From the very first meeting with Rebecca, our coordinator, to tour the Old Mill, we were blown away with her professionalism and the fell in love with the venue. The venue has multiple ceremony options to choose from, and the best part was that even the rain contingency was beautiful. Being an anxious planner, I thought that wedding planning would be super stressful, but the Queen of Hearts team was so on top of things and so well organized that they made the process fun and simple! They have so much experience that they could answer any questions we had, as well as give us advise to ensure that we had the information we needed to make decisions. The month before the wedding, so many friends and family asked how stressed we were, but we were confident in the Queen of Hearts team and totally calm! Rebecca was thorough and efficient, and kept the wedding party on task during the rehearsal to ensure everyone was extremely clear on the plan. She was also very proactive giving us options with the rain forecasted for our wedding day. Despite the rain, our wedding day was absolutely perfect, and a large part of that was because of the Queen of Hearts team. They kept everything on time, worked well with our other vendors, and delivered the most amazing food – most dinner plates were all clean at the reception, and so many guests raved about it! The chefs even met our request to make tiramisu for dessert, which was delicious!
I can not recommend The Old Mill or Queen of Hearts enough – we’ve gotten so many compliments on how wonderful our wedding was, but most of all, my husband and I had the BEST day. The Old Mill is truly a venue that wows. We got married on May 26th, 2024, with The Old Mill and Queen of Hearts Catering, and our guests still tell us, months later, how beautiful and unique the property was, how delicious and different the food options were, and what an incredible time they had. From the beautiful wooded ceremony site, to the spacious grounds for breathtaking photos, and the quaint reception space to dance the night away, there is no chance you will have a less than perfect wedding day. Working with the Queen of Hearts staff was a breeze, with quick communication, comprehensive planning materials, and friendly day-of staff members. Rebecca and Regina were phenomenal and made our day such a breeze. And the day goes by quickly, so take it all in!The Old Mill's reply:

The catering team that works out of the old mill (Conner catering) helped us with EVERYTHING! I barely had to lift a finger. The location is so dreamy and was everything I envisioned and more. We couldn’t have picked a better place to get married. I can’t wait to get our wedding photos back and relive the day over and over! -

The Old Mill is Beautiful!!! We got so so so many compliments on our venue. The way it lights up when it is all decorated, is incredible. Having everything all in one space, but very different settings was a huge plus for us!! And The Conner Team was great! Don worked with us from the very beginning to capture the vibe we wanted for our wedding. He was so easy to work with, and obviously knew what he was doing. He was able to talk us through all the little things you might not think about with planning, but also really listened to what we wanted and helped us make it all possible. The behind the scenes team was great with quick email responses and INCREDIBLE food!!!! We loved having our wedding at the Old Mill. -

As soon as we saw The Old Mill, Rose Valley my husband and I fell in love! This venue is so beautiful and unique. It matched my vision for a dream venue perfectly. The outdoor area offers so much beauty and photo opportunities. We got married outside in the gorgeous meadow and then had out cocktail hour in the stunning patio and pavilion. We loved the greenery filled patio with the stone arches so much . The reception area was AMAZING! We loved the vintage and romantic feel of the ballroom. Our guests kept coming up to us asking where we found this place and how in awe they were of the beauty. Have your wedding here! -

Do not hesitate in booking the Old Mill for your wedding or event. They were the most wonderful venue to work with from start to finish and people still talk about the food they had at our wedding, almost 6 months later. Don and his team go above and beyond to customize weddings for each couple so that no two weddings are alike and it is truly personalized. We were married at the Old Mill in July 2021 after having to postpone our wedding for a year due to the pandemic. The Old Mill was extremely transparent and flexible in working with us to find a new date. Don and his team went above and beyond meeting with us anytime that we requested to discuss menu options, decor ideas, and day of logistics. We had many friends getting married at the same time at other venues in the area and we by far had the best experience at the Old Mill. If you are looking for a venue were you can customize everything from appetizers, to entrees, to decor and desserts than this is the place for you. The stage in the venue was perfect for a band and we truly had an amazing time. We had such a wonderful experience that my sister has even decided to book her wedding there! I cannot recommend this team and venue enough for your wedding. -

