You Will Be Amazed!

My husband and I had an exceptional experience with The Merion when we held our wedding reception here in April 2022. Our coordinator Calli did an outstanding job with making sure everything ran smoothly for our special day. The food, service, and amenities were all top notch. Over a year later, our friends and relatives still talk about the fantastic cuisine, the beautiful Skylight Ballroom, and all the fun. We had the perfect wedding reception thanks to The Merion and their amazing staff.

Daughters wedding

Dream Wedding

I got married Oct. 7 and The Merion provided me with the wedding of my dreams! Holly, Nick, and all the staff were amazing! Holly made the entire year of planning smooth. Day of the wedding, none of the staff allowed me to stress! They were so accommodating that one of biggest compliments I received is how kind the staff was to my guests. I wish I could get married again just to experience the fun all over again at The Merion.

A Wonderful Partnership for our Gala

We had a wonderful experience at The Merion for our largest fundraiser held annually. This was the first time we held this event at The Merion and it went off seamlessly. Our Merion contact was Stephanie and she was phenomenal with handling our event with the details and accommodations needed to support us. Her partnership in the planning was so helpful and things ran so smoothly because of her taking into account our needs and constantly following up with us. Our Executive Team received countless amounts of compliments on the venue, the variety of the delicious food and the staff. Dream wedding!

From the moment I attended a wedding at the Merion, I knew this is where I wanted mine to be. From our initial meeting and tour to the numerous connections and events such as bridal shows and venue showcases, the Merion team was AMAZING to work with! Shout out to Holly and Chelsea for being the best dynamic duo to help plan and coordinate our wedding. The cocktail hour offerings alone made us say yes at first but all the food was DELICIOUS. The timing of service was incredible and all of the picture spots were magical. I wish I could do it all over again!!!

My perfect Wedding

Wow is all I can say about The Merion. I hired the Merion for my wedding and the way they coordinated everything was so professional and made my wedding planning process so stress free. I am so happy I decided to choose them as my venue. Literally nothing went wrong that day because of their professionalism. They gave me the option to use two ballrooms, one for my ceremony and the other for my reception. It made it so much easier for my vendors. Definitely consider The Merion for any big event that you are planning.

Best place to get married by a landslide

This is the best place to get married. My friends and family were blown away by the beauty, service, and food. I would highly recommend. Oh and I can go on ll day about their main representative Holly. My wedding was awesome because of her. I picked this place because of her warmth when I came for a tour as well. Do yourself a favor and have your wedding here!!

A Dream Come True

The Merion was the SECOND place we looked when searching for a venue for our wedding. I was immediately captures by the beauty and regality of the Skylight room and our search was over in one day! Holly was our Event Specialist and she was friendly from the start. I appreciate how she was always available to answer my questions any time of day or night. She even laughed at my corny jokes. She kept by our side during the ceremony and cocktail hour, and was so accommodating – helping us get food, drinks, and keeping our wedding party in check. Our server Maria and Maître d Scott were also wonderful, attentive, friendly, and fun to be around. The food was AMAZING and everyone kept telling how us this was the ‘best wedding ever’ all thanks to the staff at the Merion. They even had a couple of surprises throughout the night. Overall, the Merion made us feel so special, and made every dream we had for our wedding come true. THANK YOU to everyone who made my dreams since I was a kid possible – we are forever grateful and can’t wait to renew our vows at the Merion in 20 years!

The merion helped give us our dream wedding

We had the most perfect wedding at the Merion, all of our friends and families were raving about the gorgeous venue, friendly service, and incredible venetian dessert display. Our coordinator was Stephanie, and she was amazing. Perfect Day

My wife and I got married at the Merion in October of 2022 and it was absolutely AMAZING.

From the first time we walked in to the venue to the time we were departing on the day of our wedding there's only one way to describe how the Merion treated us: They treated us like "Family".

Stephanie Lamberti was our event specialist for our wedding and she was always accessible, extremely easy to work with and made our day extra special.

I would highly recommend this venue and Stephanie to anyone that is looking for a stress free and beautiful wedding!

Best night ever!!

The Merion really made our wedding day feel like a dream come true and more. They went above and beyond to make our night so special. The food was spectacular. I can’t even begin to describe how amazing it all was. There staff even had everything boxed and walked out to our cars the next morning of things we left behind. My wedding was perfect!

Everything and Everyone at the Merion was amazing. My coordinator was Calli and she was the best. She was very responsive and got back to me in a timely manner. She kept me so calm the day of the wedding. She was very prompt and kept me on schedule. Wayne was awsome too! All my guests raved about the beauty and how clean the Merion was. There was so much food, and my guest were stuffed by time dinner came.

Love this venue.

Absolutely beautiful venue. Each ballroom has its own distinctive style with numerous photo ops for lasting memories. Callie, the manager working with us was professional and very responsive to our questions and requests. We can’t say enough nice things about her and how she tried to meet our needs for the wedding day.. We definitely recommend the Merion as a wedding venue as it offered so much in physical beauty as well as sumptuous food offerings with good value. The outdoor ceremony area was also what fairytales are made of. Love this venue.

Book the merion now!

