Our wedding at this venue was absolutely wonderful. The cabin was spacious and beautiful, giving us the rare opportunity to have our entire bridal party and both sets of parents stay together for the weekend. It created such a warm, memorable atmosphere and made everything feel so special.
Even when the weather forced us to move our ceremony from outside to inside, the transition was handled seamlessly. The indoor space was stunning, and everything came together effortlessly, allowing us to truly enjoy the moment without stress.
We could not be happier with our experience and are so grateful we chose this venue. It was the perfect setting for our wedding, and we would highly recommend it to any couple looking for a beautiful, welcoming place to celebrate their day.

The Mustard Seed Venue was breathtaking for our intimate wedding. If the Bride and Groom want the wedding to reflect their personality, this is the place to be!
The Mustard Seed Venue allowed us to plan EVERYTHING. From the ceremony spaces, items on the menu to the tiny decor details. The autumn ambiance of the outdoor and indoor areas were so beautiful by itself, that it needed minimal decor. We were able to host an evening ceremony in the backyard, the reception in the dinning hall and had our families lodging all in one cabin.
Our family complimented on the beauty of the wedding and their unforgettable stay at The Vieux. Our families felt comforted and at home.
Over a year and a half of planning, Mrs. Tanner(property owner) guided us every step of the way. For every question, Mrs. Tanner was always available to offer multiple resources to make our dream wedding come true. Mrs. Tanner was attentive and exceptionally understanding.
The Mustard Seed Venue is one-of-a-kind and we recommend it to all future wedding couples. Our review comes from a place of appreciation and gratitude. If we had to replan the wedding all over, we would choose the Mustard Seed Venue every time! -

The best wedding location
The Mustard Seed is incredible. They will go above and beyond for their guest. We had a wedding of around 70 people and many stayed on the property in the other cabins. My entire family has nothing but incredible things to say about the owners. They were so quick to respond when we needed anything. The property is absolutely beautiful and the cabins are very well taken care of. We couldnt have asked for better. Our wedding was everything we imagined and more. 100% recommend over and over again! The folks at the Mustard Seed venue are an absolute God send. They were quick to reply and made our big day special. Beautiful venue with tons of areas to take stellar pictures after the ceremony. An absolutely wonderful experience
It’s tough to sum up feelings that can’t be explained. When you are getting married the last thing you want is to be second guessing anything and the first thing you want is reliability. The Mustard Seed not only was the most beautiful location that we could have ever planned for our elopement but with the support of Mary Kate and Katheryn it became an experience that far exceeded our expectations. From the moment we arrived at our truly unique cabin, with breathtaking views, we knew that we had made the absolute right decision about where to share our vows. Mary Kate truly takes the cake in defining the term wedding coordinator and we couldn’t have been more thankful. Thank you so much, from the bottom of our hearts, for everything you did for us, small and large. I recently had the honor of marrying a couple at the Mustard Seed this past weekend. The Mustard Seed Venue was a breathtaking choice for the couple that I married to take in the scenery of these views. Behind the scenes, the information that merged to be communicated was quickly responsive and they were forward-delivering, providing my couple amazing customer service every step of the way. There wasn't much that I had to do that wasn't already finished. The quality of their work and the value they provided was truly invaluable - the venue had ample space all the guests, even extra cabins to change clothes, feel a refreshing breeze, and to sit on a porch and have coffee, all while taking in the amazing wide mountain views that words can't even do justice. Not even the great Bob Ross could attempt to capture what I saw on canvas. The grounds were impeccably groomed and well-maintained, and you could just feel the heavenly vibes throughout the entire property. The team at The Mustard Seed Venue were always present without being intrusive when we needed anything, even attaining supplies they hadn't thought to bring themselves. I'm so grateful for their contributions for making the couple that I married, have a miraculous special day even more perfect than they expected. The Mustard Seed Venue
I wish everyone could find a venue as good as this one! Having grown up visiting Pigeon Forge for my entire life, I couldn’t imagine a better place to get married. I found The Mustard Seed venue and knew it would be perfect. If you live the Smoky Mountain cabin aesthetic then you will want to book this venue NOW!!
Not only are the owners so helpful, they will do anything they can to make your day special! They came to check on us, helped us find everything we needed, and gave us well wishes and prayers we so appreciated!
The venue itself is amazing! Again, think of the epitome of a cabin in Pigeon Forge with a great view of the mountains and you’ve got the Mustard Seed. The overlook in which we did the ceremony was just beautiful! The cabin that we stayed in and had our reception at was equally as spectacular! With the cabin being only a few minutes from the strip, your guests can stay anywhere and still be close!
Book this venue!! You will not regret it and your day will be everything you dreamed of and more!

