    Spectacular Wedding Venue

    I do not typically review services, however, the outstand level of service provided by the Hermitage Hotel was not typical.

    The venue itself is breathtakingly beautiful and the service of all personnel associated with the hotel cannot be matched. The sales associate we interacted with, Erica Brand, was knowledgeable, friendly, accommodating, punctual, and honest. We were genuinely excited to participate in any meeting involving the hotel, because of the level of hospitality and professionalism we received from staff. She transcended the role of salesperson and attained our gratitude and friendship.

    Our ceremony was executed exactly as we envisioned. The cake was a work of art and our meals were exquisitely plated. Every food item was greater than the sum of its parts, culminating in an enchanting eating experience, which was the talk of our family circle for months. The drinks were expertly crafted and wine was divine.

    The rooms were clean, opulent, and comfortable. Polite and attentive, the bellmen and valets always carried themselves professionally, as well as, all the front desk personnel.

    In summation, if you would like to ruin every other event and hotel experience, because nothing else will ever compare, stay or play at the Hermitage Hotel.

    Best day ever!

    We had our wedding reception here and everything was so organized and perfectly executed! The hotel is beautiful, the food is fantastic, and the staff is very attentive! You need minimal decorations for a reception here because the lobby and ballroom are already so beautiful.

    Magical Elopement

    My husband and I chose the elopement package at the Hermitage and we are so glad we did! The staff is wonderful, truly professional, kind, and attentive. They treated us like royalty! The package comes with the space for the ceremony, a cake by the hotel's pastry chef (it was DELICIOUS), bouquet and boutonniere, champaign, and officiant. We just got a photographer and someone to do my hair/makeup and showed up! We also opted to stay in the hotel, which I also highly recommend. Our ceremony was perfect, and we are so glad we chose the Hermitage! The hotel itself is beautiful and the service is unmatched.

    The Best of the Best!

    The Hermitage Hotel made my wedding day dreams come true. From the moment you walk through the doors, you receive first class service. The hotel and event staff went above my expectations to make our guests feel comfortable and make our weekend celebration magical. From the choice of newspaper to the personalized stationary and complimentary champagne, the staff has thought of everything. Janelle was fantastic and made even the smallest details a top priority. She completely understood my vision and exceeded all of my expectations. We are forever grateful (and spoiled) by the relationships we made. The Hermitage Hotel will forever hold a special place in our hearts.

    Outstanding Venue!!

    We had a small wedding (32 guests) in the Veranda where we had the ceremony on one end of the room and the reception on the other. We preferred this, but there were SO many options of how we could have set up everything! Janelle Caudill was our coordinator and she made everything so easy!! She made sure flowers, cake, bar, food and everything was set up perfectly! I highly recommend her and using this venue! It was the perfect day/ venue for our August 18th wedding!

    Alyssa Wenger and the team at the Hermitage were FANTASTIC! Though I grew up in Nashville, I since moved away and Alyssa made planning from afar a breeze. I can’t express my gratitude to her - our day would not have been the same. It was the perfect venue and nothing else in the city can compare in terms of history, social experience, food, versatility or service. A breathtaking, history rich venue that we will always cherish - and we will keep coming back. You won’t regret a second of your time there, you’ll only wish your wedding could last longer!

    My husband and I were thrilled with our wedding reception at The Hermitage Hotel. The entire staff was extremely attentive and paid attentive to every detail. All of my guests had a wonderful time and the setting couldn't have been more beautiful or elegant. Alyssa did an amazing job of helping me feel at ease about every step of the planning process. We made many memories that will last a lifetime and are very happy about our decision to have our reception at The Hermitage Hotel.

    The Hermitage Hotel is a breathtakingly beautiful place for a wedding reception. We could not have been more pleased! I gave it a 5 star rating; I could have easily given ten stars! Alyssa Wenger was our wedding coordinator and she did a great job. She was eager to help in any way -she answered our questions promptly, addressed our concerns, and made helpful suggestions to make our day extra special for our family and our guests. She was a joy to work with in every way.

    This is the perfect place for a wedding and/or reception. The architecture is breathtaking. The colors are warm, inviting, and elegant. They have done such a great job of preserving the hotel and the integrity of the building. They take care of everything... and you just show up! The tables, tablecloths, serving staff, (delicious red-velvet) cake, food, etc.

