Wow! Wow! WOW!!

We recently had our wedding at the Cincinnati Club which is run by McHale's Catering and I genuinely cannot say enough good things about this place. At first I was concerned because it was on the top end of our price range, but now I'm so glad that we chose them because you 1000% get what you paid for. The staff think of and do everything. Anytime I needed a question answered they were super quick to respond. I wanted to give a special thanks to Katie S., Loren W., Jeannie and Jeremy who made sure everything went off without a hitch. If you are thinking about this place for your special day, all I can say is do not hesitate. Thank you so much to all the staff at McHale's and the Cincinnati Club for making this the wedding of our dreams!

Awesome food & service!

Highly recommend McHale's as a wedding caterer! The staff (I worked with Lindsay as my pre-wedding coordinator from McHale's and she was so responsive, knowledgeable and sweet throughout the planning process) is all so friendly and organized, and the service on the night of our wedding was absolutely outstanding. Most importantly... their food was amazing. We received so many compliments from our guests that our food was "Actually really really good" (as in not just "good for mass catering / typical wedding food standards"). They have a few unique and fun menu items and were very flexible with me when creating a menu that was a mixture of traditional and non traditional wedding food. Definitely a 6 out of 5 star vendor!

We had a blast at our wedding reception at The Gardens of Park Hills. Our event planner, Lindsay, was so easy to work with and very prompt in responding to all my questions. The service was excellent and the food was yummy. We especially enjoyed the craft beer bar in the Vista Room! It was very affordable and the perfect venue for our big day!

We had our wedding reception at the Pinnacle Ballroom in Covington. It was absolutely AMAZING! There was minimal decorating because most was done by the McHale's staff. I was able to completely convey my vision of the reception through a one-on-one meeting with Brent. I did not worry about a single thing the entire night and it was exactly what I wanted. If I could go back and redo my reception I would not have changed a single thing!

McHale's catering was amazing to work with. We were able to attend a tasting which helped us decide on the perfect menu. Jen was our consultant and was super helpful with all of the planning details. The staff the night of the reception were amazing as well. I felt like I had a personal bartender the entire night :). Everyone raved about how good the food was too!

We just had our daughter's wedding reception in the Vista room at the Gardens. We looked all over for the perfect spot and McHale's delivered on everything from a great venue, to 5 star service, great food and incredible communication from day 1. Too bad I don't get to plan another wedding because my choice would be easy, I would use them again in a heartbeat!

We had our ceremony and reception at The Grand, and everything was absolute perfection! We worked with Brent leading up to the event, and Jason and Nancy were our managers for the actual wedding. I can't say enough great things about this place. The food was delicious - our guests complimented us on that all night, and the staff was beyond attentive - I had people tell me they wished they had booked The Grand for their own weddings, rather than the venues they had used. I will tell anyone that we are so happy we chose this venue!

McHale's went above and beyond our expectations for my daughter's wedding. They knew what we needed when we did not even know what to ask for - the staff made sure that everything was perfect on the wedding day and were doing things behind the scenes to make sure that our guests were cared for in an excellent way. Our quests complimented the professionalism of the staff and said over and over that the food was delicious. I feel that McHale's made the wedding day so much better! Everything was amazing. We were so well taken care of I didn't have to worry about a thing. The evening went so smooth and perfect not a thing went wrong or if it did they kept it from me which I very much appreciate. We were able to fully focus on the wedding ceremony and not stress about a thing The food was amazing, the staff took amazing care of us before, after and during. McHale's did an absolutely amazing job with our Labor Day Weekend wedding at Drees Pavilion. We worked with Brittany Roseman. She was always very responsive to our questions and willing to work with us on special touches that we wanted at our wedding such as our bourbon tasting bar and bringing in local favorite beers of ours like Rhinegeist and Great Lakes. The service staff and quality of food was wonderful. We were able to do a private tasting and our parents did a public tasting. Brittany attended our Drees Pavilion reception details meeting to make sure we were all on the same page prior to the wedding. I highly recommend McHale's!

I. Love. McHales. There aren't enough words to describe how wonderful it was to have our wedding reception with McHales. Our May 2016 wedding reception was at the Vista room at the Gardens of Park Hills. We did a lot of research during our 2 year engagement and man, did we pick a great venue. The planning process was smooth and our planner (Brittany) was always prompt to respond and if she didn't know the answer to our questions right away, she would stay in touch and let us know she was working on it (which is very reassuring for a bride). The venue was just beautiful. The food was outstanding. And the staff were so attentive. Absolutely everything was set up perfectly, exactly how we wanted and requested. Staff was quick to refill glasses of water and remove empty plates from tables. And they made us and our parents feel like royalty. We had an absolute blasts at our reception, and a lot is due to our venue choice. I would recommend McHales to any engaged couple!

