The Groovy Wedding company, Reverend Terry and Miss Donna are awesome! Knowing we wanted a Halloween wedding in the Smokies, but not knowing where to start, we were lucky to find the Groovy Wedding Company. Reverend Terry took over with recommendations on venues and the knowledge of Tennessee weddings. He recommended a venue which we chose, but just a week before our wedding, the venue closed. No worries, Reverend Terry had a perfect backup for us.
The location he recommended and our Halloween wedding that my new wife had always dreamed about was perfect.

Terry and Donna are happy and eager to customize to your special day. Terry chose a beautiful reading for our non-religious ceremony perfect for the setting and for us. Donna made a beautiful rope for our handfasting with great attention to detail matching our chosen theme. When they arrived to our wedding location and were introduced to our kids Donna and Terry immediately made a connection. Our kids genuinely enjoyed talking with them making our tiny, little wedding that much more special. We chose a basic option but The Groovy Wedding Company offers many themes and options and it's obvious how much they truly enjoy being able to do their part for each couple they work with. -

It is not every day when one can say that Gandalf came to their wedding! They went above and beyond our expectations. We were so happy with the entire ceremony, and the kindness and flexibility shown for our very non traditional ceremony. Reverend Terry and Miss Donna truly made our fantasy themed wedding a day we will never forget! The handfasting ceremony was particularly special to us, and Miss Donna made a beautiful cord that we will cherish forever. Not only did they make our wedding a dream come true, they are also just amazing people. They were so professional, but made us feel very comfortable and helped us figure things out through the process. We are so grateful for their service and we are still over the moon that they did so much for us and made the whole process less stressful and amazing! -

Rev. Terry & Miss Donna made our fairly spontaneous elopement a beautiful, stress-free, supportive event. Rev. Terry was incredibly prompt & responsive to emails, texts & calls during the entire process. He was patient & professional, and truly listened to our requests. Miss Donna made sure to capture lots of photos, including candid, formal, and fun shots. Best of all, both of them made us feel as if we were among friends versus hired strangers. With just ourselves and our dog (as the wayward ring bearer) Rev. Terry & Miss Donna made our short-n-sweet wedding ceremony as special and perfect as we had dreamed. We thank them, and highly recommend their company. It was all wonderful, from start to finish! -

Groovy Wedding was pleasant and very helpful to work with, also very responsive to emails. They helped with my last minute change of plans to change our dressy attire to our Dirt Track Race Car firesuits(we both race). My now husband always wanted to do something like that. So it happened! Reverend Terry also dressed up as an Official and brought checkered flags with our weddingdate on them! They went above and beyond for us and we thank them for that. Groovy Wedding joined us together 8/10/23 -

Terry and his assistant were so helpful from the very beginning. All questions were answered in a timely manner. We let Terry know what our beliefs were, which were non-traditional non-religious with more of a spiritual, astrological importance. He wrote a personalized ceremony, especially for us, and it was absolutely perfect thank you Terry for making our special day the most perfect and could be. We would recommend this wedding service to anyone getting married in the mountains. -

Handfasting
Terry Burke and Donna made our special day of Handfasting even more special. We had chosen a rustic cabin in the mountains in Pigeon Forge for our handfasting ceremony, but they would have met us anywhere of our choosing. They made everything special as we made our life commitment together by Handfasting.
We would definitely recommend them for Handfastings, weddings, or whatever type of celebration you have in mind.

Exactly what we were looking for!
Our experience with The Groovy Wedding Company was excellent. We were looking for a non-religious officiant for our Smoky Mountain wedding. We wanted to keep it simple. Rev Terry Burke was very responsive and personable, and worked through exactly what we were wanting to experience during our ceremony. We had a rehearsal on Friday, and the ceremony on Saturday. Rev Burke showed up early, and was super helpful during the entire experience. Thank you all again!! -

Married in my cabin
We wanted to get married while vacationing in Townsend, TN. Groovy Weddings came to our cabin and preformed the ceremony and did all the photography. The other places I looked into had a limit on pictures but we were surprised to learn that we could take a lot without extra charges. He also gave us a copy of our vows! Great experience! -

Rev Terry is very knowledgeable about the area and was able to answer our questions and even give us ideas where to ride the motorcycles. He is flexible about ceremony types so he will work with you to make your wedding what you envision. -

Personalized to fit us
I can’t say enough great things about the Groovy Wedding Company!
Reverend Burke went out of his way to make our ceremony personal to fit my husband and I. I made a joke to Reverend Burke when first meeting him that I don’t care if he impersonated the minister from The Princess Bride during the whole ceremony, I’m just happy to be marrying my best friend. Reverend Burke took that as a challenge and you better believe that is exactly what he did! He wrote a whole ceremony just for us.
“Mawage, mawage is what bwings us togeda today...”
He told me that he rewatched the movie just to make sure he was getting it right. If that isn’t going above and beyond, I don’t know what is.
They even showed up early to make sure they had time to talk to both my husband and I separately before the ceremony.
I love Reverend Burke and his adorable wife. They so genuinely care and it shows.
Thank you Groovy Wedding Company for everything you did for us. The memories will last a life time! -

We have a wedding planned for October of this year but with COVID we were worried we would have to change plans. We decided to elope just in case on the side of a mountain in Pigeon forge. We called around and had no luck finding someone to come out to our cabin. My now husband found The Groovy wedding company and we are so thankful we did! Super professional. All around great guy. Was familiar with the handfasting ceremony that we were interested in doing and everything went absolutely perfect. Laid back and just a good guy. Would recommend to anyone!

Amazing views and I could not have asked for a better day. Donna was amazing with photography. If you are looking for a no hassle, but fun beautiful memory I highly recommend Groovy Tours. Not many things I had to except say "I Do" Had photo drive back to me the next day, Also had already gone and filed our paperwork with the courthouse... I understand being sick, and especially if you have Covid. But we were canceled on the day of the wedding through text, not even a phone call. The Gandolf costume was really going to pull our whole wedding theme together so we were really bummed out about such short notice. If we had known at least a day in advance, we could’ve had someone buy a costume to replace him. The communication through the planning process was wonderful and I’m sure he’s a wonderful officiant, that just wasn’t something we ended up being able to witness.