    If you decide to have your rehearsal dinner/welcome party/wedding/reception at The Hermitage Hotel... be sure that you find Alyssa Wenger! The woman is amazing, organized, helpful, clear, detailed, thorough, and excited about your wedding. She is joyful, on time, and knows how to prioritize your priorities and make it all happen the day of the wedding. She will walk you through the initial consultation and be there when you run through the bubbles/sparklers at the end of the day.

    The Hermitage Hotel is/was the perfect venue for our wedding. Not only is the hotel historical and stunningly beautiful on the outside..the inside radiates with beauty, history, hospitality, friendliness, cleanliness, "a can do attitude", and makes an amazing backdrop for making memories with friends and family. Carly Spielvogel was a rockstar for me and my fiance. She was responsive, timely, patient, kind, friendly, creative, and tailored our wedding to our preferences. We trusted her opinion and she is one of the most experienced people I've worked with in the hospitality industry. She is a person of "yes!" Her vocabulary is full of "Yes, we can do that" and "if we can't, we will find someone who can." She made excellent vendor recommendations which made planning from California a breeze! All the vendors she recommended for the wedding were affordable and did a remarkable job! Considering I didn't have a planner that I had hired, I think I struck gold with the experience of Carly and The Hermitage Team! Our guests had an easy experience booking their rooms at The Hermitage and commented on the overall service and hospitality of the staff at the hotel! They loved the rooms and it made the perfect Southern Backdrop for our Christmas Wedding! What a gorgeous venue....the big Christmas Tree in the lobby and all the garland and wreaths that adorned the place really put everyone in a festive mood and limited the amount of decorating we had to do. We also hired a piano player for the cocktail hour who played on the grand piano in the lobby--what a special treat! The deliveries and setup for the band were seamless...I honestly don't even know how they did it because no one ever had to contact me for anything day of the event! Also, the food was amazing! Our guests enjoyed the filet and salmon and the sides were so good! Our friends were so impressed that food for over 100 people could taste so fantastic!

    Our wedding at the Hermitage Hotel entirely exceeded all of my expectations and fulfilled every dream for our special day. The venue itself is absolutely stunning, but the service is the best I have ever seen. Every single person, from the front desk to the servers at dinner to the valets were delightful every. single. time. we interacted with them, whether it was our wedding night or just another day popping in for a meeting. The food was spectacular. Not just your average wedding food and menu, but made in-house, from scratch deliciousness, with ingredients locally sourced.

    And the best for last, Christina! She was incredible! I planned the entire wedding myself without the help of a planner, but with Christina at the Hermitage, I did not worry or stress for an instant on the day of. She whipped everything into shape, and did it ever look gorgeous! There are no words for how impressed I was with her commitment throughout the planning process and, especially, the day of the wedding. She was even the person I relied on to take my veil out at the last minute when I realized I forgot to ask someone before I made my entrance into the reception.

    Overall, I would give the Hermitage a million stars if I could. The culture, value, and just plain gorgeousness of the venue is worth it in itself, but with the addition of the 5-star service and staff, there is no better place in the world for a wedding! To say we were pleased would clearly be an understatement.

    Erin Pangerl, the events gal I'm working with for me wedding sold me on the Hermitage Hotel. Yes, it's historic and beautiful and everything I could have wanted, but I had some other venues in mind, too. She has been a wedding planner before, so she understands what a bride wants for herself and for her guests on her wedding day. Erin talked my mom and me through a flawless vision of the day, of our guests' arrival to the hotel, of recommended decor. She worked with us to select the food and beverage to fit our vision and our budget. Yes, the Hermitage Hotel is expensive, but for the exclusive run of Nashville's most historic hotel with a professional wedding planner included, the value is tremendous.

    We had the most amazing wedding at the Hermitage Hotel!!! The hotel is gorgeous - it is grand and ornate, completely stunning, breathtaking - and our guests were taken aback by the beauty of the Veranda (ceremony), Lobby (cocktail hour) and Grand Ballroom (reception). We had a few bumps in the road with the staff turnover, but in the end, the current event manager took over - Curtis - and we couldn't have asked for a better person to work with. Curtis is nice, patient, responsive and accommodating. A true pleasure to work with. We were so pleased with how everything turned out - every little detail was perfect! As for the food, our guests were blown away! We received so many compliments on the cocktail hour food, entrees, and the take-away treats! The chefs and kitchen staff were wonderful - from helping us create the perfect menu during our tasting and going out of their way to make our dessert ideas into a realty even when they weren't on the menu through delivering so well on the night of, we were beyond pleased. I would recommend the Hermitage Hotel to anyone looking for a historical, classy, special venue - we had the most amazing night of our life, and the venue had a great deal to do with that! The beauty, uniqueness and service at the Hermitage is unparalleled.

