My wife and I got married at boltwood this September. From start to finish (almost a 2 year process) the staff at the Inn was attentive, helpful, kind, and in the end they delivered above and beyond our expectations. Catherine, our wedding coordinator, was with us from the beginning. She thought of all the details we may have forgotten and provided the perfect guidance when we had questions. She and the banquet team customized to our specific needs and at no point did we feel we weren’t in good hands. The day of the wedding, Catherine, Dan, Eliot, and Adrianna lead the team and made sure all of our guests and us were well taken care of. Any issue that came up they dealt with swiftly and effectively, keeping our attention on each other and our guests. Chef Jose and his team cooked up hors d’oeuvres, apps, and entrees that our guests are still raving about. The front desk and housekeeping staff made sure our room was perfect and ready to accommodate the bridal party as they got ready day of. Vicky, Marita, and Tom at the restaurant bar did a fantastic job taking care of our guests before and after the wedding. Vicky, the bar manager, also ensured we had everything perfect for our reception bar. Our 3 bartenders knocked it out of the park and our guests were so happy with the selection and their drinks. We truly had our perfect day, start to finish! The Inn is gorgeous in its own right, but the staff within are the ones who truly made this a perfect day. If you are looking for the perfect New England wedding spot, look no further!

The Inn on Boltwood is truly an amazing place to get married. As someone who didn’t have a wedding planner I am so glad for Catherine and Bill. Without them my day wouldn’t have gone so smoothly. Catherine helped me completely for the 2 years of planning. Then the day of I asked for a window to be cleaned and Catherine herself (in a dress) took care of it for me. Bill then took care of us the day of our wedding. Every detail they made sure happened. We LOVE the Inn and hope others will too.

We would highly recommend Inn on Boltwood. The staff went above and beyond to make sure we had our perfect day run as smoothly as possible. They are upfront with pricing and open to any and all customizations.

The venue was beautiful, the food was phenomenal, and all of the staff members were amazing. Special shout out to Peter who really helped to make our wedding day perfect! He truly managed to anticipate our every need. Poor weather conditions caused the ceremony to be moved indoors but, because of the excellent contingency plan that the Inn had in place, you would have never known that an indoor ceremony wasn’t the plan all along! We have nothing but positive things to say about the Inn on Boltwood!

We can’t say enough about how wonderful the entire staff, special shout-out to Catherine, Steven & Peter! We were supposed to have our reception on the rooftop, it turned out to be 96 degrees on our wedding day! They were all able to relocate us to the ballroom and it was just as beautiful! Thank you all for our beautiful wedding day!

We had a wonderful small (fewer than 20 people) wedding in the library and greenhouse room at the Inn on Boltwood! Catherine and her team did a great job on a short timeline. They were very helpful, accommodating, and made our event low-pressure which was important to us. The location was a beautiful backdrop for photos. They were very professional and organized and everything ran smoothly!

My husband and I got married at the Inn on Boltwood on 10/09/20 and it was an absolute dream come true. The team at Inn on Boltwood - Catherine, Jeff, Daniella - went above and beyond to cater to our needs and help us every step of the way as we planned our dream wedding amid a pandemic. Every single person raved about the rooms, the grounds, and more importantly, the food. We keep hearing, "You feed us WELL!" And the cherry on top is this venue's affordability. You cannot go wrong with the Inn on Boltwood - I highly recommend!

The most special and beautiful venue, amazing team!

My husband and I got married at the Lord Jeffery Inn on 6/1/2018 and I can't say enough wonderful things about Amanda, Jeff, and Daniela! First of all - the venue is just gorgeous, and there are a number of space options depending on the size of your wedding. There are so many backdrops for gorgeous photographs, including the giant fireplace on the rooftop and the firepit out in front of the 30 Boltwood restaurant. Amanda was so helpful and informative throughout the entire process. She was extremely flexible and allowed us to really customize our menu - and bring in cupcakes from our favorite bakery! She recommended vendors to us and they were also all fantastic! The wedding day ran smoothly and all of our guests commented to us throughout the night and are still telling us a week later how beautiful the venue is and how delicious the food was (including some people who said they plan to just come have dinner at the restaurant at some point in the future). The pricing is exactly right for the quality and service that you get, 100% top notch. I felt well taken care of throughout the entire process and would recommend to anyone that they get married at the Lord Jeff!

