We can’t speak highly enough, about The Powerhouse and its staff, especially Steve, Erin & Terese. From the beginning, communication with the team was easy, and responsive. Leading up to the day of, Erin & Steve accommodated all of my requests and changes to my vision, without batting an eye and were able to make suggestions to help me decide on what was needed, and what I could do without. As someone who can be very indecisive, this was such a huge help. The Powerhouse as a venue is stunning, spacious, and overall, had everything we were looking for. Our guests loved the outdoor patio, our wedding party loved the suite upstairs, and everyone raved about their experience. The staff was incredibly attentive, kind and always there when anything was needed and they were more than happy to accommodate pretty much anything that was asked for. As far as the food - it was amazing! All of our guests had nothing but amazing things to say about their entrees, including how smooth dinner service was. As far as Steve and Terese, I honestly have no words that can describe how happy we are that they were there for our day. Steve was amazing, from hand cleaning my dress, to hand sewing the buttons that fell off one of my girls dresses - he literally was ready for anything to go wrong and handled it quickly and professionally. I can confidently say if it weren’t for them our day would have never been as special as it was. They are true professionals and they take pride in what they do so that you can sit back and enjoy every single moment of your day. We truly are forever grateful to the team at the Powerhouse, they made our dream wedding a reality and we are beyond thankful!

We got married at the Powerhouse in October 2025 and we can’t speak highly enough about the entire experience. The whole Powerhouse team was so easy to work with. They were there any time we had a question or a change in plans, and were so easily accommodating. They all truly want to make the day about you, and their accommodations on the day of the wedding were far and above expectation. They were so attentive to detail and extremely quick to make our day as easy and as fun as possible. We had over 100 people from out of town at our wedding and every single person had nothing but great things to say. Thank you to the entire Powerhouse team for making our day so special!

We couldn't have asked for a better place to celebrate our wedding than at The Powerhouse! The venue itself is spacious and absolutely beautiful. From start to finish, The Powerhouse team was so responsive and easy to work with, making the entire day completely stress-free for us. Allison, Erin, and Steve were such an incredible team to work with that truly went above in beyond in making our vision come true. From helping with a custom cocktail signs featuring our dogs to cleaning espresso martini off of my dress, they were truly so attentive and prepared!!
The food was absolutely amazing and our guests are still talking about our customizable delicious cocktails that were such a fun and memorable touch! Our guests also loved the outdoor patio which allowed us to have a cigar bar and an outdoor space for everyone to enjoy.
If you are looking for a gorgeous venue with exceptional service and a team who goes above and beyond, The Powerhouse is truly unbeatable!

Simply the best - the Powerhouse sets the standard above the rest!!
We cannot say enough great things about the Powerhouse team. We knew from the moment we walked into the Powerhouse that was where we wanted to get married. The entire team was so helpful and responsive leading up to the wedding. The day of the wedding we had no worries, as Steven and Emily were so professional and buttoned up. They took care of EVERYTHING before we even needed to think twice. For example, one of our groomsmen’s buttons had fallen off and Steven got a sewing kit and fixed it immediately. Steven and Emily go above and beyond and we cannot recommend them enough. We had the best day and couldn’t have done it without the Powerhouse team! Thank you for being a part of our day and making it so easy and stress free! -

We couldn’t have dreamed of a more perfect wedding experience!
From the very first planning meeting to the final dance, Steve and his team at the Powerhouse delivered everything we could have possibly hoped for and then went above and beyond that! Our vow renewal was expertly overseen, every staff member was a delight to work with and every need/want was met, right down to procuring a vintage claw machine filled with stuffies for our youngest (and oldest) guests to enjoy! All of our attendees were impressed by the beautiful and historical architecture, the delicious food and drinks and the exceptional attention to detail. If you’re looking for the perfect event venue in Buffalo, this is it! -