    We used the Hermitage Hotel for our ceremony, cocktail hour and reception and we could not have been happier! As Tennessee's only 5-star/5-diamond hotel, the Hotel went above and beyond for our wedding. We mostly worked with Amy Parman, the special events manager, and Allie Dillon, the sales manager. Amy worked with us on details such as timeline, food and drink for our guests, setting up meals for our wedding party on the day of (breakfast, lunch), floor plans, and even provided suggestions for vendors for special lighting and transportation. She was an amazing resource and we really appreciated her professionalism and calm demeanor. With Allie, we set up the room blocks for our out-of-town guests. The service at the Hermitage Hotel was second to none and truly a great value. Rent for the Veranda, Lobby and Grand Ballroom was very reasonable, and lovely linens, chairs and dinnerware are all included at no extra cost (unless you upgrade). The Capitol Grille provides all of the catering except for your cake - the food was amaaaaazzzzing and our guests loved it. At the end of the night, somehow my husband's and my luggage ended up in our rooms, as well as the gifts we had received. We were given complementary champagne and chocolate-covered strawberries to celebrate! Everything was perfect. If you want to have a beautiful wedding at a memorable location where your guests will feel welcomed and well taken care of, work with The Hermitage Hotel!

    The Hermitage Hotel provided a perfect evening for my daughter's wedding reception. They were extremely easy to work with in planning our event. Every last detail that we discussed was carried out perfectly. The recommendations that they made helped to make the reception perfect. My husband and I could sit back and enjoy watching our daughter and new son-in-law celebrate their marriage with family and friends. My only criticism is that ballroom did get a little warm. But, we were about at capacity for the ballroom, we had a band, and we had a lot of candle light, all which contributed to the heat. I would highly recommend The Hermitage Hotel to anyone planning a wedding and/or reception in the Nashville area. I was actually planning this from out of state, and Amy made everything so easy for me! They are the best!

    From the first time my husband and I walked into the hotel looking for wedding venues, we both fell in love with it immediately! There was no question this would be where we would get married. Hannah Falkosky was amazing to work with, and made the entire year of planning feel easy. We had around a 100 guests, and we had several of them come up to us expressing that this was hands down the most beautiful wedding they had ever attended.

    We stayed both Friday and Saturday night, and I have never had such a wonderful experience at any hotel. The entire staff was extremely friendly, and made ever effort to make sure everything was perfect! After the reception was finished the hotel had upgraded our room to the executive suite, which was amazing to say the least! Our wedding was only one week ago, but my husband and I have already decided we will be celebrating our 1 year anniversary weekend at the Hermitage Hotel.

    We had the princess wedding my daughter dreamed of and planned for so many months. Hannah Falkosky, our contact person at the hotel, was the epitome of professionalism--competent, efficient, helpful, patient, thorough, good-humored, and absolutely delightful. And the Hermitage doesn't seem to know the word "no"! The hotel and kitchen staff honored every request from the bride and groom, no matter how unusual. The setting is stunning, the food is delicious, the staff is wonderful. We were there the Sunday after Christmas, and the venue was magnificently decorated for the season so we also saved money on floral decorations. We would do it all over again, and again, and again....

    The Hermitage Hotel made our wedding even more perfect than we could have hoped. From our first contact (well over a year ago) Hannah Falkosky and the entire team was professional, responsive and willing to fulfill our every request!

    Even though we were probably one of their smaller weddings (60 guests), we were treated like their most important guests every time we visited or emailed. Although there was a set banquet menu, Hannah and the banquet chef Charlotte worked with us to set up a delicious s'mores bar and several other hors d'oeuvres that weren't on the menu. I don't think we EVER heard the word "no!"

