Just Book!
If you're even remotely considering The Millennium Center for your wedding, stop second-guessing and just book it! My husband and I got married in April 2024 and had the best experience. We had toured several venues, but The Millennium Center immediately stood out as the perfect choice. The venue’s stunning architecture, history, and prime location in downtown Winston-Salem made it the ideal setting for our special day.
Greg (owner), Evie (his wife), and their entire team went above and beyond to ensure BOTH the planning process and our wedding day were flawless. Greg took the time to meet with us several times, answering all of our questions and never rushing us. These meetings weren’t just about logistics—they were always fun conversations to get to know each other.
The team worked closely with us to personalize every detail, from incorporating cultural elements into our food menu, to offering excellent vendor recommendations. They even went the extra mile with personal touches, like stocking the bar with our favorite options. They also gave us great advice on certain setups but never overpowered our perspectives—they truly listened to what we wanted.
On the big day, everything was executed flawlessly. We spent the entire day at The Millennium Center, including getting ready (there is plenty of space to do so comfortably!). The team’s attention to detail, professionalism, and commitment to bringing our vision to life was extraordinary. We never had to worry about a thing—it was a stress-free and unforgettable experience. Our guests are still raving about the food (especially the chicken, and shrimp and grits!), the bar service, the venue’s beauty, and of course, Greg. He made a point to check in with guests throughout the day to make sure everyone was happy and had everything they needed.
We honestly couldn’t have asked for a better venue or a more amazing team to work with.

Venue of Our Dreams!
The venue itself is absolutely stunning. Decorating felt effortless because the space is already art. Every corner carries character, history, and beauty. It doesn’t need to be transformed, it enhances whatever vision you bring. Mr. Greg, Mrs. Edie, and the entire team are some of the most solution-minded, knowledgeable, and genuinely caring professionals we’ve ever encountered. Their experience shows in every interaction. They anticipate needs before you even voice them, which allowed us to completely flow through our day with calm and confidence. By the end, they didn’t feel like staff, they felt like family. Our guests are still talking about the beautiful lighting and delicious signature drinks. Several of our family members have stated that they plan to make dinner reservations here since our wedding meal was so phenomenal. We just thank them and remind them it’s a venue. When you serve 5 star meals as an all inclusive wedding venue, it confuses people lol. The overall ambiance perfectly captured our style: Timeless, warm, and glamorous.It truly doesn’t get any better than The Millennium Center! -

Magical wedding!
The Millenium Center gave us the wedding reception of our dreams! Their help in planning was invaluable: practical, catered to our desires, thought of things we might have missed otherwise. Every detail was exquisite: bridal prep room, decorations throughout building, table dinnerware, centerpieces, hors d'oeuvres, delicious dinner and desserts (happily reflecting different backgrounds of bride and groom), staff service, lighting, signage, bar staff, sound equipment, piano for cocktail hour, terrific setup for our running slide show.. it just goes on and on. Greg, Edie, and manager Mary could not have been more helpful if they were planning their OWN wedding. We are deeply grateful and give the Millenium Center our highest and most enthusiastic recommendation! -

Best Night of Our Lives!
My daughter selected the Millennium Center for her wedding and it was one of the best nights of our lives. The attention to detail and courtesy of the staff was noteworthy and set an example of excellence which every business should emulate. My heartfelt appreciation for Greg and Edie Carlyle (owners/operators) for their kindness, professionalism and a job very well done. I have another daughter, so I am hoping to be back one day! -

2024 Wedding
No complaints from the bride and me. venue was incredible, we had a ton of say in how everything was decorated for our big day. the owners and staff were quick, polite, very efficient. emails were answered quickly, and they worked with our other vendors to make sure everything was smooth on the big day. we could not have asked for a better experience. -

We had a wonderful time hosting our wedding party at The Millennium Center. Greg and the entire staff were so accommodating when we needed to make changes to the date a few months prior to our event. They also had so many options for decor, food, and general tips to help with the flow of the night. They are truly experts at what they do and we cannot recommend them enough. Stop looking and book with them!! -

The best experience of our lives!
Greg, Edie, Mary and the whole team at Millennium Center truly go above and beyond to make your wedding day the absolute best day of your life. Nothing was too big or small of an ask. The bridal and groom's suite were fully stocked with anything we could want and were amazing spaces to spend time with our bridal party during the day. We had our ceremony in the old federal courthouse upstairs and it was so intimate and dreamy with 200 of our closest friends, then we transitioned downstairs for cocktail hour and our reception. Greg even opened up roof top access for us to take photos during Golden Hour that are truly stunning. And can we talk about the FOOD?! We had so many people come up and say the food we had for our buffet "Was not wedding food" with many calling it "a 5 star meal." We even added a "late night bite" a month out and Greg and his team pulled out the most delicious french fry bar, it was a huge hit. Our band LOVED the full stage and in house tech-team, and we truly had a party from the moment it started until our exit, which over 100 people stayed for because the vibes were immaculate. The pricing was the actual best in the state. Don't want to worry about linen, table and chair rentals and the massive fees that come with them? Don't want to be stuck with in-house planner fees and searching for mid-at-best wedding catering? Struggling to fork over thousands of dollars for florals you will use for six hours? Greg thinks through and offers options for all of this for you, and takes care of labor and services so it is off your plate for the fairest cost that you truly would not believe in comparison to other vendors. Oh, and he pulled all of this together in under 7 months so we could get the discount for an off-season wedding with him and our vendors and not have to sweat on our wedding day! Millennium Center is the venue for you. We are so thankful for all that Greg and his team did and we truly feel like we are apart of the family now!-

Engagement Party
We had our daughters engagement party at the Millenium Center. We had 300 guests attend the night was amazing the most enjoyable evening. Everyone left enthusiastic with the venue drinks and the delicious food! -

