The National is a hidden gem in Parkville, Missouri. If you are lucky enough to choose The National as your Ceremony and Reception sight, you are in for a great wedding planning ride - not to mention an amazingly gorgeous ceremony and reception. The National on it's own is beautiful, so additional decor is really not necessary at this classy establishment, it really does all of the work for you. The ceremony backdrop is awesome (assuming you get a good weather day) and the clubhouse is awesome! Beyond it's beaty, The National has AMAZING food! Sometimes when you think about ordering food in bulk you get a little concerned or do have many options, but that is not the case at The National. Not only do you have a variety of meal options, everything is delicious and looks and tastes like your plate was made just for you! Most importantly, the staff at The National are amazing. Jessica Retter, the event manager is AMAZING and with her help, everything is bound to go smoothly as far as your event logistics are concerned. They really have it all covered, from the pre planning to the day of details, this venue and the staff were amazing and I would recommend them to anyone! AND if I did it all over again, there is no doubt I would book The National!

The National Golf Club of Kansas City is an absolutely beautiful venue, the staff is great especially Dina, the food is delicious and the prices are very competitive with other wedding venues.

I really enjoyed having my May 7 wedding here and I highly recommend it.

Working with Dina at the National was Amazing! I had to continually give her props for all the compliments I received about our wedding. The staff was very helpful, courteous, professional, and most of all FUN! The costs were very comparable to other venues and since it was an "all-in-one" sort of venue it made everything less stressful. Oh, and the food was WONDERFUL!

We were originally planning on booking for the 24th of May, but a day before we came in to book someone else booked it, so we had to bump our day to Sunday. In the end, it turned out great and we got a little bit of a discount because of the mishap so it all worked out! The venue is beautiful and very reasonably priced, but the coordination with the employees was semi disorganized.

This venue is absolutely beautiful, and the food is delicious. We had our ceremony and reception here, loved it all. Jessica, the coordinator was very helpful with everything. The food is great, couldn't have asked for anything better, plus the staff was all very friendly and easy going, would definitely recommend, if you're looking for a venue that's already gorgeous and doesn't need a lot of decorations, for a good price, i'd definitely recommend. plus you can use the golf course for some beautiful pictures.

I’ll start with the food- amazing! We ordered a carving station and heavy appetizers, which can be pricier than plated dinners or buffets. I wanted people to sit where they wanted to sit, and be able to get up and mingle. We had a great variety of food, hot foods were hot, cold foods cold, and everyone couldn’t stop raving about it, during the reception and for some time after, too. Having the ceremony and reception at the same venue was really important to me. The setup was outside for ceremony, mostly inside for reception, with dancing back outside. Some things I know from experience- We had approx. 130 guests, and IMO and talking to some girlfriends after, it was too tight. The tables were too close and hard to move between. A party of 80-ish would be much better for the space. You would need extra lighting for sure. The lights from the back porch area are not enough to provide light on the uncovered portion of the patio. Some things that should and could have been different: The communication between the events coordinator and the rest of the staff seemed to be next to none. We ended up having an all-day bridal consultant, when I was told she was there to stock our drinks while we were getting ready. She seemed to not have all the information about my day that would have made her much more useful. She came to me while I was eating during the reception twice, to ask me about the bill. That was inappropriate, and I still don’t know what she wanted that evening. We had a set amount for the bar tab, and would she have been clued in prior, she wouldn’t have had to come to me. Our cake was thrown out the morning after. We had asked for it to be boxed up, but apparently this was miscommunicated. IMO you would get the best service there if you were a “member” of the golf course. There were men on the balcony, watching our ceremony, sitting in our reception area, one came in to use OUR bar and the kicker was when an intoxicated member had his young daughter come up and d
