Beautiful wedding venue

The Driskill is a beautiful wedding venue only outdone by the customer service. From the first walk through, the menu tasting, signature drink assistance, valet, check in and banquet services -everything was amazing. Paige Kramer anticipated all of our needs and help make the bride (and groom’s) vision a reality. Flawless.

Beautiful Space & Amazing Staff!

We had our wedding at The Driskill last night, and we could not be happier!

To start, the space is gorgeous. Our ceremony was in the Crystal Room, and reception in the Victorian Room. Both were perfect. The Driskill accommodated all of our vendors, and they were so kind to our guests.

Paige & Lily supported us throughout the planning process, held a tasting, secured us a prep space, and helped us make good decisions for ourselves and for our guests.

The service we received on the big day was impeccable. The staff was thoughtful, kind, and made us feel so welcome and special. We received so many compliments from our guests about the food, the bar, the service, and the lovely space.

Choosing The Driskill as our venue was the best decision, and I highly recommend it!

Amazing location with exceptional service!

Lily was exceptional to work with and very patient with me and understanding of my hectic schedule. The staff working in the Cafe to assist with our reception were exceptional as well. Lily and the wait staff made our special day even more perfect than I could have ever expected or imagined!

Traditional, Historic, Classic, Beautiful wedding at the Driskill

In the mid-1990s, my mother and I attended my cousin’s wedding at the Driskill, and it was so fabulous that I told my then six-year-old daughter: “When you grow up, I want you to get married at the Driskill.” Fast forward to this past Saturday, and the dream came true.

Planning during Covid was a challenge. We had to postpone the wedding for 8 months, but the Driskill, and the wedding coordinator Kristin Davis, shepherded us through every decision and answered every question, no matter how trivial or redundant. The Driskill also took care of Covid protocols to keep our guests safe, and yet we truly threw the party of the decade (at least so far). In a strange way, the fact that we could even have the celebration, with so many vaccinated, made the wedding even more joyous.

The setting: so beautiful that you can save on flowers. The interior is so beautiful and historic.
The food: Chef Jose is amazing. The food was incredibly delicious, and we were able to offer five choices of entrees.
The bar service: Such great service that the bartender poured my second Aperol spritz before I had to ask.
Dancing: There’s a separate ballroom for dancing, which is fabulous because it allows for those who would rather converse a quieter place to do so while the dancers can have at it.

If you love history and tradition and a full-service wedding venue, the Driskill is perfect. I know outdoor weddings are the rage, but after Covid, who wants to worry about something else they can’t control, like the weather? Our guests also loved staying in central Austin. I can’t recommend the Driskill enough. I am so grateful.

a DREAM venue and staff!

Our wedding ceremony and reception at the Driskill were a dream! Not only is the Driskill one of the most historic, beautiful and classy venues in Austin, but also home to the best staff and top notch customer service. Katie and Kristin were professional, responsive, creative, kind and so easy to work with. We wanted a southern menu and Katie helped us create an off-the-menu plated dinner with duck fat fried chicken! Our guests raved about the food! And, our signature cocktail was such a hit! Katie kept us updated on our room block list, and answered any and every question we had (and we had a lot) during the planning process! The day of the wedding everything went so smoothly and the staff exceeded our expectations with their kindness and service! Our attendant made sure our drinks were never empty and we had plenty of water. We are so thankful we chose the Driskill for our wedding and would HIGHLY RECOMMEND it!

Having our New Year's Eve wedding at The Driskill was one of the best decisions we have ever made! Living in Austin, we always knew of The Driskill's history - so when we got engaged, we thought we should check it out for a venue. Well, once you see the Mez Ballroom - you won't want to look elsewhere! There are also so many other rooms that come with the Driskill wedding package - including 5 suites the night of your wedding! We had a large wedding - 220 guests - and right from the start, The Driskill was amazing. I had the opportunity to work with both Hannah the first 6 months of the year and then Kristin the last 6 months of the year to help with planning. Both were top notch! Our wedding was definitely expensive and my parents had some questions along the way - every time we reached out to Kristin, she would respond within a few hours (even on her days off)!

The entire weekend of our wedding was magical - Kristin and the ENTIRE staff at the Driskill went above and beyond for all of our families/friends coming into town. The day of our wedding, the staff made me feel like a princess. I always had a drink in my hand, Kristin helped me fix my dress when anything went wrong, and they made our wedding party feel so at ease. You really don't even need a wedding coordinator (if you're organized like my mom was) because the staff here is incredible.

I cannot recommend The Driskill enough as a wedding venue - small, medium, large weddings - it's the best! Thank you for everything Kristin and team!