Best day of our lives!
We got married in December 2022 and could not have asked for a more perfect day. The venue itself is gorgeous and the location is super convenient, especially for out of town guests. Greg and his team were responsive, accommodating and fun to work with. They made thoughtful suggestions that took our ideas to the next level. The food was delicious, from cocktail hour hors d'oeuvres to the main course. We also had them do our bouquets and floral arrangements, which turned out beautifully. Simply The Best!!
Simply The Best!! What a beautiful time we had! Greg Edie and Mary were the most gracious hosts and made our daughter's wedding an elegant memory we will cherish for a lifetime. From the first meeting to the tasting, to the final event, they were accessible and quick responding. We feel the atmosphere there is like walking into a familiar place, like visiting with Family. The Best Wedding Reception!
“Perfect.” “Beautiful.” “Fabulous.” These are only a few of the many reactions our guests shared with us. And they were due to the amazing wedding reception that we hosted at The Millennium Center with the expert help of owner Greg Carlyle and his talented team. They brought years of experience, enthusiasm, and friendliness to our every question and request. From our first consultation with Greg months in advance, all the way through the last dance of the night, this proud mother and father of the bride will always be thrilled that we chose to celebrate this special day there. Greg’s signature 1918 Beaux Arts building in beautiful downtown Winston Salem was ideal. It’s in the center of many hotels, restaurants, churches, and fun things for guests to do, all within easy walking distance. We made use of the gracious and sophisticated accommodations for our day-long wedding preparations and dressing, a wonderful pre-reception cocktail hour with its multiple serving locations, an over-the-top delicious meal and a large stage and dance floor for the band and all 265 guests to celebrate. Father of the Bride
We had several options for venues for our daughter’s wedding reception. We have known Greg and Edie for years and asked them to make a proposal for the special event. The entire experience was beyond expectations. They were accommodating of our every need and not only did they not overpromise, they over delivered. Greg was always available to discuss details and was helpful with suggestions that not only saved us money but made the event more enjoyable for our guests. Every aspect from the food tasting to the discussions about layout and timing were right on point. It is obvious that Greg and Edie have been doing this for a long time and still have meeting the needs of their clients as their most important goal. Our guests have not stopped commenting on how special the night was. I give the Millennium Center my highest recommendation. -

The Millennium Center is a classic staple in Winston-Salem. Greg and his team are truly unmatched and that is so hard to find! The immediate feel of “calm” and “understanding” when you explain your vision of your perfect day comes to life within moments of chatting with them. Perfection!!
We LOVE this venue!!! Everything from linens, to decor, to florals, to food is done in house. The only outside vendors we had to coordinate were music, cake, and hair/makeup. This seriously helped us streamline our planning process and absolutely everything was incredible!! Mary made the entire process and wedding day itself run super smoothly. The venue is gorgeous with several different rooms to choose from for the event; we chose the historic courtroom and FBI room for our Sunday morning ceremony and brunch reception. All of the event staff was professional, friendly, and welcomed our guests on our big day. Cannot recommend this venue highly enough!! -

Could not have been better!
What a fabulous venue and staff. From beginning to end Greg, Mary and their team did such a wonderful job with my wedding. The Millennium Center offers so many options within their venue. They have a wide variety of spaces available, depending on the vibe you're wanting for your big day. Not only that but they are a full service venue. You don't have to worry about renting tables, chairs or tableware bc they have a huge variety to choose from. They also will provide your food and beverage onsite, another huge benefit of choosing this venue as well as event coordinator who will help you every step of the way. We got so many compliments about how wonderful the food was! It is also so nice to be able to have full access to the venue for the day of your event. They have amazing spaces to get ready in and not to mention amazing photo opportunities around the building, especially the rooftop. I would highly recommend this venue in downtown Winston-Salem, NC. -

Best Day of My Life
On September 5, 2021 I was blessed to be able to get married at the Millennium Center. Both my ceremony and reception were held at the venue and it was the most memorable day ever! The staff were absolutely amazing and very responsive. The experience was so stress free due to everything that is included in the price for the venue. My guest said the food was some of the best food they have ever tasted at a wedding and were blown away by the beauty of the venue and organization of event. Thank you Millennium Center Staff for helping make my day so special! If I could do it over again, I would choose the Millennium Center every time. -

Excellence from the Millennium Center
I had my wedding at the Millennium Center in November 2021 and would recommend them to anyone! The entire team came together to make the event perfect and memorable for ~175 guests. Greg and Mary were both involved from the first meeting to the end of the reception. They executed every special request and made the entire wedding seamless from the ceremony in the courtroom to cocktail hour in the lobby to the reception in the main event space. The food was delicious and organized as stations so no one had to wait serving beef tenderloin, salmon, shrimp and grits, and chicken. The bar staff kept everyone's drinks full until we made our exit and the bar carried all the brands we typically drink. We had an 11 piece band who comfortably fit on stage using an incredible sound system The Millennium Center already has. The staff was constantly rounding the reception to clean up plates and glasses so everything looked neat. The Millennium Center even did all the flowers and decorations catered to our taste. I would highly recommend anyone looking at The Millennium Center to book the space! -

The Perfect Wedding
I had my wedding here in October 2021 and I can't even begin to describe how amazing it was. The food was fantastic and the atmosphere was just stunning. We invited people from all over the country and EVERYONE was blown away by the food. This venue has so much history and character -- our photos from the day are unbelievable. The staff went above and beyond to make our day extra special and we are just so grateful.
Regarding COVID, The Millennium Center made us feel very safe and reassured during the whole process. The staff was masked and our guests felt very comfortable and safe because of the precautions they took both on and before our wedding day. We really appreciated this. This was my dream wedding and the staff at The Millennium Center made it happen. They communicated with me every step of the way and were flexible and kind throughout the wedding planning process. I had countless people tell me this is one of the best weddings they've ever been to.
Definitely get married here if you want to work with someone who really cares about your experience -- because that's clearly a priority to the folks at The Millennium Center.-

