I am absolutely blown away by the amazing job that the whole Sunnybrook Team did for our wedding. When it came to light that my original wedding venue just wouldn't work, I was a ball of nerves looking for a new venue just 6 months out. The thing that drew me to book with Sunnybrook, was Tammy's enthusiasm for me to have whatever I wanted. The answer to every question I asked was either yes, or let's think how we can make that work. Our guest list was bigger than they typically hold, we wanted to use the venue totally differently than the normal flow, and we were extremely detail oriented. Tammy, Randy, and Larami absolutely knocked it out of the park. I was so impressed from start to finish. Our guests kept mentioning how wonderful the staff, food, and venue was, and how they loved the venue and had either never been or hadn't seen it in years. We danced the night away and not one person made our guest feel anything less than welcome. I can not recommend Sunnybrook enough! If you're considering using Sunnybrook for your wedding, do yourself a favor and email Tammy for a contract right now! You have found your Happily Ever After! -

If I could give Sunnybrook 100 stars, I would. We worked with Sunnybrook for the venue, catering, planning, day-of coordination, rentals and florals. The venue is gorgeous and truly has it all -- a beautiful garden, a lovely bridal suite and grooms suite, a glamorous ballroom and a stunning outdoor space. The team at Sunnybrook went above and beyond, especially Larami and Emma. I essentially gave Larami my vision board and she brought everything to life -- greater than I ever would have imagined. The food was delicious, the florals were incredible, the ballroom looked stunning and the entire wedding day went smoothly. I could not have done it without the help of the Sunnybrook team. They also perfectly executed our espresso martini bar and our library of wedding favors. If I'm being honest, I wish we could get married again, just so we could throw another wedding at Sunnybrook! -

My daughter‘s wedding was February 22, 2025, the first wedding of the year at Sunnybrook Inn. It was over the top. It exceeded all of our expectations on my daughter’s special day…. It was more than she ever anticipated. The venue was absolutely beautiful. The flowers were stunning. The service was top notch, and the food was absolutely delicious. All of the staff was happy to be there and very accommodating. It exceeded our expectations on every level. . friends are still raving about the wedding. I could not have been happier…. I highly recommend Sunnybrook Inn for your wedding. -

We are so happy that we chose Sunnybrook for our October wedding! This place is truly one of a kind. This venue comes with an fabulous "day of wedding coordinator," but their work started way before our big day. Each month, we'd have a check-in meeting to make sure everything was moving along smoothly in the planning process and that they understood our vision. They have various options for the ceremony space, to include the patio, garden, or dining room (which is perfect for the type-A brides like me who need a rain plan!) This venue also offers floral services, catering, and decor rentals (custom napkins, tablecloths, chairs, candles, etc.). We were blown away with our florals and the food was absolutely delicious. The day ran so smoothly thanks to Tammy and her team and I'd recommend this space to anyone. -

Highly recommend!
Best decision we made to have our wedding at Sunnybrook! The venue is beautiful and romantic, and the Sunnybrook team went above and beyond to make sure our day was perfect and unforgettable. During the planning process, they listened to our vision, made recommendations, and created the most beautiful day - better than I could have imagined! Even with a hurricane hitting the day before, the team worked tirelessly to clean the property, ensuring everything looked pristine and we could still have our ceremony in the garden. Amazed and grateful for their effort and kindness! We couldn't have asked for a better venue or team for our wedding day. -

Sunnybrook
I have always wanted my wedding at sunnybrook since I was a little girl. Larami went out of her way to make sure everything was perfect and followed every detail that I wanted. The flowers were the most beautiful flowers and matched the wedding colors exactly! They are very flexible with everything from food, theme, and decorations. When they say they can create anything you want- they mean anything. Larami did a great job planning. She also met with me every time I wanted to go over the details- which was a lot. It was beautiful and all of the guests talked about how elegant, beautiful, and perfect everything was. Thank you so much for making our wedding everything I wanted it to be. -

