This venue had the best customer service by far! With a great location, great food, and a rich history, you can't lose at the Plaza resort and spa! Kelly was absolutely wonderful to work with and they were very accommodating through two date changes due to the pandemic. All of my guests had a wonderful time and enjoyed everything! -

Kellie and all the staff at The Plaza were absolutely my angels in the weeks leading up to my wedding and especially the weekend of the event…. They helped me make decisions and assisted me with decorating for the ceremony and the reception. Staff members checked in with us off and on the entire time we were at the hotel to make sure we and our friends and family were having the best time. I would highly recommend The Plaza for any event! -

This venue is beautiful and fulfilled everything I wanted in a wedding. The history and classy, elegant features and terrace ceremony is what originally sold me on this venue. Kellie was amazing every step of the way, especially during these crazy pandemic times. The food was great and the customer service of the banquet staff and hotel staff was the best! The Plaza was everything I could have asked for for my wedding. -

If you do not choose the Plaza Resort and Spa in Daytona Beach as your wedding venue, you are crazy. They are simply the BEST!!! Kellie Cooper-Deans was phenomenal during every step of the planning process and on the day of our wedding.
Since we were planning an out-of-town wedding, we researched all of the potential venues a year ahead of time. After narrowing our search to 4 possible venues and meeting with the Staff at the various venues, there was no doubt in our minds that the Plaza Resort and Spa was going to be our wedding destination.
During our initial meeting with Kellie, she was incredibly prepared and unbelievably welcoming along with the rest of her team. All throughout the process, Kellie was there for us and patient with all of our questions and requests. She made the process of planning our wedding from out-of-town as easy as possible.
During the week of our wedding, Kellie jumped in time and time again to assist with last minute details such as tuxes, wedding cake, etc. We literally would have been lost without her help.
I would be remiss if I also did not mention that the Plaza Resort and Spa is a beautiful and elegant place to choose for your wedding. With historic architecture, stunning ocean view rooms, great and friendly customer service, you and your guests will love the Hotel.
Kellie, thanks again for making our wedding day special and thanks for all of your help.
If you want the BEST, plan your wedding at The Plaza Resort and Spa with Kellie. Kellie and the Hotel are an 11 on a scale of 1-10. We love you Kellie.

Daughters wedding
The whole experience was wonderful. Kellie Cooper Deans coordinated everything for us and went abound and beyond our expectations. The food was excellent (lots of choices to please any taste) and the staff was excellent...very attentive but unobtrusive. And of course the venue is lovely. We looked a a lot of venues in our area and this one was the best deal by far. Great value! One thing you must consider, the package includes the hall rental, food and open bar! My daughters honeymoon suite was also included in our package, and we got ocean front rooms at a great rate. And of course the wedding was lovely and everyone had a terrific time.. couldn’t be happier! -

I know a lot of people say their wedding day was the best day ever. And i get it. But this venue really helped us meet that title. As the bride i did most of the planning for this event and Kellie was available anytime i had a question, no matter how silly it seemed to me. As far as the venue itself, I’m still getting constant compliments on how wonderful it was. Most of my guests stayed at the resort and loved every minute. I felt like a princess in the columns and couldn’t be happier with the photos of the event. The staff was so kind to me and my guests. Truly it was a wonderful experience and is recommend this venue to everyone. The food was so tasty. We added a late night snack which everyone enjoyed, especially after the open bar with brand liquor. 10/10 money spent well!
Also the tide was up when we got married so we were unable to get photos on the beach without risk of ruining my dress, but i didn’t feel like i missed out at all on that patio! My dress and shoes were safe and i still got beautiful ocean shots! -

Kelly Dean Cooper and the staff at the plaza resort and spa made the Midkiff wedding reception a pleasurable.memory for all who attended. The staff was prompt and professional and always courteous and responsive to our needs. The food was excellently prepared and of the 100 people who attended over half said that they would visit the plaza again and use them for any future events. -

Perfect Wedding Venue
My husband and I chose this venue because we had seen other events held here and were impressed with its beauty. I could not have imagined a better venue! We were able to use the entire venue which was very convenient. We had our guests stay at the venue for a very reasonable price, we had our ceremony and reception held in separate areas, we were able to have a beautiful background on the beach for our photos. We even used their catering service for an excellent menu. We are pretty picky when it comes to food and decided we wanted to bring in ideas of our own for a special experience for our guests on wedding day. When we presented our ideas to the chef, he made it happen and made the food so fabulous! Kellie Cooper Deans was amazing! She kept in contact and kept us up to date on all changes for our venue. She provided us with names for DJs, cake decorators, coordinators, decorators, and more. She is even available when you’re overwhelmed and just need someone to vent to ha! The hotel staff was amazing and made sure each room was perfect and ready for our guests. I would definitely use this venue again for any event we plan to have! Very pleased Bride! -

Christine Sent on 12/30/2017Our wedding ended up beautiful, though we did have some problems with the open bar on the day of our wedding that required us to pull our contract out during the reception. The food was fantastic, and we were happy to have everything all together. Apart from some miscommunication, we were pleased. Though the spa was beautiful and I was happy with my own hair and makeup, my bridesmaids were not and my maid of honor's hair fell out after just an hour. -

Ashley Sent on 01/07/2015Lets see where do I begin. The only good thing I can actually say about our wedding reception was that the food was good. The rest, well here it goes.
If you meet Sara and she is to coordinate your wedding, RUN. She is not only unresponsive, but did not listen to us at all. The most stressful part of my wedding planning was trying to get in touch with her. She was great up until we gave her a deposit. I can't tell you how awful it is to not hear from your reception coordinator at all before your wedding. When she finally did respond after sending numerous e-mails, her excuses were the phones and e-mail were down. Really? Your phones and emails were down for months?
Lets jump to the day of the wedding. I requested that chair covers be put on all chairs. Well that did not happen. So we had ugly yellow chairs that went with our Blush and Pewter theme. That however is very minuscule to everything else that happened.
The banquet staff did a terrible job getting food and cake out. They asked us to cut cake when guests had not even received their dinner. 90% of our guests said they never even got wedding cake. As for the groomsmen cake, we never even saw those cakes. Every person we spoke to said they did not see nor receive groomsmen cakes.. Very frustrating when you dropped over $1000 on cakes!!!!!!!
My husband and I are still dealing with the plaza two months later over a bunch of miscellaneous things. It has been the biggest headache. Our florist even told us that with all her years of working with the plaza, the weekend of my wedding was beyond the most unorganized thing she had ever seen. Brides do yourself a favor and go elsewhere. It's not worth the stress and headache.