Writing this review is difficult because there are truly no words to explain how amazing the ENTIRE staff at The Merion was, from booking all the way up to the end of the night. My husband and I looked at each other a few times throughout the wedding day and said to ourselves that we couldn’t believe this was OUR wedding. Our wedding coordinator, Chelsea, was beyond amazing. Constantly checking in with us to make sure we were good and everything we wanted was done to perfection. THE FOOD at The Merion is truly UNMATCHED. Our entire wedding was blown away at how much food there was and how amazing everything was. Each plate came out so hot and fresh (there was over 120 people) and cooked like they were dining privately. We dropped off our decorations/ signage to them on our rehearsal day and everything was put out exactly (if not better) how we pictured it. There is seriously no other venue who would go above and beyond the way The Merion did and I will now be convincing everyone I know to have their wedding there. I would give them 10000/10 if I could. We could not be happier with our decision to have our wedding there.

Best Wedding I

My husband and I got married here on August 13, 2022. This amazing venue made our day everything that we thought it would be and much, much more! The entire process- from touring the venue, to choosing the menu, wine selection, hotel, seating arrangements, decorations, and more... were all made so easy with the help of Calli! We ran most of our ideas by Calli and she was always so quick to respond, open and honest with us on how everything would come together.

The day of staff, especially Calli, Wayne, Maria, and Joann (to name a few) were all SO attentive, kind, and helpful.

Our guests loved our wedding! Everyone could not stop talking about the endless food that we had at cocktail hour and the Viennese dessert table. The ballroom was the perfect size for our 180 guest count and we honestly couldn't have pictured our day to go any better than it did.

Fairytale wedding at The Merion

The Merion has made our dream wedding come true! We were supposed to get married in May 2020, but had to postpone due to COVID. Throughout the entire experience (including 3 postponements), they were so patient, kind, accommodating, and encouraging. Calli, our wedding coordinator, was so informative and flexible - she made sure we had everything we could have wanted. We (with our family and friends), had the most incredible ceremony in the garden, followed by a delicious cocktail hour (more food than I've ever seen before), and a reception. The Merion worked so well with us to make it super personal and welcoming. We could not have made a better choice with The Merion!! I would recommend it to everyone!!

Wonderful!!! I'm still tired!!

The Merion is such a gorgeous place to celebrate your Wedding Day! The grounds are so pretty and the staircase is absolutely stunning! We had our reception in the Starlight Ballroom, and it DID NOT disappoint! Everyone had such a great time! The food was amazing, and there was so much of it too! The staff are super kind and will go out of their way to help you with whatever you need! I highly recommend any event here!!

Nothing short of amazing

The Merion exceeded my expectations! From start to finish, the entire team worked their butts off to ensure we had the most amazing wedding. Due to the pandemic, we had to postpone twice. The Merion allowed us to have a small ceremony in another ballroom and still allowed us to do our reception in our main ballroom (The Palazzo).

Wedding experience

We just had our wedding at the Merion. What a beautiful venue! The food was fantastic and the staff was extremely helpful. The day of our wedding it was 70 degrees no humidity. The night of our wedding it seemed like the heat was on inside the Merion. I was sweating the entire time during my cocktail hour which completely ruined my hair. So as the bride, the rest of my pictures looked awful. I had several guests say how hot it was as well. My bridal suite was hot as well, even with the fan on. This was my only complaint the night of our wedding. Everything else was great.

This venue was outstanding!

This venue was outstanding!! Although the planning process went a little awry in terms of communication, the night turned out to be phenomenal! The service all night was on point--anything that I needed or my guests needed was handled, the food was awesome as well as the variety of selection, and the overall beauty of the venue just made the night that much more magical. All of my guests raved about the great night, and still continue to tell us how amazing it was. I honestly could not have had a more perfect wedding, thanks to the wonderful people at the Merion.

They gave me the wedding of my dreams.

There are not enough positive things I can say about The Merion. This venue is hands down, without hesitation, the SPOT to get married. From beginning to end, The Merion took care of us and guided us through the process perfectly. Adrianna Petrongolo was our coordinator and she was an absolute GEM! I felt like her and I have been friends for years. She answered so many of my questions, addressed any concerns I may have had along the way and accommodated us in every which way we needed. She is super professional and knowledgeable and it was an absolute joy to work with her.

If you tell anyone that you are getting married at The Merion, the first thing they will probably talk to you about is the food. I've never been to The Merion until my wedding and I only ever heard from others how incredible the food/spread was. To then see it for myself (at my wedding as much as I could) was just unreal. Cocktail hour? You kidding?... KILLER. Dinner...DELICIOUS. They decorated our room to absolute perfection, as well.

The service was dynamite, the staff was friendly, fun, helpful and on top of EVERYTHING. There were so many surprises; I never felt so special before. I felt like a celebrity. I was so sad when the night ended... I still want to re-live that day. The Merion gave me and my husband the wedding of our dreams. I know our guests will talk about it for years to come. We swear that no one will top our wedding and we owe the majority of that to this venue.

The Merion is the best!!

My husband and I got married in the Skylight Ballroom on 9/21/19. We couldn’t have asked for a better venue. It was simply amazing. The room as beautiful and the staff was so attentive and kind to everyone. The food was amazing, and the Merion even had some surprises for my husband and I. This was a nice touch which really meant a lot to us. All our guests are still raving about how wonderful our wedding was. I was a little nervous that you might be able to hear other events happening in the other ballrooms, but that was not the case at all. It felt like our wedding was the only one going on that night. I am so glad we chose this venue.

