I had gone to multiple dress shops and tried on a lot of different dresses to the point where I was getting worried I would have to ‘settle’ on a dress. The Persnickety Bride was my second to last dress shop and I was highly nervous as I came in that I wouldn’t find what I wanted. Denise and Cecelia had great energy and made me feel at ease almost immediately! After trying on a few dresses that I saw in their online catalog, I talked with Denise about what I was hoping to find and she had one dress in particular she thought I would love by Justin Alexander - and she was right! I went to my next appointment and kept thinking about the dress that Denise found, so back I went to purchase my gown. The quality of the gowns are top notch and they pay attention to the small details. I am so in love with my dress, even after the big day. Thank you Denise and the Persnickety Bride team for helping me find my dream dress!! -

My experience at the Persnickety Bride was nothing short of amazing! From the moment I walked in, Denise and her staff welcomed me with such genuine warmth and enthusiasm that I immediately felt comfortable and at ease.
Denise has an incredible ability to understand exactly how you’re feeling. She could tell what I loved (and didn’t love) just from my facial expressions. She carefully selected gowns that perfectly matched my style, and when I finally put on “the one,” we all instantly knew, Denise included.
I’ve been back to the Persnickety Bride countless times since then because Denise is also creating my wedding invitations, and they are absolutely beautiful. Every visit has been such a positive experience, and the entire staff consistently makes me feel welcomed, comfortable, and truly special.
I cannot recommend the Persnickety Bride enough. Thank you to Denise and her amazing team for helping me find my dream dress and for designing such stunning wedding invitations! -

Denise and the Persnickety Bride team were so wonderful from start to finish. I had been to a few shops before seeing them and was overwhelmed by the options, but Denise's eye, matter of fact attitude, and encyclopedic knowledge of every dress in the store made it easy to find and feel confident in the perfect dress. She seems to know all the designers she carries personally and was able to order some customizations to make my dress exactly what I wanted. I also looved the veil that I got from the store. Thank you for everything Denise! -

I am so happy I got my dress at the Persnickety Bride! Denise and her whole team are incredible. Her store is amazing and she only carries the best. Both my sister and I found our dream dresses here. Denise worked with the designer of my dress (Dany Tabet) to get me a custom dress so I could get exactly what I wanted. She even had a trunk show and I was able to meet Dany. Completely a dream come true. I was able to get the dress I envisioned and it was perfect for my wedding day. Can not recommend The Persnickety Bride enough! -

The Persnickety Bride has been a dream from start to finish. As a curvier bride, I was definitely intimidated to start wedding dress shopping because of the sizing industry, but Denise and her team completely changed that for me. They were so welcoming, so kind, and honestly made the whole experience fun instead of stressful.
When I went to try on dresses, I ended up finding my dream dress! Their selection is beautiful, thoughtfully curated, and not at all overwhelming. The boutique itself feels homey and personal, which made the experience even more special.
From the very beginning, everyone I worked with went above and beyond. Cecile helped me find my dress, and Emmy guided me when I picked it up and chose my veil—they were both absolutely wonderful. Patient, kind, and genuinely excited for me, they made the process so smooth and enjoyable.
I cannot recommend The Persnickety Bride enough to any bride—whether you’re in Fairfield, New Haven, Putnam County, or even farther away, this is worth the trip. You simply won’t find a better experience than this one! -

Denise and her team are top tier! I knew I wanted to go to persnickety since my cousins both went there. They had wonderful experiences and spoke very highly of them. When I arrived I spoke to Denise and her team telling them what I was looking for and they showed me a new Dany Tabet dress and I fell in love! They also picked a veil that looked like it was made for the dress! I highly recommend Denise and her team! -

Making my appointment was so easy and the try on appointment was so relaxed. Aeryn really listened to what I wanted and she made great suggestions.
The first dress she gave me to try on was absolutely perfect. I tried a bunch of other dresses on afterwards, but the first one was the winner!
Months later, my mom was having trouble finding her Mother of the Bride dress, so we went back to Persnickety and she found her dress that day!
The customer service is amazing, friendly interactions every single time. -

