Perfect, simple and beautiful Intimate ceremony

We had a larger ceremony and reception scheduled at a different venue for the summer of 2020 but it didn't happen. Instead of waiting another year to get married, I researched alternative ways to get married during a pandemic and found the Intimate Ceremony package at The Goei Center. It was perfect! Just like an actual wedding but a lot less people and only for an hour.
Kylie was amazing! Responsive, flexible, helpful, caring, thoughtful and dedicated to make my day as perfect as it could be given the circumstances. Goei Center is a great choice for a venue!!

You can't go wrong..

We planned a Michigan wedding...from Oregon. Kylie is a dream and helped us plan from start to finish. Her attention to detail and fun personality made our planning process SO MUCH EASIER. For our wedding size, we chose the Kindel Room and it was PERFECT. Honestly, the space itself is so amazing it took minimal effort to beautify. I would absolutely recommend doing your research, but just know you can't go wrong with this space and this team!

Best Venue Ever!

Working with the Goei Center was absolutely amazing, start to finish. They were very attentive and available to answer all of my questions and meet with me anytime. We had the opportunity to work with Kylie as our Wedding Coordinator and we could not have asked for a better experience!

Absolutely Amazing

The Goei Center is not only a beautiful venue but the staff (office staff and maintenance staff) are beyond helpful, very knowledgable, and so accommodating. Working with Kylie made the wedding planning so much easier than I could've ever anticipated. Kylie listens to every detail and every insane request and can somehow envision it herself and will provide tips or just plain reassurance that it will all come together perfectly (and beautifully). Kylie is such an awesome person to work with and was always there at a drop of a hat for me (phone, email, text, in person). I'm so beyond grateful to have worked with her and the Goei staff for the most important day of my life!

Great staff and service!

We loved having our reception at the Goei Center! The staff was so friendly, helpful, flexible, and truly made the day special for us. Everything turned out so beautifully, and it was nice not to have to worry about anything. Having the two separate rooms was perfect, we were able to have cocktail hour in one and dinner and dancing in the other. I do think they are a bit on the pricy side, but with how great they are to work with and how much they do, it was worth it.

Beautiful Venue with LOTS of Charm!

The Goei Center was the perfect spot for our wedding! We had a little over 100 guests - the space didn't seem too cramped and it didn't come across as empty either. Lots of modern/industrial charm in this venue!

Wonderful Staff, Beautiful Venue

We booked the Goei Center for our wedding on March 3rd, 2019 and I honestly can't recommend the venue enough. The reason we booked it in the first place was for their beautiful building and how close it was to downtown GR. But after working with them for a little while I found out that the best part of the venue wasn't the venue itself but the people working for it! I worked with two beautiful ladies, Michaela and Kylie. Both of them answered every question I had (of which there were many!) quickly and were both extremely helpful, informative, and friendly! They were laid back but still very on top of what was going on and were always quick to help if I might need anything. On top of doing a fabulous job planning the wedding and coordinating it with me, they also did a great job helping everything run smoothly the day of as well. Overall the whole experience was amazing, mostly due to those two ladies. Thank you so much, Michaela and Kylie, and to the Goei Center for helping us have such an amazing day! ❤️

Our perfect day made a reality

Kylie and the whole team at the Goei Center went above and beyond helping us make our dream wedding come true. They were so easy to work with and assisted us in making each detailed decision about how our day would come together. The day of, they worked hard in bringing everything together so my husband and I could just enjoy it. I couldn't recommend them more- we will forever look back on our wedding day fondly :)

Awesome, would have another event here!

I actually had the pleasure of working with several different coordinators at different times throughout my wedding. Each was professional, responsive and flexible. It was comforting knowing I didn't have to worry about anything at the venue. Everything was easy, seemless and the day of the actual wedding was perfect. I'd recommend The Goei not only for their venue, but also the staff, it was a pleasure to work with them!

Outstanding!

The Goei Center was exceptional from beginning to end. From our first contact to our big day, all went smmothly. We had wonderful support and guidance all along the way. Michaela was a fabulous contact person who made us feel welcomed. She was so patient, kind, and quick at communication. This is by far the best venue I have ever been to. Everything was perfect and we were told by many guest it was best reception they had ever been to. Thank you to our wedding host and the entire staff.