I worked with Brittany at McHales and also the owner, who were both great and recommended their cake lady, Lisa. I attended a catered event at the Drees Pavilion and their food was excellent. I like that they are a more modest food choice with great pricing and their open bar pricing is also very affordable. I plan to use them for my wedding this fall as soon as I book the venue!!

We had our wedding reception at The Gardens of Park Hills (vista room) on 12/12/15. We worked with Brittany Brown throughout our planning and she was SO great and so easy to work with! She was very accomodating!

McHales truly goes above and beyond for their clients. Their staff was SO friendly and SO professional. They made our reception AWESOME and well planned out! Here is an example of how their customer service is so great: after my husband and I smashed eachother in the face with cake, I had a McHales staff member come to me with a fresh, hot,damp towel for me to clean up with. This little detail just shows how great they are! Not to mention, the food was exceptional! We had SO MANY guests tell us how impressed they were with the food and service. If people do not choose McHales, it their lose!

McHale's Catering was more than accommodating to our needs throughout the entire planning process. Most of our planning was done from a few states away and they were very understanding. We were able to schedule a tasting while we were home without a problem. The food was absolutely excellent! I am still hearing good things from my guests about how much they enjoyed their meal! The day of, we were never without a drink in our hand or food on our plate!

I worked with Cassie at the beginning of my planning but she has since moved to Wyoming! Fear not, you are still in great hands! I worked with Brent and she was a pleasure. We met and worked out the details of my reception. You can tell that she has lots of experience because her suggestions made sense and were a huge help. I was grateful for the guidance. She even worked with my mother to make sure my mom had the certain kind of wine she likes! Tiffany is the hall manager and she was by my side during my reception making sure I had a drink and was happy. She knew my cake lady and went above and beyond to get the cake parts back to her which she didn't have to do. At the end of the night she packed up my leftovers and made sure I got out the door alright. She was just wonderful.
PS. The Arbor room is beautiful and gave us a more intimate feel. I liked that it was not just a huge flat room.

The Gardens made my special day perfect. They were friendly, responsive and flexible. They helped me in every step of planning the big day. There food was awesome and the people were even better. There prices were the best around! The day of the staff was great, they waited on us hand and foot. Anything you need they will get. One staff member even had to fix my bustle with pins because someone stepped on it. I would highly recommend The Gardens for your reception and/or wedding venue.

Our wedding was actually at the Florentine in Florence which is a McHale's Event site. We had both our ceremony and reception there. Everything was perfect. The staff was great and . I had expected the wines served to be of good quality but they exceeded my expectations.. We received many compliments from our guest not only on how nice the venue was but also how good the food was.

I love McHales! There are so many positive things that I can say about them.
First, I love that their venues are all inclusive (food, staff, free beer and wine). This is helpful for a very busy bride and a bride on a budget.

Secondly, I love their selection of venues! I chose The Grand because it looks very classic and has two levels. The interior is absolutely stunning, but it is located next to a strip club.

There staff is so professional. They accommodated EVERY single need that I had.

I have no complaints whatsoever about McHales. They really made my special day perfect :)!

The food was amazing! All of the staff were just so wonderful from beginning to end! The even tried everything in my power to calm my nerves and help with the unforeseen family complications! They are the best ever!

We had our event in the Vista room and Kaitlyn was our event planner. The staff at McHales was exceptional and went above and beyond to meet all of our catering and event needs. Everything from food, to napkins, to room layout, to coordination of our vendors was handled smoothly and professionally by McHales so that as the Bride I didn't have to worry about a thing. They were prompt in all communication and efficient/thorough so that I did not feel stressed during the event or its planning. My family and my husband and I were more than pleased with the services provided. We felt that they went above and beyond what we expected from a catering company and would recommend McHales' venues and catering to other couples looking for a reception site.

Mchales is awesome!! The food was fantastic, even better on our wedding day than the tasting we attended. The staff was incredible and our guests are still raving about the food and service. They packed up all of the leftovers, which we ate for the next couple of days and it was still tasty!

McHale's is WONDERFUL!!! From the very beginning, our coordinator was helpful, responded quickly to ALL my questions. The food was fantastic!! I had people telling me that it was the best reception food they have ever had at a wedding. They were very accomadating to food allergies that we had in our wedding party, and she said her modified meal was delicious as well. The value is great!!! The money you pay for all the amenities that are included is uncomparable to anywhere else.