The most beautiful and unique selection of wedding dresses along with the most wonderful staff who make you feel like you’re their only bride!
After visiting a few bridal shops before my wedding, I came across Persnickety as I only lived a town over. I figured I would check it out. I was easily able to book an appointment and I was given a link over email that took me to their online dress selection where I could browse styles that I liked and I was asked to “heart” the ones I wanted to try on. When it was time for my appointment, all the dresses I liked were out and ready for me to try! Denise, who is the owner, made trying dresses on so much fun. She wasn’t pushy, she knew exactly what I was looking for based on my interests and she was so helpful in my dress search! Another part I loved about Persnickety is their selection of dresses that are unique to them in that there were some smaller designers whom I had never heard of or had ever seen in other boutiques that she carried. I ended up going with a not as well known designer, Dany Tabot, and I can confidently say I found my dream dress at Persnickety Bride! Here’s just a few photos of how beautiful this dress is, the 3D floral was my dream and Denise helped me make my dreams come true!
Also, contacting persnickety was a breeze as Denise texted me on my cell phone. She was constantly updating me about my dress and when it would come and my veil. She really made me feel like I was her only client and it always felt so personal! My mom and mother in law both ended up getting their gowns here as well! -

I had a great experience getting my wedding dress here. I had gone to many different places (including a very well known spot in NYC...) and thought that I might never find a dress that would suit me. I am petite and it was hard to imagine most of the dresses I tried on, as I was drowning in the fabric (I understand why it is important that the dresses are larger in size to accommodate all brides, but it still made it difficult as a petite 5'1" woman). I felt like I could actually tell what the dresses I tried on at The Persnickety Bride would look like. I had the help of both Celia and Denise during my initial appointment, and then worked with Denise for all the fittings. Overall, I had a great experience and am very happy with my dress! -

Denise and her team at The Persnickety Bride were absolutely amazing to work with! I had a particular style dress in mind that I was realizing was becoming hard to find in bridal shops. I found The Persnickety Bride when searching online and drove over 2 hours where I met Denise who welcomed me with open arms, she listened to me, gave me advice, we laughed, we made connections and right away I knew she really cared about me and finding my perfect gown. Denise made sure she knew what I was interested in before I even arrived so that I would have over a handful of dresses to try on. I truly felt like a bride in this warm environment and I’m so glad that I came across this shop. I would highly recommend this bridal shop to anyone! -

Denise makes you feel so comfortable when you're in her shop. She listens to what styles you like and offers suggestions both similar to what you want and also some different choices to consider. I was DREADING dress shopping, because I was feeling insecure about the process. That feeling instantly went away once Denise started passing me dresses and having me try on different options. The dress I said yes to was actually one that I didn't even originally pick out! -

I had an incredible time at my appointment at the Persnickety Bride and was thrilled with the experience! The level of personal attention, flexibility, and positive energy during my appointment was remarkable. Fabulous to work with!
I went to The Persnickety Bride for a mother of the bride dress. I had been to several shops and was not finding that special dress. The entire experience was great, from being able to go on the website to “favorite” dresses that I liked, to meeting Denise, to order and pick up. Denise was amazing. She took one look at me, listened to what I had in mind, and chose dresses that were perfect for me. She was so warm and friendly - made me feel like I had a new friend. My daughter’s wedding was this past weekend and I cannot begin to share all the compliments I got. Elegant. Regal. Stunning. Never seen a more spectacular dress, just to share a few. For a dress for a special occasion, I will never go anywhere else! -

