    Stunning Venue

We had our wedding ceremony at The Jewel Box and I couldn’t be happier with that decision! It was absolutely stunning without having to provide a single decoration! The venue provides such gorgeous photo backgrounds! The Jewel Box gives an outdoor feel while being inside a climate controlled building where you don’t have to worry about rain. The only caveat I will say is on a hot, sunny day it can get warm in there; in a building made out of glass the AC can only do so much. However, on our wedding day the temperature felt perfect!

    Wedding at the JewelBox

I was fortunate to have my wedding ceremony at the Jewel Box and it was beautiful. The flowers were full bloom and had luscious greenery. I highly recommend and suggest to book at least 1yr in advance. Dates go super fast. I booked 11months and 3weeks to my date.

We looked at lots of different venues, but none of them gave me the feeling I was wanting. We did our engagement pictures at the Botanical Garden, and I wanted something that kept with the floral theme... when we visitied The Jewel Box, i fell in LOVE! I was so amazed that living in St Louis my whole life, Id never been there. I told my fiance this is where were getting married! We called, and they said if you book with your wedding less than a year away, it was half off which was even more amazing! We got a great deal, everyone was friendly and helpful answering our questions. We didnt even have to bring decorations to the venue as it was already so beautiful! The only thing that bothered us was that they are very strict on time. But if you are good with time management it shouldnt be an issue.

Trying to find a greenhouse for a wedding ceremony within a year of the wedding date is difficult at best. Doesn't seem to matter the season, everyone want's one for obvious reasons; all the outdoors pretties without all the outdoors nasties. The Jewel Box was an amazing place for a wedding ceremony and worth the money spent for beautiful flora in a late Missouri November. Trying to get a reservation for the ceremony...took an act of divinity! It's not uncommon for the Jewel Box to book a solid wedding schedule 2 years in advance, so if you're set on a date and you're looking book within a year say a prayer or few. In my case, it was more about location than the date itself. The pictures were amazing (at all, content is as important as equipment). There's no heating or air conditioning because it's a greenhouse; it was perfect for cool weather, but I'd advise a personal assessment for you and your guests in the heat of summer ($1.00 entry fee is cheaper than a poorly prepared bride having heat stroke from a tight, thick gown). They don't provide sound equipment, but the acoustics provide the perfect microphone for those who can speak above a whisper but be prepared with a speaker or radio for music (a phone worked "ok," but lacked my desired effect; we forgot the speaker at home :( ). Also, don't plan a long ceremony; they book back to back weddings and we had 1.5 hrs for decorating, guests to arrive and be seated, wedding party to line up & enter, ceremony, wedding party exit, guests exit, wedding party pictures, and clean up crew to remove decorations and wedding party items (don't worry about chair set up, Jewel Box staff's got that down).