The Perfect Venue!
Sunnybrook wedding venue could not have been more perfect! Larami as well as the entire event staff are so amazing to work with. TL;DR Had two weddings (thx Covid), Larami helped us not go insane, both weddings were beyond beautiful, ate herb parmesan crusted chicken and you should too.
Given the circumstances of 2020, we planned many different wedding versions with Sunnybrook. In the end, we wouldn’t have had it any other way. They were SO accommodating when we made a late decision to completely change plans to hold a small but safe wedding ceremony in 2020, then have a larger party/reception in 2021. After hearing so many horror stories from other brides postponing/canceling pandemic weddings, we knew we lucked out with Sunnybrook. We decided we wanted a more intimate venue for our small pandemic ceremony, and of course Sunnybrook already had connections at the new venue, making the change seamless. Larami and team produced a GORGEOUS wedding in such a short amount of time and within our budget. And the FOOD. Apparently, people complain about wedding food? No- not with Sunnybrook you don’t. It's all delicious, but you especially need the herb/parmesan crusted chicken in your life. Throughout the night, Larami made sure we were moving through the scheduled activities and that we had whatever we needed (snacks, wine refills, a blanket probably?). Though it was not what was originally planned, we (and our guests) look back in awe on this day and cannot believe how wonderful it turned out. It really was a dream. We are so grateful to Sunnybrook for these memories.
Over the next year we planned the Wedding Part II- since we were already married, we introduced some non-traditional bits, and Sunnybrook was more than accommodating to make it happen (not into unity candles? Go for a unity sandwich!). We live out-of-state, but Larami was very clear in email messages, and it was easy to communicate any changes or questions. She never made us feel like a bother even when asking so many questions. When we met all together with both sets of parents, Larami was exceptional at balancing everyone’s opinions and making everyone feel heard (it is difficult enough to please just the bride and groom!). Just like our first small ceremony, Wedding Part II was also more beautiful than we imagined- the staff at Sunnybrook are experts at taking your vision (and your special items you want included in your day) and putting it together to make it feel like a celebration. Just as the first small ceremony, the food was outstanding and Larami guided us through the day to ensure we stayed on schedule.
The Sunnybrook venue has multiple ceremony space options (hello, automatic rain backup plan!) and stunning photo opportunities inside and out. It has beautiful accommodations for the wedding party during the day- the bridal suite is elegant, spacious, has a kitchenette, has bluetooth speakers in the ceiling for a pre-wedding girls-only dance party, and has perfect lighting for hair and makeup (and those getting ready photos!). The men have their own carriage house with kitchenette to hang out as well (let’s be real, you know the bride is writing this, but I’m fairly certain they didn’t care about much else in their space except the amount of beer their kitchenette fridge could hold- I didn’t hear any complaints)
After having two weddings planned over two years with Sunnybrook, we likely learned more about their event planning process and customer service than the average client does. If there were grievances to be had, we likely would have come across them. With that said, help them help you- hold up your end of the deal, communicate, and stick to the plan so that you too can get a taste of that thrilling parmesan crusted chicken.

My husband and I got married at Sunnybrook back in October, and it was our DREAM WEDDING!!! When we first started searching for venues, we fell in love with the beauty of the indoor/outdoor space, the location, and the all inclusive options. The ballroom, patio, and garden are all gorgeous as is, but you can really make your color scheme pop in the white ballroom! Larami and Tammy were amazing to work with. Larami, the coordinator, helped us out so much through the planning process and we were able to meet with her several times before our wedding day to go over every detail. She brought our vision to life and kept everything running smoothly on our big day. She made sure everything was right in place and ready to go. The entire staff went above and beyond to take care of us and our guests throughout the day. The buffet, cake, and cupcakes were also fantastic! We are still in awe of how wonderful our day went and we are forever grateful that we chose to have our special day at this beautiful venue. It was everything we could have hoped for and more! Wedding of My Dreams!
My husband and I had our dream wedding here on April 17, 2021. Words cannot begin to describe how perfect everything was— rehearsal, dinner, the morning of, the ceremony, and of course the reception. Larami and Tammy were on top of even the tiniest of details. I highly recommend Sunnybrook for any event. The impeccably kept house and garden sell themselves, and could write a novel about the amazing food, but the personnel is the truest and best selling point of this venue. On what I assumed was supposed to be the most stressful morning of my life, I felt a sense of ease all day knowing that Larami was in charge and I didn’t need to worry about a thing.
I know I’ve said it before and I’ll never stop saying it: thank you, thank you, thank you Sunnybrook for the best day (weekend!) of my life. -

Larami made wedding planning the easiest process imaginable. We switched our original venue to this one only about three months before the wedding.
However, no one would have realized that in thanks to how perfect Larami was about organizing everything. She answered all of our questions, was incredibly easy to reach through email, paid attention to details I didn't even think about, and helped us plan a perfect and delicious menu.
Everything was beautiful! All of my vendors mentioned how gorgeous the venue was and how on top of everything Larami was. We cannot recommend this place highly enough! -