Look no further than The Persnickety Bride ladies! Denise and her team are top notch... Denise is spunky, fun, and loving; I felt like family from the moment I walked in the door. Both of my dress experiences were seamless in the salon. Yes, I said BOTH. I bought a dress (which I loved and thought was beautiful) but second guessed it for a solid two weeks after purchasing. Eventually, I told myself this is a common bride feeling and it will pass. Fast forward two months and I am sitting at my friends wedding.... she walks down the aisle in the same beautiful dress I recently purchased. I knew this was my sign, the dress was not meant to be mine. I reached out to Denise (in a panic) and explained the situation.. I ended up in the salon three days later in another dress I loved. Which I now know today was meant for me. Denise made me feel confident, beautiful and reduced my stress level significantly. We ended up making tik tok's and laughing for two hours after I bought the second dress. Denise worked with the manufacturer for me so there was no crazy additional costs to restock the first dress (it hadn't shipped yet). The Persnickety Bride has such a magical selection of dresses, there is something for everyone. Not only will you most likely walk out of the store purchasing a gown, I promise you will leave with many laughs and memories for life. Denise & her daughter run the most wonderful salon that I would highly recommend visiting! They listened to my rambling preferences and pulled all dresses that fit the look i was going for perfectly. I came to this store recently with all of my ladies to find my wedding dress! I was met with quality service, a welcoming environment and an impressive selection. The mother-daughter, family dynamic made me feel comfortable immediately during the "wedding dress" process that, let's be realistic, can be a little stressful. Denise helped me to come to a decision for myself (while also considering the opinions and views of my mother and bridal party), but mostly for myself, the dress that was meant for me. When something about one dress wasn't quite what I was looking for they quickly found me something in alignment with my vision and budget. I felt so supported, and both of these ladies helped me feel comfortable and confident making a decision on a dress that reflects my personality and compliments me in all the right ways. I went to Persnickety by recommendation of someone else who got their wedding dress there and I was not disappointed! Denise has a wide variety of selection for dresses and has a knack for recommending what will work best based on what you want, your body and your price range. She also has such a wonderful energy to her. My mom and I were cracking up the entire time we were there, we were excited to go back for fittings! My mom even went for MOB dress shopping there too - we loved her selection of those so much too that she ended up buying 2 dresses haha! Denise at the Persnickety Bride is an absolute GEM! She is bubbly, she is vivacious, and she is passionate about finding you the best gown to fit your figure and personality. I tried on about 10 gowns and then found The Dress, and she was as excited as my Mom and I when we found it. The shop feels intimate and we were the only people in the shop for our appointment. Additionally, I wanted to try and find the same lace from my dress to make my veil and Denise and her assistant Emily followed up multiple times with the vendor to source these and get pricing for different options. I didn't end up going that route for my veil but I really appreciated their prompt responses and help following up. I'd highly recommend Denise and her beautiful store if you're looking for a personal and relaxed experience shopping for your gown. I also wanted to thank Denise for her approach and body positivity vibes! I was anxious about finding a dress that would feel like "me" and that I wouldn't feel self conscious in, and honey let me tell you, Denise is 1000% supportive and positive for you. Truly an amazing experience from start to finish. It is a small shop (in size, but not dress stock!!) so you get a really personal boutique experience. Their price ranges were very reasonable for my budget and, very importantly for me, the experience was fun, positive, encouraging and NO pressure or hard sales tactics. I knew going in I was going to sleep on the decision regardless and ended up going back another day to make the purchase. They are a dream to work with and helped me make a custom change to my dress that turned out beautifully. They made sure my request was super clearly documented for the designer.
Highly recommend putting this shop on your list when you’re looking for a dress! -

I found Denise at the Persnickety Bride after trying on over 90 dresses, being exhausted and defeated from dress shopping, and very clearly having no idea what I wanted. Denise and her staff chatted with myself and my MOH, pulled a few dresses, saw me in the first one and then had a burst of inspiration. Denise and her staff pulled a GORGEOUS Signature by Justin Alexander gown for me that I would have never picked for myself. It was the first time after over 90 dresses I felt like a bride (and was content in a white dress, I wanted a black one!).
After going back on Sunday with my mom to order the dress, in typical fashion, I changed my mind Monday morning! I called Denise in a tizzy and showed her a brand new Signature by Justin Alexander that was online and of course didn’t even have samples available yet. Denise called the designer, had the designers one and only sample shipped over just for me to try on two days later, and it was my perfect dress! I received so many compliments on my dress and truly, without Denise and her staff I don’t think I would have ever found it! If you want an amazing experience with a bridal boutique that will listen to you and help you find the perfect dress, go see Momma Denise at The Persnickety Bride!!! -