From the very start, Donald and Conner Catering were very professional. The Old Mill provides a rustic, natural wedding space and Conner Catering was there for us every step of the way. We can’t thank them enough for all of the quick communication and answers when needed. Whenever we wanted to meet with Conner Catering, they made themselves readily available. Conner Catering knows their venue and this business inside and out and pays particular attention to all details. They were more than willing to work with us on our specific requests and needs to make the day great for ourselves, friends and family! The kitchen, serving staff, and bar tenders were all so kind to our guests and went out of their way to help us celebrate on our day. We are still hearing from friends and family about how beautiful the venue is, how amazing the food was and how kind and professional the staff were. The catering manager, Christine, was amazing as well and made sure everything was perfect. During the week of our wedding, the forecast called for rain on our wedding day. Donald was so responsive and helpful. He guided us through every step even when we had to change plans back and forth a few times to accommodate the weather. It truly was an amazing day and we couldn’t be happier that we chose the Old Mill for our wedding. -

I don’t even know where to begin. The Old Mill was truly a dream venue. When I pictured what our wedding might look like, The Old Mill nailed every single detail. They were fantastic to work with, answering questions regularly throughout the process, meeting with my fiancé and I several times, talking us through how the whole wedding thing works (since neither of us had ever done it before), and just making the whole process of planning a wedding through a pandemic has stress free as possible. The food is absolutely beautiful and it tastes even better than it looks. Mr. Conner was amazing on the day of our wedding, always keeping an eye on everything and making sure that the moment someone needed something, it was taken care of. Our bridal attendant, Christine, was an actual dream. The second something popped into our heads, it was taken care of. The venue itself is gorgeous, but the table settings and organization was beyond. I honestly cannot think of a single complaint or thing that I would have changed. It really was the best day of our lives thanks to the staff at The Old Mill! -

Beautiful Wedding - Amazing Venue
My husband and I had our wedding here May 30th, 2021. Donald Conner and his staff are seriously incredible, he is a perfectionist with a high attention to detail. All of the staff from his assistant Christine, his bartenders, waitstaff and everyone in between were so kind, helpful and seemed to truly love what they do, which after an uncertain year, was really refreshing and welcome on our wedding day!
Don was really flexible and helpful when it came to the ongoing changes of Covid restrictions, we met 3+ times due to the changing restrictions and Don did not bat an eye, and kept us personally up to date and gave advice along the way. We also had the coldest weekend in May, which also caused more logistical changes the day before, and again, Don gave his opinion, but also supported our decisions and helped with last minute changes and logistical updates, keeping us at ease with the insane weather!
My wedding day was truly the best day of my life, due in part to Don and his awesome staff. Every guest we spoke to said it was the best food they had ever had at a wedding, and noted the upbeat personalities and constant high level of service through out the night as well, in addition to the gorgeous venue and grounds. I would recommend The Old Mill to anyone looking! Thank you again!

I honestly haven't stopped crying since May 28th. Our wedding was suppose to be May 1st 2020..they say if you want to see god laugh tell him your plans. With Covid and capacity restrictions to mask mandates what couple wouldn't be anxious leading up to their day? Honestly the words THANK YOU are not enough for Don and his crew here at the Old Mill. Don reassured us many times leading up to the day that everything would work out, and that is in no small part because of Christine! You are a godsend, without you that day I wouldn't have known my left from my right. You took great care of my mother and father that day as well. I am eternally grateful for you.
If you have the slightest reservation about booking with The Old Mill, let it go. This place will knock your socks off with service and the FOOD, OMG the FOOD, your guest will talk about it for years to come.
As a gay couple at times during this process of getting married you take disrespect and sometimes even flat out doors being slammed in your face...That did NOT happen here, not once, not even a hint of awkwardness. They were beyond accommodating, welcoming and everyone had a friendly smile even through a mask.

