Joanna did the florals for our wedding and she absolutely nailed it. Even from our first meeting, Joanna was full of creative ideas about how to make the most out of our wedding budget and what florals would make the most impact. She listened to what we wanted and really brought out the organic elegance look that we wanted to achieve. Her selection of florals is creative and unique and nothing about the arrangements she created was cookie cutter. Joanna herself is the most lovely human and an absolute joy to work with. Joanna at the Flower Mill is an incredible and inspiring florist. Her zest for life makes you excited when you first meet her. Two words to describe Joanna would be one a kind and creative. She is not afraid to think outside the box to bring you stunning and never seen before floral arrangements. I loved working with Joanna every second because she just didn’t go off of color schemes, she went off of words on how we described what we wanted our wedding to feel like, textures of greenery and flowers, tones and shades to warmth and coolness of flowers. Beautiful Floral Arrangements
As all brides do, I had a particular look I was going for (romantic, classic, and lots of greens). The flowers were really an important part of the overall style of the wedding. After sharing different inspo pictures, the Flower Mill really captured exactly what I was looking for. I really liked how they are flexible with your ideas and budget. Throughout the whole process, I never felt worried and communication was very clear. Overall, the Flower Mill was so kind and such a pleasure to work with.

Joanna is Amazing!
There are so many good things to say about Joanna Hall and the Flower Mill. Firstly, she is just an AWESOME human being. She is very down to earth and so passionate about her work. To be honest, flowers for my wedding were not hugely important to me and I could not justify spending tons of money on this aspect of my wedding. After having my initial consultation with Joanna where I brought my mom, grandmother, and sister along, I left feeling completely different and excited about my flowers! Who knew there were so many shades of ivory roses! Joanna was also excellent in listening to what I really wanted despite the many opinions and ideas flying around during our consultation.
Joanna completely understood my simple vision and promised to deliver exactly what we discussed. I was extremely nervous for my tall centerpieces to come out looking like a mushroom top but Joanna assured me that they would be natural looking! She completely delivered. She was also very respectful of my budget and my ideas for cost saving. (I added small glass vases on some longer reception tables and repurposed the bridesmaids bouquets after the ceremony.)
On the day of my wedding, she had another wedding so her coworkers (her parents!) made the deliveries to the bridal suite and reception. They were so accommodating and did a fantastic job.
As far as planning, Joanna will write up a proposal, take a small deposit and schedule a few other deposits to be made throughout your wedding planning year (+/-). She is always available for questions or ideas.
I am so glad I found Joanna and the Flower Mill and look forward to using their floral services for years to come.

Working with Joanna and her team at The Flower Mill was an absolute dream! From our first meeting to our final phone call, any and all questions I had were answered. Joanna was able to ease my worries and concerns about flower types and colors matching. She was truly able to create exactly what I was looking for. Our centerpieces were beautiful and had the romantic look I was hoping for, the flower arrangements on the trellis were perfect for our outdoor ceremony and had just the right amount of color. Absolutely Wonderful!!
We went into the Flower Mill to get flowers for our wedding. We initially didn't have many opinions and were not particularly excited, as flowers aren't at all our thing, and we wanted to take a kind of minimalistic approach. Joanna's enthusiasm was incredibly contagious, and it was a joy to work with her. We were amazed with how much we absolutely loved the arrangements she made for the centerpieces, the arbor/archway, and the bouquets. She clearly took every aspect of our consultation into consideration and managed to combine all of our wishes into flowers that were incredibly beautiful, and that we wish we could keep forever! Part of what impressed me was that she found flowers that matched our hard-to-find-in-nature color scheme (light blue, maroon, and ivory), which were the perfect addition to our backyard/tent setup. I would definitely go back to The Flower Mill for another event!

Joanna and her crew at the flower mill are absolutely amazing! The flowers for our beach wedding in September were stunning! My husband and I could not be happier with how everything turned out. Joanna worked very closely with us to make sure our flowers worked with our color scheme as well as within our budget. Their talent definitely shows through their work. Joanna made beautiful personal flower arrangements for our multi-colored, Mexican-themed wedding. She was flexible working within our budget and easy to work with. I didn't have many flower requests, but she was able to get marigolds to match our theme even though she warned us that they may not be available. I got so many complements on my bouquet and flower headband throughout the day! I would definitely recommend The Flower Mill!

