Commitment Ceremony
We recently hosted our commitment ceremony at The Osprey with just six weeks to plan, due to unexpected health issues in our extended family. From the very beginning, Manager Vanessa Escobar and Johana Amezquita were outstanding. Their professionalism, responsiveness, and calm demeanor made what could have been a stressful process feel smooth and manageable.
Johana worked closely with several local caterers and helped us select Taste of Elegance, a woman-owned business from Fredericksburg. The coordination between Johana, Tracy Augstell, and Carey Barber of Taste of Elegance was excellent. They expertly managed the day’s timeline, handled several last-minute changes with grace and efficiency, and ensured everything ran seamlessly.
The venue itself was ideal for our event, offering a beautiful setting with a private dressing room, cocktail bar, dining area and a lovely two-level outdoor patio. The food from Taste of Elegance was delicious, and the overall customer service from both The Osprey team and Taste of Elegance far exceeded our expectations.
We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. I highly recommend The Osprey for anyone planning a special event. -

We had been dreaming of a waterfront venue for our fall 2025 wedding and the Osprey's more than delivered! Unlike other waterfront venues, because there's also a skyline of the trees across the river it gave the most BEAUTIFUL fall foliage!! It was stunning and we still get compliments and questions on how we found this venue! Also, Tori was the BEST at being so responsive and flexible. She was very knowledgeable and helpful in planning our big. I had no "post wedding blues" because everything about our day was absolutely perfect and it wouldn't have been the same without the Osprey's at Belmont Bay! -

I went to see the Osprey's back in January 2025 and fell in love with it right away. We met with Vanessa, who showed us the venue and went over reception options for our wedding. One thing we quickly realized was that the Osprey's had excellent customer service. Every question we had was answered quickly. Vanessa was very friendly, professional, and easy to work with. Even with the follow up questions we had after our tour, Vanessa responded to our emails quickly. Once we were about 45 days away from the wedding, we were paired with Tori, who was our Event Director. When we met with Tori, she was very friendly and helpful. One thing that we found helpful was the timeline template they provided us with. It helped us plan out our reception details with ease. One thing to note was that the Osprey's provides a list of preferred vendors to work with, such as DJ's, caterers etc. Their preferred list was a God send! We ended up hiring 3 of their preferred vendors and so happy we did! The our wedding day was PERFECT. Everything we planned and wanted actually happened. I received so many compliments about the venue and the wedding and I was so happy our guests truly enjoyed it. Tori did a fantastic job as our event director and made sure we followed the timeline and kept things moving with ease. While the day flew by, we simply had an amazing wedding. I wanted to send a huge thank you to the Osprey's and especially Vanessa and Tori for making our special day go so well. :) -

Destination Wedding in the DMV
Thank you Ospreys at Belmont Bay for executing my beautiful wedding. The venue provided me and my husband with a destination like wedding right here in the DMV. My ceremony was outside overseeing the water on a beautiful pergola. A special shout out to my Event Director Tori she was truly amazing to work with from start to finish. -

The coordinators are so helpful. The list of recommended vendors really helps because they are vendors that they have worked with many times. The bridal suite is so big and spacious and I love that the groom had somewhere to be as well. I loved the “borrowed” closet, that really helped with purchasing decor and not having to spend the money on certain pieces. The venue is so spacious that you won’t feel overcrowded. I definitely recommend this venue because of the coordinators, the location and views and over all experience. -

This review is long overdue as my wedding was in April 2024. But I'm glad we chose to have our wedding at the Ospreys.
There were a few reasons why we ended up choosing the Ospreys - aside from the obvious beautiful waterfront view right by the venue.
We loved that the venue was flexible. We wanted to incorporate our culture's food as part of our wedding, and we were able to do so using one of the Osprey's event service provider partners. We also could provide our own alcohol, which was nice since we could choose certain beer brands & liquor that would normally not be available through typical wedding catering companies. The Ospreys also allowed for us to drop off decorations & alcohol a day before the wedding, making it easier on us to have less things to coordinate on wedding day. They have a lot of decor on-hand, which we ended up using a handful of their decor items.
The Ospreys has both a bridal & groom's suite that we could enter starting from mid-morning of wedding day. This was huge for my husband & I since surprisingly not a lot of venues in the area offer a groom's suite, and even those that had just a bridal suite had a strict arrival time that was only a couple hours before the start of the wedding ceremony. So being able to access the venue for essentially the entire day was a big plus!
We also loved how the location is in northern Virginia, so many of our friends & family didn't have to travel far to attend our wedding. The venue is right off a major road and had ample parking, so it made it that much more convenient for our guests to drive to/from the venue.
Overall, I'd recommend this venue to anyone who's looking for a venue that is gorgeous, accommodating, and easily accessible! -

