Where do we even begin… My Fiancé and I found the Enchanted barn on Pinterest over a year ago. A picture perfect venue. WHAT? How is that even possible. Well believe it or not, it's even more beautiful in person than it is online.
The enchanted barn is the definition of a fairytale venue and more. From the moment we walked into the venue both Andrew and I could not stop saying "WOW". Upon entry, you walk into the most breathtaking wooden barn, that has not been restored (what a novelty). A wooden barn that has been decorated with tea light candles floating from the ceiling that make you feel like you're in a wonderland. Just when you think that this is the best part of the barn, they mechanically open the doors to a beautiful landscape of horses in a field. A view so breathtaking, you almost wonder if your guests will be watching you. Once you have picked up your jaw from the utter excitement, and make your way down stairs, you are greeted by the most quaint little gathering area with tables and chairs and a beautifully done bar. With how perfectly this venue flows, you will soon find yourself wandering outside in a stunning courtyard that overlooks the pizza oven surrounded by a picturesque glass structure which looks so cozy and inviting. (one of the highlights of our wedding). Along with these amazing features, Lorin (the owner) has created a few others along the way. This was one of the most exciting parts about having a wedding at this venue. Whenever you thought it couldn't get any more perfect, he surprised you by adding something else. The best part about this venue however, was how naturally beautiful it was. This allowed us to spend little money on the décor, and allowed us to splurge elsewhere. We took the opportunity to splurge on the handmade (morning of) fresh, Amish donuts that were recommended by the venue, another highlight of our wedding.
The Enchanted Barn doesn't just stop at its beauty however both Lorin, Rebekah and staff were nothing but accommodating to our every need. They allowed us to visit the venue multiple times with different people not only to show them the beauty but also to finalize any last minute details or concerns we may have had. Rebekah acted as a wedding coordinator for me, which was more than I could've asked for within itself. She responded to every txt/ email and phone call within a few minutes. She was always so pleasant with her responses, helping me in any way she could or pointing me in the right direction for the appropriate answer. Rebekah and Lorin have an amazing vendor list lined up for you to use which made having a wedding in a different state a breeze. From Lacey our florist to Bistro 63, there was nothing but positive comments floating around the entire night. The whole night was orchestrated to perfection. I cannot say that I have ever been to a wedding so perfectly managed. I know those are bold words coming from a bride, but I couldn't point out a flaw even if I tried.
My favorite part of this wedding was how involved Lorin and Rebekah got with it. Their creativity and ideas are just pouring out with love. Lorin gave me the most amazing entrance a women could ever dream of. A surprise to everyone, especially my husband. On my wedding day, I had a double reveal. I got to be revealed not only from behind a sheer white curtain that hung so beautifully in the back of the barn, but I also got to be revealed from the "out looking" window of the barn. An alternative to the first look which was something from a dream. Standing in the field with horses just feet away, Lorin gave me a sense of calmness. Assuring me that everything was going smoothly and that I looked beautiful was just what I needed to hear in that given moment. Once revealed (once the windows to the barn opened) and I walked to my father who was awaiting me at the entrance of the barn, apparently the horses came running up behind me as if it had been the plan all along. Something that I got told repeatedly throughout the evening from our guests who were in awe.
The enchanted barn provides you with so much beauty and picture perfect views all in one. From their barn, to their bride/ groom room and shanty we couldn't have asked for a better venue or better people to help make our dreams come true.
Now that I have written a book, all I can say is that, if you have ever dreamed of getting married in the most beautiful barn. Look no further. With a choice of 3 wedding alters, the most beautiful wedding venue and an outstanding staff what more could you ask for?

We can’t say enough great things about The Enchanted Barn! First off, the communication is great...response to emails was quick and was always able to set up phone calls or even stopping by the venue short notice. The venue itself is so unique and beautiful...so many great intimate spots with lots of character. The food was amazing...really recommend the wood fired pizza...such a fun thing for guests to see their pizza being made. Due to the weather we were unable to to have our outdoor ceremony, The Enchanted Barn went above and beyond making the indoor ceremony so beautiful and special. Hands down recommend this beautiful venue! -

A Beautiful renewal of Vows!
We did things a bit differently. We eloped in December 2019 and then we had a reception/renewal of vows in June 2020 at the Enchanted Barn. The Enchanted Barn was very accommodating and understanding of our situation. they made our experience beautiful amidst Covid. I would suggest the Enchanted Barn to anyone no matter where they are at in life and how they want to experience their wedding. -

Our wedding was a micro wedding of 30 guests on a Thursday in July and the Enchanted Barn made it magical. We were able to get many wish list items like a smores bar around a large fire, a photo booth, and delicious pizza made for our guests. Rebekah was amazing to work with. She handled all the small details through out the day and made sure everything went just how I imagined. I could not recomend this venue more. Its perfect for weddings large and small.. -

We just toured the barn and I can absolutely agree with most of the other reviews on here: it is even more beautiful in person than in the pictures. We met with the owner, Lorin, and he was obviously so proud of his venue and cares so deeply about doing a good job. He was super flexible when we asked for specific things and I know that we are now in good hands!