I am Mr. Wedding and I have to say that The Mustard Seed Venue is truly a breathtaking location with so much to offer. The staff is lovely, and the options for the ceremony are endless. I've had the pleasure of officiating seversl weddings there, and it was nothing short of magical. The bluff overlooking the mountain landscape is definitely a showstopper! Communication with Kathryn was super easy. She was always available via phone/text. Cabin was exactly as advertised. The view was amazing. We stayed in Kiss the Clouds and that name is perfect. We can't wait to come back and stay again.
The grassy area where we did our vow renewal was a short walk from our cabin. Loved the convenience of that. -

When my husband and I were talking about getting married, we were deciding between eloping, or something intimate and personal. We landed on doing a small ceremony with family and a few close friends. We have a friend/mentor who is a pastor downtown, so he married us at his church, and then we came back to The Mustard Seed for an intimate dinner reception and photos. I told my husband that if we were going to have a wedding, I want the reception to be one big family dinner. This space was perfect for that! It was big enough for our combined family and some friends around 70 people, and we even had space for first dances! The kitchen was perfect for cooking large amounts of food, and the beautiful large tables fit 30 people total, with additional seats in the kitchen and some extra tables in storage. If weather permitted, we would've used the beautiful outdoor space. This a a perfect location for photos with the mountains in the background. Even using the deck on the house makes for a beautiful photo. Kathryn and crew were so helpful and responsive to our needs. More than willing to help us with any needs and/or confusion that came up! A wonderful host and lovely lady. I would highly recommend this venue in a heartbeat.
*I believe there is now grass where the hay is in our photos. We were there in the off season. -

90 Guest Summer Wedding at The Vieux
We had a very successful 90 guest summer wedding at The Vieux and it was absolutely beautiful! The views from the cabins deck were amazing as well as the ceremony area up on the hill. The owners are very accommodating and willing to help with anything that they can to ensure your big day is special. The cabin was beautiful, clean, spacious, and stocked with the majority of needs. We were also able to rent most of the other cabins on the property which was so nice to have close family and the wedding party be onsite. I am so grateful to have had my wedding here!
Only things to note:
- Maintaining and storing enough ice for coolers and drinks was a challenge.
- The Vieux and ceremony area were indeed within walking distance, however it was up a gravel hill so keep that in mind for telling guests what shoes and attire to wear. We ended up renting golf carts last minute to bring guests back and forth.
I truly enjoyed having an outdoor wedding at this venue and would choose to stay and host here again and again.The Mustard Seed's reply:

We are so glad that your wedding stay was so wonderful!! I am happy that we were able to meet you in person after being able to talk with you and your mom often prior to your wedding. It was always fun to hear the latest plans for your special day. Your entire family was so sweet!!! We have since purchased an 11 person golf cart, named Lucy, so that guests can rent her along with a driver for their weddings if they want that as an option to driving their own cars up or walking. As far as the ice chests and coolers, thanks for bringing this up, we will work on something more permanent for future guests.
We'd love to have you back for your anniversary or just a regular vacation rental in the future.

