, and presented us with a ton of beautiful ideas that aligned with our vision.
Maritza’s creativity by way of her spectacular floral designs and arrangements was the icing on our perfect day. On the day of our wedding, when it was time for us to see our ceremony space for the first time, the room was nothing short of breathtaking. Her attention to detail is superior and the floral presentation really stole the show. Maritza listened to our ideas, tweaked them, and made them better. We weren’t the only ones in awe of Maritza’s beautiful work. In fact, one of our guests even said that the floral designs and arrangements were so beautiful that they didn’t even want to touch them. Choosing Maritza’s floral services to decorate our wedding far exceeded our expectations. We have no doubt that she can transform any event into a dream that you wouldn’t want to wake up from. To be fully transparent, the flowers she provided were the best money we spent. If you choose Ritzwalton it will be one of the best decisions you’ve made. Her talents with flowers are purely a gift from God— it’s sincerely the only way I can explain it. -

I described wanting a romantic, rustic feel for the wedding, aiming to make guests feel as though they were enjoying an intimate dinner at our home. Art Factory Wedding, you need Ritz-Walton!
Ritz-Walton's work made my wedding feel like it was something out of a dream. Maritza and Khalilah were wonderful to work with, they completely understood my vision and brought it to life. Our altar was beyond words, the aisle decor was beautiful, our sweetheart table was like a dream, and the overall look of our wedding was magical. If you're looking for a wedding florist look no further. From my first conversation with Maritza I felt comfortable and at ease. Wedding planning and managing a budget is stressful but Maritza and Khalilah worked with me to help find the sweet spot of making my dreams come true within my budget. They were professional, respectful, and incredibly talented I strongly recommend working with them! -

Before selecting a florist I visited three other florists. No one neared Ritz Walton as far as professionalism or rates! Each time we had a meeting I felt reassured that everything would come together as discussed. Maritza was very patient with trying to understand my vision and her proposal layout was beyond professional; prompt and captured our dream wedding. We continue to meet as the date neared for any updates which she was always very understanding about. My husband and I cannot believe how beautiful everything came out. Absolutely breathtaking!!! Absolutely beyond this world!!! This was truly the fairytale wedding that I never thought I would have but thanks to Maritza and the team she really made it happen. I look back on the photos all the time and just smile because the flowers were so beautiful. Maritza and team thank you so much again for making our day everything and beyond what we discussed. Most beautiful wedding ever
I couldn’t have ever imagined that the wedding would be that beautiful. She also helped to make sure other aspects of my wedding went off with out a hitch. My guest loved her arrangement so much, some guest took the center pieces home. She helped me to find some of my other vendors and doesn’t just tell you what you want to hear but what you need. This is refreshing especially when everyone is trying to upsell you on things. She and her team are a must have. I could not be happier to have had her as part of my wedding. -

Maritza is SOOOO talented! As I reflect on our wedding day, I am truly amazed at how she made my vision come true to and then some! Her team
is so sweet, and added even such warm and positive energy to what was truly an amazing day!
From contracting onward Maritza and her team were super responsive to my questions and amendments as I sorted out wedding day details. I only spoke to a few florists prior to Maritza but was sold from our first conversation and our mutual obsession with blush that she would be the best fit for our day. I also appreciated the expert level floral knowledge her team brought to the conversation and took such care and detail explaining every suggested floral suggestion to me.
Outside of her eye for details and the overall design aesthetic she brought to our venue, we really appreciated all that she was able to accomplish for us within our budget, and didn’t frown at us wanting to make some pieces multi-functional from ceremony/reception.
Maritza and team, are amazing and you will be truly obsessed with their curation of your wedding decor design! -

Maritza and the whole Ritz-Walton team are amazing. From my first video chats with Nellie who made me feel so at home, to my sample visit with Maritza where she showed me the types of flowers she was planning to work with for my wedding, to nailing down final logistic details with Miss A--Ritz-Walton made the whole process so easy and comfortable. Staying within budget was really important to me, and Ritz-Walton made it work without cutting any corners. And the final product: WOW! Ritz-Walton really went above and beyond my expectations. Even despite a hurricane that had damaged their offices the day before, Ritz-Walton delivered the floral landscape of my dreams. No one could stop talking about the giant cascading bouquet Maritza designed for me! Everything from the ceremony background to the reception centerpieces and cake decorations were perfect. Thank you so much, Ritz-Walton, for giving us the most beautiful wedding!!!

