When looking for a venue, I was looking for something very specific. Ideally, I wanted to do something at a hotel so I wouldn’t have to worry about my guests drinking and driving, but I didn’t want it to feel like a hotel if that makes sense. Income, the Queensberry hotel, the Gold room/queens ballroom completely exceeded my expectations. Original Torazo flooring, crystal chandeliers, and a dreamy, black and white lobby floor that just made my wedding photos look absolutely insane in the best way! Not only was the space absolutely amazing, but the food was to die for. Genuinely worth every penny, it’s been a month since I’ve gotten married, and I will get pictures and relive every single moment every day. Everyone I worked with was extremely attentive, caring, and detail oriented. Kamay and all of the staff made us feel so welcome and taken care of. We genuinely didn’t have to worry about a thing.

The Queensbury Hotel was an absolute delight to work with for our wedding day. From the very beginning, their communication was attentive and responsive, making the planning process seamless. The venue itself had an intimate feel that was perfect for our celebration, and the rooftop photos we took were simply stunning. The staff went above and beyond to ensure everything ran smoothly, and our guests raved about the delicious food and comfortable accommodations. We couldn't have asked for a better experience!

We would very much like to thank the staff at the Queensbury Hotel for doing such a great job at our wedding. We would especially like to recognize Kamay, Catering Event and Service Manager, for all her efforts in designing, setting up and running our special event.
The Queensbury Hotel put on the most wonderful wedding for us. The wedding ceremony, cocktail hour and dinner party all went off perfectly. The wedding venue in the Adirondack East and West Ballrooms, was beautiful and was set up perfectly.
The cocktail hour was a big hit. The twin bars were very efficient. The drink selections pleased everyone. The room was set up beautifully with a good mix of high tops and sit down tables. The passed trays and the charcutterie board were superb.
The main dining and dancing room, The Queen’s Ballroom, was set up perfectly. It had a huge dance floor which was filled with dancers. The meals were served promptly and we had rave reviews on the dinners with the steaks and salmon done medium rare as requested and the vegetarian meal was well received. The desert, a gluten free, rich, deep chocolate cake was sensational.
The event manager Alexis, and Banquet Captain, Joann, and all of the kitchen and serving staff were great. We also want to thank Maddison at the front desk for all her help the day of and the day after the wedding. We thank the Queensbury and the staff for making our wedding event memorable.

From start to finish, every one that helped me plan my big day was very responsive to messages/calls, kind, organized, friendly & very accommodating. My husband and I knew we wanted our wedding to be very unique to us. The Hotel staff did a phenomenal job at making sure that our day was everything we want, and then some! During our day, the staff kept in contact with me regarding the plans for the day and how I wanted things. They were right there if I had any questions as well. Family members and ourselves had rooms for the weekend and we enjoyed all of the on site amenities and were thrilled it was a short walk to local dining and bars. This Hotel is also stunning and made for some gorgeous wedding photos. I would recommend this Hotel to anybody wanting an affordable yet luxurious stay, or an affordable yet luxurious wedding or event.

The Queensbury Hotel was the absolute BEST decision we made for our wedding. The staff at The Queensbury worked tirelessly to make us and each of our 300 guests feel valued. The food was amazing, we are still hearing from guests about the amazing filet. The entire planning process was professional and productive. I never had a moment of panic before or on my wedding day because the staff earned my full trust. We had the best day of our lives, and I cannot recommend The Queensbury enough.

Everything from the minute we arrived down the following day of our wedding was top notch. We had so many guests rave about the food and the entire experience. The staff was very accommodating and didn’t miss one detail. Highly recommended.

The staff at The Queensbury helped us to pull off an incredible wedding! From the very first interaction with Alexis to meeting with Ali and Bruce, we always felt heard and cared for in our whole wedding planning journey. They were so responsive and patient with our many questions. Bruce was there on the day of, all day to make sure we were comfortable and everything went as planned and went above and beyond to help us pull it all off smoothly. The banquet captain Joanne was so wonderful to work with and made sure that we were fed and hydrated during the reception, something we truly appreciated when we were caught up in all the excitement. We could not have asked for a better experience!

