Amazing Venue and Staff

Everything about the Heitman House was an absolute dream. From the food, to the staff, planners, location, do not look elsewhere to have your wedding. I wish I could go back to my big day. Thank you to everyone with the Heitman who helped me along the way. You guys were amazing to work with!

heitman house

Our venue helped set us up for a great wedding day. We were looking for something to host our out town guests with a unique environment, the beautiful historic house and the views over the water were perfect! Unfortunately, hurricane Ian did some damage but the staff was very communicative and renovated quickly to host all the future brides, the house turned out even better than before! The staff were all so helpful the day of! The food was AMAZING and accommodating for special diets; the guests kept talking about the food for a few days.

Perfect venue

The heitman house is an amazing waterfront venue. The staff (especially wedding coordinator Jessica and Dj Juan) were alway available helping make sure both my husband and I were having the best day ever!! I love how the heitman house has a “package price” with the valet, Dj and catering included. All the guest could not stop complementing not only the venue but also how delicious the food was! Both bridal parties have their own suites to get ready at on wedding day, which was super helpful. I am so grateful to of been able to have our wedding at the heitman house especially after hurricane Ian. The team worked very fast with repairs. Definitely book your wedding with the heitman house! You will not regret

Best Venue in Fort Myers!

Our journey with The Heitman House was a wild ride. We booked in January of 2022 for our 12.3.22 wedding. We attended our tasting in May and loved every bite of the food. When Hurricane Ian devastated Fort Myers, the venue had major damage. Jeremy and his team worked day and night non stop for months to rebuild this beautiful historic home so that we could continue planning our wedding there. When the day finally arrived you would have never known there was any damage. The bridal suite is the most luxurious space I’ve ever seen for a bride. Every single one of my guests told me how fabulous the venue was and how much they loved the historic home - but the food was something that is still being talked about! Guests even took to-go boxes home! I will forever be grateful for the staff at the Heitman House for hosting our dream event!

Best in the business

The amount of effort that went into our wedding is unprecedented. A misfortunate and devastating hurricane tore Fort Myers apart just 18 days before our destination wedding. It wasn't even supposed to happen at this venue, it was supposed to happen across the street. That venue, unfortunately was pretty beat up after the storm. They assured us it would be everything we wanted and the show could go on but instead at the Alderman House, though it didn't make it unscathed either. Unbelievable! We are so grateful for the effort that went into our wedding. The venue was amazing. Shout out to Jessica, she was the best wedding coordinator! She had no preparation and neither did we. She made sure everything went smooth and the day was incredible.
This venue exceeded our expectations, the food was awesome the DJ knew how to work the people on the dance floor.
You want to do business with these people they are all in!

Beautiful Venue!

The Heitman house is a venue we had attended a few weddings at prior to our engagement. We toured the venue with Jeremy (the owner) and decided that day that we could really picture ourselves getting married here!

We postponed our wedding due to the pandemic from January 2021 to January 2022 and they helped accommodate us flawlessly. We got married at the courthouse on our original date and The Heitman House team allowed us and our parents to come to the venue for a mini photoshoot at our empty venue which made the day so special. Once we finally had our wedding celebration is more beautiful than I ever imagined. Although it ended up being the coldest day in Fort Myers in the last 10 years, the team was able to get lots of heaters to help keep our guests warm at the last minute!

We highly recommend Heitman House for all of your wedding needs!! They have a great list of preferred vendors that were all just as amazing!

Simply beautiful

The Heitman House was a dream wedding venue. Our guests raved all night long at how elegant and beautiful the Heitman House was! The venue went above and beyond our expectations, and it was absolutely stunning seeing it with all the finishing touches and brought to life. Cece & Jeremy are both so wonderful to work with. Cece was amazing start to finish in helping me plan and execute my dream day, and was incredible day-of ensuring all was good to go! I couldn't say enough amazing things about the Heitman House - thank you all for making my dreams come true!!!

The best venue in the area

Would HIGHLY recommend this venue without any reservation!! Jeremy and Cece were absolutely instrumental in making our wedding the best day ever. Despite the promise of rain, they made sure that the entire day went off without any issues even moving all of the chairs inside…. And then outside again once the rain had passed. They kept us informed every step of the way, and made sure that all of the things that we’re important to us happened.

Our dream venue!!

The Heitman House was the first put of 3 venues we visited & we just knew it was the perfect one! It had that nature-y vibe I loved & the water front component that my husband loved! The vintage vibes inside that historic house were so pretty & the accommodations incredible! My bridesmaids & I were able to stay the night before & it was a weight off my shoulders! We were all there together and ready at 9am to start getting ready for the big day. The groom & the groomsmen had a place to get ready on property too and it was just perfect we were all there “together”. Cece was great, she was very professional & organized and followed every single one of my requests. She took care of everything the day of & it went perfect! The Heitman House provided me a list of vendors they’ve worked with & I ended up hiring a couple of them and they were amazing too! If you’re indecisive, book a tour & you’ll see what I’m talking about!

Ps. The food they served was exquisite! Our guests had nothing but good compliments on it!

Magical, special and memorable!

The Heitman House was absolutely wonderful! We enjoyed every minute of our special day! The wedding coordinator CeCe was fabulous! She was so good at her job and made me feel at ease! Jeremy the owner was so awesome! He answered every question I had with responsivness and polietness. We were treated so wonderfully by the staff! Dennis the chef made fantastic food! We had a pasta bar and it was delicious! I am so grateful my parents provided for me to enjoy my wedding day at the best venue in town. I am still beaming with joy reminiscing on the day and every special moment that was created! I did not feel stressed that day, now leading up to it was a differant story lol. Seriously though this team is awesome and I would HIGHLY recommend using The Heitman House for your special day too!

The Best!!