Joanna at the Flower Mill was AMAZING the whole time while planning!! She really loves what she does and you can definitely tell in her work. We had a couple of meetings and leading up to my big day, i wasn't sure what type of flowers we were going to have. When I saw my flowers on our day, my mouth dropped!! The flowers were beyond beautiful and EXACTLY what I pictured when telling her what I liked and didn't like. It was all so amazing!

I came to her with a couple different visions and she worked with me to narrow my focus and created the most beautiful arrangements. I really appreciated that Joanna never pressured me. She would ask questions to find out more about my vision and she would use her expertise to make it happen.

I just got married this past October, and there was no hesitation when I needed to pick a florist! Joanna always does absolutely amazing work, but I was 100% speechless when she delivered the flowers for my wedding! My bouquet was super full and exactly what I imagined, all of my girls loved their bouquets, and my guests could not stop talking about how stunning the centerpieces were! I knew i was going to choose the flower mill for my wedding day wayyy before i even got engaged. I’ve been getting flowers from Joanna and her team for years and they are always stunning. Joanna truly has a gift when it comes to designing and creating amazing florals. She wasn’t by far my favorite vendor to work with through the entire wedding process. She’s clear and concise, meets with you in person well before your big day so that details are not lingering last minute. I love flowers. But I really only love specific flowers and I was kind of nervous my simple taste wouldn’t translate into pretty wedding flowers. Awesome florist! I loved working with Joanna. Her enthusiasm for her work, kind demeanor, and eye for design made this an easy process. Met with some other florists before finding the Flower Mill and she was much more flexible, intuitive to my desires and style, and affordable than other florists. I never felt like she was pushing her own agenda or style onto me which I loved! The Flower Mill even delivered flowers to my venue which was a little over an hour away, and made it with time to spare despite hitting traffic on the way up! Would highly recommend to anyone!

Working with the flower mill was one of the best parts of wedding planning. Joanna is so responsive and such a pleasure to work with. She really got the vibe of our wedding after our initial meeting and after seeing the end results she really knocked it out of the park. I had the lushest, best smelling, most amazing bouquet I could have dreamed of. She puts together an inspiration board for each couple before the wedding to review and helps to teach less knowledgeable brides, like myself, about the different kinds of flowers. She was really flexible when we kept changing small details like the number of grandparent corsages or the amount of flower girl baskets we needed. Delivery was on time and even though there was a small mix up and we were in need of one more corsage, Joanna personally delivered an extra corsage well before the time of the ceremony. I could not recommend using the flower mill for your wedding more!

I went to Joanne knowing nothing about flowers for my wedding. I showed up with these gold antique lanterns I wanted as centerpieces, but all I could really tell her is was that I wanted something unique and colors and textures that I was drawn to. I was totally out of my comfort zone and that instantly went away when I walked into her shop. From day one she was so patient, kind, understanding, and totally willing to work within our budget. The process was pretty amazing, actually. I can't praise the Flower Mill enough for the spectacular work they did for my wedding. Joanna took my ideas and had some brilliant ideas of her own and the end result was absolutely stunning. Each bouquet, centerpiece, and other arrangements were bright, fresh, and well put together. I called her 5 days before my wedding and asked her if she could add another center piece in because i miss counted and she did with no issue! They listened to everything i was interested in and made everything custom, I cried when they delivered the flowers they exceeded my expectations. From the first meeting I had with Joanna, I knew she was the perfect fit for me. She sat and discussed all of my options for bouquets, centerpieces, and even helped design a miniature version of my bouquet for my 3 year old daughter. The flowers were stunning and so affordable. She made sure to come up with lots of inspiration pictures so that each time we met, we both had a great understanding of the product she was creating. Their creativity and stunning high quality flowers are a one in a million when compared to other local florists. The care and attention to detail is apparent in every step of the process. Joanna is a genius. No, she's more than that...she's magic! She took a very nontraditional theme of a superhero wedding and created beautiful and unique arrangements that blew everyone away! I am still blown away by her process--sitting down with her, going through photos, and somehow she managed to figure out exactly the look I wanted from my crazy brain! I don't know how she does it, but if you are looking for someone to make your floral vision come to life then you need to visit the Flower Mill! What I loved about the Flower Mill is I am admittedly not a "flower person". I am clueless about species and seasons, and frankly, didn't want to spend a lot of money on something that won't last forever. That's the attitude I brought to the Flower Mill, and Joanna figured me out right away. After an initial consultation where we chatted about colors and themes, I came back a few weeks later and she had a whole pinterest-style album just for me. Joanna went through all the photos and took notes on all my comments (and I had a LOT of comments, both positive and negative), She also came up with an estimate that was right within my budget. The bouquets and boutonnières arrived promptly on my wedding day and they took my breath away.
I really felt like Joanna took the time to picture my wedding and create bouquets that matched. The extra appointment where we go through sample photos showed how much thought she puts in to her clients. While I will never be able to remember which flowers she used, the combination of colors and texture--with none of that "baby's breath" filler-- completed the "look" of my wedding. I would use the Flower Mill again in a heartbeat.