The reviews are true! The Powerhouse really IS the best wedding venue in Buffalo! If you’re thinking about it- DO IT! This was the first wedding reception venue that we toured, and it’s safe to say none of the others could compare to the beauty, value, and service that was offered at The Powerhouse. We started the planning process over 2 years ago and Steven, Erin, Allison and the rest of the team were incredibly helpful, insightful and kind throughout it all. They were very responsive, honest, and went out of their way to make the planning process not only simple but enjoyable. It was amazing seeing everything come together- we had a very specific “garden party” vision for our wedding and they executed it perfectly! We are still getting compliments from our guests on how cool the space is and how amazing the food and service were. They paid very close attention to any food allergies or dietary restrictions that our guests had which was very much appreciated by all. The on-site coordination helped the timeline of our day flow so smoothly, and we felt that we never had to worry because we knew we were in great hands! We plan on finding as many excuses as we can to attend lots of events at the Powerhouse in the future! ☺️ -

Wedding of our dreams
From the moment we stepped into The Powerhouse, we knew we had found something special. What we didn’t realize was just how perfect and seamless our experience would be. Planning a wedding as two brides, we were looking not just for beauty and professionalism, but for a space where we felt fully accepted, celebrated, and supported — and that’s exactly what we found here.
Steven, Emily, and Allison were extraordinary. Their attention to detail, warmth, and dedication lifted an incredible amount of stress from our shoulders. From the first walkthrough to the final send-off, they were present, prepared, and always one step ahead. They didn’t just manage the day — they cared about it, and it showed in every small kindness and every smooth transition. We genuinely felt like we were in the best hands, and because of them, we were able to fully enjoy every moment of our day.
We truly cannot recommend The Powerhouse enough. If you’re looking for a venue that’s beautiful, well-run, and deeply welcoming — a place where your story is honored and your love is celebrated — this is the one.

Wedding of our dreams!
ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! From the first meeting with Steven, my husband and I knew it was the perfect venue. There was not a single detail missed, everything was gone through very through from the decor, vendor coordination, pictures of all food options, walk through of the venue to help choose add-ons, to making sure they knew our drink order for the night, which they were fabulous on making sure our hand was never empty! Rehearsal was so well coordinated, Steven and Erin made sure to have all things accounted for and knew exactly how to guide everyone perfectly for the ceremony. Day of was a breeze, the classic "omg it's wedding day, ok just try to relax and enjoy every moment" We were able to do just that! There was not even a second of worry, we walked in Steven immediately made the day start perfect making sure drinks and food and the bridal suite was everything we wanted! The logistics are amazing, everyone knows what they are doing! Food was fabulous, still a month later I have guests commenting on how perfect the day was and how much they enjoyed the food.. and specialty drinks! Everyone was so accommodating I couldn't speak more highly of the entire team the day of! Have already recommended The Powerhouse to a few people I know and ensure them it is THE BEST!! Also, our photographer Jennifer from Feffers Photography KILLED IT and the florals from Michael at Pittsford Florist were BREATHTAKING! Silver Arrow Band was also a hit, everyone loved lived music in this venue! We can't thank everyone enough! -

I would like to commend The Powerhouse management and staff for the wonderful job they did at my daughter's wedding reception recently. The staff was extremely professional and helpful in all aspects and went above and beyond in some cases. The venue itself is gorgeous and spacious. The food they served was outstanding! Everything from the hors d' oeuvres to the main course, and later hours station was delicious and plentiful. The bar staff was excellent and they offered 3 specialty drinks that were phenomenal. The venue was very clean and the entire staff were courteous, friendly and helpful. I highly recommend The Powerhouse for any event. Our daughter's wedding reception was as close to perfect as it could possibly be! -

We were lucky enough to have our wedding reception in August 2024 at The Powerhouse. From the first meeting and beyond, Steve and Erin (and the entire team) were responsive, professional, and made sure all of our wants and needs for our special day were met. They recreated and executed our vision perfectly. For example, we wanted a large floral chandelier hanging from the ceiling above the dance floor, something that had not yet been done at The Powerhouse. They didn't hesitate to work with us, including communications with our florist regarding size and weight, to install the chandelier. We would recommend this team and reception location one hundred times over! -

The Powerhouse is DIFFERENT. In the best way that I can explain. From the very start, we knew this place was something special. It has beautiful windows, a stunning bridal suite and a great balcony for a picture perfect first look. If you’re looking to have your ceremony and reception in one place, this is it!!
Steve was there from the beginning to show us why it was the best place for us to spend our perfect day. He was attentive, responsive and professional. The rest of his team including Erin, were kind and professional as well and I felt at ease the entire day.
So much work goes into the details of the day and the team was there to execute our ideas flawlessly. If I could go back, I wouldn’t change a thing.
With extreme gratitude and relief, I would recommend The (beautiful) Powerhouse to anyone!

