Found my dream dress thanks to them!!!

I had a great experience at the Poinsett Bride. After probably 15 different shops, I had one dress in mind that I had previously tried on in a different city, so I made an appointment and Kelly picked out a few similar dresses for me to try on along with it. I hadn't even considered the style that she picked for me but I'm so glad because I ended up saying yes to one of their suggestions! It was absolutely gorgeous, it came in earlier than planned (took about 4 months), and they were honest about the cost of their in-house alterations and gave me a list of some other suggestions. Thank you for helping me find my dream dress!

The best dress experience!

I went to several bridal shops looking for the perfect gown and Poinsett Bride had a classic and inviting feel and experience throughout. Kelly helped me choose my gown and helped me through the entire alterations process! I had several appointments and when I was getting anxious about my gown they even fit me into their scheduled to come back and try the dress on again! It also was not expected to come in until the new year and it actually arrived early around Christmas which was so special. The alterations team is amazing and can really make dreams come true! I was so comfortable and confident in my dress on the big day and I'm so thankful we went with Poinsett Bride! They also have a fabulous accessories and I was able to get my beautiful veil and earrings from them as well. I would certainly recommend any bride make an appointment for the experience and their expertise!

Wonderful experience

I had a wonderful experience working with The Poinsett Bride from start to finish. I had a lot of alterations for my dress and it was perfect when it was all done. The staff makes you feel very special throughout the process. Also, very accommodating. Would highly recommend.

Wedding dress

The ladies at the Poinsett Bride made it easy to find the dress I envisioned for my day. There was no pressure and I didn't feel rushed to buy anything. This was the third store I shopped in before choosing a dress. I felt like they had good quality dresses and a good selection of different styles available. Perfect place

I found my dress here! The consultant was so patient, I was there for about 2 hours and she was going the whole time. After a few dresses she started to get what I liked and pulled things for me that I wouldn't have even considered. She was the BEST and my dress is absolutely gorgeous. Can't wait until my fitting! I remember walking by their shop when I was younger hoping one day I’d get to go experience shopping there. They exceeded every expectation!! Everyone there cares so much about your experience. They were hands down the best experience from my wedding. I always looked forward to my appointments there. Their stylist are so caring and help you every step of the way. Perfect in Every Way

My experience was even better than I could have hoped for. I was nervous after being disappointed with the dresses I tried on at another store, but the dresses at the Poinsett Bride were ALL spectacular. AMAZING experience!!

I thought I knew exactly what I wanted, but after going to 4 bridal shops I was starting to become unsure. I finally set an appointment at The Poinsett Bride and found my dream dress! Olivia was amazing to work with! After a few "no's" on styles I thought that I wanted, she "reset" me in a gorgeous ballgown and all my worries went away! From the dress and veil, to the belt, tiara, and jewelry they made me feel like a princess! I felt like Olivia was a good friend who knew me and knew what I would look good in. She found me my dream dress that I never knew I would want/look good in!! The whole team at The Poinsett Bride were wonderful from the first dress I tried on, to saying yes to the dress, to alterations and finally getting to pick up my gown to wear on my wedding day! I would recommend this shop to anyone that wants an amazing experience saying yes to the dress!!!

Simply the Best

Best bridal salon! Cannot say enough about Olivia! Told her my budget, and she helped pick several options. Some that I had told her I was interested in trying, and others that she liked. I actually bought the 1st dress I tried on, and it was one that Olivia picked out! She styled a belt with it (which I would have never done!) and the belt made the dress. Alterations were a breeze and the ladies made sure the dress fit me to a T. Olivia helped me style the dress with the perfect pair of earrings and a bracelet. I feel like Olivia is a lifelong friend! I would highly highly recommend getting your dream dress from The Poinsett Bride.

Went above and beyond for me

The poinsett bride practically bent over backwards to help me find my dress and I cannot thank them enough!

I bought my dress at their annual sale. I almost left empty handed, but Viki overheard me saying what I was looking for and knew the exact dress that could be transformed into what I wanted!

Olivia worked with me through the entire process and was beyond amazing to work with! She helped me make decisions and help bring my idea to life.

Dorian did a fantastic job altering and customizing my dress! I cannot thank her enough for amazing work. I know she worked so hard transforming my dress into what I wanted.

