The ultimate location. Book the clear top tent, add fairy lights to make it truly magical. Strap yourself in for the food which is out of this world!

Megan was very flexible with us during our ceremony at Kuilima Cove and when it was rained out she helped us relocate the ceremony to the Chapel at Kuilima Point. She was flexible with us and quick with a solution to what could have ruined our ceremony. Frankly, she saved our day. Thank you Megan, from the bottom of our hearts!

Turtle Bay Resort certainly deserves a 5/5 rating! While I was a bit worried in the responsiveness category, it is important to remember that it's because they have SO many weddings and events there. This turns into a positive thing because with all of that experience, they are able to take care of you and operate everything smoothly with no issues at all. Our wedding day ran perfectly. The team is amazing! They executed on a high level and made sure our vision came to life. The property as a whole was perfect for bringing our family together. Having family all over the island, it was a great neutral space for all of us. We also had guests travel from Chicago, Florida, and New York City. Plus, we planned this from our current home in Denver! Turtle Bay Resort pulls out all the stops and gives the vacation of a lifetime to all of your loved ones. We are so honored to receive as many compliments as we have and those are certainly getting passed on to our vendors who made all of it possible. Mahalo nui loa!

we are local but stayed at turtle bay so we wouldn't have to drive all the way into town after the weddding. we got a complimentary upgrade, the view was beautiful & the rooms were very spacious!

We used TB as our venue for our destination wedding ceremony and reception. At first, we sort of decided to do the site visit as a joke as we assumed that the price point would be too high. It was surprisingly reasonable and Sheri Chang, who was our sales manager was a dream to work with. She was patient with our questions and multiple drafts of the contract. She set up a two in one site visit and menu tasting since we were coming in from the mainland.

Our catering manager was Margie Adolpho. She was also STELLAR. She was responsive to questions via email and text and went above and beyond when we thought we would have to cancel our afterparty after a miscommunication about options (not her fault). She helped us to problem solve and helped to make sure everything went off without a hitch, not just with the afterparty, but for everything.

EVERY person talked about how great the food was. Many of them said that it was the best food they had on vacation. The food ended up being a little more than we expected, price-wise, but it was well worth it.

The only thing that I would potentially recommend NOT doing is a room block. It was really confusing and many people were able to find better rates via the TB website. However, one minor issue in planning a destination wedding for 100 people is totally fine in my book. Outside of that, I would not change a single thing about our wedding...other then maybe staying on the island a little longer ;)

This is where my husband and I had our honeymoon! It was amazing! The staff was very friendly and helpful. The views where great, the rooms were clean and there was plenty to do if we chose to do so,

I am so happy I chose to have my wedding at turtle bay resort. It was held at stables beach. All of the planning was easy and Dida made our wedding all come together. Stables beach was beautiful and I couldn't of asked for a better place to have it.

Such a wonderful place to get married. We were treated so special during our honeymoon stay at this resort. We also held our wedding at the hotel and it went off without a hitch!!! So beautiful; I couldn't ask for anything more. If I could do it all over again, I wouldn't change a thing. I hope every bride feels like I felt getting married at this beautiful resort; a princess!!! The stunning hotel and friendly staff made this trip so magical. So happy we decided to have our wedding and honeymoon here. No regrets & we can't wait to return next year!!!!

Five stars for service, location, natural beauty and overall ambience. My husband and I had our wedding ceremony here less than two weeks ago and I can't even begin to say how beautiful it was and how the resort staff went above and beyond for us. If you are considering your wedding, honeymoon or anniversary here, don't think twice. Just book now. It was the most magical time of my life and I only wished we stayed longer. The resort is even more beautiful than it was shown in photos or in the movies. Everyone was so helpful and treated us with first-class service. Mahalo to Dida (Events), Jacques (PSAV), Leilani (check-in), Hoku/Charlene (Housekeeping) and Liz (flowers) for giving us the wedding of our dreams. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. I was born in Hawaii and this would be my first time 'home'; I planned for my wedding to be there. We got married on Temple Beach and had our reception on Hukilau Beach. I had an idea in mind about what I wanted my flowers to look like. I sent a picture of the bouquet I wanted to florists, and Liz from Turtle Bay said that she would be able to do it/something close to it. That was good enough for me! She worked really well with us. She is an amazing florist! My flowers were flawless! They were bright colors and beautiful! I could tell that she worked hard. Even though she had a team of people, she showed up on my wedding day with the flowers and handed them to me. It was a hectic day; so, we met briefly but I can remember her coming up to me and saying, "I really hope you like them!" I loved them! It was perfect for my special day.