My husband and I had our wedding at the Lord Jeffery Inn and it was nothing short of amazing. Since the majority of our family traveled in for the wedding, it was made into a weekend event. Our guests were so impressed with the Inn and how accommodating, friendly, and hospitable the staff was the entire weekend. When it came to the wedding, Amanda,Jeff,Daniela, and Kyle were hands down the best team. They were professional, attentive, and perfected every detail! We had our wedding on October 22, 2017 at the Lord Jeffery Inn and couldn't be any happier with the venue & staff. Amanda and her team were amazing to work with. She was able to make our vision a reality. From the moment we walked in the door until we left the following day we were completely taken care of. My husband and I got married at the Lord Jeffery Inn on September 16, 2017 and we cannot speak highly enough about it this venue and their staff. From the second that we looked at the venue a year and a half before, we knew this would be the perfect spot to get married. Amanda was especially helpful throughout the entire wedding planning process. She pointed us in the right direction to book each of our vendors and to think of little details that we wouldn't have thought of on our own. As soon as we arrived, two days before the wedding, Amanda, Daniela, and Jeff took everything off our hands and took away all the stress of planning. They fully carried out every little detail and delivered a day that was truly better than we could have ever imagined. Throughout the entire wedding day, they each kept everything on schedule and kept me and my husband calm. They attended to our guests and also made sure our bridal party had food and drinks throughout cocktail hour and during photos. I had a last minute hiccup with my dress, and Amanda even sewed me into it right before the ceremony. Kyle also was extremely helpful and personally attended to me and my husband on the on the wedding day. He made sure that we always had a full drink, and even ran things back to the bridal suite for me throughout the night. The food was unbelievable and after trying it at the tasting, we couldn't wait for the reception. This venue is extremely accommodating, has perfect New England charm, and was everything we were looking for and more. We love the Lord Jeffery Inn would highly recommend this to anyone planning a wedding.

When our first space canceled on us as they were closing, we scrambled to find another place to host our rehearsal dinner and we found the Lord Jeffery Inn. It turns out we actually upgraded! The weather was great so we were able to host our dinner out on the patio by the fireplace. All of our guests loved it and couldn't stop raving about the atmosphere and food. The meals were amazing - I only wish we lived closer then we'd go to their restaurant for seconds! They were also very accommodating to one of our guests who has Celiac and needed a gluten-free meal. Amanda was also very helpful and set up all the place cards for us (even though we only sent them to her the week prior). Thank you for making our rehearsal dinner so lovely!

The Lord Jeffery Inn is a gorgeous venue and we are so happy we chose it for our wedding weekend. We decided to have our rehearsal dinner, ceremony, and reception at the inn and we were not disappointed. We chose this venue because we wanted to have a “wedding weekend” and make it easy for our wedding party and guests. The service was excellent and beyond our expectations. The staff went above and beyond to make sure that we had a wonderful wedding and we certainly did. We encountered a few bumps in the road along the way, but the Lord Jeffery Inn staff was accommodating and offered us great alternatives so that our guests had a wonderful time. The inn is a beautiful setting for photos and the our guests couldn’t say enough great things about the venue, food, drinks, etc. We had an amazing weekend and would definitely recommend this venue!

The staff at the Lord Jeff is excellent!! Every interaction with them was pleasant and we really felt as though we were the only couple getting married there. Our guests absolutely loved the venue and the food was the biggest hit. As self-proclaimed foodies we knew that we did not want your typical "wedding food" and LJI did not disappoint. The tasting was delicious with so many different options. We also loved how willing they were to customize the menu. To honor of my husband's Jamaican heritage the Chef created an amazing jerk rub for the chicken, which was a special touch that all our family appreciated. Sarah and her staff were incredible and made us feel so special and gave all our guests the VIP treatment. We can't wait to celebrate our first anniversary at the LJI. Thank you for helping make our wedding one that we, and our families, will never forget!

We could not have picked a better venue for our June 2015 wedding! Amanda and her team at the inn are amazing. I had no idea what to expect when we started planning our wedding but it was totally stress free at the Lord Jeffery Inn.