I’ll begin with, if you’re in search of a wedding venue, look no further! The Heitman House made all of our wedding dreams come true and then some! Not only is the property absolutely stunning all on its own, but the owner and staff played such a MASSIVE role in what made our day better than we could have ever imagined! Plus, they were so easy to work with, timely responses, and beyond knowledgeable, which made the wedding planning A LOT less stressful! And if your someone who likes to make sure your money is going to a business that is run by genuinely good and hard working people- The Heitman is it!!
My now husband and I were set to get married on May 24, 2020. Then... Covid. We were in the midst of trying to figure out what the best decision would be for us, our family and friends, as this was set to be a destination wedding. We had been hearing all of the nightmares other brides were going through during this time with venues and vendors not willing to work with them, offering no other options or refunds. Stressed was an understatement. I would like to give a huge shout out to the owner, Jeremy. Jeremy took the time to not only keep us informed with the latest restrictions, Covid cases, etc., but also made time to give my husband and I his full attention to talk out how we were feeling about everything. What seemed to us like such a hard decision pondering all the “what if’s”, to postpone or keep as planned, Jeremy made so simple. It became clear that May 24th was just a day and what was important was having our loved ones around and safe. Jeremy did not make us feel pressured to keep the wedding in May or guilty about contemplating postponing the wedding. Even thought this was his business and livelihood also being caught in a whirlwind, he truly made us feel like he put our special day first and we were going to figure it out together. Jeremy took such a huge load of stress off of our shoulders and we cannot thank him enough for just simply understanding and doing whatever he could to make sure we still had a perfect day! And perfect it was!!!
Our wedding day coordinator was Cece and she was AMAZING!! She manages people well and also helped with some last minute decor/set up ideas!
I hate to admit that when we were planning, the food didn’t much matter to me because I thought “no one ever really talks about the food...” Thankfully, my husband took charge of what we chose for appetizers and dinner, and THE PEOPLE TALKED!! We still have people tell us how amazing the steak was! And they didn’t just talk about the entrées, but the appetizers were also incredible!

Again, we cannot thank the Heitman House enough for making all of our wedding day dreams come true. The Heitman House and the staff will always hold a special place in our hearts. Cheers to you all!

This wedding venue and team is the best, hands down.

We had originally planned a destination wedding and was cancelled due to covid. This was apparently the best thing that could have happned to us.
A week after we cancelled we found the Heitman house. This venue is not only historic and beautiful, but from start to finish you get the best wedding experience you could ever ask for. Jeremy, Cici, and Lexi have really gone out of their way to throw dream wedding. We would do it again it was that great. They were flexible with our needs, they had fun ideas for us to add to the wedding, and they really take care of a lot of the event in house; ceremony setup, food, reception setup, scheduling and detailing, they can do it all.
We recommend going to one of their events and meetings all the vendors, we had help from everyone we met there. Limilu photography captured great shots. Lhegend officiated a great wedding ceremony. Juan Gomez was the best dj, not only did he play great music, but helped with getting my wife and I drinks, food, and any song we requested. Something Bloomed floral is better than the photos, send them ideas and they will get it done. The food is all good, get the skirt steak and tortellini, you will not regret it.
Overall we want to thank Jeremy and Lexi for working so hard to help us get everything done. This is something they really take a lot of pride in, and you will not regret it having your wedding with them.

The Greatest Venue on Earth

Ahh, I hate that I’m writing this more than a year after our wedding but even after a year, our feelings about this place still stand true. Jeremy and his team are the most genuine and passionate people ever. I never had a problem with communication, special requests or solving a crisis (it rained on our wedding day). When we first started our hunt, the Heitman house was our first destination out of 3 that day. We attended the second one and weren’t impressed and cancelled the 3rd because we both had our hearts set in The Heitman House. Jeremy, Cece and The Heitman House truly set the bar too high for any other place to reach. I still to this day recommend this venue to anyone who is getting married and I’m so grateful for this experience we had there. If you and your future hubby are down to this venue and one other, pick The Heitman House, you will not be disappointed.

A great venue!

Jeremy, Lexi, and Cece were all so helpful in making my big day absolutely perfect. Lexi in particular was so easy to get along with and worked so hard to make my wedding day flow smoothly. It was really difficult planning my wedding from 2000 miles away but they made it better than I could have ever imagined!! Will definitely recommend them to anybody looking to get married in Fort Myers!

My dream Pinterest wedding

Let me start with this... I found this venue on Pinterest 6 years ago & I knew me and my then boyfriend would get married here. Sure enough when we got engaged in 2020, this is the first and only venue we toured. The owner, Jeremy is amazing and so so helpful and makes sense Because his two right hand Wo(men) are kick ass as well!!! We love Cece & Lexi... they dealt with me for 22 months!!! And never once made
Me feel like my questions/ concerns/ craziness was unwanted. They all made the whole experience... 688 days of it ... MAGIC. NOW the DAY OF THE WEDDING was like a dream... absolutely perfect .. from my point of view not a single thing went wrong!!! Lexi made sure I had the best day... no stress and was always dancing and enjoying myself.
Allllll my guests loved not only the venue, but the employees as well... on their way out at the end of the line you would think they all knew Lexi her whole life. She truly was one with the family!
I truly wish some nights never ended!

Jeremy, Cece, Lexi you haven’t seen the last of me... Hey who knows... maybe a baby shower will be held there in the figure ;)

Best venue in SWFL

The Heitman House is hands down one of the best event venues in Fort Myers. It was important for my husband & I to have an inclusive venue where we didn’t have to coordinate with a ton of other vendors. Jeremy, Cece, Lexi and staff are amazing. They go above and beyond to accommodate all of their brides wishes. They go out of their way to ensure the day is exactly as planned. Two weeks later my guests still talk about how smooth everything went & it was one of the most beautiful weddings they’ve attended! In particular, guests have said the food was the best wedding food they’ve had & the DJ was so much fun! Thank you Heitman staff for making my wedding weekend better than I could imagine. Will continue to highly recommend to friends & family!

