The Lake wedding

Wow! So good. The coordinating team was very professional and incredibly efficient. They told me I would be able to enjoy the event as they would make sure all went smoothly…and they were 💯 correct. Everything was organized and I thoroughly enjoyed the wedding day. At the end, all of my belongings were organized and ready to go. The vendors we chose were great and worked well together. Loved the wedding!!

Great, highly recommend.

As soon as we saw the venue we knew it was the one. Water, the forest. It was so serene and gorgeous. The coordination staff were excellent. They worked around our schedules and communicated every step of the way. I would do it all over again.

Gorgeous venue, incredible team, all around perfect day.

If you want a jaw-droppingly gorgeous wedding, The Lake @ Apple Hill is IT. My now-husband and I were on the hunt for a beautiful outdoor venue and were so excited to find this hidden gem tucked away in one of our favorite areas, Apple Hill. This venue is stunning from every angle --- from the trees to the lake to the multi-tiered venue itself, it was exactly what we wanted and so much more. Our guests can't stop talking about how it was the most beautiful wedding they'd ever been to! In addition to its picture-perfect scenery, we also loved working with the team at The Lake. Everything ran so smoothly and communication was always quick, clear, and pleasant. Would recommend this venue over and over again!

This venue and their team are pure magic.

I can't say enough good things about The Lake at Apple Hill. Planning a wedding these days is so overwhelming and once we found this venue, everything fell into place. This place is a hidden gem. Between the value, the open vendor policy, the included coordination team (which let me tell you is priceless), and the overall look and vibe of the property, look no further than this venue. Everyone at our wedding could not stop talking about how incredible the views were and how on top of everything our team was. Our wedding day did not go according to plan, between it raining and being an hour behind schedule our day could have easily been defined by these hiccups, but the rain only made the venue more magical, and our coordination team rallied to pivot on timeline and to work around the rain. They were constantly shifting decorations to make the most out of every detail we picked out, and I could not have been more grateful. Our wedding was magical because of the Lake at Apple Hill and our Courtney Lawhon Events coordinators, full stop. Do yourself a favor and see this property and book them for your wedding. The drive to the location and getting ready off site is worth it.

What more could you want in a wedding venue?!

Such a perfect venue

My only complaint is that you are required to have the month of coordinator. I personally did not have the best experience with them and it’s super frustrating considering they are almost half the price of the venue. If the venue was separate I would have absolutely no complaints the venue is stunning!!

We are so glad you loved the Lake for your wedding. It really is a magically peaceful place. Many of our clients love the optional "month of planning service" because it helps them with the many wedding details. However, this service is optional and not at all required. The Lake clients have the option of bringing in their own planner. I am so sorry if that was not explained to you correctly.

The most beautiful venue!

This was the first venue my fiancé and I had toured and we instantly fell in love! The lush greenery and trees, in addition to the lake created the perfect vibe we envisioned. The owners happed to be at the venue during our tour and they were the sweetest people. I just had my wedding on 9/10/22 and let me just say, it was the most amazing day!! The coordination team here is impeccable! They made my day 10000% stress free. In addition, they are super helpful and prompt when answering any questions I had. All of our guests raved about the beauty of this venue and the coordination team. If you’re deciding whether you want to book this venue, DO IT!!

Perfect Outdoor Wedding Venue

The Lake at Apple Hill was the most perfect wedding venue. We loved the mixture or woods and water and we appreciated how ceremony and reception spaces all flowed together as one. Our guests and us had a great time and we kept getting compliments on our venue. We would get married here all over again!

STUNNING wedding venue & AMAZING team!

My husband and I recently had our wedding celebration at The Lake at Apple Hill. It was amazing and beautiful and everything I dreamed of!

For the venue portion of our wedding, we communicated with Janet who works at The Lake, and she was so great! She was kind and friendly, and responded to all of our emails and questions in a timely manner.

We had an accident during the set up of our wedding (really close to when guests were arriving)... the main water line was hit by a vehicle, so the water was off and bathrooms were not working. Someone from the venue (possibly the owner?) showed up IMMEDIATELY to fix and resolve the issue. By the time the ceremony was over, everything was fixed and bathrooms working which was so great for the rest of the evening.

We were very well taken care of by the venue and our vendor team. We received so many compliments from guests for how beautiful the location was, and how it was such a hidden gem.

The venue is STUNNING, peaceful and naturally beautiful. The lake, trees, fire pit areas, the market lighting, landscaping... all the little details help to make this location magical. The team at The Lake do such a great job at keeping the space clean, are continuing to add and improve the venue which is so great for future couples.

We could not have found a more beautiful location for our special day!!

Janet and her team took care of everything and I mean EVERYTHING. They were patient and kind and were able to make the most out of our wedding! We were blown away by how much came together on the wedding day and couldn't imagine a better celebration! Thanks so much!

