Best day of our lives!!

This venue is seriously so perfect! It’s right on the ocean and the views are incredible. We got married on 8/23/25 and our guests were raving about the views and the venue in general - it’s so beautiful! Kelly and Alden were so accommodating and easy to work with. We booked our wedding a year before and luckily they still had a Saturday in August left. They give you a list of vendors that they recommend which made it so easy to find a good caterer, photographer, florist and DJ. We had 180 people and our ceremony was outside. Kelly was the day of coordinator and she made sure everything went smoothly. She and Alden were also very responsive leading up to the wedding when I had a lot of last minute questions. If you are looking for a venue with a coastal vibe, look no further. I highly recommend The Atlantic Ocean Room!!

Wonderful venue and staff!

This was a beautiful location and hall. The Elks staff went above and beyond. The wedding coordinator, Kelly, did an amazing job at keeping everything running smoothly and was always available to answer any questions. This venue is HIGHLY recommended.

5 stars and that view!

Alden and his team at the Elks at Bass Rocks made our wedding planning so easy and seamless! As a first time bride, I was new to this and learning as I go! Everyone involved was so helpful and made the process easy! I highly recommend the Elks for your next function, if not for the view alone!

Great Venue, Bartenders, and Day Of Venue Coordinator

We had 166 guests, and this venue was perfect! We were able to fit all of our guests on the lower part of the L-shaped hall and have the upper area for a large dance floor! All of the guests loved the bartenders! Beautiful location with large windows for a great view before sunset. Working with Kelly the Venue Coordinator was the best and she was so professional, helpful, and accommodating!!

Our Amazing Wedding

We are so happy with our decision to choose the Atlantic Ocean Room as our wedding venue. The location and view are what initially sold us, but Kimberley's advice and support throughout our planning process is what cemented our decision. Our ceremony was originally planned to be outside, but due to hurricane winds we had to make the decision to move inside two hours before. Kimberley and team quickly adjusted the plan and reorganized the room so our ceremony was just as special as being outside. Kimberley was super attentive over the course of our 11 month planning process - proactively checking in and leveraging her immense knowledge to help guide us throughout what can be a stressful time. Our wedding received rave reviews from all of our guests and we could not have been happier. We would definitely have another event here!

Amazing Experience - Even in the Rain

This venue has a breathtaking view of the ocean and is in a great location. Our ceremony was originally planned to be outside, but due to weather (rain) we ended up having the ceremony in the Atlantic room - it was just as special as being outside! Kimberley did an amazing job throughout the whole time, and was very attentive. She answered all of our questions throughout the whole process. I would definitely have another event here!

Wonderful experience!

It was a wonderful experience working with Kimberley and Patty at The Elks at Bass Rocks. Perfect Venue with an even better staff!

The Elks was the perfect wedding venue for us! Patty and Kim were the best supports and kept our day moving. They made sure that there were no hiccups in the day and if there were they made sure we did not know about them! I could not have asked for a better day!

Our perfect Wedding!

I cannot say enough about how amazing my wedding was and mostly because of Kim! Once we talked to her we realized not only was the venue perfect but that she would keep our wedding on track and smooth. We were not wrong she took care of everything at the event making sure everything was on time and all our other vendors were on the same page. Connected us to Vynwood which was also amazing! As the bride I was so worried about getting out and putting all our decorations and candles in cars. When the wedding was over Kim had the staff putting everything in the boxes we brought without me even realizing! Everything was set on a table in the hallway all we had to do was clean out the bridal suite and back a car up it was absolutely perfect and easy! We are so happy with the staff and the venue everything was amazing they made our wedding perfect.

Come for the Views, Stay for the Service

We picked the Elks based off of the location - the views alone sell the venue.
But what we got was so much more. Kimberley is referred to as Kimberley the Great in our family now, as she thought of literally everything and any request we had she was sure to make sure it was taken care of.
During the wedding, my husband spilled coffee and champagne - a terrible combo to get on a white dress, but Kimberley fixed it as if it never happened. She made sure all of my needs were met and all of my dreams were fulfilled. My day felt truly perfect, and Kimberly is a huge credit to that dream come true.

The perfect day!

We had our wedding on 10/15/2022, From the first tour of the venue we knew this was the place. Kimberley was so easy to work with and so quick to respond to any question we had. She was so personable and professional. She was always there to make me feel better about anything during the planning process. She knows what shes doing and is AMAZING at her job. She truly made my dreams come true on my wedding day. She was there from the arrival to the bridal suite to the end of the night loading up the cars. Anytime I needed her she was attentive and helped with every bit of the process. I can't thank her enough. The Elks is the most beautiful place for a wedding. I would highly recommend her and the Elks for your wedding day!

