We cannot speak highly enough of the Pines at Genesee. Every member of their staff was exceptionally kind and focused on making our day special and they made sure that we didn’t have to worry about the details. The planning process was very easy, we were able to plan everything in one meeting. The day of, everything went smoothly. They interacted with all of our vendors so we didn’t need to worry about any of it. While we were taking pictures, they brought us a tray of appetizers so that we could still enjoy them, and dinner was ready to go when we returned. The food was all incredible and we heard many compliments from our guests! In addition to helping everything run smoothly, they were very willing to work with our alterations to the typical ceremony. We didn’t get a chance to eat much of our dinner so they packed it in a box and sent it home with us. One huge benefit was that we could decide how long the party should go once we started. We were given the chance to add an extra hour during the reception. Before the reception, we didn’t know if people would be wanting to stay so we were guessing we wouldn’t need the extra hour, but we decided that night to use it and it was the right decision.
Initially, the lack of provided alcohol seemed like a potential headache, but we were able to order wine and beer through Applecjacks (recommended by the pines). This made the alcohol super easy and all of it was our favorite wines and beers. This ended up being less expensive and better than the alcohol provided by other venues.
Overall, 100% of our interactions with the individuals at the pines were great, their prices are very affordable, they made the whole night go incredibly smoothly, and their food was amazing. We would highly recommend the Pines at Genesee to any couple looking for a wedding venue.The Pines by Wedgewood Weddings's reply:

I can't say enough wonderful things about the Pines at Genessee Wedgewood for my sister and brother-in-law’s wedding! From the moment we arrived, they made sure everything went seamlessly, attending to every detail with professionalism and warmth. The entire team, especially Morgan, the event captain, went out of their way to ensure the day was perfect and that all of our needs were met. They were kind, courteous, and genuinely caring.
What really stood out to me was their extraordinary customer service. As the night was winding down, I found myself in a panic about the weather conditions, and Morgan stepped in with such compassion, calming me down. To top it off, Morgan had her amazing server sister, Claire, follow me down the mountain to make sure I got home safely. It’s rare to see such dedication, and it truly speaks to how much they care for their guests.
If you want a place that goes above and beyond in every way, I cannot recommend Pines at Genessee Wedgewood enough. They truly make you feel like family, and it shows that they love what they do.

The Pines by Wedgewood Weddings hosted our wedding on 8/01/2024. Our day was a dream come true! We wanted a mountain venue, and The Pines was a perfect choice. Both outdoors and indoors are absolutely stunning. We loved having an outdoor ceremony in the forest and an indoor/outdoor reception with the patio during August. As for their team - I can't recommend them enough. The entire year of planning and the wedding day were flawless. They thought of details that never would have entered my mind and were absolutely on point with communication. I truly never had to stress over anything and was completely free to party and interact with our guests on our wedding day. Cristen was a fabulous day of coordinator. We were also working with a limited budget, and Cristen and the team were happy to lay out all of our options and help us make it work. Booking our wedding through The Pines at Wedgewood Weddings was worth every penny. I highly recommend this venue and team! When I proposed to my fiancée, I knew that planning the wedding would be a massive task. I have been involved in several weddings before, so I knew how involved it could be. Wedgewood Weddings at the Pines not only has an amazing venue in Colorado but has several other features that made wedding planning a breeze.
The first thing that we saw was the venue. The unique location, right in the mountains outside of Golden, checked off all the aesthetics that we wanted – surrounded by nature and pine trees, an experience of the Rockies (and of course a ride that isn’t too far away from civilization). The venue itself is great. We had an opportunity to visit it beforehand and it has a nice floorplan with large windows and a balcony that overlooks nature. We love the Colorado mountain atmosphere, and this place has all of it. The outdoor ceremony location is amazing, so we are bummed we didn’t get to have an outdoor wedding!
The second great thing about Wedgewood was the staff (Sara and Audrey helped us with our wedding). They were extremely responsive and flexible. They were transparent throughout the whole planning process, followed through with anything we asked, and answered all our questions. They made sure to periodically check in and keep track of the whole wedding process. Because they were so experienced, this took a ton of stress off me and my fiancée.
The third great thing about Wedgewood is the flexibility of customization as well as the features included. Looking into other venues, things are often not included in the venue (i.e. food catering, the cake, florals, invitations, drinks, DJ services, officiant, etc.) which means you will have to go find and organize them yourself. The fact that the pricing is competitive with other places, but you have so many of these things included, was more than worth it. They gave us a wedding binder which easily explains all the aspects of the wedding and keeps it organized. In terms of customization, we were able to add or remove specific things that we did or didn’t want. For example, accent lightings are a part of the elite package, but we only had the premium. They allowed us to include these in our wedding despite not having the deluxe package. We were also able to remove a few things as well that we didn’t want. Don’t even get me started with how easy it was coordinating florals, cakes, or the photographer either! I am very grateful that a lot of the nitty gritty was taken care of so we could focus on other aspects of the wedding without stress.
I’m writing this a few months before my wedding and the process up until now has been smooth and enjoyable. I cannot wait until we actually get married at Wedgewood at the Pines in a few months!

