I don’t know where to begin, but the main thing is: The Haight made my wedding magical and truly like a real fairytale! There truly is nowhere else that will give the same experience or the same level of service from Kari Haight or her assembled team of fairy god mothers. I’m tearing up thinking about it.
From the start, Kari decorated the entrance lobby with photos of us and our families, and it was just such a thoughtful and special touch. The outdoor aisle and rooftop deck is unreal, and if you’re getting married in fair weather it’s SO pretty with the lights. The reception area- WOW. The vintage lights and hanging greens were gorgeous. They set up everything so perfectly that I felt like I was on a movie set. The dance zone is also a great spot by the bar and they keep the rooftop open so you can take breather and fresh air after dancing. I’m telling you, this place has everything you’d want for your wedding day!
Finally-Kari has a great team, she and her staff and vendors not only give top of the line service and coordination, but they were so kind and took attention to every detail. So I’d definitely suggest going with her preferred vendors, they know what they’re doing and then some. Also-I had a veil emergency and Kari raced to the rescue by providing me with one the day of! There’s just nowhere or no one else that’ll go above and beyond the same way. -

If you want an stress-free wedding look no further! From day one, Lauren, Nicole and The Haight staff were amazing. The venue is rustic, chic, clean, and beautiful! We have received so many compliments on the venue from our guests. We had an amazing wedding thanks to the staff at The Haight. On our wedding day, there was never a moment where our coordinator, Lauren, wasn’t moving around, helping out, or asking what I needed. If anything went wrong, I had no idea about because Lauren had already taken care of it. I am so happy we chose The Haight as our venue. -

Love the look of this venue, its unique and industrial. We had our wedding here in May of 2023 and it was stunning. Our guests loved the unique look and it was able to accommodate our large families with ease. The outdoor space was beautiful and made for great photographs! The bridal sweet is also HUGE and is the perfect space for getting ready the morning of the wedding!

When my husband and I were going through the planning process of finding a venue I had my heart set on a different location and the Haight was our last venue tour. Boy am I glad we made the trip that day because we both left falling in love with the venue and the staff!
They were always timely in responses and were so helpful with the whole planning process. We chose all of our vendors off their preferred vendor list and weren’t upset with any choices. When it came to the big day Melissa was our day of coordinator (which comes with booking the venue and is an amazing amenity!)
Melissa knocked it out of the park for us. She was easy to communicate with and made it so neither of us had to worry about a think the day of. The staff is so organized it truly made for the most perfect day and best day of our lives. We couldn’t be anymore grateful for the Haight and we are so happy we chose this absolutely breathtakingly beautiful venue to be the home to our wedding day.

From the minute we stepped foot into the Haight, my husband and I knew we wanted to get married there. It was built in the late 1800s (same time period as our apartment) and it immediately felt warm and homey. The space is full of vintage beauty with hard wood floors and exposed brick throughout the venue. It required minimal decoration. Our family and friends raved about how beautiful the space was. Additionally the staff at the Haight was so supportive and responsive throughout our engagement. They gave us a folder of recommended vendors which helped us book our dream team without a wedding planner. On the day of my wedding, I had nothing to worry about because our event coordinator Lauren took care of everything. When we had issues with hotel transportation, Lauren handled it discretely and I hardly knew it was an issue. We felt taken care of and we were able to focus on enjoying our wedding day. I am eternally grateful for Lauren and the entire Haight staff for creating the wedding of our dreams. -

Fantastic from start to finish
The Haight is such an outstanding, beautiful wedding venue. Warm, modern, and incredible for pictures. I love all the different areas - lower level for a great first impression and cocktail hour, rooftop for ceremony & pictures at sundown, and main level for reception, dinner, entertainment, etc. The space worked beautifully. Everyone commented on what a great venue it was. I worked with Brett for the initial tour & contract and worked with Melissa for the heavy logistics and she was our day-of wedding coordinator. Can't recommend them enough. -

We knew the venue was gorgeous and just what our daughter and new son were looking for. What we didn't realize was how amazing the staff would be making sure this was their perfect day from start to finish! Not only did they set everything up (to my daughters specifications) but packed everything up at the end and took so much stress and worries away so we could all enjoy the day. -

Perfect venue
The Haight is the best! The staff was so kind to us and made sure we had everything we needed that day. They helped me out so much (there were definitely a lot of emails) as I was planning from a different state. If your looking for a rustic place to have your wedding this is the place! We are so thankful we were able to have our wedding here! We wouldn’t want it anywhere else! -