Best Wedding Venue

We choose this as our wedding venue back in 2020 for our wedding in Sept of 2022. We started working with Kimberly in 2021 once the other coordinator left the venue. Kimberly was absolutely amazing. She knows exactly what she is doing and how to make a wedding go off without any issues. She is 100% there for the bride and groom and made sure we were always happy. I was nervous about a lot on my wedding day but Kimberly was always there to make me feel better.
The venue is one of the most beautiful places I have ever been. It is located directly across from the ocean and has the best view. I would recommend this venue to everyone. It was affordable and absolutely made our wedding the best it could have been.

Incredible!

I could not have imagined my wedding day being anywhere else! You cannot beat the view and especially for the price it’s unbelievable! Everyone was great to work with and having David for the day of my wedding was more than I could have hoped for. They worked with me on my special vision that I wanted and it came out INCREDIBLE! Incredible

I cannot give this venue enough praise, more specifically our coordinator at the Elks, Kimberly. From the first meeting with her through our wedding day, she listened to our ideas and vision, was professional and receptive. She took my vision and EXCEEDED all of my expectations. I was in awe when I saw the room and how she was able to create exactly what I had hoped for in my mind. Kim made me feel like my wedding was the only one of the year, when I know that they had many all weekend. The view for our ceremony and reception was unmatched and the convenience of having a beautiful hotel right next door was perfect. I never even considered another venue following our first visit and I am so beyond happy with our choice. I cannot recommend them enough!

Beautiful Wedding and Amazing experience!

My husband and I got married at The Atlantic Ocean Room early September 2022. From the start we had such a great experience. Everything is outlined clearly and they are so responsive to any questions that came up. Kimberly, the events director was so nice and professional and knew what she was doing and was able to help with all the logistics that go along with a wedding! The day of coordinator Patty was also nice and easy to work with and everything went so perfectly !! The venue is absolutely stunning and all of the guests were wowed at the views! 10/10 recommend!

Perfect Venue for a Oceanside Wedding!

We held our wedding this weekend at the Elks at Bass Rocks in Gloucester, MA. It was a perfect venue for a wedding! This is not your typical Elks. It is rated number one in the country in terms of beauty. There were gorgeous views from the Atlantic Ocean Room and our ceremony was held on the front lawn with the open ocean as the backdrop. I can’t say enough about the Director of Events and Wedding Coordinator at the Elks, Kimberly Banks and Kelly Smith. They made sure every detail was perfect and that everyone was in the right spot at the right time. I thought we would be setting up our own signage and other items in the hall. They took care of all of it so I could just enjoy the day. The Elks has two really nice hotels next door to the venue and there are plenty of other places to stay in the area, both hotels and Airbnbs. Our guests from out of town enjoyed spending time in Gloucester and Rockport and all commented on the beauty of the area. A nice feature of the Elks was the bridal suite, which we had access to from 9am that day for hair and make up. It was the perfect room for my bridesmaids and I to get ready in, equipped with a small refrigerator and private bathroom. All in all, I couldn’t have asked for a better venue or day.

I have to also mention the vendors I used, all of which were phenomenal. Vinwood Catering out of Ipswich, MA provided food. I was told it was the best wedding food people had ever had. I used Audrey’s Flower Shop in Gloucester for our flowers and they were gorgeous and reasonably priced. Our DJ and Photography team, Curtis Knight Entertainment did an amazing job serving as both our DJ, MC and photographer. He had a slideshow running in real time as photos were captured from the day. Topsfield Bake Shop provided our cutting cake and cupcake tree and both were great.

All in all it was the perfect day - better than I ever could have imagined! :)

Director of events

Kimberley Banks is incredible! We decided to plan our wedding 6 months ago and she made it seamless for us. She is energetic, detail oriented, and didn't miss a beat. My guests are still talking about what an incredible job she did. The wedding was beautiful. Wedding review for my daughter

Perfect site for a beach themed wedding. My daughter was married there and it rained so we moved it inside for the ceremony and it was just perfect. Staff worked with everything I needed and no problems. Their vendor options were wonderful.

Flawlessly beautiful venue and incredible coordinator for our August 2022 wedding!!

My husband and I got married at the Elks on August 14th, 2022 and we could not have had a more wonderful day and overall experience; we feel so blessed and are still deliriously happy reliving the day a month later. The Elks was the first venue we looked at back in September of 2021, and we immediately halted our search after seeing the gorgeous ocean view just steps away and meeting our dear and lovely Kimberley! We just adored her, and working with her, from that first day to our wedding day, and we will still keep in touch and count her as someone so special in our lives.