Gorgeous Venue

We had our wedding at the Heitman House and it was great! Jeremy, Cece, and Lexi were all wonderful in ensuring our day was how we envisioned it. The venue itself is gorgeous, with many white lights hanging over the patio, and the porch was recently expanded, thus making it a HUGE area for guests to mingle. Gorgeous sunset views and waterfront. The food was very good, especially the skirt steak (upcharge, but worth it!). Our guests raved about the gorgeous location and the good food. They also are very well connected with other photographers, DJs, etc., so they were able to recommend all wonderful vendors who were very familiar with the Heitman House and did a phenomenal job as well.

Amazing!!!

Jeremy, CeCe, Lexi and staff are all absolutely amazing! Our wedding was absolutely perfect and above and beyond what we ever imagined it could be. They were so great even through changes due to COVID, guest list changes, etc. The food was DELICIOUS. And we even got to eat a full meal at our own wedding thanks to their staff! Beautiful vendor

This place was so perfect for our small wedding. The house is beautiful and getting married right on the water was gorgeous. Our wedding was a destination wedding on a Monday so cheaper than on the weekend so made it very affordable. We did not hire a DJ so just played music from our phone on their speaker which worked great. The speaker was on the porch and could hear music all the way to waterfront.

Most perfect beautiful wedding!!

We can’t brag enough about the Heitman house !! From the moment we stepped into the house and met Jeremy we knew this is hands down where we were going to get married ! The venue itself is so incredibly beautiful and on the water . They truly have it all figured out at this venue and they think of everything. They’re so easy to work with and they mad everything so easy . From our food tasting that was an event put on by the venue and invited all of the brides and Grooms to taste all the food was epic ! It felt like we were at a wedding and it was a glimpse of what our wedding Would be like . My bridesmaids and I had the whole house to get ready in with lots of rooms
And good lighting for hair and make up and getting dressed . My husband and all of his grooms men had a separate house to spend the day in with a full kitchen and bedroom and hangout room to be comfortable before the wedding . Their customers service is outstanding! Everyone that works there is so kind and helpful and professional! The food was amazing and the skirt steak was a HUGE HIT! People won’t stop talking about that steak. Cece was so incredible with handling everything and making sure everything was going smoothly and perfect .
They worked with us on so many things and they’re such understanding people. Getting married at the Heitman house was a dream come true ! Everything was first class and everything turned out better than I could have ever imagined! Thank you for everything you guys did for us ! Our wedding day was magical !

100% Perfect Wedding Day

Jeremy, Cece and their team were absolutely amazing from start to finish! My wedding was 1920s/Prohibition/Speakeasy themed and they did such a great job with the decor and really creating a speakeasy atmosphere. The food was fantastic, the bartenders were friendly and quick. Overall my wedding was truly a dream. The Heitman is the PERFECT venue.

They deserve 10000 stars! Jeremy, Cece and the team are incredible! My wedding was perfection from start to finish! I wouldn’t change a thing! My guests had an amazing time and are still talking about the delicious FOOD! I loved that they offer so much unlike other venues who nickel and dime you for everything!! They even included a DJ who was amazing! At the heitman house you aren’t just another bride and groom! They treat you like family and make your day perfect! I want to redo my wedding everyday! Jeremy and Cece are phenomenal they are so easy to get along with, they are responsive and are very dedicated to making your day perfect. They try their absolute best to relieve you and your family of all the little stressors which was amazing. The venue is absolutely spectacular and the food was delicious. This group was amazing and we are so lucky to have chosen them and this beautiful venue for our special day!! 🍀💍🥂🏝

Amazing!!!

I am a photographer and I shot my first wedding at the Heitman House this past weekend and it was HANDS DOWN amazing! Jeremy was there the entire time as support for the event and couple to make sure everything ran smoothly and that speaks volumes! The whole team there was amazing and the venue is so taken care of!! If you haven’t yet, book this venue for your wedding!!!

Heitman House Review

From the minute we walked into the backyard of The Heitman House we knew it was the venue for us! There is something about the twinkle lights on the water that just takes your breath away! Ever since the start of our wedding, working with Jeremy and Cece was incredible! They are easy to get a hold of, extremely helpful and professional. They really pay attention to each couple and make their day as personal as they are. They make you feel like you are part of the Heitman Family every step of the way!

Leading up to the wedding I had some ideas of details we wanted, but not a clear vision. All I had to do was share a thought with Cece and shortly she gave different ideas to make that thought a reality!

The week of the wedding, we got reports of rain and we were nervous that a lot of what we planned was going to be lost. Jeremy and Cece took the time to walk us through every detail and ensure that our day would be perfect! We left we complete ease about everything! A few days later we found out that we could not get tents and had to push back the wedding. We did not have a single worry or concern because we knew that they had everything taken care of!

Our wedding day was perfect! From early morning start to late end, the whole staff paid attention to every little detail and did everything to make our day special. I did not have to worry about a thing! Throughout the night the Cece and Jeremy were there to help with any and everything. We loved everything about our wedding and so did our guests! It is truly a magical place to get married and we are so happy we did!

We choose to stay in the back house the night of our wedding and are glad we did! Jeremy gave us the advice to just go to the end of the dock sit and take it all in. At the end of the night, we did. We got to look back at the gorgeous house and take in everything as Husband and Wife. Waking up there in the morning was breathe taking as we looked right out onto the water. It was the cherry on top!

We highly recommend The Heitman House to anyone who is looking for a venue! It will be one of the best experiences you will ever have!

Also, the food is AMAZING! Our guests were raving about the steak days after!

The perfect venue

We would like to thank Jeremy, Cece, and the rest of the incredible staff at the Heitman House for making our dream wedding day come true. When spent a lot of time searching for a venue in SWFL as there are plenty of options. We ended up choosing them for many reasons but most importantly we loved the family feel of the staff as well as the flexibility they gave us in creating our perfect day. In addition to that, the in-house catering and DJ made our planning that much easier so we could focus on all of the other details. We had a vision for our day and the staff at the Heitman House made it all happen and then some! Our guests were raving about the beautiful venue, and all of the little details that make this home so unique. Thank you again to the Heitman House for making our wedding the best day of our lives.