We had our reception in the Vista Room at The Gardens of Park Hills & nothing could have been more perfect!!! The staff here is AMAZING! From the planning and all through the entire event everything was outstanding. We felt like royalty the day of our wedding. The food, the servers, the banquet managers, the flow and the outstanding service could not have been better! We have been getting so many compliments about our wedding & the service all of our guests were provided. It's so nice that everyone got treated so special on our important day. We can't thank you all enough for all your hard work, your amazing service & attention to details. You made our wedding so special and we're so glad we chose you to take care of our day.

My wife and I are sure that McHales Catering has the best catered food that we have ever had at any wedding and we are so happy that it was at ours! Through the whole planning stages, Jen at McHales was very professional and easy to work with even when our schedule was absolutely crazy! McHales provided all sorts of options to help us make decisions on what we wanted from them as a caterer and they were very formal and structured during the planning stages. All the up front planning led to a very hands off and relaxed experience the day of the wedding which allowed my wife and I, along with all of our guests, to be relaxed and enjoy the evening and all the great food! We also had several compliments on the waiting staff and their ability to always be present for our guests to attend to any of their needs. Overall, McHale’s was a great decision that I would suggest to any close friend!

We got married and had our reception in the Arbor Room at the Gardens of Park Hills. From the moment we saw the room we were in love with the decor. The food is delicious and the service is amazing! Cassie, our event planner, helped to make sure everything was perfect for our Special Day. All of our guests have raved about how beautiful everything was and how good the food was

Coordinator: Our coordinator was Cassie. She is fantastic! She thought of everything we didn't and organized our reception to perfection! Everything was set up absolutely perfectly when we arrived. I didn't worry about a thing because I knew Cassie would and did take care of everything!

Food: McHale's food is fantastic! We had a buffet which includes 2 entrees and 3 sides. The perfect number of options. The food was hot and delicious, in my opinion different and better than typical "wedding food".

Service: The waitstaff at the Gardens is phenomenal! I was never without a glass of water! They were constantly asking me if I needed anything or if they could do anything. Amazing! They did all the cleaning at the end and helped us organize everything and load the cars! Seriously, I cannot say enough about the service at the Gardens!

Price: At the Gardens, everything is included which is amazing. No worrying about coordinating different vendors on the day of. Your McHale's coordinator takes care of all that anyway, but fewer people means fewer mistakes. I looked at a dozen venues for our reception and the Gardens was by far the nicest and best value. The only thing I didn't like was that for kids over the age of 10 are adults and you have to pay the adult price (which includes unlimited beer and wine). I wish there was an under 21 price, but even without that the value of the Gardens was phenomenal!

I would definitely choose the Gardens of Park Hills for our reception again!

Cassie at the Garden was so good to work with. She was very responsive and followed up with all the details. I was very happy with her services. The day of the reception...the only thing that could have been better was the head waiter. He introduced himself at the beginning of the reception and then we never saw him again. We did not have drinks ready for us at our table nor did our parents. This was odd because we had planned that before hand with the drink orders ready to go. So that was lost somehow. But the food was great! Everyone loved the rice! They raved about the rice for days after.

Awesome Food

We used McHales for the catering for our wedding that we held in Cincinnati June 2023. The food was incredible. We got sun dried tomato stuffed chicken which was the star of the food, but everything was so good. We had a buffet and they did a great job all together from planning, tasting, choosing our menu and everything on the day of.

Our venue provided 6 preferred caterers to choose from depending primarily on budget. We knew we were going to have a large wedding, and my mom requested a plated meal, so I knew I had to be choiceful. McHales fit perfectly within our budget and let me tell you the food was DELISH and, very importantly, served hot to all 220 of our guests. They also helped us with our rentals since our venue didn’t provide linens or glassware. Definitely schedule a tasting with them!

They were great in so, so many ways. Anytime I had a question, they were quick to respond, the food was great. They made my reception so easy for me. The place looked beautiful and I essentially dropped off buckets of flowers, and they took all the leaves off for me, even though I said are you sure that's ok. The food was great. I've been to a couple receptions and work events and it's always a great place. I really cannot recommend them more. They truly made one of the most daunting pieces of wedding planning so easy.

We had a wonderful time at our reception! They did exactly what we wanted, and we have received SO many compliments on the food. An amazingly attentive staff--they made our day flow and took such special care of us. Thank you!

This feedback will go along with my feedback with McHales as they're "tied together" so-to-speak. I was able to work with Kaitlyn, who did a phenomenal job organizing everyone for the day of and making sure all the vendors coordinated for the reception. She even ordered the pizza and made sure our band was fed before the reception began!

The staff did an amazing job on the day of our wedding. We were in the Vista Room and it was amazing. The staff was constantly checking in to see if we needed anything, and making sure the rest of the guests were taken care of.