We had our 6PM ceremony out on the back patio and our cocktail hour up on the gorgeous roof deck (the roof deck sealed the deal for us when we were looking at having our wedding there. It's absolutely perfect for an early summer evening) and our reception in the ballroom. The ballroom is beautiful (and the chandeliers are so lovely) and guests were able to access the back patio from the ballroom throughout the evening.

The food was fantastic! My husband and I really wanted to have amazing food for our guests and the Lord Jeffery Inn went above and beyond! This is not your typical wedding food that you find in a lot places. So many of our guests raved about the food as well as the wonderful service.

The inn itself is absolutely beautiful! Our immediate family and some close friends stayed at the inn with us for a couple of nights and it was so nice to be able to spend time with them the day before and the morning after for breakfast.

I've had so many of our guests tell us it was THE BEST wedding they had ever attended. Amanda Long is a true professional (as well as Jeff and everyone else at the inn) and so easy to work with. Every detail was taken care of and I felt absolutely NO stress on my wedding day. Thank you so much Amanda and your team for making our wedding the best evening ever! We are looking forward to returning for our anniversary.

Knowing its reputation as a premiere venue in the Pioneer Valley, I was sure that it would not be affordable. Amanda Long put our fears to rest right away, and I was impressed with her personable nature from the very start. The Lord Jeff is the classic, romantic New England inn you have always dreamed of, but with all of the modern touches. I especially liked the firepits that dot the grounds . The staff are always attentive to your needs. The hotel rooms are elegant. 30 Boltwood uses the same kitchen and ingredients as the reception venue.

Wedding planning is a breeze at the Lord Jeff. Having to organize a wedding from Australia was an extremely difficult task, but Amanda helped at every step of the way. At no point did we feel snowed under with tasks and her guidance for us was thoroughly appreciated--linens? Colors? Little touches? Leading up to the wedding, Amanda saved the day by providing advice to us about a horrible issue involving tuxedos, and without her pep talk, we would not have had the best day. The Services Manager has only missed one wedding in all of his time at the inn, and that was to be a guest at Amanda's--talk about being dedicated to your job! Every guest raved about the staff. They helped put these grooms at ease every step of the way. Not only do they work extremely hard during venue but they set everything up for you. They not only do this according to your wishes, but they can make your sometimes disordered ideas into a perfected reality! The day completely went according to plan at the Lord Jeff. The staff ensured we stuck as closely as possible to the timeline. The food was exquisite (every guest was a fan!) and plentiful. There is not one bad word to say, and as a teacher I can be critical when I need to be. Impressed at every stage. The saddest part about the wedding week had to be checking out.

The Lord Jeffery and Amanda were wonderful for our big day! The Inn is just gorgeous and all of our wedding guests from out of town were just overwhelmed with its charm. The food was amazing, and the Lord Jeffery was very accommodating with any requests that we had-- food or otherwise. I would not have wanted to get married anywhere else!

The Lord Jeffery Inn was the perfect spot for our fall wedding. Though we are Amherst residents, the charm of the Inn made it an easy choice for our special day. Amanda, the wedding coordinator, was wonderful from the get go and was so helpful from the day we booked until the day of. The staff were all so wonderful the day of and were so accommodating of our families and friends. Even though it rained and we weren't able to have our ceremony outside, the staff quickly converted the indoor banquet room into a cozy, intimate and beautiful space for our ceremony. We had our reception in the tent and it was terrific. We had many people say that it was the best wedding they had ever been to and I think we owe that to the Lord Jeffery Inn!

From our very first meeting, we were completely overwhelmed by their professionalism, flexibility, and commitment to ensuring that we had the best possible wedding. Jen went really out of her way to help us - from coordinating all the logistics to recommending vendors, to helping set up decorations. The Inn is beautiful, the wedding packages are very reasonable, the food is wonderful, and the staff (especially the banquet staff and captain Jeff) are friendly, professional, and fun. I would definitely recommend the Lord Jeffery Inn to anyone looking for a wedding venue in the Pioneer Valley.

Our wedding there was PERFECT. From the beginning, Amanda our wedding coordinator, was amazing. She was extremely detail oriented, and listened to exactly what we wanted. She was receptive to all of our suggestions, and even helped make some last minute tweaks. She made us feel 100% taken care of, and because of her I could really enjoy our wedding without worrying about the details. The rest of the staff at the Inn was also extremely service oriented, and everyone we met was a pleasure to work with.