A HUGE thank you to Stephanie at the Merion for all the hard work she did making our wedding day the best day ever. She is great to work with. She was so helpful to us in planning our big day. Always more than happy to answer any questions my husband and I had.

Not enough words could describe how happy I am.

The venue from start to finish has awed us and went beyond our expectations. Our event specialist, Jolene, was amazing and was there for every moment and every panic attack. She was amazing and I'm so happy she took care of us from start to finish. She took care of everything and made sure me enjoyed our day, stressfree. We had the Skylight Ballroom and I absolutely loved how it came out!!! Our Maitre d'- Alex made sure everything was okay through the whole night. Our Bridal Attendant- Desiree was amazing and was there for me from start to finish along with our Maitre D'. They kept us fed and hydrated in the bridal suite before the ceremony.
Each of them constantly asked if we needed anything and told us to enjoy the night. Even down to the bartenders, we couldn't be happier with our wedding venue and those involved. The food was amazing and everyone loved the food and was BLOWN AWAY by how delish everything was.
We ended up having a dozen people not show up (all who had RSVP'd that they were coming, btw) and I just asked if we could have the meals to go home as we paid for the 12 people regardless. They also packed up some dessert for us too! They were fantastic. Packed up everything for us for the next day, ready for us to pickup.

Isgro: wedding cake (included with venue). Our cake was delish and beautifully done. We had it packaged up for people to take home and ate it a couple days later and still gave us compliments on how delish and how moist it was!

The second you walk in, it’s hard to not feel like “this is it.” Not only is the venue completely beautiful inside and out, the staff has been such a joy to reach out to, it was completely shocking when I found out it was in budget!

Amazing Venue For Our Wedding

We had our Wedding Ceremony and Reception at the Merion. The ceremony was held in the Palazzo Ballroom and the Reception was in the Skylight Ballroom.
The Merion went above and beyond our expectations. Nicole was our event specialist through the whole process from originally selecting the venue to the final details of the night. The whole process was made effortless with her assistance.
The event occurred on a Friday night and everything was flawless. The waitstaff was polite and accommodating in every way. They went out of their way to ensure that every guest was taken care of.

Simply Fabulous and Amazing!

Well what can I say except for THANK YOU AND AMAZING! Jolene and her fabulous team at The Merion truly went above and beyond for our wedding on 9/22/19! Jolene was just so amazing to work with through out the entire planning process, especially since it wasn’t my favorite thing planning a wedding she was there through it all! She made sure everything was spelled out and on time and convenient for us! We were truly amazed and blessed to have Jolene as our event specialist! We started out with Alyssa but after she left we were super lucky to have Jolene as head of our team! She is just one of the kindest people and was very easy to work with! All the staff at The Merion are great and our day of staff was just totally fabulous! Everyone was on top of everything and our guests were just blown away with the amount of food and drink and the taste! And of course the service! Our bridal attendant and head servers were so attentive and made sure we had everything we needed or wanted at all times. It’s already been a month since our wedding and our guests are still talking about how great and beautiful everything was and how much food and how tasty it was. You just can’t go wrong in choosing this beautiful, versatile venue and if you get Jolene as your event specialist you’re in luck because she’s AWESOME! Thank you t all the Merion staff for making our dream wedding come true! We can’t wait to attend another event at your fabulous venue! Thank you to all of you especially Jolene!

Absolutely Fantastic

From The very beginning of the planning to the day of the Wedding, Stephanie. was absolutely fantastic and took a care of every detail. On the day of my son’s wedding Stephanie was there to make sure that everything went as planned. Stephanie and her staff were Great. From the ceremony to the cocktail hour to the reception, the service and just the overall look of the Marion made for a very memorable day and evening. If you are looking to have a very memorable wedding I would highly recommend The Merion.

Stunning Venue & Excellent Catering!!! (Indian & American weddings)

Matt and I used the Merion for our two weddings on October 4th and October 5th (Indian and American). The Indian wedding was at Skylight ballroom and the American ceremony and reception was was at North Garden and Palazzo ballroom, respectively. The place is absolutely stunning!!! The picture will come out beautiful at this venue.

The entire staff is responsive, professional, and do everything above-and-beyong to make your wedding day perfect! Maitre D, captain, bridal attendant were great! They added rose parade and champagne tower as a surprise.

I worked with Jolene Cross, the event specialist. She is excellent!!! I did not feel the need to hire a planner or a coordinator because Jolene was so friendly and helpful throughout the planning process - both Indian and American. On the days of the wedding, she made sure everything runs smoothly according to the plan and timeline. She even bustled my bridal gown. She treated me like her best friend!

Last but not least, many thank you to the chef! The Merion fully catered both Indian and American wedding. The chef cooked up delicious indian entrances, vegetarian entrees, along with American entrees for both weddings and cocktail hour!!! My guests are still raving about vegetarian food at the Indian wedding. He even made Indian desserts for the wedding. A few guests asked for recipes. Indian Station at the cocktail hour was a big hit (chick peas with potato patties - three chutneys, curried vegetables and chili cauliflower). Paneer tikka masala entree tasted delicious!. The upvass potatoes (Fasting meal) was great! My wedding ended up with 7 main course entree options. The food was served hot even with such a large menu. The viennese hour display was out of the world! The Merion chef accommodated every request. I recommend people not to bring outside caterers for Indian food. The Merion chef will do an excellent job!