Our experience with the GOEI center was amazing. Not only did the venue exceed our expectations, but so did all of the staff and wedding coordinators. They helped make our day perfect and we will remember and cherish it forever

Choosing the Goei Center as the venue for both our ceremony and reception was truly the best decision we made when it came to our wedding. Right away working with Lindsay was like working with a friend - she is so kind, understanding, thoughtful, and so so good at her job. She worked with us every step of the way, and found quick solutions to any problem that arose during the planning process. Even with her busy schedule we always felt like she truly wanted our day to be perfect. She also coordinated with our other vendors, which made life so much easier. Because of her we did not have to worry about a thing throughout the entire day of the wedding.

We really appreciated the flexibility the Goei Center offered us to suit all our needs, and Lindsay gave great advice and recommendations when needed. The entire space was beautiful and better than we even imagined. The character of the building was exactly what we were looking for. It was raw and industrial while still remaining elegant, and allowed us to incorporate personal details that were important to us.

We encourage everyone to celebrate their marriage at Goei, and really cannot recommend it enough for your wedding day!

We used the Goei Center for both our ceremony and reception and we could not be happier with our choice! Lindsay was a dream to work with and was so responsive to any questions or concerns we had. All of the staff at the Goei Center made sure that our special day went off without a hitch. They coordinated with our DJ and caterer so that our wedding day was as stress-free as it possibly could have been. It was a truly beautiful venue and we received so many compliments from our guests.

Mother of the Bride: The Goei Center was the perfect venue for our 227 guests. There was so much available space for our guests to dine, dance and visit with one another. The Goei provided two beautiful areas for guests to enjoy our wedding celebration. The staff members were responsive to every need and went out of their way to make our evening a happy amazing memory.

Where do I even begin??? I booked the Goei Center for our reception venue two years out from our wedding date and was so lucky that I got to work with Lindsay the entire time. Her quality of service and responsiveness is unmatched. As I have never planned a wedding before I had so many questions and Lindsay was there every step of the way to ensure everything was being taken care of on her end. Her positive attitude, upbeat energy & organization made it so easy to work with her. I received endless compliments on our wedding day about how much our guests loved the venue and the service. I would absolutely recommend anyone looking for a wonderful, unique venue in Grand Rapids! You will not be disappointed with Lindsay and her expertise!!

Lindsay was awesome!!!! She was able to guide us through the whole process and calmed our nerves. We had a non-traditional wedding and Lindsay treated us with professionalism and respect. The Goei Center is a unique wedding venue with lots of character! We had both our wedding ceremony & reception at the Goei Center and it was the perfect day! We received numerous compliments from our guests on how beautiful the venue was and how they loved how much space it offers. Lindsay, the coordinator, was fantastic to work with! She was easy to get ahold of, always answered all of my questions and made planning my wedding very easy! She is amazing at her job and was such a pleasure to work with! I am extremely happy that we chose to have our wedding day at the Goei Center!

I had both my ceremony and reception at the Goei Center on July 1st! The venue is beautiful and has so much character to it! We had a lot of out of town guests and they are still talking about how beautiful the wedding was! We had 300 guests and still had plenty of space! Lindsey is so helpful and so quick to respond to emails! She ensured all of the worries I had were taken care of and made sure that everything was perfect! Jane Goei is also very responsive to emails about the bar! She went above and beyond and asked for a photo of my husband and I to display on a slide show above the bar! The security staff is amazing and friendly as well! We had a ribbon wand send off and the security guard went through and helped my mom collect all of the ribbon wands that people had thrown away! I would recommend the Goei Center over and over! Such a beautiful place with amazing staff!

I had a fantastic experience working with the Goei Center. Not only is the space absolutely beautiful but Lindsay is SO on top of things! Lindsay was hands-down the most amazing wedding coordinator. She is professional, detail oriented, responsive, and an all around great person. I couldn't have hand-picked a better wedding coordinator. Despite me planning a wedding from out of state, she quickly responded to any question I had almost immediately, regardless of the time of day. Our wedding day went flawlessly and all credit goes to Lindsay.

