Awesome DJ!

My husband and I hired Blake (DJ Stickyboots) for our wedding and absolutely loved him! We purchased the Platinum package plus Ceremony add-on. Blake was great at communication, super organized, flexible, and an all-around awesome DJ. He offered great guidance and recommendations with our DJ-related needs, and his reception mixing was amazing. He kept our dance floor full the whole night! We had several of our guests compliment us on our DJ. It was one aspect of our wedding we were particular about, and we couldn't be happier that we went with Blake and the Platinum package (we originally thought we'd do Gold but decided to upgrade). Blake also rolled super well with the punches when I asked for a couple last minute changes a day or two before the wedding. In the words of my husband "he's a cool guy," and we'd 100% recommend Blake!

Must Have This DJ For Your Wedding!

I could not recommend Blake enough! He was the DJ for our wedding and our guests continue to talk about how great our music was. We did not stop dancing the entire evening! Blake was professional, prepared, and clearly experienced. He thought of every detail and asked questions to prepare for things I didn’t even think of. The day of the wedding, I didn’t have to think about our schedule at all because Blake kept us on schedule and directed our guests flawlessly. Invest in a quality DJ and it will make a world of a difference on your day!

AMAZING Experience for our wedding reception!!

Hiring Blake (DJ Sticky Boots) was the best decision we made for our wedding day. Curating a great playlist felt so overwhelming, but he made the entire process so seamless and easy, and was super easy to talk to! Our dance floor was filled the entire night, and so many of our guests told us that it was the best wedding they had ever been to - We have Blake to thank for that! We could not recommend his services enough!!

Oh What a Night!

We cannot recommend the Music Place enough! Blake was responsive, professional, and friendly from the start. He helped us refine the order of events for our day during the planning process, and executed everything perfectly on our wedding day. The BEST wedding DJ

Blake (DJ Sticky Boots) is the BEST. From coordinating the reception flow to keeping the dance floor going all night - I could not ask for better. He was very thorough in prep before the wedding and the reception went seamlessly due to him. The music was so fun all night with the dance floor packed the entire time. Hire blake

I do not have enough words to profess how incredible Blake was as our DJ. During the planning process he was extremely relatable, fun , and respectful of our wishes. He made great recommendations and eased any concerns we had about our big day. He also took the time to respond to us while he was on vacation and sent us an advanced shortened version of our first dance song so that we could practice our first dance.

On the day of, Blake blew EVERYONE away. My husband was very concerned about the size of my dress while dancing so Blake ran us through the song early so we could practice before the reception began. His instincts as a DJ were SPOT-ON! Every song he played in the order he played them contributed to the absolute best party. Our tastes are a little all over the place (country, classic rock, oldies) and Blake was able to mix them all in and give us a night to truly remember. He was fantastic on the aux during introductions and kept our rowdy crowd going for hours and hours. What might've been most impressive is that he managed to get all 200 guests out of the ballroom in less than two minutes so that we could have our "last dance".

We have received nothing but rave reviews from our guests and my husband and I still talk weeks later about how incredible Blake was. An amazing surprise is that he's very active on social media and took a ton of pictures and videos of the dance floor throughout the night that we'll now get to keep forever! Do not hesitate for a SECOND to hire Blake - it'll be one of the best choices you make for your wedding day. We truly could not have imagined the night without him!!!

Best Wedding DJ EVER!!

I had Blake as my DJ for my wedding in June 2024 and have nothing but great things to say! He was thoughtful and attentive during the planning process and helped us make decision and with any questions we had. I was changing things a few days before and he listened and executed my changes. When it came to wedding day it was everything I could have asked for! Our dance floor was PACKED all night and I got countless compliments on our DJ after our wedding. Blake is wonderful - I would highly highly recommend his serves to anyone!

September Celebration Jordan Year!