    The hotel and venue are gorgeous and look expensive, so I was initially worried about the cost of hosting a wedding there. However, the professionalism of their entire catering staff, from the coordinators and chefs to the bartenders and servers made them well worth it. The fact that they provided Chiavari chairs (no cheap fold-out chairs here!), tables and an amazing selection of beautiful linens makes them an excellent value. We didn't have to deal with a rental company, which saved us money and stress.

    What stands out most to us, looking back on our wedding, is the extra love and attention the Hermitage Hotel devoted to our event. They gave us a complimentary room for the night of our wedding, which we found out the day of our wedding had been upgraded to the PRESIDENTIAL SUITE. When we finally arrived in our room (which was indescribably gorgeous) they had sprinkled rose petals on the floor, brought up all the gifts from our gift table, food from the reception, a bottle of champagne, and more. We were amazed at the effort they put into making us feel special!

    In short, the Hermitage Hotel was more perfect than I could have dreamed. The food was delicious, service attentive and professional, and the "bang for our buck" was incredible. We're already looking forward to visiting on many anniversaries to come!

    We had our wedding reception at the Hermitage Hotel in July, and it turned out better than we could have ever imagined. The Hermitage Hotel is top notch in beauty, service, and food. Hannah Falkosky was absolutely wonderful, and was a dream to work with. She made our wedding reception perfect, was such a pleasure to work with, was incredibly responsive, and would do anything to make our reception perfect. It was a very stressful decision in trying to find the perfect wedding reception venue in Nashville, we needed to stay on a tight budget, yet wanted wonderful service, food, and atmosphere. When we met with Hannah, and toured the Hermitage Hotel, we knew immediately it was the perfect place for us. The night of the reception was perfect, the food was incredible, the servers, and Hannah, were very attentive and kind, and they made sure all of our guests had everything they needed. We chose the Mustard Rubbed Chicken Breast, and the Wild Caught Salmon, and both were incredibly delicious. We had so many compliments from our guests that their food was some of the best they had ever had. I have had numerous guests tell us that our wedding was the nicest that they had ever been to. They were all blown away by the food, the service, and the beauty of the Hermitage Hotel.

    We stayed in the Presidential Suite the night of our wedding, and Hannah had my bridal bouquet on the bed, along with a bottle of champagne, and two pieces of our wedding cake waiting for us. It was incredible, and made me cry! It was the perfect ending to a perfect wedding day. The next day, we requested a late checkout because we did not want to LEAVE! It was so hard leaving! We will be spending our anniversaries at the Hermitage Hotel. It was a dream day, Hannah was a dream, and the Hermitage Hotel was better than we could have imagined. I wish we could relive that day over and over again.

    I cannot commend Hannah enough, she is a true asset to the Hermitage Hotel. Thank you!!!

    This was my son's wedding. The venue is beautiful and made a gorgeous place for a wedding. Katie was the absolute BEST. She was constantly on the move and making sure everything was satisfactory. She knew our needs before we asked for anything. I would highly recommend The Hermitage as a place to have your wedding. Thank you Katie!!!

    I could go on for days how ABSOLUTELY PERFECT my wedding reception at the Hermitage Hotel was. I truly felt like I was royalty on the day of my wedding. The classic beauty and elegance the Hermitage exudes was one thing that made my wedding unforgettable, but the attention my husband and I personally received from the staff was OUTSTANDING. Kimberly (our wedding coordinator at the Hermitage) was by my side for months before the wedding making sure everything was exactly as I wanted it to be. She was always on time, always smiling and always eager to please. On the day of the wedding she made sure I was waited on hand and foot by the staff- I TRULY FELT LIKE A PRINCESS. We were given EXCELLENT service and were treated with the respect you want when you are hosting the biggest party of your life. I will always be grateful for the Hermitage Hotel and for Kimberly in making my wedding experience wonderfully flawless.

    Our wedding weekend, which included a welcome reception, the ceremony and reception, and a breakfast, was absolutely perfect thanks to The Hermitage Hotel and Hannah Falkosky!
    Hannah made every aspect of planning incredibly easy...she was always two or three steps ahead of us and had wonderful ideas regarding food and beverage (our guests are still raving about the delicious food which was displayed beautifully and also the specialty drinks), set up and the overall weekend planning. It was as though Hannah read our minds! The planning was handled by email and I actually did not meet Hannah until I arrived in TN the week of the wedding. Each email was answered immediately and efficiently. It was as though for the past year, Hannah was a member of our family! We learned early to relax and let Hannah take care of us which she did beautifully from the moment we first contacted her until we left the hotel after the wedding weekend.
    Add to the above a gorgeous hotel with the most gracious staff who are there to anticipate every need and the result was the most perfect wedding and weekend!