Also, because I hadn't been to many island weddings, she was very helpful there. She told us what was tacky and what was perfect. We made so many changes and she was right there with us. She also saved the day. I had boutonnieres planned, a more mainland wedding style and I didn't realize that it looked that way. I had told her that I wanted it to be as authentic as possible. My Samoan family was going to be there and even though I was adopted and didn't know exactly what to do, I wanted it to be as traditional island as possible. Liz asked if I wanted lei's for the men I wanted to honor and the mothers and said that it is normal for them to have lei's. I double checked with my grandmother and she said that lei's were appropriate. She hadn't wanted to tell me, because she wanted me to feel like it was my day. She didn't want to be pushy. But, I was so glad that Liz had told me, because it made everything so perfect. She made the most beautiful lei's for the mothers, grandmothers, and men. The maile lei she made for my now husband was flawless.

I definitely recommend her and her fabulous work.

Venue was even more beautiful my wife and I could have imagined! Everyone is still telling us how breathtaking this wedding was! We are still being complimented on how good the food was, and it was something that we were worried about because we were not able to do a tasting since we live in Chicago. It was worth every penny! Dida Hernandez was extremely helpful, and cooperative. I would love to work with them again...maybe a vow renewal in 5 or 10 years!

Ceci made all of the arrangements for the creation and delivery of our beautiful wedding cake. My fiancé and I live in Lis Angeles and could not make a trip to Hawaii before the wedding so all arrangements had to be made via phone or internet. We had no chance to preview anything before the actual event. At the top of my wish list was a few flowers for the top of the wedding cake so imagine my surprise and delight when this amazing cake arrived adorned with a cascade of beautiful orchids. It was not only lovely to look at but delicious as well. Kudos to Ceci and her staff for a job well done!

We had our dream destination wedding at Turtle Bay resort in July, 2013. Our ceremony was held at the beautiful Kuilima point and reception at the Pavillion. Being from Australia, I initially thought it would be difficult planning our wedding, especially considering how picky I can be with personal touches and detail. However, all my apprehension disappeared with the help of our amazing coordinator, dida and florist, Liz. They made planning our wedding seem so easy, so much so, that on the day of our wedding everyone commented on how relaxed we were...as we knew every detail had been well taken care of. We had a buffet and open bar for our reception, and we recieved heaps of compliments on how great the food and drinks were. Our wedding cake was also designed and created exactly as we had requested and tasted amazing. Overall, I highly recommend having a wedding at Turtle Bay Resort as they have friendly and helpful staff and provide beautiful locations that make for one unforgetable day.

I am so happy we went with Turtle Bay Resort for our destination wedding! Not only is it a breath taking location, the service provided was exceptional. Melina Patrick was our coordinator and she made sure we had the best wedding possible. We met with her the day before the wedding, after countless phone conversations and emails. She went over everything with us and assured us that we would have a great day. The day of the wedding went off without a hitch! Melina made sure everything happened on time, which was very important to my husband and I. During the reception, we had plated dinners waiting for us so we didn't have to go to the buffet ourselves and always had a drink in our hands which was such a nice touch! Bryan was the person who waited on us during the reception. He was such a great guy and made sure we had everything we wanted! If you are looking for a beautiful location and GREAT service for your wedding day, you should definitely go with Turtle Bay Resort. I promise you will not regret it!

Turtle bay was the perfect place for our wedding. It was absolutely beautiful! We had our ceremony and reception at the 18th green which was magical! I wish I could do it all over again. All of my quest have said it is the best wedding they have ever been too! The scenery was indescribable, the service amazing, and the food out standing! Can't wait to spend our first year anniversary at Turtle Bay. True Hawaii!