The Millennium Center is a very Special Place!
We traveled form out of town to attend our nephews wedding in Winston Salem. Even though he and his lovely bride were forced to scale things down due to Covid restrictions, I have to say that the staff at the Millennium Center were very professional, they provided more than ample space social distancing, if anyone so chose. The building itself is just lovely, the grand scale of it alone is amazing. It is definitely something you wouldn't imagine down south, Mr. and Mrs. Carlyle have done a fantastic job restoring this beautiful building and giving it life in a new way. We were even lucky enough to receive a personal tour of the entire space, all three levels are just stunning! Between the joy my family shared, the delicious food, and fantastic service we received we will always remember our time in Winston Salem and the Millennium Center. -

Truly fantastic!
As a wedding planner myself, I knew I needed a venue with fantastic service that would be able to perfect our vision for our wedding day. Greg and his team at The Millennium Center did just that! Greg responded to all of my random ideas and questions with enthusiasm and was a fantastic planning partner. He goes out of his way to make client's dreams a reality. As an added bonus, the menu selections and food offerings at The Millennium Center are expansive and delicious. My husband and I are grateful to Greg and his staff for helping us create our perfect wedding day! -

Perfect Experience
Greg, Edie, Mary, and the entire Millennium Center staff did a fantastic job with our daughter’s wedding. As Greg promised, everything was perfect, i.e. the venue, the flowers, and the food, making for a wonderful day for our beautiful daughter and her new husband, family, and friends. Based on our family’s experience, I cannot recommend Greg and his team strongly enough. -

The Best place to experience true quality

Fantastic, Spacious Venue in Winston-Salem
Our wedding weekend was a dream thanks to Greg and his team! As a Winston native, I'd been to prom and other events at the Millennium Center, but did not appreciate the beauty of the venue until I got married there.
Greg was quick and receptive throughout the entire process and allowed us to come in whenever we had questions or wanted to talk things through. Having a venue that did flowers, food, all equipment, etc. made it so easy on us and lessened the number of vendors we had to work with.
It was great to be able to get ready at the venue (the bridal suite is fantastic) and spend our entire day there. Our wedding day ran so smoothly, which was no small feat with almost 250 people. I would recommend the venue for anyone looking to get married in Winston. -

All inclusive site for wedding
Beautiful, historic venue with gracious, helpful owners. Wonderful bridal room with lots of mirrors and 3 salon chairs for the whole crew to get ready. The venue provides catering that is second to none. Our guests raved about the food and bar service. Venue provided us with a preferred DJ who played appropriate, and varied music during cocktail hour and dinner, yet, kept the party pumping when it was time to dance. The wife of the owner stepped in and helped fix the flowers that arrived from another florist. She had extra flowers she used from her own stock to rearrange the delivered flowers. They ended up being beautiful. This venue is focused on customer service. I would recommend to anyone for any festive occasion.

The best wedding experience
We were married (both service and reception) this past fall at the Millennium Center and I cannot say enough positive things about the overall experience! Being incredibly busy finishing the last year of my masters I had little time for wedding planning and staying on top of details with vendors and such. Greg and his team were able to provide almost everything I needed in terms of decorations and overall flow of the wedding. We also used his catering company for food and it was the most delicious wedding food we have ever had! The day of he handled everything with the caterer, DJ, cake, and guests. We just showed up, got ready and had the most relaxing and beautiful day and night! -

This review is way overdue but I truly can not say enough positives about the wedding for my daughter here! Kaitlyn was simply perfect in every way, from the decorating ideas to the last minute updates and calming me right before it all happened! :) I would highly recommend this venue if you are seeking first class, professional service! A year later, I continue to have friends and family comment on what a beautiful wedding it was as well as the food was out of this world delicious! As I was greeting everyone after dinner, I truly have never seen so many clean plates! :) Thank you Kaitlyn and Greg for a job well done!!

Words cannot express how amazing the Millennium Center and staff were for our Wedding this past September. I was planning our wedding out of town (Charlotte) and both Greg and Kaitlyn were a dream to work with and extremely detail oriented. No request was too large or small for the team at Millennium and they made sure to cater our day to fit our personality. Millennium is a one stop shop offering full services of catering, decor, floral arrangements, tables, chairs, table linens, etc. which made the planning process a breeze. Not having to purchase a ton of candles/decor that I would never use again was a huge perk and they have an amazing selection to choose from. The Millennium team can make any floral dream come true with their talented staff. My colors were black and white with greenery and rose accents. Being from the south I wanted to incorporate magnolia leaves into our decor and Millennium knocked it out of the park with our table arrangements featuring Magnolia leaves. If you are looking for an incredible venue with a staff that is even more amazing Millennium Center is the right venue for you!-

Choosing to have our wedding reception at the Millennium Center was the best choice we made about our wedding. The building itself is stunning, but the staff really made the wedding of our dreams a reality! Kaitlyn, Greg, and the entire staff blew us away with their professionalism, their creativity, and their flexibility. They were amazing to work with- they thought of everything and really have weddings down to a science, we never doubted we were in great hands! Kaitlyn kept me updated about everything - even sent me preview pictures while setting up the ballroom and lobby, which was so thoughtful. One of the great things about the Millennium Center is all of the extras they provide. When booking with them you not only get a venue, but a caterer, an event coordinator, serving staff, and new friends! The food was delicious, and we heard nothing but great things from our guests. The morning of our wedding, our entire bridal party was able to get ready either in the bridal salon or in a special area downstairs that Greg set up for the guys. This was so special to us, and saved us from having one more thing to coordinate! Our guests kept raving about our reception and I know we all have the best memories of our special day thanks to the Millennium Center staff! If you book with them- you won't regret it! -