    I cannot say one bad thing about the Hermitage and their staff. Hannah was incredible to work with and everything about the day was perfect. She was always one step ahead of us and made it so we did not have to think about anything and could enjoy the day. The entire planning process was a breeze as well as Hannah and the catering staff were knowledgeable and helpful and made sure that everything we had from the night before to the wedding and the breakfast the next day were exactly what we wanted. Everyone raved about the food and the venue itself was beautiful!

    The Hermitage Hotel provided the most beautiful backdrop to our wedding. We had our ceremony and reception at the hotel, and the venue is so amazing and needs very little extra adornment. We worked with Kimberly Gawthorpe, and she was incredible helpful and always available for questions throughout the planning process. She made planning a wedding from out of town very easy.

    The food was delicious and was definitely the best food I've ever had at a wedding. Kimberly and the Hermitage staff took care of everything throughout the wedding and reception. Everyone was incredible professional. I would recommend this venue to anyone wanting a fancy backdrop to their reception and the highest level of customer service during the planning stage and the wedding day.

    The Hermitage Hotel was an absolutely amazing venue for our wedding reception. We worked closely with Kimberly G. who by far exceeding all of our expectations. We found out we were over capacity of the Grand Ballroom the week before the wedding, and while on leave for surgery, Kimberly took care of everything for us. We ended up using the Ballroom and Veranda for our dinner and it turned out absolutely gorgeous. It far exceeded what we had imagined for our Reception.

    While at the Reception we had also found out our marriage license was not signed correctly. Kimberly went out of her way and drove our Best Man/Groom's Father back to the Church (Cathedral of the Incarnation) to ensure everything was correct. This was so unexpected and we are all so grateful for her. She had also made a suggestion for our exit that she has seen our band do in the past and it turned out great---we still get compliments on our exit and of course the Hermitage Hotel. We couldn't have asked for better!

    The hotel staff is such a pleasure to work with--they are all very friendly and accommodating to our guests. The hotel is beyond gorgeous and most of our guests were in awe the whole night. Around 80% of our guests were from out of state and really enjoyed getting to celebrate in one of Nashville's greatest treasures.

    At the end our night, we went to our room-The Presidential Suite. It was beautiful. We had dinner ready (in case we were still hungry) and set up at the Dining Room, a slice of each flavor of our cake laid on a decorated plate, champagne, and our wedding wine we brought in in our Master. Our bouquet's were beautifully laid out on our bed as well. We truly could not have asked for more.

    We would love to have the opportunity to celebrate another special occasion at this hotel--truly a great day for us both!

    Not sure why you'd want to have a reception anywhere else in Nashville!! The Hermitage Hotel is hands down the most beautiful space in the city. The entire staff was fantastic. Everyone we encountered was kind, respectful, and efficient, from valet guy who parked the cars to the wait staff who bused the dirty plates. The food for our buffet luncheon was excellent -- my mom said it was the most tender beef she'd ever eaten. But the jewel in the crown is Hannah Falkosky, the Hermitage's catering manager. Working with her was an absolute pleasure. She was incredibly responsive and professional. Her estimates were right on target ( we stayed 100% within our budget!) Hannah genuinely made me feel like my wedding was special and important. Fantastic planning experience, and a fantastic event. Guests have not stopped talking about how wonderful it all was.

    My husband and I had our wedding reception at the Hermitage Hotel on May 11th of 2013. It was everything and more than what we dreamt. Hannah Falkosky was brilliant. To all brides looking into the Hermitage, know that Hannah will remember everything you ask for and will make your day absolutely perfect. (One tiny example: she remembered to bring an extra full length mirror to my mom's suite that I had asked for two months before and that I had completely forgotten). Hannah is there all day to make sure everything at the hotel is set up perfectly but is also there for you and your husband. She made our day/night so so special, and it allowed us to just enjoy the night. I did not have one worry or issue.

