We chose this venue for a couple of reasons, not the least of which was the enchantingly rustic setting (I can’t wait to see how our professional photos turned out!)...the staff was professional and very helpful; we really couldn’t have asked for s lovelier experience! -

Flexible, GREAT value!
OMB was our first choice for wedding venue and we were SO fortunate to be able to reserve them. They were very flexible, attentive to our needs, and made a package that was tailored for us. Charlotte was available, easy to communicate with, and genuinely seemed eager and happy to work with us. Planning was really stress-free. The food was AMAZING! We got so many compliments on that, the beer, and the cider! OMB provided so many of the essentials - tables, chairs, table cloths, etc, even candle votives. This saved us so much in rental costs that we were able to afford an open bar and other amenities that otherwise would have been out of our budget.
Our guests had nice, clean facilities available, the room was private to us but still accessible for our guests to hang out in the biergarten before the ceremony. Plus the landscaping and grounds are well taken care of - we took our pre-ceremony photos on site.
PLENTY of free parking the day of, plus close to hotels and the airport for our out of town guests and near the light rail so they could conveniently get Uptown. We found our florist through OMB's recommended vendors too!
We could not have asked for a more perfect place. -

Emily Sent on 09/10/2018We booked The Olde Mecklenburg Brewery for our rehearsal dinner and wedding welcome party and the event could not have been more perfect! Their staff was so helpful to us during the entire planning process. They helped make menu recommendations and were endlessly patient with us. We had about 30 guests for the rehearsal dinner and 100 guests for the welcome party and their staff made the entire event run flawlessly. The food was good, the prices were reasonable, and we got so many compliments on our venue choice. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone else looking for a place to hold a special event. Thank you so much OMB!

Tina Sent on 03/20/2017This was everything I was looking for in a wedding location. I had my ceremony and reception on site and it was beautiful. I wanted it simple and elegant. The staff was so hard-working and friendly. The main areas remain open to the public but I loved that relaxed casual feel. Not to mention it's amazing to walk around in a wedding dress while the entire pub shouts odes of congratulations. They supply plenty of chairs and tables. I also catered through them and the food was delicious, guests were complimenting the food and the venue itself. It's a great location if you're looking for everything in one place: ceremony, reception, and catering. The large room gets flipped from the ceremony to the reception and there's a cocktail room while people wait for the magical flip. I also love that there's a roped off area on the patio for the wedding. All in all, it was amazing. -
User2267166 Sent on 08/12/2015All I can say is, if you are looking for a beautiful location with a relaxed atmosphere, this is the place for your reception! They were willing to work with me on anything I wanted to do for my reception, and the gorgeous rooms for events are a lovely canvas for any decor! The coordinators and bartenders were professional and fun, and I couldn't have been more pleased!