And lastly, after I picked up my dress two days before my wedding and tried it on at home I was having second thoughts about how tight it felt. Vikki told me to come back in that evening with no hesitation so they could help me figure out what to do to be more comfortable in my dress and me not feel worried about it overnight so close to the wedding. Part of the issue is how we were holding and zipping the dress, so they helped my mom with that and Dorian let out a small portion of the dress. They had it ready the next afternoon and it was perfect.

Dress fairy godmothers

I cannot say enough amazing things about Olivia and the team at Poinsett Bride. My mom and I went in a little unsure of what we were doing and got the TOTAL royal treatment. Olivia helped me pick and try on 8 of the most popular styles out of there (since I had no idea what I wanted) She talked through styles, colors, pricing and designers and made me feel totally comfortable in a setting that is a totally different language. She took something that I considered stressful and emotionally difficult and turned it into an absolute magical experience. She listened to my feedback on what I did and didn't like, gave thoughts and advice on choosing and ultimately ended up styling my entire look (accessories and all) She cried with us, laughed with us and shared the special moments (I wore my mom's veil!) Go here. Have the experience out of a movie. You deserve it! It's your big day!

The Poinsett Bride made all my dress dreams come true. I actually bought my dress from a store out of town, and Poinsett Bride did my alterations anyway since I was in town! I lost about 20 pounds after I bought my dress so there was a lot of alterations to be done, and they did an INCREDIBLE job. My dress fit me perfectly and I couldn’t have been happier with how it looked! They did everything in plenty of time for my bridal portraits and the wedding. I highly recommend Poinsett Bride!

Every time at the store, no matter what type of appointment they always made you feel welcome, important, and that everything will be perfect. When picking out the dress, the attendant was very helpful and was thinking about other dresses that I would like to help me pick the one I absolutely loved.

I was living out of state, and purchased a gown at another salon, but I had the alterations done at The Poinsett Bride. The alterations team was awesome and easy to work with! They were even able to accommodate Saturday appointments for me, which was so helpful since I was living out of the state. They did an excellent job on the alterations for my dress! I came in with a budget as my only criteria and did t know if I was going to find a dress I liked. Instead, I found my dream dress! I looked at several dresses but what I intimately fell in love with was a dress off the rack! Don’t knock the rack ladies. I admit I searched “the dress” when I first found it at poinsett bride only to discover it was TWICE the price at another retailer in Charleston. I know people think buying your dress at a boutique downtown may mean a higher price tag or snoody service but at Poinsett Bride this was not the case. Thank you guys for providing me with my dream dress!

I happened to stop by The Poinsett Bride while I was in Greenville touring venues, and I am so thankful I did! Vikki happened to have an open appointment and she ultimately brought me both the dress and veil I ended up falling in love with and buying. I never would have chosen either myself but she is an absolute professional and knows her stuff - I knew it was the dress for me the moment I tried it on. Vikki and her team were incredibly helpful and flexible with scheduling my fittings as I live out of town and had a tough schedule to accommodate. I am also amazed by the talent of the tailors here - I had a lot of alterations and they made my dress fit as if it was custom-sewn for me. I had my alterations done at The Pointsett Bride and they were amazing! I felt so confident and beautiful on my wedding day thanks to their alterations. The hem was serious perfection and they were able to alter my dress perfectly even given the very delicate illusion on the top of the dress. I went back recently with my friend to have her alterations done, and Vikki remembered me and couldn't wait to see photos - I can tell she really cares about her brides! I would have purchased my dress there, the only reason I did not was because I wanted my grandma to be involved (she lives in NY) and she cannot travel. I highly recommend The Pointsett Bride!

Love the ladies at The Poinsett Bride!! I chose my bridesmaid dresses here and they were very helpful in ordering them quickly (we had to put a rush on them and the cost to do so was VERY reasonable!). They kept me informed on the status of the dresses and when they would arrive. Upon arrival, they inspected each dress and let me know they were ready to be picked up or that they could be mailed to anyone if necessary. Several of my girls had their alterations done here as well and they did a beautiful job. We loved the small shop feel and they have a wide and gorgeous selection of wedding party attire as well as bridal gowns. Highly recommend this shop!

