Thank you, Rebecca and staff, for hosting our minimony at the Brookstown! Rebecca’s attention to detail and responsiveness was so helpful for minimizing my stress with planning during Covid. We felt so well cared for on our wedding day!

We were so glad we chose the Historic Brookstown Inn to be our wedding venue. Allison Watts, Director of Sales and Chef Erik were fantastic to work with. We had to essentially replan our wedding over again when COVID-19 hit. They were both flexible and tailored to whatever we wanted. Allison would help me talk through potential ideas to have a socially distanced wedding. Chef Erik’s food is delicious! You really cannot go wrong with any of his menu items. Day of, he even stepped up as our bartender because of a staffing issue. Not only is the staff amazing to work with, the venue itself is stunning. We utilized the courtyard areas for our wedding. We love the historic charm and exposed brick the Brookstown Inn offers. They have string lights in the courtyard areas that are beautiful and help create a romantic atmosphere. Best part is because they are an inn, you and all of your guest can stay there. We highly recommend choosing the Brookstown Inn for your wedding or event venue!

After visiting several different wedding venues in the Winston-Salem area, we took one step into the Brookstown Inn and realized our venue search was over! The historic inn is amazing and the staff wonderful! Allison has been our point of contact. She's easy to talk to and very helpful with all our questions. We're excited to be planning our Fall 2020 wedding at the Brookstown Inn!

From the moment we entered the Brookstown with our daughter and her soon to be husband, we where treated as honored guests. Rebecca, our event coordinator, was wonderful to work with. She was professional, responsive to questions and very helpful to first time bride, groom and parents. We received only compliments from our guests! The guest rooms are very spacious and our plated dinner was delicious. This is a wonderful inn with history and hospitality, a great choice for an all in one place experience. Thank you Rebecca and staff for making our daughter's wedding a day we will always remember!

The Historic Brookstown Inn really bent over backwards to ensure that my daughter's wedding was perfect. My family is still talking about how delicious the food was for the event.

The Historic Brookstown Inn is the most amazing venue. It is a hidden gem in Winston-Salem, NC. When my husband and I started looking for places, we both knew we wanted something slightly rustic with an exotic feel. Because we got married in the summer, we got just what we wanted in the Historic Brookstown Inn. The courtyard was filled with all kinds of flowers and greenery and that saved us on not only flowers but on the overall exotic look and feel. The rooms are really unique and comfortable. You get the old historic feel of Old Winston while staying there with the exposed brick and beautiful floors and furnishings. Rebecca, was super helpful and patient with us and even made some last minute suggestions that made our day even more special and unique. For the amount you pay for the location, it is worth EVERY penny in feel, resources and customer service. Our Food was AMAZING and their menu was very easy to choose from. Please don't forget to say his to Ms. Sally cat as she is quite the photobomber. She bombed our engagement photo and was there to greet me with her wedding collar on as I was about to walk down the aisle. Thank you Historic Brookstown Inn for EVERYTHING!

I had to plan my wedding in less than a year and got right to work on finding venues. It was so hard to find something affordable and something available on such a short notice. Rebecca at Brookstown Inn did a fantastic job at helping us set everything up. They provide pretty much everything. You get a room the night before and after, chairs for the ceremony, seating and tables for the reception, plates, glassware, silverware and so much more. There is a full staff to help you and their catering on site is AMAZING. I would recommend this location to anyone on a budget or anyone looking for a venue with a rustic or historic feel to it. Loved this place and Rebecca is amazing!

I can’t thank the staff at brookstown for all they did to make mine and my wife’s dream wedding come true. Rebecca was amazing to work with and was always very adaptable to our requests. The venue was perfect and the food was amazing. We felt that everything was reasonably priced and they more than accommodated to our every wish.

First off this venue comes with a cat! Sally (the cat) is a permanent resident of Brookstown and roams as she pleases. She was pretty much the star of our wedding and I loved it!

