The Josephina Event Venue is a historic barn wedding venue located in Dry Ridge, Kentucky. The beautiful and rustic property is conveniently located between Cincinnati and Lexington, making it an ideal spot for those traveling for the big day. Dating back to 1872, the property has changed hands only a few times. As the current owners endeavor to honor its unique beauty and history, they began by naming the venue after its first owner, Mrs. Josephine Hogan.

From an outdoor ceremony amidst the verdant land to a reception held within the 4,000-square-foot white barn, you can embrace beauty throughout your celebration. Outside, the ceremony area has a clear pathway for your aisle, leading to a simple white altar that can be brought to life with flowers and foliage. The barn has a spacious main level and an upper mezzanine that features chandeliers and wrought-iron railings, creating a rustic, romantic atmosphere. The Josephina Event Venue can seat up to 220 guests and has an attached warming kitchen for your convenience. Additionally, there are comfortable bathrooms and two preparation suites on-site, so everyone in your respective parties can enjoy the morning getting ready in style. These two separate quarters are quaint-yet-modern in style, and filled with natural light for those all-important getting-ready pictures.

They can provide you with a list of vendors they have previously worked with, but the choice is ultimately yours. When you book your wedding at this location you gain access to the property on the day of your wedding from morning until evening to ensure there is plenty of time to set up and tear down. Other event services offered by the team at The Josephina include cleanup services and internet access. The facility also provides tables, chairs, and linens on the day of your wedding. In addition to your ceremony and reception, the barn is available for other wedding events such as an engagement party, bridal shower, rehearsal dinner, or elopement.

Accommodations

The on-property Hogan House Suites was built in the mid 1800s and is available to those who host their wedding at The Josephina Event Venue. The house has beautiful upstairs and downstairs spaces with full kitchens and bathrooms on both levels. The charming historic home features the original hardwood floors, woodwork, doors, and hardware. The Galloping Goose Cottages reside next door with 10 private cabins that sleep 2 guest each. Each room comes with a bedroom, kitchenette, bathroom, tv and wifi.