I cannot say enough about The Persnickety Bride and the owner Denise! Wonderful Wonderful Wonderful!! I am the mother of the groom and there was a last minute change in what I thought I would be wearing for my son's wedding. (and I mean last minute, 3 weeks to go!) I called Denise in a panic and she was fully booked that day, but she was kind enough to open the store early for me so that I could try things on! She has a gorgeous (not matronly looking) selection. She is patient, funny and honest! She will not tell you you look fabulous if you don't. She's not trying to make the sale. She wants her MOB, MOG and Brides to look and feel their best! I chose the Montage by Mon Cheri Jumpsuit and received so many compliments! I felt amazing and comfortable! On 8/7/21 I went to the Persnickety Bride to begin my wedding dress search. I traveled over 4 hours from northern New Hampshire to come to this store because of the phenomenal reviews on The Knot. This was one of the best wedding-related decisions I have made thus far! The five top reasons I loved this bridal salon: 1) Denise is enthusiastic, knowledgeable, a fantastic listener, and a skilled stylist. 2) She worked within my budget. 3) She had me try on several different dresses styles, which allowed me to experiment with different fabrics, cuts, and other details. 4) The experience was personalized, intimate, and comfortable. 5) The store itself was clean, well organized, and had plenty of inventory to select from! I did NOT plan on purchasing my dress on the first day of wedding dress shopping. I typically don't make quick decisions, and I like to think about big purchases. I had selected two other bridal salons in southern CT to visit that day, as well, under the assumption I would keep looking. That was just not necessary! Before meeting with Denise, she sent me a link where I could "favorite" several dresses in my price-point. This allowed me to show her what I was looking for, but also get an idea of what I could expect to find within my budget. She selected dresses from this list as well as others she thought I would like. I wasn't entirely sure what style I wanted, and so it was helpful to have a stylist that could envision what the dress looks like. Each dress she selected had qualities and characteristics I loved. As I tried on each dress, she talked with me to understand what I liked and what I disliked about them. She was able to narrow down my style and eliminate/add elements of the dresses I loved. At other salons I went to, I was inundated with trying too many dresses. One salon had put me in dresses that all greatly exceeded my budget. Wedding dresses are naturally beautiful, and so it can be difficult to decide between gorgeous dresses. At the Persnickety Bride, Denise gave me several well-thought-out options to start with. She had me try on a decent selection, but just the right amount so they didn't all blur together. I didn't feel rushed, or that I was trying to repetitive dresses. Each style was different enough that I could reflect on the overall look and consider it as a unique option. My one recommendation is this: Be open to trying on different styles. Before shopping, my only criteria was that I wanted a dress with sleeves or some semblance of sleeves. As I tried on dresses, Denise's daughter found a gorgeous strapless dress for me to try on. Looking at it on the hanger, it had every quality I loved about the dresses I tried on. There you go. That was the dress. I knew as soon as I stepped into it that it was coming home with me that day! Denise (and her daughter!) has a vision. Because she LISTENS to you and understands you, she's able to make phenomenal selections. In the end, that's what made it a great experience. Everyone wants to feel heard, and especially brides trying to find the perfect dress for their day. I just did not know much about wedding dresses. Denise listened to what I liked and didn't like. I felt like in the short time I spent with her, she began to understand my personality. As a result, I walked away with a gorgeous dress that I ADORE well within my budget. My one piece of advice for brides: START your wedding dress shopping experience here. You won't regret it! -

If you like a personalized experience with someone who genuinely cares about you and your big day, The Persnickety Bride is the place to visit. From the moment I met Denise over FaceTime, I knew she would help me find my dress. Mask mandates were still in place at the time, so Denise made the time to call me personally the day before my appointment so we could meet and see each other’s faces. This virtual meeting left me with a great first impression. She asked about me and my husband-to-be, as well as our love story. We connected immediately! Prior to our call, Denise sent me a look book so I could “like” dresses in advance - this helped her to know what I liked going into the appointment. When I arrived to the appointment, Denise was just as energetic and excited as she was over the phone. She was ready with the dresses I liked and then gave me honest and caring feedback when I tried them on. She also gave me suggestions for other dresses I may not have originally considered. She took the time and actually listened to me as I tried on dresses. Just before this appointment, I went to another larger shop, and while they were very nice, I left there feeling unheard, sad, and overwhelmed. I actually had to walk outside for fresh air, which is unlike me and not how I imagined dress shopping would go! Going to see Denise afterwards turned my whole day and dress shopping experience around. We laughed and smiled so much - she was truly a dream to work with. I was nervous that my wedding date was not far away, but Denise made sure I found a dress that would arrive in time - and it arrived in LESS THAN A MONTH! After the appointment, Denise was a great communicator and also helped me with seamstress recommendations. I also went back closer to the wedding date to purchase a GORGEOUS hair clip and earrings that were the perfect compliments to my dress. On the day of the wedding and whenever I share photos, everyone says the dress was made for me and was stunning. I am blessed to have found Denise to help me find the perfect dress! Even after the wedding, Denise has shown care and interest in me, which is a testament to her wonderful character. She truly cares about her brides and their stories, and is not just trying to make a sale. It is because of Denise that I looked and felt so beautiful on the most important day of my life. I can’t say enough good things about her and the shop. Highly recommend!!!! -