The best venue! book your wedding at the Osprey's!
The Osprey’s at Belmont Bay is the best venue! From the moment we walked in we loved working with Amy! She was so sweet and helpful and made the wedding planning process so much easier and less stressful. Unfortunately, Amy left while working with her, however Vanessa quickly stepped up and helped us with everything we needed. We loved working with Vanessa. Vanessa was super detail oriented and made sure our day was flawless. We received so many compliments from all our guests on how beautiful our venue and the scenery around it were. I also will admit that I was nervous with the ballroom and dance being split, however it worked perfectly and was not an issue at all. I knew right from the beginning that having a bridal suite where I felt comfortable in was really important. The Osprey’s has the most beautiful bridal suite! My bridal party and I had the best time getting ready in there. My hair and makeup artists said they had never seen such a beautiful space for the bridal and bridal party. I also loved that they had a decor closet! This saved me so much money and made our wedding so beautiful! Book your wedding at the Osprey’s at Belmont Bay, you won’t regret it! -

This review is long overdue! My husband and I got married here back in August and we are still thinking of how perfect the day was. The staff at Osprey’s at Belmont Bay were beyond professional and responsive to our needs and concerns. I have to specifically mention Vanessa who was assigned our venue coordinator. She made everything super easy and was always a step ahead. The reason we chose this venue was because of its convenient location and how GORGEOUS it is! All of my guests were raving about how clean and beautiful the venue was. This was such an affordable venue for all that it offered. We held our wedding at The Ospreys on 6.10.2023 and it couldn't have been a more perfect day! Our criteria were simple. Somewhere that encompassed the beauty of Northern Virginia, catered to our loved ones and offered something for all ages! We had a positive experience from beginning to end! I can't tell you how many times I heard that something would go wrong, but not to panic. I had zero reason to panic because it went smoothly! The staff definitely put my mind at ease and took care of the details. All of our guests were impressed by the venue and everyone the encountered.

We got married on 5/20/23 at the Osprey’s at Belmont Bay and it was the perfect venue for us. From our initial visit to tour the venue we knew that the Osprey’s was the place we wanted to say I do. Everything from the getting ready suites (which are super spacious and beautiful) to the ceremony site on the water, to the stunning reception space and everything in between was absolutely perfect. If you are looking for a “light and airy” venue with stunning outdoor views on the water this venue is for you.
We had the opportunity to work with Amy throughout our entire planning process. We initially met her at our venue tour and were lucky enough to have her as our event director on our big day. She was a huge help with all of our wedding planning including giving insight, helping to bring ideas to life and so much more. She coordinated our day perfectly and helped make the day run soothly, making the day completely stress free for us. We are forever thankful to have had her be such a big part of our wedding day!

Ospreys is a beautiful venue. The bright farmhouse look was exactly what I was looking for. The pergola wedding was beautiful in front of the water. Gabby was our event coordinator and she was amazing! She was fun, professional and we loved how she could work and still mingle with the kids. My husband and I fell in love with the venue the moment we arrived. We loved the waterfront pergola and the convenience of the reception being right there. It was a stressful time planning for us because I was having health problems and was going to need surgery soon. We pushed my surgery back because we did not want to have to postpone our wedding. I really doubt we would have been able to pull it off if it wasn't with the help of our amazing coordinator, Vanessa. Vanessa was so helpful and so detail oriented. The venue is stunning, but what made this place so special was the help and love that the staff put into making your day the BEST DAY EVER! This place will always have a special place in our hearts. -