There aren't enough adjectives to describe the incredible job Blake does. Not only did we have a Sunday wedding but we didn't have a ton of guests and you would have thought you were at the party of the year thanks to DJ Sticky Boots. He controlled the vibe and played all the hit songs to get the people going. We appreciated our pre-wedding meetings with Blake and all we told him was that we trust him on what he plays. Blake didn't let us down whatsoever. He played off the speeches well, was fun, energetic, funny, and so kind to everyone who went up to him requesting songs throughout the night. DJ Sticky Boots is the absolute best and we are so grateful of all he did to prep for our wedding; it truly was a dream!!

Amazing DJ!

Amazing Experience

DJ sticky boots went above and beyond for our wedding. He had three different locations throughout the night that he had to play music at and never missed a beat on playing the music and being very organized. Intentional & heartfelt

I can’t say enough good things about Blake! From start to finish my wedding was absolutely beautiful and the music really made the day. The ceremony music was absolutely beautiful and my parents couldn’t stop talking about how easy everything flowed between songs as people were sitting, to bridal party music, to me walking down the aisle, and to my husband and I making our exit! Our reception was AMAZING! Blake made our entrances SO MUCH FUN! A member of our bridal party was a bit more shy than others and it was so much to hear that he was actually dancing while entering the reception hall. Likewise, Blake made sure that our walk in music was full of life and every second was intentional. For our parent dances, Blake cut the songs down so the most meaningful parts of the songs were present and we were able to complete all 3 dances in a reasonable amount of time. My family loves to dance and they kept Blake busy all night long! My uncle raves about Blake when he found out he had a 90’s Chicago rap song on vinyl instead of the computer. My whole family enjoyed the entire mix that Blake had put together for our wedding and needless to say we tore up the dance floor! I cannot recommend Blake & The Music Place enough. They catered to our every need and made sure our day was exactly what we wanted and more. From multiple meetings and phone calls to the kindest emails, The Music Place, and Blake especially, are the most professional and kindhearted individuals who are passionate about their field. Thank you Blake for making our day so so wonderful!

SO amazing!

I cannot recommend Blake (DJ Sticky Boots) from The Music Place enough!! From the moment he started playing music at our wedding, our dance floor was absolutely packed. He was so attentive to what genre's the crowd was responding well to and kept the party going all night...literally. At the end of the night all 300 people at my wedding were chanting "One more song!" because we didn't want the dancing to end! He also made the night so smooth with all of his announcements and kept everyone up to date on what was happening. Best DJ For the Job!!

Blake (DJ StickyBoots) and The Music Place team are hands down the best wedding DJ's in the area! They do not overbear you with planning, but more guide you through the process.

We did not want your typical wedding DJ and Music and Blake knew that, and planned accordingly. We had countless people at the wedding come up to us and compliment his professionalism and the way he adapted to the temperature in the room (which with our crowd was 90% all out party!). In the end, it was an all out party when we wanted it to be and a nice contemporary evening early on when we wanted it to be as well.

There is no better value or quality you will find than this place! Thank you so much again!!

The Music Place is Awesome

We hired The Music Place to DJ our wedding, and Blake did an amazing job! He was super helpful throughout the planning process in the months leading up to our wedding, especially when we needed to change venues due to Covid. At our reception, he kept the night moving along smoothly, and even helped our family surprise us with a flash mob and a live performance by my sister. The dance floor was packed all night, and the music was great. So many of our guests have reached out to us since the wedding to say how awesome our DJ was. We highly recommend The Music Place. Blake was a huge part of making our wedding an unforgettable experience.

Look No Further for Your Wedding DJ

The Music Place provided DJ services for our recent wedding and we cannot recommend their brand enough. We worked with the incredible Blake Eckelbarger (DJ Sticky Boots) who made the entire process seamless from start to finish. Communications were always easy and quick. It is clear that Blake runs a well-established business that knows how to work with clients and take the pressure off of wedding couples. A True DJ Professional

If you are looking for a great DJ for any event, I recommend Blake (aka DJ Sticky Boots) @ The Music Place DJ, Inc.

