My wedding was absolutely perfect thanks to The Hytch. I did not want the stress of a big wedding, but I still wanted it to be something beautiful. I got that and more with The Hytch. They made the process so easy, and The Hytch Crew was so knowledgeable and helpful. I knew at any point in the process I could reach out and get any help I needed. It was also easy to customize my wedding to add more things on, like photography because Ashleigh is absolutely amazing!! I look back at my photos and can't believe they are my wedding and not some wedding from a magazine. I also added on more time at the venue because I wanted to spend more time with my loved ones. The Hytch was so accommodating. Gina, Ashleigh, and Yeliz went above and beyond. The way they managed to capture what we wanted on our day blew my mind. I am so happy I chose the The Hytch for my wedding. My day was absolutely magical thanks to The Hytch Crew and I will be forever grateful to them for making my wedding better than anything I could have ever hoped for. -

We celebrated our wedding at The Hytch at Sierra Water Gardens, and I truly cannot say enough good things about our experience. From the very beginning, I was completely blown away.
Yeliz and our coordinator, Gina, were absolutely incredible. They are some of the kindest, most thoughtful, and genuinely caring people I’ve ever worked with. Throughout the entire process, they made my husband and me feel so comfortable and supported. They were always flexible with scheduling meetings, understanding with payments, and incredibly attentive whenever I had questions (or wedding-planning anxieties!). I always felt heard, reassured, and taken care of.
Gina absolutely nailed my vision. I showed her a Pinterest board, and she brought it to life beyond anything I could have imagined. The florals were stunning — and the team even made me smaller bouquets to take home afterward, which was such a thoughtful touch. The entire staff was professional, sweet, and so accommodating to both us and our families.
The venue itself is pure magic. The Hytch spans the breathtaking Sierra Water Gardens and backs up to the Truckee River, which makes for the most gorgeous and unique setting. The moment I walked in, I was speechless. It was everything I had dreamed of and more.
One of the biggest gifts they gave us was peace of mind. For an incredible value, you get the entire venue AND their team fully handles setup and breakdown of décor. That level of support allowed me to actually be present on my wedding day instead of worrying about logistics. I cannot overstate how much that meant to me.
We did experience one small hiccup the day of (our officiant was double booked and arrived late), but The Hytch team handled it with such grace. They pivoted quickly and generously allowed our celebration to run later so we didn’t lose any time. It meant so much that they cared about making our day whole.
Overall, the entire process was smooth, joyful, and truly breathtaking. I’m beyond grateful for the care, creativity, and hard work that went into making our wedding so beautiful and perfect. I would recommend The Hytch a thousand times over — and I will absolutely be finding another reason to celebrate there again. -

My daughter and her fiancé wanted an intimate, simple wedding with just a few family members. They did not want to fuss over lots of details or be stressed by making sure everything was ready on the day of the wedding. The Hytch was the perfect solution, providing a scenic oasis on the bank of the Truckee River for the event, and just the important services of a planner, an officiant and a photographer to make the wedding go smoothly. Gina was very responsive throughout the planning process and made it easy for my daughter and her fiancé. On the wedding day, the Sierra Water Garden was beautiful and peaceful, even in mid-winter (I can imagine it is stunning in the summer). The little house on-site provided a quiet, warm place for my daughter to get ready, and for the couple to have a few minutes of privacy after the ceremony and before the family photos (by the way, the house, newly remodeled and beautifully decorated, is available as an AirBnB – I recommend it for the night before and/or after a wedding, or for any couple just wanting a romantic retreat). Gina gently and efficiently directed the flow of the wedding, the officiant Darren did a great job with the ceremony, and Ashleigh the photographer took amazing photos before, during and after. If you are looking for a small, sweet wedding with minimum fuss and maximum love, I highly recommend the Hytch and the Sierra Water Garden.
P.S. Be sure to check out the plant store across the street, run by the owners of the Sierra Water Garden – it is amazing. We bought the newlywed a gorgeous plant, in a decorative pot with an “Always Love” ceramic ornament adorning it, as a memento of their special day.