We had the pleasure of working with Vanessa as our event coordinator and we were sold. From the first tour till the day of our wedding we knew we had selected the right venue for us. We had initially thought to have a large number of guest, but down sized once we fell in love with the venue. We really loved that they offer the event coordinator as part of the package as well as the decor support. We want to personally thank Vanessa because she was there for it all from day one, she responded to emails no matter what time we sent them, she made sure everything went as planned and as discussed, worked with our vendors to make sure everything we had imagined for our day went perfectly. We looked at three different venues in the Occoquan area (Harbour View, River View and this one, The Ospreys.) The Ospreys was by far the nicest and the best deal. It had stunning indoor/outdoor areas and was right on the river (they have a spacious bridal suite and groom's quarters too.) PLUS they include an event coordinator and free access to use their stock of amazing decorations. Gabby and Amy were responsive and gave much assurance leading up the big day. Gabby was our assigned event coordinator and her expertise, professionalism and thoughtfulness made the event flow smoothly and so stress-free. This beautiful yet affordable venue is quite a gem in the area and I highly recommend it. -

First and foremost, this review is very overdue - life threw us a few curveballs right after the wedding lol
But anyway, the Ospreys at Belmont Bay was everything we hoped and dreamed of especially since we were trying to find a space like theirs at relatively short notice. We originally wanted a destination wedding but after those plans had to change we set out to find a venue local to us, near the water with a view, that we could have our ceremony outside and cocktail hour/reception inside within a reasonable price. The Ospreys was the only venue that checked off all our boxes; we are so thankful. They not only had multiple spaces for the actual event, there was also a beautiful bridal suite and groom's quarters that everyone loved. Around back, their infamous willow tree and rolling green hills are picturesque. Their vendor list was awesome and reliable. Not only did the venue deliver, but Amy, our event director was also amazing! We are so grateful to have had her guidance and attention throughout this process. Her expertise helped us reorganize our day (which ran an hour behind....shout out to my lashes making me crazy late to the wedding). She not only never missed a beat but we were still able to pretty much do and have everything we wanted without feeling stressed or rushed like crazy. She worked extremely well with our wedding party and family to keep everything smooth. If you're looking for the whole package, look no further. The space and the people were out of this world amazing and we're so happy we found them. -

The Osprey's is such a beautiful venue and we are so happy that we chose them for our wedding! The ceremony pergola with the Bay as the backdrop was so amazing! The weather for our late June wedding was a bit hot, but it definitely helped that our late afternoon ceremony at the pergola had shade from the surrounding trees.
Vanessa was our coordinator from the Osprey's and she was so crucial in helping everything run smoothly on our wedding day! She was very professional and so easy to work with - helping provide recommendations and answering our questions as the ultimate wedding expert. Makeup and hair took longer than expected, but Vanessa was able to work with our vendors to help us get as back-on-schedule as possible. She handled everything that needed to be handled on our special day, already knew almost all of our vendors prior to our event, and was such a lifesaver throughout it all! She and her team also set up all the decorations that we had provided (according to the descriptions we provided) in the ceremony location, ballroom, and dining room. They were all so dreamy!
Since we initially booked the venue, the Osprey's added new furniture and decor to their venue which made it even more amazing than we had originally anticipated for our wedding day! The bridal and groomsmen suites had everything we needed (mirror, minifridge, etc...) and it was so fun to get ready at the venue! We got so many compliments from our guests about how beautiful our wedding was!

We loved our experience at The Ospreys. The staff was super friendly, helpful, and flexible. The venue was beautiful inside and out. We had the ceremony outside by the water and the reception inside. Really nice spaces for the groom and guys downstairs and the bridal suite for the bride and girls upstairs. We had around 90 guests and the venue felt like the perfect size, although if you had 120-130 I bet you would feel good too. If you go with this venue, stick with their recommended vendors (DJ Andres, Taste of Elegance catering) as they are pros and know this venue very well. We are very happy with our choice! -

Lisa and the rest of the Ospreys team is the best to work with. This team will make sure you have your best day ever!! No joke they will bend over backwards for you. I am so glad we worked with Lisa, she was so patient with all my questions because of Covid making us change our date a year later.

