Staff was excellent and pro active. Made sure I was happy throughout the day. Food was amazing! As the bride I didn't eat much, but what I did eat was great. My guests raved about the food for a week! Roof top was AMAZING!

Words truly cannot describe how amazing the Edgewater is. The staff, the service, the ammenities, the location... they were all so perfect. We worked closely with Meghan and she was outstanding. She made things as easy as possible, especially since we were planning a Wisconsin wedding while living in Ohio. They take their weddings very seriously and make sure that you have the absolute best weekend. Our wedding guests said that this was the best wedding they've ever been to, and were raving about the food. Meghan took care of every last detail as the event coordinator - she even knew our favorite drinks and brought them to us after the ceremony. When we got back to our room after the ceremony, there were flowers, champagne and chocolate strawberries up there for us with a handwritten card from the Edgewater staff. They made our wedding weekend absolutely perfect. This is a top-notch business that I can not recommend highly enough. We definitely are planning on making the trip back to the Edgewater for our anniversary.

If you want an iconic, elegant wedding, the Edgewater Hotel is the place to go. We had our wedding there January 12th, and they exceeded our expectations. Shae, the wedding coordinator, is beyond exceptional. She anticipated issues, and had options to deal with every possible scenario. Staff went above and beyond to make our guests feel welcomed. My brother has a deathly seafood allergies, and everyone watched out for him. The venue is absolutely gorgeous and the lake view rooms are exquisite. We had our entire weekend of events there, including an intimate rehearsal dinner. The food was outstanding. I highly recommend The Edgewater for your special day!

Getting married at the Edgewater was an absolute dream! It was our number one choice of venues and it was everything we could have wanted and more! We had so many crazy and over the top ideas for our wedding weekend and Shae and the Edgewater staff made every one a reality. Shae was so unbelievably helpful, responsive and supportive throughout the entire process. She never said the word "no" and always found a way to make our requests happen. We had over 200 guests staying at the hotel over a number of days and they made every one of them feel at home. The entire staff is welcoming, kind and made us feel like part of the family. The venue itself is absolutely stunning but the hospitality is what puts it over the top. We hosted a wedding and two additional parties over the course of the weekend and Shae did not miss one detail. She made all of our visions come to life and was always available to talk us through everything and find ways to make any request work. She and the entire staff made our wedding the absolute best weekend of our lives and we cannot recommend working with them more. We feel so lucky to have gotten to celebrate our wedding at the Edgewater and can not thank Shae and the team enough for making all our dreams come true!

My husband Josh and I worked with Shae Sepic from the very beginning and we absolutely adored her! She was always one call away and very good at letting us know if she was going to be out of reach at any time! The Edgewater was beyond a dream come true for us. We would highly recommend!

We loved working with Shae at he Edgewater for our wedding ceremony. The planning on our end wound up being last minute and chaotic on our end but we always had help and answers and flexibility when we needed it. Our service was always above and beyond and we recommend the Edgewater for a wedding or any other event for that matter!

We tried in vain to find a way to have you allow us to take leftovers home.
We would have happily signed a waiver of responsibility rather that have all of that great food go to waste. There are people within blocks of your hotel who have nothing to eat.
We were very disappointed by this.

We got married on Friday May 19, 2017 at the Edgewater and could not have asked for a better day. We worked closely with Michael Stapleton, our edgewater wedding concierge, leading up to our big day. Working with him was such an enjoyable experience and made the stressful wedding planning process seem much more manageable (especially with us living out of state). The day of the wedding everything ran smoothly thanks to their professionalism and skill in creating an elegant atmosphere....they went above and beyond our expectations and our wedding could not have felt more perfect for us.

My daughter and fiancé were from out of town , so I thought planning would be a little difficult. Michael was ther every step of the way. His professionalism , expertise , and knowledge of the planning process were superb. She had a beautiful wedding, everyone had a good time. I would highly recommend the Edgewater.