I booked this venue when it was still The Pines at Genesee and not owned by Wedgewood Weddings and Events. The transition between the two happened prior to my wedding and was a bit chaotic and confusing at times but everyone helped answer all my questions during the transition. We ended up with Audrey as our coordinator and she was amazing! She was on top of everything from the moment of assignment to day-of. She ran our timeline amazingly and helped so much when we found out that our main photographer didn’t show up and we had a backup coming in later. Her help and guidance on the day was really a stress reliever and everything ran so smoothly. The venue is beautiful, and I am so glad we chose to have my wedding here. The food was also absolutely amazing! We had breakfast and people are still raving about the waffles! -

Magical 10/10
My husband and I are still in shock of how magical this venue and the staff there are! Lauren was our day of coordinator and she handled every detail big and small with tireless energy and enthusiasm! We had a very packed agenda and she made everything seem so flawless and fluid and took so much stress off of us on our big day. The food was the best I’ve ever had at a wedding. We did the Mediterranean style dinner and I can’t recommend it enough!! It was filling but perfectly light enough to still be ready to dance the night away after. And the staff was so sweet and kind to us, like they didn’t see weddings everyday. They made us feel so special!
I wanted an enchanted forest theme and we knew from the moment we toured that it was the venue for us. It’s just far enough into the mountains that you get that authentic Colorado vibe without the hassle of driving to deep into the mountains.
10/10 will ALWAYS recommend this venue to anyone that will listen! -

We had to postpone our wedding not once, but twice. And each time The Pines went above and beyond to help us move the date, secure our vendors, make sure everything was on track as needed. They made the entire experience so special and we could not have asked for anything better. Ashley and Regan were amazing to work with! The ceremony site was beautiful and the reception room was excellent. The food was so good and we cannot say enough good things about the floor staff! Everything was magical and we are so very thankful to them. -

This was the best part of my wedding. They did an amazing job helping me coordinate everything and anything I needed. They made everything go perfectly and made me feel like a princess the whole time. They have every detail down to bringing your appetizers from cocktail hour to you while you’re taking your photos to making sure you have an umbrella if it sprinkles. Everyone needs to get married here. -

We had our wedding on 8/29/21 after having to reschedule 3 times after our original plans were changed due to Covid19. Working with the Pines was amazing! Everyone is so professional, and pay attention to all the little details. Our wedding was on a Sunday morning. We had brunch food and a mimosa bar! Our ceremony was at the terrace surrounded by beautiful pine trees.... a dream! -

We worked with Stephanie from day one and she is fabulous!! She is extremely organized and a wonderful communicator. She helped us plan and organize our wedding down to the minute. The Italian food that we had catered was very good and affordable. We also had gluten free options for some of our guests. She helped us choose the linens and table decor. The Pines, especially Stephanie, worked very well with my other vendors and helped to make our wedding run ultra smoothly. I'm so grateful we had the opportunity to work with her for our wedding. 100% recommend this caterer. -