We had about 120 guests from near and far and everyone had such a blast dancing the night away by the gorgeous ocean. The ceremony spot is just so lovely right on the water, and guests (and we!!) really appreciated it. Taking wedding pictures afterwards on the rocks overlooking the ocean is something we'll truly remember always. Once inside for the reception, the beautiful ocean is still visible in the background. Every single thing at the reception looked as I had envisioned it for years and years; it all looked so lovely. We know that everyone says it, but we just had such a genuinely FUN, joyous, incandescently beautiful late summer wedding day and we will look back on it with all of our love for the rest of our crazy lives together.

Beautiful facility, beautiful views all-around wonderful

We were married there 7/23/2022. The facility is beautiful so needs no embellishments. Stunning views for photos. Kimberly Banks the coordinator is really where you get your value. She made every step easy, knew all the small details that were needed. Was professional, helpful and great to deal with. I'd highly recommend both the Elks at Bass Rocks and Kimberly Banks to anyone who want a beautiful facility with a knowledgeable manager.

Book this venue!

We picked this venue because of the beautiful location and space. You can’t beat the ocean view! And you can’t beat the price! Kimberly, the event coordinator, was SPECTACULAR! She is a pro in the wedding industry! She spoke about all the little details and had so many awesome suggestions. During one of our visits with Kimberly, she made us a detailed floor plan and wedding timeline that was so awesome to have! It was so easy and convenient to forward it to all of our other vendors so everyone was on the same page. Aside from her attention to detail, Kimberly made me feel SO COMFORTABLE! She was like a wedding mama you need when you’re feeling nervous! She made sure I was feeling good and comfortable at all times. She helped me with so much and I’m so thankful I had her by my side that day.

Vinwood Catering is from one of their preselected lists of caterers to chose from. We absolutely loved working with Gary and his team. Everyone LOVED the food!

Beautiful venue awesome staff

We had to rebook our wedding due to covid and we had an old coordinator I believe her name was Emily then we were introduced to Kimberly and man was she a dream to work with. She was very responsive to emails calls and or texts she knew every answer to our questions. She made our day a dream come true. Kimberly definitely deserves a raise! The location is perfect and the view wow is all I got say the view is stunning!

It all started because my now husband and I didn't want a big deal kind of wedding. We got engaged in December of 2019 and looked into low-key venues on a budget for 2021. We came across The Elks at Bass Rocks and booked it as soon as we saw it. Even though it was February and pouring rain, we just knew it was perfect. Then, of course, the world ended for a little bit, and we didn't really worry too much about wedding planning until I realized, OMG I should worry about wedding planning. That's when I met Kim. She responded to my many emails almost immediately and put me at ease while simultaneously letting me know what I had to get done, when, and how.
When we visited the Elks again, just before our wedding, it was another gloomy day but the room and the view was still absolutely gorgeous. We met Kim and got right down to business. She made us feel right at home, answered any and all of our questions and made sure we had dotted every I and crossed every t. I am an incredibly anxious person, never mind planning a wedding and after our very first meeting I just knew I was in good hands for one of the biggest days of our lives.
BOY did she NOT disappoint. Kim was by my side either literally, or via phone nearly all weekend. No matter how silly it seemed, or how many times I asked her if I was a crazy bride, she had the perfect answers to questions I didn't even know I had yet. Throughout the entire wedding process she told me where to be and when and again, as someone who suffers from severe anxiety, I cannot explain how helpful this was and how much it meant to me.
All the while, Kim was actually putting out fires for me left and right that I had NO IDEA about until after the wedding. She absolutely went above and beyond and for this we are so thankful.
We had the BEST wedding weekend ever. The weather was beautiful. The venue is so GORGEOUS my guests didn't even notice we didn't have flowers (we are both allergic). One of my guests shared with me that he thought since we were getting married at an Elks it would be like a big old room in a basement. He was floored at just how gorgeous the Elks at Bass Rocks is, and for the price? I'd never go anywhere else. Well, maybe if Kim went somewhere else... aha! Seriously, the BEST! Thank you, thank you thank you!

Gloucester’s hidden Gem

We toured this venue back in September 2019 for our wedding we planned to have in 11.07.20…the venue is beautiful, right on the ocean! We paid our deposit that week and I got to planning the wedding we always wanted! Fast forward to March 2020 and the pandemic made us question if our wedding was even going to happen…I reached out to the event manager and was able to change our wedding date to the following year: fortunately, we were able to keep the same pricing, even though we moved our wedding into “peak season.” It proves how willing this venue is to accommodate their customers and keep the process as smooth as possible! It definitely helped make an extremely stressful situation significantly less stressful for us! Kimberley is the new event director and started a few months before our wedding, but it didn’t seem like that- she was very attentive and knew what she was doing, which we were very grateful for! If you express what you want, she will deliver it and more! The venue is very affordable, which you won’t find anywhere else in Gloucester…especially on the ocean! 10/10 would recommend! Thank you!!