From the day that I first found The Haight online, I could not stop thinking about how beautiful the venue is and envisioned my wedding there. We had planned on touring a couple venues before making a final decision, but once we stepped into The Haight our minds were made and we were ready to book! Initially we were set to have our wedding August 2020, but decided to postpone due to the pandemic until August 2021. Throughout it all, Brett and everyone at The Haight has been great about communication, recommendations, and answering our many questions! With Brett's help, we knew exactly what we needed to get done ahead of time and what details to focus on which helped take the stress of wedding planning off of us as the wedding day got closer.
Our wedding day was everything we imagined! The bridal and groom suites were perfect for getting ready and photos/videos, we loved being able to spend the entire day at the venue! The Haight staff took care of setting up our personal items that we brought (photos, photobooth props, guest book, etc.) exactly as we had envisioned. The entire venue is full of beautiful photo backdrops including the new deck! We cannot put into words how beautiful The Haight is and how lucky we are to be able to say we had our wedding at The Haight! -

It's hard to put into words how incredible Lauren and The Haight team were to work with. The venue is gorgeous and speaks for itself but they were what made our wedding the best it could be. We couldn't have imagined a better group of people to help us in our wedding planning process or a better venue to host our dream wedding. The entire team was kind, responsive, helpful, flexible and truly made us feel so special. They went above and beyond to make our day go smoothly. We never had to worry about a single thing. With The Haight, you don't just get a venue, you get a team of coordinators working to make your day as wonderful as possible. The Haight is an absolutely gorgeous venue in Downtown Elgin. It's walkable to the river and several cute restaurants/photo spots. Even without a single decoration, it has so much character and multiple spaces to host your celebration including a new rooftop bar, downstairs cocktail area, upstairs ceremony/reception space, and beautiful bridal room.
Beyond the venue itself, the staff at The Haight is incredible! They are responsive and organized throughout the entire process and offer plenty of suggestions and assistance leading up to your big day. They will coordinate final details with vendors, help with timeline, coordinate seating arrangements, and even organize/set up decor. Both of my siblings were married in the past few years and The Haight was BY FAR the easiest and most helpful team to work with. Huge thank you to Brett, our day of coordinator, for making our day absolutely perfect!
I highly recommend leveraging their preferred/suggested vendors. Most are at the venue weekly and it makes the process super streamlined and stress free! I used Cuisine America for catering and Sounds Abound for my DJ and didn’t have to worry about a thing.
If you can find a date, pick The Haight! You won't be disappointed -

Perfect Wedding Day
Our wedding at The Haight was nothing short of a dream come true. It was truly the most perfect day, thanks to the amazing staff that helped make it happen, from the coordinators to the bartenders! Nicole took us on our first tour and handled all of our initial communication and was so professional and friendly, we knew this was the right choice for our venue. Sarah was our day-of coordinator and even throughout the stress of planning a wedding in a pandemic, she kept us informed and was prompt answering any questions we had. We did not have to stress about a single thing on our wedding day - everything was executed flawlessly, and they even took the time to set up and pack up all of our decorations. The space itself is amazing - our guests raved about how neat of a venue it was, and we really enjoyed the rooftop even on a chilly day in May. So happy we had our wedding at The Haight and would 100% recommend it to anyone looking for the perfect venue! -

Words cannot describe how magical our wedding was at The Haight. It was the first venue we looked at and we knew right away that it would be the one. From all of the pre-planning visits and communications to the day of, it was an incredibly easy and rewarding experience with the team. Brett was very informative, helpful, and completely understanding during the whole process. The planning and details all came together, yet we still could not believe how amazing our reception looked! The team exceeded our expectations, making our day truly special. Choosing The Haight for our wedding venue was the best choice we could have ever made. The moment we walked in and saw it we knew it was going to be perfect for our big day. The dark wood, brick walls, string lights, and cozy space gave our wedding the perfect hygge glow. Above all this, the staff at The Haight went above and beyond our expectations to make sure our wedding day went smoothly without any hiccups along the way. Our wedding guests still rave about this venue and how beautiful it was. Even though they had to close off the deck area for renovations leading us not being able to have an outside space, they more than made up for it with some of their amazing wedding rentals. We ended up renting their candle treatment, upgrading our ceremony curtain, and renting out all the farm tables free of charge to make up for the desk renovations. They were a such great touch to our big day. Brett, Nicole, and Lauren were so kind and also amazing to work with. With living out of state, they made communication about the venue and the wedding day simple and easy. Whenever I was in town for wedding planning, I could give them a call or send a quick email about coming to visit the venue to measure this or take a picture of that and I could zip on over. Day of, Brett was amazing and I wish I could have him for my day-to-day life planning!
We highly recommend The Haight and its staff for every couple wanting wonderful staff, stunning decor space, and an incredible wedding day! -

