  Cindy is Wonderful.

  This venue was an absolute godsend. We were able to bring in all of our own vendors, allowing us to shop around and get the best price we could. We were able to have a open bar in the cheapest way possible, by buying all of the alcohol ourselves at Costco or during Bevmo sales, and then hiring a bartender to serve it.
  
  Cindy was an absolute delight to work with. The fact that they trust you with their keys, and with their entire facility for a day or two, makes it feel like a huge responsibility, but Cindy is so laid back and trusting about it! I ended up a little too drunk at the end of my wedding night and was worried (because I didn't get to do a walk through myself) that we left the place a mess. We had lots of great vendors to help us clean up, but I couldn't help but worry. I emailed Cindy the monday morning after the wedding to make sure everything was in order, and she said everything was perfect and we'd be receiving our full refundable deposit by the end of the week!
  I highly recommend this venue, as long as you're going to treat Cindy and the venue with the respect they deserve! ❤️

  Cindy the Great!

  Our wedding day was definitely one that we will forever look back upon and tell our children and grandchildren about for generations to come. The #WoolseyFire broke out in the eve of our wedding and, come Friday morning, it had completely engulfed our beautiful city and local communities in flames and despair. On Friday morning, day of the wedding, you could imagine how chaotic it was for me and my husband to process what was going on, let alone to figure out how to salvage our ceremony and reception plans due to mandatory evacuations all throughout East Ventura County cities.
  
  Early Friday morning, my sister-in-law and brother helped me contact Cindy to figure out if our venue was safe from the fires. To our surprise, the structure was still standing but several road closures prevented us from traveling there safely. Cindy, so generously and lovingly, assured us that we would be fully refunded and wished us the best in finding a new venue (which we did, by the grace of God). All in all, it was a beautiful day and we are so grateful to Cindy for her prompt response to use regarding the venue and her safety in the midst of it all.
  
  Cindy, Wesley and I are so unbelievably grateful to you for your patience and flexibility on our wedding day. You will forever be remembered in our wedding story for generations to come.

  They were great! They allowed us to come in the day before to set up. That was a big helpc especially since I didn't have a wedding planner. It's a beautiful venue for both ceremony AND reception.

  A very nice community center where you can customize and bring in your own catering and alcohol! A venue like this is not easy to find any more. Two small dressing rooms behind the stage for the guys to use (and bathroom too) and a larger room near the ladies room for the girls. Cute patio area for a small wedding-50ish and a very roomy ballroom for dinner/dancing or an inside wedding. You will need to give a $500 security deposit (this will be cashed and then be returned two weeks after the wedding if there are no problems) and $1,000,000 Liability Insurance (under $100 at www.theeventhelper.com). NRCC has a great kitchen and two large refrigerators and a large freezer. Cindy in the office is a delight to work with. Her hours are Noon-5pm daily so don't try to reach her in the morning. Email works best. Staff will set up the tables and chairs and you do everything else. Be sure to take out all the trash at night and restack the chairs. Much prettier than your average Community Center! Ample parking on site, easy to get to off the 101 Freeway.

  North Ranch Center in Westlake Village was our reception venue. It's beautiful, clean, well managed and the person in charge, Cindy really works with you as far as set-up flexibility. We went the night before to set up free of charge. It's a very do-it-yourself type of atmosphere and you are not subject to fees for cake, alcohol etc. You just bring whatever you want and serve it more or less. They provide the tables, a small kitchen, a stage and a dance floor. The only negative(and it's a minor one) is that in addition to event insurance - which you have to purchase, you are subject to a $500 down-payment above the $1500 for the venue which you get back assuming nothing is damaged. Still waiting to hear back about that refund, but otherwise I had a very beautiful reception venue.
