    EXCELLENT FOOD, SERVICE, and ADVICE for spring/outdoor wedding reception (Saturday, 5/20/17, @ 2:30pm) in our backyard. Tiffany was incredible, with much attention to detail and in matching the wedding reception theme: "casual, elegant, garden party." Very reasonable price quote. Chef, Justin, was super! 6 staffers worked like crazy, always with a smile on their faces. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! Was a glorious celebration for my son & beautiful new daughter-in-law, and we could not have done it without this fabulous catering team! Denise T.

    I don't know where to START! We absolutely loved everything about Gourmet Gang. Not only was the menu our coordinator provided a great value for the incredible food served. All of our wedding guests raved about how delicious the food was, many even mentioned it was the best wedding food they had ever eaten. We ended up ordering our floral and design package through them as well and everything turned out beautiful!! Words cannot express how pleased we were, in fact what a Tiffany delivered FAR EXCEEDED our expectations. Tiffany thier head coordinator is a DREAM to work with! We went for thier Day Of Coordination Package and let me tell you! She is professionalism exlimplified, anytime the smallest thing came up prior to our wedding she was on top of having solutions or a new exciting idea about how to execute! She coordinated all rentals (tables, chairs, linens, etc.) which made planning very easy. She was responsive and helpful throughout all of the planning. She was helpful in guiding us through all selections from food to chairs and linens to executing the theme and look off of my Pinterest page down to the very last detail and even some I couldn't have even thought of! The tasting was wonderful and we felt like valued customers throughout the process. The on-site staff went above and beyond to make sure all guests were happy during the event. Special attention was paid to make sure the groom and myself had plenty of food and wine throughout the night as well. We highly recommend using Gourmet Gang for your wedding!! Thank you Gourmet Gang for providing us memories for year to come it was such a great experience for us and our family to enjoy the day, I was never stressed or worried because I knew Tiffany and Gournet Gang staff had it Covered!!

    Gourmet Gang did a wonderful job on my wedding. They keep in contact with you and they are very flexible with your request. They are also very responsive and approachable. They have a variety of selections on their menu. It was a perfect catering on my wedding. Thank you for being amazing.

    Gourmet Gang was the best choice to have as our wedding caterer. They kept in contact and on task with helping plan our wedding menu, but also helped us with our tables, chairs, linens, decor, and food. They are the best at what they do! The catering team was very professional and attentive to everyone of our guests. I would highly recommend hiring Gourmet Gang for your events catering! They will surpass your expectations!

    Gourmet Gang was exceptional!! The food was delicious! They arrived on time and set-up everything as requested. The food was high quality at an affordable price. Lucy, the catering manager, was also wonderful to work with!

    If you have a event where catering is needed, you need to book with gourmet gang!! They catered my wedding and it was beautiful and delicious. The presentation of the food was amazing and the set up all of our rentals as well. Working with the Catering Managers was truly a great experience..as a busy bride-to-be, I had no worries about things getting done with the catering and rentals part of the reception. The food is to die for...the company ran out of their business cards at my wedding because so many of my guests asked for one!! That tells you something!

    The Gourmet Gang did an awesome job catering our wedding. Lucy was terrific to work with, very responsive to every request and helped me put together a creative menu that met our specifications. We thought we'd have a hard time finding a caterer since we wanted an all-vegetarian (mostly vegan) menu, and we wanted our guests to be impressed with the food. They wowed all of us. We got so many compliments on the food, not one person asked "where's the meat?", the food was top notch. The presentation was gorgeous, the staff was courteous. Our wedding was outdoors in 101 degree heat, and the staff coped with it flawlessly, brought the food inside the building and no one was ever the wiser that it should have been set up otherwise.

    The staff also set up all our tables, chairs and rentals and when an invoice came back from the rental company for some broken items, Lucy took care of it immediately.

    I would very highly recommend Gourmet Gang for any event you have. They cater everything from small meetings to huge events, plus their deli locations have delicious lunch options as well. I visit the downtown one frequently.

    I was really worried about selecting them at first, but Tiffany really was a great help. She worked with my budget and we figured out something that would work best for what I would want. The food tasted exactly like it did when I did a testing. Everyone keeps asking me about the sauce that came with the chicken and the sweet potato ham biscuits. They really helped my guest have a great experience.

    Everyone with which we interacted was friendly and attentive. Pat was with us on the day of the wedding and she provided excellent service. Though we chose to serve light hordourves which require little over site, she was supremely friendly and attentive to all of the guests, she even thought to make a small snack for my husband and I, as we were to excited to stop and grab a bite earlier on in the evening. We highly recommend The Gourmet Gang.

    Best Wedding Buffet Food

    When looking for a food vendor - look no further. Gourmet Gang offered both quality and quantity for an amazing cost. It was the best buffet food that I have had and they were so helpful with changing the menu to what we wanted exactly.

    The Gourmet Gang was a pleasure to work with and the food was absolutely to die for! Lucy was so flexible and accommodating, especially with me changing my mind a few times! She was very quick to send updated proposals and her staff on the day of were perfect!