The Goei Center was the perfect venue for our reception. From the first meeting through the last moments of our special night everyone was wonderful to work with. We felt valued and comfortable talking through any of our concerns which were quickly met with many options and solutions. Lindsay, Jane and Blake made our planning easy and smooth leading to a wonderful evening that all of our family and friends enjoyed. All of their staff on the night of were attentive and went above and beyond to ensure my husband and I had everything we needed.

We LOVED our reception at The Goei Center! The entire staff was so helpful when it came to room set up, bar services, and even who should cater. The setting was perfect, they have brick walls, and wood floors- great for dancing. Having two huge rooms where guests could dance, or enjoy conversation away from the music was amazing!

I can't say enough great things about the Goei Center. Our first tour of the venue was amazing. We visited the Cheney Place first (another GR venue that is beautiful) and we were so let down because we lost the last date available for 2017 on a Saturday. We decided to look at the Goei Center and I'm so glad that we did. It's honestly the most beautiful venue I've been to! I love the open floor plan, everything on one level, the beautiful bar, the brick walls and all of the greenery. There is a large parking lot for guests. The ceremony set up is so intimate and pretty. The staff is so amazing. Lindsay goes above and beyond as the wedding coordinator. She was so flexible which put me at ease as a bride. Everything was perfect. Our guests had a great time.

Lindsay was an amazing person to work with! Always quick to respond and always willing to help answer questions or concerns! The wedding day itself moved so smoothly and I know Lindsay had a lot to do with that as she was the wedding coordinator for The Goei Center. The Goei Center was gorgeous and the guests all loved the 2 separate rooms (cocktail hour and reception rooms). Where do I even begin? My husband Thom and I had our ceremony and reception at the Goei Center 1/7/17. From start of the wedding planning to the very end of our reception it was perfect! Lindsay and Jane made the entire process so simple with quick emails, suggestions, staying in touch with other vendors, to making sure everything was perfect the day of. The venue is absolutely stunning! The entire night we had countless guest compliment on how beautiful and elegant everything was. I could not have imagined a more perfect place for our big day! From the amazing staff to the gorgeous hard wood floors and brick walls, 10 out of 10 easily.
Thank you so much for making our dream wedding exceed any expectations. Highly recommend the Goei Center!

The Goei Center was fantastic! Lindsay was incredible friendly and professional. She was super quick to return all of my emails and treated all of my questions with importance. We were originally attracted to the Goei Center due to it's beauty and simple elegance. However upon meeting Lindsay Lieffers we knew we had much more than a beautiful venue for Jenna and Cody's wedding day. We had the true pleasure of working with Lindsay on how the entire evening would play out. She offered great ideas, was very detailed and always was gracious and kind with all of our inquiries. When the day arrived she was right there with us which offered a great sense of "calm"- she really felt like one of the family by then! I would highly recommend the Goei Center and Lindsay! Also I would be remiss if I didn't mention the great team of Christa and Brenda with Eastern Floral- they brought all of our ideas together perfectly as well as offered details that we hadn't thought about. We were pleased beyond our expectations not only with the Goei Center itself, but the team of great people that simplified everything for us!

The Goei Center was the first and only wedding venue we looked at before deciding that it was the perfect place for us to get married and host our wedding reception. Lindsay was absolutely amazing right from the beginning! She was prompt to answer all of our questions, no matter the time or day; she made sure we were completely prepared for our wedding day; and she was even there on the day of to make sure the ceremony ran smoothly as well as the reception. We had one mix up with our cake vendor and she even went out of her way to take care of that for us with no issues! She communicated with all of our vendors throughout the process, helping to make everything run so smoothly and without stress. We really appreciate all of your help Lindsay! We couldn't have asked for a better wedding coordinator to work with!

I have to mention Blake as well, because he was equally as awesome! He took over for Lindsay on the night of our wedding, and made sure everything went smoothly from there. Thank you so much, Blake!

As for the venue itself, it was beautiful! We received countless compliments from our guests on how amazing and unique the Goei Center was. The set-up of the venue from the ceremony, to the cocktail hour, to the reception dinner, was all laid out so perfectly. It was a flawless spot for our New Year's Eve wedding!

The Goei Center also hosted our bar. Jane worked with me on the menu and other bar related details, and she was great! All of the bartenders were amazing as well, and Cory especially, was exceptional! My guests loved him!