Where do we even begin… from the first second of walking into this venue we knew that it was going to be THE one! Steve was so friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable about wedding planning and we felt so lost!! Steve assisted with every detail of planning & helped to make sure we checked everything off the list. Our wedding day was the most beautiful day of our life and we owe it to Steve and his team at The Powerhouse! Every single detail was PERFECT from the chargers & place settings, to the entry table to the twinkle lights on the dance floor, everything so perfectly positioned. The memory “heaven” shelf they arranged was beautiful, and last minute changes were all taken care of so patiently. Steve was literally sewing JuneAnn’s dress in the middle of dinner after the bustle broke to make sure she wouldn’t trip on it during the parent dances. He truly LOVES his job & puts his whole heart into each detail of every event. Steve & team you guys are incredible & we love you, thank you for making our day so beautiful!!

From the moment we arrived at our first tour to the final exit, they exuded professionalism, attention to detail, and consistently went above and beyond to ensure our day was perfect. They will bring any vision you have in mind to life with the endless options available. When we arrived at the venue on our wedding day, Steve and Terese made sure that we and our wedding party were well taken care of with food and beverages. Since we arrived just as the sun was setting, we had to rush to the rooftop for our photos. Steve made it easy for us to unload our belongings from the bus and get everything into the bridal suite, ensuring that it was ready for us as soon as we finished. The initial walkthrough before guests arrived exceeded our expectations and provided everything we could have wished for and more. The atmosphere was so perfectly crafted that not a single detail was out of place. It was the ideal moment for us to fully immerse ourselves in the surroundings before the night began. Everything was beautiful! To anyone searching for a wedding venue, we highly recommend The Powerhouse and their exceptional staff! Steve, Erin, and the rest of the team at The Powerhouse were phenomenal. Steve took time to really understand our vision and sourced décor and furniture that matched it perfectly. He was super receptive to our ideas and all of the edits/changes we made along the way to make sure it was the wedding of our dreams. The day of the event, Steve and The Powerhouse team could not have been any better. Everything was taken care of, including us. Whenever we needed something, we were given it. I mentioned I didn’t get an appetizer, and there was then a plate of them at my seat when I finally sat down. Their attention to detail and ensuring that the bride and groom can enjoy the day are unmatched. The food was second to none, with several guests telling us it was the best food they’ve ever had at a wedding. With that, they were also great about allergies. I can’t have gluten, dairy, soy, or garlic and the kitchen made me food from our menu but tailored to my needs. Other guests with allergies were well taken care of - it’s maybe the most comfortable I’ve felt eating outside of my own home. The team there provides incredible service and the space itself is absolutely stunning. Steve’s team is efficient and effective, and the space reflects the high quality of the service. We could not recommend The Powerhouse enough. -

If you are newly engaged and looking for a wedding venue, book a tour with The Powerhouse and I promise you…you will not be disappointed! From day one, the communication and professionalism Steven and his team provided was top notch. There is not a single thing I would have changed about our wedding day and I truly believe it’s because we choose The Powerhouse. Steven and Erin were always there ready to answer any question (and all my late night emails lol). I am guilty for being extremely Type A, so when I first got engaged, planning a wedding seemed very daunting to me, Steven and Erin quickly took away all those feelings the first day we met and made the process so simple and easy. When I say I was never stressed out during this process, I am not lying! It’s because I knew I was in the best hands, they understand our vision and they executed it even better than we could have ever imagined!! -