The sweetest and most thoughtful couple ever. Kathrine made the experience so enjoyable. Her willingness to go above and beyond for our family was greatly appreciated. Wendell is a wonderful man who takes great pride in their cabins. We couldn't have asked for a better place to have our daughters wedding. Very wonderful experience. It was a dream come true. The momma bear and her cubs who came to bathe in the pond were a delight. Beware though, keep your distance and admire from a distance. Gorgeous views and cabin(s). -

My husband and I are so happy to have chosen The Mustard Seed as our wedding venue. For reference we had around 65 guests. Our bridal party stayed in the main house and many of our family and guests stayed on the property as well. The owners Kathryn and Wendell were incredibly accommodating and flexible. They worked with us in so many different areas, they were available when we had questions or needed support with something and we just can't say enough great things about them. The property is clean and well taken care of and they've recently made a lot of upgrades. We loved every minute of having our friends and family here from Thursday to Sunday, it was perfect. Highly recommend!
If you are planning to have a wedding here, DO IT! We recently had a destination wedding here and it was amazing. The views were beautiful and everything went so smoothly. A dream come true. Additionally, Mary Kate and Kathryn were amazing to work with an extremely accommodating. They have additional cabins for a normal vacation stay as well and we have stayed at 2 of the smaller cabins on separate occasions. 100/10 recommend. -

This venue was an answer to prayer, the perfect place to have my smaller wedding with a rustic family gathering vibe. The Vieux doubles as an Airbnb and wedding venue, which was the ideal space for my wedding since my family was from out of town. Knowing that I was paying one price for lodging for my family and a wedding venue all in one was a major source of peace of mind. It was so wonderful not worrying about having to book two different venues for the ceremony and reception! Not to mention how beautiful both the cabin and grounds are! We were going to have our ceremony on top of the mountain with the mountain views in the background but the uncertainty of the weather influenced our decision to have it down at the cabin instead. We did take our couple portraits at the top of the mountain with the views though!
The Vieux has so many options - inside and outside - for both ceremony and reception locations (if weather doesn't look like it will cooperate!) Having those options was amazing, as well as the host's communication, responsiveness and willingness to help at every step of the process - also an answer to prayer. Kathryn was a phenomenal host and I highly recommend her and her venue! She helped us so much, kept in constant communication whenever I had questions or needed any kind of help. It all culminated in the most beautiful and special day that my husband and I could imagine. We will always look back on our wedding with the sweetest memories - all made possible by Kathryn and The Vieux. It truly did feel like our home away from home! -

The beautiful Vieux was breathtaking! It was so cozy and was perfect to accommodate all of us. I am an outdoor person and so I was right at home. Katherine and Wendell were so helpful and I felt like I’ve known them for years. They were also helpful because we live in Buffalo NY, and they helped us so much with other planning and recommendations etc. It took so much stress off of us.
Since I love cooking and baking, it was my dream kitchen and pantry! I wish I could bring it home with me! I brought homemade cookie dough that I made at home to bake there. I also brought a frozen homemade wedding cake and frosting to finish the job over there in their absolutely cozy pantry! Baking the cookies there with my other daughter, who was the maid of honor, made it a very, very memorable family time for me. I will cherish the memories that we had there forever from the day before the wedding all the way to the day after the wedding! The weather also cooperated perfectly! The day was just so blessed! Thank you so much for these cherished memories.