Absolutely Wonderful

Once I booked with The Heitman House over a year before my wedding I felt relaxed because they include almost everything you need for a wedding. Jeremy was wonderful from the beginning phone call and Cece was wonderful to work with once she came into the picture. The DJ included (Juan) was also great to work with! In addition, working with Something Borrowed and Something Bloomed made our wedding even more easier. The food was also so good!! I did not go hungry that night. :) My guest are still talking about everything and how great everything was. Our wedding was everything I could have dreamed of at The Heitman House.

Incredible

Working with Jeremy felt just like we were planning our wedding with a friend. He explained everything really well and genuinely had our best interest in mind and worked with us to make sure we were able to get what we needed. I can't even begin to explain HOW incredible it is to have so many vendors in one. Saves so much time and stress.

Such a dream

Thank you so much Jeremy Zielinski and to all the staff at the Heitman House! From the start of when we first looked at the venue, the staff was so friendly, flexible, and genuine. The process of planning was smooth and organized. The staff gave us so much freedom to come to venue multiple times before our day, answered all our questions and concerns promptly and with great care and kindness, and let us come in the day before to decorate. The venue was stress free with being all included with the venue, catering, event day planner, and DJ. They even had resources/contacts for things they did not provide in their package. Even on the day of, the staff was so flexible to the unexpected (like the weather) and made things happen so quickly. Love is not selfish, it is patient and kind. Sean and I feel blessed to have had so much kindness radiating around us on our special day, making the day so much more memorable! When I was a little girl, I always dreamt of being married in an old house and having my reception in the backyard with close friends and family. As the bride, I felt so spoiled and as if I was living in another time in the past. I got my dream with the Heitman House

Amazing beautiful experience!

We had an amazing experience having our fundraising event at The Heitman House. Jeremy and Cece were so wonderful work with. The food was excellent and abundant and the service was impeccable as well. This was the first time we had our event at a place and we were so glad that we did. Everything was taken care of and we just basically had to show up. It was such a magical evening that we were told that it was the best event that our organization has ever had! Everyone loved it so much we booked it for next year! I highly recommend booking your event at The Heitman House!

The best choice

After viewing several places trying to find the one that was just right, we came across the Heitman house. It was a little far, being that we live in Bradenton, but it was the best decision we made. Every time something popped up, Cece and Jeremy took care of it. They were so helpful and kind you couldn't ask for anything better. They take care of everything from setting up the tables/chairs to cleaning up all of our decorations afterward. They even let us have our dogs be apart of our ceremony. Plus the food taste amazing, no matter what you choose. The Heitman house was by far the best choice we made for our wedding. We wouldn’t change a thing.

Beautiful place to get married

The Historic house is beautiful inside and out and getting married by the river and then eating and dancing outside under the stars and the twinkle lights! Just amazing! By far the best experience I could have asked for!! Not only was I extremely pleased, but all of my guest loved the atmosphere, food, & all the workers. Would highly recommend this venue to anyone!! Amazing experience!

My husband and I were vendors at this venue and I remember saying to the owner Jeremy “ if we ever get married , this is my location hands down” and I stuck to my word . On 4/7/19 we had the most beautiful wedding at the Heitman house . From the minute me and my bridal party arrived ,to the moment we left, every single person from Cece to Jeremy to Larry the chef were so amazing ! My guests were blown away by the food , although I only had a few bites my guests til this day are still raving about how delicious everything was. I think the firecracker shrimp was a TOTAL hit :-)
I recommend this venue hands down to any bride and groom looking for a personable venue . You’ll definitely feel like family . Thank you Heitman for everything you did to make this day nothing less than amazing for Angel and I.

Most beautiful venue!

THE BEST VENUE YOU COULD EVER BOOK!! My experience getting married here was everything I dreamed of. Jeremy and the day of Coordinator, Cici, were nothing short of amazing people to work with. So laid back, kept me relaxed and helped me SO much leading up to the day of and of course, the big day itself. Cici was the most amazing help with decorations and helped set up to make our day look absolutely perfect. Jeremy the owner even cooked some of the food for us and our guests, SUCH GOOD PEOPLE. All 70 of my guests complimented me on how unique and beautiful the venue was. If you don’t get married here, you are most definitely missing out.

Our big day was incredible!

The Heitman house was the absolute perfect wedding venue. Our day couldn’t have been more stunning and perfect. Jeremy and his team made the process seamless. He was easy to get ahold of and made the whole process simple.

The food at the Heitman house was absolutely delicious. Many guests mentioned to us after the wedding how much they enjoyed their meal. The bar staff was flawless as well.

We had roughly 150 guests at our wedding and there was PLENTY of space for all of them. The layout was perfect.

We would recommend the Heitman house a million times over. Thank you Jeremy for EVERYTHING!

The Heitman House made our wedding. This venue is just perfect. The views of the water, the greenery and palms that surround this beautiful historical house, and the string lights throughout makes for the most perfect ambiance. The owner Jeremy is amazing. He truly cares about each couple that walks into that house, and will do everything in his power to make the experience and wedding day a great one. He is so involved and enjoys to be, which made all the different to both my husband and I. All of the staff was great and the house is always taken care of and beautiful inside and out. You truly cannot go wrong with this venue. Our guests are still raving about it almost a month later. I would HIGHLY recommend The Heitman House for your special day!

Twinkle light delight

Perfect setting for outdoor wedding on the water without the sand. The people were amazing, food delicious, and atmosphere was perfect. If you love twinkle lights at night. This is the place for you!

My daughter‘s wedding was absolutely beautiful the Heitman House and their staff took a fantastic care of us I would highly recommend this venue!

The Heitman House is a beautiful location on the river and our daughter and son-in-law had a beautiful wedding. The lights at night are fantastic the food was delicious the wedding coordinator was very helpful and the owner Jeremy of the Heitman House was very accommodating. P e r f e c t!

Perfect location! I got married Nov 9 2018 and love love loved The Heitman House. I can’t count how many times I texted Jeremy with questions 2-3 weeks out from the big day and he always responded promptly. Great food & great service. All of my guests told my husband an I how much FUN they had. I wish I could live that day over and over.