They were amazing. Michael was very responsive even to the smallest questions we had. On our day they made us feel like were the most important people they have dealt with. We had a few special accommodations we needed and they went above and beyond to meet every single one. It was the most gorgeous venue besides.

Don't hesitate for a second, best venue, staff and service. My Husband and I toured many venues before we booked our perfect venue (The Edgewater) for our February 25th, 2017 Wedding. No other venue compared with The Edgewater's beauty, service, food, professionalism and price for our 270 guests. I remember Michael Stapelton taking us on the tour of the Edgewater and realizing right then and there that THIS was the place for our daughter, Mary and Ethan's wedding. The hotel and all the facilities are beautiful, not to mention the stunning location and views - I just knew our guests would love it! When Michael asked if we had a planner and I told him Cherry Blossom Events, he said he loved working with them. I just thought this was going to be great experience. AND IT WAS ! IT WAS SPECTACULAR !

Book without hesitation! The Edgewater, Michael Stapleton and all the staff are perfection. This venue is simply made for weddings. Not only is it beautiful and perfectly located in downtown Madison, you have lake views and everything about the space is just as convenient for guests as it is beautiful. Michael executes weddings flawlessly. He is a true professional, extremely reliable and he also has outstanding taste. I never had to worry about a thing! I loved the Edgewater and everything about the set up. The outdoor courtyard, on-site hair and makeup services/spa, outstanding food and drinks, I could go on and on. If you want to get married in Madison this is really the most perfect venue. 10/10 experience!

Th Edgewater was a dream to work with. Michael was our coordinator and he worked with every single vendor to make sure everything was set-up and run perfectly.

The food was incredible and they were able to work with us to establish a customized menu including a great vegetarian option and completely gluten free entrees. We're still getting comments about how great the food was!

We ended up going with The Edgewater in part because of the beautiful view & dining room, but also because of the great service. We were very well taken care of, and even when there were questions, they were sorted out quickly and efficiently. With so many people traveling in, we knew we wouldn't have a whole lot of help the day of or before our wedding, and Michael and The Edgewater staff got everything set up perfectly.

All of our guests had an incredible time, and I know a large part of that was because of The Edgewater's work behind the scenes!

To say we were happy with everything doesn’t begin to describe the level of professional and polished service that we received and the beautiful rooms we used during the course of my daughter's weekend. We started out our planning with the Wedding Concierge Michael Stapleton back in January, and we finished up the last few months with Shae Sepic, and she carried us through the final planning and oversaw everything on the big day. And Shae nailed it all so very perfectly ! Her attention to detail for the entire event was beyond compare. We started the wedding day with yoga overlooking the lake, used services in the spa, had cocktail hour in the Nolen Gallery and outside on the Terrace, held the reception in the Grand Ballroom and morning after brunch in the Wine Room by the Statehouse Restaurant. Every room was beautiful - along with our guest room. I would unequivocally recommend The Edgewater as a perfect place to host a wedding. They provided us with fantastic recommendations for DJ and flowers as well which made our planning even easier. The memories we made are priceless.

Oh my gosh, the Edgewater was absolutely a dream to work with! We worked with Michael Stapleton for almost the entirety of our planning, and he was fantastic. We had a large-ish wedding (220 guests), the majority of whom stayed at the hotel, and it was so easy to alter our block and conduct all our wedding business with the Edgewater.

The facilities are beautiful, and the ballroom is a gorgeous place to have your wedding. All of our guests raved about the food (both the kids and adult meals), and we actually were able to eat during our reception as well, and everything was great. The bartenders were super friendly and accommodating, and everybody had a wonderful time.

The only downside was the spa- even though staff there are incredibly accommodating and friendly (especially Heather, who was wonderful), the quality of service wasn't the best (chipped gel manicure on two nails within 3 days, blowout that wasn't very good). I'd suggest bringing in your own people (as we did, in a suite, which was perfect).