Due to covid, our entire wedding changed over the course of a few months. The venue was extremely flexible and incredibly helpful with keeping up with health guidelines. They went from being our reception venue (indoors) to being our ceremony and reception space (entirely outdoors). Not only is the staff wonderful, but the site is exceptionally gorgeous. Everyone complimented how beautiful the scenery was and our photos turned out absolutely amazing.
The only downside to this venue for those who are looking for a late night party is that Rose Valley is a residential area that has very strict alcohol and music policies. If you are looking for a late night party reception, this is not the spot for you.
I would 100% recommend this space to all of my friends. It was perfect. -

The Old Mill and the Conner Catering Team were a dream to work with. When we originally booked with them two years prior, we had anticipated a larger wedding with nearly 250 guest. As COVID hit, they did everything in their power and within safety to ensure we were still able to have our special day. Although we cut our guest list back, made multiple changes to ensure our guests were safe, the team at the Old Mill were very responsive, flexible and quick to make sure we could have the wedding we dreamed of. The day of events went beautifully and smoothly, and the food was amazing! Its a night I will never forget.
Leading up to the big day, we did have several meetings with Don, who walked us through all our options and costs to ensure our budget was met. I do wish they had an online payment option, just as we live farther away and I always worry mailing checks- but at the end of the day it was no issue and any worry I had was answered right away with reassure or confirmation of being received! We also were able to stock the bar ourselves, which I personally really liked as we had exactly what we wanted available.
I highly recommend the Old Mill to anyone looking for a wedding venue. The staff were some of the nicest people I have met during a wedding, and they put up with my very loud, enthusiastic family with grace and professionalism. Not to mention the venue itself is nothing short of stunning! Thank you again to the Old Mill and Conner Catering! -

Beautiful venue and amazing staff
The Old Mill and Conner Catering did an incredible job making our wedding day so special and memorable. After 2 date changes in 2020, they worked so hard to help us have the wedding we always wanted- from extra tents and outdoor dinner, safety protocols, professionalism, and a number of meetings, we had the best day. The Old Mill is a beautiful space and we can't say enough good things about Conner Catering's team and staff. Recommend 10/10 ! -

I've been fortunate enough to attend a couple weddings here and have fallen in love with its vaulted ceilings, wooded outdoor area, and old stone. My photos don't do it justice, but the caterer did a great job integrating their setup and taking advantage of the natural beauty of the venue. I can't wait to see the progressional photos! -

Venue of my dreams
My husband and I got married this August (2020) at the Old Mill. I couldn't say enough how amazing our day was. The venue itself is absolutely gorgeous, and has a great alternate plan for inclement weather (the pavilion is GORGEOUS!). The food is just AMAZING -- I am vegan but my husband is not, so we had a mixture. Vegans and non vegans alike said all of the food was amazing! They even had vegan snacks waiting for me in the bridal suite. They definitely make their couples feel special!! The service staff was incredibly friendly and professional! They allow you to supply your own alcohol which helps you save some money too! We communicated mostly with Donald and Taylor. Donald is very detail-oriented and efficient - he made sure everything went smoothly and was great about talking through our options when we had to rework our original 130-guest wedding plan due to the pandemic. Taylor is super responsive and friendly -- I emailed her millions of questions and she was always so great and informative in her responses! Conner Catering put extensive care and effort into making our event safe amidst the pandemic. Our event was held completely outdoors aside from the restrooms (guests had to wear face coverings to go inside for the bathroom), masks and hand sanitizer were stationed throughout, and ceremony and reception seating was spaced at least 6 feet apart. We reduced our guest count to less than 50 people, and Conner was so flexible with all of our changes. I would not change a thing about our wedding experience, and we are so grateful to Conner Catering and the Old Mill for making our day so special! -