Also, Cici is an awesome coordinator that comes with the venue. 15 minutes before I was supposed to walk down the aisle, we realized two bridesmaids bouquets were missing. She was so quick to find a solution!! (We mixed the real flowers from bouquets with fake flowers). Nobody could tell there was even a hiccup.

The best experience

From the minute I walked into this place I knew it was “the one!” Jeremy was extremely welcoming and friendly. He was to the point and clear on exactly what we should expect in terms of charges, etc. Anytime I had any questions at all he was very prompt and thorough in his responses. Cece later came in to our plans and she was also very thorough and helpful. On our wedding day she was the best in making sure all of my wants and needs were met. If I had the time and money I would get married over and over again specifically at this place with the help of these people! Food, planning, and everything else was above a 5-star.

Highly recommended backyard/river wedding

We chose the Heitman House to host our wedding for the intimate, laid back vibe and backyard setting. All our guests fell in love with the venue. We were able to decorate however we wanted and give the house/yard our personal touch which made it that much more special. The food was catered by the venue and it was delicious!
There was plenty room for lawn games, a bar, the ceremony and reception all in one place. Our sunset pictures on the dock came out beautiful. If your looking for a classy backyard wedding venue in Fort Myers on the river, this is the place.

Dream Team Venue

I cannot say enough about Cece and Jeremy! They handled everything. I didn't have to raise a finger day of and they had everything handled. They helped me create the most beautiful day I could have imagined. We even had a mishap with the cake and Jeremy fixed it! Totally elevated my expectations for my daughters wedding!

Jeremy and CeCe totally blew me away with their professional style and their can do spirit ! The night was magical from beginning to end! The venue was beautiful and the food was outstanding! Never have I tasted such wonderful skirt steak and perfectly cooked asparagus ! You just don’t get this attention to detail at a large hotel venue! We had a no show with hair and makeup people and within one hour Jeremy and CeCe had 7 artist making us beautiful! We weren’t even a minute late for pictures!!! Amazing Venue and People

We began working with Jeremy from the Heitman House and immediately knew that it was the place we wanted to be married. He and his team do an outstanding job of helping define the vision for the bride. The venue has to be one of the prettiest I have ever seen as well. From the first meeting to the execution of the event the Heitman House team makes sure that attention to detail, communication, and guest experience is maximized. Breathtakingly Perfect

There aren't enough words to express how beautiful this venue is or how amazing the staff is. Jeremy helped us through the whole process and CeCe the wedding coordinator was a lifesaver. Above and beyond amazing! Jeremy and Cece did such an amazing job with my wedding. They made sure everything was 100% stress free and ran so smoothly. The entire property is mind blowing from the very large bridal suite that has so much natural light your photographs will be the bomb! Valet parking, huge open outdoor which easily doubles as your ceremony & reception site. They helped with every question (I had a zillion of them) and even pointed out things I forgot! I have high expectations and standards and they just made it literally 100% perfect to where I’m still amazed that there was not 1 single moment that Wasn’t a breeze. Love love love them!!!!

Jeremy, who manages the house, had been amazing. He has been very helpful with all of our questions. The house looks great and is versatile enough for us to give it our own look.

Where do I begin? The Heitman House was everything my husband and I could have ever imagined. From the moment we stepped foot into the venue, we knew that that was where we wanted our special day to take place. To make a long story short, we had about 2 months to plan our wedding which had almost doubled in size from our original plans...and I did not feel stressed ONE BIT. Jeremy who owns the business greatly exceeded all of our expectations. He worked with us through everything, and there was not a single second that I had any doubt in my mind that something was not going to work out. Come wedding day, he was always there to make sure everything was taken care of. Even guests had come up to me and mentioned how hard of a worker he was and how he made sure they had everything they needed. The staff was wonderful, and the chef and his crew did an amazing job. I could not be anymore thankful for the way things turned out! Thank you, thank you, thank you! We highly recommend this venue to anyone searching.

I have been at this venue as a guest and as a hostess and the experience is always amazing! Such friendly and helpful staff making your event go off with out a hitch! We planned the shower for outdoors on the beautiful lawn but since we are in Florida weather is always a potential issue and this had me concerned. But after sharing my concerns with Jeremy he came up with great alternatives that could be accommodated on short notice if the weather became an issue. The entire experience from planning to execution was seemless and beautiful! I would recommend this location for any of your wedding or shower needs!

The Heitman House was the first and only venue we visited! We didn’t need to tour anywhere else. Jim and I immediately connected with Jeremy and loved the Heitman House, surrounding property, and staff. I can still remember how breathless I felt when I first saw the wrap around porch, beautiful twinkling lights, and seemingly endless dock. I knew this was where my Dad would walk me down the aisle and where our family and friends would dance the night away.

We cannot say enough about the service we received from Jeremy and his staff. From the moment we toured the property, we knew The Heitman House was where we were supposed to be married. My goal for our wedding was a Florida-inspired, romantic date night for each and every guest. I am not exaggerating when I say we are still getting extraordinary compliments about our wedding - the beauty of the venue, the quality of the tables/chairs/linens, and of course the food! The Chef was so passionate and personable with us and our families. Jeremy was responsive, supportive, and helpful throughout the entire wedding planning process and our wedding day. He made everything straight forward, fun, and simple.

My only wish is that we could relive the entire night - we literally cannot think of one second we’d want to change. I couldn’t be more pleased with how our big day turned out. If you’re looking for high quality service, a beautiful waterfront venue, delicious food, and a night your guests will rave about...look no further! Thank you to everyone at the Heitman House for everything you said and did to make our dreams come true.