We used the Millennium Center only for our reception location and I'm so glad we did! Greg and his wonderful staff were great to work with! Planning a wedding from across the country is never easy but Greg went above and beyond to accommodate any special requests and customized the space to make it uniquely ours. Millennium Center has so much character and really embodies the rich history of Winston-Salem. Greg and his staff worked really well with our florist, photographer, and cake bakery- everything went so smoothly on the wedding day! Greg went the extra mile to ensure everything was perfect for the big day, he even worked around our schedules to set up a menu & wine tasting for us when we came into town one weekend. His staff was very friendly and welcoming- Kaitlyn set up a romantic candlelit dinner for my husband and I before being introduced at the reception, it was such a wonderful moment to have! My experience with the Millennium Center was nothing but positive!

I had a wedding scheduled at the Millennium Center for Sept 23 2017. August 22 my mother fell and broke her hip, she needed round tbe clock care and i was far to busy to take part in my wedding planning. I left everything up to the staff. Greg and his staff, who were in the first week of their busy season, cut no corners and gave my bride and I a gorgeous affair. Tables were lain with fine china in perfect position, the ballroom was stunning and the grand lobby was glorious. My geusts all raved about the beauty of the rooms and the delicious food. My meal was scrumptious, service was impeccable, and the culmination of the planning was as if they read my brides mind. I've spent roughly seven years in fine dining, catering, and event preparation so i must say that my standards are quite high. Mill staff exceeded my hopes and gave us a phenominal event. -

I'm only the mother of the bride, but in my opinion it was perfect. The price was reasonable, the service and responsiveness impeccable. No need for a wedding planner on day of event if you use Millennium Center - they do it all. Kaitlyn and Greg are the best. The main floor space has all hardwood floors, so we had a gigantic dance floor, which was so nice. -

The Millenium center is just an amazing place. Everyone in the staff made you feel welcomed and special. I had a wedding planner and she was absolutely NOT needed because Kaitlyn and Greg did a wonderful job getting everything in order for me. I really appreciated all their hard work. I know they do this all the time but they really focus on my wedding like it's their only one. I would definitely recommend. Picking the Millennium Center was the best decision we made when planning our wedding. Working with Greg Carlyle and his staff was an absolute pleasure. Greg's vision and attention to detail allowed us and guided us in making the most memorable night of our lives. Greg made himself available to us any time we needed him leading up to the wedding, we went through multiple walk through's and each time Greg helped us picture exactly what our day would be like. Greg and his staff helped us manage the stress of putting a wedding together and with his expertise he made our dream wedding a reality. The Millennium Center has an endless amount of options for decor' and decorations, from flower vases to stemware to linens to lighting. The value of what we received far out weighed what we paid. We strongly recommend using The Millennium Center's kitchen for your food; one compliment we heard from every guest was how amazing the food was. We had a freshly made salad with local strawberries and home made candied pecans, followed by a tenderloin that literally could be cut with a fork. This came paired with chicken breast and a local vegetable medley. Everything was perfect and Greg hand delivered our family style platters to each table himself and gave a presentation worthy of a 5 star restaurant. Any special request we made was met without any challenges; Greg truly made us feel like our wedding was the most important event of the year for him and his staff. Their team was incredibly helpful and enthusiastic with all of our guests and they felt more like hosts than servers. We also reserved the Groom' Suite in the basement and the Bridal's Suite on the main floor and we strongly recommend in reserving these for any wedding. The Groom's suite was stocked with beer and other assorted beverages, a pool table was provided to keep us busy. The bridal suite which actually setup as a salon was everything the girls needed to get ready and be able to relax. -

You can't go wrong with the Millennium Center! We held our November 21st, 2015 wedding reception here and it was absolutely FANTASTIC! Greg Carlyle and his team were phenomenal and absolutely an integral part to pulling off such a special evening. Literally, my every wish/request was granted! Through all of the planning and decor & vendor selections, Greg was there to assist with suggestions and referrals and never once steered me wrong. And then to the actual day of, from getting ready in the bridal suite to tearing up the dance floor in to the night, we could not have asked for a more perfect celebration. The building itself is so special and really just a sight to behold and then on top of that, the support staff really has the wedding thing down to a science. One item that was really important to me was that the food be mind-blowing, and Chef Pat and Artisan really delivered - people are still talking about the MASSIVE charcuterie display. Also, I remember at first being a bit wary about not hiring a day of coordinator, but just as Greg reassured me, we stayed completely on schedule and the event flowed flawlessly. Our reception was simply perfection, and I am just SO thankful for the Millennium Center and team for all that they did to pull it off. This place is the epitome of elegance and like I stated in the beginning of this review, you can't go wrong with the Millennium Center!! -