Joanna at The Flower Mill did a FABULOUS job making our wedding day absolutely beautiful. She was so flexible all throughout the planning process, accommodating every request and change along the way. The bride and bridesmaid bouquets turned out perfectly - I simply told her the color scheme and let her choose flowers that were in season and went well together. Our mothers and fathers loved the corsage/boutonnieres and everyone loved how they all coordinated together so nicely. For the centerpieces, we decided to paint wine bottles and have a couple of gerber daisies placed in each. Joanna was great about building the centerpieces - all we had to do was drop off the bottles and she took care of the rest, even delivering the finished bottles to our venue! We couldn't be happier with the service and value we received with The Flower Mill and we DEFINITELY recommend for any event!! Wonderful job!! Thank you!

Joanna (the owner and floral designer) at the Flower Mill was absolutely delightful to work with. She somehow was able to translate my confused, rambling descriptions of my ideas into gorgeous, artistic flowers that perfectly complemented the feel my fiance and I were trying to achieve for our wedding day. Working with Joanna was great! We had planned on using a flower service through our venue, but it ended up closing before our ceremony. Joanna really came through for us with somewhat short notice. She worked with us to stay within our budget, find local seasonal flowers, and sort through our confusing lack of direction. My husband and I had only very vague ideas about what we wanted in terms of flowers, and Joanna was really helpful, and patient with us. Our flowers turned out beautiful, and somehow she managed to keep them nice looking despite the unseasonably hot day in May that our wedding ended up being on. I gave her a few odd requests, which in my head didn't really seem to go together, but Joanna was able to make some of the most beautiful bouquets for me and my girls. We used the Flower Mill for our 8.2.14 wedding, and couldn't have been more pleased! Joanna worked with me, using inspiration boards, my input, and her expertise, to create beautiful bouquets for me and my bridesmaids that were in keeping with the general feel of the wedding/what I had asked for, and stayed within our budget . It was truly beautiful!
She created a flower crown both for me and my flower girl, both of which were beyond perfect. She worked with silk and fresh flowers, and was equally skilled with both. She even was able to make a perfectly fitting eccentric hair comb with silk flowers and feathers for my very "outgoing" mother, who had a difficult time describing what she wanted. Nevertheless, Joanna was able to construct the perfect piece.
Couldn't recommend this shop enough. On top of the positive results, the shop itself is easy to find, centrally located in downtown Lowell so parking is easily found, clean, fun, and bright!

Working with Joanna Hall from The Flower Mill in downtown Lowell was such a wonderful experience. We hired Joanna based on a rave review from close friends of ours that got married the previous year. They had told us she was the best vendor they had hired and they were right! Joanna has an amazing vision when it comes to flowers. When you sit down with her to discuss your wedding needs her passion for her job is evident. I was the type of bride that really didn't know all that much about flowers and I wasn't really sure exactly what I wanted. Joanna patiently guided me in finding the perfect mix of flowers. We had a tight budget for flowers and we made our own centerpieces. Joanna did amazing work with a $1,000 budget. It was impressive. On the day of the wedding her team delivered the flowers to my house and set-up the other flowers at our venue. When the team walked in with the flowers I was blown away! Joanna was absolutely amazing! She really took the time to sit with me and talk about my vision for the wedding and what I liked/did not like in florals. If you go with any other florist for your wedding, you are just not getting the best. I was floored by how beautiful my wedding florals were!

Joanna worked with our budget, and she did not push us to get into anything else other than what we wanted for our wedding. She worked with us to make sure what we had in mind could actually be made real. We loved the fact that she was flexible, and very courteous. Joanna was very welcoming, and above all she kept in contact right up until the wedding. The flowers were delivered on time, the bridemaids flowers, as well as the Brides floral arrangements look well groomed and very inviting. Our reception hall looked wonderfully prepared, and amazingly well put together. I would recommend Joanna to anyone needing help with floral arrangements. Joanna, you Rock!