Turtle bay resort provides the best beach wedding ever. Most beautiful wedding I have ever been to. There is nothing they left out from the lovely beach ceremony to the cocktail hour and the reception was the best . The food was good and the DJ they provided paid special attention to the music he needed to play . We worked with Pura and Mikilani at Turtle Bay during our wedding planning process. They were both so organized and answered any questions we had while trying to find our other vendors. As the date was approaching, Mikilani helped us the whole time figuring out what we wanted and even made suggestions on things we weren't sure about. Our ceremony was in the pavillion with a reception right next to it. Mikilani had the whole thing so organized, I didn't have to deal with any vendors or logistics during my big day. Our wedding ran so smoothly and the views from Turtle Bay were gorgeous and we will forever treasure our memory of being married next to the ocean. Turtle Bay really knows what they are doing when planning a wedding and are very helpful during the process and especially on the day of your wedding!

We had a destination wedding at Turtle Bay Resort. We also stayed at the resort. All the staff were so nice & very accommodating. They upgraded our room to the newly renovated rooms & it was so nice, clean, & had an amazing view. The whole entire property was so beautiful. A much better retreat than the crowded Waikiki & Honolulu. Melina Patrick who was our wedding coordinator was so great. She helped me out a lot & was very sweet. We had about 30 guests fly out to Hawaii for our big day. Our ceremony was on Stables Beach & it was perfect. We had our reception at Kuilima Cove. The ocean view was amazing. The food & drinks were also amazing. We had such a great time dancing. Everything was perfect. I wouldn't have changed a thing! Thank you so much Turtle Bay for giving us our dream wedding!!

I had most of my out of town guests stay at Turtle Bay. It's such a beautiful place and idyllic on the northern part of Oahu. All of my guests loved the resort and seems to be a popular place for weddings and other similar venues.

Even before the hubby and I talked about marriage, individually we knew that Turtle Bay was the place we would LOVE to have a wedding IF and WHEN that day came! And low and behold, we made it it a reality. A destination wedding is what is was. And planning it isn't always easy from the mainland. But what more could you ask for??? North Shore...our favorite place on O'ahu, The Pavilion...gorgeous glass chapel with the ocean breeze blowing through the open doors, An outdoor tented Reception...perfect! But would not have been able to do it without the nicest, most helpful, accommodating, patient, on site coordinator a girl could ever ask for! Thank you so much Mikilani for all your help and kindness during the whole process. You made all the difference in the would and made our experience with Turtle Bay unbelievable! Everything was amazing! Thank you!

We had our ceremony and reception at the Kuilima Point at Turtle Bay Resort. The weather was perfect that day, and the view was breathtaking (overlooking the water, but ceremony and reception were on the grass). The food was delicious - we didn't have time to do a tasting since we are from NY, but everything, most especially the prime rib, got rave reviews from our guests. And we had an open bar, and the hit of the evening was the Hula Girl drink!

Our coordinator from the hotel Joann Dicion was very warm and friendly, and every accomodating to our requests. Everything went perfect, and the we were very happy we had our wedding at Turtle Bay.

We had our ceremony scheduled for the Bay View Beach Point, when we met with our coordinator she took us to the site. There was construction taking place and she offered to move our cerony to another beach site there at Turtle Bay. The resort staff was very friendly! We enjoyed our stay at Turtle Bay!!

I am so grateful with the service and commitment level that Turtle Bay Resort provided to us. The staff was very accommodating and the service was impeccable. Our guests enjoyed the food, our wedding cake was yummy but most of all, the hotel gave us a weekend with family and friends that we will never forget. I didn't want to leave the day after our wedding. Even though the hotel is far from the hustle and bustle of waikiki to my husband and I it was worth every single penny spent to have our wedding at the resort. The grounds are gorgeous and everyone is very attentive. I'd highly recommend Turtle Bay Resorts to future couples :)