Matt and I had a great experience at the Merion. We highly recommend their 5-stars service!!!

Best venue

WOW, what an amazing wedding venue! From the moment that Taylor and I walked in the door and saw how absolutely beautiful the Merion is, we knew we were going to get married there. We toured the venue in February of 2018 and ended up getting married in August 2019. Taylor and I actually changed our desired wedding date so that we could make the wedding happen at the Merion! From seeing the entrance way to the ballroom, everything is breath taking.
Everything the day of went so smoothly and seamlessly. We were one of three weddings that day and we only ran into one other wedding once (because we went outside to take photos at nighttime). To this day, my guests are raving about the venue. I keeping hearing about how amazing the cocktail hour and dinner food was. As the bride and groom, we unfortunately didn't get to eat any and hope to attend a wedding at the Merion one day to experience it!
I want to shout out some of the amazing people who work at the Merion -
Nicole is seriously such a gem. I am so happy she was our day of coordinator. We ended up meeting her in February 2018 and from that moment on, Nicole became one of my biggest helpers through the wedding planning process. She helped me every step of the way and always responded to my texts/emails/calls. She honestly feels like a family friend to us.
Samuel, who was our maitre d, who was incredible. Every time I turned around and needed something - he was there to ask me what he could do. I frequently saw him running around the venue throughout the night because he wanted to make sure something was done correctly, I forgot something else, he needed to grab us something, etc.. Samuel truly wonderful!
Adrianna who filled in for Nicole when she was with another client - also such a sweetheart! We loved working with her for the short time and were very excited to see her on our wedding day.
Marian, who worked as our captain, was great. I saw her making sure all details were correct just prior to guests entering the ballroom.
All in all, we are so beyond thrilled with our decision to get married at the Merion. We had the best time and made amazing memories there. We can't think of a more perfect place to have our most important day. We are hopeful to be "guests" there one day and experience the Merion magic!!

Excellent!!

The Merion's staff was excellent! Checked on my bridal party throughout the entire experience, provided anything requested of them. My bridesmaids were ready to walk down the aisle when I realized I left their bouquets at home. Jolene immediately calmed me down and had the staff pulled fresh flowers from around the building. I WAS impressed and ironically they matched the ladies gowns. I'd recommend The Merion to anyone who's looking for a beautiful venue and great staff. My wedding was July 7 and we're still getting compliments from our guest.

Best Customer Service EVER

When we first sat down with our Wedding Coordinator, we were not ready for everything the Merion had to offer. They spoke to us about the menu while serving Champagne, fruit, giant shrimp, and even some desserts. The menu was easily 10 pages and almost everything was included!
When it came time to finalize payments, they worked with me allowing me to pay late for guests that had extreme medical issues. They were super accommodating about everything when it came to our wedding.
The big day ran smoothly and all my guest continue to rave about how amazing the venue and the food was.
This is a must pick venue for sure. You will not be disappointed.

The best!

Where do I even begin. When my mom, sister and I initially went to the merion to see if I wanted to have my wedding there, it was basically a no brainer. The venue is gorgeous and when we met with Nicole who gave us a tour and showed us the menu of all the food I knew we had to have our wedding there. We had the palace ballroom which is an absolutely beautiful and classic looking room. Nicole was outstanding through the entire process. Our engagement was almost a year and a half long and she was wonderful in communicating with me - she would literally email me back same day or next day any time I emailed her about anything. She was also great in communicating with my other vendors. She is very organized and made everything so easy for me!!! She was also an amazing support when any stressors came up during planning. She helped to make our wedding day literally everything we wanted it to be. I talked to cliff and Dave a few times throughout the process as well and they were both nice as could be!! The food at our wedding was INSANE. All of our guests were raving about the huge variety of food choices and how amazing everything tasted!! While my husband and I didn’t have much time to eat since we were talking to everyone, I did still get to enjoy some of my dinner which was delicious. The portions they give you are insane and they send you home with a ton as well (so at least now my husband and I will get to enjoy the delicious food at home!) Our bridal attendant (deb), Maitre D’ (nick) and captain (dee) took care of my husband and I on the day of (helped to get us anything we needed) and were right there getting us anything we needed and making sure we were happy and taken care of the entire night. They were just amazing and my husband and I were blown away with how taken care of we felt. Unforgettable Wedding

I can't say enough about how much we loved working with The Merion. As a gay couple we wanted a venue who wouldn't treat us any differently. From our first visit, we felt at home and welcomed. Nicole and Stephanie worked with us throughout this process and were both perfect. They paid attention to every detail, established great communication and tailored our wedding to suit our every need (no matter how out of the box our requests were). Our guests RAVED about the food and loved how beautiful the venue itself was. It was the perfect location for our wedding, the Palazzo ballroom will always hold a special place in our hearts.

From the moment we stepped through their doors we felt like the King and Queen. Our families and guests were also treated like royalty! People are still raving about our food and how great everything was. There were plenty of glamours opportunities for photos and our pictures came out stunning!
Sue was our consultant and she felt like family from the first time we met. Her excitement for our wedding was so genuine and we were so grateful to have her with us that day. WE LOVE SUE!!! We also have to mention Cliff, who put some special finishing touches on our wedding and made the evening extra special. He made sure the event was perfect and made sure the Bride was satisfied!