Wow..where do I even start? My husband and I got married at The Queensbury this past September of 2024. I found the Queensbury online when looking for a wedding venue. The Queensbury was the first one we looked at in person and fell absolutely in love with the whole place. We looked at 2 more venues but I couldn't get The Queensbury out of my head. Originally we did want an outdoor wedding but everything changed once we saw The Queensbury. Our wedding this past September was an absolute dream. The food was amazing... everyone couldn't stop talking about it after the wedding, the staff was amazing, each room in the hotel was different. Everything went so smoothly and I can't thank The Queensbury enough. Bruce Curtis the (Catering & Conference Service Manager ) made sure our day was everything and more, thank you Bruce! My husband and I got married in Lobby ( which was my favorite part of The Queensbury ) ! I would recommend this venue to anyone.

We just came off of our wedding weekend at the Queensbury and they did an amazing job! Alexis helped us the entire weekend and was nothing short of spectacular! Her and the staff at the Queensbury are tremendous!

My husband and I got married at The Queensbury Hotel 10.6.23 , I knew from the moment we looked at the venue I wanted to get married there. I felt the venue spoke for itself - true beauty and we could keep everything to a minimum and we did! Aside from the beauty of the venue the team was amazing to work with! Thank you "B" Team (Bruce and Becca) you both were amazing to work with! Bruce you truly went above and beyond on our wedding day to make everything run so smoothly!! THANK YOU! Aside from them, any other staff member was great as well! They made everything so easy. The food was amazing, all our guest were extremely happy with the food from cocktail hour to dinner! Bruce even made sure we were able to enjoy our own cocktail hour after some photos were done. If you're considering The Queensbury Hotel don't second guess it, I'm sure you'll be just as happy as we were. Thank you all again, for going above and beyond to make us feel so special :)

I have nothing but amazing things to say about The Queensbury! My husband and I started looking for wedding venues in 2022 for our 12/31/23 wedding. We had been to so many 518 local venues that we wanted something different. We fell in love with The Queensbury Hotel and it's historical hometown vibe. Our wedding was going to have around 200 guests so we were not going to fit in the existing ballrooms at The Queensbury, but they had a new larger Ballroom expansion in the works and we signed a contract before construction was even finished. Looking back was probably a risk, but everyone we encountered at The Q was amazing and we knew it was the perfect place to tie the knot. The venue coordinator Bruce was simply amazing and went above and beyond to accommodate everything we wanted for our wedding! We had our rehearsal dinner there in Park 26 and it was simply amazing. The rooms are all newly renovated, but still hold that historical feeling. Since we got married in December, the lobby and hotel was decorated for the holidays which all of our guests loved. I truly cannot recommend The Q enough! Whether you have a small or large gathering they have many options to make your event special. Food, Bar, Service and Atmosphere was amazing!

I am stationed in Alaska (from the Queensbury area) and my wife is currently living in Florida, Alexis made the process for us very easy. She helped us so much and the day of the wedding was far beyond our expectations, the venue was gorgeous, the food was amazing and the staff were extremely pleasant and professional at all times.

Our wedding at the Queensbury Hotel could not have been better. From the planning process to the day of everything was smooth and easy. Our guests raved about the cocktail hour appetizers and absolutely devoured their entrees. The staff was attentive to all of my needs from management to service and made each moment special. The dance floor was were I spent most of my night and was the perfect size to accommodate our large wedding. I wouldn’t change a single thing about my day!

The Queensbury Hotel was great throughout the entire experience; communication, responsiveness, and the venue was beautiful. The Albany Room was the perfect venue for our elopement.

Our wedding at the Q was perfect! Becca and the events team were so attentive during the planning process and on the event day and accommodated all of our needs. Our guests are still raving about the food! I would definitely recommend working with them!

Looking around for a venue that gives you the best value and quality for your money can be a long stressful process but I will say if you are looking in the hotel categories north of Saratoga look no further.

From our first tour around the place to our Christmas greeting card we just got in the mail, we couldn’t be happier with the staff at the Q hotel. Rebecca and her team coordinated the best day ever, she was so invested in making sure every detail was just right, and would talk over the phone with me in great detail which I appreciated greatly! She really made sure my vision came to light and it did! They were very flexible and provided us with quality service on our big day and all the days leading up to!
The venue itself is just beyond charming, with just the right amount of modern updates to compliment the original hotel style and architecture… which makes it feel so upscale and classy, its a great canvas for anyone looking for that style wedding, and not needing a ton of extra decor because the venues beauty itself shines through!
The original ballroom layout + attached side room(not sure official name) with open French doors allowed for perfect flow of guests throughout the evening. And having the cocktail hour in the lobby which is like my all time favorite 🤩 was just the cherry on top!! Stunning!
Guests still talk about how delicious and generously portioned our meals were and we also loved the food.
On the day of we were able to get photos taken on the roof top at golden hour which was just another great experience!
The hotel rooms were excellent as well, especially our bride and groom suite!!!
From the days of planning to the day of and day after Q hotel did wonderfully by us and I would highly recommend this venue!

