If I could have my wedding all over again I would choose The Lodge and Jenna every single time! From the very first meeting until the wedding day Jenna was there the entire time. She was so flexible and helpful and did everything possible to make the day the best day ever. It was the best day of our lives. The venue alone is breath taking. There are so many areas that have beautiful scenery for photos and is one of the reasons I chose it. The groomsmen’s stable and the bridal suite are top notch and we loved being on site to get ready and not have to worry about anything. No matter where you choose to do the ceremony or reception you will not be disappointed. -

The most stunningly beautiful backdrop to my daughter’s wedding.
The Lodge on Brier Creek is absolutely breathtaking at every turn. With such a beautiful facility and grounds, the need for extra decor is minimal. The bridal suite and groom’s quarters are gorgeous and tastefully decorated. Jenna was excellent to work with on all accounts and we could not have been happier. She has everything you could want or need already on site and has an excellent working knowledge of how to create the wedding you want as well as great relationships with other vendors should you need anything. She is a great source for helping you create what you are dreaming. My daughter had a very specific vision in her mind of what she wanted, and when we pulled down the long gravel drive the first time and saw the venue in its full, seeing the giant walnut tree out on the hill, we knew this was the place. Beauty at every turn. It's a fabulous place to have your wedding. -

This venue is absolutely stunning with the beautiful views. The venue Owner goes above and beyond to assist you in making sure your event/day is perfect as possible. From the moment we pulled into the drive the first time to the exit of the event, everyone and everything was perfect! -

Top notch beautiful venue with top notch owner!
The Lodge on Brier Creek is a perfect beautiful venue in the Appalachian foothills for a beautiful event! My son and his bride had their wedding there this past weekend. The grounds are beautiful, not overly landscaped, just naturally pretty, lush grass, stunning views of the Brushy Mountains, and the facilities are top notch! A beautiful spacious bride room, a separate grooms stable, and the pavilion connected to the main banquet hall has the most beautiful view with a new stone patio with a stone fireplace. I hosted the rehearsal dinner under the pavilion and it was perfect! Jenna Mathis, the owner of The Lodge, was there to help with whatever I needed, listened to my needs, and acted with professionalism and in a calm friendly manner. She is a jewel to work with! A problem with the air conditioning in the grooms building on rehearsal night—fixed by the next morning for the wedding! I can’t say enough about the facility, ample parking, good sized kitchen with easy access for caterers, beautiful lighting in main barn and outside. You won’t be disappointed! -

Exactly what we wanted!
I cannot say enough good things about Jenna and the Lodge on Brier Creek. They were reasonably priced for the amount of time you get with the venue and the amount of help that they provide you. Not to mention their amenities and how perfect the place looks. From the grooms stable, to the bridal sweet, and the amount of locations you can do the ceremony, it was all amazing! Their inside for the reception was also huge and ready to accommodate the amount of guests we had. It held the buffet tables as well as everyone so comfortably and no one was on top of each other. Jenna was accommodating when it came to visiting the venue, working with her on what we needed from their storage, and they were there for the big day to help out in any way possible. I didn’t have a day-of coordinator but I don’t remember a single question being asked except if I needed anything! Beyond all that, Jenna was such a sweetheart and I am so blessed to have found this amazing venue for our perfect wedding. Everything went seamlessly and there is no other place I would rather have gotten married at! -

The Lodge on Brier Creek was such a beautiful place to get married. What I loved about it was the large covered patio. It provided a beautiful back up plan in case of rain or inclement weather. We looked at about 15 other venues in the surrounding area and none other had a good backup plan that still would make a beautiful wedding!
We got married September 19th and it was amazing. The owner, Jenna was so helpful on the day of our wedding and leading up to the wedding with answering questions, and letting us come to the venue to figure out seating and table arrangements.
We had about 150 people at our wedding and the venue easily accommodated this
Things we loved about the venue:
— Bridal suite (perfect large space for getting ready and hanging out before the wedding, even with separate bathroom for our bridal party.
— Grooms suite. Not many other venues had such a large grooms suite area, and it was away from the main barn
— Reception space
— Covered patio (you could even have your wedding in this are too if the weather was inclement
— Separate entrance for kitchen staff
— Ample parking on site
— Reasonable price
— Chairs and tables included
— Cross and arbor available for our use (we ended up using both!)
— The staff and owner were very helpful throughout the whole process
— Easy to get to. No back roads, but very secluded
— It is a BEAUTIFUL VENUE!
We would definitely recommend this venue for countless reasons. -