I highly recommend this beautiful venue. Jeremy and his team are so much fun, responsive, and professional. They made out special day smooth! The details, work and help that Audra attended to was amazing. She was so helpful, sweet and fun! My family and friends truly enjoyed themselves and I still hear about how beautiful the venue was and how much fun and awesome the staff were. Were a fun bunch and we truly enjoyed our day there. The whole Heitman House Team was amazing! The food was amazing and they were very knowledgeable about what to do because it was my first wedding. I felt very comfortable. The night went by so fast yet so slow! They helped make it magical! Even the decorating - I thought if I didn't have a hand in it, it wouldn't look right. By far the best place in SW Florida to get married. Jermey and his crew take care of everything and are very flexible. Everyone that attended our wedding agreed it was the best one they had been to! With the landscaping, the river, the bistro lighting and the beautiful home in the background you need minimal decorations/flowers/ what ever crap you think you need for a wedding. It’s beautiful all on its own. I plan on having my baby showers, and really any special event in the future at the Heitman house!

When it comes to planning holidays and events I am always the one to stress out because I want everything to feel and look perfect, so when it was time to plan my wedding my biggest fear was booking with the wrong vendors. My wedding was the best day ever and I have to give most of my thanks to Jeremy ( owner of the Hietman House) he really took the time to go over exactly was I was looking for in a venue and he fit everything into my budget . I know for a fact I wouldn’t have received the customer service I did with him at any other venue . The day of my wedding Jeremy and his Team allowed us to get ready as they set up the whole ceremony and reception area, they decorated my cake table and met with my other vendors as they started to arrive. Not one time did I have to leave the upstairs suite where I was getting ready . By the time the wedding was about to start my guest were there and everything looked perfect ! I was happy from the time I got to the Hietman house at 10am til the time the DJ played his last song at 9:30 Pm. It was truly the best day ever because I picked the Perfect Venue . I would recommend this Venue to everyone and anyone .

A bridesmaid said, "I feel like Sandra Bullock and Matthew McConaughey are going to walk into this wedding at any minute" - because the venue looked and felt like something out of a movie. Multiple people told us it was the best wedding they'd ever been to, in part because of the amazing food and outstanding service. One of our guests asked us who the caterer was, because she was ready to drive - from an hour away - just to have lunch, and was disappointed to learn that the food was exclusive to the Heitman House. Chef Larry's brilliance was appreciated by both our picky eaters AND foodies, and he improved on our custom menu item request. I met many venue coordinators during our search, and Jeremy was one of the most professional, endlessly helpful, always smiling, and he should get more than five stars on flexibility. The Heitman House will always have a special place in our hearts!

The Heitman House was the perfect wedding venue for us. We quickly fell in love with the historic charm and the water views. Overall the Heitman House was a GREAT venue! Jeremy was amazing with helping us plan the wedding. The staff was very professional, nice and caring. Whenever we had a question, Jeremy would get in touch with us ASAP. We did end up having to rent a tent to put over the back yard since it was going to rain all day. Jeremy was awesome and got us a tent right away and handled everything with putting it up. The staff was great and work around all the little problems we had that day. Oh and the house itself was beautiful. No complaints, would highly recommend.

The Heitman House is such a pretty venue all on its own. I love the simplicity of it, but it is yet full of so much beauty. On top of that the owners Larry and Jermeny were amazing people to work with! (My wedding was in between one owner to another) Super understanding and tried their hardest to accommodate! The food is the biggest thing I hear people non-stop rave about!!! It did rain on our wedding day at the beginning and it still was the time of our lives! There were a few delays due to this, but it still all worked out beautifully and they let us extend our wedding night!
Valet is included, you get the choice of bringing your own liquor or they can provide, and you have the whole day to get ready there! They were so flexible with this and that was huge to me! Thank you for everything and for making our wedding very special!

Can't even find the words to say how amazing Jeremy, Audra and Larry are. Jeremy was incredibly helpful throughout the final months leading up to our wedding and was always available to talk. The entire day was perfect and Audra kept everything on time and running flawlessly. And the FOOD. Larry is an incredible chef and our guests are still talking about how great dinner was. The house itself is charming and a unique venue- our guests could not get over how beautiful the evening was. During the day the grounds are beautiful, but at night it turned into the fairytale wedding we had dreamed of.

Literally perfect in every way. I do not have one single complaint. The owners are available, understanding, welcoming, and most of calm. The energy surrounding my wedding was incredible. This venue has it all: amazing waterfront views, incredible food, top of the line staff, huge upstairs for the bridal party to get ready, openness & flexibility, and LOVE! My daughter's wedding took place at the Heitman House in the end of April 2017. We had a wonderful time. Staff was responsive, food was great. Family and friends came in from around the country and all praised the wedding and reception experience. This is the kind of place where you leave after giving hugs to the staff.
I planned to write a review right after, but life happens......Now, after Hurricane Irma I find myself thinking about the Heitman House, it's staff and its beautiful location, and it occurs to me that I should write a review and also send good wishes to all the Heitman House folks that they are all well and their business of making magical weddings goes unhampered after Irma.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about The Heitman House. Kelly and Jeremy took over about 6 months before our big day and the transition was seamless. They were incredibly helpful and professional. Larry did a fantastic job with our food. Everyone still raves about how perfect the venue was and how delicious the food was. We even had an issue with one of our vendors and Jeremy got right on the job to help us find someone else when we were only 2 weeks away. We don't have a single complaint. Thank you so much for being responsible for our dream wedding. We cannot thank you enough. We look forward to spending our anniversary having a romantic dinner out on the dock.

The Heitman House is the most beautiful gem in Fort Myers. I got married here on May 6 and it was absolutely perfect. Chef Larry's food is amazing, my family is still talking about it. Chef Larry made me feel like a VIP, and I am forever grateful to him. Jeremy has come on board and he was like a wedding savior sent to help me! I couldn't have made it to my wedding day as cool as a cucumber without their help.

I had the wedding of my dreams to the man I've loved since I was 12, and it was a fairytale dream come true. The venue is beautiful, the staff is amazing and I couldn't be happier. If I had dreamed up the perfect wedding venue, this would be it.

I highly recommend booking a wedding or party with them. Thank you to everyone at The Heitman House who helped make my dreams come true. I am eternally grateful to you.