Amazing Wedding
Working with the Plantation Team was a breeze! Larami made everything seamless and stress free! We cannot say enough good things about her! From day one we felt like family with Larami and her team. She was always in communication with us every step of the way. She was able to personalize our day to sheer perfection. We would not have been able to have such a flawless wedding without Larami. Even when it started to thunderstorm during the reception and she was drenched moving the bar, we had no idea that there was an issue because she handled it so quickly and efficiently. We could not be happier with our decision to have our wedding at the Plantation on Sunnybrook. When we were looking at venues, we knew we wanted something with a beautiful outdoor ceremony space. The gardens at the Plantation were stunning and we could not stop looking at pictures after we visited! The indoor space was nearly just as beautiful, with its vintage furniture and sparkling chandeliers. We pretty much knew that this was the place for us, and speaking with our coordinator, Larami, really convinced us. Larami is such a sweet and cheerful person, and we could tell right away that our wedding was going to be nearly as important to her as it was to us. Larami gave us the freedom to plan our dream wedding and do all the DIY we wanted, while walking us through anything we didn't know how to handle. She helped us find a hotel for our room block, gave us advice on the menu, and answered every single question we threw at her. If ever there was something we wanted to change, she always heard our feedback and made it happen. On top of the coordinating, Larami and the Plantation on Sunnybrook crew arranged all of our gorgeous flowers. The only aspects that our guests talked about more than the flowers were the delicious food and drink, also provided by the Plantation on Sunnybrook. Our dinner and cake were absolutely amazing, and our guests were asking for the recipe for our signature cocktail. We wanted our wedding to be the best day of our lives, and Larami certainly made that a reality for us. We will forever recommend the Plantation on Sunnybrook to anyone looking for a wedding venue and we hope to be back often to eat at the restaurant. -

Tammy, Larami, Jessica and all of the staff were awesome to work with. They were very professional, friendly, and attentive with all our needs. Larami, our event coordinator went above & beyond to ensure our day was everything we wished and so much more!
The planning and efficiency for our day by the venue was so effortless & stress-free. The contracts were very detailed and explanatory, outlining all costs & making it easy to understand.
Their on-site catering is a huge bonus and the food delicious - so many of our guests raved over the food.
The newIy built & renovated bridal suite was more than accommodating, convenient, and I must say offered elegant, feminine touches. It offered a conducive and relaxing environment for all of my bridal party & our wedding dream team for the entire day before the wedding. The grooms suite had also been recently renovated and offered the same feels.
The flowers were gorgeous! Larami poured her heart & soul and worked countless hours to achieve the exact look we were looking for. I couldn’t have been any more thrilled with the outcome!
All areas totally exceeded any of our expectations. It turned out to be such a beautiful day - we couldn’t have dreamt for it to be any more perfect than the reality of it, and I can only contribute it to such a wonderful venue and atmosphere with great staff! We are forever thankful! -

My entire experience from star to finish was amazing. The wedding planning process was made extremely simple by having everything in one place: the cake, the food, the alcohol, the tables and table cloths etc. The only vendors I had outside of them was a florist, photographer and dj. I also had Jessica as a wedding planner and it was the best decision I made. We had planning meetings, she gave me updates and sent me a timeline of events and the day of she was there to make sure everything ran smooth, which it did. I had the most amazing day and experience there. -

The Plantation on Sunnybrook helped us plan the perfect wedding in only 3 months.
Laramy did a fantastic job organizing our wedding and even did the all the flower arrangements! We planned our wedding in 3 months and we could not have done it without the Plantation on Sunnybrook. The venue provided not just the space, but Laramy our wedding planner, all the food, the cake, and even the flowers. The day of went exactly to plan and it was the perfect representation of my vision. I would highly recommend the Plantation on Sunnybrook and Laramy in particular. PS: you won't get prettier flowers from anybody else. -

We used their catering (vs venue) and they were absolutely amazing! We were nervous since our caterer fell through and we live in Florida to book them without tasting their food. However, they were recommended to us and we were so glad! They listened to every concern and made me feel as ease about everything going smoothly. Not only was their food FANTASTIC, but the morning of my wedding when we all found out I messed up and forgot to supply them with styrofoam cups for the hot chocolate / coffee, they sent someone out (40 minutes away from the venue!) to go get some!! I was so impressed! I highly recommend them! -

Amy Sent on 09/20/2011Tammy and her team catered our rehearsal dinner and wedding reception. The served alcohol at both events. No complaints except I would have had a 2nd bartender behind the bar during our reception. Also, the carving station wasn't necessary (mediocre meat and a lot of waste). They create wedding cakes. We had a chocolate and strawberry groom's cake (I never tasted it but heard it was good). Excellent food presentation and our guests raved about taste/temperature/quality. Roanoke has limited options for catering and some are dangerous (steer clear). Do a quick search or ask around and you'll find out quickly who I mean. Plantation Creations was an excellent choice for our event. -
Candace Sent on 11/20/2017I thought overall the wedding was great. I felt like communication could have been better when my original wedding planner quit. Then when the new wedding planner forgot the grooms name and called him by the wrong name and proceeded to spell his last name C-O-C-K-S (really who would spell it out loud like that instead of just asking how it’s spelled) instead of C-O-X. The food was great but I wasn’t impressed with the wedding planning service.