We couldn't have asked for more...amazing resort grounds. We stayed in a 4 bdrm villa- perfect place to call home during our stay. Fully furnished- sub zero frig & kitchen stocked w/all the utensils we needed. Washer/dryer, beach toys, water sports gear, even a stroller, high chair, & crutches in the closet! They're prepared for everything even if you don't need it. Best part was that the beach was literally our backyard.
Our cocktail reception was held at the Pavilion and lawn overlooking the water at Kuilima Point & Kahuku Terrace was also blocked off for optimal privacy for our guests. Dinner reception was at the Kuilima Ballroom 1,2 & 3 which had views of the water through glass walls. We had plenty of space, staff was amazing and food had great reviews from our guests!
If you plan to have a wedding there- pls look for Sheri Chang in sales. She was our first point of contact who took the time to share/educate us about Turtle Bay Resort & area & what it had to offer. She was also very professional, friendly & flexible in accommodating our needs for a destination wedding & sold us in booking our wedding there. Tiare Tipoti took over from there w/banquet/conference details & helped us through the planning process. She, too, was very professional, friendly & flexible- putting in many hours of work off duty.
Only drawback was that we didn't have enough time to enjoy all that Turtle Bay has to offer like a visit to Nalu Kinetic Spa- so maybe on a future visit!

Though a little on the pricey side, well worth it! We loved that we could look out our balcony and see turtles swimming right there on our beach! My husband took surf lessons and they allowed me to ride along in the van to watch, which I thought was very generous. (instead of making me drive separately or walk) Everyone was very pleasant and friendly. If we ever come back to Oahu, we will stay here again! Honolulu/Waikiki were very busy and felt much more touristy.

Our wedding day was truly incredible. Tiare was the best thing to every happen to our wedding! She was always amazing about answering questions for us and giving us a straight answer as to what to expect and took care of last minute details we didn't expect to think of the day of the wedding. The ceremony and reception site were more beautiful than we could have imagined! It truly was an amazing experience!

My wedding was on the stables beach. Which was the last location available when booking 5 months in advance. It was absolutely beautiful. We were on the beach with not a person in sight besides our wedding bunch. I got my hair and makeup done that morning at the spa/salon and they did an amazing job. I had a vision and told them and they created it perfectly!! Everything was perfect! One of the best days of my life was spent here.

For an all in one experience that was easy and seamless - exceptional value, beautiful resort. Only drawback is they do not have transportation from the airport and while leaving was easier to find something, arrival of guests was pretty much on their own without assistance even when asked multiple times. Gave them that feedback to improve the service. Other than that, very happy with everything.

As you can see, I absolutely loved my experience with this resort. The only negative aspect that I could find was the slow response time for a majority of the correspondence in the time leading up to my wedding. But they're catering office is pretty busy so I can easily forgive them for that. Luckily, everything else was perfect! The ceremony venue we chose was at Stable Beach and it was simply gorgeous. The sun, the air, the ocean...it was exactly as I had dreamed of. If you fancy an idyllic beach wedding, this is the place to go. We had our reception at Kuilima Point. Once again, it was a breathtaking view of the ocean. And since it was still near the resort, my guests didn't need to walk far to get the restrooms. I was very impressed with the wait staff, the food, the cake, and the drinks. They were all awesome and well within our budget! All of our guests were happy and so were we. It was definitely money well spent. When I am ready to renew my vows, I would love to do it all over again. Thanks Turtle Bay!!!

This place is gorgeous and have nothing but fantastic things to say. Picture perfect venue. This was a destination wedding and my only negative was the responsiveness of e-mails prior to the wedding. I would absolutely recommend this venue to any bride.

A great place to get married. the cost was a bit high, but you only get married once, in most cases, and they do there best to make you feel special on your day.

I had a wonderful time at turtle bay. On arrival, my room was upgraded per my catering coordinators request. It was a large beautiful room with a full ocean view. She met with us on her day off to show us the venues we chose. We switched from the bay view beach due to the high winds they receive on that part of the bay. They moved us to the pavillion. I had to request the windows be washed 2x's prior to them actually doing it, and then there were people going into the pavillion while the runner and flowers were up taking pictures!!! My coordinator was wonderful. She quickly answered all my questions and was very sweet and excited with me! She even helped me put flowers in my cupcakes a few hours before the reception. The hotel is a bit dated, because it is older, but everything was perfect and the food was wonderful. I would highly recommend turtle bay.