Though my wife and daughter did most of the wedding/reception planning, our family could not have been happier with the quality and care to detail we received at the Millennium Center. Greg Carlyle, the host at the Millennium Center was such a joy and expert; he made the planning fun and relaxed. The venue was gorgeous, well staffed, and the food was the best! Guests were so happy and impressed, many gushing with compliments. The entire wedding, cocktail hour, and reception was at the M. Center and made it very easy for our guests to relax and enjoy. My experience with Greg and the staff at the Millennium Center was nothing short of amazing! I knew the first time I visited that was the place I wanted to have my Wedding Reception. From the very beginning, Greg made my husband and I feel at ease and that we were truly important. With Greg and his staff in charge, I did not worry about anything. From planning the menu to the table arrangements, Greg made sure my every wish was carried out. We truly had the reception of my dreams- it was better than I could have ever imagined. The venue itself is stunningly beautiful- the space speaks for itself. We did not have to add a lot of decorations due to the natural beauty of the ballroom. Words could never do justice to the amazing job Greg and the amazing staff at the Millennium Center did to make our wedding all that we had ever dreamed it would be. The Millennium Center is the only wedding venue I visited/priced. I just knew when I walked in the door that I didn’t need to look any further. From beginning to end, Greg was always available, quick to respond to emails or calls, personable, always willing to give suggestions and the pricing was more than fair. There aren’t many wedding venues where everything is included in the price. In addition, Greg was so helpful - from day one the pricing was laid out, with different options on food, beverages, rooms to hold different events, etc. He was very upfront on what the costs were, what he could do to help keep costs down, and most importantly, he was very honest on what he thought was worth spending money on and what just hadn't worked in the past. You could just really tell that he cares about the people that walk in his office and making their events wonderful. He puts 100% into everything he does. Every last detail was covered without me having to double check him or worry that he'd forget something. His staff on the day of the wedding gave top notch service that you'd expect at a 5 star restaurant/hotel. We actually had a waiter follow us outside while we were taking pictures to make sure that we weren't being left out of the cocktail hour. The food was absolutely amazing. We had several attendees with food allergies and they were taken care of with no problems. Greg and his staff also designed all of our flowers and did a great job of listening to and creating exactly what I wanted. I just cannot and do not want to imagine what my wedding day would have been like had it been held somewhere else. I full heartedly believe that no one holding a wedding and/or wedding reception at The Millennium Center would ever be disappointed or regretful. -

The Millennium Center is a beautiful venue location in downtown Winston-Salem! They put on a perfect wedding reception for us. We had about 250 people at our wedding, and many of my guests commented on how smoothly our reception ran and how delicious the dinner was. Their food is so, so good. I also had many detailed requests regarding the decor and flow of the reception, and Greg and his team didn't miss a mark! I don't know where to begin, the Millennium Center was a delight to work with from start to finish in planning the wedding. The building itself is a magnificent 100 year old structure with all kinds of fascinating architectural detail. Greg Carlyle, the proprietor, has transformed the Millennium Center into a state of the art event venue, which regularly hosts all types of events from graduations, to weddings, to New Year's Parties. We worked one-on-one with Greg, who took us under his wing and provided not only the stunning venue, but helped us select the menu, and fabulous food was served at the wedding reception right from the oven! We received so many compliments from our guests, but the compliment really needs to be passed to Greg, who orchestrated it all. We worked with him for about a year on-and-off figuring out the details. During that year we always found him to be fun, smart, professional, helpful, and wise. Thank you Greg and all the Millennium Center staff, the wedding was a dream come true! -

We could not have asked for more from the Millennium Center and staff on our big day. We got married in the Garden Room and had our reception in the Speakeasy and everything turned out perfect. Greg and his staff did major renovations to the downstairs area and it looks amazing. They helped us get everything set up a few days before and even allowed us to set up our tables and dessert bar early even though they had another event that Friday night before the wedding. Walking into the reception space on the day of was amazing. Everything looked perfect. Greg and his team helped coordinate with all my vendors and made the day flow perfect. There was a wedding upstairs in the ballroom as well and they made sure everything flowed nicely between the entrances and exits of both weddings. The food was to-die-for. We had a pasta bar and a carving station and our guests are still talking about how good both of them are. We couldnt have had a better wedding or wedding reception. Greg and his team are amazing. -

We had our reception the evening of June 28, 2014 at the Millenium Center. It was fabulous. The food was phenomenal, we were hearing about it from guests for weeks afterwards. Greg and his staff were wonderful and responsive to our every need. We could not have been happier - the decor, the food, everything. We had our wedding at the Millennium Center in August of 2014 and it was the best venue we could have chosen! It was beautiful, classic, elegant and perfectly situated in the heart of downtown Winston-Salem where we call home. The hassle-free planning process moves at your own speed and you can customize your event to fit easily into your budget. The Millennium Center is perfect for any size event (Ours was 250 people), and your guests will talk about the venue for weeks following your wedding. The staff was accommodating the day and night of our wedding and the staff did their part to make sure that we remained hydrated throughout the night and that we actually had a chance to eat our dinner. You'll not regret getting married at OR having your reception at the Millennium Center. -

Everything about the Millennium Center was amazing! They provide everything from the food, tables, chairs, sound system, waiters, etc. making planning a reception pretty easy. The owner, Greg, is a really amazing man and will work with you to make your day perfect. The staff are also all very kind and helpful, and put up with me rearranging the front area about 3 times before I found a configuration I liked. The food was also incredible, and the wait staff were courteous and efficient. Everyone complimented us on the amazing meal. At the beginning of our reception, the sound system messed up a little and one of the staff members immediately came to fix it, and I appreciated his swiftness in identifying and fixing the problem. I would recommend the Millennium Center 100%-- it was a great experience and a wonderful reception! -

The MC is a beautiful and exciting venue. We used the Courtroom and the Grand Ballroom. Having the bridal salon for the ladies was amazing -- my hairdresser came to the site and was so excited to have a real setup for her work -- and the boys appreciated their setup as well. Everything looked beautiful! John (the one who directly supervises setup) is a glorious asset to the venue; he went above and beyond to triple-check that everything was set up the way we wanted it to be set up that day. He also helped my father-in-law with a huge problem: he accidentally left his tux jacket and did not realize it was not with the rest of his things until the MC was closed up. They live out of town, so John actually found it and took it all the way back to Men's Wearhouse for us in time to secure a refund for the almost $400 they had charged for losing the jacket. His offer to go even further beyond the call of duty after our event was completely done and paid for impressed us beyond words and epitomizes the reason we were so pleased with the execution of the ceremony and reception. By the way, the food is DELICIOUS!!! -

