We received so many compliments from our guests, and everyone had an amazing time. We’ve hired several bands for different events over the years, and this band is by far our absolute favorite! The music was fantastic, the energy was perfect, and the professionalism stood out from start to finish. Even our wedding coordinator was thoroughly impressed, especially with how smooth and professional the communication was. We loved working with the Moon Units for our wedding. From the very first email Dylan was a delight to work with. Responsive, helpful, and clear. The process of song selection and playlist creation was seamless and we felt very taken care of. And on the wedding day - not enough can be said about how valuable their team was to us. They covered all the ground for us, from cueing playlists and speeches, cocktail music, to a full night of dancing, and every beat and element was incredible. The Moon Units were the best part of our dreamy desert wedding! If it wasn’t an open, outdoor wedding they would’ve torn off the roof (while respecting local sound ordinances, of course.) They have such a deep catalog of hits and did a great job balancing the set list between bangers that appealed to guests who came to dance and those who were a little bit shy. They kept the energy level over the top from cocktail hour through a windy night that would have sent many vendors packing up.
The wind knocked the venue power out halfway through the set, and they didn’t miss a beat while the venue got generators online for their electric amps. They kept the party going into the night, and looked like they were having as much fun as we were, despite falling amps and heat lamps! The guests were raving about them:
- ‘I felt like I was back in high school, dancing with reckless abandon!’
- ‘ I have never seen my parents dance, but they didn’t leave the dance floor’

You will not find a better wedding band than The Moon Units! (and it's way better than a DJ, trust). We chose them because we heard them at our friends’ wedding, and it was the best wedding band we had ever heard. They played songs that weren’t the typical songs you always hear at weddings (and get bored/sick of), and they sounded EXACTLY like the original version of the song - incredible musicians and vocals. My now husband is a former professional musician, so the music at our wedding was extremely important to us, and we knew they were the only choice.
From their communication throughout our planning, to their extensive song list, to the option for them to learn specials songs just for us (which they crushed), The Moon Units were nothing short of spectacular. They are also all very kind people, which is the cherry on top and makes such a difference on a wedding day!!
They will also be playing at another friends’ upcoming wedding soon too (that’s how impressed everyone is with them). We had so many people come up to us after our wedding to tell us the music was the best out of any wedding they have been to, and everyone had so much fun dancing! 100/10The Moon Units's reply:

The band that MADE our wedding
Do you want people to remember your wedding as the best wedding they've ever been to? BOOK THIS BAND! They were so easy to work with and ar ejack of all trades. They performed above and beyond expectations and literally everyone at our wedding mentioned how great they were. Don't even look at any other bands unless you want to book someone who is more difficult and not as good.The Moon Units's reply:

Amazing performance and value
These guys (and girls) ROCK! Not only are they extremely talented musicians (it felt less like a wedding band performance and more like a custom concert!), but they brought an unparalleled level of fun and energy to the night. They were also so easy to work with from a planning perspective. Highly highly recommend this band for any live music needs!

We couldn’t have asked for a better band for our wedding than The Moon Units. From the very first note to the final encore, they absolutely rocked our celebration and kept the dance floor packed all night long.
Their talent is undeniable—tight musicianship, incredible vocals, and a playlist that had something for everyone, from timeless classics to dance floor bangers. They read the room perfectly, ramping up the energy at just the right moments and bringing a genuine joy to every performance.

From the very beginning, Dylan was so responsive and easy to work with — he made the planning process stress-free and fun. The band’s song selection was incredible, and they sounded amazing live! So many of our guests told us it was the most fun they’ve had at a wedding. They were also super accommodating with our tricky venue restrictions, which we really appreciated. I cannot recommend the Moon Units highly enough! My wife and I hired the band to play at our wedding last fall and it was by far the BEST vendor decision we made. We felt so strongly about having live music at our reception that we based the rest of our wedding budget on what we were spending on the band and we'd do it again in a heartbeat! The Moon Units have a huge selection of music to choose from with a diversity of genres and our guests were raving about the live band karaoke at the end of the night. On top of the over 600 songs in their repertoire, they learned two songs for us, which was the icing on the cake to an already terrific experience.
Dylan was incredibly communicative throughout the entire process and the band was professional, talented, and enthusiastic. We're already looking for another event to hire them again!The Moon Units's reply:

We were absolutely delighted to have The Moon Units play our wedding at The Carondelet House on 11/16. They were the highlight of the night, and our friends continue to rave about their performance. We could not be happier with our choice. From the moment we heard them soundchecking the songs they learned specifically for our event, we knew we were in for a good night.