My initial experience with Turtle Bay was not a positive one.

As I was organising a destination wedding, all of my communication was via email.

I booked my wedding in the January of 2015, with a wedding date of October 2015.

Up until the last few months before the wedding, I was assigned multiple Conference Managers. I would not be notified when one would leave, I would just eventually (after following up multiple times) have someone else respond to my emails. Generally, it would take about a month to get a response to a simple request. This made the process of arranging other vendors extremely difficult as I was relying on Turtle Bay to provide me with information that I could pass onto my other vendors.

I was then allocated Margie as my Conference Manager - she really turned around the experience I had had with Turtle Bay!

She was a pleasure to deal with and so helpful with all the questions I had.

We also had such a wonderful experience with all the Turtle Bay staff on the night.

We had a wonderful bar tender Scott, who was great with all guests on the night.

The food at Turtle Bay was outstanding - we arranged a buffet for our guests and received so many compliments on how well the catering was done.

Truly a beautiful venue for a wedding and highly recommended - they just need to really work on their customer relations.

We had our rehearsal dinner (40 people) at the resort at the Palm Terrace Restaurant. It was a buffet style dinner, but the downside is that they did not put us in a more private area. Instead, our party was spread out across the front portion of the restaurant. The food was good, but not amazing; but the location is extremely convenient if you are having your wedding on the North Shore.

Beautiful location...sunset is amazing. Food was good per my guests.
I didn't like when they changed my coordinator one week before the wedding.
I also didn't like when they told me they day before of the wedding that they can not do my cake the way I wanted.

Turtle Bay Resort is a BEAUTIFUL location for a wedding! It is such a special place and we really loved it! We had our ceremony at Stables Beach and it was perfect! We had a great waitstaff for our bar and appetizer setup. We had our reception at another restaurant on site - which I would definitely recommend other brides to do just so that you don't rely on the hotel TOO much for the big day.

I would definitely, 100% recommend hiring your own wedding coordinator (separate from Turtle Bay) just to make sure everything runs smoothly if you want to have your wedding here. On the day of our wedding they had forgotten to take down the decorations from the previous ceremony and tablecloths weren't even on the cocktail tables 10 minutes prior to my guests arriving. I'm sure this is because Turtle Bay has so many weddings and the staff is very busy. Lucky for me, my coordinator had taken care of all those details the day of. If I didn't have my own coordinator, this review probably would have been much more negative!

The site was still worth it - everything was beautiful!

Turtle bay is the perfect spot! But trying to plan everything when you are overseas is a bit hard! In Hawaii everyone is very laid back and don't really get back to you. The final weeks leading up to the big day was a bit scary not knowing what the seating plan would look like?? I must say it was the most perfect day, BUT they were horrible to work with. TIP don't stress everything always works out.

My husband and I got married here in April of this year and I'm afraid to say the sales and event catering team at this resort was full of disappointment. I live in California so planning a destination wedding was a challenge of its own but the resort team made it extremely difficult with their lack of communication. During the initial booking process in June of 2013, I was stood up on a phone meeting that was set up to accommodate the sales manager's schedule. I spoke to the upper management and got an apology and a promise that things will go smoothly from then on. After I paid the down payment (50% of total projected cost), I was assigned a catering manager who I was excited to work with because I read good things about her. That excitement did not last long until they switched the catering manager on us. The new catering manager WAS HORRIBLE. The new catering manager took over our event from October of 2013 and I'm going to list what went wrong since then.
1. She did not address some of the questions I had until I asked her in person when we checked into the resort for our wedding.
2. She did not make us feel welcomed when we checked into the resort in the week of our wedding.
3. I found out the day before our wedding, that her phone number's been changed for quite a while. Hence, no communication was avail to us when it got close to the wedding week.
4. I thought maybe she messed up so much cause she was busy but I found out that our wedding was the only event scheduled on the entire resort for the entire weekend.
5. She told people certain things that weren't true.
7. Grand finale: SHE MESSED UP ON OUR FINAL BILL. I'm not sure if it was her or another department's responsibility but she was supposed to send us the final bill to review which never happened. Without giving us an opportunity to review the bill, our credit card was already charged the wrong amount and IT TOOK 2 MONTHS FOR EVERYTHING TO BE FIXED.