I cannot even begin to explain how happy I am with my choice in the Millennium Center as my reception venue! Everything far exceeded my expectations and am still being complimented on how beautiful that ballroom looked, how delicious the food was, and how friendly the wait staff was. Greg and his staff are friendly, professional, and punctual. They made me feel completely at ease and insured me that nothing would go wrong (and nothing did!). They did all the heavy work so that my family and I could enjoy the day stress free. I would very very highly recommend Greg and the Millennium Center to everyone! -

The Millennium Center is a full service provider, providing as many or as few services as requested. The staff is professional, innovative and willing to work within a budget. Fortunately, while the quality of product and service exceeded our expectations, the cost was significantly less than the alternatives we considered. The venue has various options, both conventional and unique, for the service depending on the space and ambiance desired. An on-site chef provides high quality made-to-order culinary options which can be served table side or at serving stations. As a professional couple, we were impressed with the staff's ability to take our ideas and provide a beautiful finished product with very little stress on our part. -

This was our third wedding and the first at the Millennium Center. The facility met all our needs. We were able to have the wedding in the same room as the reception. I was concerned that the ceremony would not be a traditional church type setting but they made it beautiful and respective, and then in absolutely no time they had the place switched over to a beautiful reception while the guest socialized in another area. The lightening was unique and beautiful. I really loved that we had so much room to dance and move around. Too many times you are bumping into people but that was not a problem here. The food was wonderful as well. We had so many choices to pick from and they accommodated all of our request. We had a place to get dressed and they provided us snacks and drinks. I have had many people ask if we could do it again because everyone had such a wonderful time. Compared to many other places the Millennium Center was a very good deal. I liked knowing that everything was inclusive and I did not have to go out and find someone to provide the food, table lines, lightening, etc. The only thing we had to get separate was the DJ, flowers, and cake, however they made wonderful recommendations and would also do flowers for us if needed. My suggestion to anyone planning for a wedding would be spend your money on the setting and food because that is what people will remember when looking back to the fun-filled day. -

Oh my goodness, I cannot say enough good things about the Millennium Center. While planning my wedding, I was finishing up graduate school and my mom was working full time, so needless to say we were both busy. The Millennium Center was the perfect location for us because they took care of everything from linens to food and drinks. It was so wonderful not to have to coordinate with several vendors the week before and day of the wedding. The staff at the Millennium Center worked with all my requests and went above and beyond. They even found gluten-free beer for my guests who had this dietary restriction. They were also great with involving me in every decision, even down to how I wanted the napkins folded! There were about 400 guests at my wedding; however, the large space at the Millennium Center never felt crowded. All my guest were fed extremely fast and did not have to wait for drinks. Plus, they were all in awe by the gorgeous historical venue. Just to help give a better a ideal of how great this vendor is, here is the thank you note I wrote a few weeks after the wedding:
"Dear Greg and Staff,
This note is a little overdue. However, I just had to write to tell you thank you for helping to make my wedding day so special and perfect. You all literally took care of everything and went above and beyond all of my requests. It was such a blessing to not have to worry about a single detail on my wedding day. Because I knew y'all had everything covered, I was able to relax and enjoy time with my friends, family and new husband. You not only made me and Wells feel like a King and Queen, you made both our parents feel like royalty as well! The staff was excellent at anticipating all my guests' needs. Everyone is still talking about the delicious food and gorgeous venue! Thank you sincerely for making Wells and my wedding an event we will remember for a lifetime!"

We hosted a rehearsal dinner for 200 people at the Millennium Center and Greg and his wonderful staff provided an evening to remember! His vision, flexibility and value made the entire planning process enjoyable. He took my vision of a formal family style dining experience and ran with my ideas and created a spectacular evening with a stunning setting and outstanding food and service. The additional plus is that he had everything I needed in-house... candles, linens, chiavari chairs, and beautiful chandeliers. I did not have to rent a thing....Patrick, the chef, took my dinner requests and created a meal that surpasses anything I have ever had in NC. The ease with which he served 200 was astounding. His creativity took a basic rehearsal dinner and made it a fabulous event. Our guests have been calling for his recipes: figs stuffed with goat cheese mousse, herb crusted tenderloin with chimachurri sauce and much more. After the dinner, we moved downstairs to a party at the "Speakeasy". Once again, they took my ideas of a fun party night and created an atmosphere that took us into the early morning hours, including egg croissants at midnight. We had to finally dim the lights to get all to leave.
Greg was there from start to finish making sure that everything went off according to my expectations and I was free to enjoy the evening with family and friends.
We truly can not thank Greg enough for this wonderful evening. -

Matt and Victoria's wedding was the second time we called upon The Millennium Center to serve as the venue for a full service reception. In addition, we held the rehearsal dinner downstairs at the Speakeasy venue. Greg spent a lot of time with Matt and Victoria making sure that the events would be designed and set up the way they wanted them to be. Greg and his staff could not have done more to make the events memorable for our son and new daughter-in-law. The events were specifically tailored to what Matt and Victoria wanted, and both reflected their individual personalities and tastes. The spaces were beautifully decorated and appointed; the food was delicious and plentiful; the bars were open and available; and there was no shortage of staff ready to provide assistance. On top of all of that, the events came in on budget. One cannot ask for more than we received. -

Greg was great to work with as well as his staff! He was very accommodating with our meetings and schedules. He made the reception planning piece very easy. He was able to provide all that we needed and saved us hundreds of dollars!
The day of our wedding was beautiful. The place was decorated like a palace! The drapery was perfect, they had the tables organized so that our party of 300 had plenty of space to party! The food was amazing and the staff was great! They were very flexible and our friends loved them. (It's been 4 months and my friends are still talking about the servers! )
I would definitely recommend the Millennium Center! They have the best value and they provide great service and food. I went to several locations, did a cross comparison on excell and they were by far the best! -