When I say Maritza knows how to carry out a vision…. I MEAN IT!!!! Our wedding day was IDENTICAL to the vision we shared with Maritza while planning. Her floral design took our wedding to the next level and to top it all off, her heart matches the beauty of her gift!
From our beautifully curated estate tables to the sweetheart table, ceremony decor and minor details, every guest was in awe….we were in awe! I even cried when she delivered my bouquet because it was EXACTLY what I’ve imagined my entire life.
We are so blessed that we were able to experience her God given gift. She made our wedding the dream that it was and we will ALWAYS remember her and her team!

I booked the Ritz Walton For my upcoming wedding and my recent bridal shower. I cannot begin to express how happy I am about this decision. Nellie and Maritza are not incredibly talented!!! Their energy and amazing personality will brighten your day. Working with them is fun and easy, they listen to your ideas and just make them ten times better than you could ever imagine. Their creativity is out of this world!!! The flowers were gorgeous , open, and fresh. They created a stunning seating area with a floral arch for when it came time to open my gifts. It was a photo moment and huge hit. Nellie & Maritza arrived super early to help set up and then even stayed late and made bouquets for the ladies that wanted them with the remaining flowers from the arch. I am so happy to have found them and know you will too. They are our favorite vendors thus far!!! My fiancé and I are so excited for our September wedding because we get to work with them again!! -

I had the pleasure of watching Maritza and her team create beautiful arrangements for a private event prior to booking her for our wedding. After seeing the magic she was able to create, I knew I had to have her for our special day. Through all of the crazy 2020 presented she kept in touch, was flexible, warm and understanding. My husband and I decided to have a Minimony this year and she turned the petite space we choose for our wedding into a secret garden! It was gorgeous and really more than I could have asked for. The assortment of flowers provided a vibrant look, the palette was chic, my bouquet was beautiful, bold, lush and incredibly fresh-exactly what I envisioned. Her team was efficient, punctual and everything from setup to breakdown was seamless. Maritza was extremely receptive to my ideas and concerns. Wow Factor!
Speechless, in awe, completely blown away are just a few ways we can express how we felt on our big day. We met Maritza over a year ago, and from the moment we met we felt completely comfortable and just knew she'd bring the wow factor to our wedding day. And oh boy did she bring the wow! Maritza is the best choice I made for my wedding. From long before the wedding, through making the choice to postpone our reception due to the pandemic to completely revising our ceremony plan to fit my parents backyard--Maritza was there for all of it.
I contracted with Maritza because efficiency is one of my favorite words and her company embodies that. She provided services for day of coordination and designing and providing drop dead gorgeous florals and then there were the extras. Having to travel from DC home to NJ for our engagement shoot, it was a hard fought thing to have a day where the weather cooperated with us even after having to already postpone due to the pandemic. Maritza was kind enough to give us access to the perfect shoot location at the last minute. She also provided a reference to the stylist who did my hair for the engagement shoot and later, our marriage ceremony too.
Then comes our ceremony-- being in the midst of a pandemic Maritza stood by us and exhibited such patience with us through all the back and forth and of figuring out where the ceremony would be and so many other dynamics typical of a family wedding. All the while, her focus was on me and not the suggestions being made by other people and I can barely put into words how much I appreciated that. That was the planning and then there was the day of--- OH MY GOODNESS!!! Maritza and her team transformed my parents home. Not just the backyard but the front of the house where our first look was and the backyard where the ceremony was and the inside was properly staged for dressing and not feeling it just another day at home. Ultimately, Maritza stayed true to my vision and I am so thankful.
I can't wait to work with her again on both our reception next year and other big life related events and will refer to her whoever else I can. -

Dreamy bouquets!
I am so happy with my decision to go with Maritza for our wedding florals. All I had to do was tell her the colors and theme I was going for, and she did the rest! Wedding planning entails so many options and decisions to make, so it was nice to not have to worry about this and just let her do what she does best. My bridal bouquet was better than I had imagined and I got compliments on it all night. She’s great at working with your budget, as well. It was such a pleasure working with her. I would highly recommend her beautiful work to anyone who needs florals, for whatever occasion. -

