Easy and Amazing!
Stu did such an amazing job! He created a beautiful ceremony for us. It was exactly what we had hoped for—meaningful, personal, and perfectly concise. He struck such a great balance, and it truly set the tone for the entire day.
We’re so grateful for how smoothly everything flowed and how effortlessly he transitioned us into the celebration. It meant a lot to us to be able to be so present in that moment, knowing we were in such good hands.
He was responsive during the planning and writing process and was happy to made edits to create the ceremony script we envisioned.
Highly recommend to anyone looking for a great officiant!!! -

Stu was perfect!
Reverand Stu was the perfect choice to help our day special and unique! His personality was genuine and sincere, and when we met over a zoom call he took the time to get to know us and curated a ceremony that was specific to our personalities. He was responsive to our inquiries, and was early to the event and made sure every aspect was exactly how we planned. The attendees commented on how they enjoyed his style, and it was a day we will never forget. We really appreciate Stu and anyone looking for an officiant should stop looking immediately. -

Fantastic Officiant!
I was an October 2023 Saratoga bride & am so happy with my decision to book Rev Stuart as our wedding officiant. We first met him when he was an officiant at a family wedding & knew he would be a great choice for our own. It was lovely working with him throughout the planning process. All the steps along the way were easy & stress free. We had a few zoom calls & once we built our script, we had full ability to edit and make it tailored to us. He made our ceremony feel very special. He spoke so eloquently, cracked a few jokes & made us feel at ease. I would absolutely recommend him to anyone getting married in the area -

The Perfect Super Last min officiant
We ended up booking Stu on Friday afternoon to be our officiant for Sunday morning. We just needed someone to sign our documents for a micro wedding in our garden, just me and my husband and a photographer. Even with no notice Reverend Stu listened to what we were doing, who we were and put together a brief speech for us that was the perfect vibe. Couldn’t have worked out better. -

Fun, personal, and easy process!

Beautiful vows
Reverend Stu was fantastic! We saw him on WeddingWire, and we knew he was the one for us immediately. He wrote our vows and we couldn’t have done any better. It was unique, sentimental, personal and just the right length. He introduced humor appropriately. Our guests loved it as much as we did! -

He will have your guests raving about the ceremony!
We wanted 20 mins for a ceremony TOPS and in that 20 mins Reverend Stuart filled it with joy, tears from family members, and a ton of laughs! Guests were actually coming up to us saying the ceremony was so much fun and that Rev Stuart was amazing! He was also flexible in helping us do a whiskey unity ceremony and had great suggestions on small changes to our ring ritual that made it even more meaningful. He also gave us a beautifully printed version of our vows as a keepsake and handled the filing of our wedding license for us. In terms of communication before the wedding, we had a blast speaking to him during our video calls. He really made our ceremony so special and entertaining! -

So lucky to have found him as our wedding officiant!
From the moment we first met, we knew Reverend Chernoff was our guy! After meeting with us and getting to know us a little better, he wrote the most heartwarming ceremony. He is a truly genuine and warm man and made my entire wedding feel peaceful but also inspired by his words at the end of the ceremony :) He is above all else a professional, and he beautifully delivered everything we asked for! Absolutely amazing!
Reverend Stuart went above and beyond to make our day special. He took the time to chat with us and get to know us prior to the wedding. He was so accommodating with regard to the time change of where we live and he even carved out time on his off days to chat with us. Now that is dedication!! The ceremony was perfectly executed and we couldn't have been happier! All of my guests were raving about the Reverend and many asked for his contact info for their weddings. I recommend using him a thousand times over! I am so happy he married us and we wouldn't have wanted it any other way. If you are wondering if you should hire him...the answer is HECK YES! The best guy!
Rev Stu was EVERYTHING we could of asked it. From the moment we met Stu we knew we wanted him to officiant our wedding. His personality & sense of humor from day one said it all. We went over everything we would have liked in detail through FaceTime, which was very quick and efficient for us. Everything he drew up for a final draft was perfect and exactly what we wanted. Choose Reverend Stu - you will not be disappointed!
Reverend Stu married my sister-in-law as well as re-married my mother-in-law. At my mother-in-law’s wedding in 2014, Reverend Stu gave us his card and said, “For whenever you guys are ready.”
When my husband and I got engaged in 2017, we knew right away who we wanted to officiate our ceremony. Reverend Stu is passionate about his work and it shows throughout the planning process. He takes the time to get to know you as a unit and what matters most to the both of you as well as what each of your values are in order to create a ceremony that will be unforgettable by you and your guests. It was easy brainstorming ideas with him to incorporate little touches that would give meaning to you and your families. We are both not religious (I was raised Catholic and my husband’s family is primarily Baptist), but it was important to us that our families felt connected and knew just how much being raised by them the way we were meant more to us than could ever be conveyed – after all, we would not be who we are (together and individually) without their continual guidance and support.
Our ceremony was the biggest part of the best day of our lives, which we will never forget because of Reverend Stu. It was full of sincerity: light with some added inside jokes and just the right amount of seriousness – which is exactly what we wanted for the start of our wedding. If you are looking for an officiant who will strive to give you a ceremony that speaks volumes and makes your day all the more memorable, you will not be disappointed. My husband and I can’t wait to see what the future holds for us and we hope to be able to involve Reverend Stu somewhere down the road. -