Great Location and Awesome Staff

We had our wedding at the Atlantic Room at the Elks at Bass Rocks on September 3, 2021. Kimberley and the entire staff there were beyond fantastic. She made sure that everything ran smoothly from the time that we selected that venue. She is extremely hands-on throughout the process and whether it was a last minute lay-out change for the seating or the fact that I called her about two hours before the ceremony to find a makeup artist as mine had to cancel due to an emergency. She and the entire staff are consummate professionals. Everyone raved about the food by Creative Catering which is one of their preferred vendors, and she and Lori worked seamlessly. I simply can not thank everyone enough for an amazing day and would absolutely recommend The Atlantic Room for a wedding or any other type of function.

Wonderful experience

I booked the Elks at Bass Rocks for my wedding venue back in January 2019! My wedding date would have been June 13, 2020, however, we postponed it because of covid. The Elks has been so fantastic with all the wedding changes during this tough time; they have made the process so easy and not stressful at all! Beautiful venue with a wonderful coordinator!

We had an amazing wedding at the Elks! Emily was super helpful throughout the process. The planning form she had us fill out was helpful in seeing what our day would look like and made it easier to communicate with our other vendors regarding the day of timeline. We had some questionable weather leading up to our big day, but Emily assured us it would be beautiful no matter what and that we could make the call shortly before the start of the ceremony. Thankfully the rain stopped and we were able to have it outside and she made sure the seats were dry for our guests. If you book this venue between the views and the help of Emily you won’t be disappointed!

Perfection

We searched far and wide for a wedding venue. When we turned down Atlantic Rd. In Gloucester to go see the Elks in March we knew we had to have our wedding there. We met with Emily who was so incredibly pleasant and accommodating. She has these events down to a science, and although only some of our wedding party was at the rehearsal, she directed everything and it went off without a hitch.
The venue is breathtaking. I do not think there is a better ocean view in Massachusetts. It is clean, modern, and reasonably priced. We hired Vinwood as our caterer, and we also give them 5 stars but that's a different review.
I am still in awe at the beauty of this place. I recommend it so highly.

The Elks at Bass Rocks is the best!

We are sooo happy we decided to book The Elks at Bass Rocks as our wedding venue! You cannot beat this view and this location for the price. I can’t say enough good things about the event coordinator, Emily. She was absolutely amazing and went out of her way for us since the very beginning. She was always so quick to respond to questions and anything we needed. From referring me to the best photographer around, to helping me find a last minute EmCee a week before my wedding, Emily went above and beyond for us so that our day would be perfect! We had a family friend as our DJ who wasn’t as experienced on the wedding side of things, and Emily made sure everything ran smoothly and handled the whole night with so much grace and professionalism that none of our guests realized there was anything going wrong. My husband and I got so many compliments about the Elks and the location and how beautiful it is! Any couple/family looking for an affordable Oceanside venue with a million dollar view, The Elks at Bass Rocks has to be your spot!

What a view

I am amazed at everything about this venue! When I started planning 2 years ago I never imagined how beautiful outside would be with my decor and what the inside would looks like with al lot decor. If you're looking to get married on the New England coast, don't look ant further. Emily at the Elks was so easy to work with and went the extra mile when we had a couple of last minute issues. She made sure everything went the way we asked for it to and worked with a slew of independent vendors to make it all come together. The venue is so convenient and the views are beautiful. You cannot beat the price and what is included - believe me, I looked everywhere. Though we didn't stay at them ourselves, our guests raved about the hotels right next door as well. Do yourself a favor, take lots of stress off your shoulders, and pick this place!

Successful Wedding

We got married on October 6, 2018. Between the view and the staff, the venue was perfect for our day. We got married outdoors on the lawn and had our reception inside. Emily was always very helpful and responsive when we reached out with questions. She made sure that all of the venders worked together to help our day go smoothly. Britney helped set everything up on the day of our wedding and coordinated our day. Between the two of them the day went well and without any hiccups.

We just had our wedding at the Elks on 8/31/18 and the day was absolutely magical. All of our guests still talk about how beautiful the wedding was and how breathtaking the view is! Emily, the coordinator is so professional, so sweet and is amazing at what she does! She put together my decor exactly how I envisioned it and everything looked perfect. She was so patient when we ran a little bit behind and when we realized I had forgotten some things at home (I live about an hour and a half away) and improvised the best she could! She made sure every detail was taken care of and also made sure myself and the groom ate! If you are looking for the perfect beach front venue, look no further! Best venue, best view, and best staff! I wish I could give 100 stars!