I whole-heartedly recommend the Flower Mill for any floral needs! Joanna provided the most beautiful flowers for my wedding. The bouquets, the arrangements, the boutonnieres were all beyond perfect. She customized the containers we chose to match the wedding colors, and helped to decorate the arbor we were married under. So many people at the wedding commented on the quality of the flowers and the design.
Leading up to the wedding I met with Joanna twice (maybe three times) to look through images of flowers and containers so that she could get a sense for the wedding atmosphere would be and what my personal tastes were. She really listened carefully and lent her advice when asked. I felt like she understood my style. Overall, I couldn't have been happier with the flowers or the service.

When my fiance and I first met with the owner we had a starting point of what we were looking for. She listened and gave good suggestions to improve the visual appeal. We came back a second time to confirm what we wanted with pictures she had put together for us to decide what looked best. What she had put together was exactly along the lines of what we had asked for with little touches that went the extra mile and added to the elegance. About a week before the wedding I decided that I wanted to add forget me nots to just my bridal bouquet because it was something special I shared with my great-grandmother. So I called concerned it was too late to change and it was completely taken care of. She went out of her way to make sure I could get them and the day of my bouquet was absolutely perfect. The morning of the wedding the flowers arrived exactly when they were supposed to and I mean they knocked on our hotel changing room at exactly 3pm on the dot! I was impressed. The flowers for the church were already delivered as well as corsages and boutonnieres for parents. Our centerpieces were included in our wedding package with a different floral company. I wish The Flower Mill had done them instead; They were still pretty centerpieces but they included tiger lilies and EVERY single centerpiece had tiger lilies that weren't even open, it was very disappointing. ALL of the Flower Mill's flowers were fresh, beautifully bloomed and smelled fantastic. The quality was even better than we could have hoped. This is why I give them 5 stars for everything, they completely outdid themselves and made our wedding beautiful.

Joanna at the Flower Mill was easily the best & most reliable person we worked with for our wedding. Our flowers were amazing; exactly the right colors and vibrancy my husband and I were looking for on our wedding day. With our budget, we weren't sure what scene we would come into our reception with and we were amazingly surprised and impressed. The bouquets and boutonnieres should have been a preview but I just don't think we were expecting so much color and beauty at the center of each table. Joanna has a real talent to interpret your personal style. She is super knowledgeable of her trade and knows the Latin and layman's name for every flower you show her. I think she may eat, sleep, and drink flowers. Her passion comes through in her work. Joanna is truly an artist of her trade and we are so happy we heard about the Flower Mill. We wouldn't have changed a thing. We have already recommended her services to everyone we know. Thank you Joanna for a beautiful day!

I heard about The Flower Mill through facebook. Alot of my friends knew the owner and raved about how fabulous her work was. Two months before my wedding, my florist at the time contacted me and said that they were unable to do our wedding. I called The Flower Mill and was glad to be greated my Joanna Hall. My mother and I met with her and since I was already pretty far along with my wedding planning, I had a pretty good idea of what I wanted my theme to be. When we showed up, Joanna had pictures of rustic/tree branches ideas already on her Ipad ready for us to start brainstorming. Right away my mother and I fell in love with her passion and uniqueness for her job. I would fully recommend Joanna Hall to anyone looking to have their wedding day be unique, grabbing a great arrangement for your kitchen table, or picking up a bouquet for a special someone.

This vendor was excellent! Joanna was so enjoyable to work with in creating the floral designs for our wedding. She really wanted to make sure that every detail, down to each flower, was what we wanted. I really appreciated her attention to detail and personality. So accommodating and friendly. Joanne worked with me - we called her on short notice (2 weeks before my daughter's engagement party). I explained to her the colors and the theme and she sent me some photos. We worked via email & phone.

Joanna at the Flower Mill made our dreams come true with the flowers and decor at our wedding. We wanted the decor to be a certain style and Joanna immediately understood and created centerpieces that exactly matched our wishes. She answered every email and phone call. Our flowers arrived on time in the desired locations. The only issue was the spelling of one of the names of our tables. Everything else was perfection. We received many compliments on all of the flowers. They were definitely a beautiful and original creation.

I used The Flower Mill for my wedding. Joanna was great to work with, very creative which I needed. I loved my bouquet's, boutineers', and the table center pieces. However, the bud vases that were used feel flat in terms of presentation. Not as nice as I would have expected. Otherwise, everything else was perfect!