We planned a small and intimate ceremony in 5 weeks with the help of Kristin and the Driskill crew! Every single moment was wonderful and we truly could not have done it without their help!

My wife and I had our wedding at the Driskill a few weeks ago. It was amazing. The Victorian Room and the Crystal Room are gorgeous; the staff was on the ball and super helpful. The food was absolutely amazing.

The Driskill was the prefect wedding venue. We had the Mezzanine level for the ceremony and reception and it could not have been more beautiful. The service was outstanding! Coordination was seamless with Hannah and her staff. They went above and beyond to make the day special. If you don't want to worry on your wedding day, this is the place to be in Austin. Your guests will be treated to a first class event and you will be treated like royalty!

The venue was so beautiful I barely had to worry about any decorations besides flowers or anything special I specifically wanted displayed. Hannah was the event coordinator and I could go on for days about how helpful and professional she was! She made sure my dream wedding was exactly what I got and, most importantly, within budget. Anytime something was too close for comfort according to budget she offered me many solutions on how to reduce cost and still achieve what I wanted. She suggested things I may have never thought of, and every time it was better than what I imagined. She was able to grasp my vision and style which helped in any situation where I was unsure of what I wanted or how to reduce cost. She also made sure that my husband and I had 15 min after the ceremony for us to eat our appetizers and enjoy officially being married!! It was a life saver because those moments with him let us remember how happy we were, to eat, use the restroom, and relax for a moment before all the craziness of photos, guests, meals, toasts etc. We also had our own attendant to bring us whatever drink/food etc we needed during the wedding. My attendant was available to help me in and out of my dress in the bathroom and even ran to find my mother/father when I needed them before the ceremony. As for the wedding night, we were greeted with chocolate covered strawberries, 4 pieces of our wedding cake and the top of the cake wrapped up and ready to go.

The staff & service was unmatched. I started to plan about 7 months ahead of time with the wedding coordinator on site named Hannah. She was so thorough, patient & really helped to explain the different options. The main location where most weddings and receptions happen at The Driskill is the 2nd floor Mezzanine. While that was beautiful and exquisite, it was a little too "grand" for my party of 120 people, & honestly, over my budget. Hannah worked out the budget in detail with me & met me at a place I felt comfortable, offering for me to use the fabulous two story Victorian Room.

The wedding day went off without a hitch, thanks to the attentive staff & positive attitudes all around! I stayed at the Yellow Rose Suite with my sister & the bridesmaids arrived the morning of the wedding to get ready together. We had hired two ladies to come and do the hair & makeup for all the bridesmaids/wedding party in our suite, which worked out perfectly. I HIGHLY recommend the Yellow Rose Suite because of the space it provided. The Driskill catered a delicious & beautiful buffet lunch.

We didn't have to even think about what our next move was going to be, because Hannah was there to guide us the entire way. My champagne glass wasn't empty all night long! It was the best service we have ever received. We felt like royalty.

Truth be told, we felt a little out of our league at such a beautiful & elegant venue, but Hannah never made us feel like we didn't belong or deserve to have our reception there. Even with all the budget restrictions, she worked with us with such grace.

I never had a "dream wedding" in mind. But I can't think of a single detail I would change! Thank you to The Driskill for treating my family and I to exceptional service and a night we will never forget!

We booked The Driskill hotel for our wedding nigh accommodations and the bar for our post-wedding after party space and could not have been more satisfied. It is a beautiful, classic Austin locale and we found it to be the perfect environment to showcase to our guests after a great evening--especially those who were from out of town. The staff was extremely friendly (Hannah and Marissa were lovely to work with in advance as we booked our room and the bar space for the after party, respectively) and we had an amazing time.

Talk about a magical evening. I fell in love with the Driskill when I first saw it. The staff is out of this world. The events coordinator makes everything so easy. There is no need for a full wedding planner when you have your wedding at the Driskill because they take care of so much for you. The food was incredible. My dad is still raving about his filet! we had about 180 guests and did a seated dinner and it was one of the best meals I have ever had. I think the guests all agree, as I keep hearing from people about the food and our gorgeous cakes from the Driskill bakery. I cant imagine there is a vendor that could have made our wedding more special, more romantic, or more elegant that the Driskill did. The most gorgeous hotel in Texas!

The Driskill made our big day completely magical and perfect. We wouldn't have changed a thing! We had the best experience with all of the Driskill staff. All very professional and really cater to your every need.

Our primary contact, Amanda Tofflemire, was from start to finish absolutely amazing. She went above and beyond to answer all of our many questions and make our day truly the best day of our lives!

