Loved our rehearsal dinner at Red Fox!

We hosted our rehearsal dinner at Red Fox and it was perfection. The food was absolutely delicious - our guests raved about every dish - and the tavern room was beautiful. It was the perfect setting for an intimate dinner with our closest friends and family. The staff was so attentive all night, offering guests drinks upon arrival and making sure the entire dinner ran smoothly. It was the perfect start to our wedding weekend in Middleburg and we can't wait to visit for dinner again often!

The perfect wedding venue

We are so happy we chose to get married at Red Fox. The venue itself is so, SO beautiful, especially the courtyard gardens where we had our ceremony and the secret garden where we had our first look. It was perfect for the romantic, intimate, summertime garden wedding we were looking for.

From the very beginning, the Red Fox team (especially Ashley and Anna) were incredibly professional, detail-oriented, and a true pleasure to work with. On the day of the wedding, they ensured everything ran seamlessly, allowing us to fully enjoy the moment. The staff went above and beyond with their hospitality. When a waiter accidentally spilled wine on a piece of my grandmother’s irreplaceable embroidery at the reception, they quickly cleaned it and had it beautifully restored and waiting in our room by the end of the night. That level of care meant the world to us.

And the food and drinks? Absolutely phenomenal. We're still hearing from guests about how much they loved the meal.

We can’t thank Red Fox enough for giving us such a beautiful and unforgettable wedding day!

Red Fox does it right

We’ve been coming to Red Fox for years and when we got engaged we immediately knew where we wanted to get married. Red Fox does everything right, down to every detail. They’re professional, flexible, and so welcoming. The venue is gorgeous and there are so many fun ways to configure your ceremony and reception. The setting is amazing any time of year, the gardens are so dreamy as a backdrop. As a Bride I loved being able to get ready next to the ceremony gardens and watch guests take their seats. Ashley and Anna are amazing and so fun, you can’t go wrong booking at the Red Fox.

Absolutely amazing venue

We loved our experience at the Red Fox Inn. We did their elopement package which was perfect for what we were looking for, an intimate wedding with family and best friends. The gardens are so beautiful and a big reason why we chose this venue. The team at Red Fox was so wonderful, the service we received was great and their events director Ashley was always available to answer any questions and made sure we had everything selected in time for our big day. The package they offer is wonderful and relieved a lot of stress involved with wedding planning. The food was outstanding and one of our guests who is a chef commented it was the best wedding food they have ever eaten. Highly recommend this venue, we could not have been happier.

Beautiful venue with an incredible team!

We held our intimate wedding and reception at The Red Fox Inn & Tavern in December, and it was a truly magical experience from start to finish! We had the pleasure of working with Ashley throughout the year to plan out our dream day, and the entire Red Fox team absolutely delivered! Ashley was incredibly professional and helpful throughout the planning process.
The venue is exquisite, and it was the perfect place to host our festive, hunt-country themed December wedding. Every backdrop was absolutely stunning, and the food and drinks were divine! Our guests were all blown away by the venue, as well as the hotel accommodations.
I couldn't recommend this venue highly enough -- it was a truly magical day!

Beautiful wedding at The Red Fox

We had the most beautiful wedding at The Red Fox Inn & Tavern! Ashley and her team were so amazing to work with - extremely responsive, friendly, and caring. Middleburg is such a charming and lovely wedding destination that our guests loved visiting (especially guests who were able to stay with us on the Red Fox property). The food at our wedding was wonderful, and the "Date Night" experience to visit The Red Fox for our menu tasting was such a wonderful little highlight of the wedding planning process! We heard nothing but amazing reviews of The Red Fox and their Events team from our friends and family. We look forward to visiting The Red Fox Inn many times throughout our lives to relive our wonderful memories of our wedding day!

We worked with Kelley Cannon Events for our wedding planning and couldn't recommend them more, either - they have a great relationship with The Red Fox and have pulled off many beautiful weddings there. An Evening in the Washington Room

If you are looking for a timeless wedding venue, the Red Fox can't be beat. We decided to have a small wedding on our original date with a larger reception postponed until spring, so two "weddings" meant we had to be careful with our budget. After talking with the events coordinator, Ashley, we decided that the Red Fox would be worth the price tag because everyone was so flexible, thoughtful, and accommodating. For example, when the Governor announced new COVID safety protocols, Ashley moved our reception dinner into a larger space to ensure social distancing.