My now wife and I got married end of August. We had a lot of logistics to figure out in the weeks leading up to our wedding in the midst of COVID. While we love dancing along with all our friends and families, we did not have the capacity to plan all the details regarding music.

Blake was awesome. He provided incredible guidance on general timeline of events for the wedding, and great music recommendations for the ceremony and all parts of the reception. In planning for the wedding, sometimes you just need options to choose from instead of having to come up with the ideas yourself. And he knows that and helps you through that process.

When it came to the wedding day, neither my wife or I were concerned about sound, music, or him as an entertainer. We had full confidence in him because of his many years of experience and how easy it was to communicate with him leading up to our wedding day. Everything worked perfectly and sounded awesome (even my family’s flash mob dance to Stupid Love by Lady Gaga).

He may not know this yet, but after the wedding my wife and I got rave reviews from everyone at our wedding about our incredible DJ. He knows how to keep a party going. Songs flow easily from one to the next and are great dance songs to keep the dance floor full.

If you are looking for a great DJ, DJ Sticky Boots is your man.

We had the BEST experience using The Music Place for our wedding at Oakwood Resort in Syracuse. Blake proved he was a pro from the very beginning. We had two zoom calls with him to make sure he knew our music style and must-play songs. He answered all of our questions and made the process so easy and stress-free! The Music Place was the best choice for our wedding. We literally danced until we had to leave the venue, we only wish we could’ve brought them to the bars after! Blake took our suggestions and put the songs we wanted to hear and fit them perfectly into his set. We all had a blast and people loved that we had DJ Sticky Boots! Growing up the in Mishawaka area, that was a big deal for some folks! Blake made every accommodation to help make our wedding amazing and curated the music so well to our taste. Thank you Blake!

High Energy, Organized, Truly Amazing!

I cannot describe how much I recommend Blake @ The Music Place for a DJ and MC for weddings. He was our wedding DJ on 8/1 and had the dance floor packed for 3 hours straight. Blake met with us via Skype multiple times and helped us plan a timeline while we were 17 hours away. He offered a suggestion that absolutely saved our reception and kept the vibe alive. He reads the room and knew exactly what type of music to play for your crowd. Start to finish, he was incredible.

Blake was the absolute BEST

My wife and I were referred to The Music Place by our wedding planner and we are so glad we were. From the first phone call we had with Blake we definitely came away thinking he just got our "vibe" for music for our wedding. We knew how important choosing the right DJ was for our wedding (our ceremony and reception were in the same place), Blake understood the importance of his role in making the day special. He was able to take a little bit of our tastes in music and compile a "dope playlist" (direct quote from one of our wedding guests). We got multiple compliments from guests about how awesome the music was - he played a little bit for everyone, and several people wanted to know if they could get a copy of the playlist for their own. Best Wedding DJ Ever!!

We've been to a lot of weddings with DJs that would have people on and off the dance floor all night. Blake aka "DJ Stickyboots" kept everyone dancing all night long! He played every song we asked him to, made announcements when needed, was extremely organized, and was very professional. Everyone kept telling us how great of a job he did. Amazing DJ!!

Blake aka "DJ Stickyboots" was the best DJ we could've hired. He was very helpful throughout the wedding planning process and was receptive to our ideas. The Music Place was a wonderful choice for our wedding reception DJ! Dance floor was full from the first song to the last! Just what I wanted!

DJ Sticky Boots had our guests dancing from the very first song until the very end, when a group of roughly 60 guests spontaneously circled around us for the last song. It was magical. Blake is incredibly responsive to emails, very accommodating, and really just looking to help the bride and groom create their perfect evening! We were having so much fun, the evening just flew by! Really great wedding DJ

The Music Place was an awesome choice for our wedding DJ! From the beginning, we felt comfortable working with Blake – he has a lot of experience and was very easy to work with. He helped us make the right song choices for events and made sure our timeline made sense. Blake worked with us to understand the type of artists/genres we were interested in, and he did an excellent job of working those in throughout our wedding night. Guests gave us a bunch of compliments on the music!

