We had our wedding here and I could not recommend this venue enough!!! Everything went so smoothly and it was the perfect night!! We worked with Krystyna and she was incredible. Her attention to detail, organization, response time and commitment to making sure everything went smoothly was unmatched. We received so many compliments from our guests - the food, the setup, the hospitality and so much more. If you are considering this venue for a wedding, I would definitely recommend having it here and working with Krystyna!! She helped make our wedding day so special!! We had time of our lives and we wouldn’t change a thing!! -

Stunning & best wedding experience!
I recently had my ceremony and reception at The Drake - Oak Brook and it was the most stunning and perfect experience. First, I want to compliment Melissa on being an amazing human being from start to finish. Any question I had, she would hop on a call or send me an email immediately. For instance, I had a random question I couldn’t fall asleep without sending & she emailed me back within minutes at 10pm. She goes above and beyond and checked on me all throughout the entirety of my wedding planning process and my wedding day, even providing me her own speaker for my getting ready room. When selecting vendors, you need to think about who you want in your corner on the most important day of your life, and Melissa is that person. I cannot say enough about her, she is truly dedicated, caring, professional, and thorough. The drake gives you a world class experience, I think the pictures don’t even do it justice of how beautiful the space truly is. I’ve been complimented a million times on how great the food was, how the guest rooms exceeded expectations, how phenomenal the entire staff was the whole night. Everything truly worked out perfectly, I love the Drake and I can honestly say they made my dreams come true. Wedding Day Perfection!
Our experience at The Drake was incredibly special! From the moment we had our tour, we loved how friendly everyone was and how beautiful each space is. We met with Melissa, who was very kind and truly a lifesaver! She helped us create our dream wedding, and we can’t thank her enough. Melissa was our primary contact leading up to the wedding, and communication was always prompt. Our questions were answered quickly and effectively. On our wedding day, The Drake staff was very helpful and attentive, making sure everything went smoothly. The venue is absolutely stunning, and everyone did everything they could to make this the best day ever! I cannot say enough good things about The Drake. From the minute we booked, I knew we were in good hands. We started and ended our wedding journey with Melissa, and she is absolutely a saint from above. We couldnt of done the past 22 months without her. She was attentive, understanding and responsive. If I couldnt get what I was trying to say over email, she was a quick phone call away. The first time we were talking she told me " I will not tell you do something that I wouldnt do personally' And from that moment I knew were in good hands. It is so easy in the wedding industry to be taken advantage of, and I truly felt like Melissa was our friend. Through the whole experience everything was seamless, and when rain was showing on our wedding day and Melissa and Anna (banquet/catering manager- who is absolutely amazing) did everything in their power to wait until the last minute to make the call. While it is unfortunate we had to move our ceremony inside, we picked the Drake because the rain plan was just as beautiful. They flipped our ceremony into our cocktail hour in 10 minutes flat. Everyone loved and still raves about the food. The steak, truly melts in your mouth. Wine glasses were never empty, and our plates were quickly cleared for the next course. They even moved our. head table after the dinner, to make a bigger dancefloor, and I still to this day never even saw them move it, that is how quick they were! A glass was dropped and before anyone could get someone to clean it, someone came out and had a mop and broom to clear it. They knew what we needed it, before we even knew we needed it. The Drake truly goes above and beyond, and I would recommend them to everyone. I am so bummed the day is over, but I have 0 regrets with choosing them to be our wedding venue.The Drake Oak Brook, Autograph Collection's reply:

Best decision of our wedding planning process! Having our wedding at The Drake was a dream. Not only was our ceremony and reception area beautiful, but the entire hotel is beautifully designed and decorated. On top of that, the hospitality at The Drake is amazing. I felt so welcome and valued throughout the entire process, as did all the guests on wedding day. Karla was amazing to work with. She was very responsive, reliable, so kind, professional, and overall so enjoyable to work together with! The food is also AMAZING, and so was the bar. Best wedding venue
Our experience at The Drake was incredibly special! This was the first venue we saw and we loved how friendly everyone was and how beautiful the space was. We met with Karla who was very kind and truly a life saver! Karla helped us to create our dream venue and we can’t thank her enough. Karla and Jodi were our communication leading up to the wedding and it was prompt and we always understood the tasks we had to complete. Our questions were always answered quickly and with a response that handled our request. We had the most amazing wedding at The Drake! My husband and I were looking for a one stop shop for our wedding, and The Drake delivered! We held our ceremony outside at the Gazebo, our cocktail hour on the Veranda wraparound balcony, and our reception in the Three Oaks Room. Everything flowed perfectly and every corner of The Drake was gorgeous! Our guests were RAVING about this venue. From the food, to the convenience, to all the beautiful photo backdrops, we couldn't have asked for anything more. The whole staff (especially our coordinators Jodi and Karla) were extremely attentive, helpful, and easy to work with throughout the entire planning process. Beyond Expectations
I must share my experience with everyone looking to book an event. I wanted to say THANK YOU so much for an amazing experience this past weekend to The Drake Oak Brook. I will need to recognize all the staff from The Drake on an Amazing job. Hosting our 25 Year Wedding Anniversary at The Drake was the best decision. I have absolutely no complaints whatsoever. The staff and everyone involved in making this event happen were absolutely AMAZING.
I cannot thank them enough for helping me through this process that turned out beyond expectations for us and all our guest. All our guest were raving about our event and The Drake made this happen.
I appreciate their time, effort and multiple phone calls to make this event happen. This anniversary party was better than our actual wedding. We enjoyed every minute.