I had the most amazing experience with the Poinsett Bride. If you are looking for a classy, calm, beautiful and almost private wedding dress shopping experience, this is it. There are only two dress "podiums" in the store so it's never much more than two people at a time trying on dresses. So nice and makes the whole experience feel so unique and special. The dresses are at a higher price point, but there is also a clearance rack that makes some of the dresses on it quite reasonable. I bought my dress from the clearance options and fell in love the moment I tried it on. They altered it down from a size 12 to about a size 4 and it fit like a glove and looked as though it had been made for me. The alterations ladies are unbelievable and very accommodating since I had to do all of my fittings (aside from the day I bought the dress) in the few weeks before the wedding because I live in Australia. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a beautiful and memorable experience in buying a wedding dress.

I purchased my dress from another vendor, but wanted to customize it with a sweetheart neckline and buttons down the back zipper. I also needed my dress altered for length, and it had a very complicated hemline. A friend recommended Paula, and she did an amazing job with all the alterations! The dress fit like a glove and the attention to detail was fabulous! She even altered my birdcage veil to fit perfectly! While the price was a bit upscale, it was worth every single penny! I couldn't be happier with my dress and how I looked in it on my wedding day! I looked and felt amazing (which is a lot for this self-described "Tomboy"), and I got so many compliments on my dress! I would highly recommend Paula for all your alteration needs!

Paula Makus is a magician. I purchased my dress several sizes too big, online, and with her skills she transformed the dress into a perfectly fitting and uber flattering dress. When I bought my dress, I felt it was fine; that it would do. On the day I wore it, I felt beautiful. I cannot thank her enough. She gave me a shape I didn't even think I had. I was worried I would have to adjust my strapless dress, but I never pulled it up a single time the entire day. They did as many fittings as I asked for, which totaled about 4-5. The dress had a lace overlay and a silk underskirt, and both were tailored perfectly. Paula is not inexpensive, but I am SO glad she worked on my dress, because it was completely worth it. She has experience, skill and talent. I would not go anywhere else if you have a precious dress that needs work.

Paula redesigned my mother's wedding gown for me to wear to the bridal luncheon. It was absolutely stunning. I also had purchased my debutante dress from this shop in 2014. When I was a student at Clemson I came to downtown Greenville for something and ended up walking past the Poinsett Bride. I remember thinking to myself, "I would love to shop for my wedding dress one day at a place like that." A few year later when I got engaged it was time to start shopping for dresses, but wasn't planning on shopping here because I thought they would be out of my price range (I was hoping to stick under $1000 but would consider up to $1500). My mom convinced me that we should go see what they had to offer and I'm so glad she did. It's true that they are generally a little more upscale than some other bridal shops but they still had plenty of options in my price range. We'd shopped at 4 other area stores and had 3 dresses in the running but as soon as I tried one on, I knew it was "the one." I was afraid to fall in love with it until I saw the price tag, convinced it was too beautiful and too detailed to fall in my price range. But lo and behold, it was only $816! As soon as I came out of the dressing room I could tell by the look on my mom's and sisters' faces that they loved it as much as I did. We all cried and bought the dress right then and there. They did a good job on my alterations as well. Very pleased with my experience!

The Poinsete Bride helped me find my dream dress. I only had to go dress shopping once and within an hour and a half and only trying on six dresses, I found the perfect gown. Everyone there is so wonderful! They make you feel so beautiful and special. They have amazing gowns they make a lot of their own headpieces and belts. They do all of their own alterations and my dress fit perfectly!
I highly recommend The Poinsete Bride. We live in Asheville and it was so worth the drive. I love my dress and everyone else did, too!

I went several places to try on wedding dresses, but none of them compared to Poinnsett Bride. They were very professional and made the experience wonderful. I had tried on several dresses and had one I really liked, then Lauren said she wanted me to try on one more dress she had in mind. It ended up being the perfect dress! She listened to everything I was saying about the other dresses and found the right one for me.

Paula and her team at Poinsett Bride are true professionals with incredible taste and style! I found my dream dress the first day and then returned with my mom and she found a beautiful Mother of the Bride Dress!