We didn't have our ceremony at the Millennium Center, just the reception for our wedding. My family is Mexican and we hold very long parties and these folks were very helpful with EVERYTHING we needed. From setting up the mannny tables we needed to restocking ASAP with beverages as needed throughout the night. The staff working that night were all very friendly and respectful to my guests and family and responded quickly with things we needed throughout the night. They even returned some beverages back to us that were left over and prepaid for! This venue was beautiful and we're very happy how everything turned out. Thanks a bunch ya'll. :) -

We cannot say enough GREAT things about Greg and his staff at the Millennium Center. We had a large wedding of over 300 people and made if through the whole thing stress free with Greg's help! To start, the venue is break taking! An old Federal building that has been restored into a beautiful venue with the best lighting, sound system, and staff around! We had a unique sports themed wedding that the Millennium Center help make everything we ever dreamed of and more! We met multiple times with Greg and the staff to iron out details and finalized plans. The venue was open to us all day prior to set up. When we arrived for the reception Greg had made special reserved parking spots for us and for our close family members. When we walked in, we couldn't believe our eyes, it was just perfect inside! Everything was set up as we has discussed, the food was unbelievable and the professionalism of the staff was second to none! At the conclusion of the night, Greg kept all our belonging for our parents to go back the next day, when things had slowed down, and collect. To top matters off, almost three weeks out from our wedding, we still have family and friends commenting on what a great time they had and how beautiful the Millennium center was! We couldn't be more pleased with our decision to have our event at the Millennium Center and would recommend every bride at least go check it out! Thank you Greg, Cynthia, and the rest of the staff for helping make our dream a reality! -

I had my wedding at the Millennium Center in October an I couldn't have asked for a more beautiful venue. When I saw everything set up in their gorgeous ballroom, I was so emotional because the staff did such an excellent job. They will bend over backwards for you and help you with whatever you need. They continually were making changes for me and doing whatever I requested with no complaints. The owner, Greg was wonderful to work with and overwhelmingly generous in his services. All my guests went on and on about the food and how delicious it was. I seriously couldn't say enough good things about this place. I really felt like they were trying to make our day special and not trying to just find a ton of little things or hourly charges to make a profit. One of my favorite things was the salon that Greg has with huge mirrors that made getting ready so much fun. He even let us use the salon the night before to get ready for the rehearsal dinner. I really enjoyed working with everyone and I can't imagine my wedding being anywhere else!! -

Greg and his staff at Millennium Center always pull off a showstopper event. Not only do they ensure that all of the brides desires are heard and attended to, they are also flexible and able to roll with whatever punches occur on the day/evening of the event...all with a smile on their faces. This might seem like a no-brainer but I assure you that it is pretty rare.
As an event planner, I only recommend the best of the best to my brides and their families. Millennium Center is at the top of my list for every single one. When I look to MC for an event, I know that not only are they going to provide an amazing space with a top-notch sound system, extraordinary lighting capabilities, and unrivaled customer service, I also have no doubt that the food their catering division prepares will be out of this world!!
Choosing Millennium center isn't just choosing a venue and a caterer...it's choosing an experience! -

Oh my!! It was an amazing weekend! The entire experience--from wandering in off the street just "nosing around" and being greeted as though we'd had an appointment-- to picking up our incidentals the week after the wedding--just amazing!! Greg, Cindy and John were easy to work with and always open to anything we wanted to try. They would take our ideas and turn them into magic! Truly! We had a rehearsal party of 125 people, a wedding of 250, and a brunch on Sunday morning for 125--they handled all 3 events with professionalism AND personalism!! Just so much fun!! We came in strangers to them, and left as though we'd been friends for years! It was so much fun, that I would like to work with them and help spread the joy they shared with ALL our families!!! They worked endless hours that weekend and also held 3 other events and never once missed a beat!!! Perfect 10's on everything!! -

Words cannot express our deep appreciation for what the staff did to give our daughter the wedding of her dreams. From the first day we met they were attentive to every detail,listened to our wishes,and dreams, and offered great suggestions that enhanced the overall experience. The Millennium Center is a "people-first" kind of business and they recognize that to the fullest. The hands-on approach to dealing with customers is truly fantastic. They have a extraordinary gift in putting everyone at ease, and then most importantly delivering(actually over-delivering) on your promises. On top of all that, the VALUE of the food and services they provide is tremendous. The venue in and of itself is amazing. The charm and history that it exudes gives the perfect ambiance for a wedding to remember. The high ceilings, the antique light fixtures, the marble floors in the ball room, the marble through out the perimeter areas, and the scattering of the various bars and vestibules where people can congregate and spread out, are simply the finishing touches.

We actually had myson's Rehearsal Dinner in the Speak Easy at the Millennium Center. The event was better than I ever dreamed and Greg and his staff were delightful with which to work with lots of ideas and concern. -

The Millennium Center was the perfect venue for our wedding. The downtown atmosphere was perfect for us and our guests. The courtroom and ballroom were absolutely beautiful and needed little decoration from us. The staff was wonderful, went above and beyond what we expected. They were courteous, efficient and met every need we had the day of the event. We had several compliments after the wedding about how good the food was. It was a perfect day with the help of everyone there. I would absolutely recommend the Millennium Center to anyone for their special day. -

The Millennium Center was the ideal place for our wedding. Greg and the rest of the Millennium center staff exceeded our expectations completely! I had the wedding of my dreams thanks to my family and the Millennium Center. I still have people raving about our reception. The food was simply delicious. The Millennium Center is Winston Salem's prime event location. I am from the area, but my husband is from NYC so his friends and family were expecting alot. This venue went above and beyond to make our day unforgettable! Greg and his staff are a cut above the rest. You won't find anything like this is in our area! -