A wedding of our dreams
From the moment Kelly & I stepped into The Powerhouse on our initial walk through, Steve & his team were the absolute best. They were so accommodating and pleasant. It was easy to see ourselves getting married at this wonderful Buffalo venue. Simply put, they were prepared to meet and exceed all of our wedding day requests.
The team at The Powerhouse made sure that every detail Kelly & I wanted to incorporate was met with perfection. From the awesome natural lighting during our ceremony, the beautiful city backdrop on the patio for photo’s and the excellent acoustics for dancing, The Powerhouse had it all!
As Kelly and I walked around during cocktail hour, every single one of our guests remarked at the beauty of the venue and really just stood in amazement. The passed hors-d’ouveres were an absolute hit and all 4 meals served were met with a 5 star review by our guests!
The Powerhouse also offers an outdoor patio for your reception guests to enjoy. Speaking of enjoyment, the service was out of this world wonderful. Every single bartender, waiter, captain, coordinator, and anyone else working our wedding day met you with a smile. It was 5 star service for the entirety of the day.
If you’re looking to get married in Buffalo and you haven’t gone and checked out The Powerhouse, do yourself a favor and schedule a visit. A sincere thank you to Steve, Erin, Terese and his entire Powerhouse staff/team. Kelly & I had the best day of our lives and did so because of you! Well done, Powerhouse! -

When I tell you, we had it SO easy!!
Booking the venue: pulling up to the venue we were unsure, seemed a little out of the way and not around much. Going in and meeting Steve and him giving us the history of the place, playing us the sound system and always giving champagne, we were SOLD. You go in with a list of questions and he has answered them all before you'd have to ask and more.
Planning meeting: Again, going in with questions but having them ALL be answered. Having someone to think of everything and plan everything makes your life so much easier and that is what Steve did for us. When asked about this process by family and friends we couldn't say enough on how smooth it went.
DAY OF: Steve, Kate and Team, you guys made our day perfect. Looking back on the day there is not one thing I would change. One thing I recommend for anyone about to get married is first book the Powerhouse but second have a planning and event coordinator. I know this is their job but they do it all effortlessly (at least it looks like that). Making a timeline and sticking to it, having tissues present, mints present, making sure as a bride to eat and to brush my teeth was needed! I didn't have to think about a thing!!
The food - amazing. We also had family cancel last minute and we still took food home so we got to enjoy it the next day which was amazing! My family can be quite picky and never stray from their norms and my grandfather who usually orders a well done steak, had the medium rare filet and stated it was the best meal he has had! That's a huge win! Ha ha.
I can not believe this day is over. It went so fast and it seems to be a blur but it was perfect. I am crying writing this because the professionalism, the guidance, and the honesty throughout a process that is expensive and tough and not always glamorous was made SO special for the both of us and we could not have asked for a better team.
So if you are on the fence about booking a venue - tour the powerhouse and BOOK IT.

We got married at the Powerhouse in August of 2024 and it was like a dream come true! Steven, Erin, Terese, and their team were incredible to work with. They made the whole wedding planning process easier and fun. We asked so many questions and they were very responsive and helpful. I think the best part of our wedding was the food. Our guests still talk about their meals, the appetizers, and late night food! We decided to do chicken finger subs, mozzarella sticks, jalapeño poppers, and pizza logs for our late night station. People loved having this during the dancing! For the meals we did beef, the chicken burrata parm, and one of the salmon options, and everyone loved their meals. We loved how they have seasonal signature drinks and we were able to change the names to make them more personalized. So many options are included for decor, and some are offered for an additional charge. It was so nice having them plan it all so we didn’t have to worry about it. We were able to leave everything there and pick it up the following Tuesday, which was great! We also loved that our wedding cake from Frost was included! The cake was delicious. The Powerhouse is absolutely beautiful with the expansive windows and rooftop overlooking the city. We cannot recommend The Powerhouse enough! Thank you for everything! -

Wedding 8/17/24
Amazing venue for a wedding. We had about 200 guests and the space is more than enough. We had a live band and there was plenty of room for dancing. We had access to the whole outdoor patio which was nice for guests who didn’t want to dance or be inside, especially in the summer. We were able to use the rooftop for a sunset photo. Food was delicious and service was excellent. The crab cakes are everyone’s favorite. The staff made sure we had a drink when needed. We did do the donut wall and the staff made sure we each had one before the guests did. As the bride there wasn’t enough time for me to even eat or drink but the staff was always available to ask if we needed anything. At one point it did get very hot towards the end of the night and they were willing to turn the temperature down. I did forget my veil and other belongings but they had everything packed up for me to get Monday. Erin and Steven are great too and always available via email for any questions about the process leading up to the wedding. Very impressed overall and guests were too. -