Everything about the GOEI center was absolutely perfect all the way from the look of the building to the security detail. We had plenty of space for all of our guests. The middle aged attendees loved the front room where they could talk in peace while the younger guests danced the night away. Lindsay was phenomenal to work with! She answered all of my emails/questions promptly and was organized when I wasn't. We loved our night there and so did our guests!

I had such a great experience with the Goei Center for my wedding! The staff was very professional, friendly, and really went above and beyond to make my special day perfect. Lindsay was amazing! For our wedding, we used the Goei Center for both the ceremony and reception. Lindsay was wonderful! She was always very prompt with communication and helpful in every aspect of the wedding planning process, including the wedding day. She helped us coordinate and work with our various vendors to make our day a reality. Everything went smoothly, and Lindsay was there to personally make sure everything went as we had planned. This venue was such a dream! We planned our wedding from across the country and booked the venue without having even seen it and it was PERFECT! Best decision ever. Lindsay was so responsive to all of my emails and made sure everything went so smoothly. I kept telling my husband that we definitely forgot to do something because there is no way that wedding planning is supposed to be this easy. During our wedding, we had so many of our guests comment on how in love they were with the venue and how they had wished they'd done their wedding there. Thank you Goei Center for being amazing!

The Goei center is an incredible find. Not only is the building itself gorgeous, but it comes with a creative and experienced staff, and the most exquisite florist (Eastern Floral) in town. Accessible and friendly to people of all ages, I felt that every detail was taken care of, and I as a bride was allowed to relax and enjoy my day. A fantastic venue for any occasion.

My husband and I had both our ceremony and reception at The Goei Center. It was set up absolutely beautifully and just how we had wanted it. Lindsay, the event coordinator, was great to work with - very accommodating and helpful. The flowers, which you must order through Eastern Floral which is onsite, were absolutely beautiful! We received so many compliments on our choice of venue and how beautiful everything was. We would definitely recommend The Goei Center to others!

This venue is absolutely incredible! We walked about 5 feet in to the door and fell in love! We loved everything about it and appreciated having so much space to work with for our reception.
The staff are beyond wonderful! Not only are they quick to respond and excellent at what they do, they are very supportive and genuinely interested in making sure your special day is perfect.
Our reception ran flawlessly. There were so many helping hands on deck and they all were right there to step in and do whatever they could to make sure everything went smoothly.
Not having to worry about the logistics and behind the scene details can take an incredibly amount of stress off the shoulders of the bride and groom and their families, and the Goei Center helps to make that possible. I would recommend them over and over and over again to anyone looking to host an event there. The venue is just beautiful and the staff are some of the best around!

My husband and I chose the Goei Center for our Ceremony AND Reception- we fell in love the moment we walked in the doors. We had a large wedding (293 guests) and this venue is so spacious! The Goei Center is SO unique and romantic and beautiful. We really wanted to get married somewhere that not only fit our vision but had character and charm and the Goei Center has all of that and more! The place has history with its vintage original hardwood floors and light brick walls but is modern all at the same time.
The Goei Center's prices are slightly higher than other places we looked at, but was so worth it! They also had many services that were included in the price that aided in our decision to go with them such as day of wedding coordinator! Our wedding coordinator was Lindsay and we simply cannot say enough about her. She made us feel comfortable and confident throughout our time planning for the wedding. She was always quick to respond to our questions, gave helpful advice, and even offered up helpful pep talks when I was feeling the wedding stress. Lindsay was considerate, professional, and at the same time felt like a trusted friend. She helped us stay organized and we loved working with her.
All of our chairs and tables were included in our venue fee which was very helpful. They also handled all of our set up before the wedding for the ceremony and reception, and then took it all down and cleaned up afterward! I can not say how helpful and stress reducing this was for us! It was nice to not have to rely on family or others to help us set up and at the end of the night, we packed up our gifts and belongings and the Goei Center handled all the clean up and take down! It was so appreciated.

Not only is the Goei Center a beautiful venue for reception but their staff are incredible. Their event coordinator, Lindsay Lieffers was extremely accommodating and helpful throughout thr whole planning process. Whether it was skyping with me since I lived out of state or helping with difficult vendors, I knew I could always count on her for a quick response. The staff was also very helpful the day of the wedding as well. They had multiole prople at the event that did a lot of behind the scenes work so I could just enjoy my day. While there were a few things I wish I did differently for my wedding, using the Goei Center was not one of them. I would highly recommend using this venue for any event!