Perfect vintage garden wedding
My husband and I got engaged in October of 2024 and planned to get married summer of 2026. At random we decided to tour the beautiful location of The Hytch at Sierra Water Gardens and we fell in love with it! The amazing Yeliz and Gina told us that they had an opening in July of 2025, and we were nervous about moving up the date so significantly. The Hytch at SWG team (Ashleigh, Yeliz, and Gina) absolutely made it happen and absolutely exceeded expectations! They supported us every step of the way, and brought my vintage garden wedding dreams to life! I started my new job as a nurse the week of my wedding, and they took all of the stress off of me! They helped me incorporate my vintage china and vintage thrifted glasses into the wedding, and used my grandmother’s crocheted tablecloth that she had made for me prior to her passing in the most beautiful and memorable way! Ashleigh was the most personable photographer with so much knowledge in her field! She made my husband and I feel so comfortable and got our sneak-peak images to us in less than 3 hours after the ceremony! The team was in charge of picking the florals and decorating, and myself, my husband, and our guests were blown away! I told Gina I planned to get my bouquet preserved, so she ensured they were kept safe and in water! My husband and I forgot to get the fruit for our planned “Summer berry water”, and Gina went out of her way to go to the store and get fruit, which did not go unnoticed and was so kind of her! We look through slideshows of our photos regularly and reminisce on how perfect our wedding was. We would absolutely recommend this venue and this team to anyone, we are already brainstorming ways to book this location for future events! Thank you The Hytch at SWG team! -

The Hytch experience is difficult to sum up in just 3500 characters! The professionalism, the dedication, care and commitment emanated by this team is so delightfully enchanting that one forgets that they are having an elopement! Our wedding felt as organic and natural as the one we originally planned for, and if I had to do it again, with this team, I’d repeat it 100 times over. My wife & I gave up on our initial venue due to the unrealistic pricing expectations and limitation on what we were and were not allowed to do. One might assume that if a venue + food is the same price as a down payment for a home, creative freedom would be automatic.
We found the Hytch immediately upon deciding that an elopement instead of a traditional wedding would be the correct course of action for us. The Hytch team created a majestic and unforgettable experience tailored to our wedding fantasy and desires to perfection. Skylandia Park encompassed all of the charm and beauty we had hoped for in an outdoors and beautiful but natural venue, and the Hytch team went above and beyond to ensure our day went off worry and stress free. Communication with The Hytch was seamless. My wife & I never felt any pressure during the planning phase, and they were always willing to accommodate us, and we're incredibly sympathetic to our previously botched experiences with our initial wedding venue. Gina & Mackenzie are sweet, considerate, and organically thoughtful people. To sum up our experience with the team, you can tell they are decent and kind individuals, that are in the business of creating perfect and memorable experiences for people that desire an affordable but still unforgettable wedding experience. They pour themselves into their work, and they become vested in you and your day. In this day and age, it is difficult to find such individuals and we are truly thankful to have found them in our time of need.
The officiant, Gregg Katz, is an honest and upfront person. When he called us to introduce himself and begin to understand our story, he was very candid. He let us know who he was, demonstrated his character through our phone conversation, and even provided advice. He was entirely understanding of us wanting to implement an old family tradition of, “Jumping the broom,” and was even curious and open to it. While I was nervous at the altar, he passed the time providing advice and used his own experiences to make the ceremony lighter, as I was becoming a bit of a nervous wreck before my bride arrived. (Thanks Gregg, I appreciate it man!)
Finally, we come to our photographer. I would find it difficult to believe there is another individual who loves her job as much as Ashleigh does. She made us laugh, kept us comfortable, and took beautiful shots of us throughout our wedding, and during our first moments as husband and wife. She too was entirely vested in our experience and made us feel like the center of the universe on our big day. We had a blast and I definitely recommend her as a photographer not only professional ability but personality and character!
If we had to choose again, whether I would choose to do an elopement with The Hytch, or go with a more traditional option, I’d choose The Hytch team in an instant. These folks deserve all the blessings they’ll definitely receive, and I hope The Hytch continues to prosper and grow! Aslo, Gina, thank you for helping us with our wedding license situation as well! We'd have been lost without your help!