The employees did a great job keeping the flow of the reception. They cleaned up and separated our stuff and packaged everything for us. The management was very kind and thourough in making sure we had exactly what we wanted

I had worked with McHale's catering before and I knew they had good service, prices and, most importantly, food. I wasn't disappointed. Megan Foltz was our coordinator and she was easy to reach and took my ever changing mind in stride. The Gardens offers a really nice package with a lot of extras (passed wine and appetizers, 5 hour reception, free use of projector and screen in Vista Room, etc.) and it's a nice room that's easy enough to transform into whatever you want it to be. Also the service that day was outstanding. I did find out later on, however, that they had moved my cake table to access some stairs and as a result, my cake was a little lopsided. More on that in the cake review. For future brides, put the cake on the side of the staircase by the bar. No reason for it to be moved then.

The wait staff was courteous and very helpful during the weding reception. The hall was beautiful and comfortable for the guests. The wait staff made a special effort to check with us as hosts to make sure we were being taken care of.

I was very happy about our choice of venue for the reception. The Arbor Room's decor is very neutral and went very well with our fall wedding. They allowed us to pick table cloths, napkins, room set up, and chairs. They were very accommodating for decorating the night before. The one downside is that they require the use of a licensed cake maker...

The venue(The Grand) and staff were easy to work with and a great team. The quality of service we received the day of our wedding was outstanding. I am undoubtedly a bit high maintenance and they never once flinched when I asked for anything. It made planning our wedding a breeze. Their pricing was some of the lowest we found in our research. We also used them for our wedding cake, and it came out absolutely gorgeous! I only had one bite as the night flew by so quickly, but I heard all the layers/flavors were amazing. I am grateful for all that they did and highly recommend them.

We're really glad we chose The Gardens of Park Hills (The Arbor Room). The staff, especially the night of the wedding, were extremely helpful. We had lots of options, and the minimum of 5 hours included in the package was excellent. One of the biggest complaints I hear brides say is they wish they would have gotten an extra hour, but we got 5 included!

The food from McHale's was wonderful, I'm so glad we made sure to take the time to eat, but they also sent us home with all the left overs.

I started working with Brent who is amazing, and Kaitlyn jumped in mid planning due to the location my reception was being held. The food was amazing and was the most talked about detail of the wedding.

Mchales did a wonderful job the day of my wedding. The staff was great! My wedding coordinator was Brittany. I felt like it was sooo hard to get responses from her. It started to get very stressful. I know somethings are out of her control, but there were questions that were left unanswered for awhile. We finally got our quota after a couple weeks of meeting, and by the time I got it the final payment was due, and I felt rushed. BUT the night of the wedding was great! Food was awesome!

McHale's did a great job listening to our needs to make our wedding just the way we wanted. They offered a good price for their services considering we had such a small wedding (75 guests).

Great planning but horrible execution

Recently was married and we used McHale's Catering. I am a person with a gluten intolerance and this was of top concern when picking a vendor. We ended up going with McHale's because they communicated that they would provide several gf options. When going to our tasting we were so excited when tasting their gf pasta option. My husband even said he thought it tasted the same as the regular pasta! We also were excited because they were flexible in creating dishes personalized to our tastes. For example, we worked with them to create a pesto topped spinach and feta stuffed chicken breast. We loved that idea and how we could make a meal they didn't ever present before! We were charged an additional 50 cents per plate for the addition of pesto, but felt it was worth it since we love pesto so much. This all was going so smoothly until the day of the wedding arrived. On the wedding day I was served a salad with no dressing. I understood that the dressing that was put on the other salads was no gf but I was shocked that they didn't even provide a vinaigrette or olive oil with salt and pepper as an alternative. For a gf bread option I was given a non-toasted slice of white sandwich bread, which again was not an up to par alternative. I was able to get over these two missteps as I realized it was not exactly communicated what the alternatives would be for those options. When the dinner came out though, this was where the real disappointment came. I was given a plate with dry chicken with no pesto on it. I was also not given any pasta. I was very surprised and asked the server where my pasta was and was told that there wasn't any gf pasta. I was having such a great day that I didn't allow this to affect me then, but looking back this is completely unacceptable. The pesto was missing from my chicken, making it dry and almost inedible and the main reason we went with McHale's was due to them providing gf pasta at no additional charge. The two main things I was excited to eat on my wedding day were missing from my plate. This didn't happen on the day of. It is hard to even compliment them on how easy the process was to plan since so many things were not executed correctly on the actual day of. It was quite the disappointment and I hope that others do not make the same mistake, especially if they are people with food allergies.