The Elks was one of the best choices we made when planning our wedding! Emily, Rose and the whole team nailed it from start to finish. Our guests were blown away by the view from the rocks, and the wedding party was able to spread out and relax in the bridal lounge upstairs. The reception room itself has little details like chandeliers, hardwood floors, and huge windows that give it a high-end feel. Emily was so patient with our many questions and requests, especially in the chaos of the week leading up to the wedding day. They also accommodated our request for a specific beer and the bartenders made delicious signature cocktails. We also had a nontraditional ceremony, which Rose made happen without missing a beat, plus her calm, positive attitude was much appreciated in moments of stress. We are so lucky to have found this place and couldn't have asked for anything better!

The Elks at Bass Rocks was the perfect venue for our wedding! The ocean views are spectacular, and the price really can't be beat (especially if you have an off-season wedding). We were able to take phenomenal photos down on the rocks with our wedding party.
The building itself has a clean and classic interior, and has great space and plenty of room for guest tables, gift table, a DJ/dance floor, and buffet. This place does NOT look like an Elks club. I love that the venue has a bridal suite that the bride and wedding party can access before and during the wedding. That made getting ready easy and allowed us to get some great "last looks" photos.
The staff at the Elks are all amazing too! Emily is a true superstar! She not only helped coordinate everything so that our wedding day ran smoothly, but she also served as a go-between with vendors, and really saved the day when our caterer attempted to increase our cost per person 10 days before our wedding. Having Emily made it feel like we'd hired a wedding planner, and resulted in a seamless and stress-free wedding day. She is a true professional who excels at her job.
Rose was also a great help to us day-of, as was the bar staff who not only kept up with the demands of an open bar at a 150 person wedding, but also made custom cocktails for our special day. The bar pricing is also very affordable--we were worried about the price tag for an open bar, but at the end of the night we came in significantly below our expected budget.
Things that might be deal-breakers for some: the front lawn where the ceremony takes place is narrow, so the processional walk-way is short. Because the front lawn is along a road, you will likely have a few cars drive by during your ceremony. Also, there is a bar for Elks members upstairs, but we didn't really have any cross-over w/them. None of this was an issue and it was fun when cars honked or people said congratulations.
All in all, we had a wonderful experience with this venue!

June 8, 2018 was a day that I will NEVER forget! The Elks at Bass Rocks was the place for us without a doubt! Working with Emily was absolutely amazing! We had the best day ever at our wedding at The Elks at Bass Rocks! Such a beautiful venue with the best ocean views in Gloucester by far ! (Best spot for your bridal party photos). The price was great. They are very organized and always available to speak. We had to change our date to match with my school schedule and it wasn't a problem at all. I got married on May 19, 2017. Emily and Taylor did a great job ! The venue was clean and neat and the views were breathtaking! The bartender was so kind and attentive to everyone especially the bridal party. I had an emergency prior to the ceremony and Emily left the venue went to the store and made my emergency just a bump in the road. For the rest of the night Emily was there even if I just needed to break away to the bridal suite for a break. She worked her tail off and I can't thank her enough! They have recently updated the function room with hardwood floors and additional lighting everything was just perfect! This place is becoming an us hidden gem for those that want the ocean background but class of Boston without the cost! I highly recommend the venue!

The Elks is such an amazing place to get married! The location, the view, the interior, the value, everything you need to have a perfect Cape Ann wedding. The Elks Club at Bass rocks gave me the perfect wedding. Taylor did an amazing job setting up and was very accommodating with the Dj and the caterer. My husband and I had our wedding reception here on October 1. We absolutely loved it!! from the first tour of the venue to our wedding exit, everything was perfect. Our day of coordinator, Taylor, was fabulous!! During our planning process, she was quick to respond to our emails, she offered suggestions and helped us through every part of the nigh. Then She checked in with us multiple times during The reception to make sure everything was okay! And although it rained on our wedding day, the rain made the Atlantic Room even more welcoming, inviting and fun. All in all, our wedding at the Elks was a BLAST!!! ??????

We chose the Elks at Bass Rocks for the beautiful location. The day of my wedding it rained but Deborah knew how much I want that outdoor wedding. When the rain stopped she was out there wiping off everything so we could have our dream wedding. The location was beautiful, the amazing people we worked with were organized and listened to everything I said and made it happen. My bridal party still talks about how amazing Deborah was. I would 100% have another event here. Vow renewal in a few years??

The elks was an amazing wedding venue. The view was breathtaking and the staff was so friendly and helpful though everything it made my wedding go so smoothly. And not to mention how they took my scattered notes and boxes of decorations and put them Into a gorgeous display that came out even better than I imagined it to. Also, they did everything in their power to make the day go as smoothly and less stressful as possible for me. When my clumsy husband stepped on my dress and ripped it 5 minutes before our first dance they wasted no time helping to pin it up with safety pins, and did a fantastic job at that to. I really couldn't have had a better experience!