Lovely, speedy service!
I never had the joy of coming into this lovely bridal shop, but they truly came through for me in the week leading up to my wedding and I’ll be forever thankful!
During my final dress fitting a week before my wedding, I realized a back drop necklace would be the perfect finishing touch with my wide open back. Unfortunately a week was a tight turnaround and I was searching frantically high and low for this special piece.
My friend started calling bridal shops in CT to hunt one down and finally got in touch with Persnickety who sent her pictures, got in touch with me and shipped the most gorgeous piece the next day. It was stunning with my dress and I can’t wait to wear it on other occasions too! -

Without Persnickety Bride, I may have had to postpone my October 2020 wedding. After working closely with another salon in Connecticut to design a custom gown, and having my dream dress turn into a full-blown nightmare, I came across The Persnickety Bride online. With only three weeks left until my wedding, and no dress to wear, I had very little hope of finding a wedding gown. Immediately upon calling Persnickety my fears were allayed when Emily answered the phone and told me that they would be delighted to help me select the perfect gown. In fact, she emailed me a “look book” within minutes of our conversation, and she also scheduled an appointment for me for that very afternoon. Being able to look through the dresses online before my appointment was incredibly helpful and when I arrived at the salon, the dresses that I had selected online had been pulled and were ready for me. Both Emily and salon owner, Denise were incredibly warm, friendly, and accommodating. Within minutes I found a Justin Alexander gown that was absolutely gorgeous, but too large. Denise assured me that she could not only find the dress in my size, but have it in a matter of days. She also connected me with a seamstress who guaranteed to have the dress altered intime. After what had happened at the previous salon, I was skeptical that all of this was possible, but also hopeful because Denise and Emily had, thus far, delivered everything they promised (and more!). Within days of my ordering the dress, Denise called to let me know that it had arrived. She was able to get me in to try it on that day to try it on and it was perfect! She is my “Fairy Bridemother.” She delivers what she says she will and more. In fact, when we had a last-minute change to the wedding -- the addition of a flower girl less than a week before our nuptials -- Denise was the first (and only) person I called. To say that she went out of her way to accommodate is a massive understatement. She means business! Dresses were selected via the telephone because I had no opportunity to go to the salon. She took my flower girl’s measurements, sent me pictures of what she had available, and sent a dress within 24 hours! She is an absolute miracle-worker and a resolute task masker. In short, if it can be done, Denise will get it done. There’s more than that, though. There is such a personal touch at her salon. So much so that I felt like a member of her family. Denise understands how important a wedding gown is and she ensures that you will feel beautiful on your wedding day. My experience at Persnickety was a wonderful one. I highly recommend them to future brides.

Love, Love, Love the Basix evening gown that I purchased from Denise and her team. I have been searching online for this dress for almost a year, and when I saw it come up in response to my search inquiry, I was super excited! Being that I am in Georgia, and the dress boutique is located in CT, I was a little apprehensive about making such a big purchase. I sent Denise and her team an email and voicemail Sunday afternoon and first thing Monday morning, Denise returned my call and provided ALL the details and information I could ever request. In addition, she texted me live photos of the dress. I also looked around the website and read other reviews, which were all glowing. The ordering process was easily conducted via phone and my dress arrived in less than 2-days! Denise was very engaging from start to finish, and her assistant in the shop that handled the purchase was equally engaging and pleasant. Even though I was not in person, I felt that I had the same personalized service she would give her in-person clients. In sum, I highly recommend purchasing if you are hesitant about making an online/out of state purchase from The Persnickety Bride! It will be a great investment and smooth out of state/online purchase. -