The wedding cake was delicious (thank goodness) since we were pretty much forced to purchase the cake from them, otherwise they were going to charge us $4.25 per person cake cutting fee. I thought that was pretty ridiculous. We had our ceremony at the Pavilion. It was absolutely beautiful. It cost $1200 for the hour. It was pretty price-y but I don't regret it. The reception was in the Kuilima Ballroom. It was also a beautiful place, we had large windows with views of the ocean throughout the room. We had the Luau dinner buffet for our guests as well as a sushi chef. The food was very good.

That's about all of the nice things I can say. The rest was not to great. The service from the time we tried to book the venue until the two weeks before the wedding went from poor to so-so. The coordinators were very hard to get a hold of. We wanted to get married there because it was so beautiful so we sucked it up and tolerated the poor service. I booked in Feb 08 for an Aug 08 wedding. I orginally spoke with a Jennifer Moons who almost never returned my phone calls. I think she didn't want to deal with me, or at least that is the impression that I got from her, because Sheri Chang ended up becoming our coordinator. I know these girls are extremely busy but that is there job. I had the same issues with never having my phone calls returned. I asked about floral decorations because I was in California and I had never been to Turtle Bay and I had no idea about what decorations were needed. Sheri Chang told me that she would talk to our florist and make sure that we had all of our bases covered. She new the florist and had worked with her in the past so I trusted her. I shouldn't have. We ended up with two vases of flowers, six small center pieces and 50 mysterious floral leis that no one ordered. Now that I look back, it's not that big of a deal but at the time it was pretty upsetting. Also, we ordered and were forced to pre pay for serveral bottles of a specific wine. However, we did not receive them, instead we were given some cheap terrible wine. My husband was very upset and demanded to get what we ordered and paid for, they said they didn't have it even though we had pre-paid for it 30 days in advance. After about 45 minutes they appologized and ended up bringing us a wine list of what they actually did have and we were forced to choose between what they had. Then, once we made our choice, they took another 30 minutes before they brought the wine. By that time, everyone had already finished dinner. So we ended up with all of these bottles of wine that they delivered to our room because nobody drank them. We had to leave them there because we couldn't carry that many bottles on the plane. It was a complete waste of money and it was completely unnecessary for us to have been made upset.

I am frankly shocked to read all of these positive 4 and 5 star reviews, because my husband and I had an atrocious experience planning our wedding at Turtle Bay Resort. While I agree that the venue is breathtakingly beautiful and the hotel staff are friendly, working with Turtle Bay Resort and their event planning staff was our BIGGEST headache of the wedding planning process.

Apparently Turtle Bay has gone through multiple management changes that affected their level of customer service and level of competence. Now don't go on blaming this on the venue being in Hawaii. Every other Hawaiian vendor my husband and I hired was professional, responsive, and competent. Even for Hawaii standards my local Hawaiian wedding planner said this was the worst vendor and venue she's ever encountered.

If you are going to book your wedding with Turtle Bay Resort, here is the level of incompetence and atrocious customer service you will receive:

-Having your designated go-to wedding coordinator change 3 - 5 times,m and having to re-explain everything all over again with each new person you deal with

-When my husband and I had the last wedding coordinator change, their email (yup, NOT a phone call but an email!) said, "Someone will get back to you within the next month." This was THREE MONTHS before our wedding day, meaning someone was going to get back to us within TWO MONTHS before our wedding day.

-No responses or return of calls, even after you call, email, and leave voicemails

-Inconsistency. What they tell you now or what you sign in the contract will change again, and the worst thing is they will deny whatever had previously been agreed upon.

-Hidden costs (ie: pay for 1/2 the site fee for a rehearsal and an extra charge for your coordinator to be there; or $500 minimum fee for booking brunch the morning after the venue)

-They will let you know you are just a number, and that you are not important.

Bottom line: book your wedding venue elsewhere!