We had our ceremony and reception at The Goei Center on 09.05.15. It was a dream. Lindsay, the wedding coordinator is so good at what she does. We reached out to The Goei Center more than a year in advanced. With that being said, there was tons of e-mail communication back and forth. Lindsay was not only prompt, but always friendly and professional. She really worked with us in bringing our vision to life. Any kinds words for her would never do enough justice.
Fast forward to the day of the wedding, Lindsay was so supportive and helpful. I remember her starting to cry before I walked down the aisle and it just made me realize that not only was she our wedding coordinator, she was our friend. I consider myself to be super detailed oriented and with Lindsay, I met my match. All in all, we couldn't be happier with our wedding at Goei.

The coordinator, Lindsey, was amazing! So sweet and such a big help. She made everything go seamless. She was also very reponsive to emails and questions. When we walked in to Goei shortly after being engaged we immediately knew it was perfect for us. It offered a space that has historical significance for Grand Rapids and is also quite beautiful. There was a separate area for us to have a significant cocktail hour before moving into the dining/dancing area. Lindsay was a pleasure to work with, she accommodated all of our requests and worked closely with Eastern Floral to make sure the night went off without a hitch. Throughout the planning process Lindsay kept in touch and for a bride planning a wedding while living in another state it was great that Lindsay was quick with email responses. My mom did much of the planning and she stopped by Goei quite a few times and was always met with a smile by Lindsay and quick answers to her questions. The rest of the staff from security to Goei event coordinators there during the night were incredible professionals and kept things on track. I would highly recommend Goei to anyone looking for an event space and would highly recommend Lindsay! My husband and I walked into the cocktail hour at Goei and said to each other - this is perfect, it was exactly how we had hoped it would be and we had the best night of our lives. Thanks Lindsay!

Event space was large and unique. The most compliments that I got on my wedding was the event space l chose. It allowed for ceremony to flow into a cocktail space which flowed into a large reception area. The best part, no public disruptions. Goei was perfect.

My daughter's wedding was on New Year's Eve 2014. We wanted a venue where the wedding ceremony and the reception could be at one place just in case a Michigan Winter Storm hit. We looked at several venues, but kept comparing everything to The Goei Center. So, we booked it and we are so glad we did! The old factory atmosphere mixed with elegant chandeliers and glittering table decor made for a stunning New Years Eve party atmosphere. The wedding coordinator, Lindsay was a dream to work with, walking us through every step of the planning . We would highly recommend The Goei Center for any event or wedding. We used Goei Center for my daughter's reception. Since it is difficult to get beautiful outdoor photos in Michigan in March, it was great to have the exposed brick, plants, flowers, and great decor to use for their wedding party photos. Numerous guests commented on the beautiful and spacious venue as well. We would recommend this venue for weddings or corporate events.

My husband and I couldn't have picked a better place for our wedding reception! We looked at multiple reception venues and this was the most beautiful and spacious. We had about 200 guests and there was plenty of room to move around without feeling clustered. One of the biggest perks about choosing the Goei Center is being able to work with Kylie. She was very professional, responsive, and was more than willing to help make our special day perfect. Another thing that we liked about this venue is its natural beauty. The wood floors, brick walls, and flower arrangements (that are already a part of the area) make this place truly unique.

This is such a georgus wedding venue! It worked really well for us because we were able to hold the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception all in one space. Kylie was wonderful to work with and was alway quick to respond to my emails and questions. I was an out of state bride and had no trouble planning here from far away. One recommendation to other brides; their floor is very dirty as it is a functioning flower business. I didn't know this and right before the ceremony I looked down to find the train of my dress trashed!!! We were able to pin the dress so it didn't show but had I know I would have been more careful with the train! Other than that, a fantastic experience!!