We finally got to get married at this incredible venue! It went even better than we ever could have imagined! SO many of our guests kept raving about how cool the venue was and the staff were incredible. They were so flexible to make sure everything was exactly how we wanted it and made our vision come true. Cannot say enough good things about this venue! -

The Enchanted Barn was amazing from working with everyone to having our wedding there, we highly recommend it! Everyone we interacted with from the first email inquiring a tour, our tour, to planning our wedding was extremely professional, personal, organized, flexible and on top of everything. We are extremely grateful for our experience at this venue. Rebekah, the wedding coordinator is wonderful. She is so organized, highly responsive (even had a phone call with me at 8:30 PM the week of my wedding to answer questions and go through everything), and was so organized and on top of everything the day of the wedding. We didn't have to worry about anything because she and the rest of the staff already thought of everything and had it done. Our wedding was so beautiful and we have gotten many compliments on it from family and friends. They loved the venue, food and everything else The Enchanted Barn has to offer! -

This past April, my wife and I were lucky enough to be married at The Enchanted Barn. They were kind of us to check in a night early into the house so that I could get everything set up while my wife was getting her hair and makeup done. The day of the wedding the staff was absolutely fantastic! There was not a single thing either of us had to worry about. The venue is beautiful, spacious, and again I cannot say enough about the helpfulness of the staff. From set up for the ceremony, the transition to dinner, and then dancing the Enchanted Barn knocked it out of the park. We thank you for all of the help and would get married there again and again! -

We had a very intimate wedding ceremony and dinner at the Enchanted Barn in May and it couldn’t have turned out any better! The venue was absolutely gorgeous and picture perfect in every way! The staff was incredible. They did all the work for me to make our special day 100% stress free. Rebecca was amazing at making sure everything was perfect for us. Our guests also loved her and appreciated her taking such great care of them as well! I wouldn’t change a single thing about our wedding experience at the Enchanted Barn! -

Our wedding was small and intimate on a Thursday night. We wanted something quaint and with only family and close friends (about 20 people). The Enchanted Barn made our elopement style wedding the most magical, memorable wedding. They catered to every vision we had (even with a small wedding) and the 4 girls who were staffing the venue for our wedding were so personable and genuinely kind! They felt like friends. We cannot say enough good things about this venue and staff. The barn looks old and rustic from the outside but don’t let it fool you! The inside is incredible. Amazing milk parlor (where we had our small family dinner -style reception with one large table) and an incredible glass barn with huge modern Italian pizza oven. Every single detail was made a reality as Rebekah was a godsend. The bridal suite is a must for getting ready - you can even elect to stay there overnight if you choose to add it in. The hayloft was beautifully decorated and felt “just right” even with a small wedding. ***We had never seen the venue prior to our wedding day!!!*** but when we arrived, it all felt so “right”. Let Rebekah guide you- let her know what you like/dislike and she will make it happen (a million times over!) -