I'm back home for the holidays from San Francisco and I thought I was going to pop into The Persnickety Bride, try on a few dresses and leave with an idea of what style and shape dress I would want to look for moving forward. Little did I know I would fall in love with not one but two dresses! Denis is AMAZING, she made looking for a dress fun, easy and stressless. Ahead of my appointment Denis called me so that we could FaceTime and get to know each other a little better. She wanted to know my story and see my face without a mask. (The Persnickety Bride is taking all of the proper precautions when it comes to dealing with covid 19.) I left my appointment totally torn but not once did I ever feel pressured to make a decision or purchase stress from the staff. After going back and forth between the dresses all night and consulting all of my closest friends I was still torn. I woke up the next morning with a little clarity when I received a text from Denis offering me another appointment that day if I wanted to come in and retry the dresses on. I was so happy to hear from her. I went back in, tried on the two dresses and said YES to the dress! Every single dress at The Persnickety Bride is stunning, of the highest quality and amazing on the wallet. Don't walk RUN to The Persnickety Bride if you want to find the perfect dress in an intimate stress free environment. I never thought finding the dress was going to be this easy. The best, most memorable part of my wedding planning experience (so far) has taken place at The Persnickety Bride with Denise and her girls. It's hard to decide where to start because there are a million and one reasons why this bridal store is so special. From the moment I made my appointment online, Denise made me feel like family. She reached out and talked to me about how I can prepare, what I should bring and what I should think about before arriving. They offered an online portal where I could browse through all the dresses and favorite the styles I liked. Based on that, they pulled them all ahead of time so when I arrived it was organized, efficient, and zero stress. Upon arrival, the store was ADORABLE, so clean, and felt like a fairytale. They had two huge fancy chairs where my Mom got to sit and feel special. Denise herself was a little ball of energy, who we fell in love with immediately. She was warm, funny, and just overall someone you want to spend time with. Now - to the dresses. After sitting and chatting for a few minutes, Denise said "I know which dress I want you to put on first." Let me tell you ... this woman knows what she is doing. Before the first dress was even zipped, I burst into tears. I knew it was mine as soon as she threw it over my head! It was just like I saw in the TV shows... when I made my grand exit my Mom burst into tears too. From that point on, Denise was patient and encouraged me to try on all the other dresses I selected. Nothing matched that first dress - I said "OBSESSED WITH THE DRESS!" I appreciated how they wanted me to utilize my full hour appointment, they did not rush me, and once I decided we had a champagne toast celebration. I'm now working with Denise for Save the Dates, Invitations, etc. Denise and her team of girls are so delightful and fun to work with. Denise and Emily were incredibly easy to work with and VERY responsive. I used them for my wedding invitation suite, but since we were all in quarantine due to Covid, I wasn't able to visit in person which made me nervous, but they answered all my questions and addressed all my concerns. We had our initial Zoom call in which I was able to let them know my thoughts and they were able to take it from there! Every step of the way, there was ample communication and I never felt like I couldn't ask a question or address a concern. I highly recommend!! -

I honestly cannot say enough good things about The Persnickety Bride. I honestly loved this store and Denise (the owner) THAT MUCH. I had a strong feeling I'd find the right dress there the moment I walked in the door. I'd already been to a couple of bridal stores, but nothing fully "clicked" for me before Persnickety. Plenty of dresses had looked good and other owners were also nice, but no owner compares to Denise. Her store is beautiful and filled with incredible quality gowns, but it really was the kind of service she gives that I've never gotten anywhere else (bridal or otherwise). She set me up with an online lookbook before my appointment so I could identify dresses I like (however many or few you want!) and then she had those ready for me when I arrived. She took the time to have a quick zoom pre-meeting with me so we could talk about my wedding and she could really understand me, my style, and my wedding. She clearly cares, and that's what makes her so effective at helping connect clients with their dress. She is genuinely excited for her brides, and she really knows how to help match them with dresses, be supportive of their vision, and give useful AND honest comments (but only when they're wanted). She really knows what she's doing. I genuinely believe the right dress for every bride is at Persnickety Bride. You will not be sorry if you go here!! -