The venue itself is beautiful. We had our ceremony in the back of the inn, and our reception outside in tent. Both worked out great!

My husband and I could not have been happier with our choice to get married at The Lord Jeffery Inn. We were planning our wedding from VA, but Amanda and staff made it easy to plan from afar.

Our ceremony was held outside on the patio and it was perfect. Even though everything was all in the same location, it felt like we were in three separate locations throughout the night. After the ceremony, our guests moved to the lawn for cocktail hour. We received numerous compliments in regards to the set up and the food.

Our reception was perfect. It was held under the white tent and was set up beautifully. The staff organized and displayed the tables and decor exactly how I had explained and imagined. Everything was perfect and there were no complaints from any of our family or friends. The staff was also very accommodating to my husband and I all night making sure we had everything we needed.

After our reception, my husband and I stayed in the wedding suite where we were greeted with chocolate covered strawberries and a bottle of champagne. It was the perfect ending to the best day ever.

The Jeff has been remodeled and is absolutely stunning. On our wedding day, there were flash flood warnings and of course our entire day had been planned outside. At the last minute, Amanda and her team of professionals surprised me by setting up the library for our intimate ceremony for our 55 guests. They made what could have been a disaster into a dream come true. Also, our guests told us that the food was the best wedding food they had ever had.

The Lord Jeff was great to work with! They were so kind and I truly felt that the staff was as excited for the day as we were. They let our florist do some decorating and got creative themselves. The day was absolutely gorgeous. Our guests have not stopped talking about how beautiful everything was and how delicious the food was. If a fun, easy to wok with staff is what you're looking for the Lord Jeffery is for you.

The banquet team at the Lord Jeffery is as professional as they come. Amanda, Jeff and Rachael worked with us to make sure our wedding was perfect and our guests (and us) couldn't have been happier. Amanda responded to all of my last-minute requests and didn't miss a detail on our wedding day -- she helped us plan a perfect spot (and back-up spot) for our ketubah signing before the ceremony and without her our groomsman and groom would have forgotten their boutonnieres entirely. Jeff and Rachael walked us through everything in our final meeting and when we arrived at the Inn on our wedding day we were free to enjoy the day because we knew we were in good hands. Jeff even added a special touch to our decor, using some rose petals and lace to decorate our guest book and family portrait table. I've heard of brides who don't eat on their weddings but I ate everything because it was that good. My father-in-law, who is very particular about his steak, couldn't stop raving about how he could cut the filet mignon with a butter knife. The bridal suite was nicer than we thought and was a lovely place to get ready and take pictures before the wedding. The entire Inn is a photographer's dream -- recently renovated and decorated beautifully while retaining its historic charm -- and we made full use of all its spaces, from the outdoor patio and fireplace to the elegant library. We had such a good time at our wedding and we owe a big thank you to the Lord Jeffery for that!

Our wedding reception was literally a dream come true, and the Lord Jeffery Inn staff sure made it happen! They went above and beyond for ours and our guest’s needs. We worked with their TEAM of people to make sure every detail was correct. They even had one person dedicated to the bride another person dedicated to the groom the day of the wedding, making things even easier for us. The staff was the most easiest and down to earth people to work with for the wedding. We could not be more pleased with everything. Their timing was spot on for serving, and they tended to all of our guests needs. The food was amazing; everyone was raving about it and wanting more. Having a suite at the Inn made it so easy to get ready and at the end of the night we even received chocolate covered strawberries and a bottle of prosecco in our room! I cannot say enough about how wonderful the staff, chefs, and the Inn were!
Brides: if you want a stress free wedding, and great food, book your wedding at the Lord Jeffery Inn, you will not be disappointed! In fact it will be the best experience of your wedding, besides getting married to the love of your life! Any one that is getting married, I tell them go to the Lord Jeffery Inn for the best wedding reception you can imagine!!

Our wedding could not have gone smoother and so much of that is due to the Lord Jeffery staff. Starting with the rehearsal, they took the lead and made us feel like we were in the right hands. They know what they’re doing! The night went flawlessly. We both felt like royalty, with staff being so attentive and making sure everything was as we wanted it. The food was amazing and the venue space was perfect for our 130 guests. The overnight accommodations were also great. When we returned to our suite when all was said and done, a bottle of champagne and some tasty treats were waiting. Thank you Lord Jeffery!