Aside from that, I have zero hesitations in wholeheartedly recommending the Edgewater to anyone who is looking for a ballroom wedding venue. We currently live in DC, and had so many East Coast residents telling us how wonderful/beautiful/high quality the hotel was (not always easy to impress those folks). I can't say enough about the Edgewater, we are so happy that we chose them! Michael and his team went above and beyond to make everything perfect, from putting our engagement pictures in the media wall circulation, to making sure that we got the biggest bang for our buck with catering, we were in honest, helpful, and wonderful hands throughout our entire planning process.

I would tell them you couldn't find a more beautiful venue. The Plaza, Nolan Gallery, Ballroom and of course Lake Mendota Views can't be beat! Even if the weather is inclement, you still have a beautiful ballroom and lake views, so no need to stress about that.
Then, I would tell them they will be well taken care of by The Edgewater's exemplary Wedding Concierge, Michael Stapleton. Michael was absolutely outstanding. His attention to detail, knowledge, experience and professionalism far exceeded our expectations.
Our experience was unique, in that my daughter initially hired a wedding planner, to help ease our burden of stress planning a Wisconsin wedding from the east coast where she lives with her fiancé. Six months before the wedding, after months of frustration with her unreliable and erratic behavior, she was terminated and we were prepared to go forward on our own. This is where Michael came to the rescue! He supported our decision, jumped right in and seamlessly took the reigns moving forward. He was organized and efficient, a great communicator, always making sure we were all on same page. After meeting with him (post wedding planner), I walked away feeling a huge sense of relief. He instilled confidence that everything will be wonderful, gave me reassurance every step of the way and NEVER EVER made me feel like I was a bother. He responded to every phone call and my sometimes lengthy emails, promptly. He never left us hanging, which was a welcome change from our earlier negative experience with a privately hired wedding planner.
Michael Stapleton is the consummate professional. My Daughters wedding was absolutely beyond beautiful. Everyone raved about what a fun wedding we had! Anyone who has the great pleasure of working with Michael, will greatly benefit from his vast experience and calm, courteous professional manner. Our wedding was next to perfection thanks to the experience and care we received from Michael and the entire team! They know their stuff so well, don't be surprised if they appear with an answer before you even ask the question. The Red Crown room was the PERFECT venue and we along with our guests had the BEST time. Cannot say enough positive things about the Edgewater team... Icing on the cake was the food was exceptional! Michael and his staff were very attentive and professional. They truly went above and beyond handling our special requests for the reception. Every venue we used at the hotel was perfectly arranged and the food was beautifully prepared and presented. We had many out-of-town guests who thoroughly enjoyed all the amenities of the hotel. The Edgewater Hotel is the most beautiful wedding venue in Madison.

Our daughter was married on June 18, 2016, after which we hosted the reception at The Edgewater. The weekend was, quite honestly, magical. I can think of no better venue at which to celebrate the union of our lovely daughter to a fine young man.

The Edgewater has a storied history and the elegant Art Deco style of the Great Gatsby. It has all of the essential elements for a lovely reception. The location on the water is spectacular, with a beautiful outdoor terrace just outside the floor to ceiling windows in the ballroom. On a beautiful evening, the sunset over the lake is stunning, and a perfect spot for breathtaking photographs.

The Edgewater really has it all…the ballroom was beautiful; our meal was amazing and matched by the incredible service. Our meal was a choice of filet, chicken or salmon, all of which were served hot and delicious. We received many compliments on the meal, particularly on the incredible filet mignon. The service also merits comment. There were more servers than I have seen before at this type of event and a large group of them would descend upon a table, wait until everyone was positioned, and then serve everyone at the table simultaneously. It was a nice touch.

All of the staff were kind, polite and flexible. The valet and bell men deserve particular mention, they were very attentive and helpful.

The biggest reason, however, to choose The Edgewater for your reception is Michael Stapleton. Michael is the Wedding Coordinator and is incredible. He is experienced, organized and enthusiastic. Every time we would meet with him, all of us, particularly the bride, left with a sense of calm and reassurance that everything was going to occur as planned and, if the inevitable glitch occurred, Michael could, and would, solve it.