We had our wedding there on 7.24.21 after having to postpone due to Covid the year before and let me tell you this venue was so accommodating and answered every question I had regardless of how small it was and always responded quickly! This venue is gorgeous! We rented the lower terrace and the lower level for the reception and we got nothing but compliments all evening about how beautiful the venue was! Also Lauren is THE BEST human and coordinator! So glad her first wedding back was ours! :) -

The Pines was the perfect place for our wedding. Outdoor feeling with all the amenities of a country club wedding. We did the package with The Gardner Effect for coordination, and Ken with Quality Mobile Sound. Everything was taken care of the day of and it felt stress free.
The venue is beautiful enough that it didn't need much decoration (which saved room in the budget), they let us bring in our own alcohol (which saved A LOT of the budget compared to other venues), and had the ceremony and reception a the same location which saved stress and travel of the day of.
The small touches, like making sure we had a plate of food ready for us when we were seated, made all the difference in our day. I would recommend them to anyone, their professionalism was impeccable, the venue breathtakingly beautiful and the food delicious.The Pines by Wedgewood Weddings's reply:

Thank goodness for the Pines at Genessee! I worked closely with Stephanie after reaching out 2 months before my wedding since our first venue had to cancel on us due to Covid restrictions. Stephanie and her staff went above and beyond confirming our menu and event needs within a few weeks. Not to mention, their chefs are simply magical - LOVED that we were able to take home all the delicious leftovers so we didn't have to worry about food for a whole week after. I can not say enough great things about The Pines. Reagan and Vivian were incredible to work with throughout the planning process and day of event. Vivian was responsive, helpful, and friendly. The day of service was exceptional and the entire team made sure the day super smooth. We absolutely loved that The Pines has their own catering. Not only was it yummy but it was also affordable. We had a brunch wedding with biscuits & gravy, huevos rancheros, and a Bloody Mary Bar. Everyone loved the food! The Pines also offers contracts with other vendors for an easy one stop shop. We order cake through Bittersweet bakery, which was one of the packaged vendors. Dina was great to work with and the cake was delicious.

I first saw an instagram post of the Pines at Genesee before I was even engaged and knew this was where my boyfriend (now husband) would be married. Once we were engaged and visited the venue, we both knew this is where we were to be married.
Not only is it a magical forest location that offers a ceremony site and reception, it is only 20 minutes away from the Denver Metro area. It is easy for guests to attend who are local, but also close to nearby hotels for out of town guests.
There are two ceremony sites. We chose the one on the right, with more of a forest feel. We were married at sunset, during the golden hour, and the magic of the aspens with the sun setting was exquisite and made the specialness of marrying each other even richer. Not only did my husband and I enjoy this special setting, but so did our guests.
The reception hall was perfect too. It it inside but has a balcony with spectacular views where all our guests took photos. The reception hall had plenty of space for gifts, a spot to sign the guest book, the reception room for dinner and dancing, a separate hall where guests pick up food (for buffet option), a bar, a bridal room, a grooms room which can be turned into a kids room and bathrooms. The venue also has a back up plan to have the ceremony inside in case of bad weather, which has a beautiful view.
Our day of coordinator, Vivian was spectacular. She was not a "wedding planner", but her services for the day of the wedding come with the use of the venue. She was available to speak with us as many times as we needed before the big day. It did cost extra for her to come to the rehearsal ceremony and guide us, but it was worth it. The day of the wedding ran so smoothly because of her and her expertise. She made sure that we were on schedule and organized, yet comfortable and relaxed. Her professionalism yet relaxed demeanor made a huge difference!