We are so happy with our experience at The Elks at Bass Rocks! Deborah was a pleasure to work with made things easy from the beginning. They were very organized and clear in what they needed from us. We dropped all our decorations off a few days before the reception and they did a fantastic job of setting everything up! Looked better than I could imagine! Amazing experience at a beautiful location! Deborah and Taylor ensured that we had an incredible reception from day one. From expert vendor recommendations (all our vendors were recommended by Deborah) to flexible coordination (I planned the wedding from out of the country) to a smooth and perfect event, I couldn't ask for a better experience and I would definitely do it all over again!

My husband and I love The Elks at Bass Rocks! We had our dream wedding at an unbeatable price. The beauty of the venue is unmatched--ocean view, right down the road from Good Harbor beach! The staff, namely the wedding coordinator Deborah King is fantastic! Deborah knows what she's doing, and made our night go smoothly (from making sure we ate, to encouraging us to take more photos during the "golden hour" of light)! She even packed up all our belongings and helped us tie up all lose ends. If you want an ocean wedding, fun night, and knowledgeable staff--choose THE ELKS. You and your guests will be just as impressed as we are!

We are so happy we chose to have our wedding reception at the Elks at Bass Rocks. The oceanfront views were incredible and our guests had an amazing time. The venue easily accommodated our 130 guests comfortably with room for both dancing and socializing. Deborah, the event coordinator, made sure everything went smoothly for us on our wedding day. We dropped off all of our decorations and centerpiece materials the day before and she did such a nice job putting it all together so that we didn't have to. She was very attentive throughout the entire planning process and made me feel confident that there would be no unexpected issues to deal with on the day of the wedding. She thought of everything, even things I didn't think of! I cannot stress enough that this place is a hidden gem in a world of expensive wedding venues and you will not be disappointed if you choose to have your wedding here!

The Elks was the perfect venue for our wedding. We are a same-sex couple living in Edmond, OK, and love the town of Gloucester. When we decided to get married, same-sex marriage was not legal in Oklahoma, which didn't really matter because we were determined to get married in Gloucester. Even though we obviously live far away, we were able to send Jolie's mother and aunt there to check it out for us. We communicated frequently with Deborah King, The Elks event coordinator, who helped us book the venue and make all the arrangements. Deborah was extremely professional and eager to assist us, with her number one desire being to help us have the perfect wedding. She also coordinated with our caterer, gave us an itinerary, and stayed in contact with us during our 9 or so months of planning. The weather cooperated perfectly for our outdoor ceremony, and the venue was perfect. Deborah led us through rehearsal the evening before, kept us on task, and did most of the decorating the evening of our wedding. She was always right there when someone needed something, from decorating to photos to the caterers, DJ, guests, dinner, clean up. The venue and view is absolutely beautiful, the people are very kind, the upstairs brides room is super functional. Top that off with the wonderful assistance and personality of Deborah King and it's a must-have venue!

The Elks at Bass Rocks was an amazing place to have our wedding ceremony and reception, even in November. Regardless of the season, the view of the ocean is beautiful. The venue is lined with big windows that allow you to feel as though you're outside while still enjoying the indoor comforts. The layout was perfect with a slightly elevated floor to oversee everything and plenty of space. The event director, Deborah King, was amazing during our wedding and ensured that everything went well and smoothly. She was always willing to work with us with whatever we wanted to do and offered really good suggestions. She was on point with everything and easy to communicate with. There's no doubt that our wedding went so well because of her efforts and help. We would definitely recommend this venue for other weddings, no matter the season.

The Elks at Bass Rocks is a Hidden Jewel. Deborah was the most amazing wedding Coordinator, and she helped to make our dream wedding a reality. It could not have been more perfect, from the Outdoor Ceremony with the beautiful Atlantic Ocean as the backdrop, to the amazing photos on the Rocks along the water, to the most amazing wedding reception following the ceremony. Not a detail was missed and Deborah kept the night flowing allowing us to enjoy our special day. Months later our Friends and Family are still taking about our Wedding at the Elks! Our wedding at the Elks on October 2nd was absolutely perfect! We worked with Deborah, and we couldn't have been happier with the entire process - her experience in the wedding industry is invaluable! She was available whenever we had a question and always kept our best interests in mind. On the day of the wedding, the weather was absolutely horrible, and Deborah called me first thing in the morning to talk about moving our ceremony inside. I was obviously bummed because the view and ceremony location outside is one of the major reasons we fell in love with this venue - but Deborah assured me it would still be great. In the end, the set up for our ceremony inside was still absolutely beautiful, and being inside made for a much more intimate and cozy experience for everyone. Plus, the waves crashing on the rocks out the window behind us still made for a great view!