Sierra Water Garden is Amazing!!
Gina and her team handled everything for us … the grounds were absolutely amazing, all the decor was on point, the photographer made us feel very comfortable and the pictures are gorgeous. The officiant was wonderful as well and everyone was so helpful and kind - it was truly an amazing experience and we are grateful for how it all turned out. Thank you!! -

If you want a seamless wedding day you need to book with the Hytch! Yeliz assisted us with the timeline and vendor recommendations and kept us on track leading up to the wedding. Not to mention this was a destination wedding with everything getting booked sight unseen so there was a lot more stress and factors. Gina assisted with our rehearsal as well as the day of coordination. My husband and I got married at Tahoe Blue Estate and their familiarity with the venue helped as well! The day went absolutely perfect thanks to Gina and her team! Once I got into hair and makeup in the morning I was completely hands off. Gina took care of all of the vendors coming in and out and all

We are so happy that we hosted our wedding ceremony and reception with The Hytch at Sierra Water Gardens. After searching for a venue for our 30-guest wedding, we struggled to find a venue happy to host a small wedding. At the suggestion of a friend, we contacted Sierra Water Gardens - and they welcomed us with open arms. The Hytch team has been amazing to work
with throughout the entire process, and made things so easy for us along the way. The team made our vision a reality purely from one Pinterest board showing decor ideas and colors. Having the Hytch handle decorations removed a huge load off our shoulders, and everything looked amazing. They had great coordination throughout the planning process, rehearsal, and wedding itself. They worked with our vendors and received our deliveries (cake, dancefloor) on our behalf. During our wedding, the team was lovely and supportive. They kept us on schedule and made all of the “background elements” happen. As the bride and groom, we were able to just relax, experience, and enjoy our day without having to worry about making anything happen. We highly recommend this venue. The setting is gorgeous, the Hytch team pulled out all the stops to bring our vision to life, they made everything so easy on us, and were amazing to work with throughout. -

We were married a few weeks ago at The Hytch at Sierra Water Gardens with a guest count of 50 people. And it was simply MAGICAL. From start to finish, everything was perfect, and it was all thanks to Yeliz, Megan, Gina, Ashleigh, and their incredible team.
The communication, professionalism, and kindness throughout the planning process was exceptional. Every question was answered promptly, and every concern was addressed with the utmost care. It truly felt like we had a friend guiding us every step of the way.
What really stood out to us was how personal everything felt. The attention to detail and the genuine care for making our day special were evident in every aspect. The decor was absolutely spectacular - it was more beautiful than we could have ever imagined, creating the perfect backdrop for our wedding.
Our guests haven't stopped talking about the magic of the day, and the charm of the venue - including the unexpected thundershower that was perfectly timed for right after the ceremony. A welcomed cool down in the 100+ degree heat!
We couldn't have asked for a better venue or a more dedicated team. If you're looking for a place that will go above and beyond to make your wedding day unforgettable, you found it. We love you guys!!

Smooth Sailing
The Hytch and their team were amazing throughout our entire process. From the beginning, we felt they listened to what we wanted and guided us from there. We really wanted to be married right by Lake Tahoe and also add a hike. If you’re thinking about doing a hike, think no further and just do it. You won’t regret it. The Hytch even hiked theirselves and sent pics and videos to us to make sure we liked the area prior to us arriving from Pittsburgh, PA. The communication and attention to detail was excellent! We can’t recommend this team enough and thank them from the bottom of our hearts for making our moment so special. It tailored to what we were looking for and would relive this day the exact same way over & over. We worked with Yeliz, Jason, and Ashleigh. They also provided us with a hair and makeup artist they recommend, mebeautyhairandmaleup and they nailed it! They were the most genuine and organic humans. We described how we wanted our moment to look and Ashleigh captured it in the most precious way. We even received sneak peak photos the very next day! Overall, just great people working here. We’ll never forget our wedding day. You will not regret choosing The Hytch! -