When I say that Dylan and the Moon Units MADE our wedding, I am not exaggerating. They not only delivered, the exceeded our already high expectations in every way possible.
Music was extremely important for my husband and me, and we knew immediately that we wanted a live band to elevate the evening. We found Dylan and the Moon Units' information online, and after finding that they were very within our budget we reached out and Dylan invited us to one of their gigs in Hollywood. We loved their vibe and booked them.
We asked Dylan to play both our ceremony and our reception, as well as play preset playlists for our pre-ceremony and cocktail hour. Now, I must admit, because music was so important for my husband and my special day, we had *very* specific ideas for what we wanted. Dylan was extremely communicative, answering all of my extremely needy and detailed emails in a timely manner and doing everything he could to reassure me that we were in good hands. We made selections from the list of songs they knew, and also asked them to learn about 10 new songs for us, ranging from unique arrangements of existing songs to deep cuts from 90's movies. Dylan's communication was warm, expeditious, and professional, and I felt really well taken care of.
At our wedding, though, is where they exceeded our expectations. The live music they played was amazing, and set the tone for our wedding in the exact way we were hoping for. At the reception, they kept the energy up with a perfectly curated playlist of our requests (and we had quite a lot!) + songs they knew would keep the party going. Their song choices appealed to the older crowd as well as the Millennial crowd. Dylan even help me set up a surprise performance for my husband, where I sang one of this favorite songs ("Go Cubs Go") with the backing of the Moon Units band. It was an incredibly special moment.
And creating special moments was what Dylan and the Moon Units did best. Somehow, they managed to keep the dance floor packed the entire evening. Months after our wedding, our guests have continuously called out Dylan and the Moon Units as an absolute highlight of our wedding, saying that it was musically one of the best weddings they have ever been to.
All-in-all, I cannot recommend Dylan and the Moon Units enough. As someone who was VERY specific about the music at my wedding, they exceeded all of our expectations. Book them for your wedding ASAP - you will not be disappointed.The Moon Units's reply:

Amazing band - so much fun!
The Moon Units made our wedding day truly spectacular! Every single guest says that a highlight of our wedding was the Moon Units. We loved how professional and flexible they were. Each member of the band is beyond talented and phenomenal. You must hire the Moon Units and I promise you will have the best event you’ve ever been to or hosted. The Moon Units performance at cocktail hour was incredible and then their performance for two dance sets was SO MUCH FUN! The bass player will even get on the dance floor and play with you which is just such a highlight! They are so versatile and know just about every song. Incredible. They can also help MC the wedding/event and that went flawlessly! It’s really amazing how they can cater to such a variety of ages/demographic with their music/vibe. Again every conversation we have about our wedding includes some glowing statement about the band. When you hire The Moon Units, you don’t have to worry about the details/setup, they are such experts at what they do. Thank you so much to the Moon Units for being a part of our big day. The Moon Units were hands down the best decision my husband and I made while planning for our wedding!! First of all, they are all incredibly talented and you can see from their performances how much they enjoy and love music and performing. That enjoyment and love for their craft definitely shined and translated to our guests!! We received and are still receiving so many compliments about how great the band was and how much fun they had dancing to their performances, but also just watching them do their magic. The Moon Units, is the one vendor that any bride and groom will not regret hiring for their big day. They really made the night lively and they really gave it their all for every song even when there were only a small number of people on the dance floor. One of the special request songs I made was Beyoncé's Love On Top and I don't even know how to explain how AMAZING Sophie sounded hitting 4 key changes!!! I was so entranced by the performance that once the song ended, I regretted not getting it on video. The Moon Units made my wedding
The Moon Units made my wedding. It all started when my wife (fiancee at the time) forwarded me an Instagram clip of them because she knew I was set on hiring a live band. I took my sweet time to cast a wide net and to follow, interview, and compare A LOT of bands. We went out to watch our top two choices and when we saw The Moon Units' positive energy, ability to rock the crowd, and musical skill, we immediately knew that they were meant to be our band (just like when we saw the venue we wanted, we just knew). They are highly accommodating, musically versatile, and truly professional, Hollywood type performers who will seal the deal on upgrading your wedding from already great to one of the greatest your guests have ever been to. The three things that most impressed me about them during my wedding were: 1) they gave it their all on every song whether there were two people on the dance floor or the whole group (and believe me, your guests will notice this too), 2) they were able to improvise to seamlessly integrate with all my other vendors and moving parts without any interruptions, as if my wedding was truly an entertainment production, and 3) whether they were singing rock, hiphop (yacht version), metal, r&b, pop, Kpop, oldies, or jazz, they performed as if it was their main genre. We requested them to learn two of our favorite songs that we loved but were skeptical that they could perform because of how hard they were to sing, and man did they prove us wrong! Each of the musicians are friendly, multi talented/multi instrument, down to earth people who love what they do and have a great time performing. They output pure sound candy and also look great doing it. Your stage will be glammed up and filled out, and your guests will compliment and remember your band choice even more than your food, I guarantee it. My wife and I are now semi-groupies (and I'm not ashamed as their gigs take me back to the best night of my life), and we aren't the only ones! That's something that no Youtube clip or online review can really convey. Good luck and have a great time wedding planning, but hire The Moon Units!!!The Moon Units's reply:

Had a great night at our wedding with the Moon Units!
Found the The Moon Units online and booked them for our wedding and it was a pleasure having them. Dylan was awesome and easy to work with. Always professional and responsive. Everybody At the wedding absolutely loved them, they were the talk of the party other than me and my new wife Hazel. They were the best, and would recommend them with no hesitation to anyone. We had the pleasure of having The Moon Units perform at our wedding, and they were absolutely amazing! We enjoyed working with Dylan, he was incredibly accommodating and responsive throughout the entire process. From the initial planning stages to our big day, Dylan and the band were very professional, helping us sort out all the specific details well in advance. One of the highlights was when they specially learned a song for our first dance. It was such a personal touch that made the moment unforgettable.
They also performed a beautiful acoustic rendition of "Can't Help Falling in Love" for our ceremony, which was perfect. They kept the energy high and the good vibes all night long. They curated a great set list for us and played a wonderful mix of oldies, classic rock hits, and modern pop that we and our guests loved.

The Moon Units were hands down the best part of our night. They played during and after dinner for us. They nailed the vibe of our party and played music that was a hit with all the guests. The musicians were amazing and they really brought an amazing energy. Everyone told me how much they loved the band and the venue owner asked for their name to recommend to other couples. Communication leading up to the wedding was great. They did an amazing job learning new songs for us (we gave them a real wild card) and brought so much energy. They even played a few bars In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida spur of the moment as a request from my dad. All the musicians were incredible and they were really able to get a solid depth of repertoire. We had no idea what a gem we were getting.
From start to finish this group was amazing.
In the very beginning, Dylan reached out to ask questions and get a feel for what we wanted.
We talked through the timeline and "vibe" and with every question he had multiple ideas and options of how to make it work.
Our wedding was very DIY.
So to have someone on the other end that was calm, kind and super professional made all the world of difference to us.
When it came to the music...
They crushed it.

The Moon Units are far and away the best wedding band I’ve ever heard. They have such amazing talent, such fun personalities, and such mindblowing versatility. Everything about working with them was a breeze, from the song selection to the timeline planning to the last minute adjustments a week before the wedding. A lot of the other groups we researched had a fixed setlist where they play the same thing at every wedding. The Moon Units let us pick our favorites from their enormous song list, and they also learned three new songs just for us. Special shout out to the horn section—they were POPPING the whole night! And I must mention that their saxophonist is very talented and a gem of the band. I really cannot recommend The Moon Units enough. 5 stars across the board!