I was lucky to spend two nights in the charming and well-appointed Middleburg Cottage, which features a private garden, a full kitchen, and a collection of hunting art. The Cottage has a guest room with twin beds, which is perfect for a night-before-the-wedding hangout with your bridesmaids! It was also the perfect place to take pictures and get ready on the big day. The morning after our wedding, they delivered a hot breakfast and coffee to our cottage.

After getting married at St. Stephen the Martyr Catholic Church down the street, my guests took pictures on the Red Fox Inn's grounds surrounded by blooming flowers and carefully cultivated climbing fruit trees. Our dinner in the Washington Room was one of the best meals I've ever had, and the service was exceptional. Ashley worked with my wedding planner on the timing of the evening and the pace between dishes. To save money on music, they let us play a Spotify playlist through the speakers. Because we had a consumption bar, we ended up going a little over budget, but I don't fault them for it because that's often hard to predict. (And my father in law says he's never had a better Old Fashioned.) Our guests have raved about our reception for weeks. Overall our experience was literally perfect in every way and worth the slightly-larger-than-expected price tag!

Above and Beyond and Absolutely the BEST!

The RFI&T Team blew it out of the water. I, along with all of our family and friends, could not have been more impressed (and I have very high standards!). From the overall service, to the food, to the accommodations, to the team themselves, I loved every single thing about working with the RFI&T. Our experience was incredibly personalized. We received handwritten notes, catered date night for our menu tasting, and thoughtful texts/emails/calls to let us know the team was there to support us in any which way we needed. Our 45 guests came from all over the country and I couldn't have been more excited to show off the RFI&T. Again, everything truly took our breath away. The staff was one step ahead of us the entire process which for a bride, was INCREDIBLE! I knew I was in good hands which allowed me to enjoy every single moment. I don't write reviews often, but I cannot say enough wonderful things about the RFI&T. I built relationships that will last a lifetime.
Hard to put into words the gratitude we feel for making our wedding one of a kind and one for the books!

My husband and I hosted our son and daughter-in-law's rehearsal dinner at the Red Fox Inn & Tavern. Ashley Sykes Hawkins, the Events Director, used her expertise to make the dinner a raving success. She is extremely well organized and kept me on a timeline when I needed to make each selection for the guest count, seating arrangement, and menu. She arranged for the Graphics Department to print custom menus and place cards based upon our dinner invitations. Ashley also gave me a list of items included in the standard table setting and added elegant black bamboo chairs. She placed votive candles on the tables and mantles to make the Jeb Stuart dining room look magical. She also recommended a local florist who created beautiful centerpieces. The canapes, appetizers, filet mignon, seared scallops, and chocolate torte were excellent! The ladies who waited on our tables were courteous, professional, and very personable. Everything went seamlessly and we will never forget it.

We had a group dinner for 16 people at the Red Fox Inn and the entire evening was amazing. The appetizers were delicious, the entrees for dinner were perfectly cooked and the service was outstanding. We would definitely return.

Outstanding service, the place is beautiful and it lends to an elegant event. My Wedding was everything I wanted and more!!!! The staff is friendly and helpful. The Events Director, Ashle Sykes Hawkins went out of her way to bring to life what I had in My mind.

Ashley coordinated an amazing experience for all of our guests. Our party is so grateful that Ashley was able to throw this even together for us so last minute. The children had their own table and were served and out of the room before the adults ate. Our wedding at the Red Fox definitely exceeded our expectations! Ashley is wonderful to work with and highly experienced in wedding planning, she expertly pathed us through the decision-making process on the details, was very helpful in making food choices and selecting linens and tableware, and went above and beyond on the day to make sure all details were right! We had a small snow storm a few days prior to our mid-March wedding and Ashley made sure all the snow was cleared off the back patio so we could still have an outdoor tented ceremony! Also the Red Fox food was amazing and the service wonderful! Would highly recommend this venue to other couples!