Fantastic staff! They worked with me to make my vision possible. The venue is beautiful, a perfect mix of classic New England charm while staying modern and elegant.

My husband and I got married here last month. I had been searching for a venue that would allow me and my bridesmaids/wedding party/family to stay at a venue (i.e. an Inn or hotel) without having to travel. I must have searched and combed through 50 different venues before landing on the Inn on Boltwood. We visited a small handful previously, and were disappointed each time. However, as soon as we visited, I knew it was the place.

The venue is gorgeous, with plenty of opportunities for beautiful photos. There was ample room for our guests and wedding party who wished to stay over (I think they have at least 40 rooms). Plus, the location is easy for others who have to travel out of town as there are a plethora of other hotels near by. Catherine (I believe she is one of the wedding coordinators or in sales) helped with all the planning and was outstanding - she is so kind and patient.

They have a great vendor recommendation list, which is crucial when planning a wedding (see below for who we went with). Catherine was super helpful and ensured that we had the right spaces booked (i.e., hair and makeup in one of the meeting rooms). I was nervous about not hiring a wedding planner separately, but the venue (with the help of Catherine and Corey the banquet manager) executed the event flawlessly.

Unfortunately, we didn't get to each much of our food on our actual wedding day. Catherine & Corey DID make sure that us and our wedding party had food and drink immediately after the ceremony and prior to taking photos. This was awesome because I've been in weddings where you miss out on the cocktail hour food/drink because you're stuck taking photos. I had a few of the passed appetizers and OMG they were just delicious. Catherine worked with the chef to help create some customized items on the menu for me, and everyone who had special food requests/allergies had their needs met. I loved that we could choose FOUR entrees, as well.

Lastly, I found that the Inn's pricing of the wedding package was incredibly fair, and the final invoice did not have any "surprises" or "hidden fees." There is a LOT you can customize. We pretty much did a basic package (premium with open bar & bar upgrade), but you can tack on a lot more if you wanted to. Also, some people have weddings in their tent which looks awesome especially during the summer.

Lastly, I loved this venue because it really did not require much for additional decorations. For decor, we did flowers (some for the arch and tables), and then a small set up for my guest book table. The venue itself is very pretty and classic so you don't need to go overboard.

My husband and I held our wedding rehearsal dinner at Inn on Boltwood in May 2019, and could not have had a better experience with their wonderful team. The building and space is just beautiful and so New England. We had the Emily ballroom, and attached patio for our roughly 40 guests. The food and bar was excellent, timely and the staff was so accommodating. Couldn’t recommend the Inn more – for these types of events, or any event really. So many unique options to choose from in the amazing building! Thank you so much to the team!

Amanda was wonderful to work with. She is very kind and very responsive to any questions or comments. The venue itself is gorgeous and our outdoor ceremony was beautiful. There were a few hick ups such as the roof not being set up for the wedding party and not really having access to the entire grounds--that was something that was said at our consultation; the access to grounds could very well have been an oversight by me, not Amanda. All in all very happy with the Lord Jeff and the hick ups were very minuscule, but for the amount you're paying, you want to have everything that was promised.

(As a side note, their food is AMAZING! Our guests have been raving about the pasta bar!)

My wedding was in October of 2014. From the moment we met Amanda she was extremely kind. While I was beyond excited to marry my Husband, I was not the kind of woman that had been dreaming about her wedding. I was honestly busy with work, family, kids and school. My husband had just started a new job (promotion yay) and the kids were busy like no other. The most important thing to me was my ceremony script. Beyond that, I sort of had no idea.

Amanda was extremely helpful. She pushed me in the right directions offered guidance, but also allowed us to make our wedding our own by not going 100% traditional. We fooled around with floor plans, furniture plans, indoor, outdoor. etc. after signing the contract. Not only did we end up in the grand ballroom with a cocktail hour on the gorgeous deck but we did our ceremony outside under the Pergola. This wasn't originally the plan at all- but the Jeff honored the same price and worked with me on alternate floor plans and ideas. It was awesome and reassuring.

I also changed my menu 4 times including my plan for alcohol. Amanda was patient and totally understanding. I never felt any pressure to pick one thing over another. I have to say, the food was the best that I have EVER been served at a wedding. It was not lacking, it was delicious (I am very picky) I would pay for that full price at a restaurant again and again.