They took our concept and vision and executed it exactly how we imagined. It was the best night of our lives, and the Driskill helped make that happen!

My fiancé and I walked into The Driskill Hotel and I just knew I wanted to host our wedding reception at this charming, historic, quintessential Texas hotel. We worked with Amanda who was exceptional. She was professional, extremely experienced, detail oriented, friendly and quick with information and follow up. She made the planning process with the venue very easy. The reception was absolutely magical. The room was stunning! We hosted the reception on the mezzanine level. One of the reasons I chose The Driskill was because the mezzanine was already so beautiful that I didn't have to spend a lot of time or money to dress it up with a lot of décor. And the staff was on it! They didn't miss a beat. Service was prompt and friendly. Dinner was GREAT! And Amanda and her team, along with our wedding planner, made sure I didn't have to think of anything. Our guests were treated wonderfully and all of them commented on how much they enjoyed their stay at The Driskill. I cannot thank Amanda and The Driskill enough for making our day one we will remember for the rest of our lives. It truly was a fairy tale reception.

Since I was little I dreamed of having my wedding at the Driskill. So much history and such a beautiful building. They just don't make them like that anymore. The service was absolutely wonderful. Every member of the hotel staff is kind and courteous. From the valets and bellmen to the concierge and desk attendants. The food was unbelievable! I swear that I got more compliments from my guests about the tenderloin than I did my dress. A+ all around. Every bride should consider this for their wedding.

The Driskill Hotel was my dream spot for a wedding. I never thought the date would be available since we planned everything in 3 months, or that it would be affordable on our budget.....but it was both! We had a smaller wedding, and we were one of 3 going on that night, but they took amazing care of us. Our catering manager was amazing. There is always going to be something that goes a little wrong, even with the best planning, and they were unflappable. The food was amazing, and the cake was better than I could have imagined. Our guests had a great time!

The staff at the Driskill were wonderful to work with. I received several compliments on the venue, as well as the FOOD, which was amazing... It's the perfect location for a small wedding (60-70) for an intimate sit down dinner. The wedding cake was delicious as well - and looked just as I had requested. I was very pleased with the hotel. If you can, also get the bridal suite for the evening!

The Driskill was perfect for our wedding! It is absolutely stunning on it's own so any decorations or flowers were just for our personal preference. Amanda Barone, the Catering Events Manager, was wonderful to work with-any question I had, request etc.... she was always willing to work with me. She was incredibly professional and knowledgeable. I could go on forever about how great her and all the staff at The Driskill was. Having my wedding at The Driskill was like a fairy-tale and Amanda helped make that happen!

This was the perfect place for my wedding ceremony and reception! I loved the food, the ambiance, the location, the history of the hotel, and this location fit my Victorian theme to a T. I absolutely enjoyed my experience with everyone involved from the catering department. The food was exceptional and my cake was decadent! I can only look back on this day with fond memories and I wish the day would have lasted so much longer!

Venue: unbeatable downtown location, beautiful, and flexible in terms of how you use the space (we did ceremony and reception in adjacent rooms)

Catering: delicious and, again, flexible (we had meal options to suit every need: meat-eater, vegetarian, gluten-free, and kid). They even customized the vegetarian option to my liking, making it wholly unique on their menu, and it was done without an extra fee.

Wedding cakes: both wedding and groom's cakes were delicious in addition to being the most stunning cakes we've ever seen. Both cakes were custom designs done to our specifications, and they turned out better than we ever imagined.

Contact/planner: Emily Taylor was incredible throughout the planning process as well as the night of the event. She anticipated needs, dealt with problems swiftly (and without involving me so I could enjoy the night), and responded to our every (sometimes totally unique and unprecedented) need. We couldn't have done it without her.

Honestly, everything was perfect. It was better than what I had expected, and I had some pretty high expectations. Wendy (my contact there) was super organized, very responsive, and beyond helpful. She's great to work with and really sweet. She was the day of coordinator and the entire night went flawlessly. The food is one of the major reasons we picked The Driskill in the first place, their chef is amazing. Everything was deliciousss. The design of my cake was just what I wanted and the grooms cake was a huge hit. Bonus: the cakes tasted even better than they looked. I could not have been happier with a choice of venue.

The Driskill is stunning!! I love this hotel!!
We were able to do the ceremony and reception in the same room because it was a 2 level room; which SAVED US MONEY! We did an afternoon wedding; which SAVED US MONEY!! We had our wedding right before Christmas so everything was decorated beautifully; which SAVED US MONEY!!
The food was incredible and absolutely DELICIOUS!! With all the money we saved, splurging some on the food was no problem.
They also throw in a free night in a suite for your wedding night!