In summary, I cannot imagine a better wedding reception venue than The Edgewater.

This is an incredible venue! My son, daughter-in-law, and I planned a small wedding ceremony here in less than 3 weeks and everything went off without a hitch. The venue was held on the terrace of the Red Crown room overlooking Lake Mendota before sunset. We had about twenty family members watching the actual wedding. After the wedding, the staff had a champagne toast for all family members ready to go. The other guests arrived at 7:00. We had appetizers passed by staff for 45 minutes. Because of the short time frame, we had carving stations and a taco bar with fish rather than a sit down dinner. There were about 65 guests. The service was excellent and the food was great. Everyone complimented the service and taste of the food. We purchased the wine and beer package for three hours. The staff allowed us to make choices as to the types of wine we could offer. There was champagne as well and several beer choices. The bar service was excellent and the bar area was beautiful at sunset. Also, there was a cash bar for guests who wanted mixed drinks. We purchased a cake and brought in flowers and I was allowed to come in and set up decorations an hour before the event. The staff worked to hook up music and a photo presentation of the bride and groom. The bride came up the elevator which opened out onto the deck over the lake. Guests could eat when they wanted and move from inside to outside thru the large expandable glass doors. It's truly an unbelievable view and the beautiful night weather didn't hurt either!

I booked a room for my husband and I and for my son and daughter-in-law. We both received wonderful upgrades. The rooms were incredible. I made gift baskets for the bride and groom and the staff delivered them to their room prior to arrival. The most amazing things is we got all of this for an extremely good value!

Wedding date was May 9, 2015. A whole year ago and it we talk about the event almost everyday, It was the best decision we made to have my daughter's wedding reception at the Edgewater. It was first class the whole way from Check-in to Check-out we were treated like Royalty. Quality of Service was outstanding through the whole process- we met with Michael Stapleton several times before the wedding and each meeting was well organized and made each request a reality. All question and concerns were responded to in a timely manner and they became our best ally in making suggestions to make it the most incredible event. The food was fantastic and had several people say it was the best steak they EVER had. Even our kids and special Vegan meals were delicious. This was a destination wedding for us so the majority of our guests stayed at the Edgewater. The Edwater Staff worked with us in getting our block of rooms together and very comomodating in reserving special rooms for the Bridal party. Room service was fantastic. Bridal party ordered Breakfast food while they got ready and it was delivered hot and on time. Overall service was a class act and I highly recommed anyone to booking their wedding at the Edgewater. When giving your daughter the dream wedding of her life it melts my heart when she and her husband say that their wedding at the Edgewater was the most fantastic day of their life. I owe it to the professional staff at the Edgewater for making it all happen.

We got married in the Red Crowne Club (2nd marriage for both of us & we are 50+) it was a smaller event. We had just under 100 guests & heavy appetizers/carving station. The room size was perfect - cozy but we wanted it that way. Only about 50% of the guests were able to sit for the ceremony, others stood at high top tables. Michael did a great job meeting with us several times, accomadating all our requests & making sure the event went off without a hitch. Between ceremony & serving food they were able to get the room resetup for the rest of the evening in a timely matter. For that small of an event we felt the service was fantastic, the room was great & the views were amazing. It would be perfect for a summer wedding where you could use the outside patio. The coordinator for that evening checked in with us when we needed more food & the bartenders kept up with our "thirsty" friends. Overall for the price & the venue -- we would do it again in the Red Crowne Club. Great room for any kind of party/celebration with around 100 people.