Becky Armstrong of Middleburg Events Studio is like a great composer and conductor, who wrote and conducted the most grand and beautifully performed symphony - aka our daughter’s and son-in-law’s wedding reception! Bravo Becky and Middleburg Events Studio!!! This organization and its people, along with its venue partners and vendors, are a class act! Our daughter first reached out to Becky for advice in selecting a reception venue over a year before the wedding date, and the composition was born! With Becky’s assistance, our daughter and son-in-law chose a beautiful small farm in Loudoun County for the reception (one of Middleburg Events Studio’s featured venues)…….historic barn for the cocktail reception and tent for dinner and dancing. We needed to source everything for the reception – tent, lighting, tables, chairs, linens, tableware, vintage furniture and chandeliers, caterer, DJ, cake, bluegrass band, restroom trailer, valet parking staff, golf carts, guest shuttle buses, and limos. But no fear……our composer Becky reached out to her various preferred vendors, got quotes, either made or assisted with detailed arrangements, and before we knew it the entire score was written and ready to perform! Then came the wedding day, and Becky conducted the entire performance start to finish and never missed a beat! Bravo Becky!!! She coordinated very well with all of the vendors, the owner of the venue, and most importantly with our daughter and son-in law. She has a special knack for keeping the parents of the bride in the loop too! Becky has a very high and infectious energy level and is a lot of fun to work with; she is truly a lovely person. Lists….contracts……timelines….she kept it all straight and organized! We simply could not have done this without Becky and Middleburg Events Studio! The only thing that we would do differently is to have contacted Becky sooner. If you need help with your event, this is the place that can bring it to life!!!

We hosted a cocktail and sitting dinner for a wedding rehearsal dinner (26 guests). Red Fox staff went above and beyond on all levels. The preparation of the event was extremely easy and the most professional I have experienced. The food was very good, well presented and the portions very generous. What surprised us the most actually was the quality of the service during the event: the number of staff allocated to our event was excellent as every guest felt really pampered - drinks refilled very promptly, plate service extremely fast, care and attention to details (such as the plate for toddler meal) beyond expectation. This is definitely a venue I would recommend to anybody for any event. I would have had the wedding there is our guests count had permitted. Everyone complemented me on this dinner.

The Red Fox Inn hosted our rehearsal dinner, handled all of the catering, photography, flowers, rentals-EVERYTHING. It was handled beyond any imaginable expectation and everything was perfect. The service, staff quality of food was far above any other event we have experienced anywhere. I would recommend this venue and expert staff to anyone. It was absolutely spectacular.

Becky at MES made our wedding day PERFECT. She gave us checklists of what to do, when, leading up to the big day, which kept us on track right from the get-go. She and our venue team at the Red Fox (http://www.eventsatredfox.com/) worked together like two peas in a pod. She introduced us to the INCREDIBLE vendors who did our flowers (Nature Composed http://naturecomposed.com/), music (DJ Romin https://www.weddingwire.com/biz/dj-romin-llc-herndon/0e732ca3774b3ab9.html), and stationary (Miss Merkle http://middleburgeventsstudio.com/vendors/miss-merkle-design-invitations-and-paper/). She thought of every detail--things we'd never think about--and handled them with such finesse and positivity, it made our day joyful beyond imagination. We hired Becky Armstrong for 6 weeks out planning and day of coordinating, and it was truly one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. Becky is simply amazing to work with! She really listened to and understood our vision, and then executed it perfectly. We greatly appreciated her feedback on our ideas and questions, it was honest and coming from her professional experience while always keeping to our vision for the day. She is so organized and on top of things - she managed our families (not easy!), coordinated all of the vendor arrivals and departures, put together a very detailed day of timeline, event lay out, walked through everything with us at the venue a month out, offered her creative ideas, and so much more. The wedding day ran like clockwork, thanks to her. If there were any hiccups that day, we certainly could not tell! Thank you Becky for all you did to make our day perfect!

I cannot say enough about Becky. I secured the wedding venue with less than 6 months to plan and had I not found Becky to work with us, there is absolutely no way we would have pulled it off. From coordinating with all the vendors, to keeping the bridal party focused (at rehearsal), to keeping me (the bride) sane, she was always there to provide whatever was needed and when. I cannot stress enough that this wedding would have been entirely different without Becky and Middleburg Events Studio. Do yourself a favor and hire Becky, and the team at Middleburg Events Studio.

We were recently married at our parents’/in-laws’ home in Middleburg, and it was a beautiful event—all thanks to Becky Armstrong and Middleburg Events Studio. From design and concept of the weekend’s events; to vendor selection, planning, and management; to corralling the 200+ (guests and vendors) on the day-of, Becky’s talents truly shined. To name just a few:

She has great taste and experience. Becky truly listened to our vision, ideas, and concerns; gave candid feedback based on her experience of what could and couldn’t work; and scoured both local and web-based resources for ways to make our event the best ever. And, she succeeded!

She is organized and detail-oriented. Becky is reliable, accessible, and responsive. She sets and meets deadlines and does the same for other vendors (and even us). She’s accountable. There was never a doubt that she’d get the job done and get it done well.