We rented The Vieux for my daughter's wedding welcome cookout and wedding reception. It allowed us to stay on the same grounds which was so convenient. I'll start with how wonderful it was working with Kathryn as a host. She was extremely responsive anytime we had questions. The house is beautiful and the location is perfect. A cold front came through the night before the wedding and made the temps perfect for the outdoor firepit to be utilized during the cookout and the reception. We easily accommodated 60 guests comfortably with the amount of space we had. The cabin had everything we needed and it was the most perfect week for my daughter and her husband. Y’all where do I even begin?! From the moment I booked with Kathryn I knew I made the right decision in choosing my wedding venue. The customer service was top tier. From checking in multiple times months prior to the wedding and the communication the week of the wedding I was so thankful we chose The Vieux. There was a winter storm coming the Monday before our Friday wedding. Kathryn made sure to check in that we had the appropriate vehicles and supplies to get to the cabin initially. She and her husband came out to pour salt on the driveway, make sure we were set and checked in multiple times. I am so so grateful for their communication and hospitality. Now on to the actual cabin… WOW. Pictures will not do this place justice. It is extremely accommodating for large parties, it is so cozy and there’s plenty to do when stuck inside and hiding from the cold weather. We had 16 adults stay in the cabin and it never felt like we were on top of each other. As for our big day- There are multiple areas you can utilize for your event. We chose the wooded area right outside the back door and it was gorgeous. We had 30 guests total attend the wedding and it was the perfect size for our group. There are also so many tables, desks, chairs, etc., to utilize and help your vision come to life which helped us keep our cost down on extra rentals through a vendor. Even through the stress of the winter storm, vendors having to cancel, uncertainties if our guests could make it up the driveway- it turned out perfect and more beautiful than I could ever imagine. If you’re thinking of booking for a vacation or an event… just do it! You will not regret it. -

Wow! What an incredible experience being married here on top of a mountain! The views are breathtaking! The entire experience was so easy. We had an entire weekend party in the cabin. My entire family was either dancing, playing one of their many games they have in the cabin, playing pool, eating at the large wood tables, or relaxing in the hot tub. We grilled outside on our first night and had a large catered reception (with Kathryn’s recommendation of Ana Ronel catering.) it was absolutely incredible. I planned the entire wedding with her help while I was in Charlotte, NC. Never once seeing it in person prior. I cannot express how much I recommend this wedding venue. Not to mention the cost saved by having some guests stay at the cabin. It was worth every penny and more! -

If you’re thinking about having a more intimate wedding this is the place to go! We were able to come check the cabin out two times before check in and we were able to check in early. 10/10 recommend and would stay here again! -

Perfection from start to finish.
The cabins, amenities, and view are fantastic. Location is very close to the main drag but private at the same time. Our wedding party, make-up and hair artist, and photographer all loved the cabins and what they had to offer. -

Amazing space, Amazing owners
Throughout the entire process, Kathryn was an attentive and responsive owner. The property itself is spacious and beautiful and Kathryn was supportive of us customizing the space for the particular needs of our wedding. Additionally, the beds upstairs are incredibly comfortable, we had a 70 year old and 90 year old having the best nights sleep they’ve ever had.
One suggestion on travel to the cabin, take Pine Mountain Rd to Gibson Hollow Lane to get there. That’s the easiest way to get there.
Also, whether you’ll need the gazebo or not, take a trip up. The view from there is simply amazing!

Amazingly stress free!
My wedding day was made perfect thanks to Kathryn. She worked with me to insure everything I needed was available in order to have a stress free wedding day. I rented out 2 small cabins, 1 medium cabin, and the large cabin. My wedding was held at the top of the mountain which we could all walk to. My reception was at the large cabin. There was plenty of room for everyone and it was a blast. Very close to town but it had the feel of being isolated. Very clean. Everything was in working order and she always replied to me quickly if I needed anything. Highly recommend for any occasion. Can’t wait to go back!The Mustard Seed's reply:

This property was unbelievable for our wedding! We were married in the gazebo on the property that had stunning views of the Smoky Mountains. The house has a nature trail that you can walk to the wedding from the house. The kitchen was stocked with everything you can imagine with wrap around decks that overlook the Smoky Mountains for relaxation. My sons jazz band played in the cathedral ceiling living room with plenty of dancing room for all guests. There is electric outlets at the gazebo for a small band to play. This property was perfect and the host Kathryn was very nice and helped us with any questions we had. I would highly recommend this property! -