Everything was perfect for my daughter's wedding at the Edgewater. We used the outdoor plaza and tent. Perfect setting, well worth the cost. 235 in attendance. great AV system and support from all departments at the hotel (valets, front desk, reservations, waitstaff). Wedding poobah Michael Stapleton at the Edgewater is the best. He really understands service and was very helpful in making decisions. He's all hands on deck and nothing went unnoticed. Used the Nolan Gallery and surrounding outdoor patio after the wedding while the wedding party took a trolley to the capitol. A signature cocktail was well done and there were plenty of bars to get a drink (always one of my frustrations). We did all-vegan food and chef Joe nailed it. Food stations were fun and the food quality and availability were just what we hoped for. The young people went to the Skybar after the reception. Much better than having them filter downtown. Breakfast the next morning in the Red Crown room. What a grand place. Thank you Edgewater!

Michael Stapleton was extremely helpful. He was very engaged and attentive throughout the process of our two wedding events (rehearsal dinner and post-wedding breakfast event) and during our stay at the hotel.

We were very pleased with the Edgewater for our wedding and reception, and as a hotel for our out of town guests. The staff (in particular Michael Stapleton) was excellent to work with, and detail oriented. The food was also very good for "wedding food." Our guests found the accommodations very comfortable and enjoyed dining in the Statehouse and the bar area.

The Edgewater is an elegant, beautiful spot to hold a wedding. Super convenient to have the overnight accommodations, spa services, ceremony and reception venues all at one location. The food, drinks, and service were excellent. Great staff to work with. Prices are higher than at a lot of other venues, but does not fall short on quality. Also hosted a post-wedding breakfast there which was lovely.

We worked with Shae Sepic, Wedding Sales and Catering Manager, from initial inquiry through the wedding weekend, and she was fantastic. We really appreciated her knowledge, diligence, candor, energy, and flexibility. Both bride's and groom's family and friends came from out of town, many guests were staying at The Edgewater, and the ceremony was held at The Edgewater - it was not just a reception site. This made things a bit more complicated than just having a reception. Shae and her team were very professional in dealing with all the questions and overcoming the occasional problems that arose along the way. They were very good in accommodating special touches suggested by our wedding consultant and providing invaluable advice in suggesting outside vendors such as florist, DJ, Photo Booth, Dessert Pies and so forth. The Edgewater is a very popular venue for a number of events, meetings and wedding receptions. The team from The Edgewater demonstrated a great deal of effort, professionalism and flexibility in making sure the wedding and reception was what we wanted - the truly enjoyable and memorable event that it was. We could not be more pleased with how it all turned out.

The Edgewater hosted our wedding in August, and it was better than we could have ever imagined. Michael Stapleton is an incredible wedding concierge. He was very attentive, detail-oriented, and took care of everything we needed. We met several times beforehand, and he was in close contact with all of our vendors. We are still receiving comments from our guests about how well-organized and beautiful our wedding was and how incredible the food and drinks were! The guests also enjoyed the spacious rooms with gorgeous views.

We had a pretty large wedding with 300 people so it was held in the Grand Ballroom overlooking the lake. Part of the balcony overlooking the lake was reserved just for us. We first had our ceremony in this room, then our cocktail hour was in the Nolan Gallery Hallway right outside the Ballroom while the staff turned around the room for our reception. Everything was set exactly the way we discussed previously in our meetings. And it was such a beautiful moment when my husband and I walked into the ballroom after it was all decorated.

If you're planning a wedding in Madison, I would highly recommend doing it at the Edgewater with Michael and the rest of the event staff.

There is no other place in Madison to have a wedding - guests loved it and quality of service was five star! We had several last minutes changes that were ALL handled quickly and professionally!

We held our wedding reception at The Edgewater last Labor Day weekend. The weather cooperated and we couldn't have asked for a better setting than The Edgewater. Following our wedding ceremony (off site), we had a cocktail reception in the Nolan Room and on the terrace. The cocktail reception was followed by dinner and dancing in the ballroom. Then we had our after party in the Red Crown Lodge on the rooftop of the hotel. Our experience was overall pleasant with much thanks to the Catering Manager, Michael, who helped us with every last detail. He was very accommodating with our preferences which allowed us to have the day that we envisioned rather than a wedding reception like all of the others at the same venue. You definitely pay for the setting and quality of food/service, but we feel it was worth it in the end - many of the guests went out of their way to comment on how smooth everything went and how beautiful everything turned out.