Awesome Experience

We had the Music Place DJ our wedding reception and we couldn't be happier. We planned our South Bend wedding from 2400 miles away in California and Blake was super flexible and accommodating when coordinating with us about our special day. We had Jeff - aka DJ Iceberg - for our reception and he was great. Jeff made announcements whenever we wanted (e.g. wedding party intros, first dance, cake cutting, etc.), and then opened the floor for a few hours of dancing. He accommodated requests from our guests, played all the songs we asked for, and played a bunch more that he knew everyone would enjoy. My husband and I found DJ Sticky Boots by listening to U93 everyday on our way to and from work. We got married in Indianapolis, so DJ Sticky Boots had to commute a couple of hours south. He was great throughout the entire planning process on giving us updates regarding our remaining balance and asked us many questions regarding numerous details we hadn't even thought of. The uplighting he provided made the entire room come to life and he always kept the party going. Everything he did for us was absolutely perfect and our guests still talk about what a fantastic job he did. I would definitely recommend The Music Place to any couple planning a wedding in the Northern Indiana area, or even the Indianapolis area, the extra travel cost was totally worth it. I was very stressed about DJ vs Band; especially since we were planning from out of town. A lot of friends had gone for a band, so I was really nervous to go the DJ route. Blake (DJ Sticky Boots) totally eased any fear or anxiety that I had after talking to him throughout the planning process. We gave him a list of do/do not play, and he totally understood what we were going through and added his own touches (it wasn't just him playing our iTunes list). People were on the dance floor all night, which was so important to us! He made the entire night flow so smoothly, kept everything running on time, and even went with the flow when my grandfather made an impromptu speech. I could not recommend him enough and hope to see him at another wedding again!

I could not have asked for a better DJ for our wedding. Blake's attention to detail was unlike anything I've seen. My wife and I had the pleasure of working with DJ Sticky Boots. He was by far the best and most valued vendor we worked with for our wedding. He walks you through the whole night and goes out of his way to do Skype conversations and phone calls so he can further get to know you and your tastes for what you are looking for. I can not speak highly enough of his work ethic and Tallent. After the reception was over, our guests could not stop ranting and raving over our DJ's skill in mixing up the beat to fit the vibe of the room and how he conjoined songs and did mashups on the spot. Our initial consultation was thorough, he responded with his complete repertoire of Wedding-related items (VERY HELPFUL!), and accommodated anything and everything we needed along the way. At our final meeting, everything was as-discussed and fully-prepared. Not surprisingly, he delivered perfectly on our big day :)

Blake was AMAZING. We were between him and another DJ, and just in a phone conversation, we immediately decided on Blake. Not only was he very responsive to our messages, but he answered every question, which showed he actually read through our emails. We chose our DJ mainly because of all of the five star reviews on Wedding Wire. I was pretty confident that dozens of ecstatic reviewers couldn't be wrong. Do not try and save money on the DJ, this is what gets the wedding started!! DJ Sticky Boots was great to work with and met all our needs for that day, when we look back at videos and pictures everyone had a smile on their face and was on the dance floor!!

Blake was amazing to work with from the beginning of the process to the wedding day. He provided us with lots of options early on and was happy to work with any special requests we had for both the ceremony and reception. Blake read our guests well and provided the right song at the right moment all night. Blake was an amazing MC and was willing to accommodate any change to the timeline throughout the day. I would highly recommend The Music Place for anyone looking for quality, professional, and caring service.

AMAZING! Blake was so great to work with. He was very accommodating to our ideas and gave us great advice on how to make our reception flow smoothly. He played a great selection of music that everyone from my younger sister to my grandma enjoyed and then played some great songs to get everyone on the dance floor and keep them there! I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a good quality DJ. I definitely tried to DIY and have friends help with the wedding to save costs but the best decision I made was to spend the money on having a fantastic DJ. Worth every penny.