Second off we couldn't of picked a better venue! The food was amazing (they have an awesome chef AND we recommend the crab cakes) , the location was perfect, and Rebecca was always an email away when it came to pre wedding decisions.

Many of our extended family stayed here for our wedding, and it was perfect, both in terms of price and proximity. The Brookstown Inn has so much charm, which my husband's family loves. On top of that, it comes with a delicious breakfast and evening cocktail hour. Great place for a wedding block or just to visit.

What an amazing place! We got a ton of compliments on the venue and the best part is that our guest were able to stay on site!! Allison was great and such an ease to work with.

We held a wedding reception at Brookstown Inn in January 2017. It was absolutely AMAZING. Rebecca was so helpful in planning and Austin as well as the rest of the staff were so incredibly helpful during the actual weekend. The bridal suite was gorgeous and comfortable and great for photos. When we arrived the day before our event, we didn't have to lift a finger. They unpacked our vehicles at the reception space and stored all of our decorations. They helped set up and tear down everything. It snowed the night before and many of our guests weren't able to attend. They were so flexible and helpful changing the set up of the room and arranging accommodations for our guests and wedding party. Lastly, they provided catering and the food was unbelievably delicious. Marty worked with us and provided vegetarian and vegan options. I can't express how happy we were to have our reception at the Inn. We will surely be back to visit.

Deciding to hold our wedding ceremony and reception at the Historic Brookstown Inn was the best decision that we made when planning our wedding. The majority of our guests were from out of town so it was a priority for us to select a location that was easy and safe (after all the beverages) to attend. After we visited the Historic Brookstown Inn, we knew that it was the place to hold our wedding - the venue itself is classic and needs minimal decorations. Our guests shared the same sentiment. Allison, Austin, and the service staff were all responsive and amazing. When we booked the venue, the Inn had just transitioned to full service for events which made us a little nervous at first. However, after our complimentary tasting, we knew that we were in good hands. Our ~112 guests were served a fantastic plated meal. If we had the chance to have another wedding (only to each other), we would definitely select the Historic Brookstown Inn again.

When my now-husband and I started looking for a wedding venue we decided to look at Brookstown Inn first since it is right downtown Winston, very close to highways and basically so convenient for out of town guests. Well as soon as we stepped in we knew this was it. We didn't look at more venues, we chose Brookstown and we won't regret it ever! Allison, Austin and the general manager made our wedding a dream! We can't thank enough the staff! We also had two complimentary nights at the Old Salem Suite (Which is absolutely STUNNING)! From the setting up, to the FOOD, to the staff, to the cleaning, this venue gets a perfect 10! Our out of town guests loved their rooms (especially the wine and cheese, the high ceilings and the Ferrero Rocher on their beds!)

Allison at the Brookstown Inn made our reception planning so easy. The venue was gorgeous!

Brookstown was a beautiful venue for our wedding. We loved the look of the courtyard and the ballroom doesn't look like much until you add all your decorations. Outside in the courtyard we did not even need decorations the place was just so elegant looking. Our pictures turned out great there. The rooms are very nice. We stayed there the night of our wedding and the honeymoon suite was prefect. They also worked with me on getting a second room for my bridesmaids at short notice and when they were booked. They helped me out a lot and did whatever they could to make me a happy bride. They were amazing and I would refer them to any couple looking for the perfect place for a wedding ceremony.

This is an excellent place to have a dinner/dance reception after your wedding. Allison is great to work with and always willing to meet your needs. Our guests continued to comment on how beautiful the place is...

We worked with Allison at the Brookstown and she was absolutely fabulous. She was very attentive to all of our requests and EXTREMELY flexible also. We brought in lots of greenery and covered the chairs to help with the "dark" ambiance but overall the value was outstanding and we couldn't have asked for a more perfect venue.

The Brookstown was a unique location and it was a fantastic place to have our reception. We were very pleased with the many things they did for us--they made our special day even better!