What can we say about The Moon Units that would adequately describe our experience of working with them? Next to deciding to propose to my bride, selecting The Moon Units was our next best decision! It might seem cliché, but it feels clandestine that they were to be the band that my bride and I would hire to perform at our wedding. Music is very important us. We believe that music can set the tone for an event, so it was of the utmost importance to my bride and I that we find the perfect band for our wedding. After weeks of searching for the right band, and seeing footage of many competent but corporately concocted “bands” my bride discovered The Moon Units. The name alone had me sold! (My bride and I have had many cosmic coincidences and blessing in our relationship, so the celestial name alone was enough to pique my interest!) That said, once I saw their superb musicianship and that they are an actual working band, my interest was even stronger. After a quick call with Dylan, we were struck by his kind, personable demeanor, his easy, yet very professional manner and inquisitive interest in us as a couple and our musical tastes, we were sold! It was a refreshing experience after weeks of calls and zoom meetings with some impersonal and caustic corporate event organizations. By being extremely flexible with accommodating and collaborative with our special requests, The Moon Units took time and special care to provide a comprehensive approach to ensure that the sound for our wedding was perfect. My bride and I knew that were in such good hands, The Moon Units not only provided the entertainment for our reception, an acoustic quintet made up of members of the band provided music for our ceremony, and Dylan personally handled coordinating the string quartet that played our cocktail reception.
Writer/Comedian Larry David said that when hiring writers for Seinfeld, “many times it came down who was an ‘easy hang’.” In other words, whom would you like to spend so much time with. Dylan and all members of the Moon Units are the definition of an “easy hang.” After seeing their performances, witnessing their superb musicianship and the time that we spent with them at one of their gigs between sets, it was like seeing and hanging out with old friends. The laughs and smiles were quick. After a few minutes they began their second set and we were blown away with their musicianship! Sophie has the voice of an angel yet such incredible range and versatility, Jamey has a superb voice and charisma. Just when you think Mikey is just an excellent keyboardist, here he comes out-front to bring down the house by singing a tune with his rich deep voice. Not since Earth, Wind & Fire’s bassist Verdine White, has there been as great a bassists who can smile, sing and dance all while playing an infectious groove on bass! The Moon Unit’s Brian does that and so much more! Of course, as the legendary James Brown said, “you’ve got to give the drummer some,” The Moon Unit’s excellent drummer Taylor holds it all together giving the show a heartbeat to it all and expertly handing all of the different time signatures. The Moon Unit’s Saxophonist, Ross absolutely nails each solo and the accompanying horn players gave such warmth and depth to the arrangements. Their sound rivals any current Chicago and/or Steely Dan performance.
My bride and I are not what would be classified as dancers of any sort. Many of our hand selected songs were not typical dance music. However, with a band this good, you cannot help but get up and move! Special kudos and praise for their superb rendition of Earth, Wind, & Fire’s ‘September’, one of our favorite songs. Throughout what was a magical evening, the common denominator was the music of The Moon Units. From a stirring rendition of Peter Gabriel’s ‘Sledgehammer’; to Anita Baker’s ‘Same Ol’ Love’ (365 Days a Year); to Paul Simon’s, ‘You Can Call Me Al” (complete with superb bass solo, trumpet and music video choreography; to Duran Duran’s “Rio”; to the New Radicals’ anthem, ‘You Get What You Give’ it all was an incredible evening because of the music, and because that music was played and sang by gifted and talented musicians and singers. All of this is held together by the superb leadership of Dylan, who is a great band leader and a master a putting together a great setlist, understanding and working an audience, and on top of those skills, throw in his excellent playing both lead and rhythm guitar and executing perfect guitar solos.
I could go on and on about our superb and magical experience working with The Moon Units; however, I will just make the friendly suggestion that you see, hear and experience them for yourself! We hired the Moon Units for our daughter’s wedding in Camarillo in early September 2023. We could not have been happier with our choice! Dylan was great to work with, both in the planning stages and at the final event. And the band totally rocked their sets, especially the two lead singers who blew away our guests. And although they’re great performers, we never got the vibe that they were showing off or trying to steal the spotlight; they beautifully made the audience’s dancing and enjoyment the most important aspect. Bottom line: they hit the perfect note for this kind of party.
I’m a professional classical musician, so I had a pretty good understanding of what might be involved with working with a wedding band. Dylan was really helpful and accommodating in the pre-planning to all of our needs and requests. I was pretty amazed at the list of repertoire that they had available: over 500 tunes! And the band learned three tunes specifically by request of the bride and groom, including a tricky and obscure anime soundtrack piece.
At the actual event, the whole group was the epitome of helpfulness and professionalism. We had a pretty complicated setup for the sound tech, including providing live sound for the ceremony area, playback for the cocktail hour area, and a live performance set of family musicians at the reception area. Dave was great to work with, quickly setting levels and mixing the different inputs for the open mic set. And the volume levels for the band’s sets (first, a jazz trio at dinner and later the dance-party set with the whole band) were at the perfect volume to allow for conversation while still being present.
I can’t recommend the Moon Units any higher for a wedding; they were great to work with before, during and after the party, and their price-point was very competitive. All of the musicians were top-level, and the groove of the band showed how much time and experience they have playing together. The singers, especially the lovely woman in the group, were exceptional, both in intonation and style. My advice: book ‘em!