Blake was an amazing vendor to work with! He was very informative and quick to respond to all of our questions. We used The Music Place for all of our music the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. Blake had the perfect music for every request we had. He did a great job of keeping our party going until the very last song. Our guests had many great things to say about our music after our wedding. The uplighting that he provided was a great addition to our wedding reception, it set a fun but elegant mood to our room. I would recommend The Music Company to everyone for all wedding DJ needs!

Blake was one of our favorite vendors to work with. He was funny, easy to talk to, and made us feel confident the day was going to go perfectly. In fact, everytime we would hangup from our Skype session we would just look at each other, smile and talk about how lucky we were to be working with him. The day went as smooth as can be and we did not have to worry about a thing. We give Blake our seal of approval and would recommend him to every one of our friends. If we could give more than 5-stars for Blake and The Music Place we would! Blake worked with us from the very beginning to answer our questions and to ensure our wedding reception was exactly how we envisioned. Blake displayed a professional atmosphere, and a solid command of the receptions flow and structure. He was interactive with both guests, and any staff he came into contact with. The Music Place had fair rates considering the high quality services they offer and we have no problems recommending them to our friends and family. Finally, the best thing we can say about this business was Blake did a stellar job creating a connection between my wife and I and making us feel completely comfortable giving our reception over to him.

My wife and I booked DJ Sticky Boots last minute and he was SO easy to work with. Very flexible on his time willing to work with our crazy schedule. His service was top if the line. Party was everything we had joped it would be. The uplighting added the perfect touch to the room and the music selection was on point. Would HIGHLY recommend him to anyone looking for an easy to work with and excellent serviced compnay.

We booked Blake “DJ Sticky Boots” with The Music Place for our Wedding Ceremony and Reception Music. Having grown up in a family that provided DJ Entertainment to other wedding couples I knew how important it can be to find the right MC to make your event unforgettable. I listened to DJ Sticky Boots growing up on the HyperMixx and really loved the excitement and passion he had for his career. We couldn’t have picked a better DJ and would recommend Blake and his company to anyone looking for a DJ for an upcoming wedding or event. Blake was very professional and responsive to all questions about our big day, and he made the planning easy and fun! We added an Up Lighting package that transformed the whole atmosphere for the venue and made all of the pictures from the night turn out amazing! Booking with Blake and The Music Place was hands down the best decision we could have made, and I would use him again in a heartbeat!! I am so glad that I hired Jeff- DJ iceberg for our wedding. He played a good variety of music that got all ages on the dance floor. All of our guests had a great time and that made our day that much more special. We were so blessed to have Jeff as our DJ. He helped make it a day that we will never forget! Blake was an amazing DJ to work with. He was very flexible and helpful in the months leading up to the wedding. Blake did both our wedding ceremony and reception and I could not be more pleased with how both turned out. He did a great job keeping the party going and helping the evening progress smoothly. The music for the dancing was perfect; we had a number of people on the dance floor. I would definitely recommend him to anyone looking for a DJ!

Blake was awesome. From the very beginning, he worked to put a truly personal touch on our wedding reception. Even though we were out of town and it was not possible for us to meet in person to discuss plans, he made a point of calling and video chatting with both of us to really get a feel for what we were going for. It was especially helpful since we were interested in a more alternative style for our reception music. Through all of our conversations, Blake was able to take our many ideas and make them work together cohesively. Even though he was not especially experienced in the area of music we were interested in, Blake put together an excellent set of music for our reception dinner that was exactly what we were looking for. Additionally, during the reception he was great at judging timing and helped everything flow beautifully the whole night. We would highly recommend him to anyone in search of a DJ!

The Music Place did an outstanding job at our wedding reception - we couldn't have asked for better! Our venue space was small, but Mr. Eckelbarger was very flexible and patient. He played the perfect music, both for dining and dancing. We do not think the dance floor was empty the entire evening! The Music Place was gracious in allowing a special, surprise dance from the bridal party. The Music Place was the most professional vendor at our wedding. He was always courteous and prompt. Considering the wonderful music The Music Place provided, the price was very affordable. We would highly recommend The Music Place for a wedding reception event!