Poinsett Bride carries high-end gorgeous dresses. The team has great taste. Paula helped me select a sash to go with my dress and made suggestions about accessories, even though I didn't purchase them at her shop.

There are no words for how AMAZING my experience was at the Poinsett Bride - I drove from Charlotte, NC to look at the Poinsett Bride and never looked back- I am so glad that I came here. Before coming to Poinsett Bride, I had been to 4 other dress shops and tried on hmm 30 to 50 dresses in Charlotte . I came here to see a specific dress but ended up falling in love with another one. Paula was great! She really helped me find the right dress at my price point. She is working with me to make the dress exactly what I want. She talked the designer into making the dress in a darker shade since they only make in one color currently. She is tailoring the top to be just like the dress that I loved but was much more expensive.

My sister found her dress here two years ago and had the same great service. Her dress was a sample and Paula made it look like it was made for her!
I loved that Paula really tries to keep you in your price range while finding you the perfect dress. I did not encounter this at any of the other shops I went to. My dress is perfect and I am so glad I came to Poinsette.

As a MOB, I was very very pleased with the attention that Paula and her staff gave to my daughter. She tried on many many dresses and with each one we were allowed to ohh and ahh as long as we wanted. We ended up purchasing dress #8 that day. I would highly recommend it and I intend to get my MOB dress there as well. Note: Poinsett Bride has the most beautiful dresses anywhere. If you want a bargain go to David's, if you want exquisite, than Poinsett Bride is the place.

I bought my wedding dress from this local boutique and had an amazing experience. Paula was incredibly helpful throughout the fittings and leading up to the day-of the wedding. My gown was very difficult to lace up, so Paula was nice enough to let me, photographers and bridesmaids into her store the day-of my wedding to tie me into my dress. Paula has a knack for looking at you and just knowing what will suit your body type. We were surprised and delighted with the quality and quantity of gowns in her shop. Our same dress was $900 more in a larger city! We were very pleased with all of their services and highly recommend.

This is the best bridal shop in the upstate, hands down. I went in for the first time just to browse, and walked out in about an hour with a wedding dress, a rehearsal dress, and a bridal brunch dress! The whole process was fun and so easy. Paula was a pleasure to work with in picking out my dress! She made alterations with ease and worked to on short notice to make sure my dress was perfect. I was so confident in Paula altering my gown, that I didn't even try it on before my bridal portrait or the wedding! They are very reliable and do exactly what you want! My dress arrived way ahead of time so no worries on it not arriving. Paula ordered all bmaids dresses and altered them also. GREAT! This is the best place to go for your wedding attire and alterations. Paula is an amazing seamstress and the alterations on my wedding gown were perfect. We had several fittings and she was willing to meet as many times as necessary to make sure the fit was pefect. She also custom-made my veil and we found the pefect jewelry and accessories to match. This is THE shop to go to in Greenville if you are looking for quality, high-end gowns. The owner is always in the shop and personally involved with every customer! I told her what I was looking for, she went to the back, brought out ONE gown, and that was it. It was exactly what I wanted and was the perfect dress for me. We moved our wedding date up 6 months and she managed to get the designer to get it here early for me at no additional charge and then helped me through multiple fittings (I kept changing things - it was not because the alterations were not done properly) for a dress that looked like it was made for my body the day of the wedding! It was fabulous and I would never recommend anyone else. Paula is the go-to-girl in Greenville for wedding dress and alterations!