We are so thankful we found this place!
Everything about our wedding ended up being perfect due in no small part to our venue. The Osprey's at Belmont Bay is an absolutely gorgeous location and the rates were a great deal. We loved the bridal suite, the groom's quarters and all beautiful locations to take pictures on the property (a picture we took under the willow tree is our favorite). What we appreciated the most, however, was the in-house event directors. My husband and I had the joy of working with Lisa who was fantastic. It can be challenging to plan any big event, especially a wedding but Lisa made sure everything went smoothly. We highly recommend The Osprey's! -

Best Venue Ever!
We first visited this venue during Covid, so they weren't able to give us a complete tour and a lot of things were put away for cleaning. However, everyone was super friendly and the venue was beautiful.
It didn't take us long to book them as our venue. Amy Domenech was the first person we began communicating with, and she was very helpful and reliable. Eventually she put us in contact with our Event Director upon our request, Vanessa Escobar, who was equally amazing. Vanessa was on top of things and helped everything be perfect before and during our wedding!
I wouldn't change a thing about this venue! -

The Osprey’s know how to do weddings!! Vanessa helped us plan our whole day from start to finish. She was very responsive and flexible when it came to any questions or request we had for the day of. We had our rehearsal the day before the wedding and after running through the ceremony a couple times everyone felt confident and comfortable about walking down the aisle. We dropped our decor off the day of the rehearsal and when we showed up the next day for the wedding Vanessa had everything ready to go and all of our decor was set up just as we envisioned it! The venue itself is updated and we had multiple guest comment on how nice it was. The waterfront views, willow tree and the pergola outside were great for pictures! We truly couldn’t have been any happier with our venue choice and would highly recommend anyone getting married to make sure they check out the Osprey’s!

We were very fortunate in that our May 23rd nuptials were among the first “full-sized” weddings after most Covid restrictions were eased in Virginia. We were even more fortunate that we chose The Osprey’s as our venue. Amy and her team provided amazing advice and support amid much uncertainty during the planning process, and they absolutely knocked it out of the park on our wedding day. The venue is absolutely gorgeous. We were blessed with great weather for our lovely late afternoon ceremony at the pergola, and the indoor reception space was equally impressive . Special shout-out to our Event Coordinator Vanessa, a true rock star. Vanessa seemed to be everywhere at once, managing the various vendors, helping to French bustle my wedding dress, decorating the sweetheart table and backdrop, and so much more. I’m sure we don’t even know the half of what Vanessa pulled off while we were enjoying our special day! A bonus was that Vanessa speaks Spanish, which my mother-in-law appreciated. Thank you Victoria and to the entire staff at The Ospreys for making our special day amazing and taking such good care of us! Our expectations were exceeded and I don’t know how we would’ve done it without them! The venue was absolutely beautiful. We had to postpone our wedding due to the pandemic and they were so accommodating and flexible. When it came down to the big day, Victoria took care of just about everything and made sure everything (and everyone) were in order. It goes without saying that weddings are so stressful, but it’s clearly evident that they know exactly what they’re doing. We were totally impressed! Amazing venue
My husband and I are so happy we chose to get married at the Osprey’s. It’s a beautiful venue! We received so many compliments from our guests about how perfect the venue was. The staff is also so helpful. We worked with Vanessa and she was a godsend. We really appreciated The Osprey’s flexibility when we had to postpone our wedding due to COVID. They didn’t charge us for this which we really appreciated since I had heard from friends that their venues weren’t as flexible. Vanessa was so helpful leading up to wedding day. She answered my millions of questions and she provided us with a detailed wedding day timeline, floor plan and ceremony layout. On wedding day, Vanessa was our day-of-coordinator and she made sure everything was taken care of. She worked with our other vendors to ensure that they had the information and resources they needed. Everything was perfect on our wedding day and I credit that to Vanessa and her fellow staff members at The Osprey’s. -

It’s easy to say everything was perfect after having your big day finally to come true. My experience during COVID was very different and still, I cannot say how much helpful and thoughtful the staff was at all times.
I’ve changed the date and type of my wedding twice and ended up canceling due COVID implication bringing my family from abroad. Amy, Victoria and everyone I contacted (many times) were amazing on being flexible, answering my questions and making my experience a great one.
The venue is gorgeous and I definitely recommend it! -

From the initial contact with Amy to the final moment of packing up for the night, the Osprey’s could not have been more accommodating and helpful in carrying out the perfect day. I can’t say enough about the staff here and the vendors that we used. I was beyond lucky in how flexible they were through out Covid, and I’ve heard other brides have some unfortunate stories. The venue and vendors are hidden gems amongst a pricey NOVA area and one of the best kept secrets. They offer customized decor to rent to help save brides from over committing to DIY and buying items they need to turn around and try to sell or donate. Brides, book them ASAP! You will NOT regret it. -