I got married 2 months ago at the Art Factory. Not only did Maritza help me plan and envision my day- she and her team brought my vision to life! We hired Maritza to do our florals also and WOWWWW... the waterfalled floral runners, the cascading overhead floral chandeliers, the romantic candles, the candelabras, the twinkle lights, and MY BOUQUET OH MY BOUQUET they were all breathtaking, SO romantic...industrial chic!! ! Well, what can I say without writing a book? I must say, Maritza is a visionary. What began as a search for a wedding planner turned into a family for life! I first met Maritza at the NJ Bridal Expo in 2018 as a referral and left with an appointment for a consultation. Her personality is down to earth, funny and approachable, to say the least. She always has a smile on her face and is very professional. She made my dream wedding come to life as I trusted her and her team to transform my vision into my wedding day of memorable perfection. Every thought I had, she implemented it in SUEPRB fashion without asking. She ensured items were ordered on time and all pieces were coordinated as I had imagined. I didn’t have a budget, but I hired her to plan, coordinate and execute my entire wedding from start to finish at the Morris Museum.
She is very well connected and was willing to assist me with anything I was missing ... (i.e. wedding dress, caterer, makeup artist, hairstylist, cake designer, DJ Entertainment, bartenders etc.) She stayed conscious of the deadlines for all things wedding and stayed in constant contact with me when needed. I always felt like I had no care in the world. Everyone kept asking me how I was doing and I honestly was stress-free thanks to Maritza! The day of my wedding was beyond words. When we had our reveal, I was truly speechless. I wanted a Latin Supper Club vibe and that is EXACTLY what Maritza made happen for us. The special touches with all the red roses were remarkable! The personal touches just for us was unbelievable and unexpected. The table decor, sweetheart table and cocktail hour was memorable and to say the least unforgettable. I wanted royalty, love and amazing and Maritza and her team delivered it on another level. It was our night and in my eyes, we all shined!
Thank you Maritza for being my fairy godmother. You made our wedding the envy of many and an unforgettable moment in time that many will never forget.

I initially met Maritza's work before I met THE Maritza. I attended a friend's wedding (my dear sister-bride) and instantly fell in love with her florals. However, I had another florist booked and my commitment was to her until I was met with an issue with my venue. My venue was severely understaffed and and there was a need to hire a day-of coordinators. That's when my friend recommended Maritza's services as she was both a florist and a coordinator. We spoke for 30minutes and I was instantly sold. Hiring her as a coordinator also included 4 other coordinators (one for the bride, the groom, the vendors, and one for overall). On top of this, she had a special packaged deal with florals if I booked her team of coordinators. Because the coordinating/understaffing was such an issue, I dropped my florist and instantly booked Maritza. Without Maritza's team of coordinators, I would not have had the day I had. I didn't have to worry about a thing and just enjoyed my day. There were many things happening on the back-end and her team had an excellent hold on it. At one point, my wedding cake (a tower of cookies) was attacked by a group of guests that didn't understand that it wasn't time to take cookies as my husband and I hadn't broken into them yet. Her coordinators worked with my MC to make an announcement, and they quickly re-arranged the tower of cookies without me having to worry about it. This is just one example of how they just exceeded my expectations that day. Timing was also super important and her team ensured that a schedule was followed without leaving room for error. It was perfection. ABOUT FLORALS: Within her package of coordinators included florals and because I was so caught up with coordinating and working with the venue on hiccups, I didn't have a chance to focus too much on the vision of florals. Maritza and I had ONE meeting (perhaps 2 months prior to the wedding) in less than 30min regarding flowers (rustic, lots of greens, burgandy, blush, and long stemmed candles) and she delivered an absolute DREAM. She delivered exactly what I had envisioned and once again exceeded my expectations. She understood my theme completely and the outcome was incredible. Lastly, Maritza's company is a black owned family business and throughout the night I kept meeting a few of her relatives that were working (her sister as a coordinator for instance). They were all as professional and delightful as she is and I'm still in awe of this company.....I have and will continue to recommend both her florals and team of coordinators to other brides as her work ethic and vision is unmatched. Maritza, you are my florist for LIFE. I'm not sure if I'll ever again have a party of that magnitude in the future, but regardless the size, not a single stem or branch will come from any other florist except you. THANK YOU so much for making my day as special as it was -

I can't say enough about The Ritz-Walton, Maritza, and her team! From the moment I met with her, I was amazed. What was supposed to be a brief consultation, turned into a 4 hour conversation about our wedding vision, wedding industry, and her experience. I brought my mom with with me, and she was wowed. Maritza is gifted! I wanted a whimsical feel for our wedding-for it to feel airy and light, like I walked into a pretty garden, and my wedding was EXACTLY THAT! Not only that, she surprised me with details on my table, that made the decor even better. Of ALL our wedding vendors, I trusted Maritza the most! She came to the venue to look at the space and imagine what she wanted to do. Mind you, I only hired her for florist services, yet she made sure that the look and feel of the wedding matched what I wanted, by working with the venue team to ensure the table settings were correct. After our wedding, my "sister-bride" hired her to do her own wedding, and it was BEAUTIFUL. Maritza is as professional as she is creative. Hands down, one of the best decisions I made when wedding planning! Also, her rates match the quality provided! -