We were thrilled with our reception at The Millennium Center. From the beginning we had great communication via email and had many face-to-face meetings as well. Greg Carlyle, the owner, was so helpful in taking us around the venue and describing the different ways we could utilize the space. Greg and his staff were always willing to go the extra mile to please us.
Greg and his staff prepared a wonderful tasting for my family, fiance, and I. He was even willing to tweak current dishes and create new dishes if we desired. It was hard to choose between all of the tasty things we tried.
We loved that The Millennium Center was already equipped with tables, chairs, plates, glasswear, serveware, basic tablecloths & napkins, and silverware - all of which were beautiful. It was great that we didn't have to rent these items. Additionally The Millennium Center coordinated well with the rental company that provided our table overlays. It was also easy for all of our other vendors to coordinate delivery and set up (florist, cake, band).
We felt comfortable leaving the execution and setup up to The Millennium Center, and we were not disappointed. The tables, drapes, and other decor were set up perfectly. We also appreciated the extra little things they did to make the reception so beautiful like special lighting and extra votive candles. These design touches really completed everything. The reception and food service went very smoothly.
I wouldn't have changed a thing!

There is no better place in town to have a wedding reception. Greg and all of the staff go way above and beyond to make sure everything is how you want and have excellent ideas to make your night memorable. Our night could not have gone more flawlessly and we had several guests comment that it was the nicest wedding reception they had ever attended! -

Greg and his staff were extremely helpful to us. Their willingness to make everything exactly as we wanted it was awesome. The food was excellent, the facilities were beautiful, and the decor was outstanding. I would definitely recommend using the catering services of the Millennium Center along with the decor and setup that they offered. My daughter’s wedding day was one of the greatest days of my life and the most fun I have ever had. That was only possible because of the Millennium Center. I have dined and/or attended many events at so called four and five star facilities. None of them hold a candle to Millennium Center. You are ten star, top drawer, over the top fantastic. Some of the best food I have ever eaten (seconded by the dozens of people that went back for seconds and thirds of the shrimp and grits, beef tenderloin and turkey with out of this world gravy). Best quality food and bar of any wedding reception I have ever attended. Jerome (your chef) is the bomb – super nice guy and great talent. The entire staff had such a complete consumer satisfaction focus and attention to detail that I was totally blown away.
The facility was great as well. It was beautifully decorated and the floor plan allows for such flexibility (band had its own dressing room; newlyweds had a private area to regroup, etc. before the wedding party was introduced; early arrivers at the reception were served appetizers and drinks in the lobby before the ball room was open.) And the ballroom- wow! Perfect for a band, plenty of room to dance, tons of tables (there was a seat available for every single guest) and still plenty of room for the buffet stages. All of this at a very, very reasonable price.
Anyone having a wedding reception in Winston-Salem would be crazy to go anywhere else. I just wish I had another daughter so I could do it again!
Greg, kudos to you and all of your family and staff that made this such a great day in our lives. You are the best!

I used the Millennium Center for our reception venue. The building and facilities are top of the line. As a reception venue, they also provide full catering and beverage services. The food selection was great and the service provided in those areas was fantastic. They also have beautiful lighting as well as audio equipment that our DJ was able to plug into and utilize. There is not question I would recommend using The Millennium Center for any bride looking for a fabulous reception with top of the line service, facilities and catering. -

Greg and the entire team at the Millennium Center were wonderful. They went above and beyond to accommodate my every request. The reception turned out more beautifully and elegant than I could have ever imagined. We received SO many compliments from our guests about how amazing our wedding was and great the food was. Everything was perfect and the entire reception went off with out a hitch. I wish we could repeat the night every weekend. The Millennium Center is hands down the best venue in Winston-Salem, and we looked at several. This place is unique and can accommodate any bride on her wedding day. -

Of all the many services we used for our only daughter’s wedding, The Millennium Center was the best decision we made. Working with Greg Carlyle was such a pleasure. We wanted it all, the look, the best food, and the staff that would make it happen. This location is large with plenty of room for a large reception with dancing. They even have a full salon for the bride and bridesmaids to get ready. Out of the many, many locations we considered, the Millennium Center was the most flexible; and the only one to provide the details we needed to make our decision. The Millennium Center fulfilled all special requests we had, no matter how big or small. Attention to detail, flexibility and their customer service were exquisite. They provided the eloquent, yet fun, event we had hoped for. Their experience was most evident. I would encourage anyone planning a wedding in the area to visit The Millennium Center. I’m a perfectionist and I was beyond impressed. -

For our wedding, we wanted to find a unique venue. We visited MANY different places and I knew of quite a few since I had been a banquet manager at a local hotel for over 7 years. When we went into the Millennium Center to look around, we were amazed with the style and architecture of the facility. We then contacted the owner, Greg Carlyle, and boy, were we even more amazed! Greg was spectacular! He had tons of ideas for us & fulfilled everything he promised & so much more for our wedding! We could not have been more pleased with the facility, the staff, and the food. The Millennium Center staff made sure that our wedding exceeded our every expectation! Greg and Kaitlyn are AMAZING to work with, and make everything incredibly easy. They were patient, knowledgeable, professional, and courteous during every interaction. We had both our ceremony and reception on-site, and each space is incredibly flexible and beautiful. Since they have all the rentals you will need and on-site catering, it makes wedding planning SO much easier and affordable. Many items that other sites will charge extra for come standard here. The food is delicious, and the chef can take any idea you have and make it a reality. The entire staff went to great lengths to make sure that our wedding day was fun and stress-free. I highly recommend the Millennium Center for your wedding! -