We were able to host our wedding & reception at Powerhouse for 290 guests in April 2024 and it was absolutely incredible and more than we could have ever imagined! The Powerhouse team, led by Steven & Erin for planning & Steven and Kate on the day of, were amazing to work with. They were super communicative, answered our questions quickly, and were open to our ideas in terms of layout and set up, as well as adjusting to last minute changes. The venue itself is beautiful and really worked well for our big guest size! Our guests had an incredible time - the bartenders worked quickly, the dance floor was big enough for our big dancing crowd, and the entire night went super smoothly thanks to the awesome team that the Powerhouse has. We were so happy to host our wedding at Powerhouse would highly recommend Powerhouse if you are looking to host an event! -

Cannot say enough positive things!
My wife and I (as well as our guests) have ranted and raved about this venue since our wedding day on 11/10/23. We booked them a year before our special day, and from our very first conversation with Steven through the actual day was nothing short of amazing. Steven has become one of our favorite people by far, and we were lucky enough to meet and work with Therese the night of. My wife wore a suit on our day and had a few malfunctions - Steven so kindly and gently offered to step in and assist and did a wonderful job. Staff were always prepared with whatever we needed and will help you plan every last detail you could ever imagine. We always had a drink in our hand (thank you, Therese!) and some of our guests said that their meal was the best steak they've had in a very long time. Staff were always checking on us throughout the night and did everything they could to take the stress off of us. Thank you so much for such a fantastic experience - We will always highly recommend the Powerhouse and their staff. -

Amazing Venue, Even Better Team
Words cannot even begin to explain how amazing our wedding at The Powerhouse was. From day one, we knew we were in great hands with Steve and his team. Every detail, from linens to appetizers, to execution of the night - everything was perfection. We utilized both sides of the venue which allowed us to have a grand reveal into our reception room at sunset. Our guests are still raving about how incredibly delicious the food was, from passed hors d'oeuvres, to dinner and the dessert table. We cannot recommend this venue enough. -

Powerhouse excellence
The building is extremely beautiful with high ceilings, rustic bones, and modern finishes. The staff are organized and helpful at all times. The catering by Rich’s is delicious and artistically crafted to add to the appeal of the entire building. Planning the wedding is minimized by the staff as they handle most of the items most couples would typically need to and offers a sense of peace. The day of they truly make you feel like you are the guest of honor, they consistently cater to you the whole morning and evening. We would relive this night with this venue, coordinator, and staff all over again. -

Our whole experience with The Powerhouse was fantastic. Our wedding was beautiful and effortless with the assistance from Steven and Therese! From our first initial meeting all the way to the wedding day and needing assistance with a stain on my dress. The whole team was more than prepared and extremely kind and helpful. I have nothing but respect and trust in this amazing venue and staff! -

Our guests were blown away by the venue itself and loved the food and seasonal cocktail menu. Steven and his team made this whole process seamless and walked you through everything along the way. The service of the waiters and bartenders was great the night of! Beautiful venue with tall gorgeous windows and optional add ons or adjustments to fit your wants. Extensive menu with many options. I opted to get ready in the bridal suite which was perfect for pictures and getting ready the morning of! -

Steven is the best! Wouldn’t want to work with any one else but him. The rain came down In the middle of our wedding pictures, and the wedding party was soaked. We called Steven at the Powerhouse and he let us come early had big fans ironing boards whatever we needed to get refreshed and dry before our reception he had it. I would highly recommend him and his group at the Powerhouse. Thank you for making our day something we will never forget! -

Spectacular Venue with spectacular Food!
Our wedding reception at The Powerhouse by Rich’s was beyond words. We couldn’t be happier that we chose to have our reception here, it was absolutely perfect! Steven G and his team made the entire planning process easy and stress free. He provided us with many decor options and truly made our dream a reality. The Powerhouse was the perfect venue, with picturesque views of the city (especially at sunset) and stunning windows providing so much natural light, it completely wowed our guests! Not only did they love the venue, but they raved about all of the food! Everyone, ourselves included, loved every delicious bite especially the baked brie. Overall, Steven and his team made our wedding dreams come true and we can’t recommend Rich’s or the Powerhouse high enough! -