The Haight speaks for itself when it comes to ambiance. But what I want to shout out is the quality of service they provide. Their day-of coordinators are all worth thousands just for the quality and amount of service they give pre-wedding and especially wedding day.
Brett was our coordinator and my entire family and bridesmaids kept commenting on his efficiency and just overall helpfulness the entire day. My dad even said, “I feel like every time I needed something or had to ask a question I turned around and he was right there to take care of it or answer it.”
Their system for getting wedding day details from you and who is in charge of what is easy and efficient. And then day of, Brett completely made my vision come to life, and set up all of our personal items for us, coordinated with the vendors, basically took care of every single thing so all I had to do was show up and look good.
The Haight has the whole package, would recommend to anyone! -

Made sure our day was exactly how we wanted it. Our day of coordinators were able to help us make our day run smoothly & allowed us to have some time together before ending the night. They truly went above and beyond for us. We will be forever grateful for you all! -

Samantha Sent on 10/07/2018Just had my wedding here and I have to say that not only is this venue gorgeous, but the staff is incredible and they go above and beyond to help make youre day the best that it can be. The guide that they give you to help break everything down made fo the easiest wedding planning. I love that it is wheel chair accessable, that there is an outdoor deck and that there is a groom suite as well as the absolute gorgeous bridal suite. Im pretty sure almost every single guest had come up to me and told me how gorgeous and unique the venue was. When my husband and I were choosing venues we walked in and looked at a ceremony set up ...then looked at eachother and said "yep, this is the place". Yes the pictures are gorgeous. But seeing it in person is even more beautiful.
When I say their staff goes above and beyond, I mean, they truly go above and beyond. My dress bustle had broken because people stepped on my dress and Nicole came to the rescue with safety pins, she checked on me multiple times to make sure I was alright, she understood every simple explanation I put in my details sheet and made sure everything was set up perfectly even with measuring tape. She was funny and very professional and her assistant helped calm me down when I needed it right before goong down the aisle.
To sum it up, this place is not only just a venue but they truly take care of you on your special day. If I could give them 180 stars Id give them 180 stars. -
Deb Sent on 05/22/2018The Haight is a hidden gem in the Chicago suburbs. My husband and I were looking for a unique loft-type venue and were trying to avoid the hassle of being downtown. The second we stepped inside the Haight we knew it was something special and when we got upstairs, we knew for sure this was the venue for us. The furnishings are so interesting and make it a space unlike any other. Everyone was very easy to work with and everything went smoothly on our wedding day. The new bridal suite was a great perk, too! What an incredible venue!

Crystalynn Sent on 01/15/2018I loved my experience with the Haight! Briana was super accommodating and helpful in setting up times that my vendors could come in and meet with us prior to our wedding. The space is beautiful and we got compliments from everyone about how unique and interesting the space is. The staff at the Haight made sure our wedding went smoothly and asked about timelines and organization that I would have never thought about. I was a pretty disorganized bride when it came to details, but Briana was very helpful and patient with me! They do suggest you purchase wedding insurance, which is something I do wish we would have done as we did have an unfortunate incident in which a specialty toilet was broken and cost quite a bit to fix due to it being on a weekend and such. Briana was very apologetic in her email to me, as she understood that we were on our honeymoon and she had to be the bearer of bad news. However, it was something that could have been avoided had I heeded her advice to have wedding insurance prior to the wedding. Overall my experience was wonderful and I would recommend the Haight to my friends and family! -

Briana, Lauren and Ashley all took such great care of our wedding and the details, they were on top of everything for us. There was not one moment during the planning process that I didn't feel at complete ease knowing I had picked the best venue. And now after my wedding day, My husband and I both feel it was the happiest day of our lives. We couldn't be more grateful to The Haight for helping with that.