We fell in love with The Heitman House the first moment we went to visit. It is such a charming, quaint, and intimate location for a wedding and reception. Many of the guests, especially those from out of state, appreciated the view and the unique location. My husband and I got married on February 27, 2016 at the Heitman House! When we first visited the place we absolutely fell in love with it! The house is very well kept and clean! And the view looking out towards the water is absolutely amazing! this beautiful home we were able to make ours for the day. Larry and Audra where spectacular people to work with! They did everything in there power to make our day the best it could be and they succeeded! The food by Chef Larry was absolutely phenomenal! My daughter and son-in-laws wedding was March 26. All I can say is amazing. Audra was an amazing help the entire time. The set up crew was spot on and made the whole venue beautiful. The wait staff and bartender kept everything flowing smoothly. The food, we went with a southern theme and Larry was so accomadating in helping us create a fabulous menu. We got married on 2/20/16. The perfect wedding is every bride’s dream, and the Heitman House chef and staff made it happen! Gorgeous, perfect, beautiful, and amazing were all words used by our guests to describe our wedding. Audra, the wedding coordinator, was simply amazing. She was there to smooth over any issues big or small. Audra was always quick to respond to emails and answer any questions leading up to and during the event. Michael, who also works on site, helped us when we were dropping off and picking up wedding decorations and was always extremely professional and kind. As if an amazing support staff wasn’t enough, we had Owner/Chef Larry to make sure the guests had the best wedding food that most people had ever tasted. I don’t say this lightly. It was better than food we had served to us at weddings we attended at the exclusive Cloister at Sea Island, Marriot, Marco Island, or Naples Beach club, to name a few. Several guests went back to the stations multiple times, and he made sure everyone got as much food as they wanted. The portions were also quite generous. We got nothing but compliments on the food and how beautiful the venue was. Since the wedding we have been thinking of other events we could possibly have at the Heitman House! Now, I am counting down the days until the Chef’s new venture, Flat Top Larry’s opens, if it’s anything like his wedding fare it will be SPECTACULAR!

Our wedding at the Heitman House was fantastic! First, the actual venue is so beautiful and intimate. The views on the river, the landscaping, the lighting and the uniqueness of the home were all things that our guests commented very positively on. Second, working with Larry and Audra was fantastic. At first, I was a little worried as our event coordinator changed two weeks before our event, however Audra stepped in and helped Larry in executing our event flawlessly. The food prepared by Larry and his team was the best food we had ever had at a wedding. It had such great flavors as was the perfect temperature when it came to our table. So many of our guests commented on the fact that they were extremely impressed with the food. Larry & team were a huge part in making our wedding perfect!

We had our destination wedding there with most of our guests coming from Chicago. I loved the unique house and yard and wanted to stay far away from the typical banquet hall. It was easy to feel at home with out families there and we really lucked out with the weather. Larry was very nice and responded to requests we had for the event. Everyone raved about the food and the yard was lovely. The wedding was gorgeous and even though it rained there was a large wrap around porch and everyone continued the party there. I was not happy with the day of coordinator but she is no longer there.

After endless venue searching, we had made a decision to go with a historic/vintage looking home, and the Heitman House was "the one" as soon as we visited the site. Shannon and Larry gave us complete confidence that we had indeed found our wedding venue. What we loved most about the venue was that Larry (the owner of the property) was the one who would be creating the menu and executing the flawless meal. If you want fresh/delicious/home cooked/personalized food- Larry will make anyone leave the food tasting with a smile on their face. If you enjoy a good meal, a beautiful venue, and an organized/responsive venue coordinator then this is your venue.

The venue included quite a few things that checked off extra boxes on my to-do-list. The chair and table rentals, linens, place settings, serving staff, bar keepers, and catering was all included with the price of the venue, which relieved a lot of stress of having to find those extra vendors. Shannon will take charge on the day of the wedding and insure that everything is executed in your desired timeline. She will go above and beyond to coordinate the setup of your vendors, so you don't have to stress about it while you get ready for the big day.

PS: We also held our rehearsal dinner at the Heitman House since Larry's food was THAT good! We were able to get a glimpse of what to expect for the big day, and it made us feel that much more comfortable. I can't say I've ever been to a wedding where I've been satisfied with the meal, and I can honestly say everyone left our wedding raving about the quality and taste of Larry's food.. This is coming from picky foodies and a very opinionated family. You won't be disappointed!

Overall a fantastic wedding and we couldn't be happier that we got to spend it at the Heitman House. We are so thankful for Larry's superb staff in the kitchen, and Shannon's reliability and excellent service from start to finish. Thank you again to the Heitman House team, job well done!

Shannon and Larry were super accommodating and always professional when responding. They take special care to make sure my event was special. They had the house cleaned the night before and left the whole rest of my wedding weekend unbooked so i would be able to come the night before and decorate. The grounds always looked beautiful and were well kept, while keeping the original charm of the property. The inside of the house is beautiful and also retains the charm of the times. I loved that i was able to have my entire ceremony and reception completely outside without the obstruction of a pavillion.

We have chosen the Heitman House as our wedding venue and we couldn't be more excited to share the beautiful venue with our friends and family. Larry and Shannon give concierge level service and they are very responsive and answer our questions promptly. Everything can be personalized and they make it a smooth process. My fiance and I recently had our tasting for our upcoming wedding at the Heitman House. Larry and Shannon did a phenomenal job from beginning to end. They were flexible when scheduling the evening and invited both sets of our parents to join us. We were treated to three different appetizers and two different entrees, all freshly cooked that evening. Larry takes great pride in his cooking skills, as he should. He detailed the preparation of each course that evening, and his food was absolutely exquisite. Shannon spent the evening mingling with us, serving us wine and beverages, and answering any/all of our questions. The two of them detailed the food selections presented to us that evening as well as several other options we could choose from for our wedding menu selection. Larry and Shannon are very professional as well as personable. They believe in providing the best possible service to their customers, and we felt like they did just that. We are so pleased to be working with Larry and Shannon on our upcoming wedding, and we cannot wait for more of Larry's fantastic food!

