Laura Sent on 11/16/2015Working with Helen at the Florist department was such a wonderful experience!! She provided the most gorgeous flower bouquets and arrangements for my wedding, flowers for our wedding cake and ceremony flowers/arrangements. Helen, an artists like myself, shared my vision and truly understood what I was looking for. You could tell she was so excited and enjoys what she does. She was responsive to email and phone calls with additional changes as the day got closer. Helen was just a joy to work with and I was confident in leaving this big part in her hands. She provided such unique flowers as she had the garden centers variety of flowers to choose from and gave our venue life!
So glad we decided to work with Helen at Mahoney's Garden Center!

They were reliable and attentive and seemed to care about giving us the best value. We had 220 people and 30 individual flower pieces for members of the wedding party/family. They were not pressuring and they were very adaptive. -

Mahoney's did an absolutely PHENOMENAL job with the flowers for our wedding! A special shout out to Rachel Abbott who is just the best to work with. She figured out the perfect way to come up with a wreath arrangement to go around the small lanterns my mom put together for the centerpieces. She asked me to send sample photos of bouquets I liked and to tell her my favorite flowers, and she took that information to make the most gorgeous bouquets for me and my niece. The boutonnieres, corsages, and hair combs for our parents, grandparents, and the groom were all perfect, too. Rachel herself even delivered all the flowers to our wedding venue, even though it was a good hour from Winchester, for a totally reasonable fee. Everything was just gorgeous and people are still talking about how much they loved the flowers! And most people barely even notice the flowers at a wedding! Thank you, Mahoney's and Rachel! We will definitely continue to use Mahoney's for all other floral arrangement needs. -

User2952211 Sent on 01/18/2017This review is for the mahoney's in Winchester, specifically Rachel Abbott. She used to work in Chelmsford, but you can find her at the Winchester location. I luckily knew Rachel who had done my sisters wedding back in 2014, I think my sister found her through Craigslist. She is very talented in a humble way, I'm not even sure if she knows how great she is. When looking for a florist, I would highly recommend going with her. She is flexible, let me provide the vases and some of the supplies knowing it would cost me way less than what she was able to provide. Most other florists would say no without a doubt knowing they can overcharge to make a profit, which she does not do. My centerpeices were SO beautiful and my bouquet was PERFECT! My flowers lasted about 2 weeks after my wedding too! Everyone raved about my centerpeices and immediately couldn't believe I went through mahoney's. I seriously recommend going to see Rachel!!! -

We hired Mahoney’s to do the flowers for our May 2023 wedding in Massachusetts, and are so happy we did! We worked with Rachel, and she was lovely, and very patient when we wanted changes! We explained our vision to her (in terms that likely came across as very vague and confusing lol) and she was able to bring it to life exactly as we wanted. We had different types of floor plants and potted plants for decor, and boxes of mixed plants and flowers for the centerpieces, as well as bouquets and church flowers. Our vision was somewhat unconventional, using many desert plants that are not too common in the northeast, but she procured them and made all the arrangements look beautiful. Additionally, she was able to help us tailor the proposal to keep the overall cost within our budget, including setting the larger plants as rentals rather than buying them (they delivered and picked up from the venue). Overall, Rachel & Mahoney’s were great to work with, and we were thrilled with the outcome!