We had our wedding at The Queensberry hotel on 1/14/23. Becca was absolutely amazing! She is so talented and helped to make our vision a reality. She handled the few unexpected issues that occurred so seamlessly that our day continued on with ease! She and the team at TQH transformed our ceremony and reception spaces into fairytale settings. It was more perfect than we could have even imagined.

Working with The Queensbury for my wedding (and bridal shower) was an all-around amazing experience!

I primarily worked alongside Rebecca Cornell (and a separate wedding planner, Kate Taylor). Rebecca was such a joy to work with! Her kindness, excitement, flexibility, and professionalism really made me feel valued as a bride. She continuously assured me that her goal was to bring my wedding-day-vision to life while also providing practical guidance. She was always prompt in her emails to me and available to take my call. Honestly, at the end of all the planning and the day itself, I just wanted to be her friend!

Although Rebecca was my main point of contact, the entire Q staff were great! I had a very particular vision for how I wanted the aesthetic of my reception (the actually ceremony was in Glens Falls City Park). The Q offers lovely ballrooms, but I didn’t want “that typical ballroom look”. They have a room, The Gold Room, with beautiful original tile, natural light, and of course beautiful gold accents. That was the room that really drew me in. Part of my vision included having long banquet tables, instead of round tables. The staff was a bit hesitant with using these kind of tables in this room. They had never done it before and weren’t sure that they could fit my guests in comfortably. After many back-and-forth email exchanges and revisions to the floor plan, The Q came through! My desired floor plan, with the long tables, was approved! Having The Gold Room and this type of seating was a big desire of mine––I am so thankful for Rebecca and the rest of the staff and their endless brainstorming and work to make this dream a reality. The space ended up looking fantastic! We were able to do the eating and speeches (Though, I will say, the acoustics in the room made it a bit difficult to hear) in The Gold Room and the dancing and dessert in the adjacent (connected) ballroom. If I can update this later, I will provide pictures once I have them.

The food was also amazing! I was able to have both the salmon and filet and they were both delicious. I am not usually a fan of the dinners served at weddings, as it sometimes tastes kind of bland. I could be biased with my own wedding, but I believe I heard people comment on how good the food was— definitely full of flavor! As for the bar, my dad and I went back and forth with consumption versus open bar. I believe he talked to Rebecca, and did some of his own calculations (estimating how many drinks each person would have). He ended up deciding on a consumption bar, which in the end saved him a significant amount of money. My husband I also did signature drinks. His was a classic Whiskey Old Fashion and mine was a Raspberry Gin Fizz, a drink on The Q’s regular bar menu. The Old Fashion was great, from what I heard. Unfortunately, but for the sake of honesty in this review, the Raspberry Gin Fizz was not great. It seemed like it was inconsistent in flavor and often had the egg white missing. It’s usually a great drink, so I was bummed that it didn’t taste the way it normally does! But, in my opinion, that was a minor mistake.

Speaking of drinks, cocktail hour was a dream! We were able to host it in the main lobby. The lobby is stunning with it’s ceiling to floor windows and original black and white square tiles!

As far as other accommodations, we paid a fee to utilize one of their small conference rooms as a getting-ready-space for the groomsmen. It was nice because everyone in the wedding party could use the space to store their bags and other things throughout the day to when the reception ended. My husband and I were also provided a complementary stay in one of their king suites (all the rooms are really nice and recently renovated) the night of the wedding.

I can’t say enough good things about The Queensbury, from the responsiveness and kindness of the staff to the natural beauty found in such a historic hotel, I had an amazing wedding day! I genuinely couldn’t be happier with how things turned out!

We had our wedding in May at the Queensbury Hotel and it was amazing! We worked with Becca through our planning process and she was the absolute best! She is so accommodating and always answered the questions we had promptly. She also checked in on us throughout the wedding day and made sure everything was perfect. We loved her!!

Our wedding day went so smoothly and no there were no hiccups. The hotel was so prepared and had the lobby and ballroom looking amazing. Everyone raved to us about how good the appetizers and dinners were!!!