We had our wedding at the Goei Center on 9-3-11. It was perfect! We loved working with Kylie! She made everything very easy for us! She was on top of everything and was very quick to respond to any of our questions or concerns. The space is gorgeous and perfect for anyone looking to have their reception in a unique space. There was plenty of room for our guest to mingle. Our guests were blown away and impressed with this venue. We have received so many compliments! Eastern Floral owns this space which was perfect for us because we kept our decorations simple. They have all their seasonal floral on display throughout the front room. The chairs are amazing! They offer black chiavari chairs. The other places we looked at would charge you an additional fee for these chairs. They were comfortable and no need for chair covers. I would work with the Goei Center again in the future for any special event!

The Goei Center was the perfect venue for my wedding! We loved everything about it and so did our guests! The decor inside is already beautifully decorated by Eastern Floral (they own it) so you save a ton of money on buying decor. The black chairs are great too (you definitely don't want to put chair covers over them!) Our guests raved about how amazing the venue was and that they had never seen anything like it! Kylie, the event coordinator was awesome to work with, making our wedding day so easy and great. Kylie paid great attention to detail and helped us in every way. We used West Michigan Caterer (you can pick from a list of diff. caterers) and they were great as well...we highly recommend them for the bar too! Overall, The Goei Center made our wedding an AMAZING experience and I would highly recommend them to every bride to be out there!

Very happy with everyone at the Goei Center. We had started working with Lindsay, but she left before our wedding. We then continued to work with Kylie, and the transition between them as coordinators was seamless. I always felt very well taken care of by each of them. They were both very responsive and helped our day go smoothly. They worked great with the caterer and E.Floral, to make sure the tables and centerpieces were ready to go and set up by the time we got there at 1PM, so we were able to do our own DIY set up.
I also worked with Jane and Michaela to set up our bar, we selected specific amounts of alcohol, instead of doing a package. They were very understanding of when I made changes. In the beginning of my planning I changed things pretty often, and we emailed back and forth. They were always willing to help and gave me a great deal over all. The end amounts of alcohol turned out to be perfect!!! (130 people: 1 keg domestic, 1/2 keg Founders, 180 Liquor drinks, 24 bottles of wine, and unlimited soda).

I had my wedding at The Goei Center on September 30, and it was absolutely amazing! Lindsay, the coordinator, was on top of things from the moment I visited the venue for the first time. She always had answers to all of our questions, gave us multiple options in many scenarios, and made sure we felt at ease during the entire process! Her organization, responsiveness, upbeat attitude, and eye for detail really ensured we had the best day.

I loved the fact that there were two separate spaces for the ceremony and reception, a beautiful garden area, a koi pond, and beautiful details throughout the entire venue. I fell in love with the aesthetic the moment I walked in. I received so many compliments from friends and family about the venue about how elegant and stunning it was - and I would have to agree!

I am so thankful I was able to have my wedding at The Goei Center, and I would absolutely recommend it to other couples looking to find their perfect place to say I do!

The Goei Center was an amazing place to have our wedding! Lindsay was great to work with. She always answered emails very timely and even let us know before a vacation (months before our wedding) she would be gone. Everything at the Goei went perfect. Working with Lindsay made wedding planning easy. I was a little nervous about not being able to set up until the day of (which meant I wouldn't be there), but with the help of friends and the amazing staff everything turned out exactly as I pictured it. The large space was great, as no one felt cramped and so many guests complimented us on the fact it was the coolest venue they had ever been too. If I was to do it again, I would have it at the Goei. I have nothing but good things to say. The night went very smoothly and if there was an issue or a question the staff handled it without letting me or my husband know (even though I don't think there was).

Not only is The Goei Center stunning, the staff was responsive, flexible and always willing to listen/offer their assistance. They go step by step with you to make your event as special/perfect as can be. I 100% would recommend this site for your event and would host another event of my own there in the future.

I had my wedding reception at the Goei Center two weeks ago. We had about 210 guests and the venue was the perfect size. Lindsay was wonderful to work with. She was quick on answering any questions we had and when we wanted to make changes, she was very flexible. Lindsay was eager to work directly with the vendors that we used so that I didn't have to be the middle person which was wonderful! The staff that was there the night of the reception were also great and made sure that everything went smoothly so I didn't have to worry about a thing. I would definitely recommend this venue!