I highly recommend The Poinsett Bride to any Bride looking for the perfect dress and bridal experience. I would also recommend this store for bridesmaids and Mothers/Grandmothers dresses as well. The store has a wide selection of top designers and the owner, Paula, is extremely professional and talented. She has many, many years of experience in this business and travels to find the latest styles/designs and the best dresses and accessories. I found my dress on my first visit to the store and I just knew it was the one. Paula and the other employees were so helpful and honest and met every one of my expectations. Paula designed and constructed the "belt"/sash that was to be tied around the waist of my dress. It was AMAZING and exactly what I had envisioned. She paired it with the perfect pair of earrings to match as well. Paula did all of the alterations to my dress and to my bridesmaids dresses, which we also found in the store. My dress and the bridesmaids dresses were altered perfectly with no problems at all. The service that they provide is prompt and precise. Paula also worked with my mom to find her Mother of the Bride dress. She picked one out that she thought would be perfect for her and that is the one that my mom loved! The Poinsett Bride was a wonderful experience for my daughter and me. She found her dress on our first visit. It was the fourth dress she tried on. Paula showed my daughter a dress for the bridesmaids that would look good on any size and flatter each girl. Everyone looked great in the dress. I was also fortunate to find my dress for the Mother of the Bride. I selected the first dress she showed me. Paula has a very keen eye for picking out a dress that will flatter and look good on each of her clients. They took all the stress and worry out of each detail from selecting, to fittings, to the bridal portrait, to pressing the dresses, to picking the dresses up the day of the wedding. Absolutely amazing experience! Background: both my fiancé and I are from Oklahoma so both sets of mothers and sisters are flying in next month to dress shop with me. However, I don't want to spend the whole time dragging my family to store after store. So, I went dress shopping alone to narrow down my top contenders at each salon. Yep, I went dress shopping alone! My experience: Dress shopping alone seemed very daunting at first. As soon as I arrived, there was 1 other large bridal party having a fitting for the bride and bridal party. (They don't book more than 2 parties at a time.) I was very embarrassed at first. Like, "Hi! Yes, don't mind me. I'm that girl that goes dress shopping alone!" But as soon as Maggie (my sales attendant) had me under her wing it was immediately magical. She knew of my solo situation and never pressured me to purchase a dress. She pulled every dress I wanted to try, plus utilized her expertise to pull gowns on her own. I tried on about 14 dress of all types and she took loads of pictures for me. Maggie even customized each dress to my liking. If I hated the straps, she removed the straps. She pinned and tucked each gown like it was a canvas waiting for a artists touch to turn it into a masterpiece. I was out the door, super happy, within an hour. 1 hour! It was amazing. She could tell by the first look on my face whether I was happy/satisfied in the dress I was wearing. It's like she had known me for years, a complete personal experience. I fell in love with 2 dress contenders that she chose and scheduled another appointment for my family to tag along. She stayed true to my budget and never pulled dresses over my $3K price range. Hands down best personal experience ever.

Don't bother going anywhere else for your dress. Yes, it is pricer, but it is worth it. I found the PERFECT dress and Pam suggested the perfect complements to it. The alterations were easy and professional and the last alteration even happened just days before the wedding. People at the wedding kept asking me if my dress was an heirloom dress which was perfect. There is no stress with Poinsett Bride.

I loved working with the ladies at Poinsett Bride. Maggie helped me pick my dress, and she was WONDERFUL. After asking me a few questions and trying on two (of the 12 we pulled) dresses, she said "I have the one." She went into the back, and came out with The One! It was everything I had dreamed of, and she knew it after spending just 15 minutes with me. From that point on, they were the best to work with. They kept me up to date on the shipment and arrival status of my dress, were very easy to schedule fittings with, and did everything they could to ensure my dress was perfect for me - even making some changes after I wore it for my bridal portrait photos. You can't go wrong with a dress from these lovely ladies!

I grew up in Greenville, but now live in New York. I wanted to buy my wedding dress at a place close to my mother so that she could accompany me on all of my appointments. This bridal salon was incredibly accommodating and I had excellent experiences at all of my appointments.

My first visit was to try on dresses. The sales associate was incredibly thorough with explanation of their selection, pricing and the way their store was organized. I felt a little apprehensive before my appointment because I knew there was no way I was going to fit into the "sample sizes." She did a really great job of making sure that I could envision what the dress would look like when it actually fit in the back (she made sure that the opening in the back due to the fact that I didn't fit was always covered so I wasn't exposed).They have their dresses arranged by price range, so without even going into detail with her, we were able to zero in on the right "section" for us based on our budget. I wanted a dress with sleeves on top, and at first got a little discouraged because I didn't see a lot of them...but the sales associate told me that I should look at the style of the dress and keep in mind that sleeves could be added after. I had never even thought of doing that! With her guidance, I found THE PERFECT dress!

My other fittings were very well-run. I never felt rushed or like I wasn't a priority in this shop. I was just married 12/30/16 and received nothing but glowing compliments on my dress and how it fit! One of my cousins even said to me "it's obvious this dress was made just for you!" which it was! The alterations department at The Poinsett Bride is amazing. I couldn't be happier!