Alexandra Drouhard was our wedding planner and she is an absolute power house! She tore vendors apart to get great deals. I never met a planner with financial planning experience and she genuinely put in extra time to make certain that our wedding and honeymoon tuned out, excellently. Not only did she hook us up with our vendors and get discounts, but she also stayed friendly with us and followed up with us after the wedding. Alexandra Drouhard is not only a a wedding and financial planner, but she is now a family friend. I have no doubt that we will always remain close and do business together. The Heitman House is a very special place.

We had our wedding at The Heitman House last weekend and it was perfect! The setting was beautiful and our guests loved the old Florida feel. The food was fantastic! Larry was so accommodating leading up to the event and all weekend, his main concern was that our event was the best one they've ever had and that it was exactly how we pictured it. We ended up having to get a tent at the last minute and while I was a little bummed, it looked really pretty and our guests loved that they got to be in the shade. It was also really nice being able to use both the inside and outside of the house, our guests loved poking around in the historic home and a lot of them relaxed inside to take a break from dancing or to cool off.
Our wedding was honestly everything I had dreamed of and I would highly recommend The Heitman House and their entire staff (everyone was SO friendly!) to anyone looking for a gorgeous old Florida feel right on the river for their event!

I met Shannon and Sebastian at the bridal show at Germain Arena. To say the least, the bruschetta was awesome and they were both very informative. I scheduled a showing the following week! I met with Shannon who showed me the property and Larry, the chef, spoke about the food. As much as I wanted to book the Heitman House, I was unable to do so because our date was unavailable. My fiancee will be stationed overseas and we were limited with time and date. The property was beautiful. If it weren't for my urgency, I would definitely have booked here.

I went to the bridal show at the Harborside Event center and got selected for the battle of the brides with my raffle ticket where you have to dig through a wedding cake for a number of a prize. I won third place. In the third prize bag of prizes was a sunset dinner for two at the Heitman House in Fort Myers.
I called Larry the owner and asked him if I could exchange that 500$ prize for a rehearsal dinner for six. He was so nice and accommodating. My now husband has fish allergies Larry prepared a tremendous meal. It was so wonderful served family style he provided champagne as much as we wanted and the beautiful dining room setting and table settings made the dinner like something right out of a magazine. Plus the house itself and view is something all in itself. Also there is a patio area and outside dining. At night the outside has twinkle lights and is simply gorgeous, and right on the water with a boardwalk out on the river.
I explained to larry money was very tight for us and we wouldn't have even had a rehearsal dinner if it hadn't been for him being so generous. Larry is a seasoned chef for sure the food was five star quality.
I would recommend anyone thinking of using the Heitman House for their wedding venue or any type of event. Wonderful owner and staff.

i have no words to describe how incredible the Heitman House is! Shannon, the General Manager is out of this world amazing! The house it self is breathtaking-it's kept clean at all times and the staff is incredible to work with! The mean it when they say they are flexible and they respond so quickly and always have the answers to ANY question. The service is top notch and worth it very cent. The bridal suite is HUGE and has great lighting! Shannon is incredible- I have NOTHING but the greatest to share about her! She made sure i was stress free from the moment I met her.
The chef is amazing and the food is out of this world. Stop searching for a venue- you've found the perfect one right here!

I cannot express how impressed we were with the location and professional services received on our wedding day and the year leading up. Larry and his staff treated us as if we were family. My husband and I got married 12/13/14 and in the year leading up to our special day, there were management changes- none of which interfered with planning. On my first visit to The Heitman House, I was blown away from the neatly trimmed landscaping and the historical architecture (my father is an architect, so I can contest to intricate and richly designed homes). The Heitman House went under several renovations in order to preserve the history of the house. We set up our cocktail hour (and a half) on the wrap-around porch where there were stations and servers passing around hors d'oeuvres. Our dinner was a buffet with professional servers dishing out food and carving meat. I will admit, I was hesitant to have a buffet since I think they are tacky, but Larry proved me wrong. Not only did it look pretty, managed efficiently, and made my mouth water- the food was UNBELIEVABLE. We had an unbelievable taste-testing months before the wedding, and Larry definitely listened to our different tastes and styles to help craft an amazing and delicious menu.
It's a month after the wedding, and my guests are still reminding me about how much fun they had and how great their experiences were. The Heitman House supplied us with a wedding coordinator (a small charge), but almost everyone on the staff helped assemble for the evening. It was wonderful working with Larry and the rest of his staff. Too bad I am only going to get married once because I want to relive my entire experience with this venue again (*maybe an anniversary celebration?). I would ABSOLUTELY recommend The Heitman House to a friend.

My wedding at the Heitman House was absolutely perfect! The house and location are absolutely breath taking, it's like your own secret garden. I could not have asked for better weather, or a better catering staff to take such good care of my event. Jordan Webster made sure that my day went exactly how I always dreamed! From his staff to his spectacular food my guests can not stop raving about the entire evening. With Martin from Complete as my DJ, Kelly from Creative Imaginations as my photographer, Sarah from Complete as my videographer, and the amazing staff working my photo booth I could not have picked any better vendors to make my day so special.

First I want to say how amazingly breathtaking this historic house is! From the moment I drove into the driveway , I just knew this is where the most important day of my life HAD to take place. As I met with Larry, Jose and Megan, I felt so comfortable and taken care of. They listened to every detail and went above and beyond. Our guests are still raving about the food Larry prepared for us at both the rehearsal dinner and our wedding night dinner. The staff was very professional. Larry and Megan truly out-did themselves with making sure there was always a smile on my face. I couldn't have imagined our day to be any more perfect. I already want to do it all over again!!

The Heitman House is truly a magical place to get married. The venue is gorgeous, the grounds are breathtaking, the staff is attentive, and the food was spectacular!! Our guests are still raving over how delicious the food was that Larry prepared. My husband and I cannot say enough about Jose and Larry. They went above and beyond to ensure our day was perfect. From he moment I met Jose I knew there wasn't a need to worry about our day. He's got everything covered! We absolutely loved everything about being married here! I'd do it all over again in a heartbeat!