Made the ceremony the best part of our wedding
Rev. Stu was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding! You won't find anyone more sweet, caring and attentive than him. We wanted a non-religious ceremony, and Stu went above and beyond to write us a ceremony that was true to us as a couple. It was so beautiful and sentimental, and funny too! A perfect reflection of us. My wife was so nervous to stand in front of a whole room of people for our ceremony, but Rev. Stu was incredibly patient, and gave her tips to help her stand up there without feeling so nervous. He was able to take a part of the wedding we were the most nervous about and turn it into the highlight of our wedding! We had guests that day (and for weeks after) coming up to us saying the ceremony was their favorite part of the whole wedding (with comments like "and I NEVER say that" or "and I never cry at weddings, but I cried at yours!"). It was our favorite part of the day, and Rev. Stu helped make memories we won't forget for our entire lifetimes. -

Amazing!!!
Reverend Stuart was amazing. When my husband and I got off FaceTime after meeting Reverend Stuart for the first time, we both said "I like him." Since we moved across the country, we never met Reverend Stuart until the day of our wedding..crazy! But throughout the planning process, he was open to face timing, del with the time change, and always answered emails timely (and I sent a lot!). When he sent us the rough draft of our ceremony, I cried reading it. The rough draft was the final copy, no changes needed. He knew us just from a few short meetings, wrote an amazing ceremony and even when I was crying during the ceremony he would say something to make me laugh. He truly was great. He didn't rush the ceremony but also didn't drag it on. He kept it short, sweet and simple. I would definitely recommend him! -

Great person!
So when it was time to find an officiant to marry me and my husband I didn’t know where to start until I found Hudson valley officiants and started to read reviews I came across Rev. Stuart and so many mentioned how he had a great sense of humor that automatically caught my attention we FaceTime a few times which was very convenient but the first time I spoke with him I already knew he was the one just thru his way of being his personality I couldn’t have made a better choice we loved our ceremony thank you Rev Stuart! -

The Greatest!
We hired reverend Stu for our wedding this past August and we could not have made a better choice. Reverend Stuart, my now husband and myself had a few FaceTime calls prior to the wedding for him to get to know us and our story a little better so he could write a ceremony that was truly catered to us individually. It had the standard, classic pieces we wanted, but he also added small bits and pieces that made it really special and unique. He sent it to us before hand to proofread and I had tears in my eyes. It was perfect. Everyone loved his ceremony, especially us! Reverend Stuart kept it interesting and kept us smiling and laughing as well as all of our guests, instead of putting them to sleep like at some ceremonies. I highly recommend reverend Stuart! -