I'm from Elgin and was therefore determined to get married anywhere but Elgin. That all changed when we saw The Haight! The staff is super knowledgable, easy-going, and accommodating; the space is unique yet also customizable; and the ability to interview and bring in all your own vendors makes this space the DIY Bride's PERFECT venue. We had our ceremony offsite so we had a lot of flexibility with the space. The rectangular layout of the reception hall was super versatile and had many benefits: we loved using the farm tables as the head table and how the dance floor was vast but not so big that it ever looked empty. It also allowed our guests to mingle and chat past cocktail hour and into dinner. Everyone raved about the outdoor patio- a must for summer weddings! So wildly happy with the venue, the staff, and the day itself!! -

The Haight was an absolute pleasure to work with throughout our entire wedding planning process! They were pretty accommodating and helpful with anything we needed or had questions about. We were able to go see the venue on multiple occasions prior to our wedding, which was so great to see the space in different settings.
Brett was our coordinator and truly helpful and amazing too. He was able to bring all our visions to light. I loved being able to drop off our decor items a few days prior and he had everything set up perfectly the day of. He worked with our other vendors to ensure everyone was on track and arriving at the right times throughout the day. He asked me multiple times throughout the day if we needed anything.
We paid to have the bridal suite an hour earlier and I was forever grateful to have it for 'getting ready' photos! We were also allowed to use their new outdoor patio space for photos without having to rent it. All of our guests were just as obsessed with the Haight as we were. I would recommend this venue to everyone! -

The venue was absolutely stunning and we saved a lot of money by booking on a Sunday. Unfortunately, our day-of-coordinator was not helpful on the day of the wedding. Many people were stressed because it was unclear what was happening. -

We were so excited to have our wedding at The Haight, upon booking we were working with Brianna which was absolutely wonderful. Once she left it all went down hill from there. Our wedding was scheduling for August 21 2021, we booked The Haight in 2019. Of course COVID hit & businesses were greatly impacted. We understood how difficult this was for businesses. We were hopeful for August. Once things got closer we met with the venue to begin to finalize some details. We soon realized that it might be better to reschedule for 2022 as The Haight suggested we did our wedding in waves. We were expecting 150 guests and they suggested we do 50 at a time, so 50 come for a bit then leave and then the next few come. It was very strange. We then received an email that if we would like to do 2022 we could do Monday - Thursday in Peak season (April - November) or Sunday - Thursday in off-peak season. Also a few Fridays in February 2022. Being business owners ourselves that was just not possible and we felt very hurt by the management responses. With our wedding date approaching in less then 5 months we were starting to get worried. We wanted to discuss with the owners. They called us during our business hours and stated that they have children and after 3 pm doesn’t work for them. Also very shocking as I could never imagine telling my customers something like that. Email communication was getting us nowhere as we were not given many options that made us feel confident spending the amount of money the venue charges for the suggestions given to us. We lost 6k, initial deposit we understand not to be refundable but a bar package that had not been purchased as well as additional payments towards the venue where services were never received.. I’ve never heard of such a thing. At the end it was a blessing in disguise as I could see they have a lot of work to do in the customer service department and would never wish this nightmare on any couple planning their special day. -

Would give 0/5 stars if I could. I truly never give bad reviews but we had the most horrific experience with The Haight. The Haight breached basic confidentiality and disclosed financial amounts, vendor information, and expected guest count without my consent to someone that was not on the event contract. They have refused to take accountability for breaching the basic confidentiality, disclosed financial amounts, vendor information, and expected guest count without my consent. After canceling with The Haight, they continued to break confidentiality by obtaining information from a vendor when I had a password-protected agreement with that vendor after I had specifically stated I had confidentiality issues with The Haight. The Haight tried to offer options such as reselling the date (which we asked them to do and they did not provide documentation to us that they did so, they just stated they tried and the date did not resell), changing locations to their venue down the street from The Haight (which would not make a difference to the situation as it was confidentiality concern), change the date (that does not resolve the issue as it is a confidentiality concern), and add security (adding security still would’ve not addressed the concern as they broke confidentiality). I had to cancel with The Haight because I could not trust that they would hold any of my information as confidential. They stated in the contract that the retainer and other fees are non-refundable, and when asked to refund us regardless because of their breach of confidentiality, they stated that they still could not refund us due to The Haight using retainers and fees for other business expenses. Since we did not feel that the options offered could resolve their actions we wanted a refund despite their contract, due to the several breaches in confidentiality, for what we had paid for and an apology directly from the owner, both of which they did not give. The Haight provided general apologies but did not take accountability specifically for breaching basic confidentiality, disclosing financial amounts, vendor information, and expected guest count without my consent. Truly such bad business and I would never recommend anyone to them. They ruined our wedding experience. Again, we tried numerous times to ask for direct contact with the owner and they did not connect with us for their team breaching basic confidentiality, disclosing financial amounts, vendor information, and expected guest count without my consent. Horrendous experience.