Want your wedding to be unforgettable? HIRE THE MOON UNITS! Of all of the details of my reception, the one element that ended up being flawless was their music. This band is so incredibly talented, and there is nothing like live (and awesome!) music to fill a space. We had the absolute best time of our lives doing Live Band Karaoke. Best Wedding Band Ever!!!!!
Truly the best wedding band that I've ever seen. We had the pleasure of hiring them, and it took our whole wedding to the next level. Their song list is what sets them apart and makes them so great. Even a month after our wedding, people are still raving about how good The Moon Units were.
In all my life, and all of the weddings that I've attended, I've never seen a dance floor packed from beginning to end. I also got to have one of the best moments in my musical career by playing guitar on stage with them.
So if you are still considering what band to hire, stop now, and just hire the Moon Units. You will not be disappointed, and will have the time of your life!

The Moon Units are a real class act. Charismatic, enthusiastic, sincere, and full of gusto. Their range was incredible and played the perfect songs for each portion of our wedding to get the right vibe and energy for the moment. Dylan the band leader worked closely with us in the months leading up to the wedding to select the perfect set list, coordinate with our wedding venue, and accommodate the moments we had planned to make our day special and personal. During the entire experience he was nothing but professional and kind. He was a true gentleman. His band plays beautifully and brought a ton of energy to the wedding. My guests were razzled and dazzled all night and had nothing but positive things to tell us afterwards. Sophie and Jamey sang so beautifully that I was moved to tears. Brian performed an amazing guitar solo to a cover of Bye Bye Bye and my guests were eating it up the whole time. Curtis was killing it on the keys. Each and every band member that I had the pleasure of meeting during the wedding were so kind and so friendly. Everything went ahead smoothly and we were able to work with Dylan and the band to find solutions and alternatives to all the hiccups that naturally occur when planning such an important event. The Moon Units come highly recommended from both my wife and myself. We could not have been any happier with our decision to choose live music over hiring a DJ. The band was one of the most memorable parts of the night and the experience would have been completely different without them. I could feel a true sincerity from them and their performance. They were having a great time and it came through in every song. The dance floor was never empty. If would book them again for another event if I could. In fact I hope my friends and family book them for their own weddings and events. This is truly a special group of people and an incredible band. Their high-level energy and talent made for such an unforgettable time. Everything about the experience was top-notch and professional. Dylan, the band leader and point of contact leading up to our event, was wonderful to work with. He always stayed in constant communication and worked with us directly to get every detail right. Obviously, a lot of planning and preparation goes into a wedding, so it was comforting to know I could rely on him and not have to worry about that aspect of our wedding at all. They have an epic catalog of songs to choose from to craft a perfect playlist, and they even learned a few additional songs just for us! Their rates are also extremely reasonable relative to what you find around Los Angeles (and I did a TON of research). Comments from guests: "Most fun I've had at a wedding". Comments from other vendors: "The best wedding we've ever catered". I firmly believe this was in part thanks to Dylan and the Moon Units. Dylan was flexible with every request, incredibly sweet, and patient with the many changes in dates thanks to COVID. I even rehearsed the father-daughter dance with him in-person, as I was the vocalist for it.
The band played so well, the pro vocalists were fantastic, and the entire band was so fun during the live karaoke portion. They assisted our guests any time it seemed like they were losing track or anxious. Everyone had so much damn fun, and I can't recommend the Moon Units enough.
A DJ or simple wedding band cannot compare to the Moon Units and their graceful performances with awkward wedding guests performing karaoke. It was worth every last dollar.The Moon Units's reply:

I would hire The Moon Units again and again. They made our wedding an absolute blast and everything we could have imagined. We rescheduled our wedding 4 times due to the pandemic, and they were constantly gracious and accommodating and nothing short of wonderful. Hands down our BEST VENDOR EVER. Dylan and the entire band worked with us for over a year and a half due to postponing for COVID. They added in the ceremony music (including a singer + stand up bass!) as well as learning all of our first dance songs for our reception.
Literally received compliments from all of our guests as to how amazing they were and kept the party going, even down to playing the Cupid Shuffle and Wobble for us on their break!

We Love The Moon Units
The Moon Units sound like rock stars, but they're as professional as NASA scientists. They were so organized about every detail, but when the music began, they turned into full party mode. It was so much fun for us and our guests.
I was very proud of the wedding reception we put together, but I think it's safe to say that The Moon Units were the very best part of it. I lost count of how many compliments we got for hiring them. It was such a positive experience and I'd hire them again, 100 times out of 100. -