    The hotel is stunningly breathtaking (part of the reason we chose the venue), and the staff, from the bartenders to the concierge to the bellmen, are wonderful. They go above and beyond to meet your requests and are so friendly and polite. The reception was perfect; everything was set up beautifully (the linens are incredible) and the food and drinks were delicious. You have the option of four or five different high end linens included in the rental fee along with your choice of chiavari chairs or banquet chairs. Also, know that even if the hotel looks unaffordable, it's not. It is more reasonably priced than alternatives because of the amenities that are included.

    The Hermitage Hotel truly made our special day perfect, and we cannot thank them enough. At the end of the night after the reception ended, we went to the AMAZING presidential suite. Hannah and the hotel staff had the bedroom set up with rose petals on the bed and part of our wedding cake on a beautifully decorated (with chocolate) platter, champagne, and my gorgeous bouquet in a glass of water. It was the perfect end to our perfect day.

    The Hermitage is such an elegant and classy venue. I could not ask for a better place to have my wedding. Everything was PERFECT! The staff was wonderful and super attentive. Hannah the catering manager truly made sure everything went smoothly, and she was so helpful throughout the entire process-from planning to walking down the beautiful Veranda's aisle to the reception. I am still getting complements about how amazing my wedding was. My husband and I were truly pleased with our experience.

    The Hermitage Hotel is a beautiful location for a wedding. Besides, that it was a pleasure working with Hannah, the catering manager. She was extremely professional and walked us through all the stages of planning our reception. WE could not have asked for a better person :). Also, the serving staff during the reception was very cordial. They made sure that all the guests were having a good time. One of the guests had back pain, and the staff got her pillow. It was too big so he went back and tried to figure out what would work. Also one guest had a baby to take care of. The staff just took the baby from her and took care of her until the guest was ready to leave, relieving her to enjoy the party.

    We had our ceremony and reception at the Hermitage Hotel and had an amazing experience. Kimberly was fantastic and went above and beyond to make my dream wedding a reality. The hotel is gorgeous and the staff is so wonderful to work with. I could not have been more pleased with everything... it was PERFECT!

    Jacqueline Taylor, wedding coordinator at the Hermitage Hotel, is AWESOME!!! Could not have done more to meet our needs and made outstanding suggestions to make the reception special.     The Hermitage Hotel was a wonderful venue for our wedding reception. Not only is the venue absolutely stunning - our guests were certainly quite impressed by the gorgeous lobby and beautiful, cozy ballroom - but the people with whom we worked were extremely responsive. While there is a catering menu from which to elect menu options, The Hermitage Hotel was more than willing to cater to requests for alternate options or variations, and essentially made planning the menu an open book - very exciting! We are so excited to be able to return to The Hermitage Hotel in the years to come, knowing that it will be there and open for us to celebrate many anniversaries. As the father of the bride stated: it is the greatest hotel of all-time!!

    We had our ceremony and reception at The Hermitage and it was wonderful! Very helpful! Jacqueline Taylor was our coordinator at The Hermitage and she went above and beyond to make our day exactly what we wanted and in our price range. She is phenomenal! We wanted something very small for family only - so she suggested The Veranda for both ceremony and reception with a cocktail/appetizer hr between in the lobby. It was wonderful and just what we wanted! I couldn't ask for anything better! Highly recommend without any hesitation!

    If you are looking for a venue for the ultimate and perfect wedding reception, then The Hermitage Hotel is it!!!!! This vintage setting is beautiful and only further enhances any celebration you plan. My daughter's wedding reception was held there on Saturday night, June 25, 2011. Kimberly Gawthorpe was fantastic...extremely professional, friendly, caring, and cheerfully and completely answered each and every question which my daughter and I asked (and there were many). When she says, "It's going to be all right and everything will be just perfect!", she truly means it. Her complete attention to detail allowed my daughter and me to enjoy thoroughly the entire evening without worrying if something was going to go wrong. The food was delicious; the service was excellent. Our guests continue to tell us what a wonderful event it was. And my daughter continues to tell me what an absolutely amazing night it was!!!!

    I had my wedding at the Hermitage Hotel and it was EVERYTHING I have ever dreamed of! Jacqueline, the wedding planner there, is absolutely AMAZING and she pulled off my whole wedding with only one month to plan! She always returns phone calls in a timely manner, grants all the wishes you could ever have for your wedding day, and has the best personality to work with. And, if you are not dead set on having your wedding on a Saturday, then having it on a Sunday cuts your price in half!!! She will work within your budget and will do everything she can for you. The staff at the Hermitage is wonderful, and the bride and groom get to stay there that night for free! It's a beautiful, 5 star hotel and the only one like it in the south! You will not regret choosing this location for your wedding and reception.