When looking for venues, I always knew we'd get married in the woods. The calming and peaceful serenity of the Lake took the part! The Lake is stunning! Absolutely breathtaking! Worth having any special memory here. Our wedding was amazing! So grateful to have the opportunity to get married here. So happy they are dog friendly too! Me and my husband just got married on March 12th, 2022 and Apple Hill/ CLE was an absolute breeze to work with. They were very organized, thorough, and so helpful. They made the entire wedding planning process extremely easy for me and they displayed everything exactly as I imagined. We had sooo many compliments from our guests on the ceremony, the venue, the decor, and the setting in general. I did not hear a single negative criticism from my guests about out entire wedding and that makes me feel so fulfilled and proud. I highly recommend this venue to anyone who wants that gorgeous outdoor forresty wedding. It’s elegant with the perfect touch of rugged that we were going for, and all at a really affordable price.

My husband and I are so thankful for the accommodations this team made to allow us to first visit the venue at last minute, to send us various details throughout the planning process, and support us while planning a destination wedding. The lake at Apple hill gives you all the romantic, pine tree, notebook vibes all in one. We got to dance under the trees and stars, enjoy privacy with our guests due to the secrecy and exclusivity of the venue. The lake at Apple hill is such a great value & allows the couple to bring their vision to life. The lake allows you to utilize vendors that meet their criteria while also meet your individual and personal needs for your special day. Trust me when I say it’s worth it to use their recommended vendors to have the piece of mind that everything will go smoothly. This venue also has such beautiful sites & opportunities to further celebrate with your guests throughout your wedding weekend. Including downtown Placerville, apple hill, several breweries or wineries, Tahoe just an hour away & then bigger department stores just 30 min to an hour away for all your last minute needs! Incredibly helpful, affordable + stunning venue

The Lake was the first venue my husband and I looked at when we first got engaged. We were looking for an earthy, natural, peaceful environment surrounded by trees to have our wedding. This place was the perfect spot! The venue manager had incredible communication, quick response times, patient with our questions, and so so kind, they were genuinely excited to make our day perfect for us. Alongside the perfect scenery, they’re contracted with an incredible wedding coordinator which is included in the total price. Absolute game changer. Our day was absolutely perfect and it all started with The Lake!

The venue and coordinating team literally made our dreams come true! From the tiny decorative details to schedule our engagement photos, The Lake at Apple Hill was by our side the whole time. Gorgeous Venue

The Lake at Apple Hill was the perfect venue for my wedding. I got married in May of 2021 and was originally booked at a different venue that sadly closed due to COVID. It ended up working out for the best because I happened upon this gem when they were just getting up and running and happened to have my exact date available as they had just began booking weddings! The venue is breathtaking with views of the lake, gorgeous landscaping, and the perfect canvas to build your wedding your way! All of my quests could not stop telling me how gorgeous the venue was! I loved that I was able to have all of my own vendors, and was able to purchase the alcohol for my event (as long as you get a licensed bartender). I was even allowed to have my pup in my wedding, which was huge for me and my husband!
The site owners were very amenable to my requests and last minute needs due to unexpected cooler weather. They were very kind and followed up with us after the wedding to make sure we had a great experience. Would recommend 100%. Also the coordinator they have for their site, Courtney, was the most amazing blessing to my wedding that I didn't know I needed at first, but couldn't have survived without!

The Lake at Apple Hill was the perfect venue for my wedding. I got married in May of 2021 and was originally booked at a different venue that sadly closed due to COVID. It ended up working out for the best because I happened upon this gem when they were just getting up and running and happened to have my exact date available as they had just began booking weddings! The venue is breathtaking with views of the lake, gorgeous landscaping, and the perfect canvas to build your wedding your way! All of my quests could not stop telling me how gorgeous the venue was! A Truly Magical Place

This is the perfect spot if you are looking for a beautiful outdoors, woodsy venue! We wanted to have our wedding in a place with truly natural beauty, that wouldn't take copious amounts of decorations or lighting to be magical. This was exactly that. The lake was the perfect backdrop for our ceremony, and our wedding pictures turned out stunning. There was plenty of space for our 100 person guest list, with unique areas for us to set up separate spaces for drinks, dinner, lawn games, and dancing. The dance floor was perfect and everyone danced the night away. We got so many compliments on our venue choice! We were worried about a massive heat wave and the Janet helped us think through all of the options, and answered all our questions throughout the process. She was helpful and patient and we couldn't be happier with our choice.

Above our expectations!

We absolutely loved our venue! it's truly a unique space and gave the perfect setting for our day. You cant beat overlooking the lake and the space provides great versatility as far as how you set things up. For us, it was just elegant enough to feel fancy, but you are also right in the middle of nature, so your country type guests won't feel out of place ;) Janet and her team were very very helpful, kind, and responsive to our needs which made things so nice. I would recommend The Lake at Apple Hill to anyone who asks. Jesus was so very present this day and He gets all the glory! We want to do it all over again! (without the planning part)
