Before I started looking for dresses, I saw a dress on Instagram (“Mishell” by Dany Tabet, a less well-known and rarely stocked designer), and knew immediately that I had to try it on, along with several other of his designs. Unfortunately, no store within driving distance to me carried the dress that had stolen my heart. I contacted The Dress Theory, which did carry a few Dany Tabet dresses. They confirmed that none of the three dresses I was interested in were in stock in their store, but immediately suggested that they could have samples of all three delivered to the store directly from the designer for me to try on. I ended up visiting 4 other bridal shops in two states before my appointment at the Dress Theory. As soon as I walked in, the dresses they had delivered for me to try were hanging at the front along with the other Dany Tabet dresses they do regularly stock. I was so happy to try on dresses that finally made me feel like a bridal version of myself!!! After I knew Mishell was my dress but before I put it on for the last time to say yes, they even let me play dress-up in a few of their more unique dresses so my dress shopping experience could last just a little bit longer! I can’t thank the girls at The Dress Theory enough for their incredible service, for tracking down my dream dress for me to try on and eventually order, for styling me with a beautiful Sara Gabriel veil, and for making me feel so celebrated during this process. I couldn’t have felt more beautiful on my wedding day thanks to them. -

Kira Sent on 06/26/2016Very personal and special experience searching for the perfect dress. They had an amazing selection of designers that were not you typical poofy white wedding dresses. I ended up with Claire Pettibone's Kristene, which wasn't cheap, but was so incredibly lovely. I felt like the most beautiful version of myself on my wedding day! The ladies at The Dress Theory were also very helpful and understanding when I was not 100% happy with my dress when it arrived in the mail. They reassured me and everything ended up just fine. -

Unimpressed and left feeling embarrassed and frustrated. If you are a size 10 or more cross this shop of your list. This store did the bare minimum, I was the last appointment of the day and it showed. The dress assistant made it seem like my budget was the problem which was $3,700 and I was told before hand that many of their dresses fell in that price category. Nothing was pinned right to help me see what it really looked like, everything felt like a size 4 or 6 and being a size 10 I should have not felt “large” (that is a normal size) and literally have most of my butt hanging out in a completely glass front store for the entire world to see. There wasn’t a single A line dress in my budget? The dresses looked cheap and when I voiced concerns I was met with silence. I had such high hopes and left feeling completely defeated. Not to mention the employee who “helped” me had her coat on to leave as soon I walked out the door.