Jeff was also magnificent the day of. Both Amanda and Jeff were helpful and present all the way to the end. Amanda even helped make sure that my dancing shoes weren't caught in my slip prior to our entrance to the reception. And, when I appeared nervous in the elevator after pictures Amanda ordered a "Mimosa on the fly for the Bride" on her walkie talkie. Too funny and priceless!

In the end, I treasured my ceremony and my marriage more then reception. But I always feel that way! My guests loved it though! And my husband danced ALL NIGHT. Thanks Lord Jeff.

We had the ceremony and reception at the Lord Jeffery Inn. All the staff were very accommodating but Amanda was particularly helpful in planning the day and always made time for me even when I dropped in unexpectedly. She made recommendations for our florist, bakery, photographer, DJ, and JP. And we were happy with all of them. The food was excellent as well. We were married on a Sunday, which made this venue much more affordable. We were very happy overall.

We are writing to express our sincere appreciation for Mary Skowyra and the rest of the event planning staff at the Lord Jeffrey Inn. My partner (now wife) and I first visited the Lord Jeff in January 2007. At the time, we were scheduled to have our wedding on Columbus Day of 2007. Even though we ended up changing our date as well as details of the wedding ceremony and reception, Mary was completely supportive, understanding and helpful. She was open and honest in all of her communication with us, and she never once made us feel guilty or pressured about the many changes we were requesting. She even tracked down and ordered a specialty cupcake tree for the event. Additionally, as a same sex couple, we felt incredibly welcomed at the Lord Jeff, by Mary and all of the staff. No one ever even looked twice or blinked at the notion of two women having a formal wedding ceremony and reception. But most of all, we are grateful to Mary and her staff for truly going above and beyond on our wedding day. Every detail was covered - from accomodating us to use the outdoor tented courtyard for our ceremony when we realized our garden plan would be rained out to holding umbrellas to catch drops that were escaping through eaves to beautifully arranging the ballroom to being kind and gracious to all of our guests to setting up our favors and toasting flutes and place-cards to packing up all of the items we might want to keep as the reception was winding down and then carrying them all up to our bridal suite - everything went off seamlessly and without a hitch. Under The Lord Jeffery's Tent in August with lawn games for guests and a patio for greeting guests was the perfect wedding for our daughter and her groom. From the cocktail reception to the dinner to the cake and coffee, it was perfect.

We had a great experience with the Lord Jeff. They accommodated all our requests, answered our questions, and tried to meet our demands as best they could (and did very well!) The outdoor ceremony location is beautiful, and they set it up wonderfully with the nice Pergola.

You need to use their in-house catering, which we preferred, but some may not. It was absolutely delicious, so there isn't a reason NOT to, either. They do apparently serve plated dinners for the most part, we had to pay $5 extra per person to have a buffet, so that's something to keep in mind. Again, they were totally accommodating when we told them that's what we wanted!

The indoor reception room is very hotel reception room-esque, but can be transformed with the right decorations (but note, $$). For larger groups I think you'd use the tent, so I can't speak to that.

The Lord Jeff is very expensive, but most wedding venues are. This definitely isn't for a super-low budget wedding, though.

Overall, totally worth it, would do it again...hopefully I don't, but that's not because of Lord Jeff ;)

My husband and I used the Lord Jeff for both our ceremony and reception. It was absolutely beautiful! We had about 130 people. We picked the Lord Jeff because it has this classy feeling without it feeling too up tight. We both work and live in town, so for us it was all about that home town feeling. The ballroom was gorgeous! No decorations necessary! I recommend this place to anyone! They are very accommodating and will pretty much do whatever you want them to! The food was amazing and our waiter was right there with us in case we needed anything.

We got married at the Lord Jeffery Inn July 2014. My husband and I booked this venue because we met and went to school at nearby UMass Amherst. The Lord Jeff was a beautiful backdrop for our special day. We had an outdoor ceremony, rooftop cocktail hour, and ballroom reception. Overall, our wedding was a dream come true.

Venue & Guest Rooms: everything about the Lord Jeff is new and beautiful, modern yet historic. Our guests enjoyed the convenient location and access to the entire Inn on our wedding day with no other events booked. That said- it was a bit more expensive and some of our guests chose to stay at other area hotels.