Best day of our lives
Where do I even begin?! Reverend Stuart was absolutely incredible at every level. He was personable, spiritual, professional and a wonderful human being. After marrying my younger sister and my brother in law, I knew he was special and I wanted him to perform my ceremony one day when I met my soulmate. The way he delivers the ceremony is absolutely perfect and magical After we talked to him the first time via FaceTime, we knew we wanted him to perform our ceremony and marry us. He made everything so easy and perfect. Anytime we wanted to talk to him he was available and was so personable and warm God bless Revered Stuart. Reverend Stuart is the best!
When my husband and I were looking for a wedding officiant we didn’t know where to start to who to trust with this important task. We found Hudson Valley Ceremonies online. We read through some reviews and liked how responsive the company was with our inquires. We read several of the biographies of the officiants they provide and really liked Rev Stuarts. We facetimed with him a few times and we really liked his personality and his sense of humor. We discussed everything that was important to us as a couple and really wanted the ceremony to fit us. Rev Stuart did a fantastic job writing our ceremony. He really listened to what we wanted and it was perfect! My husband and I are not religious and we wanted the ceremony to be more about us as a couple and the love and friendship we share. The ceremony was sentimental, sweet, personal, and at times funny! It was exactly what we wanted. He even did a more unique Celtic ring ceremony that our guests loved! Reverend Stuart was professional and made our ceremony feel so personal to who we are. We cannot express how happy we were with our ceremony and our choice to go with Reverend Stuart. -

My husband and I knew Stu from growing up in the Woodstock area and always knew him as a fun, talented, and caring member of the local community. When we saw his name while looking for someone to officiate our Wedding at Onteora Mountain House, we recognized him immediately and knew he would just be the perfect fit. Neither my husband nor I are religious (although his mother's family is Jewish and I was raised in family of Italian catholics), so we knew we wanted a ceremony that respected all Faiths while remaining Agnostic.
We had an initial meeting with Stu via Skype where we got to know him and learn about what he does -- he has a commitment to delivering a high-quality "show" that will pack an emotional punch while remaining light hearted and sweet. He has pages and pages of beautifully-worded, carefully-crafted ceremony ideas to help get you started in planning your ceremony. More than anything, his ceremony ideas showed us that he was able to create the perfect vibe for a ceremony that would be tailored specifically to us. He also helped us understand the actual marriage license filing process and after the Wedding, did the filing for us -- a huge help! On the day of our Wedding, he was supportive, helpful, and calm. I got the sense that he was completely in control and prepared and he really made sure to assure me that he had it covered.
Our wedding was lovely, but our ceremony was exceptionally lovely, and was one of the most raved-about parts of the day. Stu reads the audience beautifully, cracking jokes when appropriate, and making you feel the true magic of the moment. We cried. We laughed. And we had FUN.

Rev Stuart gave us the perfect short and intimate ceremony that we were looking for. My husband and I chose to the the Friend Officiates package through Hudson Valley Ceremonies - this allowed us to have a close friend of the family do a reading at our ceremony but we also had a small elopement style ceremony for just us and our parents to see. It may have been unconventional but it was what we really wanted. The ceremony he provided was meaningful but also upbeat and fun. Your wedding will fly by before you know it, so for us, it was important that we got to have a small moment together before the madness and Rev Stuart made this happen in the best way! -

After speaking to him we loved his sincerity and his sense of humor, and that he is comfortable doing really any type of ceremony, whether it be traditional, off-beat, religious, or not, or something completely different all together. After meeting to discuss specifics and what we were looking for in our wedding ceremony, he crafted a personalized and very thoughtful, meaningful, ceremony for our wedding that spoke to who we were as individuals and as a couple. We highly recommend Reverend Stu to be the officiant for your big day! Rev. Stu was professional while at the same time being down to earth, easy to talk to, and full of great ideas to make our vows personable and elegant. We met with Rev. Stu prior to the wedding and went over all the different options for how to customize our ceremony. Rev. Stu worked with us to incorporate all the details in the ceremony that were important to us and create a base that we could build from. We received a detailed document going over all aspects of the ceremony and a first draft of the vows. We then customized our vows and Stu worked all of our adjustments into the final draft. Rev. Rev Stuart was perfect for us - a mixed race, interfaith, and same-sex couple. From the moment we spoke to him over the phone, we knew that he was up for the job! When we met in person, he had already given a lot of thought to ways in which we might combine our traditions and hit the right tone - serious but full of fun and laughter. He incorporated our ideas and rituals seamlessly and kept everyone's attention. In fact, the feedback from our 60+ guests has been over-the-top! We had our wedding on October 8th, 2016 and we could not be happier with the outcome. I met with two officiants and stopped looking when we met Rev. Stuart. He was the perfect fit for us and for what we were looking for. Great sense of humor and personality - my husband and I both really clicked with him! Very professional and kind. He was great from the very beginning in being able to accommodate our busy schedules and our need for a skype meeting to get to know each other. He wrote our vows and we just had to repeat after him. But I think he would accommodate whatever style you have. So whether you want the long ceremony with home written vows and a wine ceremony or short and sweet, traditional (like we did), he will deliver. I highly recommend you schedule a consult to speak with him. He's a really cool guy. -