Conner Catering provided a 5 star experience for my daughter’s wedding ceremony & reception. The staff is professional, courteous, and attentive ... providing a top notch experience for all. The food was exceptional too!! The bride & groom had a wedding to cherish for years to come!! -

I cannot say enough good things about The Old Mill. Without a doubt, this was one of the best choice we made. During the entire process, Don and Taylor of Conner Catering were amazing. When we first toured the Old Mill and met with Don, he was very helpful. My family has very little experience planning weddings, so he helped guide us. After we booked, Taylor and Don were great with details and giving us suggestions. Without their expertise, the wedding would not have gone as well as it did.
The day of the wedding, things got a little messed up because 95 was shut down-- delaying the wedding party 1.5 hours. Don was very flexible and made sure everything was okay to extend an hour.
The food was AMAZING. We received so many compliments about the food. During the process, we were worried about staying under budget for food, but still having a tasty meal. Don was very aware of our budget and made sure we got the best possible meal. Everything is very customizable, so you do not sacrifice quality at all.
Without a doubt, this was the best choice we made and are so grateful to Conner Catering and the Old Mill! Amazing food and an amazing team! The venue photographs beautifully and is magical. Great indoor space and amazing outdoor space. Book this place! -

Words truly can not express our gratitude for the service that Don, Taylor, and their team provided for our special day. They exhibited extreme professionalism throughout the entire planning process, and the day of the wedding, to make this the best day of our lives. From answering my million questions to providing great ideas while planning, their team was unmatched...they almost treated us like their own family members. People were RAVING to us about the food and the venue and how beautiful everything was. Not only that but everything was PERFECTLY on time. We had so much time to dance and have fun :). I am so thankful we chose Conner Catering and The Old Mill for our wedding day.

We cannot say enough about the Conners and this venue. From the very first moment we knew we were in good hands. They were top notch, yet affordable. High standards, but flexible with letting us change things up and bring in our little touches. The wait staff and vendors were cherished by our guests- they were professional, trustworthy and good-hearted people. It was clear how happy they were for us.
Our entire event turn-keyed around what and who Don Conner recommended. We call him the David Foster of the southeastern Pennsylvania catering world. He brought gifted artists together for us and arranged the evening like a piece of music. From the first moment we sat down with him he paved the way for a reassuring and enjoyable process. The venue has two equally beautiful outdoor areas and two indoor areas, so even though it rained for our wedding, it didn't feel like we were cheated.
This magical place proves the expression that 'good begets good'. The Conners have brought together something very sweet and rare here in Rose Valley. They make magic happen in this Robin Hood glen tucked away from the world around it. Wishing we could do it all over again!The Old Mill's reply:

This venue is gorgeous beyond all belief! Loved my indoor wedding and the cocktail hour outside in the pavilion! Our guests were so impressed with the area and some asked me for their info so they could look into having their wedding here too! Catering was PHENOMENAL!!! -

Shannon Sent on 11/10/2013We cannot thank you guys enough for all you did to make our wedding day absolutely perfect. From the food to the professional staff, we couldn't have been happier! We are still smiling!
We chose to get married on 11/8/13 in the stunning courtyard with the faux ceiling and stone arches. It was BEAUTIFUL, but, a little chilly. Without asking, Jeanne and Don put a cute little cart filled with hot apple cider and ginger snaps by the entrance to the venue. Our guests LOVED it! They also went around to our guests with special dietary needs and prepared special meals for them. Our niece and nephews even got chicken fingers and fries - they were in heaven!
The bar staff was fabulous and the service was impeccable! Lena, Mike and Dion especially stood out. But, everyone was outstanding (I just couldn't remember all of their names).
The bamboo garden was a HUGE hit with the family and photographer. Cocktail hour, under the tent, was decorated beautifully. Our guests couldn't stop raving about the appetizers. And, the portions were incredible! They went in for dinner and didn't realize they were getting more food!
We seriously cannot thank you enough for making our day perfect. Bravo to The Old Mill, Conner Catering, Fresh Florist Designs and Doughmain Bakery! But, especially to Jeanne and Don Conner. -