Having our wedding at the Queensbury Hotel was truly a dream come true. From booking with them in 2019 to having to postpone due to the pandemic...the staff have been beyond amazing and accommodating. Becca and Alexis are the absolute best to work with. They eliminated all stressors with wedding planning. Choosing which package to go with was a breeze, coordinating a block of rooms for all of our guests was mindless (we all live out of town). Becca truly went above and beyond to ensure our dreams became reality and then exceeded any expectation we ever had. Becca ensured we were able to check in early on Friday. The appetizers for cocktail hour were out of this world delicious. All of our guests were blown away with dinner. The bar manager made us feel special by taking time out of his busy day to create "his" and "hers" drinks and making changes to suit our likes vs dislikes. We cannot stress enough that all of the staff are truly amazing! We would host any family event at the Q and will tell anyone that will listen about the absolute perfect weekend we had. From check in to check out we were just in awe of how we were treated! 10/10 recommendation! We are almost sad that the wedding is over and we will no longer be working with Becca and Alexis. We highly, highly urge everyone to book all events with The Queensbury Hotel. We promise you will not be disappointed!

My husband and I had an amazing experience working with the planning team and felt like royalty the night of our wedding at the Q! Becca and Alexis were spectacular to work with and were always going above and beyond during the planning process. Planning a wedding is stressful enough. When you add the challenges of planning a wedding during a pandemic, it almost seemed impossible. These ladies were excellent at returning phone calls, answering questions, and calming nerves that came along with the unknown from the covid pandemic. They were flexible, organized, professional, and best of all (and most important to me) personable during this process. Becca was an angel the day of the wedding and made sure everything went smoothly and dealt with my nervous antics like a pro! The event staff was excellent! My husband and I and our guests did not have to worry about a thing other than celebrating our marriage. The convience of having everything all in one location was perfect! The ceremony, cocktail hour, reception, and lodging can be all in one place with several things to do pre/post wedding within walking distance. We are so happy with how everything turned out and had the most magical and memerable day we could have ever hoped for!

We reached out to the Queensbury over Labor Day weekend last year, as we had booked elsewhere and I was completely miserable with the service I was getting. Jennifer responded to my inquiry that same day, a Sunday over a holiday weekend, and encouraged me to view the property and review the wedding packages. She was so sweet and helpful, we knew we were in the right hands. The property itself is gorgeous and has such an elegant and historic feel to it. We opted to get married in the City Park across the street, which is not affiliated with the hotel, so we dealt with Glens Falls on that. The reception was in the Queensbury ballroom, which is just beautiful.

Once we signed our contract, we were introduced to Matthew, who took over from there. He was very responsive to my many many emails, and even took time our of his day to speak with my mother each time she had a question. The food was amazing, the service was incredible. Matt and his team even came over to the park with some refreshments while we were taking our pictures, which was such a delight! We had an open bar all evening and a brunch the next day for all guests who stayed at the hotel.

The entire weekend was perfect because of the Queensbury's dedicated team of professionals. Matthew and Jennifer both always made me feel welcome. If you are looking for a unique and historic hotel to have your wedding, you will be so happy that you chose the Queensbury Hotel.

My wedding was a huge success! The setting was beautiful and classy. The staff were absolutely wonderful to deal with. A list of local vendor was supplied which helped me start my planning. Communication was as often as it needed to be. The stress of making my day wonderful made me reach out often, mostly in the couple months prior. Requests to meet were never turned down. The food was amazing; not one person had a complaint about it. I was actually told by a few people that it was the best meal they ever had at a wedding!! I think the cost was reasonable for the setting. In the end, we were expecting a refund and thought there would be "hidden fees" that would've been kept by the hotel. Not the case! We were refunded exactly what we expected and in a timely manner. Did I mention that the food was amazing? Many many thanks to Jennifer and Matt, as well as all the support staff, in making our day magical!!!! (Regretably, I can only post a few pictures. Unable to access many pictures for some reason.)

Thank you for helping make our wedding so amazing! The space was beautiful, from the ceremony in the lobby to the reception in the Adirondack Room. Evelyn was the best and super helpful! Everyone was great and I am so happy we chose the Queensbury for our wedding. :)

We used The Queensbury Hotel for our rehearsal dinner, post-wedding breakfast, and room block. Both meals were held in the Gold Room. The food and service were excellent. I have a food allergy and the manager, Evelyn, took special care to have the chef set aside a delicious and safe meal for me. She is very well organized and communicated well with both sets of parents while planning the two meals. We appreciated her work!