Reverend Stuart officiated our September wedding and we could not have been happier with our ceremony. He took time months before the wedding to speak with us, and really was able to get a sense of our values and what is important to us. I have nothing but good things to say about Reverend Stu. He helped us to figure out how to make our ceremony reflect who were are as a couple (irreverent and barely sentimental) and it came out great. Even the small mistakes we made we quickly smoothed over with a bit of humor. At the ceremony, he was a calming and peaceful presence when everybody else was nervous and excited. Afterwards, he and his date were a great addition to the reception. Hire him and you won't regret it, especially if you're looking for somebody more casual and nontraditional. -

The thought of planning our wedding was very overwhelming. Especially the wheres and hows. Then my brother in-law came to us and told us he Knew of the perfect officiant for us. I can't praise Reverend Stuart enough. He was extremely professional and experienced in his work. My husband and I got married on 09.26.15 by Reverend Stuart! He's absolutely amazing! We did FaceTime for our consultation we were cracking jokes from the get-go. He made us feel comfortable and accommodated us to our every need. If you can't meet him in person you can talk via email anytime, phone, or Skype. Instead of the typical ceremony we did a cheers! Working with Rev. Stu was absolutely amazing! From our first meeting with him, we knew that there was absolutely no one else who could perform our ceremony. Rev. Stu took the time to make sure that our ceremony was reflective of us as a couple, and made the whole planning process easy and simple - he truly made us feel included in the creating of our ceremony. He took the time to come and work with our families at a rehearsal the night before, and filed our marriage license for us, which took a lot of the stress out of the day. All of our wedding guests laughed at the myriad of funny moments, and teared up at the truly endearing ones. Everyone commented after that they had never had so much fun at a wedding ceremony before, and that was all thanks to Rev. Stu. Our only regret is not hiring him and his band to play our cocktail hour! Look no further for the perfect person to make your big day meaningful and fun. (He even brings his own hankies!) -

Rev's very presence brought a sense of calm and unfiltered joy to the rehearsal and the day itself. Without him, our ceremony would not have so exquisitely united and inspired everyone in attendance. It was a tricky thing overcoming religious preferences and differences in backgrounds, but he managed to convey that all were welcome and he reminded them that true love exists and perseveres. On top of that, he made 'em laugh!

Rev. Stuart provided a beautifully worded and meaningful wedding ceremony for us this past weekend. As it was the second marriage for both of us we also wanted our children included in the ceremony. When we met in the spring to create our ceremony he recommended using unity sand, a different color for each of the five of us, as a way to incorporate the kids. Our children loved this idea and our guests were very touched by the way it was explained and represented the joining of all of our lives together. Prior to our ceremony our two youngest started to get nervous, Rev. Stuart assured them everything would be ok and he would be right there to help them after they walked down the aisle.

At the last minute, on Valentines Day Weekend, Reverend Stuart saved our wedding. We were in need of an officiant at the last minute because a close family member was snowed in up in Boston. Reverend Stuart was amazing. He was an excellent co-planner and communicator via cell and email as we last minute collaborated. He traveled back from a personal getaway to perform our ceremony at HeartsEase Mansion in West Park, NY. He arrived early. Reverend Stuart's ceremony was beautiful and meaningful. After a telephone conversation, I immediately wanted Rev. Stu to be our officiant. We really wanted our ceremony to feel intimate and romantic and Rev Stu really helped us make that happen!