Wow, I am not even sure where to start with our review of the Enchanted Barn! Absolutely everything was coordinated down to the very last detail and the location itself is simply captivating!
We live abroad so we had the almost impossible task of locating a venue without the opportunity to see it first-hand. We looked at over 20 different barn venues in the upper Midwest, but nothing, absolutely nothing, compared to the charming, rustic chic Enchanted Barn.
We both fell in love with the look and feel of the venue based on the pictures on the website alone, but not being too naive we also wanted to have some sort of look around the place. This is where Lorin came in, we contacted him and he was great. We told him exactly what we were up against – families from two different cultural spheres, friends coming from across the globe, and a mix of our own time and financial constraints. He walked us through what couples normally do, talked to us about certain concerns we had and was open to our own unique ideas for the day. We were so nervous for our first (and only!) visit to the Barn because the pictures looked so incredible that it seemed too good to be true. After our visit we knew it was the wedding venue of our dreams in all aspects: location, style, amenities, staff, and budget-wise.
During all the months leading up to the wedding we were in contact with both Lorin and the wedding coordinator Rebekah who was also amazing. We obviously had so many questions and requests through not being able to be there physically, but they were there to quickly respond to all our emails and give helpful friendly advice for everything. Not only did they respond to emails quickly and thoroughly, but Lorin and the entire team at the Enchanted Barn were so accommodating in making everything work exactly how we wanted it to be. They really put our minds at rest so that we could rest assured throughout the entire planning process that we had made a great decision.
Our guests were absolutely blown away by the venue! Even the most beautiful pictures still don’t seem to do justice for how beautiful of a location it is. The whole place just has a magical feeling to it, The Barn, The Grand Shanty, The Milk Parlor (my personal favorite!), just everything, ….and the beautiful horses in the background! The honeymoon suite was perfect, such a lovely place for the bride to get ready with her bridesmaids and for the couple to stay the night of their wedding.
People often ask us what was the best part about our wedding day and for both of us the best part about the day was that we didn’t have to worry about anything. Lorin and Rebekah work very closely with the vendors they recommend for good reason. Their operation is smooth and the coordination they have with their staff and vendors is amazing, which allowed not only us but also our guests to enjoy the day worry-free. We never had to keep track of time, they were there in the background making sure that everything was running smoothly and on time while at the same time still allowing us to enjoy the day as it went by.
Moreover, the Grand Shanty provided us with a huge home to host our bridal party and closest friends, which allowed us to make a weekend out of our wedding, especially for our out of town guests. It is decorated with so much detail – tin ceilings from the old tin barn, glass-covered tabletops under which are pretty, old barn boards, a trough sink – absolutely stunning. Everything you could ever need is already there. This venue seriously is a show up and get married venue, from start to finish and for all involved parties!
I think what makes the Enchanted Barn such an incredible place is how personal everything is. From the start through to leaving the day after our wedding they worked with us to accommodate our unconventional circumstances. Everything felt so personal and dedicated to us. You could really feel their devotion to making our day as incredible as it could be. They worked with us to create something that fit into our budget, giving us multiple options while never pressuring us into something we felt uncomfortable with.
The venue is stunning and so incredibly peaceful! We truly experienced a fairy-tale wedding at the Enchanted Barn and we thank the entire team for everything they did to make our day everything perfect that it was!
We had all of our wishes fulfilled and couldn’t recommend the Enchanted Barn more highly. The best way to get started is by setting up a visit to the Barn (and you may as well do the private taste-testing at the same time) to talk to Lorin and the staff about what you envision. Please take our word for it – you are making a great decision with the Enchanted Barn.

This was the PERFECT venue for us! It was such a beautiful space that stood out on its own (we didn't need to do any extensive decorating) and the garden party flow option created the exact environment we wanted to have friends and family enjoy. Natalie Sent on 10/17/2017Our wedding was seamless. The day couldn't have went any smoother from start to finish. The staff (between Kim, Lorin, Rebecca, and all others) were incredible. Our day wouldn't have been what it was without all their help. If anything went wrong I had no idea! You get what you pay for and this venue is worth every single penny. Our guests say they will never attend a wedding as perfect as ours again. The staff behind the scenes were just amazing and would bend over backwards for anyone. It may have rained, but the guests and ourselves were perfectly content with staying in the barn all night. I would recommend this venue 100 times over. Thank you to all the staff that made our night something we will never forget. -

We also loved using the Grande Shanty for our families to stay at, and the loft for me and my bridesmaids the night before the wedding. My husband and I stayed in the loft on our wedding night too, way too convenient, and still so romantic! Our entire wedding went seamlessly-- couldn't have asked for a better experience. The staff went above and beyond our expectations
I found The Enchanted Barn while scrolling through pictures back in 2014. At the time, my boyfriend and I had been together for a couple of years and had just started to talk about getting married, knowing it would be awhile before then. I'm not sure how I convinced him to go take a tour as we weren't even engaged, but i'm so glad I did. As soon as we met Lorin and walked into the Milking Parlor, we knew this was the place we wanted to get married. Fast forward to 2 years later, we were finally engaged and booked our date for September 2018.
Words cannot express how thankful we are to all of the staff that we worked with who went out of their way to make our wedding day so special. Everyone went above and beyond our expectations to make sure all of our guests had everything that they needed throughout the night. I have a very close friend who brought her 5 week old baby, who at the time, was not a happy camper during dinner. They went up into the bridal suite during this time to try to get her to calm down so that they could come back downstairs and enjoy the rest of the evening. The staff at the barn checked on them multiple times to see if they needed anything and even brought them dinner. This is just one example of how they went above and beyond that day to make sure everything went perfect and all of our guests were taken care of.
It is a little bitter sweet to think that our special day has come and gone at the barn, but we look forward to visiting for Enchanted Nation to relive what is currently the best day of our lives. -

The owner Lorin and the staff at The Enchanted Barn made my wedding everything I had ever imagined it to be! I planned my wedding in 47 days and they were right there for me thought the whole process! They catered to my every wish and made it an easy, stress free planning process. The barn itself was built in the 1880's and has retained all the unique characteristics, details, and beauty from when it was first built. My husband and I appreciate the simplicity and elegance the Barn displays and it just took my breath away on the day of our wedding! Christina Sent on 08/30/2010The Barn was beautiful!!!!! It was the most amazing day of our lives and the Enchanted Barn made that happen. The whole atmosphere was enchanting! There were a few things that did not get done, which were a little frustrating but all together it was a great experience. One suggestion I would make is to get a wedding coordinator and to respond to the couples in a more timely fashion.