I can not recommend Steve and his team enough. From start to finish, not only were they professional, prompt, well thought out, and insightful, but also flexible and willing to work with us to make our vision a reality. Honestly, for the level of detail and assistance that they give, the price is a bargain. The level of options is unparalleled from any other vendor in the area, and Steve has an excellent eye for flow, aesthetic, and efficiency that as a bride I could not live without in a coordinator. Everything was seamless from start to finish, and the amenities provided made everything feel even that much more special. The team honestly doted on us all day for our wedding, handled every curveball seamlessly, and left us without a care so that we could focus on each other for the day. And that praise is not even considering the food and bar which were TOP NOTCH and easily the best food I’ve had at a wedding ever. The Powerhouse, and Steve and his team, get top marks in my book, and to be honest, my standards were high. 100% would recommend for any event. -

We hosted our reception at Powerhouse on June 1, 2024. We had 300 attendees. Steve and his staff were fantastic to work with and far exceeded our expectations. Every email or phone call was attended to promptly and with great detail. This made our lives so much easier with all the planning! The venue was absolutely beautiful and accommodated the size of our party perfectly! Everyone RAVED about the food, drinks & service. I would highly recommend this venue! -

Overall it was a great experience. The staff was receptive to our needs. The service was good although at times too good. The drinks were cleared off the tables before they were finished quite a few times. Would definitely recommend this venue to others. Would love to redo this day every weekend!!! -

Everyone talks about how stressful planning a wedding is... i cant relate one bit thanks to Steve at the Powerhouse. We planned our wedding in 2 weeks and everything was better than expected. We had a 2 hour meeting with Steve, where we went over all of the details and his team took it from there. They took care of the whole set up, the tables, the cake... literally all we had to do was show up. The venue is beautiful, with the high ceilings, large windows and open space. We had both our ceremony and reception there with 200 guests. We did not hire a wedding planner, because we didn't need one. The team at the Powerhouse was helpful, extremely organized and professional. We would have been lost without them. The food was better than any wedding I've had and I'm not just saying that because it was my wedding... even our guests were having over the food. The drinks were good and the presentation didn't disappoint. You can tell Steve and his team takes pride in their work, because not a single detail was missed. I could go on, but im going to end it with this. If youre looking for a stress-free wedding with a unique and beautiful venue... look no further. We have 0 regrets and there isn't a single thing we would change. Thank you Steve and everyone at the Powerhouse for taking our vision and making it more than anything we ever imagined. -

The Powerhouse was a fantastic venue that we fell in love with immediately and our guests loved. We only used it for our reception but I imagine having the ceremony there would have been great as well. Steve and his staff were great - attentive, professional and very responsive. The wedding suite was lovely; food and drinks were excellent per all the guests (the seabass was a hit). We would absolutely recommend this venue - lots of parking, easy to get to and the outdoor patio was a great addition. A hotel room was included that night and when there was a mix up with the booking, Steve very kindly helped us navigate that, he also worked with my parents to have a surprise set up for us (festival of lights are highly recommended).

I would highly recommend The Powerhouse to any couple looking to have a wedding. Steve and his team took a lot of the stress out of wedding planning that I hear other couples experience.
The entire team was professional, ready to help, and willing to accommodate all of our requests from the rehearsal, the day of the wedding to the day after. Steve and the entire team were always right there with a drink, fixing boutonnieres, asking if we needed anything while getting ready and Steve had tissues during the first look which no one even thought about bringing.
I can't speak more highly of Steve and the entire team that you will get the opportunity to work with if you choose The Powerhouse for your wedding! -

Steven and his team were nothing but kind and helpful throughout the entire process. He would give input if we had questions and he listened to what we said we envisioned for our big day. You could tell he wanted our wedding to be just as amazing as we did as he loves the venue and wants to show off the industrial chic beauty of The Powerhouse itself. Steven even went as far as helping me get my dress bustled up when no one in my bridal party could figure it out :). He was always one step ahead of us during the day and basically knew what we needed/wanted before we knew. I would highly recommend The Powerhouse and its staff to any couples looking to have a wedding with a venue just as big as the day is to you.
