We are so happy we chose to have our wedding at City View Loft! The space is beautiful and the staff were great to work with--they were on top of everything! The food from LM Catering was also delicious! We were initially a bit nervous since we wouldn't have the option of choosing our own caterer, but it made the planning process so much simpler and I still think about the hangar steak hors d'oeuvre! Seriously. We loved that CVL had all the furniture we were going to need, that they were BYOB, but also provided bartenders, and that they handled all the place-settings and linens. It was an amazing day thanks to an amazing venue! -

Lesley abs City View were perfect! I couldn’t ask for anything more. The venue was beautiful, Lesley was so helpful and didn’t miss a single detail. The staff was very attentive, and everyone raved about the food! We had the hanger steak, which was so tender, and the roasted chicken. People were talking about the chicken for days to come. -

As a COVID wedding couple, no part of the wedding planning process was easy until we decided to book with City View Loft and LM Catering. Unfortunately our original venue did not work out, so we ended up looking for a new venue 2 months out from our wedding. We worked with Jamie and she was fantastic in every way possible. She was always responsive, patient with our endless questions, upbeat, and had us feeling so good about them from the beginning that we booked without even seeing the venue in person. Jamie and the beautiful CVL finally got us excited about our wedding after so many obstacles we had to overcome, and it ended up being a truly perfect day.
Beautiful venue, unbeatable view, amazing food, and great staff to work with. -

We had our wedding at City View Loft in August 2020 and we could not recommend the venue more! Because of the pandemic, we had to make many changes but working with Jamie made everything easy and stress free. She was extremely patient and worked with us as we went back and forth trying to make decisions throughout the months leading up to August. She responded quickly to all our questions and always had a bright and positive attitude, which we really appreciated during that time. Jamie was even able to allow us to come the day before to decorate since there were no events going on. Working with Jamie made the venue that much more special to us!
The venue itself is beautiful. All the photos came out stunning and beautiful. We had our ceremony and cocktail hour downstairs in Kitchen Chicago and dinner upstairs. Both areas are beautiful and very photogenic. The view of the city from the upstairs windows is breathtaking and a perfect backdrop for photos. The food was amazing as well. Our friends still talk about how the food was so delicious and a few of our friends have even tried to recreate the salad. The cake was done by Sophie at Vanille. She was amazing to work with as well. We walked into our consultation completely clueless and Sophie guided us to our dream cake! It was beautiful!
Overall we're so happy we went with City View Lofts! We appreciated the professionalism and positive attitude of every staff and vendor that served us. It was not the wedding we originally envisioned when we booked the venue last year (pre-pandemic), but it was better than we could have imagined and turned out to be a memorable day we will never forget.
We're so grateful to CVL, all of their staff, and the owners for working with us and being flexible during the pandemic to make this all possible and done safely. We've heard so many awful stories of friends being swindled out of their deposits and/or being strong-armed by the venues they've booked with. If you're cautious about booking with a vendor due to trust, please know that Jamie and CVL will take care of you and will work with you as they've done with us. -

If you are trying to decide between another venue and City View Loft, PLEASE pick City View Loft!! You will thank yourself for years to come, and they will make your wedding day absolutely PERFECT!
My wife and I had looked around the city at 5 other venues. We considered all of them but kept coming back to City View Loft (CVL). The space, THAT VIEW, the package options, value, and magical aura of the venue just kept pulling us back to them. I will be thankful for the rest of my life that we chose them! Jamie and her team, I can't begin to explain what they did for us, and how we will remember them forever!
Even if none of the other factors had sold us on the venue, Jamie, the lead for CVL, was the icing on the cake! We knew from the moment we met her, that she was going to make the difference!! She brought experience, care, and a sense of calm to our wedding planning process. Jamie was never a salesperson or pitch-man. Throughout the entire 16 months, she gave us honest and direct advice about every decision, never once sold us on things we didn't want, and guided us through the whole process. She was beyond a point person for a venue. She treated us like human beings and friends, rather than clients.
Then there is the venue itself! What can we say, we are simply speechless! The venue, a beautiful space, with vaulted cathedral ceilings in the main hall, separated bridal and groom suites, and a separate hall for the reception, was an absolute stunner of a venue for our wedding! CVL gives you the chance to take the space and truly make it your own. They offer altars and arches, tables and chairs, but give you the freedom to do what you like with the space! When we had ideas about how we wanted to decorate the venue, and how we wanted things arranged and organized, the only thing we heard from them was "we can do that". I can't explain to you how much this meant to us, to have a venue completely willing to make your day your way. It took away so much stress and worry, and instead let us focus on other pressing matters!
The team at CVL was amazing!! During the entire process of the wedding day itself, I noticed Jamie and her team working diligently to make our wedding day run like clockwork. Whether it was Jamie rolling up and moving rugs from our altar herself, to her team turning the main hall from a wedding to a cocktail lounge in a matter of 5 minutes, to the caterers personally introducing themselves to my bride and I and telling us if we needed ANYTHING to simply flag them down, we could not be more impressed with the work they did. The stress this team has to carry on their shoulders from the constant bombardment of questions, requests, demands, from the couple, bridal party, family, and other guests, must be absolutely overwhelming. Yet I saw nothing but grace, composure, and smiles from this incredibly organized, friendly, and hard-working team.
I could go on for hours about City View Loft and the job they did for us. My wife and I could not be happier that we chose City View Loft, and we will forever be grateful that we did choose them over all of the other venues in Chicago. If you choose CVL, I can reassure you that you will NOT be disappointed in your decision. Instead, you will be forever filled with bliss for making the best decision of your life.
To Jamie and all of the CVL team, we can't thank you enough for giving us the best day of our lives! From the bottom of our hearts, THANK YOU!!! -