Food: the food and beverages were delicious! We passed appetizers and served a buffet dinner at our wedding. Everyone had plenty to eat and drink- bride and groom included (which doesn't always happen!) We also had good food and service at the Boltwood Restaurant and when getting ready on wedding day.

Service: My only caveat is some lack of attention to detail. I am extremely detail oriented and might notice some things more than others, but a few decor pieces and timeline elements were a bit off on wedding day.

Shout-outs: Amanda was my go-to for planning- from booking to menu choices and last minute details, she patiently answered my questions and respectfully gave suggestions. She handles bride anxiety with class and ease ;)

I would definitely recommend the Lord Jeff to any engaged couples who want a romantic and intimate setting for their wedding. I am looking forward to celebrating anniversaries there in the future.

We had our wedding at the The Lord Jeffrey Inn in Amherst, MA in October 2013. We had the pleasure of working with Amanda who was very responsive and accommodating to our requests. We worked with Amanda up until the week of the wedding. We then worked with Rachel and Jeff from the week before the wedding until the end of the reception. I would have rather worked with the same people the entire time and wished Rachael and Jeff were involved from the beginning along with Amanda. Everyone was really helpful and professional.

Pros
*The Inn is absolutely beautiful from the inside to the landscaping outside. It Is a Photographers dream. Needless to say the pictures came out awesome!
* The set up of the rooms was great including the outside patio, inside hall room, bar area, and ballroom.
* included in your package is a wedding cake which gave you two options Gregory's and Atkins, we opted to go with Gregory's and they were amazing. We also received a free room the night of the wedding which was awesome.
* The food was delicious and came out pretty close to the scheduled time.

Cons

****Pricing*** The Lord Jeff is extremely pricey. In the contract it does say everything's is subject to a 7% tax and 21% service charge. Absolutely everything was charged that amount including the room rental, any extras you my have requested, the menu tasting if you have guests etc. The way they structure the pricing is in a way that they make the most money. Be very careful before signing contact. I would request a completely detailed mock bill before signing.

* Vendor Meals - if you do vendor meals make sure you have it panned out ahead of time. The day of the wedding the vendors had not been served until I mentioned something and that's wasn't until everyone was finished with their cake.

Overall I would rate The Lord Jeff a BB+

If you want a location solely for beautiful photos, this is the place.

I am discouraged with my wedding process at the Inn on Boltwood. Less than two weeks before our wedding, the mask mandate was announced and I had to reach out to them for inquire how that impacted our ballroom reception not the other way around. They would gladly offer us the Garden Tent for an additional $2,500 that was not within our budget.

The day of the wedding, I had only two encounters with the staff, once when first getting ready and the second time when it was time for me to come downstairs to walk down the aisle. We were told that sodas and drinks would be waiting for us in the Graves room while getting ready and none were received. I had items removed without asking if we were planning on keeping. I have received complaints about rude servers and cold food, mine included. I only had one server come up to me with an appetizer that I passed on because it wasn't the ones I had wanted. I made it clear in our meeting two days before the wedding that I wanted to make sure we had appetizers and how I was looking forward to them and we were explicitly assured we would be receiving them. We never got a salad which I had picked and was looking forward to. The option I choose for an entrée, was definitely not the same thing I had tasted at the food tasting and was discouraged.

We were asked if it was fine for our DJ to turn the music down shortly after the dancing started because there were many children staying at the Inn, which understandably I said of course because I too am a mother and if the shoe was on the other foot, I'd hope the wedding party would understand, but I can say that impacted the length of dancing.

There was no attempt to notify guests that cake and ice cream were being served. The glasses of water were removed from the tables. If you need ketchup, you'll have to ask twice and the second time be told they don't have any.

There is a clear lack of communication with staff and clients. I left feeling like we weren't good enough for our wedding to be hosted on their grounds. I will not be recommending this venue to anyone in the future.

We had a plethora of problems with the Lord Jeff on our wedding day. The rudeness and pompousness by the staff made us feel unwelcome as the bride and groom. I would suggest looking elsewhere if you're planning to spend a significant amount of money on a reception venue and want to be treated properly. I never felt relaxed at my own wedding and woke up the next day angry at choosing such an inconsiderate venue to celebrate our love. If it wasn't for our DJ and photographer, the day would have been ruined.