Reverend Stu was phenomenal from the moment we had our first conversation with him. Reverend Stu was so kind and patient with us. He gladly explained the wedding ceremony process to us and gave us ideas and advice to help us create a wedding ceremony that was personal and reflected our personalities. Rev. Stu was the only officiant we met with because we knew from our first meeting that he was the guy for the job. He was totally open to our style, and put together a ceremony catered to our taste. He took all our feedback and made a great wedding day. He even made an executive decision (cleared with the bride) to switch out red wine for white during the wine ceremony, as red could stain the wedding dress and ruin the whole day. At our first meeting with Reverend Stu he put us at ease that everything would go smoothly. We discussed in detail what we wanted and what was important to us for the ceremony. On the day of the wedding Reverend Stu spent time with both my husband and I to ensure we were calm and helped us with some of the small details. He truly made the ceremony totally us and till this day family and friends comment on how beautiful the ceremony was. I highly recommend having Reverend Stu officiate your wedding. -

Rev. Stuart was a wonderful Officiant at our wedding. He is both friendly and professional, and helped us every step of the way - answering any questions right away, and meeting us in person to get a sense of us as a couple. He kept our ceremony traditional and modern, adding a wonderful sense of humor at the same time. Our guests were entertained, and enjoyed a quick and touching ceremony at the same time! My husband and I could not have asked for a better person to officiate our wedding ceremony than Rev. Stuart! He did a wonderful job of making our ceremony truly represent my husband and I as a couple. Not to mention that all our guests came up to us throughout the reception saying how much they enjoyed Rev Stuart's charisma and sense of humor during our ceremony! From the moment I saw Rev. Stu's photo I knew that he was the perfect Rev. to officiate our wedding. We were able to skype before our wedding day, and it became even more clear that he was the perfect fit. He understood that we wanted to incorporate being traditional with a modern twist and a dash of funny. He delivered just that with our personal vows (included with a joke that we asked for). He arrived on time for our Tattoo Shop wedding, he came appropriately dressed mingled with our guests. He was worth every penny and I hope to use his services again when we renew our vows in a few years. I would recommend him to anyone and everyone who even thought about using him. He's Great! -

Reverend Stu was wonderful! In planning our ceremony he was extremely flexible. He gave us passage ideas that we used as well as incorporated our own words/vows to truly create a fantastic custom ceremony that reflected my husband and me. Our wedding guests were also completely enamored with him. Everyone commented on the beautiful ceremony and were sure to add kind words about Rev. Stu (how well he spoke, what an amazing job the rev did, how they usually get distracted during most wedding ceremonies but were focused on our ceremony the entire time). I could go on, the compliments kept coming. I highly recommend Reverend Stu, you will not be disappointed! -

Rev Stu was exactly what we were looking for in an officiant. He was professional and knowledgeable, and helped to incorporate our original ideas into our ceremony. He speaks clearly and eloquently, and met with us in person prior to our wedding day. He is also often available via email and Skype, so any time we had questions they were answered quickly. Reverand Stu was great! Our ceremony was wonderful, he was easy to work with and made us and our kids (aka 2nd marriage bridal party!) feel comfortable and laugh a lot! Our only complaint was he missed a couple of small details we had written as part of our ceremony... nothing our guests picked up on but we noticed. Not a big deal, though, and we got a lot of great feedback from our guests on what a beautiful and fun ceremony we had. Thanks Stu! -

Rev. Stuart provided us with a beautiful ceremony, written personally for us. We provided him with our ideas and he took it from there. The end product was a ceremony that really spoke to us and exemplified who we are.
Rev. Stuart can officiate a wedding with all sorts of styles, though upbeat/funny seems to suit him best. We wanted a ceremony with a more serious/traditional style, and he was able to pull that off beautifully. Many of our guests commented afterword that he did a great job and they really liked him.
He arrived early for the ceremony and made sure everything was off to a good start. He stuck around afterword for cocktail hour which was a nice touch. He was very responsive and professional in his communications with us.
We definitely recommend him! Thank you, Reverend Stuart! -