It is an honor to write this review on behalf of The Moon Units. They were, without a doubt, the highlight of our entire wedding weekend. Everyone, and I mean EVERYONE at the wedding loved them. (Yes even my now father-in-law, who is a professional musician and had to admit “that band is damn good.”) We loved their amazing lead singers, who sound like Grammy winners. We loved the incredible energy of their players. And we LOVED the horns!! Every time they played, the songs just POPPED.
The band director Dylan is very organized but also very laid back. The band offers a lot of options, but Dylan presented them in a way that wasn’t overwhelming. He was very straightforward and never pushed services we didn’t need. He understood what we wanted, and THE MOON UNITS DELIVERED.
Brides, grooms, I was in your shoes and kind of overwhelmed by all the band options out there. We chose The Moon Units and we could not have been happier. I will go so far as to say it was the BEST choice we made for the entire wedding. Hire them and you will understand what I mean!! -

I'm going to get to the point right now: Hire The Moon Units to play your wedding. Trust me on this.
We did a massive amount of research into wedding bands before picking one. We chose The Moon Units for their talent, their flexibility, and the "live band karaoke" option (which was a major hit). Last but not least, we chose them because their price was a lot more reasonable than many of the other groups we contacted. Wedding bands aren't cheap, but The Moon Units actually offered more players and a bigger song selection than much more expensive bands. There really was no reason not to go with them.
We used three of the band members to play our wedding ceremony, and then the full group played our cocktail hour and dance set. The final hour of the night was dedicated to live band karaoke, and I'm pretty sure that was the highlight of our entire wedding weekend. We really wanted our guests to have a memorable time, and getting to sing with a band as awesome as The Moon Units definitely accomplished that!
To everyone who's reading this as they do research for their own wedding... I am sharing, free of charge, my secret to an amazing reception: Get this band! That is the secret. -
Connor Sent on 09/26/2018The Moon Units turned my wedding reception into the greatest dance party of all time! The band is so talented, electric, and such a joy to work with. They have a huge library of music – pop, rock, funk, rap, and every wedding classic your weird uncle can boogie down to. My wife and I worked with them to create a (lengthy) set-list that we felt truly represented us. But the icing on the cake (which was even sweeter than the icing on our actual cake) was that the Moon Units took the time to learn a handful of our favorite songs, making the evening feel even more special than I could have imagined.
We also had the pianist, Mikey, play our ceremony. I don’t know how else to say it, other than, his talent and grace helped create one of the greatest moments of my life.
The wedding industry can be intense (and expensive) but the Moon Units added so much value without charging an outrageous price. We couldn’t recommend them more!

The Moon Units were truly amazing, super tight, well dressed, and ended up being one of the most beloved parts of our wedding. They did a combination of covers and karaoke - the covers really got everyone out of their seats and dancing, the female singer should have a record contract. The karaoke part was really really fun, and they were super helpful with lyrics and cues and all of that stuff that people might have gotten anxious about. Very good sound quality/mix. I'll have to find another event to throw so I can hire them again, but I would recommend them above any other band out there.

Seriously this band is so accommodating, so professional and so TALENTED. We really couldn't be happier. And we got so many compliments from guests.
There are a lot of great things I could say about The Moon Units, but I'll highlight a couple. The first one was that their representative Dylan was so accommodating and friendly as he worked with us to finalize a format and a set list. He coordinated with our wedding planner and venue and so, honestly, we didn't have to worry about anything. They played everything we were hoping to hear and we told them to surprise us with the rest of the set. It was perfect.
Another thing that really impressed us was the overall abilities of the band. They were so great at so many different genres and I really liked that they picked a set list that had something for everyone. They also learned a song that my maid of honor serenaded us with, which was a highlight. We chose to have their singers perform covers for the first half of the reception, and they sounded amazing. For the second half, we shifted to the Live Band Karaoke option, which was a total blast. We have a lot of performers in our friend group, so it was a perfect way to add excitement to the second half of our reception.
I enthusiastically recommend the Moon Units to anyone. They are a fantastic wedding band, but honestly I'd hire them for any kind of event. That's how good they are. Music is so important for a wedding, it can really make or break your reception! I think having the Moon Units for our wedding was key in making the evening unforgettable. I'm so happy we hired them! -

The Moon Units were without a doubt our top pick for wedding band. Their song choices were so vast it was hard for us to even limit the songs because we couldn't say no to so many! Dylan was amazing with responses to all emails and worked with on timing, pricing, and was completely accommodating since our wedding was in SD county and they are from LA county. They were so wonderful and our guests completely loved the band, dancing the entire night away. They even accommodated my request to sing one song for the crowd! In fact, they were so game that they agreed to wear the retro tuxedo frilly shirts we got for them. I would recommend the Moon Units for any live music event! -