How do I even begin?! My wedding was on Friday, December 8, 2017, and I have been procrastinating writing this review, because every time I sit down to write it, I feel so incredibly overwhelmed with emotion! My wedding day was HANDS DOWN the absolute BEST day of my entire life thus far, and I have THE MERION to thank for this! I worked with ALYSSA Dettorre, and she went ABOVE AND BEYOND to ensure we had the most perfect day possible! From the moment I walked inside to tour the venue I got chills and goosebumps all over: I just KNEW it was special, but I was so afraid it would be too expensive. Then we sat down with Alyssa to go over the menu and pricing, and I was blown away by how affordable it is compared to similar venues, however we still did our due diligence in comparing venues: The Merion won out in every aspect each time! It is simply THE BEST event venue in all of South Jersey and Philadelphia area! They are beyond willing to accommodate your every need and desire, and they really care about making your biggests dreams a reality! They offer SO MUCH! Their cocktail hour menu is INCREDIBLE, their sit down dinner is equally incredible, all of the surprises they include for the bride and groom the day of the wedding...the list just goes on and on and on! I could shout from the mountain tops for the rest of my life how awesome this wedding venue is, and it still wouldn't be enough!!! Do yourself a favor and check this place out, because I promise you won't regret it. They are not just another wedding venue: they are in the business of making peoples DREAMS come TRUE, and they excel at it. Stephanie and everyone at the Merion literally made my wedding dreams come true. I could not have asked for a more beautiful or perfect location to begin the rest of our lives. I am just hoping someone else I know has a wedding there so that I can enjoy The Merion as a guest! Every time I thought it couldn't get any better, it did. They worked perfectly with our vendors and provided exceptional service. Even though this location was about an hour and a half from the church we had our ceremony at, EVERYONE we spoke to about it who came to the wedding said it was absolutely worth it! We had so many people say it was the best wedding they had ever been to, and although I may be biased since it was my wedding I have to agree, all thanks to the Merion!

The Merion is honestly top notch!! Negotiate people, they do work with you on meeting YOUR budget. When you walk in the door the amazing stair case greets you and your guests-absolutely gorgeous! The staff, especially, Stephanie, our coordinator, guided us through every step of the planning phase up to and including the "Big Day" for my son and daughter-in-law. Where do I begin? If I can give The Merion 10 starts, I absolutely would. My wedding was on September 16, 2017 and it was by far the most amazing day/experience of my life. From a little girl, I always said I would get married at Merion, and boy did I make the right decision. My guests are still calling me, raving about my wedding a month later. My wedding coordinator Ariana, made sure everything was absolutely perfect and was very responsive to my non-stop calls and emails. She put my mind at ease each time I spoke to her. The entire staff went above and beyond for us and made us feel like royalty. I asked for water, I had it in my hand a second later, I asked for a cocktail, they brought me five. The amount of food was endless and unbelievably delicious. I did not even get to see half of it. The Palazzo room looked absolutely breathtaking. No detail was overlooked. It was like a dream come true. I would highly recommend the Merion to all !!! You will thank me!!!!

My daughter got married at the Merion in July 2017. From beginning to end, the quality of service was outstanding. From the food to the decor to the staff I had not one complaint, The amount of food during the coctail hour, dinner and dessert tables was amazing. Not only was there an overabundance but all the guests raved about the taste of everything. The price we were quoted incuded everything so the Merion did not nickel and dime us for each station. There were no hidden costs!
I was concerned about being one of three weddings at the venue during the evening and our wedding coordinator from The Merion guaranteed us that we would not see other brides or guests from other weddings taking place and vice versa. This was absolutely true. I can not say enough about this venue and would highly recommend it.

The Merion was the first and only place we looked at while searching for a wedding venue. Everything was absolutely perfect from the initial consultation to the wedding night. It all ran so smoothly and this couldn't have been possible without the help of my awesome wedding coordinator, Steph. She is very professional and personable. She takes the time to meet her clients and accommodates to their needs and requests. We had several meetings with Steph leading up to the wedding date and each time we reviewed all of the information, assuring we were all on the same track. As for the wedding, we had our reception outdoors at The North Garden. Absolutely beautiful! Cocktail hour was filled with all sorts of food which all of my guests raved about. The reception was everything we could ask for! The staff members that night were exceptional and very attentive. The dinner was delicious and dessert hour was out of this world. The whole venue itself is immaculate. You will not be disappointed by choosing The Merion! It is well worth every penny!

Sue and the fantastic staff at The Merion went above & beyond our expectations on our wedding day of Saturday April 1st, 2017in the chapel & The Skylight Ballroom. We were the only event at The Merion that day and the service was superb!!! All of our guests had the most amazing time with the drinks, food and enviroment!! I really cannot say enough wonderful things about the merion. They did an absolute fabulous job with our reception, from the first time I sat down with Alyssa to a year and half later to our wedding night. Alyssa was extremely professional and went above and beyond to fit our needs. All our guests raved and still are about how great the food and everything was at the merion. Everyone commented how great the cocktail hour was, the bacon bar was a huge hit. The Merion is not only beautiful they cater to your every needs. I don't have one single regret, except I wish I had time to eat more! The Merion is worth every penny! I can't thank Alyssa and Cliff enough!!