Absolutely stunning, when I walked into our venue on our wedding day I was shocked at how gorgeous and picture perfect everything was. The communication throughout the process was 10/10 these wonderful ladies really are professionals at what they do! The price for this venue is literally the best in town, throughout this process there was pretty much no stress on my husband and I they really take everything out of our hands and just provide everything we could have asked for and more. YOU HAVE TO GET MARRIED WITH THE HYTCH! We got married at Sierra Water Gardens which is a secret tucked away piece of nature with water features next to Truckee River in Reno, NV. They were super helpful, super responsive, and just made the day feel incredible. They let us bring in champagne to toast with, our coordinator Meghan video taped the whole thing on my cell phone as a last minute request, Ashleigh (photography) was just awesome at posing us and making us laugh the entire time, and Darren our minister was so thoughtful to tailor the 'sermon' to reflect the two of us. You can not find a better deal that you'll feel amazing about. I miss the experience already. DO NOT HESITATE TO HIRE THEM! -

Perfect business for your wedding!
When my husband and I got engaged, we started the process for a big church wedding and reception, but quickly realized that we wanted an intimate ceremony that we could enjoy with our family. We met in the Reno area a few years ago and decided to continue our story there, so I started researching elopement options there. I quickly came across The Hytch and we couldn't be more pleased and thankful that we went through them! Yeliz and her team were incredibly professional and made our day special and easy for us. They coordinated everything from the location, the officiant, the flowers, the photography, and even had recommendations for hair and makeup which were also incredible. If you're having a small wedding, stop looking and BOOK The Hytch! I randomly came across their website when I was searching for small wedding venues in Lake Tahoe and knew right away I was going to use their services, especially after seeing nothing but 5 star reviews everywhere. There's a reason they have 5 star reviews, they are the best at what they do. The booking process was easy and not complicated. Coordinators keep in touch with you throughout the totality of the wedding planning. The packages are flexible and customizable are very fairly priced for what you get. Yeliz (the owner) is the nicest human being and her team is just phenomenal. I worked with Shayla and Jason (Officiant) for the ceremony and they were the sweetest souls. Jason has a calming presence about him and made me feel so grounded.. I can't put my finger on it but he's a special one. I needed to accommodate my father who is partially handicap and Yeliz pulled off a beautiful location with easy walking access. I cannot say enough good things about The Hytch. They really have a great business model and I wish them all nothing but the best in the future! -

Breathtaking
This tucked away hidden gem is breathtaking. Nothing beats the ambiance of the place. As for the day of our wedding it stopped raining about 35 min before right our ceremony and it made it for a perfect evening. Right when I walked into the venue I couldn’t help, but tear up with joys of happiness. From the planning to the execution of our wedding everything was executed flawlessly. The Hytch team nailed every detail I had asked for. Yeliz and Abbie put my mind at ease. They are the most kind loving people I have dealt with. Additionally, if you are looking for a photographer the Hytch has Ashleigh on their vendor list and I highly recommend her. I am not a person who enjoys her pictures taken and her spunky, fun loving personality made everything so seamless. -

A dream come true
Addie and The Hytch team were so thougthful, oriented to details, kind and really made our dream come true. My now husband and I decided to elope after a decade of being together. We were looking for a small ceremony that felt personal and decided to transform our then ski trip vacation into a trip we’ll never forget. After much online research on “where/how to elope in Lake Tahoe”, The Hytch stood out to us because of the warmth shown in their photos, the beautiful details like the setting and the flowers and the variety of elopements which showed personalized details for each couple. Addie was always quick to respond and we clicked beautifully since our first call. She is so sweet, reassuring and helped us even with tips that went beyond their scope whenever we asked, like Hair & Makeup options, Breweries and Restaurants to consider. I was able to send her moodboards of what we envisioned for location/flowers/photo style which truly came to life on that special day. The flowers were beautiful. I even had a custom flower crown made by same team which I loved. The location was perfect, surrounded by nature and easy to get there. Addie and Ahleigh (the photographer) were awesome, so kind and with such good energy. The whole day was so special, I can’t help but smile remembering. And our pictures… I’m in awe each time I see them. I’m SO THANKFUL we found you guys! -