PERFECTION at its finest!
ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!! Stop the search now, because this is the place! We had Erika as our wedding coordinator, and the catering staff was off the charts accommodating. All of our guests kept commenting on how personable the staff was and how attentive the were to each and every need. The Pines wins all votes hands down! Stellar rustic atmosphere that will guarantee your big day will be exactly the way you want it- perfect. 5 stars on literally everything!!!! -

We absolutely loved working with The Pines at Genesee and Vivian (who was our coordinator) for our wedding day! We cannot say enough good things about how they handled things on the day of our wedding when the weather did not cooperate and we had to move our ceremony inside. Vivian handled everything with a calm demeanor and worked to make everything so beautiful! The Pines were incredibly professional with communicating with our other vendors and were helpful and patient in answering my thousands of questions and requests. I truly felt like we could just rely on The Pines to handle everything! We have gotten so many compliments and heard so many great things from our guests as well about The Pines and their incredible staff. I was hired to be the videographer at a wedding here and it's an amazing venue. It really made my job easy by providing such an amazing backdrop. Having the ceremony sites tucked back in the trees was really cool. Along with the venue being amazing, the staff were super helpful and flexible. Everything came together to make a great video for the couple:

I don't feel like I'm exaggerating when I say that this venue was perfect! They were very professional and knew exactly what they were doing. The food was terrific, the service was exceptional, all of the staff looked happy to be there and ready to help! I also appreciated the kind of "all-in-one" feel this venue gave. They took care of catering, bartending, and a lot of the set up/clean up. We were responsible for what we brought; it was that simple! I would highly recommend these guys for your venue. -

Beautiful and Special
We had our wedding at the Pines at Genesee and couldn't have asked for a better venue. It was a great price since we were very budget conscious. The venue was gorgeous and everyone that worked there made me feel extra special. My husband had a hangover on our wedding day (enter eye rolling) and Regan (our coordinator through the venue) made him hangover drinks all night to keep him going!
I didn't want my groom to see me the day of or at the venue and everyone did everything they could to make sure I stayed hidden until walking down the aisle. OH and the food was DELICIOUS!!
I am so appreciative of everyone that works at the Pines for making our day absolutely special. -

Danielle Sent on 01/24/2017I was in California when I started planning my wedding so Lindsay had to work with me over email till a month before when I was able to meet one of her employees during the food tasting. It didn't matter Lindsay didn't even flinch, she worked with me for months almost every day over email, planning every little detail. I ordered a package they had which included the cake (which tasted and looked incredible!), the DJ (who was fabulous!) and the photographer (who will now be my photographer when ever I need professional photos taken and who got tons of compliments!). The package made planning a lot easer and the wedding cheeper. (If anyone wants to know more about the pricing I am willing to talk about it I just don't want to broadcast it over the internet.)
I also had the catering done by the Pines. The food was incredible! The chef had to deal with more then one food allergy and did it with incredibly well!). We got tons of compliments on how well the chef and the kitchen staff handled all of the food allergies while still preparing a great tasting meal for everyone!
Lindsay I wanted to thank you and everyone at the Pines, you all did an amazing job helping me plan my wedding, setting it up, pre-paring the food, and having the wedding go off without a single problem! The ceremony space was beautiful, the reception space was perfect and our coordinator, Vivian, went above and beyond to make sure our day was very special. Sarah Sent on 08/11/2014The staff of The Pines at Genesee was amazing from day one. We put our deposit on the venue for one date, then our wedding got delayed one year. They moved it over to the next date without any problems.
Going in for our tastings was pretty simple, and they were very accommodating. I have a nut allergy, and they did make sure there were no nuts in what we chose. We went with the Walk Around Feast and it was amazing! Truly a hit with all of our guests!
All in all it was a truly amazing venue with great views and outstanding service! -

Jannell Sent on 09/03/2012We couldn't have asked a better venue for our wedding day. I was never a girl who dreamed of her wedding before finding this venue. Once we found the Pines at Genesee I knew I had a place that would be better than any dream. The venue is breathe taking and the service that they provide are amazing. The event coordinator, Lindsay Conroy was the most attentive person I've ever met... she answered very crazy question I had no matter the hour night or day. I told Lindsay this before but I'll say it again..... If we could take her essence and make a series of perfume the 3 fragrances would be Efficiency, Professionalism, and Awesomeness by the Pines. I would recommend this venue to anyone looking to have a perfect day because you need the right people to make a dream a reality.
The Pines at Genesee catered our wedding. The food was delicious. We're from New York so we know good food. All our New York guest loved the food as well, two days later everyone is still talking about the quesadilla station. We're looking for an excuse to throw a party to be catered by the Pines so we can have some more.