I purchased my dress in my hometown but wanted to get it altered here in town. The Poinsett Bride was so kind and accommodating! They made the process of having my dress altered so easy. They are truly the best! My dress was a completely sheer beaded back and bodice so I was nervous about having it altered. The dress fit like it was made for me and you could not see a single stitch that had been changed or touched. They are truly artists in what they do. I guess I should give them 5 stars because they ARE a boutique- but they expensive and they jack up the price of everything!

They were very helpful though and I had fun and my dress was gorgeous.

It's Watters Devenport. The wonderful seamstress at Poinsett added a gorgeous sash for me at empire waste instead of a normal belt when I brought in a picture an an idea and they worked with me. It ended up not quite the angle I envisioned but I took it anyway. Check out the photos.

They are very friendly and helpful. You should definitely go!

After trying on dozens of dresses from several stores in the Greenville area, I found my dress at Poinsett Bride for our wedding in September 2009. Poinsett is by far one of the classiest bridal salons in Greenville and you will not find yourself pushing through racks and racks of damaged mass produced sample dresses like at some bridal stores. But being the deal shopper that I am, the dress I purchased was a sample dress on sale for half off. It was in perfect condition and you can bet I proudly wore my designer gown! Poinsett also custom made a veil for me to match the french lace on my dress and handled all my alterations. During my multiple fittings, the staff was helpful and complimentary. And when I needed another inch taken in the week of the wedding, it was no problem at all. While Poinsett Bride is not for the budget conscious ($300+ veil, $400+ alterations, etc)... it's selection, atmosphere, customer service, and exclusivity cannot be surpassed.

Yes, Paula isn't one to negotiate, but she is awesome and knows what she's doing. I drove to Greenville multiple times from Charleston, and it was worth it. Prices aren't cheap, but you get what you pay for. If you want to negotiate prices and get a cheap dress go to David's Bridal, not an actual bridal boutique.

I loved my dress. I found it in a sample size at one of their sample sales so I got a great price for the dress. Also, the owner is a skilled seamstress and did all my altering. The altering is a bit pricey though. But I would not have taken it elsewhere to get altered, so I was happy to get it done in one place. Good accessory selection, but again that was a bit pricey. The store also carries fabulous bridesmaids or party dresses!

Such a precious shop with lovely Owners and Staff! Everyone was very welcoming and friendly. They were all knowledgeable about styles, fabrics, designs, etc. My dress was actually one i had not chosen for myself but one brought into the room. I liked how they allowed you to go in the room to search through dresses first and once you start trying on, will pull others that they think might fit or look like the style you're going for. I will say the only part i was unhappy with was we felt we weren't properly prepared for the price of alterations. When discussing alterations, no price or rate was mentioned so we were pretty surprised once we went to pick up the dress. Other than that, lovely store and lovely people. I love my dress and can't wait to show it off on my wedding day!

The women at Poinsett Bride are absolutely fantastic! They helped me choose a dress within my budget that works well with my figure as well as what I wanted regarding style. Although not the cheapest option, I would highly recommend them as the difference in price is made up in the quality of service on selection and fittings.

Paula and the staff at The Poinsett Bride ordered the dress of my dreams. When it arrived, Paula expertly fitted the gown on me, provided instructions on how to keep it from wrinkling, and made a beautiful veil.

If you want to support a small business that has beautiful dresses, then Poinsett Bride is the place to go. If you want to go to a place that provides personalized attention with a smile - and makes you feel like a princess, Poinsett Bride is NOT the place to go. Southern hospitality is not a forte here.

Also, this is not a great value location. Dresses and alterations are expensive - and the owner is not one to negotiate. But they do have a huge selection, and they do make sure you look like a million bucks in the dress you buy. Just don't expect service with a smile.

Parking here can be a bit of a pain - as they have very few parking spots outside the store. But if you can find a spot, you'll find a dress to love.

I was lucky to buy a sample dress. The fitting was great, but I encouraged my bridesmaids to not get their dresses fitted their due to prior experiences. I believe they spend more time on the bride's dress than the bridesmaids dresses.