Perfect Team for a Small Wedding
I can't say enough amazing things about The Hytch. I found them on Instagram when I knew we wanted to get married in Lake Tahoe. Since we live in Maryland, it was quite daunting to plan a wedding across the country. Once I found Addie and The Hytch, it was like all the pieces fell into place. Through them we found our venue, photographer (thank you Ashleigh!) and hair and makeup (thank you Savannah!) vendors. It was a breeze planning with them and Addie was so responsive to all of my questions and concerns. The decor and flowers they provided were unreal. The entire day was more beautiful than I could have ever dreamed because of the attention to detail and care from Addie and team. I can't thank The Hytch, Ashleigh and Savannah enough for making everything about our wedding so special! -

Darren was amazing at helping us write our vows (this was going to be my hardest thing to write, not that I didn't know what to day, but how to get my word on paper and out of my mouth without mumbling around would be the hardest part). He was so responsive and gave so many pointers and links to help us write our vows also. On the day of, his speak was a surprise and turned out amazing. We picked a few things we wanted in our vows but he put everything together so nicely and we couldn't have been happier. Thanks again Darren for all your help! -

Just So Amazing..
The Hytch absolutely exceeded our expectations. Yeliz and her team know what they're doing when it comes to planning, decorating, and running the show. Our ceremony/reception set up was spot on and an absolute dream. They truly made our vision come to life and exceeded all of our expactations. We remember seeing our reception area for the first time and were completely overwhelmed with disbelief. It was so prefect, down to every little detail. Going back through our wedding pictures we are still in awe.
We were set up with Darren as our officiant and we absolutely loved him. He was perfect for our ceremony and made us feel comfortable and at ease. We didn't want a super traditional or serious ceremony, so he tailored it to our personalities and brought in just the right amount of humor.
We recommend Yeliz and her team to any couple who wants to make their wedding day a dream come true. -

Perfectly Simple and Individualized Experience
Our experience with The Hytch was TOP NOTCH! There is a reason they've been voted Best of Weddings and Couple's Choice for a couple years now- and they're just up & coming! The Hytch team is comprehensive and super responsive. They are not over-complicated... they strive to individualize your experience in the simplest way possible. I don't even know where to begin when I am trying to explain my experience with The Hytch. Let me start off by saying; I can not say ONE negative thing about them. I would not have changed a SINGLE thing about my wedding day- and that is saying A LOT when you put your wedding in someone else's hands. I was extremely stressed out trying to plan my own wedding. Then I came across The Hytch. I felt a sense of peace come over me when I started looking at their Instagram. I'm getting chills as I write this. We realized that we just wanted our closest friends and family together for a micro wedding. Yeliz was so kind and helpful and willing to do whatever we wanted. I changed days, times, places, packages that they offer, SEVERAL times. They never batted an eye! They never once made me feel like I was being indecisive (which is WAS) or that I was bothering them with all of my questions. I started looking more at their other Instagram page, which is "The Hytch At The Sierra Water Garden". Again, that feeling of peace came over me and I literally envisioned my whole wedding and I had not done that or had that feeling with any of the 10 other venues I had looked at! While waiting for my wedding, my only real responsibilities were to make my music playlist (they provided sound and a device to play the music from), and making a Pinterest Board. I had never been to the garden, I had never met any of these women, I have never been IN a wedding, so I really didn't know what to expect. You would never know that right in the middle of Reno this beautiful diamond in the ruff of a venue would be just tucked away against a river. When you are at the garden you forget where you are. This was important to me as a small country town girl, being in a city. For the third time, I had the sense of peace come over me and I knew I had picked the perfect place and the perfect option to get married through the Hytch. For the next 24 hours I had little to no stress leading up to the wedding. Once the wedding started, Addy (one of the Hytch girls) took over! She did not miss a beat. When I tell you that my day was perfect, I mean that whole heartedly and she was a HUGE reason why. She and the girl working with her were SO helpful. They followed me around helping with my dress, kept us on schedule with the sequence of events I was so nervous about, were so kind to everyone and just absolute ANGELS. They completely exceeded my expectations. The tables and decor were absolutely perfect. Addy was our officiant and she was perfect. We didn't have to worry about a THING. The photographer with the Hytch that we had the pleasure of having (Ashleigh) was equally as amazing. If I had the chance, I truly would not change a thing. If you are looking to elope, or have a wedding that is short and sweet, but still so special, this is the best thing you could do. I know that the more people who find out about them will travel to have an experience like mine, because it was just incredible. From beginning to the very end, it couldn't have been more perfect. Literally a FRACTION of the cost, stress, work, effort, all of the negative things that so many people dread about weddings. I will be forever grateful to The Hytch. I am in love with the ocean - and TheHytch packed up their amazing dream team and went to San Diego to provide us with the most amazing beach wedding! They handled every detail flawlessly. But what I am so amazed at was how they made us FEEL. (That deserves more than 5 stars!) We felt like we were the only couple in the world - their faces were full of light, energy and excitement to do what they are so good at. How do you even say, "Thank You" to a team like this who gives you lifelong memories?! Don't even search further - this is your team! -