The staff was very attentive and on the ball with everything. I have received rave reviews from the guests about how amazing our wedding was and how smooth everything progressed through the day. User2433426 Sent on 11/18/2015Our wedding at The Old Mill was fantastic. Conner Catering did all of the event handling for The Old Mill, they have an exclusive contract with the place. The food was absolutely amazing, when we met with them they told us that the last thing we would have to worry about was the food and they were right, everything tasted fantastic. We were given hundreds of appetizer choices and dozens of entrees with plenty of additional stations as well as able to add other dishes as we wished. There was not a tasting before the wedding but the food was still nonetheless fantastic. We did ours family style which actually was really enjoyed by everyone present. It gave guests the choice to have both the chicken and the beef with as much or as little of each or of the sides as they wanted. Conner Catering also offered additional of any of the foods to any table that wanted more. The butlered appetizers and the appetizer station were both amazing with the trays coming out one after another. We had 3 dessert stations including an ice cream bar (with tons of toppings) and an outdoor S'mores bar that was amazing! The venue was gorgeously set up with beautiful lighting and table linens. The majority of the staff working there were incredibly pleasant and helpful. We bought and supplied the alcohol for the event which gave us the ability to choose what we wanted, and Conner Catering provided all of the mixers we requested. The grounds are amazing for photos, this saved us the issue of having to go anywhere else to take photos. It ended up being around 115 per person plus the cost of the hall and extra rentals (tent, heaters, lights). -

Lindsay Sent on 05/29/2011We absolutely loved the Old Mill! It was so beautiful and was exactly the setting we wanted for our outdoor ceremony. Despite the rain, we were still able to hold our ceremony in the picturesque courtyard and everything turned out wonderful. Don Conner and the staff at the Old Mill was great to work with and handled everything so well. He was very open to our suggestions and really helped to plan the perfect evening. Our guests loved everything about the Old Mill and so many people asked how I found it since it such a hidden gem. -
Emily Sent on 07/17/2018Overall, we absolutely loved our experience with The Old Mill! It's not a cookie cutter place and you won't get a cookie cutter experience either. They won't give you a solid price and there are no packages so you can really do whatever and they try to work with your budget. For everything I wanted I guess it ended up being a bit more expensive than I budgeted for but our wedding ended up being so amazing so I didn't mind and I think it was worth it. Donald was a pleasure to work with and he mainly communicates by text and I liked that so it was a plus for me. The venue is absolutely stunning the only thing that disappointed me is you can't have any live music (using an amp) during the cocktail hour (if you choose to do it outside on the pavilion). We wanted to have a live acoustic guitarist before the ceremony and during the cocktail hour but due to noise constraints it wasn't really working. We still had them play during cocktail hour but they couldn't be too loud and they kind of ended up getting lost among all of the voices of cocktail hour. I guess it's the price you pay for getting married in such a natural and quiet place. We got married in the grove and it was gorgeous and we literally had such an amazing perfect day. Kasey Sent on 08/03/2016The Old Mill is a wonderful venue for any wedding. The venue speaks for itself and allows for a lot of DIY so you can make it what you want. Honestly you do not have to do too much decorating to make the day wonderful. The Old Mill uses Conner Catering and let me tell you how fantastic Don Conner (owner) and the team are. From the beginning Don answered all my crazy questions either through email, over the phone or by text message. Don's sense of humor keeps you relaxed through the whole process and he is always willing to do what you want at a budget that fits you. I had a hard time finding a venue that would work in my budget. Don and Conner Catering were the only people that would work with me. Don and his team made sure to make my dream a reality. The day of the wedding they had one person dedicated to my husband and I to make sure we ate and were happy. The guests raved about the food, venue and service. If you have a specific dream wedding in mind Don, his team and the Old Mill will make it happen!