We just had our wedding at City View Loft on July 12th! It was truly, the most beautiful venue. The second Brett and I walked in, we KNEW we had to have our wedding there. We worked with Jamie who answered any and every question we had. She was truly AMAZING and made us feel comfortable with everything. Our guests are STILL talking about the venue and the food from LM Catering. It was DELICIOUS! The chicken was so moist and tender, the steak was amazing and the veggie choice was delicious! This venue is romantic and beautiful and you can decorate to make it yours! I would recommend City View to everyone! Thank you Jamie, LM Catering, and City View for giving us the wedding of our dreams! -

Perfect Venue!
We booked City View Loft for our wedding in May 2019 and we couldn't have made a better choice. From the start of our search, we were looking for a rustic, loft style space that felt romantic and unique. We instantly fell in love with City View Loft! It was the PERFECT venue - all of our family and friends are still complimenting the staff, the food, and the style of the venue overall. The exposed brick, unique loft style, and the skyline view was breathtaking enough to serve as majority of our decor. The venue is enough! It is such a great option to have the ceremony space separate from the reception space to make the flow of events seamless. CVL also provides an online portal to help visualize the set up of the event, which was very helpful in settling my nerves about everything being where it should be! The BYOB policy is also a huge cost saver for those who are on a budget. The quality service, AMAZING food, and everything in between was well worth the affordable price - especially when considering other venue prices in the Chicago area! You won't regret booking City View Loft for any event!
Jamie was amazing to work with - she made herself available for any questions, was open to being flexible to our schedule, very communicative, and always made us feel comfortable. Thank you for making our special day one to remember! -

As soon as we stepped into City View during our viewing, we immediately knew that this was the venue we wanted. There's two absolutely gorgeous spaces we used for our ceremony and cocktail hour and then dinner and reception. The fairy lights behind us during our ceremony were a hit with guests, nearly everyone took beautiful photos of themselves in front of them. City View is a simple, not too rustic space perfect for couples who don't want to do much in terms of decor but it also offers the opportunity to bring in great decor without the space feeling overwhelmed. The team with City View was also amazing. We had the pleasure of working with both Gabi and Lorraine. We worked with Gabi up until about a month before our wedding and Lorraine took over after that. Gabi was phenomenal, she offered us great recommendations and opinions when we asked about anything and really guided us into making the decisions that would be best for what we wanted. It's clear that she has a lot of experience working in the space and has a knack for understanding what a couple is looking for. The transition over to Lorraine was seamless. We did not have to answer any questions or provide any more information as Lorraine was up to speed immediately. She made sure that all of the work we put in for almost a year was manifested the day of our wedding. Having someone there day off was such a relief as my husband and I were able to enjoy our day without managing anything day off. Both Gabi and Lorraine were huge assets into making sure our wedding was exactly what we needed and nothing, and I mean absolutely nothing, went wrong day off, which we were more than prepared for. It was perfect thanks to them. -

The venue itself exceeded all expectations and looked prettier than I imagined on our wedding day. Having the two spaces is such an awesome feature and a nice way to split up the night. The food was incredible! I inhaled my risotto and have had numerous people tell us it's some of the best wedding food they ever had.
We worked with Jamie for most of the time and she was a delight to work with! So helpful in the planning process and really kept us on track. Gabby was our day-of contact and she was so wonderful! She seemed to anticipate everything we needed right before we knew we needed it and even run out to get more whiskey for us when our crazy guests drank it all. The staff in general was really phenomenal keeping people fed, hydrated, and safe throughout the night. It was perfect! -

From the first visit to see the space to our wedding day, Jamie was absolutely wonderful to work with. She was quick to respond to any questions we had and was very accommodating throughout the process. The space is absolutely gorgeous and didn’t require any additional decoration which was great for our budget. The day itself went off without the hitch and the staff was attentive, professional and fun. We received many compliments on the appetizers and food, and the skyline view was incredible all night. If you’re looking for that elusive industrial but rustic vibe and don’t want to break the bank, go with City View! You won’t regret it. -

The venue itself is spectacular and the staff is even better. We felt really well taken care of and would choose City View Loft again and again. The food (LM catering) was better than I could have imagined, everyone is still telling us how great the food was. I will recommend this venue to anyone I know getting married.

City View Loft (CVL) was our dream wedding venue. We held our ceremony and cocktail hour downstairs at Kitchen Chicago and the reception was upstairs at CVL. It’s such a gorgeous venue. LM Catering is the catering company that serves CVL. The food was delicious and we received so many compliments on the passed hors d’oeuvres. The only negative thing we have to say is the event manager changed four times within a year and a half. It might be helpful to hire a day-of-coordinator if you have your wedding at CVL. We highly recommend CVL for your event! -

In 2019 when my husband and I saw this place we knew we wanted it to be our venue. We had to postpone the date twice, but ultimately it was just what we thought. Jaime and Lexi were very helpful. The food was amazing and everything did work out. There was a parking lot that was not there when we went to view the venue in 2019 that I would have loved to have been updated on for invitation purposes, but otherwise still very happy we chose this venue.