Absolutely amazing!
This team deserves more than 5 stars! They are very responsive with my emails. They make you feel so welcome and loved that added more magic on our wedding day. They provided planning, officiating and photography all in one package at a very reasonable price. Ashleigh took our photos and was able to send us some sneek peek photos on the same day hours after the wedding which is a plus because we are all excited to share it on our social medias 🤗 I will surely avail their services again on our vow renewal 😊 -

So like many people our wedding was cancelled due to covid. My wife and I still wanted to get married on the date we set which was our 7 year Anniversary. So we decided on Reno and looked up places. The Hytch was one of the first places that came up. Oh I'm so HAPPY we went with them. We did the Mirco Wedding with a half hour photographer this past weekend. Addie was our planner and officiant and she was great, Yeliz is a sweetheart, and our photographer Kendall was absolutely fantastic. The venue is absolutely gorgeous. We had the most PERFECT little wedding we could ever ask for. The picture Kendall took of our wedding turned out absolutely beautiful he captured us so well. It was the BEST DAY EVER!! Many Thanks to Yeliz, Addie, and Kendall!! 👰👰♂️🥂🎉❤

We can’t even put into words how amazing Yeliz and her team is! We were fortunate enough to still have our wedding celebration this month, and it was a wonderful experience. I had contacted yeliz probably a year before we actually decided on a wedding date. At first we were interested in a big ceremony , then overtime decided we wanted something small and intimate. Both of which Yeliz gave us information on without hesitation. We ended up with the Elopement adventure package and let me tell you, it was an absolute dream. Yeliz is probably the easiest person to ever talk to, her response time is incredible and no question is ever too much or too silly for her. You spend such a small amount of time with everyone involved in putting your wedding together but every single person we worked with including Jess our officiant and Kendall our photographer, each one of them made you feel so absolutely important and heard. I could write a book on each one and how much we adore them. Every detail, every idea and every second you spend with them, they are present. I could go on forever how absolutely grateful my husband and I are for these three beautiful people forever. There was little to no stress in planning our elopement. (and only a little because I create my own stresses 😅) even in the middle of the madness in the world right now, they made the day about us and every single moment was absolutely perfect.
We would choose the hytch and our lovely team time and time again. You absolutely cannot go wrong with them. Thank you, you guys for everything you’ve done for us. We appreciate you three so much. -

We worked with The Hytch for our Day of the Dead themed elopement and we could not have been happier! They completely exceeded our expectations and provided a really unique, seemlessly coordinated wedding day for us. I provided my vision and Yeliz brought it to life and went beyond what I had even dreamed. Every element reflected us perfectly. She negotiated on the best pricing for us and found the most beautiful flowers and vintage rentals that brought traditional elements to our theme that made everything so special. Yeliz not only did a great job on the decor but also connected me with amazing photographers and a videographer. She also coordinated with my caterer and musician ahead of time which made everything flow with ease. Juston also was so helpful, from assisting with finding a location to reassuring our nerves and working with us to make sure our ceremony was the best reflection of our commitment to one another. We literally showed up and enjoyed every moment of our special day because The Hytch handled everything. I would highly recommend Yeliz and Juston to make your elopement exactly what you are dreaming of! -

My husband and I could not have asked for a better venue, décor set-up, or all around great time! I would recommend working with The Hytch to anyone who wants a stress-free wedding!