    Having my Wedding Reception at The Hermitage Hotel made me feel like a princess in an early 20th century castle. The service, food, and attention was first class. The most beautiful place in Nashville.

    My husband and I had our reception at the Hermitage Hotel on February 6, 2010. We has the pleasure of working with Kimberly Gawthorpe in sales. She was an absolute joy to work with. I highly recommend her. She was always available for meetings and phone conversations. She went out of her way multiple times to make sure we had everything that we needed. You cannot go wrong with this venue. Our reception was classy and elegant. We still receive comment to this day on how beautiful and perfect our reception was.

    The Hermitage Hotel has quite possibly the best guest service out of any place I have ever been. We actually had our reception location at a different venue, but unfortunately we were flooded out. The Hermitage Hotel, along with our planners, helped move us. The move occurred within 3 days of the flood and we couldn't have been happier. Everything went off without a hitch and I sincerely have Pam, The Hermitage Hotel Even Planner, to thank. She is quite possibly one of the nicest and most accomodating people that I have had the pleasure of doing business with.

    I am not really able to give an accurate depiction of the cost and flexibility because we moved everything three weeks prior to our wedding, and The Hermitage Hotel honored our contract with the previous venue.

    Five Star doesn't even begin to describe this venue, the service, and the experience! We had a small contingent of less than 30 for our wedding and The Hermitage Hotel made it the most elegant, memorable, and affordable wedding/reception one could ever imagine. We used the veranda for the ceremony and the reception with plenty of room for a dance floor, live musicians(4 string quartet), gift areas, munchy tables, and a full sit-down white glove serviced dinner.

    First, and most importantly, Kimberly Gawthorpe is the most courteous, gracious, and attentive person a bride could ask to work with for her wedding day. She managed everything to a 'T' with compliments to her, her staff, and to the hotel still coming to us months after the wedding. The venue...gorgeous, historical, and memorable to everyone. The food...phenomenal. The setup, planning, and guidance...unbeatable. The service...unparalleled! The price, fantastic and surpassed in quality. No nickel-and-diming, no petty hidden charges as we saw with other 'big name' venues. Truly, this place focuses on the welfare and happiness of the bride and groom, while extending the best service in Nashville to their guests.

    My thanks to The Hermitage Hotel and most especially to Kimberly for making our wedding priceless, memorable and everything we could have ever imagined, and more! If you want the most memorable start to the rest of your life, Kimberly at The Hermitage Hotel (and her staff) is/are the one(s) to make it happen!

    I truly cannot say enough things about the hotel to convey how absolutely amazing and perfect our experience there was. When we first visited with Kimberly Gawthorpe there soon after getting engaged, we knew the Hermitage Hotel was our dream wedding reception and host hotel for the weekend.

    The service and quality provided at the hotel are unparalleled anywhere else you'll look in the city. Anything we wanted was available - they will make it happen for you. Kimberly was a complete dream to work with and has become a good friend by giving her personal touch to make sure I had the wedding I wanted. We never once felt "nickeled and dimed" and we felt we got the most of every penny spent. The food was delicious, as was the service at the reception. The bartenders and servers were professional, courteous, personable, and fast.

    Most of our wedding guests stayed at the hotel for the weekend and all of them could not have been happier. You won't have to worry about decor because the hotel is so classic and ornately beautiful - it's the perfect place for an elegant and classy reception.

    Kimberly and everyone else at the hotel were so accommodating to our every wish and made it all so easy. I would not change a thing, and not many brides can say that!

    I can't say enough wonderful things about The Hermitage Hotel. Kimberly Gawthorpe was outstanding to work with. We used the Veranda for my daughter's ceremony, the lobby for cocktail hour and the Grand Ballroom for the dinner. All are beautiful. The service was outstanding and the food was fabulous. I highly recommend this venue.

    The perfect venue with an amazing staff!

    After our engagement, the first thing my husband and I did was book a venue. Following our initial contact with The Hermitage, it was a no-brainer. The location is perfect, the hotel is stunning, and the staff is so friendly and accommodating. An added bonus - the hotel is 100% dog friendly, so both of our fur babies got to partake in the ceremony! Most notably, though, our venue coordinator, Janelle, was an absolute rockstar. She was constantly in touch throughout the planning process and did far more than was expected - she is the epitome of someone who goes "above and beyond."