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed working with The Music Place as the DJ for our wedding. They were very helpful and professional. They kept us in complete control of all the wedding details, but also used their professional judgement for any music-related questions/details that we weren't sure of in order to help make our wedding spectacular. Not only was the music great (good equipment as well as a terrific DJ), but we used them as our announcer/emcee as well. They were very good at reading the crowd and making decisions based on that. I had numerous compliments from our guests about how good the music and DJ were. The Music Place helped make our wedding beautiful, and everyone had a wonderful time. I can't say enough great things about The Music Place. I would definitely recommend The Music Place for anyone who is looking for a quality DJ and music for their wedding.

Working with Blake "DJ Sticky Boots" was one of the easiest tasks that we had while planning our wedding! From the very first meeting with him to the end of the reception, it was a stress free experience. He is easy to work with and very professional. We requested a seemingly complicated entrance for our large bridal party, which included different songs for each bridesmaid/groomsmen. Blake's high level of skill created a flawless entrance that was a huge hit for all of our wedding guests! We can honestly say that the entertainment provided by Blake set the tone for the rest of the evening and never disappointed. He was a huge hit!! Book your next event with Blake! I can assure you that you wont regret it!

The Music Place was awesome! Not only did Blake take the pressure out of the reception by keeping things moving and making sure we had time for everything we wanted to do, but he was able to read the attendees and play music that kept everyone dancing and having fun! He offered great suggestions during the consultation that I feel helped my wedding go smoother and made it more fun and relaxed for everyone involved. I was initially debating if I wanted dancing or not, but I am SO glad I chose to have it, and chose the Music Place, because my wedding wouldn't have been nearly as enjoyable and memorable if I hadn't gone with it. Highly recommended from me!!

My husband and I were looking for a DJ for our wedding and came across The Music Place. We had Blake, or better known as DJ Sticky Boots, as our DJ for our wedding. He was absolutely phenomenal! He was so organized, and he made sure to answer any questions we had as quickly and efficiently as he could. Although we lived outside of Elkhart during the wedding planning, he never made the distance an issue. We skyped with him about all of the "must haves" at our wedding. At the reception on the day of our wedding, he made sure to keep the reception moving in a timely manner and kept everyone out on the dance floor. Our guests had so much fun dancing and even the older people were out dancing the night away! I cannot say enough how amazing he was and how he should be utilized for anyone looking for a DJ.

Working with DJ Sticky Boots and The Music Place was such an easy and fun experience. DJ Sticky Boots did such a great job of staying in contact and getting everything done in a timely manner, and he was so organized. As the bride, I never felt stressed when it came to planning the reception music because I knew he had everything under control. DJ Stick Boots, and the Music Company provide an excellent service. Blake goes above and beyond to help you prepare for your wedding. As part 9f your sign up package he gives you a lot of information to help you think of things you may have otherwise missed. Blake was on time setup and ready to go we didn't need to worry about a thing, extremely professional. Our guests were on the dance floor all night and had a great time. My wife and I can't thank the music company enough.

The Music Place & Blake did an amazing job! Blake was timely in his response to questions & concerns. He also did the up lighting for our reception, which added that special touch to the whole decor. It was beautiful.

It was great knowing we were in very capable hands. It was one less thing we had to worry about on our big day. Our dance floor was never empty & we had many complements. I would highly recommend Blake & the Music Place for any occasion!

Once I contracted with Blake, I knew I didn't have to worry about the music!! I was right,he did a fantastic job with my daughters wedding. His ability to emcee the reception was outstanding, he kept the events on schedule and very professional. He was open to our ideas and helped incorporate them into the evening. The dance floor was always full, his music selections appealed to all age groups. The up lighting he offered looked beautiful and really complimented the venue. I would highly recommend his services!