My son had his wedding at the Merion. He knew he wanted to have it there as soon as we looked at it. We had looked at several other places and none compared to what the Merion offered for the same price.The new outdoor garden was beautiful for the ceremony . The skylight room was perfect. The staff was terrific. We worked with Stephanie. She was easy to work with and very helpful. Everything was perfect from start to finish. If your looking for a venue this is the one to choose. The food was outstanding and so much of it at cocktail hour, dinner, and the desserts . People still are talking about how much they enjoyed the wedding there and how good the food was. Thanks to Stephanie and the staff at the Merion they had a fairy tale wedding.

My husband and I had our Wedding Reception at the Merion in the Palace Ballroom. Stephanie was our coordinator and she's just fabulous! She helped us make decisions throughout the whole process and explained every detail all while being easy to work with and always getting the job done. We couldn't be happier with the service that Steph and the Merion provided. Our guests raved about the food and how elegant and classy the ambiance was. The food at the Merion is high quality and delicious, from cocktail hour, to the formal dinner into cake and desserts and all the way through to the pork sandwiches given to our guests as they left our wedding. The shrimp cocktail at the seafood station was HUGE and cooked perfectly and the crab cakes were full of flavor! Exactly what you expect when seafood is served at an event (so worth it!). They gave my husband and me our entrée dishes which included each of the 3 entrees. What a classy touch, we were thrilled, the filet mignon was tender and went perfect with the mashed potatoes, the branzino was delicate and melted right in your mouth and the chicken forestshire was amazing. In my opinion, the Merion is the place to have an event; their food is always top-notch, their liquor is top shelf (and they actually put the right amount of liquor in your drink), the service is wonderful and the ambiance is truly elegant and classy. Our family has had 3 big events at the Merion, my sister and brother-in-law were married in the Palazzo Ballroom in 2010, my bridal shower was in the Skylight Ballroom and my wedding in the Palace Ballroom. Needless to say, our family cannot wait to plan another event at the Merion one day.

Our experience with The Merion could not have been better! They really know how to wow you on your first visit, but I can attest that the service and end result were just as thoughtful and fabulous.

Sue is the greatest! My husband and I live in Oregon, so you can imagine it might have been tough to plan a wedding cross-country. Not with Sue! Sue was gracious in responding quickly and thoughtfully to my many questions. She cared about how our day went and was genuinely happy for us. Towards the end of our planning, I slowed down on asking questions - I felt confident Sue and the Merion staff would have everything under control, and they certainly did! In addition to Sue, we had WONDERFUL experiences working with Rich (banquet manager), Samuel (maitre'd), Debbie (head server), Diane and Kim (pastry chefs), and Cliff (manager).

As for the wedding night, the space and evening turned out to be absolutely stunning, and we could not have been happier with the end result. Guests were wowed by the beauty of the space, and the Palace Ballroom was the perfect size for our group. One small thing we noticed the night of was that the chandelier shook slightly from activity in the upstairs ballroom. Our friends who did notice were excited - they said we "were all dancing so hard, we shook the chandelier." :) All of the food was delicious and abundant! Debbie brought us one of each entree on our plates - it was a really thoughtful touch. The following morning, we found the staff had boxed up our forgotten leftovers as well as a tray of dessert!

All in all, we had a terrific experience with The Merion, would use them again, and highly recommend them.

Working with Stephanie at the Merion was so easy and the Merion staff made our day absolutely perfect. Once we saw the Merion, we knew that no other venue would compare. The amount and quality of food was talked about all night by each of our guests and the Merion was so flexible with helping us to create a Russian/American Wedding and mixing our culture in the way that food and alcohol is served (bottles on the table and extra tiered food on the tables). Each staff person was so lovely and you get the sense they are really a family there. Everything was perfect and the venue is beautiful. Seriously, go visit the venue and you will be blown away as we were.

Our wedding coordinator Stephanie has been SO helpful and kept us on track for everything, walking us through the due dates, picking our options, setting up tastings, etc. Thanks to Stephanie our wedding day went perfectly and she helped us resolve last minute missing attendees/wedding crashers at our wedding and ensured everything went smoothly. We loved the venue not only because it is beautiful but because of all the great food, open bar, and excellent service. All of our guests raved about how the food was amazing and that they were so full at the end of the night, they could barely dance lol. The Merion is hands down the best!

I hardly have the words to express how wonderful The Merion is. My husband and I got married last weekend in the Palazzo ballroom, and worked with Sue as our coordinator. She is OUTSTANDING!!!! My family and I are actually disappointed that we won't be seeing and talking to her anymore now that the wedding is over. While we worked most closely with Sue, everyone at The Merion was absolutely incredible! The day of the wedding, everything was flawless. All the little details that we discussed with Sue were taken care of. Alex, Val and Marion also worked with us on the day of the wedding, and they were also spectacular. They took care of us and made sure that we had the wedding of our dreams --- which we definitely did! Our guests are still raving about the food and the beauty of The Merion. Cocktail hour and dessert are above and beyond!!!!!! I would highly recommend The Merion!!! They are truly amazing in every single way!!

OMG! You won't know what you're missing until you have experienced the Merion. My mom and I attended their Bridal show and it was AMAZING! The food, the hospitality, the venue is GORGEOUS! We immediately scheduled a personal tour and booked soon after for my June wedding! PHENOMENAL!!!!! The waitstaff and Samuel were beyond what any bride and groom could expect. So attentive, courteous and just amazing! I highly recommend the Merion for any event!!! My husband and I are trying to find another reason to celebrate there.