First and foremost I would like to describe my experience as good. Maritza has a great eye for design and is such a kind soul. Working with her was an absolutely wonderful and pleasant experience. She did her best to accommodate both my wants and budget. The only reason I’m not giving the full 5 stars is because I felt like the day of coordination provided was not up to my expectations. When reviewing my event design I requested a mock table multiple times but was never provided a sample table to determine how I wanted the set up to look on my special day. Additionally, I specifically requested during the planning process to have all tall centerpieces for my guests tables and no low flowers for guest tables. I even paid extra money to insure that all my guest tables would have tall centerpieces but on the day of my guest tables were mixed with both high and low pieces which is not at all what I wanted or requested. That was disappointing. Additionally, the biggest disappointment I had with the day of coordination was my missing signs. I spent months stressing over these wedding signs. I went online, selected the ones I liked the most, then I went to a print shop and had a welcome sign printed, my wedding hashtag sign printed, an our love story sign and his and hers bathroom signs to go along with my courtesy basket. I went out and purchased beautiful frames to display the signs on my big day. Half way through the reception I took a look in the bathroom and lobby to see how the signs ended up being displayed and to my surprise the only sign I found was my wedding welcome sign. I was beyond dissapointed. I asked one of the team members where my signs were and her excuse was they forgot my signs. I wanted to cry so bad. How could they have forgotten such an important detail? I didn’t understand it so I stepped outside and my groom had to calm me down. That was frankly unacceptable. What made me even more upset is the fact that I had no problem bringing my own belongings to the venue but the coordination team insisted on bringing my items over for me and they forgot such an important detail of my day. I’ll never have another wedding day so that was a major con. Otherwise the flowers were beautiful Maritza went above and beyond with the beautiful sweetheart table. The arch at the ceremony was absolutely stunning. Additionally, she provided beautiful table settings and a beautiful complimentary seating chart. I would give Maritza 5 stars for her decor but for the day of coordination more attention to detail is definitely needed. -

Extremely Disappointed
When I met Maritza I was extremely happy to have found her! I mean the communication was great & I loved how her proposals showed the actual flowers that would be used. About 9 months before my wedding is when the communication changed for the worst. Trying to get in contact with her was a complete hassle to the point where I started to feel ghosted, it’s like she was more focused on her cafe shop & she even admitted it down the line. 2 months before my wedding I would call to confirm about rentals I was suppose to have in my wedding, however the number was always directed to her cafe & they would say she’s not here or she’s going to call me back. I never got a call back anytime I called her number. I tried emailing and didn’t get a response until weeks later with a phone call. At this point I’m feeling super neglected & extremely worried I would not have decor for my wedding or something is going to go wrong. I pretty much decided I did not want to use octagons rentals for my wedding & she was thrilled saying she could not find them anyway. It’s a month before my wedding & when was I going to find out about this?! I then started asking about the rentals for my sweetheart table, chairs & cake table. Her response was I would have to get those things myself even though she mentioned she would get those things for me in my proposal. I was extremely annoyed at that & left scrambling to figure out what table & chairs I needed to get because my venue had sets that did not match my decor. On the day of the wedding I received my bouquet & it was NOTHING like what we discussed or was on my proposal. I was supposed to have white roses, white astilbes, white pampas, white lisianthus, & regular pampas grass. I got a complete mess. The flowers looked old & some were limb and dying. It just looked like no thought was put into my bouquet; the flowers were bunched up & looked like it was just put together last minute. I hated it!! For my centerpieces I was suppose to have flowers on the bottom of the centerpiece base, I didn’t receive that. Even my centerpieces were a mess, it’s like you can tell different people created them that none matched; each centerpiece was different, flowers were squished & the pampas was just all over the place. Some pampas looked broken , some were falling over , & some were straight like they should be. I was suppose to have flowers on my cake, I didn’t receive that either. I expected a lot more flowers & candles for my sweetheart area especially since I communicated I wanted the look to be full. Overall my vision did not come together like I thought it would. However , in the moment I really did think everything in the reception room came out how I wanted & it looked nice but once I was able to sit & really look at my pictures is when I realized everything was wrong. I wish I went to every table to really look at my centerpieces because I would have communicated my dislike but then I’m also happy I didn’t because I’m not sure if I would have been able to enjoy my wedding knowing my vision didn’t truly come out like I hoped. -