Unfortunately, our wedding date had to be changed because this vendor had double booked our wedding with another; however, they fixed everything and even gave us 2 suites to use the day of and to stay at that night!! They were wonderful, the reception hall was beautiful, and the wedding went perfectly!!! :)

Out of all the places I looked the brookstown inn was the most beautiful and the most reasonable. They have beautiful suites and were extremely accomodating.

My husband and I were married at the Brookstown this June. We are originally from Ohio so the majority of our guests were out of towners, it was a no brainer to choose a venue that had on site accommodations. We got so much more from the Brookstown! Their staff was beyond amazing and helpful throughout the ENTIRE process - from initial planning to the very end of our reception and even the next morning! Our friends and family were blown away with the rooms, breakfast, beautiful grounds and hospitality they were shown. The space is so beautiful on its own - but they are open to almost any decor to make your day your dream come true. I really can't express my gratitude towards everyone there, or how perfect our entire weekend was there - but it is definitely a must for any trip or wedding in WSNC!

It was a most beautiful setting for our daughter's reception. The atmosphere and history of the location added so much. Everyone was helpful and pleasant.

Our wedding experience with the Brookstown Inn was nothing by positive. From the beginning my husband and I knew it was the perfect venue for us. The outside courtyard was the perfect setting for our dream ceremony and reception and the indoor options were a bonus in case weather forced us inside. I appreciate the flexibility the Brookstown and it’s staff offered in the planning since we had to have a plan A, B, and C due to the possibility of weather. Rebecca was our event contact at the venue and she even took the time to walk through all three plans with us throughout the process and at our final walk through. She is phenomenal! Rebecca is a very calming person which came in handy when crunch time hit. Every time I would start to get a bit overwhelmed we would meet with her or I would talk with her and she could calm my nerves without trying. My mom and wedding coordinator both raved after the wedding about how helpful Rebecca was the day before and day of while they were setting up. Weather did cause us to move the reception inside, but the Brookstown staff was nothing but accommodating even not forcing me to make a decision about the ceremony location since they knew I wanted to be outside and they held off to set up after the rain had passed (it poured all day until about 2.5 hours before the ceremony).

Favorite things about the Brookstown:
-The staff: Everyone was friendly, helpful, informative, and genuinely kind. Since it was a bit of a DIY wedding I found myself visiting the venue multiple times with my coordinator, mom, and various vendors trying to get an eye for how to decorate and plan. Since it is a public hotel it was easy to slide in and get a measurement even. Every time we went we were greeted by polite front desk staff and offered help or access to most rooms we needed. The day of the wedding it was all hands on deck which we did not anticipate but very much appreciated.
-Our guests could stay there! We had a lot of out of town guests so we ended up with half the hotel. Everyone LOVED the charm of the hotel. Breakfast was included, they do wine and cheese in the evening, and hot cookies and milk at bedtime.
-The food!!! The Brookstown has their own catering department and the food is AMAZING! We had trouble deciding what to serve because everything we tried at our tasting was so good. Our guests have since raved about how delicious it was, especially the prime rib.
-What is included: For the price we couldn’t find another venue that came close to this. Setup and breakdown of tables and chairs, linens, all dinnerware, serveware, and glasses were provided. The Brookstown also provided excellent servers and bartenders for our cocktail hour and reception.
-Getting ready there: The rooms are all larger than the average hotel room, but the groom and I both got suites to stay onsite the night prior where we had plenty of space for our wedding parties to hang out and get ready the day of the wedding.
-Dinner during cocktail hour! The Brookstown manager served my husband and I dinner himself in the bridal suite. We decided to take a few moments for ourselves and wanted to eat during this time so we could talk with guests while they ate dinner at the reception. This was the best decision we made in our entire wedding (aside from picking the Brookstown). Food was delivered hot and delicious along with a bottle of wine to a table that was beautifully set just for us in private. It was wonderful!