The site is absolutely gorgeous! I got all of my catering through them, as well as my cake, and they did a phenomenal job. It was harder to pick the food than it ever was to pick out my wedding dress! We did a great fish dish with a vegetarian option, and everyone loved either dish.

Also, the cake was so popular (the rasperry pistacchio crunch) went over so well several of my friends decided to get their cakes from the 1886 bakery there. Their cakes are so much better than any normal, run of the mill white wedding cake. They really go above and beyond. They also looked at the bustle of my dress and used that as the design for the fondant.

The space in the driskill is incredible. We did the option of getting the grand room, the Jom Hogg Parlor, and the 4 deluxe historic suites. It was perfection.

Also, their wedding coordinator is an absolute doll. She is extremely easy to work with, and works very hard to make the entire event look effortless. The entire reception flowed smoothly with her help. She also was a great resource in finding the church site for the ceremony.

It was also extremely wonderful to work with them, because they provide any tables, bars, linens, chairs, speakers, and whatever else you could possibly want to rent. It made it very easy to plan being able to deal with just the people at the driskill.

We had our Anniversary/Vow Renewal/B-day celebration at The Driskill hotel and it was an incredible affair. I will cherish the moments and memories and details for a lifetime. It was an intimate but elaborate, fancy but fun evening filled spending time with loves of my life! The service and the staff were highly skilled. The food was so tasty, the tasting was so fun! And, we had two guests with sever food allergies that they took care of for us. The beautiful venue impressed all of our guests. We had both our ceremony and reception at the Driskill and everything was beautiful! The hotel itself is one of a kind. We worked with two coordinators as one had to go on maternity leave. They are very professional, patient, and get back to you very quickly. One issue we had was that there was no coordinator or supervisor during our reception, so that stressed us out. Overall, they were great and took very good care of us through out the planning process and on our wedding day. The wedding could not have turned out more beautifully!!

The Driskill was the perfect place to have my wedding. The venue itself was exceptionally beautiful, but on top of that the event staff was 5 star. Why 4.7 stars then? We had some issues with our room block, or rather, we had some issues getting the staff to book our guests' rooms properly, and the after-regular-hours staff didn't seem to know that we had a room block and weren't able to change it or book rooms in it.

That being said, everything about the EVENT itself was PERFECT. Scott (the Catering Manager) is absolute perfection. He is VERY responsive, polite, accommodating, and intuitive. He and I barely spoke about what I wanted in a cake until the week of the wedding (that was my bad) and he pulled out the most gorgeous cake I have ever seen. Seriously, he was AMAZING.

The valet staff were awesome too! We rented a VERY expensive exotic car for our getaway, and they took great care to make sure everything went well and the car was well cared for.

The catering staff prepared all the food to 100% perfection! Seriously, everyone keeps telling us how amazing the food was. It is no small fete to prepare food for 150 people without it tasting like "catered food" but it was soooo good. I just wish I could have eaten more!

The service staff is ON POINT. The head catering waiter was right there with me and my husband all evening making sure that we were well taken care of. There he was, ready to make sure there was a drink in our hands and food in our mouths during and in-between photos, and all during the reception. It was really 5 star all the way.

In summary, the only negative thing about the experience was just the few issues we had with our room block, and had NOTHING to do with the wedding itself. Everything else was absolutely perfect. We are getting raves about the whole event! It's really true what they say, I wouldn't have changed a single thing. The Driskill is truly a one-of-a-kind hotel. We felt like royalty. :)

The Driskill is the most beautiful and elegant place to have your reception. We loved it. The only problem we had was that we were a little disappointed with the cake. The bottom layer looked large in proportion to the other layers. Also, our first two contacts there took positions elsewhere so we had a total of 3 contacts and an temporary contact. It stressed us out a little. They were all wonderful though and took very good notes to pass on to their replacements. Our final contact Emily pulled off our reception flawlessly though. It really was our dream wedding reception. So beautiful.

The Driskill hotel is a FANTASTIC place to get married. The entire staff was pleasant and accommodating... besides one person. My wedding consultant was HORRIBLE. I would never recommend working with her. I met with her to discuss the logistics on January 16th. I did not hear back from her until the END OF FEBRUARY. This is after repeated e mails and phone calls. She showed up on my wedding day 1.5 hours late. We couldnt reach her on her cell phone and nobody knew where she was. She should be fired. Other than that, the hotel staff is very helpful and courteous!