I went to Poinsett Bride when needing a dress for son's wedding. I wanted expert advice and help in choosing a gown. I did not receive the advice I was expecting but chose a gown I thought would look nice. I went 4 months in advance and the dress was ready 2 weeks before wedding. After it arrived and alterations were complete, I looked horrid. absolutely horrid. I found something else on the internet, but was not happy with that dress either. I was very disappointed and would not recommend the store if expert help is what you need.

Well a drop dead beautiful store. Great gowns. However....this is my second marriage. ....I think theres a difference between genuine service and hustling. On my first visit I was dressed in my jeans and jacket and had car keys in my hand no purse. Found a great dress and they kept asking me whats my limit bc I had no idea what that meant actually. I told them I dont believe I do. They laughed at me..
I looked at a dress saw the price and they said they could work on the price. Well I guess I shouldnt have carried my louis vitton bag and put on my makeup because there was no negotiations this day. They kept asking what my fiance does for a living and alot of very poor things to ask a bride. I decided not to purchase and definitely advise those of us women who do have a budget to STAY OUT of this shop. Browse. Try on the dress and have another shop order it for you like I did. Plus I know several masterful seamstress business women in this town. I wonder if theyve ever married off a daughter or if the owners have kids at all Because they do not know how to talk to people. Brutal honesty and nastiness are very seperate issues indeed.got price raped here. Two thumbs down. Only good thing is selection and quick service. Put your game face on in here. All money and no class........NONE

After my friend’s great experience at Poinsett Bride, I was excited for my appointment on 11/30/13 at 2:30. The only reason for 2 stars for flexibility is that we got there at 1:45 and they took me right then. After telling the saleswoman my max of $1,500, she showed me the section of the dress room to look at. She pulled several dresses while my mom put some sample sale dresses (50%off!) directly into the dressing room. I got to a dress (Romona Keveza Legends L250, size 10) that after putting it on, I knew was a big contender. While taking it off, I noticed the price tag of $2,850. I thought it must be from the sale rack in order to be in my price range, and I immediately asked the saleswoman. She said that must be the case, but she would find out and make sure. After a few more dresses, I asked her if she'd found out and she said, "Yes, I did, and it is 50% off so it will be $1,425." I put it on again, added a belt and veil, and had my family in tears. The saleswoman continued to say what a great deal it was while the seamstress came to look at any alterations that needed to be done. I was seconds from buying it when the owner came and unzipped the dress right on the pedestal. She found the tag and said curtly, "This dress is not on sale, its $2,850" and walked away. No apology. No explanation. Nothing. I held back tears (and some choice words) and went to take off my dream dress. While in the dressing room, the saleswoman said, "I don't know where that dress came from, they were bringing all kinds of dresses in here, I really wasn't sure it was on sale." I said nothing but thought, when I asked her to confirm it was on sale, she lied straight to my face, and now she is blaming my family. There were many things that I and my family could, and maybe should, have said, but we were all in shock. My future MIL thinks they tried to bait and switch me on purpose. This could not have been handled any worse, and I will continue to tell all of my friends.

This shop cares WAY more about their bottom line than their customers. Even though it's been a few months since my wedding, it still bothers me how terrible my experience was. Initially the ladies were nice and I was excited to find a dress off the rack that I loved. I am not a typical bride and didn't want to spend a fortune for a dress, so was hoping it wouldn't cost more than a few hundred (at most!) for basic alterations. However, they never explained how much each alteration was going to cost, and for some reason I thought they'd let me know, or a least tell me when I had surpassed the couple hundred I first told them I expected to spend. I did have super basic straps added, but was surprised to discover the alterations cost the same price as my dress!! IN ADDITION to that, many (20+) of the beautiful white petals on the dress had fallen off while they'd had it, and they didn't bother to mention it or try to reattach at least a handful on the front so that it didn't look so bald and terrible. I was so distraught over the price the night before flying out for my wedding, that I didn't notice the petals missing until that evening. What an incredible disappointment.

The previous commenter hit it right on the head. You will not enjoy this experience and you will pay dearly for it on top of that. Please, look somewhere else. Most of the good reviews on these sites are written by the store owners themselves, so seriously consider the bad ones, because I had a terrible experience with Paula, the lady who I guess is in charge. Go somewhere else and enjoy the experience.
