Mrs. Gretchen, Mrs. Angie and their team are absolutely amazing! They go above and beyond to remove all stress from the bride and groom. The venue is gorgeous allowing you to be as elaborate or simplistic with your decor. We were married in July and had the ceremony at 7pm in the courtyard. The natural light and setting was simply perfect for the photographer. And the extra bonus for us was that we were informed that the proceeds the venue receives goes to the Charlotte Fire Dept. I more than recommend using The Palmer Building for your events. 5 stars all the way! -

The Palmer Building is such a gorgeous historic building. Once we saw it, we knew it would be perfect for our wedding reception. What we didn't expect was the outstanding customer service from the Palmer Building staff. Anjie and her team went out of their way to make our day perfect. They worked with us in the months leading up to the event to suggest vendors and services, accommodate our special requests, and even hold some of our decorations until we got back from the honeymoon. Quite simply, they were fabulous! -

The Palmer Building is a Beautiful Venue
This venue is Beautiful and the staff is professional and extremely helpful. Anji, Ali, and Amber were a joy to work with. We used several of their suggested vendors and it worked out great. When you rent this venue, you have tables and chairs and many decorations available to you. It was a huge plus to be able to get into the venue early to set up and decorate and then have until midnight the day of the wedding to get everything packed up. I would definitely recommend this venue to anyone. -

Emily Sent on 11/21/2017My husband and I fell in love with the Palmer Building when visiting venues for our nuptials. Not only is the staff absolutely amazing and accommodating, they also helped with a lot of my planning-- connecting me with top vendors and assisting with any questions/needs as I did not have a wedding planner. It was almost like working with a family! The actual venue is different from most, with enchanting stonework and almost a "castle-like" exterior. The option of performing the ceremony outdoors was very intimate and ethereal-- cannot wait to see the pictures! Thank you Ali, Gretchen and team!

Jillian Sent on 05/18/2017The Palmer Building staff was an absolute dream to work with! They were very responsive to emails and phone calls and incredibly flexible and accommodating for setting meetings and walk throughs around my busy schedule. In addition, they were extremlely organized and very up front about all costs and fees associated with using their space. One of the biggest reasons we chose The Palmer Building for our reception was due to the fact that when you reserve the venue, it is yours for the entire day. So many other facilities we looked at came in at a higher cost for just 4 or 5 hours. The Palmer Building had a better price and the ability to have the venue from 8am til midnight. The space is huge too! Plenty of room for cocktails, buffet, dinner tables and dancing, plus the stage to hold your band/DJ. This venue has a lot of natural beauty as well -- those stone fireplaces! -- so our decor needs were minimal. Speaking of decor, before you go purchasing everything, talk to the staff about your vision, because they have several vases, votives and centerpieces already available on site. There are just two things to be aware of with The Palmer Building -- there is only one set of bathrooms upstairs, and you must purchase alcohol from one of their packages (though pricing is more than reasonable). -

User1267993 Sent on 08/01/2013Everyone at The Palmer Bldg. is so friendly and easy to work with! The location was the perfect size to host the ceremony and buffet dinner inside their large 3800 sq. ft. space (for 100 guests). They have a lovely space for an outdoor ceremony, but we got married in July and we knew it would be too hot, so we did everything indoors. They handled the room set up, table linens, bar and bartending service - everything I needed at a FAR more reasonable price then most wedding venues in Charlotte! Flexibility is their middle name! My only item for improvement is that the space for the bride and her wedding party to dress is rather small - it worked fine for me since my daughter and I were the only females in the wedding party, but for brides with lots of bridesmaids, the dressing area may be an issue if you plan to do that on site. Otherwise, I give them an A plus! -
User1111595 Sent on 03/17/2013We loved working with the Palmer Building! We did all of our wedding planning on our own. The best decision we made was to have our reception at the Palmer Building. We walked into a group of "vendors" that are good friends and do a lot of business together - The Palmer Building (Anjie and Tom), Spintastic Sounds (Todd Alexander), and Family Catering (Icilda Nelson) - they do great business together and helped us plan the wedding we were dreaming of.
Everything went EXTREMELY well, ran smoothly, and was beautiful!! We had a great experience.