Michael Stapleton and the Edgewater Hotel were absolutely fabulous in planning and hosting our wedding. Michael is a class-act exhibiting incredible professionalism, years of experience and is very personable. He made us feel comfortable and confident in our planning, which is extremely important when the couple has so many other things to worry about. Michael made our special day for the bride & groom and our families. He ensured that all of our wishes came true and more.

The Edgewater Hotel has incredible views, beautiful indoor and outdoor facilities and wonderful rooms. The outdoor terrace is great for wedding ceremonies, cocktail hours or family time during your important weekend. The views of Lake Mendota from the ballroom and outdoor terrace are one of the best in Madison. We (and many of our friends) were able to capture priceless pictures that hang in our homes. I would strongly encourage couples to consider utilizing the Edgewater for their celebration.

Michael took care of everything! He provided excellent service and the day was perfect. If there are any questions, he had the answers.

Very responsive day of. Plenty of delicious food and excellent service. Even helped a mother find a place to pump. Would choose them again!

We had a beautiful wedding reception in the Edgewater's Grand Ball Room. Top notch service and attention to detail. We had a wonderful experience working with the wedding & catering manager Meghan, she was great at answering all our questions and helping us make our dream wedding a reality. We did have some complications with the guest room booking for the weekend, it was a lot more complicated and time consuming on our end then it needed to be. I would defiantly recommend having your wedding at the Edgewater, so worth it!

What an amazing experience! Shae is incredible ... very on the ball, SO friendly ... really, everything (and more!!) we could have asked for. The Grand Plaza and Grand Ballroom, of course, are stunning venues and we are still getting compliments on the food. Just avoid the Edgewater Spa if you don’t want a whole lot of extra stress before your wedding.

Michael was a gem!! We were looking for a ceremony venue only and what we were offered was great! Our ceremony time changed and Michael was wonderful about adjusting our contract. Whenever I had a question, I received an answer withing a reasonable amount of time. Sometimes it did take 2 - 4 days to hear back, but a guy has to have some time off and nothing was ever urgent. Our ceremony was moved inside due to weather but Michael made sure everything went off without a hitch!The ONLY thing that was a bit of a hassle was when we went back the next day to retrieve our arbor and a few other things form the wedding, it was a bit chaotic trying to find someone to help. Plus we were referred to as "the parents of the wedding" but didn't feel the need to correct the young man that we were in fact the couple!

Shae Sepic and her team at the Edgewater delivered a great ceremony and wedding for us and impeccable service for our entire experience. Once my fiancé and I had decided on the Edgewater, we knew we would have a great event! Wedding planning is definitely not without it's ups and downs, and we had all of them during the lead up to our wedding. A few examples: The entire hotel became booked up after we had signed the contract and made our deposit, but we changed the date, no problem. Their executive chef position turned over between our tastings, which turned out to be a good thing because now they have brought in the best to keep the restaurant/catering running a tight ship. We had a second tasting to make some corrections in one of our entrees and they really went out of their way to make sure they provided top-notch food and service. They had some growing pains as people have said in other reviews, so I was a little apprehensive about what might come up after we committed to holding our wedding there, but it is all about the process and we were happy as we got closer to our wedding date knowing they have made a lot of improvements and were committed to our event. As I said, Shae is great, very easy to work with, and always gave us honest answers and kept us informed about changes. She had to handle taking on all of the hotel's events when the lead wedding concierge left mid-summer(!), but she was always cool, calm and collected.
We chose the Edgewater partly to be married outside by the lake and we were able to hold the ceremony on the terrace. They have limited ceremony times and be aware that the wind blows strong through there a lot of the time! Thankfully it went perfectly! Our rehearsal dinner was up in the Red Crown Room - amazing views! I also wanted to say how fantastic Kelly and her team are at the Salon. I was very uncertain on hair/makeup vendors...the makeup was stunning!! My hair stayed put through a whole day of heat and a bit of wind!