We had a very dark/Nightmare Before Christmas-ish theme for our wedding, and we dropped all of our quirky decorations off the day before. Deborah and her staff set everything up perfectly and truly made the place ours! Despite the weather, our wedding day was an absolute dream and a night we'll never forget! I would recommend the Elks in a heartbeat to anyone looking for a beautiful (and affordable!) wedding by the ocean!

Our wedding was held here in June 2015. The Elks Wedding Coordinator, Deborah, was excellent! At our 8 week out meeting, all my worries were put to bed. Deborah and the caterer (Creative Catering) were pro's and already had answers for my list of questions. They have seen it all, so had lots of advice and tips for us! Most of the correspondence with the Elk's is via email, but Deborah was pretty good about answering the mail. The rehearsal went smoothly - although on the day of the wedding, I don't think anyone was prepared for the high energy level of all the guests! Deborah did a fantastic job, trying to get guests to take their seats so we could start on time - but it was a battle! Dancing started as soon as the first note was played (Band - Brandy) - and it didn't stop all night! Our wedding day was better than I could have ever imagined it to be! Deborah was on top of everything throughout the night (decorating the hall including lights on railings, taking care of late gift cards, keeping track of open bar limits, guests that were having a little bit too much fun, rallying the bridal party for introductions, and probably more that I still don't know about!). I am still getting compliments on the facility and how beautiful it was. You can't beat the ocean view and the pictures we had taken across the street on the rocks are amazing! You may think that a ceremony out front may be distracting with the cars going by - but I really didn't notice it (until one car beeped and congratulated us as we were doing our vows). The one think to know about the Elks is that there is no drinking alcohol outside on the deck. Because it is an Elks, the drinks are less pricier though than a hotel bar would be, which helps with an open bar.

The name "Elks"may sound a little generic to most people when they ask where you're reception is but this is not your average Elks Club. The view is unbeatable... not to mention the price. When we looked at the venue we didn't even have to think twice.
We had 148 guests attend... buffet style dinner, a ton of dancing and amazing pictures in the front yard. Everyone was so impressed by the view. At first, I was a little annoyed that you have to choose from their list of approved vendors but now I see why. They have a high standard for catering services, we chose to work with Vinwood. Everyone was so full and satisfied I didn't even think we would be able to dance... but we did.
The wedding coordinator we worked with was Deborah. She was spot on with everything we wanted and I really felt like I could trust her with my decorations and set up. I was blown away when I walked in. I have zero negative comments to add to my review of this venue.

I recently held my wedding at the Elks at Bass Rocks, Gloucester. Even though the coordinator changed after we signed the contract, I was extremely satisfied with my experience. The coordinator, Bronwen, was professional, responsive and organized.

The day of coordinator, Faye, did an outstanding job. She was easy to talk to and worked well with my other vendors. She was there whenever I needed her but never obtrusive or in the way.

My day went off without a hitch and I credit both of these women.

As far as the venue, I don't believe you can get a better deal than here. We did the ceremony as well as the reception here. There is plenty of parking, the views are amazing, and the room is both gorgeous as well as neutral enough to go with any décor. I highly recommend the Elks at Bass Rocks!

Bronwen Mckenzie was outstanding in her efforts to make our daughter Stephanie wedding what the grooms father referred to as the wedding of the century. It was truly amazing and it was due to her ability to make sure every detail was followed. We had a lot of requests for detail and she made sure every one of them was executed perfectly. The setting was tremendous as we had the wedding ceremony performed on the lawn and every aspect of the ceremony and the reception was professionally mastered by Bron. We thank-you for being such a professional and articulate coordinator. We thank the ELKS for providing such a gorgeous setting.

This is a beautiful spot to get married! Stacey, the Event Director, is amazing! She is very organized, professional and is on top of everything. We had the ceremony outside on the lawn. It was perfect for our smaller wedding, although I think it would accomodate a larger wedding as well. Everyone commented on how beautiful the venue was!

All brides wanting a perfect and reasonably priced wedding ceremony and reception should seriously consider The Elks at Bass Rocks! My daughter was married there on 9/21/2013 and there is absolutely nothing at all that we would have changed. STACEY DEXTER is an outstanding and amazing event manager and no one would need a wedding planner if they reserved their reception at this venue because of her professionalism and attention to detail.

Cocktail hour prices were very, very reasonable and the event space was perfect for our group of 130. Stacey worked closely with our friends who had created unusual centerpieces that involved a bit more work for the Elks servers than is customary. Although we were a bit late in delivering needed items for the reception, Stacey remained very calm and helpful so that everything was ready on time. Any question that I had concerning time management of the event was an issue that Stacey had already addressed. She was so "on top of" things, that a last-minute decision to have a friend videotape the wedding led to that friend being closely questioned by Stacey to insure that he had been legitimately hired by my daughter. She knows at all times what the engaged couple expects to see at their wedding and she insures that they are happy! My husband and I cannot even find words that adequately convey how pleased we were with the entire event.