She has a temperament that’s remarkably well-suited for the job. She is unfailingly upbeat and high-energy, generous with praise when it’s merited, firm and direct when it’s not, and across the board a joy to work with. She leads when the situation calls for it, but is always flexible, and listens and responds to her clients above all else.

It’s true that we could’ve been married without Becky, but it’s equally true that without her, our event wouldn’t have been nearly as perfect as it turned out to be. We are thrilled with our decision to hire her, and could not recommend her for your event more.

Very polite and efficient servers. Outstanding presentation of the menu and the private dining area was elegantly decorated. The prices are extremely reasonable. Staff showed responsiveness and flexibility in accommodating last minute requests.

I chose the Red Fox Inn for a wedding reception brunch for 53 people. We had so many people comment on how lovely, intimate, and cozy the Inn was. It was a beautiful reception. The food was delicious, the location is gorgeous, and the exclusive use of the second floor was very private. The event coordinator, Ashley, is incredible to work with. She offered great ideas when I needed them, make helpful suggestions, responded quickly and thoroughly to my questions, made accommodations that were above and beyond what should have been reasonable, and thought of details that never occurred to me. She was a welcoming face and comforting presence on the morning of the reception. She was friendly to guests and family members, as was the rest of the staff. I really couldn't have asked for more or a better experience.

Our family celebrated our daughter’s wedding this past Saturday, and we were greatly assisted by Becky from Middleburg Events Studio. We engaged Becky to serve as a “day of” coordinator for this event – but “day of” doesn’t begin to describe the fabulous resource that Becky proved to be. From the very beginning seven months prior to our event, Becky gave us a feeling that the overwhelming number of details involved in planning a wedding were going to be “do-able” … and she provided us with lists of tasks and timelines. Becky was an encouragement and a cheerleader as we worked our way through her lists, giving us freedom to make our own decisions. Becky was present for the wedding rehearsal, herding cats, and providing structure. The day of the wedding, Becky was with us for the entire day – coordinating vendors, solving unexpected problems, and absorbing the inevitable stresses associated with a complicated event – so that we could float peacefully above it all. We would heartily recommend the services of Becky Armstrong and Middleburg Events Studio.

Our wedding at The Red Fox Inn & Tavern was absolutely perfect and we are so appreciative of the hard work and dedication that Matilda, Ashley, and the whole staff put in to make our day special. Every last detail was looked after and taken care of by the amazing team at RFI and our guests were floored by how beautiful the courtyard, tented patio, and restaurant were for the wedding. The food was spectacular, which is hard to pull off with 135 guests, and the service was top of the line. We actually had guests tell us after the wedding that it was the nicest wedding they'd ever been to. Wow! We truly could not have asked for better wedding planning and day-of wedding experience. My dad always says "you get what you pay for" and in this case, it is 100% true. Thank you, RFI!

The ambiance, food, service and attentiveness was wonderful. The planner knew exactly the quality we wanted for the bridal shower and how to create a beautiful setting with crackling fires, daffodils and a fabulous Bloody Mary and Mimosa bar. The ladies had a great time and the bride was thrilled. Perfect place for a classic Virginia hunt country setting.

I could not say better things about both the Red Fox venue and the team there. Before my husband and I even visited, we had a feeling it would be our favorite venue. It was pouring rain but we could still tell how special and beautiful it was. The Red Fox was also so unique in that it let you use so much space -- the garden, the patio, inside the lovely inn. And they worked with you on so much. We really didn't want to have different vendors for lighting, food, tables, chairs, linens, etc. That was all part of the RF package -- even a tent. They made picking all those things out really fun and easy. Finally, the team is seriously amazing. They take care of every last detail and even sat for hours with me to make sure the seating chart worked for me. They make your personal day so special! Any bride would be lucky to get married at the Red Fox!

The Red Fox Inn is one of our favorite special occasion restaurants, so we didn't think twice about contacting them to host our rehearsal dinner. The majority of our guests were traveling from out of state, so we really wanted a unique location where we knew the food and service would be exceptional and The Red Fox Inn did not disappoint. We rented out two rooms upstairs, one for a cocktail hour and appetizers, the other for dinner. Both rooms were so quaint and intimate. Matilda and the events team were extremely helpful throughout the planning process and responded to our questions quickly and provided great suggestions as we put together the menu. All of our guests raved about the food (we knew they would), the service was excellent and the night proved to be as special as we had hoped.