You will never experience a better wedding than one at the Merion. The food is out of this world and doesn't stop until you are out of the building. (You can get sandwiches, pretzels, water on your way out!) The service is unlike any other and the place itself is gorgeous. I have been to quite a few weddings and have never been disappointed. I just had my wedding there and couldn't have been happier. No other venue holds a candle to The Merion. You may find something cheaper, but it is worth every penny to have your wedding here. We have not heard one guest have any negative feedback regarding our wedding. So much delicious food! The options are amazing and endless!!!! I hope everyone at some point gets to experience a wedding here, even if it's not their own! #bestdayever

Diane Fehder, the executive pastry chef from the Merion made my wedding cake and IT WAS AMAZING. We had a free cake consultation (we had to pay $15 for each of the mini cakes we tasted, but when we did decide to order a cake from her, the money we spent on the mini cakes was deducted from the wedding cake). I ordered an almond butter cake with raspberry jam and honey almond buttercream frosting. I can't wait to eat more on our first anniversary!

The Merion is absolutelly amazing. From the first day we went and booked this venue Vinny and Sue helped us in every way to make our day perfect. Starting with the cocktail hour, the food was deliscious. Sue was ontop of everything and made sure everything was organized. The actual reception and dessert hour was amazing. We absolutely LOVED having our wedding at The Merion! Sue made our planning process so fun and easy! She makes you feel like your wedding is the only one she's planning. We loved working with her! Alex helped to orchestrate the perfect wedding reception as well. His calm demeanor helped to keep me at ease, and he gave us good suggestions for our reception formalities. Cliff was excellent too! He helped to make sure my mom was enjoying herself and took care of anything she needed. All of the staff was friendly and seamlessly transitioned between each course. Maria was our head server. She is super nice and has a genuine personable demeanor. Our friends and family are still talking about our wedding! We can't wait to be a guest at someone else's wedding there! One of our friends even compared the dessert hour to Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory! lol =)

Stephanie was fantastic! everything my fiancé and I wanted we got and more! We don't have one complaint about our day. Alex was phenomenal that day making sure we had everything we needed and whatever we needed the staff searched for. I needed bobby pins for my hair and the staff dug some up! The second I walked into the Merion I was in love. We had our reception in the Palazzo ballroom which is beautiful! Sue was great and so easy to work with. She responded to emails/phone calls in a timely manner. She greeted me as soon as I arrived on the wedding day and was very organized in getting us to great picture spots before cocktail hour. The food at the Merion was AMAZING...all of our guests were raving about the Bacon station we had at cocktail hour. Everyone was very professional from start to finish. I could not ask for anything more...it was PERFECT. I would highly recommend this place...hope I get to attend a wedding there soon so I can enjoy more amazing food at cocktail hour and dessert! I can't begin to put into words how much I appreciate everything the Merion did for us throughout our entire wedding process. From beginning to end we were treated like royalty. Sue, our coordinator, is a complete doll and I can't say enough about her greatness. When my husband became sick prior to our original wedding date, Sue worked with us so we could focus on getting him better. As I sat on the phone in tears telling Sue about our entire ordeal, she scoured the internet trying to help me find both doctors and possible solutions to my husband’s illness. She sincerely cared about us as people and never pressured us to select a new date until we were ready. I don’t know what we would have done without the help of Sue and her whole team. There are not many people left in this world that have a heart quite like hers. Once my husband’s health began to improve (thanks to an amazing team of doctors) we selected a new date and Sue as always worked with us to make everything PERFECT!!!!!!! Our day was beautiful and the staff at the Merion is unbelievable. Thank you to everyone who worked so hard to create a wonderful experience for both ourselves and our guests. My husband and I had our reception at the Merion in the Palace Ballroom. It was so much more beautiful than I had ever imagined it would be!!! A lot of things at my wedding did not go as planned, but as soon as we got to the Merion everything seemed to fall into place. From the Grand Entrance where we took pictures to the exquisite service that night from the staff at the Merion, to the delicious food, and overall atmosphere of the Merion, I was beyond impressed. Prior to the wedding we had worked with Sue to set everything up and she was phenominal to work with. Sue was patient and answered every one of my 500 emails as we got closer to the wedding. On the day of the wedding when things are so overwhelming, the staff at the Merion were extremely welcoming and took care of me and the groom, making sure that we were where we were supposed to be for pictures and such, ensuring that the food was on our table when we sat down, and making us feel so special on our day! I would most definitely recommend the Merion as a vendor for anyone getting married in the area!