We booked our September 2020 wedding with the Osprey's back in June 2019. We initially booked it because the venue is gorgeous, everyone was friendly, and they made it seem like having a wedding there would be painless by offering BYO alcohol, a list of amazing vendors to choose from, a venue that offered easy flow (separate rooms for bride & groom, ample outdoor space with a fire pit, separate ballroom and bar room for eating & dancing), decor rentals for those items you'd only use on your wedding day, and (most important to me) the promise of an event director.
And then a little thing called Coronavirus happened. While we were still making decisions as to what our wedding was going to look like, if we were even going to still have a wedding, we were assigned our event director, Victoria who is nothing short of amazing. Throughout the whole process, she was open to conversations and still remained enthusiastic and joyful as our 140 person wedding was cut down to 20 in order to remain safe. The communication and flexiblity was on point all the way to our wedding - I was even sending her emails 24 hours before that she quickly responded to!
Then the day and I promise you it could not have been the success that it was without the incredible team at the Osprey's and Victoria's hard work. From making sure our bridal party got down the aisle on time, to careful placement of our flowers, to rushing to get us our champagne for the perfect sunset toast, my husband and I were able to sit back and enjoy our beautiful day thanks to her and the team. She even wore wildflower pants to reflect our theme!
Weddings are stressful, a wedding in the midst of a global pandemic? Unthinkable. And yet the whole time we felt supported and the day was beautiful. I really could go on about the numerous details that I loved about booking here but all I can say is it was our first decision with regards to the wedding planning process and it was one of our best as well. -

Dream Venue for my Dream Wedding
Lisa C., a day-of event coordinator from Osprey's, made our wedding night the best night of my life. After COVID caused my husband and I to cancel our already planned dream wedding, we stumbled across Osprey's on WeddingWire. Lisa had us come do a site visit as soon as we reached out, provided tons of information in a well organized package, and gave us a tour of their immaculate facility. The pergola was the perfect backdrop for our ceremony even with having Hurricane Zeta rain down TONS of water the day before our wedding. The ceremony space was as if not a drop of water touched it and none of our guests complained of any mud. Having the gorgeous bridal suite and quirky groom's quarters on site was a blessing. It helped get our bridal party in one place so nobody would be late. The event space was perfect too. We're not a banquet hall type of couple, but Osprey's was able to reimagine a banquet hall into a modern, minimalist chic space. Lisa let me set up most of our wedding decorations because I'm such a control freak, but when I got there the day of my wedding I came in to find Lisa assessed the decorations and added in additional touches (free of charge) that took the space from pretty to fabulous. We couldn't have had such an amazing day without Lisa or the Osprey's staff there for us every step of the way. -

Vanessa was great!
Vanessa was very accommodating and helpful to making our day wonderful. At first we were to have an outdoor wedding, but the rain changed that. So we had to change it to indoor. At first I wasn’t happy with this because I always had a vision for outdoors. But Vanessa went beyond to making the place beautiful for us. Leading up to the wedding day, she was in contact with us ensuring all details were taken care of. Although we had a smaller package wedding, she made us feel it was a grand wedding. -

The Most Beautiful Wedding Venue and the Excellent Service!
From the first time we saw the photos of the Osprey's we knew it was the venue for us. We were so lucky that we could book on the most beautiful day in October. The whole place is absolutely beautiful! The outdoor ceremony with the Potomac river behind, the reception, and the Ballroom area...
Vanessa, my day of venue coordinator was very helpful, responsive, professional, and flexible with everything. She was there making sure everything was running smoothly and on time.
We had so much compliments on our wedding day programs, venues, decorations, and much more from our guests. Plus, it was a perfect beautiful fall weather.