Everything about our wedding was fabulous. Matilda was hands-on all the time, and very fast in responding to emails and phone calls. The service was amazing, the staff were wonderful. The rooms were beautiful. The details in planning every meeting we had leading up to the day were astounding. I loved the bottle of Verve Clicquot in our room after the wedding, such a special surprise. The food was fantastic! My sister, who has traveled all over the world, said it was the best Filet Mignon she had ever eaten. The cake from Salamander Bakery was beautiful. Even though we had to move indoors because of poor weather, it could not have turned out better for us. We shall cherish our day forever. I do have one recommendation, that you add The Corner Garden florist in Middleburg to your preferred vendor list. The bouquets and flowers we ordered from there were absolutely beautiful and working with Ty from the shop was brilliant. Planning our Rehearsal Dinner for 50 followed by Welcome Reception for 150 was made so easy, fun, and seamless working with Ashley and her events team at the Red Fox! The outcome was a beautiful, intimate, delicious dinner followed by a festive, fun, and equally delicious reception! Ashley handled last-minute seating changes without missing a beat and made excellent recommendations throughout the whole process. Of course, we can't say enough about the incredible space; the ambiance of this historic venue cannot be beat, and the tented terrace twinkling with lights created the perfect setting to kick off our wedding weekend. On a scale of "1 to 10 our wedding at the Red Fox Inn was an 11”. The garden was so beautiful, we had many compliments from our guests — from passing the drinks before the ceremony, to the beautiful tables, and set up on the terrace for the reception. The food was amazing, the portions were generous, and the service, was over the top, the staff was friendly, and accommodating, and the synchronized serving made the evening elegant. In lieu of a wedding cake, we had a pie bar -- apple, pecan, coconut custard, and lemon meringue. It was a big hit with our guest.

We’re so glad we decided to have our family stay in the guest rooms, the evening of our wedding. The rooms were perfect, and it allowed everyone an opportunity to enjoy our celebration. Matilda, Ashley and Becky work together with each other, and they are very professional.

Our rehearsal dinner for 30 guests in the JEB Stuart room was excellent! From the beginning when deciding on the venue throughout the planning and coordination process, the staff was always professional and attentive. Finally, the atmosphere, service and the food was superb!

Lovely Private Birthday Dinner

Red Fox hosted our group of 10 for a private birthday dinner and could not have been happier with our experience. The event staff was a pleasure to deal with throughout - pleasant, helpful, prompt and patient. Everything was ready for us exactly as described when we arrived. The service was excellent and seamless, the room was cozy and comfortable, food was delicious, wine selections were excellent. It was a very special evening, just as we had hoped. We would be delighted to plan another event at the Red Fox.

They were sometimes hard to contact. Most likely due to the volume of calls and business for the season. However, when you have a question, it can not always wait a day or longer to be answered. Our company has had many events at the Red Fox over the 20+ years we have been in business. We LOVE the venue, love the history, love the atmosphere and LOVE the food.

Red Fox took care of everything, including ceremony and reception venues, linens, meal, cake (through Market Salamander) making the planning and coordination very streamlined. Matilda was very professional, prompt, and knowledgeable when it came to all aspects of our wedding weekend. She was a pleasure to work with and created the perfect atmosphere for the day. The Red Fox events staff was very flexible and accomodating to all of our requests and inquiries. Many of our guests described our wedding as perfect and the best wedding they've ever attended and we thank Red Fox for being a major factor in delivering the wedding of our dreams. Our contact was not always available on Mondays and Tuesdays, so some communication was delayed, but usually within a reasonable amount of time.

All in all, beautiful venue, delicious food, easy to work with. Thanks Matilda!

My husband had been to a wedding at Red Fox several years ago and said he had a great time. We were having a difficult time finding a vendor, so when I called and heard that Red Fox was available, we booked it- without myself seeing it. Middleburg in itself is beautiful, so I knew Red Fox would be as well. It was amazing and beautiful. We gave them a budget and they were very cautious of us staying within that budget, and were very flexible on costs. The staff and coordinators were very helpful and professional.
The only thing that I would keep in mind, is that since this is an Inn, we were required to book 7 rooms as part of our contract. Since my husbands family lives out of town this was not a problem. They just stayed at the Inn.

My husband and I were recently married at the Red Fox Inn & Tavern. From the start, Matilda was extremely helpful for a couple just starting the wedding planning process, up until the day of the event, which went off without a hitch thanks to the professional staff and organization from the months of planning. Red Fox Inn was a great place for our group of 12 people to gather and have a very nice dinner before our annual board meetings the following day. The menu selection was a nice variety. The food and service was wonderful.