The venue was absolutely beautiful and stunning!! We had a great time working with Michael Stapleton. Our wedding turned out very beautiful and we are very pleased. The food was incredible and we heard continuous comments on how delicious it was from our guests. The service was amazing that they served the entire table at one time. There were only a few misunderstandings but the staff acted promptly to get it straightened out with no hiccups. It was a great experience and we will definitely be back to celebrate our love.

We had a wonderful reception and prep day and experience here, but we did run into some hitches along the way. Nothing too major but mostly around the communication across the departments and room service and booking the rooms so our out of town guests had rooms with the rate that was setup. All in all, fantastic wedding day!

The Edgewater is a wonderful location to hold a wedding. It was very important to us to have the ceremony and reception in one location and for the food to be fabulous - the Edgewater did not disappoint! We heard many guests comment how it was the best food they had ever had at a wedding! The Grand Ballroom with the view of Lake Mendota as a backdrop was perfect for the ceremony and there was plenty of space for guests during the brunch reception. The bridesmaids and bride had their hair and makeup done at the Edgewater Spa prior to the ceremony which helped make the morning run so much smoother. Our one main complaint from the beginning of planning to the actual day of would be the lack of timely responses we received from the spa manager and the coordinator - as a couple planning the wedding from out of state this added more stress during the final 3 months of planning than was necessary. Overall though, we are very happy with how our special day unfolded and thank the Edgewater staff for all of their hard work and for making our wedding day so wonderful!

The Edgewater is absolutely stunning. We were looking for a venue that would make it easy for our guests - so we had ceermony, cocktails, dinner and after party all in one location - where guests could also stay. We also didn't want to put a lot of time/effort into the decorations - because the Edgewater is in such a stunning location on the lake, and the venue itself is so beautiful, we really didn't have to do much at all! If I were rating the Edgewater based on the venue and the Michael (wedding concierge) alone, I would have rated it a 10 out of 5. Michael was absolutely amazing, we loved working with him and he truly made our day something we'll never forget. The only reason we rated a few areas lower were because of our experience with the spa (the booking/coordinating, NOT Jenna the head stylist, she was also a 10 out of 5!) as well as their accounting teams. We had to stay on top of both the spa and the billing, as there were many mistakes/miscommunications on their part. However, aside from that I would absolutely recommend the Edgewater. They are still fairly new (in the new space) and I can only image are going to continue to be amazing.

The Edgewater was willing to make our evening special and unique for what we envisioned in having a small wedding.

I was one of the first weddings at this venue. There was a lot of turnover in wedding coordinators at the beginning, which was frustrating. However, once they hired Michael it was a much smoother process. He was great to work with and made sure my wedding day went off without a hitch. This venue is absolutely beautiful right on the water and was nice for us to have everything in once place so guests didn't really have to leave.

The Edgewater was incredibly annoying to work with. In the 12 months we spent planning our wedding reception, we worked with three different event coordinators, and the handoff of information from one to the next was minimal. The staff gave us little to no guidance on when we should begin to plan certain parts of the reception such as dinner choices and overall timeline. We had to initiate all contact after we booked the space. They were incredibly unresponsive and missed every single deadline they set for themselves. I would not hear from them until a week after their "deadline" and that was only after I called multiple times for an update. To top it all off, they booked two other events in our space for the morning of our wedding, and would not let us set the reception hall until 3pm for our 5pm wedding and 6:30pm reception.

The venue is beautiful and the food was delicious (we got many compliments on both), but the lack of professionalism and helpfulness added a lot of unnecessary stress to the wedding planning process. Generally, I would not recommend using The Edgewater as a wedding venue, but if you love the space, you can succeed in having a beautiful wedding there. Just be prepared to keep track of everything yourself and frequently follow-up with the staff to assure that everything gets done to your satisfaction.