The venue is beautiful and the location is quite impressive: nine tables are located along the wall with wide windows overlooking the ocean. Also, the event space is well-divided so that there is plenty of room for dancing as well as room between the tables for everyone to mingle. Stacey worked very well with our band and caterer so that everything was perfect. Thanks, Stacey, for making my daughter's wedding even more wonderful than I could have ever imagined!

This is an absolutely wonderful place to get married! Book it without hesitation! The Event Director Stacey will help guide you from start to finish, she is creative, very organized and enthusiastic and will stay on site also through the entire wedding night. The location on Bass Rocks is perfect. The banquet room has windows all along the front wall. Everything is newly painted. Parking is very easy! It's handicapped accessible also. I can't imagine a more perfect venue. We did the wedding outside on the lawn and we had an onsite rehearsal with Stacey the week earlier to go through it. I don't even know where to being. From my first phone call to set up a tour to my wedding day, the staff at The Elks at Bass Rocks were amazing. Both Bron and Stacey are incredible. Stacey was our event coordinator for the day of wedding so we worked the most with her, however Bron was there to answer any questions on days Stacey was out of the office. Bron also showed us the venue for the first time. This is not your typical Elks. The view of the ocean is breathtaking and the layout and design of the hall space is prefect for weddings. Stacey helped with every moment and even brought some things to my attention that I could have slipped over. The rehearsal went smoothly and Stacey ran everything beautifully. The day of the wedding was absolutely amazing thanks to Stacey. She was on top of every detail. She went above and beyond what I could have ever asked of her. Everything was set up just the way I wanted it. She was very punctual and made sure we started on time and ran on schedule so we could get the most of our day and enjoy time with our family. She even went as far as to pick up my father in law as he was walking along the ocean to join us to get announced into the room. She was by my side at the right moments to help me have the best day ever. I would recommend the Elks and Stacey to any bride looking for that perfect space by the ocean to celebrate their big day.

I highly recommend the Elks at Bass Rocks as a wedding venue. Not only is the venue absolutely amazing but it comes with an incredible event director Stacey Dexter. I cannot began to say enough about how she made my whole wedding experience one I will never forget. Stacey was always only a phone call or email away and would respond so quickly each time. Stacey was so receptive to all of our dream wedding ideas and would also give her own recommendations to make our day the best it could be. At even the most stressful of times Stacey always put a smile on my face. She was easily approachable and was always there to help. The night before my wedding the forecast was looking grim, Stacey never lost hope and keep my spirits high. It did turn out that I needed to have my ceremony inside, but that day it didn't even matter. Stacey and her staff made the venue look gorgeous for my ceremony, the lighting was perfect, the flowers looks amazing and everyone loved it. To this day I receive comments from my guest about how amazing the ceremony was. I really cannot speak highly enough about Stacey and the Elks. If you are looking for a wedding venue on the ocean with gorgeous views in a beautiful beach town than the Elk is for you!

My husband Peter and I had our wedding at the Elks last November and had a wonderful experience working with Stacey Dexter and Bronwen McKenzie who helped make sure everything went smoothly. They helped set up all of our specific handmade and vintage decorations perfectly. It was my dream wedding and we couldn't have asked for a more gorgeous location and better team to work with! Aside from having my own wedding there, I am also a professional photographer who has worked with The Elks on numerous occasions. The Elks is a fabulous location and great team of people to work alongside. I will continue to recommend this venue to my clients.

We had our wedding on Saturday, July 6, at the Elks at Bass Rocks. Our guests came from near and far and all were blown away by the beautiful views and sunset. Stacey and her team are excellent, sweet, and fun! They truly wanted us to have a great wedding. They have thought of everything that will help you throughout planning and they made sure our night went perfectly every step of the way.

Our wedding at The Elks at Bass Rocks was amazing. We were so happy we chose the venue we did...it was perfect!
Stacey was also wonderful to work with. She worked with us for a year and a half and was so incredibly helpful the entire time!!! She made the whole planning process, which is usually stressful, a breeze!!!
I am still having guests tell us what a great time they had at our wedding!!!

We had our reception at the Elks at Bass Rocks. Everything was perfect and we highly recommend it to future brides! Stacey Dexter the event coordinator is super on top of things and kept in contact with me during the planning period. She recommended a lot of our other vendors and her recommendations were all fabulous! The view from the Elks is beautiful and our pictures over the rocks were great-- an amazing place to get married!