Choosing the Osprey made our wedding day what it was. The location was breathtaking and has space for everything from getting ready, an outdoor ceremony, cocktails and dancing, dining, ALL of it. On top of that, you are provided a wedding coordinator and they make your wedding dreams come to life. Vanessa was our coordinator and she was a dream come true, a literal angel. I would not have gone with any other vendor for our wedding. We were flexible with a weekday wedding. The price and knowing we were the only wedding for the day, sold us immediately. From the beginning the staff at The Osprey's were professional, answering all questions. In the beginning, as the bride I know I was excited and sometimes answers couldn't come fast enough, but it was never overlooked. The coordinators would even say to email them again, as we should all understand, they have lots of wedding to attend to! We enjoyed working with Victoria and Amy. Both were very sweet and focused on making the wedding day phenomenal. There was a time when coordinators had to switch clients, but they put on an event that made the transition smooth. We were invited to events where their major partners would be present, which made meeting approved vendors much easier. They also had recommendations of professionals regarding other aspects of the wedding. They could vouch for their services. For example, we needed help finding an officiant, a month before the wedding. On wedding day, all staff were helpful, they were ready, and on time. Coordinators help with decor made by bride/groom, or provided by venue. They rent their decor as well, and keep working on new materials. So you could save some there! Not once did I think they would rather be somewhere else. My father even mentioned to me that he was impressed with the venue, and staff. That if there was any hiccup during the event, he did not know, noting how flawless their customer service was. Can't thank The Osprey's enough for how wonderful and memorable our wedding was. -

The venue was absolutely beautiful and Amy was great! We had a few hiccups before the ceremony (due to other vendor deliveries) and Amy handled them wonderfully! She kept things in order before the ceremony and throughout the evening, and she even helped clean everything up! We received so many compliments about how great she was as a coordinator and how beautiful our venue was. The venue has so many good indoor and outdoor spaces, it's right on the bay and has a GORGEOUS willow tree in the back that was so great for wedding shots. We were also allowed to bring in all of our decor the day prior which relieved a lot of stress on my end. The venue also allows you to select your own catering and bring in your own beverages if you use their service company. Which is extremely rare when it comes to most venues! I highly recommend this location for your next event or wedding :) -

The Osprey’s at Belmont Bay was the best decision I made (other than saying yes to my husband). They run like a well oiled machine. Amy was assigned to be my event coordinator and her calm demeanor shined through any time I became flustered with the wedding planning process. I had quite a large group at my rehearsal and she managed the many personalities of my wedding party very well. The venue itself was perfect. The serene water in the background and the majesty of the pergola are captured beautifully in my pictures. It’s also great that we’re slightly above the ground so everyone is able to see in the audience. When the party started, my older guests were able to get away from the noise in the dining area and my younger guests were able to enjoy themselves in the party area with easy access to the bar. The owner, Hunter, was also very accommodating throughout the process. He made a table with his own hands for us that I’ll treasure for the rest of my life (see photo). Thanks for everything, Amy! -

My daughter’s wedding on July 6, 2019, at the Osprey’s was everything we had hoped and planned for. Thanks to Amy, Victoria, and all of the Osprey’s staff, the wedding was absolutely perfect. We especially appreciated the way Amy, our wedding coordinator, took care of every detail so we were able to just enjoy the day. Our planning meeting with them put our minds at ease and helped us see that they knew what they were doing. One of the best parts of having the wedding at The Osprey’s was the fact that they are a dog-friendly venue. My daughter and her husband were able to have their puppy in the groom’s quarters and after the ceremony, the puppy joined us for photos. Someone on their staff even made sure that the puppy had water since it was a very hot day.
We used many of the vendors recommended by The Osprey’s and we were happy with all of their services. Shawn’s Smokehouse, Nicole Haun Photography, and Edibles Incredible cakes all far surpassed our expectations. Having the ceremony by the riverside was beautiful. Many of our wedding guests commented about what a great venue it was for the ceremony and for the reception. I can recommend The Osprey’s without reservation as a wonderful place to have a wedding. -

My now husband and I booked this venue a littler over a year and a half before our wedding (7/25/19) and had worked with Brooke whom we both fell in love with she was one of the reasons we booked it on the spot. Well fast forward a few months later and Brooke left to start her own business so I was little nervous getting paired with another DOC but we ended up getting paired with Amy and let me tell you she was nothing short of amazing!!! She answered all of our questions and even helped us make some important decisions for our big day! The day of our wedding we had a couple hiccups and she handled them like the pro she is! Our wedding day was amazing and she is a major reason why. The venue itself is breathtaking and you can't beat the price. Stop reading this review and book The Ospreys now!! -

I’m so excited about the Ospreys at Belmont Bay. My fiancé and I viewed three venues and none of them felt like the Ospreys. We already felt the love and just knew our special day had to be there.
