  A great start to our wedding,

  From the first call I made to this venue, staff was extremely responsive and helpful. I live hours away from this venue, so being communicative was a big bonus for me. They called ahead to give directions, gave my family a personal tour, and answered all my questions with ease. Looking forward to creating our wedding here !

  Hometown Wedding

  We had an incredible day for our wedding and loved that this location was in our hometown! We were able to have a rehearsal the night before and got the venue the day of early in the morning to decorate and get ready. The cleaning people came and gave us a rundown of what we needed to do and were very helpful. The venue had everything we needed to decorate and for using the kitchen and areas to get ready in. As you can see from the pictures, we had an amazing day!

  Amazing venue!

  Words can’t describe how wonderful our day was spent at this beautiful venue. Spacious, beautiful and love the areas for the bride and groom to get ready in. The main barn is jaw dropping and made the night perfect. And the fact that everything is all in one location - simple and stress free!

  This place is beautiful! I had been looking at barns to have my wedding and found nothing else that compared, The Josephina was exactly what I was looking for. it also had much more to offer than other venues such as, tables,chairs, linens, an adorable vintage tub for drinks, and Bride and groom suites, for cheaper, no extra fees. The staff was super helpful and sweet. So excited to have my upcoming wedding here!

  Beautiful venue at a great price! I do however that a clean up should be included in the price of the venue, unless there is something drastic.

  This place is beautiful! If you're looking for the perfect rusitc outdoor & indoor wedding in the same location, this is your place. My fiance and I are even staying at their suite on the property, and it's the cutest little house.

  We got married at the Josephina a few weeks ago and it was PERFECT! They're in the process of doing updates at the venue and they've been amazing. The venue has a perfect blend of elegance and charm and really didn't need much decorations because of the beautiful lighting already there! I would recommend to anyone to use this venue for any event you may have coming up!

  Absolutely loved the venue! The chandeliers and private suites had me sold but they continue to update the property, making it more and more beautiful. My coordinator and catering had great things to say about the venue and people in charge. We married in May and luckily had the perfect day to have our ceremony outside; the background full of trees is just breathtaking and exactly what we were looking for. The staff are professional and prompt, very easy to work with. I also rented the Hogan House the night before for my bridesmaids and I and it was very comfortable and affordable. It was perfect!

  I had my wedding at the Josephina on July 15 and it was amazing! The property offers so much. The barn was gorgeous and came with big bathrooms, a warming kitchen, and an upstairs. The bridal and groom suites were perfect for getting ready and the housing on the property was super nice, clean, and was so convenient for after the wedding. The staff was always very responsive and willing to answer questions, and for the price you can't beat it! You choose all your own vendors and therefore can save a lot of money. Some things to be aware of are you are responsible for all set up and there is no onsite help the day of. There are cleaners you can hire afterwards but anything moved must be put back by you. One difficulty we faced was ice! There is a fridge but no significant space to keep ice frozen so unless your caterer can provide storage you have to prepare! We had to bring a deep freeze since local ice companies won't deliver containers on Saturdays. This was a tad stressful. Another thing is they book up very quickly! It can be hard to schedule a rehearsal since they even had weekday weddings booked so take care of that stuff sooner rather than later! Overall the space is beautiful and offered everything we were looking for at a great price. I would totally recommend this venue but 3 things they could improve on are ice storage, better lighting in the bridal suite, and a tv in the groom suite.

  My daughter was married here in August and, per many of our guests, was "the best wedding we have ever been to." While the bride definitely stole the show, the venue absolutely added to the beauty of the day. On its own, with no additional decor added, it is simply gorgeous. All of the table linens, chairs, etc are included, as are chandeliers hanging from the pitched barn ceilings, lighted tree branches lining both sides of the dance floor, and white lights strung throughout. Yes, it is a barn, but it is "elegance" with a touch of rustic on the inside. We researched so many venues throughout the Cincinnati area, and this was the loveliest venue, for a fraction of the price. We were also able to supply our own caterer, alcohol, etc which save a ton in cost. The only suggestion, which management recommended to us up front, is to try to keep doors closed as much as possible to keep your upstairs guests cool. There are two air conditioners which supply plenty of cool air. I forgot to mention this, so naturally people thought propping doors open was a great idea, and it did get hot. This didn't damper the fun, though, and actually encouraged people to join us downstairs for festivities. Also, if we had kept the doors closed we wouldn't have seen the amazing double rainbow God provided for the couple on that day. I highly recommend the Josephina, but if your date is open get it quick or someone else will snatch it up!!

The only issue we had was the shuttle service they recommended never showed up and it caused us to delay our ceremony while we waited for our guests to arrive and we then had to scramble to find another shuttle service. The Josephina has since removed this company from their list of recommended vendors.

  I absolutely love this venue! Its very practical for its pricing, especially with the size and with the availability. They have recently begun renovation on a home that you can rent out for your honeymoon, or just to get ready in the night before. And I love how rustic the area is! Great place!

  Simplistic

  This venue has been nothing but amazing. My wedding is on October 19th and even though I have yet to officially get married there, I have almost constant interaction with them via social media asking questions, giving feedback, etc. and they are just so professional and very quick with responses. I cannot wait to work more with them on my big day.

  I want to give an honest review, as my experience was mostly good but I think potential renters need could use this information. A few notes, both good and bad, to anyone looking for a venue- The venue is absolutely gorgeous! Everybody loved the scenery, and not much had to be added to decorate because it was so beautiful. The place is a bit hard to find, some of my guests got lost using GPS and missed the ceremony, even though there were simple directions written on the back of the invite. Make sure to warn your guest to use your directions, and not the GPS directions. There is plenty of parking, and the venue is handicap accessible. There are train tracks nearby- luckily a train did not go by during my ceremony, because the train is LOUD!! Trust me, the person showing us the venue said it would not be a distraction, but it is very loud- so fair warning. Also- the upstairs of the venue gets extremely hot. If you have a summer wedding, try to avoid using the upstairs. I contacted the venue about a week before the wedding voicing my concerns of the heat, and they gave me a very flippant, almost rude reply that the A/C is more than sufficient, but let me tell you now that it is not! I was a bit upset that they were not more helpful and that they had an attitude with me. There is not much insulation, and as soon as dinner was over all of the guests came downstairs where it was much cooler. So, just know that it will be very hot, regardless of what the vendor may tell you. They let you have plenty of time to set up, and we did our own cleaning after the wedding and got our full refund back. Make sure you take pictures though of where everything was before you start setting up so you know how to put everything back at the end of the night. We were very happy about the price, and that we could use our own catering and bartending services, which ended up saving us some money.