    Though our experience with this venue was not without its hiccups - for example, we had a really difficult time with booking & reservations for ourselves and our guests - everything worked out in the end better than we could have imagined. Even considering these hiccups, the process as a whole went very smoothly and with minimal stress.

    A word to the wise though - while this venue can certainly be done on a budget, you have to be careful to track all expenses and have candid conversations with your coordinator at the outset about costs because they can add up quickly. Regardless, we wouldn't have changed a thing about our experience with The Hermitage and can't wait to return as guests.

    Beyond amazing.

    This venue is insane, and because we had a small guest list, we were able to afford to hold our ceremony and wedding here. Working with Janelle was a breeze -- she suggested getting married on a Sunday during a holiday weekend to make it affordable for us, and that's exactly what we did. Janelle met with us several times leading up to the wedding and was also super-responsive over email. She was totally cool about all my efforts to keep the budget reasonable, and she quickly accommodated requests we had for the bar and menu. She also took care of a million other little details on the day-of, like a last minute room for a guest and sending in our marriage certificate. The Hermitage Hotel is spectacular, and our photos in locations all around the hotel are stunning -- I am thrilled with them -- they look timeless. The Veranda is a magical space to host a ceremony and a reception, as we did. For banquet dining, the food was amazing. Everyone at the Hermitage provides wonderful and gracious service, but they're also down to earth and not stuffy. We had the time of our lives! For the incredible experience, I think it's a really good value.

    This was such a beautiful place for a wedding. Our ceremony was on the veranda and then a cocktail party reception followed in the lobby and ballroom. The staff was so helpful selecting the menu, which was a seven course, butler passed, heavy horderve dinner and an open bar. Our only issue was getting all of our rooms in time for the wedding party to get ready for pictures. My son and his family did not get a room until almost 5 and the wedding was at 6. That was a bit stressful! We managed and the rest of the event was great!

    WOW! What a wonderful place to hold a wedding reception! It's beautiful and our wedding consultant at The Hermitage is fantastic. Amy Alalouf is both a joy to work with and extremely professional. She took care of everything up to the last minute and detail. I can't say enough good things about her and The Hermitage. The food and service were awesome!!

    The staff at the Hermitage Hotel was amazing. Although there was a bit of a hiccup with the change in catering managers, once Things got settled with Lauren, everything ran smoothly. Everything was very detailed on the event orders and everything ran smoothly the day of. If I had any questions or isn't corrections needed to be made, there was no problem to do it. My guests loved the venue!

    We booked our rehearsal dinner with the Hermitage Hotel in their smaller space. They have three awesome spaces for small to large parties. The hotel was perfectly located by the rest of our vendors.

    We went through 3 event planners in 9 months so being on the same page was difficult sometimes with all the rearranging. We almost had to start from square one with every new staff change.

    Day of staff was great, accommodated the two babies with high chairs and two children with children's meals. Otherwise we had 29 adults in 3 round tables.

    Food was great, drinks were expensive i.e. $14 for Jack and $11 for Absolut. The venue is super luxurious, and I'd book again

    The overall experience was good. The venue is beautiful and the staff overall were great. The on-site wedding planner was disorganized. The hotel booked two weddings on the same day (which they are not equipped to handle). We were the second wedding booked. The first wedding was not using the ballroom and was only 12 people, so I assume the venue went ahead and booked our wedding because it meant additional revenue. They had nowhere for our wedding party to get ready and let us know a few days before the wedding. They blamed it on the fact that there were two weddings the same day and the previous wedding planner had quit and not properly taken care of accomodations. The previous wedding planner had quit within a month of our booking and all our interaction had been with new wedding planner and the manager for the several months leading up to our wedding. We had a difficult time getting a tasting scheduled in advance of invitations needing to be printed and mailed out with the dinner choices on the RSVP cards - which goes back to the disorganized planner and manager. The wait staff and catering manager were fantastic and our wedding overall was the most incredible day. All of our guests enjoyed! Just make sure you have a wedding planner wrangle the Hotel's planner and management, and don't leg them book your wedding as the second of the day - you may be treated like the second rate bridal party of the day.
