The Manor House at Pleasant Beach Reviews

I would like to start by saying that the level of flexibility and the effort to accommodate me and my fiancé’s wedding day wishes has been superb! This venue had an event booked for our chosen day and they made plans to move the even to another venue in order to accommodate our wedding ceremony and reception. I felt honored that they would be willing to do that. It says a lot about their character, class, and customer service. And it’s just plain good business!!! How refreshing!!!

We couldn't have been happier with the Manor House for our venue. We received so many compliments on the beauty, the food, and the service. It was initially hard to get in contact with them, and they were slow to respond, until Robert joined their staff and took over as the event planner. Their prices for Saturday weddings are steep and require a 120+ person event, but we had our wedding on Sunday over a holiday weekend which only required a 60 person minimum, which helped to keep the cost down.

The Manor House is a breathtaking, historic home overlooking scenic Rich Passage, on the south end of Bainbridge Island. The facility boasts indoor and outdoor spaces, and a beautiful new 2000 sq/ft clear top event facility, allowing for year round access.

The events team were nothing short of stellar. The events director replied to my calls and emails at record speed, and built up an impressive file of details on my rehearsal dinner. He had it all covered, glassware, china, plates, linens, staffing, special order beverages. They truly went out of their way to accommodate our wishes.

As a previous reviewer mentioned, this place had gotten their act together, and they are hidden (not for long!) gem!

Had my wedding at the Manor House in August of 2015, on what is still to this day the worst summer storm in state history! Wind, rain, power outages, downed trees... you name it. BUT you would hardly know it with how Manor House handled the event. We had MANY last minute changes days and even hours before the ceremony due to the weather, and they worked with us on every one of them. The staff was fantastic, food was amazing and our guests had a wonderful time. The space is beautifully kept and intimate. You will not regret choosing Manor House as your wedding venue!

Communication with the folks at the Manor House was difficult at best leading up to the wedding with phone calls and emails going ignored for weeks and we didn't get an estimate on the cost until about a week before the wedding. That being said, once we were close to the big day (about a week away), Tori Dotson was responsive, communicative and absolutely on top of everything and took incredibly good care of us. There seems to be a disconnect between the business end of the Manor House and the actual operations team, but once this gets sorted out, this will be a truly top notch location for events and weddings on Bainbridge.

I'm sorry to see the previous reviewer report how difficult it was to work with the Management Office at this venue. I am currently trying to work with them for my event next year and it has been a terrible experience so far. It has been nearly 6 months and I do not yet have a signed contract. It took 5 months to get a first draft of the contract (after many ignored phone calls and emails). I sent some comments on the contract back and it has taken an additional 6 weeks for it to be returned. (More phone calls.) An unhappy surprise awaited me in my Inbox. They are not honoring their original price. The revised contract is now quoting a price over double the original price. I am seriously considering walking away from this venue due to unprofessionalism.