Given that we had our wedding in the peak tourist season of late July, the room block prices were reasonable for our out-of-town guests. Many enjoyed the pianist and bar downstairs. The bridal suite had an extra living room area but it seemed to be just two rooms joined together. I would skip that expense.

The Queensbury has recently been renovated to revitalize the charm of its historic rooms. The Gold Room is a beautiful space for a moderate-sized crowd and a seated-meal. The architecture speaks for itself- you don't need much decoration. The pillars might make a full wedding reception with dancing in The Gold Room difficult, but that's why they have the Ball Room down the hall!

The wedding was May 18, 2019. Turned out to be an absolutely beautiful day! The Queensbury Hotel was not on my original wedding venue list. A friend/bridesmaid of mine had mentioned a wedding she had attended at The Queensbury. This friend/bridesmaid raved about the beauty of the venue and the delicious food. Jennifer Bliss gave my fiancé (now husband) and I a tour of the The Queensbury Hotel. We fell in love! The lobby is stunning! The ballroom has a beautiful wood dance floor! The cocktail hour room, ballroom, and bathrooms have these absolutely beautiful chandeliers. The location, the beauty, the new renovations, the staff, and the “home town feel” had us sold! And of course the affordability helped big time. Throughout the planning process Jennifer Bliss and Matt Shelton answered my every email in a timely manner for almost two years of planning. They were amazing! We planned a breakfast for the following morning after the wedding for our guests and it was more than we could have imagined. The breakfast was a very enjoyable way for us to say goodbye to our guests. I have very few negative things to say about The Queensbury Hotel. The only negative things from the ceremony/wedding were fixed and accommodated immediately. The Queensbury Hotel is not obligated to help with your ceremony outside the hotel even if it is across the street in the park gazebo. My DJ asked for a table and chair for equipment during the ceremony. The Queensbury Hotel was not obligated to but after talking to the DJ, the two vendors worked it out themselves. The wrong beer was served during the beginning of our cocktail hour but when caught by the mother of the bride was fixed shortly after that. And some guests were charged for the last hour of the reception for drinks. There was a miscommunication regarding open bar and this was fixed immediately as well. This venue was perfect, our wedding was perfect, and our weekend was perfect. Thank you to The Queensbury Hotel!

The Queensbury Hotel was a beautiful location for our wedding reception, especially for the fall. Service was great, food was delicious, and our guests keep telling us what a great time they had.

It was rather simple to plan, everything went smoothly except that they had planned a prom directly after our ceremony which we held inside which led to us being rushed when it come to pictures by our alter. Other than that the food was fantastic and the reception went perfectly. So glad we decided to have our ceremony and reception at the Queensbury!

We truly loved many aspects of The Queensbury Hotel for our wedding. The food was outstanding and every dish was flavorful and beautifully presented. The space itself is gorgeous, with a lot of character, and the charm of the town made the entire experience feel extra special. The guest rooms were also very charming and comfortable, which our friends and family appreciated.

That said, there were several significant challenges with the coordination and staff that impacted our experience. Our assigned wedding coordinator seemed completely unprepared and was extremely difficult to reach. She left at 7:30 PM, several hours before the wedding ended at 11, leaving us and our families to manage much of the event ourselves. Because of this, we had to step away to plan and execute the cake cutting, which ended up taking place after she had left. It was very stressful to juggle these responsibilities on top of enjoying our day. During the day, the venue was very specific about what they would set up. I had my MOH and wedding parties breaking a sweat all day setting the spaces up which we also were not allowed to do ahead of time.

The front desk staff, while kind and friendly, sometimes appeared unsure about processes or how to handle certain situations, which added to our anxiety. For example, we had arranged to use the venue’s bar for drinks the night before, but only one staff member was assigned, and it turned out it was her third shift ever. We felt so bad for her as she did her best to manage everything on her own, but it was clearly a difficult situation.

Additionally, while the guest rooms were lovely, the “getting ready” room felt very corporate and lacked comfortable seating such as couches or armchairs. A more inviting space would have made the pre-ceremony preparations feel much more relaxed and enjoyable.

In short, we absolutely loved the food, the character of the venue, and the charm of the town, it is a beautiful place for a wedding. However, the lack of professional coordination, early departure of our coordinator, and some staffing challenges made parts of the day more stressful than they should have been. With better staffing and a more competent coordinator, this venue could truly be outstanding. If I wasn't extremely type A and didn't have a proactive support system, it would have been a nightmare.