The Goei Center was such a wonderful venue for our ceremony and reception. It was exactly what I was looking for in an urban loft style venue. The space is huge and it perfectly accommodated our 175 guests and easily could have held many more. We loved that we were able to utilize the full space, the one room for the ceremony, bar and lounging, and the other room for the reception. The space also came with a great green room for the bridal party to store things in and utilize throughout the evening. We are so pleased with our decision to get married here and can't imagine getting married anywhere else. It may be helpful to know that this venue requires flowers and candles be purchased by the sister company, Eastern Floral, who while pricey, we also enjoyed our experience with and enjoyed knowing that they were familiar with the space and would set up flowers just how we wanted.

This venue is pricey but it was appreciated that there were affordable bar and food service providers that are preferred with the space which helped us manage costs. There are a lot of added fees for the add-ons (hanging of globe lights, hanging of lanterns, audio visual equipment, etc. ) This space has a day of host but does not include a day of coordinator so it is necessary to have your own set up crew and ideally a point person (master/mistress of ceremonies) to make sure things are running smoothly day of. Lastly, our families were initially deterred by the location and outside of the building seeming bland but don’t let that scare you away. It is such an awesome space and is so beautiful inside. We had no issues with safety the night of our wedding and no complaints from guests. The venue provides a security guard as well. There is also plenty of parking (up to about 175 between front and back lot) so folks don't have to park on the street. I received multiple compliments on the venue and many people said it was the coolest space they have ever been to for a wedding.

Just had my reception and ceremony here, all in one spot on Oct.1 and I couldn't have been happier. It's a huge facility and what a beautiful place to have all of your guests spread out and enjoy all the lovely decor and the flowers that are always all over the place! Kylie and all the staff at Goei are fantastic to work with, very accommodating, and eastern floral does an incredible job with flowers, too. I think the Goei is the coolest venue in G.R. to get married- it has so much character with its creaky wood floors and the decor and vases all over the showroom- just an all-around perfect wedding. they did so well! I strongly recommend checking it out.

We loved hosting our wedding reception at the Goei Center. The wedding coordinator, Lindsay, was super easy to work with and made our planning a breeze. She paid close attention to detail, was responsive to emails and went the extra mile to assure we were satisfied. The venue was stunning the night of our wedding, and we got so many compliments from our guests. If I could do it all over again, I wouldn't change a thing. Definitely choose the Goei Center if you're looking for a venue that's fun and unique but still classy.

We had our wedding at the Goei Center and it was FANTASTIC! Lindsay, the event coordinator, was absolutely amazing to work with. She was timely in all of her responses, and always willing to go above and beyond to answer any questions or concerns that I had. We had both our ceremony and reception at the Goei Center and it turned out absolutely perfect. We received so many compliments from our guests on the timeliness of the whole day (not having several hours in between the ceremony/reception), and just how cool of a venue this was. My only critique is the cost. This is not something that Lindsay the event coordinator can control, but after speaking with other brides in the Grand Rapids area, I know that we paid quite a bit more than the others. However, you get what you pay for and our wedding was picture perfect. I would recommend the Goei Center 100 times over and over again!

Everything about this venue was great! Lindsay went above and beyond to help make our day the best that it could be. The only thing I comment on is the cost, but honestly who doesn't! Again, definitely will be recommending this venue to anyone.

When Doug and I were looking for a venue for our wedding we knew we wanted something unique. When we came across the Goei Center (it was actually suggested we check it out by a friend of the family who was also getting married there this year) I fell in love and actually changed our initial wedding date in order to be able to use their facilities. As previously mentioned, the rental rate was a little high but was overall a pretty decent value as the price included the tables, the incredible chairs and loads and loads of character (not to mention with all the art and floral arrangements on display there was little need for decoration in the ceremony/cocktail area). The space is absolutely beautiful with a modern vide .... I can't even begin to count how many compliments we had on our choice in venues. We were locked into using Eastern Floral for our flowers/centerpieces but were very happy with their work. We also had to select a caterer from a list of preferred vendors provided by the Goei Center. For me this was actually a blessing in disguise as too many options can be a little much for my indecisive nature. Another major upside to choosing the Goei Center .... the facility director Kylie! I can't even begin to describe how helpful she was, not only throughout the entire planning process but the day of the wedding as well. Knowing she was going to be there on our big day put me completely at ease and allowed me to sit back and enjoy the ride!