Let me just start off with saying that I am very particular about things and Type A. We looked at so many venues before deciding to book with The Lodge on Brier Creek. We loved everything about the venue. We live in Boone, so it was about a 50 minute drive, but definitely worth it.
We loved the area, the views, the bride and groom suites... and yes-- there is an entire area for the groom and groomsmen to get ready, not something that we saw in many other places. Jenna was very communicative and helpful throughout the entire process. She helped us figure out a layout for our 140 guests and allowed us to come to the venue to make sure everything was how we wanted!
Our wedding was September 19th, 2021 and the weather unpredictable. We had the ceremony out in the field (with a gorgeous view) and our reception on the covered patio and indoor. It was PERFECT. It put me at ease having a beautiful backup plan in case it rained. We would have been able to easily move our ceremony under the covered patio. The venue itself is also very clean and beautiful. The bridal suite was perfect for getting ready (and the lighting is great too).
I could not have imagined my wedding anywhere else. We are so happy to have started our marriage here and celebrate with everyone we love!

Perfect place if you want it to feel homie!
Can’t say enough good things about this place! We had our day in early august. There to assist you and communication was great. Barn/land is beyond beautiful! It’s so open and spacious! Very friendly to work with. Overall, excellent! -

This venue is so beautiful that you don’t need many decorations. The view is breathtaking! The owner is so easy to work with and accommodating to all of your needs. 10/10 recommended! -

Well taken care of
Jenna was amazing to work with for our wedding. She was very responsive, answered questions, and often suggested other vendors in the area to help eliminate stress on finding vendors on your own. She did set up and tear down for the venue for us. For situations we did not think about, she was able to come up with a quick and appropriate solution on site to make our wedding flow flawlessly. I would recommend this bueatiful venue and these great people! -

Jenna is very personable and professional!
Jenna was very personable and professional to work with. Any time that my daughter or I had questions about her wedding she responded immediately. The day of my daughters wedding 10-10-20, she was there all day making sure we had everything we needed and everything went as planned. The wedding was beautiful and Jenna made my daughters special day less stressful and memorable. The venue is beautiful and Jenna is great. The Bridal Suite and Grooms Suite are great places for the wedding party to relax and get ready for the wedding. The Bridal Suite is in the main venue and the Groom Suite is in a separate barn so the bride and groom won’t see each other before the ceremony. The outdoor pavilion where my daughter was married is spectacular and adds a special touch to the venue. I highly recommend this venue to all brides that are looking for an elegant barn venue to be married at. -

We recently had our wedding at Gambill Estate on 05/18/2019 and everything was perfect! Beautiful property and Eric was super helpful and friendly to everyone. We couldn’t have chosen a better venue! Hope to attend others there in the future! -
Emily Sent on 09/27/2018I couldn’t recommend Gambill Estate enough. I wish there was a way to give more stars! My fiancé (now husband) and I were looking for an affordable venue without sacrificing the views, amenities, and quality of service. After searching for weeks we found Gambill Estate and met with the owner, Eric. From that meeting on we knew we had made the right decision. What an absolutely amazing place to start your forever. Eric was very quick to get back in touch with us and cater to our needs whenever possible. He gave us advice on scheduling, set up, views, everything. And there weren’t 100 different people to go through. You get Eric and he answers everything fo you. He does EVERYTHING! And the view. Oh my God the view... I chose to use the pavilion for the ceremony. A big open area with views of the mountains behind you and the bridal party. It was absolutely breathtaking. I still can’t get over how amazing the entire experience was in great part because of Eric and the Gambill Estate. I can’t express enough how perfect the whole experience was there. I recommend it to everyone I know. Thank you Gambill Estate for making my wedding day so perfect!

There is no doubt that Gambill is a beautiful venue with the Blue Ridge Mountains in the backdrop! The lawn is flawlessly manicured and the venue kept clean. Albeit pricey, it is worth every penny! -

My fiancé and I chose this venue for our wedding last July for our June 2020 wedding. The staff that I talked to were kind and helpful. It is so, so beautiful with the scenery and secluded feeling. The venue was sold this past spring to new, more local owners. The new owner was quick to update her brides, was great to email with and talk to in person, and always gave us the most up-to-date information she had regarding this whole situation (COVID-19). We met with her and our caterer a few weeks ago to make plans for the day based on what we knew. Sadly, our predictions did not pan out and the venue said that they cannot host our wedding. I was sad, but I completely understood why it would not be possible. Luckily, we can still have a church wedding and start our married life! Unfortunately, the owner became difficult when approached about negotiating a refund. We understand that this is a difficult time for everyone, and that we are not the only couple going through this. However, it was sad that we were told that the previous owner was responsible for refunding us when he no longer owns the business with which we had a contract. I don't like writing critical reviews, especially when a majority of my experiences were positive. It just really rubs you the wrong way to lose that much money (we had paid half of the total) when the owner says it's not their problem in an unprofessional way. I hope everything gets sorted out soon, for myself as well as any other couple currently going through this!