As parents of the bride, we would like to express our appreciation for a wonderful event that the Merion provided. Everything was perfect. We received many accolades from our guests. The staff was courteous and efficient and the facility and food were terrific. A special thanks goes to Stephanie for her coordination and Diane for the magnificent desserts. The only problem with the desserts was the difficulty in choosing from the wide selection and the number of diet plans that were broken. I can't say enough about the Merion! The professionalism, the beauty of the venue, the flexibility with options... Their staff is incomparable and the service a delight. This place is run like a well oiled machine! All of my guests have RAVED about our wedding, and could not believe the food selections. The cocktail hour alone was enough to fill every guest. Guys... We had our wedding in the garden, then our reception in the Skylight ballroom. It is absolutely stunning! Guests are STILL talking about two things: the food, and how beautiful this facility is. You have to see it in person to truly appreciate it, from the grand staircase to the ballrooms.
Sue was our coordinator, and she is absolutely fantastic!! She has been with the venue for nine years, and it is apparent how experienced she is, and how much she loves her job. She is so genuine and happy for each of the couples she serves, but she makes you feel like your wedding is top priority.
Diane (bakery) is so incredibly talented! Our cake was GORGEOUS. Her sugar flowers are absolutely stunning! We had a chocolate cake with cannoli cream filling and raspberry jam...SO delicious...it tasted as good as it looked!
I was especially delighted that in addition to our selections for the Viennese hour, the staff surprised us with MORE selections we never even dreamed of. It was amazing; a truly perfect day, and we are so happy!

We are so happy we chose to have our wedding reception at The Merion. Our coordinator, Stephanie Lewis, is simply the best. She was professional, responsive, and thorough. We are blessed that we were able to work with her. All our needs were met and then some. Our guests commented on how grand the venue was, the amount food that was served during the cocktail hour, and most of all the DESSERTS! We would definitely encourage you to have you wedding here and work with Stephanie! You will not be disappointed!

The Merion was truly amazing!!! Stephanie was the person that helped me through the process and I don't know what I would have done without her!! She was quick with her response and was never bothered with all my questions. She took such a good care of me on the wedding day, I felt like a queen. She made this whole journey go by so well. She took care of every detail and I was amazed at how amazing everything turned out. The food was incredible and everyone was so happy and I got so many compliments and my guests were amazed of how beautiful the place was and how good the food was. I couldn't have picked a better place and I recommend it to everyone because it is truly amazing!

My wedding reception was held at the Merion on April 11, 2015. I had attended a wedding at the Merion, but was totally blown away and speechless at my wedding. The food was amazing, the staff was awesome, and everything was perfect. We had close to 300 guests attend, and everyone said it was the best wedding they have ever attended. I worked with Stephanie, and she went above and beyond for my family, and always put my mind at ease! People are still talking about it 2 weeks later!

There are simply no words that exist in the dictionary to explain how head over heels in love I am with everything that Stephanie and Billy did for our wedding on 4/19/15. They exceeded EVERYONES expectations, not that I was expecting anything less because these people kiss serious butt when hosting events. My videographer has me on video freaking out (in a good way!!!!) when I walked into my ballroom. I swore that I would be sleeping there that night because I was so obsessed with the decor but my husband convinced me to go home at the end of the night. :P

I also want to mention our amazing maître d' Rich. My goodness you are great! He didn't skip a beat. I can't thank you enough Rich!!!!

Bottom line, if you're considering The Merion for any type of event- look no more. Amazing people from the waitstaff to the owners. You guys made my event so memorable and I will cherish those moments forever.

The merion is absolutely stunning and was such an amazing wedding experience. I was married in the skylight room and it was like a fairytale with the dome and surrounding color lights. Sue Aita was awesome she is so nice. She was very receptive and helpful to my pre-wedding needs. The food is phenomenal. You and your guest will not leave hungry or disappointed. I was married 6 weeks ago and my guest are still talking about my wedding and how much they loved my venue and food. I would highly recommend the merion.

Wow! I cannot say enough about how absolutely incredible The Merion is!! Our wedding exceeded every expectation. The food, décor, staff, everything was just amazing! We worked with Sue Aita who I highly recommend. She is AWESOME! She is so fun to work with and a true professional. She didn't miss a single detail! I wish we could do it all again, we were blown away!!

My wife and I were in search of her dream; to have her own fairytale wedding and reception. The Merion knocked our socks off from the first time we visited the venue. Stephanie Lewis was our coordinator and delivered an event that left ourselves and guests truly dazzled. The staff, management, even the receptionist treated Dawn and I like royalty each and every time we met. If any of you out there want the best experience, want the best food and beverage and a truly elegant wedding reception look no further than The Merion.

I had my wedding at the Merion in the Skylight Room on January 2, and I cannot even begin to express how amazing it was. Ermine had told us how incredible the food is there, but that does not even begin to describe it. The food was absolutely out of this world and there is more than you could ever imagine. Even more than the food though, all the staff was amazing. I work with Suze and she was the most amazing wedding coordinator!! We had so much fun with her and she really went above and beyond with helping us plan our wedding. AND our wedding was on her birthday! She is an absolutely amazing person and I'm so glad she was a part of our day. I cannot say enough good things about the Merion. They go above and beyond in all that they do and I could not have asked for a more amazing venue or day.

The staff at the Merion, Stephanie, Sue, Cliff and everyone that worked to make our celebration the best were truly a blessing to us. My wedding celebration was exquisite. The food was amazinggggggg and money well spent. Thank you so much for all your help and I can't wait for my sisters wedding this year at your venue. Gorg space, I would totally recommend the Merion.

Words cannot express how amazing our wedding and reception was. The Merion was very accomodating and made the wedding a wedding I never though I would have come to life. All of my guests are still in complete awe about how gorgeous the venue was and of course how great cocktail hour and the food was! Sue Aita worked with us. She was so amazing!! Highly recommend seeing her if you are interested in looking at this venue. They treat you like family here! I love them!! ALL!!