I would absolutely recommend Denise and her team! I purchased a paloma blanca gown for my August wedding. It was pricey, but it was the experience of it all that made it worth it. I'm a pickier bride in that I didn't want too much lace or frills and Denise completely understood. I felt like she listened to what I was looking for and what my style was and did not try to push anything on me. For me, the experience of dress shopping with my mother was more important to me than trying to find the "perfect" dress.
I also wanted to support a local and female owned business. Denise is one of the most hardworking women I've ever met. She's passionate about her work and I hope her business continues to grow. -

I came to Persnickety a couple months ago and instantly fell in love with their dresses and staff. I had so much fun trying on gowns and just spending time in the store. I knew that I would be back again to get my prefect dress.
When I came back it was like we were all old friends and they knew exactly my style and what dresses I needed to try. I loved how personalized the experience felt. They really are just spectacular at what they do.

I got my wedding dress at The Persnickety Bride and it was the best experience! Denise, Lori, and all of the staff were so friendly and welcoming. Each appointment is one on one and she really took the time to listen to what I was looking for when it came to my dress. It was my first time shopping for my wedding dress, so I really only expected to figure out what style I liked best. However, by the fifth dress it was obvious I had found the one – a beautifully romantic Justin Alexander fit and flare from the Persnickety Bride. My mom and future mother-in-law spotted it in the store, but Denise knew it was out of my initial price range. I really appreciated her transparency and was grateful that she didn’t pressure me to try it on, but to appease the moms, I agreed to do so anyways. Of course, it was perfect and not like anything I thought I would’ve picked for myself. Both moms were in tears when I came out of the dressing room – it was a bonding moment, topped off with some bubbly. I recently picked up my dress and am amazed as to how perfectly it fits. Denise did an impeccable job with taking the measurements and because of that, I need very minimal adjustments. She and her staff were so wonderful with us and Denise’s enthusiastic personality made the entire experience painless and so enjoyable. I especially love her non-salesy approach – there’s enough pressure to go around when it comes to planning a wedding, so not having the added stress of a pushy salesperson is all I could have hoped for. From the time I made an inquiry about making an appointment, to when I walked out having purchased my dream dress, Persnickety Brides was AMAZING! After scheduling my appointment (all online, which was awesome!) I received a dress survey page where I was able to pick dresses that fit my perspective style. The day prior, I was sent a reminder email which also asked who I was bringing so they would be greeted by name (which they were!) I then was sent a personal text from Denise the day of my appointment. The multiple contacts really made me feel at ease. Parking is fantastic, and my elderly grandmother had no issues getting around the salon with her walker. Denise made everything so easy! (Also, a big shout out to her daughter and her daughter’s friend! They were organizing the dresses and helping us stay on track, thanks ladies!) The dresses were already waiting for me, and I found my dream dress in no time! I was slightly nervous that there wasn’t going to be enough inventory …boy, I was wrong! Every dress is stunning and there is ample selection. My mother even purchased her dress that she will be wearing to my wedding at the appointment as well! I'm currently in the process of working with Denise from The Persnickety Bride but am having such a wonderful engagement that I wanted to write a review now.
Right when I stepped in the shop with my mother and future MIL, I felt like family. Denise was so warm and welcoming along with her right hand-gal, Lori, who helped me in the dressing room and made me feel uber comfortable with what dresses fit me best. She listened to my concerns and helped accommodate with other gowns.
Because it was such a great experience, I think my happiness encouraged me to choose a dress that I later had second thoughts. Needless to say, I was a mess and felt terrible.
Long story short, my moms and I explained the situation and Denise was nothing short of understanding and empathetic to the situation. She invited me to come back, try on more styles and wouldn't you know it - I found THE dress! Even when I was thinking of making certain adjustments, she was on the phone with the designer's representative right then and there to take care of it.
I highly recommend this bridal shop to all future brides. It's more than just looking for a dress. It's a whole experience and feel like the queen that you are :) -

Denise and her team really listened to exactly what I was looking for, and pulled dresses that matched my style perfectly! I was looking for elegant/classy/clean-cut lines, and the Justin Alexander collection had so many great options. The third dress Denise suggested was the one! She is so friendly and really sees the big picture of your big day - it's about starting a new family! It was so nice to have a moment like finding my dress with stylists who were genuinely excited for me.