    I definitely recommend Gourmet Gang for catering services, the food was amazing and it was great that they were able to do our cupcakes as well as the food for dinner! I think the real value of Gourmet Gang is with the day of coordinator, we had Tiffany and she was SO accommodating and was willing to tell us what would and would not work while still staying true to the vision that we wanted for the wedding!

    We hired GG for full service catering of a party in our home, the night before our wedding. I was blown away by the quality of service and the food. We chose heavy hors d’oeuvres. All the food was delicious, all of our guests raved! They arrived a couple hours before the party, used our garage as a staging area, brought decorations, made the table and bar really pretty. I literally didn’t have to lift a finger, it was amazing. It is the best way to have a party. Once it was time for them to leave, they boxed up all the leftover food, put it in the fridge and had everything cleaned up. I turned around and it was all done, they are like little catering ninjas! We could not have been happier with our decision to use them for a party, and I can’t wait to have an excuse to do it again! The only disappointment was getting the quote originally. I felt like I had to badger them to get me a quote so I could hire them, so that made us a little uneasy in the beginning. The communication from the sales person/coordinator was just poor, in general, but the food and the rest of their team made up for it.

    Their food was great, absolutely delicious. They made sure we were able to eat and kept our bridal party fed as well. The tasting was great and well organized as well.
    However, leading up to the wedding there was poor communication. Repetitively had to ask for things like an invoice or a contract. Did not review things with us before sending out the final invoice, so there was a lot of back and forth with delays in response. Not very responsive to general questions. Waited actually over a month to get a response to a question.
    On the wedding day they were great to us as I said. But some of our guests said they were stingy with giving out food during the buffet. We had a lot of leftovers. They did do a great job with the bar.
    They also did our flowers which were beautiful. No hitches there.
    Probably would not recommend gourmet gang for a wedding caterer because of lack of responsiveness. It was an added stress during an already stressful time. Maybe they need some extra help in their wedding catering department.

    We had GG cater our wedding and the food was really delicious. They made a passed appetizer from a recipe we gave them that was pretty much spot on. However, there were several things that went wrong that I feel other brides should know about. ****Please know that i am NOT the type of person that complains or writes scathing reviews on businesses (I have never ever sent a meal back at a restaurant, I hate making "a scene" if i'm unhappy, etc.!). I usually just go right along and not raise a fuss about anything, but I feel like I have to say something about this company.

    My first issue with GG is the responsiveness or complete lack thereof. We had a fantastic wedding coordinator so she did most of the communicating with them (thank God, otherwise I might have gone off the deep end if i was doing it myself!), but she would go weeks without hearing anything back from our person at GG, and this was concerning really important things like our invoice, meeting times, etc. Our rep from GG even missed a meeting because she didn't know it was that day, after our wedding coordinator had emailed her the night before saying "See you tomorrow (Tuesday)" and the person from GG actually repsonded (shock) saying "ok sounds good!" so we KNOW she knew about it. So that meant that my fiance and I had to drive back up to Norfolk (an hour away from where we live) to attend the rescheduled meeting, so that was pretty obnoxious. Secondly, our guests only had the option of water and alcohol at the bars, after we specifically said at that meeting we wanted lemonade offered that we would provide (I bought about 15 jugs of lemonade from walmart!), and also tea provided by GG, and we found out later that only water was served!!!!!! Now half of our guests didn't drink alcohol, so their only option was WATER?! are you KIDDING ME!??! I was really embarrassed!!!!!!!!

    Our guest count came in about 15 or so under what we had budgeted for with GG, and so we thought, oh ok great, we'll just have plenty of food for everyone else. They ran out of the carved roast beef in less than an hour and I heard that "they lost a pan of beef." How do you lose a pan of beef? I heard one guest jokingly say "That's ok, I know where Mcdonald's is." Yet again, my family and I were mortified!! We were supposed to have extra food because our numbers came under, how could this have happened? My wedding coordinator mentioned to the catering manager that night about the running out of beef issue, and she didn't even apologize or try to explain what happened. The fruit & cheese display that i was told was going to be so magnificant and beautifully displayed during the cocktail hour was pretty puny looking. They also did not open up 2 lines on the buffet like we had talked about (you know, having 2 rows of people going down the line) so it took an hour and a half to get everyone served.

    In the planning process, every time we got an updated invoice something was incorrect so it was just really unnerving to never really get a grip on exactly what we were spending and where our $ was going, and I thought that was not good especially when catering is where most of your budget goes. We got the "oh it was a computer glitch, sorry about that" a few times, and also told that they got a 10% discounted rate with the rental company, which was not true in the end. They lost our credit card information to make our final payment with, and they gave us an invoice stating an amount owed that my mom had already paid! She finally got them to re-check their records and again "oh it was a glitch, sorry about that."

    Overall i just felt like the service was really not good and things constantly felt very unorganized. I'm not sure if it was just the specific catering representative we worked with, or what, because the other reviews on here are good, but overall we were NOT satisfied with GG. It was like the closer and closer we got to the wedding, and then the day of, they really did not have their act together. The food itself tasted good, but there were several things that really upset me about the way they conduct business.