I fell in love with the Drake when attending high tea in 2018. I knew that the Drake was where I wanted to have my wedding. What I did not know was how truly amazing the staff is at the Drake. We worked with Jill Hare who is incredible, a joy to work with. She responded to emails promptly, never made me feel like I was bothering her with my million questions and was always so kind and sweet. The day of we worked with Anna who was also amazing and so easy to work with. I got ready at the Drake, Anna and Jill made a point to check on me several times which truly meant a lot. The food at the wedding was AMAZING!! Everyone is still talking about it. My husband and I also ate at the restaurant for dinner and breakfast and we were blown away with the food. We had a waitress the night before the wedding, we talked to her for over a half an hour and we ended our meal with hugs, she was the sweetest. Our hotel room was also beautiful, we were gifted champagne and a fruit and cheese tray as well. If I had to plan another wedding, I would hands down choose the Drake Oak Brook. I promise you will not be disappointed. Smooth & seamless planning. Great Execution.
I highly recommend the Drake Oak Brook. Planning a wedding for 250 guests in less than eight weeks is no easy task, but Michael Dubina and the fantastic team at the Drake Oak Brook made the whole process smooth and seamless. Here are some of the highlights of our experience.
1. Incredible Staff: Every person involved in the process was extremely attentive. Michael Dubina has a gift for planning and execution. He has a great eye for detail. The banquet captain, Niri, did an amazing job of keeping the staff on task and the wedding on schedule. He was readily available in case we had any questions or last minute requests. Finally, the servers provided quality service to our guests. They were there from start to finish. At the end of the night, they so kindly collected all the forgotten items and helped us get everything packed. Then less than 6 hours later, some returned to help with our brunch in the morning.
2. Great Food: A big kudos to the chefs. The food was DELICIOUS and left guests satisfied. Guests are still talking about the entrees and how they loved the late night snack of tacos.
3. Nice Location: 250 guests at 10 to a table fit very comfortably inside the Grand Ballroom. Access to the cocktail room and hotel bar gave a spacious feel to event. Parking was plentiful.
4. Decor: The chiavari chairs and chargers really took the decor to the next level.

The Drake made our wedding day spectacular! We started planning our wedding at the tail end of the pandemic with not much time to plan. 8 weeks to be exact! My husband and I are grateful that we chose the Drake Oak Brook Hotel to host our wedding reception on June 13, 2021! Michael Dubina was our catering sales manager. He did a phenomenal job coordinating our event from the very beginning. As you all may know, planning an event during covid is no walk in the park. To make things even more stressful, my husband and I planned our reception from out of state. Michael Dubina helped make things easier on us. He always responded to our concerns in a timely manner and provided helpful advice throughout the entire planning process. The food tasting was so much fun! Michael always cracked the best jokes and made us laugh the entire time. On the day of the wedding, Michael Dubina and the staff at the Drake Oakbrook did an excellent job coordinating the event. All of our guests absolutely loved the cocktails, hors d'oeuvres and food! We received SO many compliments. Our guests are still talking about our wedding! The light up dance floor was absolutely gorgeous ! I also want to mention that all of my guests absolutely enjoyed staying at the hotel! Overall our experience with hosting our reception at the Drake Oakbrook was AMAZING. My husband and I will truly miss laughing with Michael Dubina. The only feedback I want to provide is that we paid for top shelf and towards the end of the event my husband noticed that the bartenders were serving different liquor. We did bring this to the attention of the Drake Oakbrook. If you're looking for a reception event space with an awesome catering manager (Michael Dubina!), great hors d'oeuvres, and amazing food, LOOK NO FURTHER! We had our wedding reception at the Drake Hotel Oak Brook on 06/05/2021 and I can’t express how amazing it was. The space is recently re done and absolutely gorgeous. The staff was so attentive, the food was amazing, and they kept the bar lines moving quickly. There’s so many beautiful spots for pictures also. Michael Dubina and his team were amazing at guiding my daughter and I threw planning her special day. The beautiful ceremony room, gazebo and fountain made for beautiful pictures. The fireplace and bar also made for unique and very stylish photos! Attention to detail was definitely the theme of the night!! The food was amazing from appetizers to dessert! We were made to feel very special and we did not want the night to end!

The Drake hosted my wedding in November 2020. I had signed the contract with them almost 2 years prior to my wedding date. Cathleen Knobbe was our initial wedding coordinator who was easy to talk to, available when I needed her, a hospitality professional, and someone who I initially had a connection with. She was amazing. As you can imagine, continuing to move forward with a wedding during a pandemic was a stressful time for me. Almost everything did not go as planned, yet my new wedding coordinator, Karla Moctezuma, was there to help me every step of the way. Karla is professional, a very good communicator, accommodating, encouraging, thoughtful, and is focused. I couldn’t have asked for a better wedding specialist. She exceeded my expectations. Along with my now husband and my parents, we all felt like Karla did her job, but also went above and beyond to ensure we had our special and perfect wedding day no matter what the circumstances and all the changes that there were. Her and her staff, including David and Francisco, and many many more professional employees staffed at The Drake, made our wedding personalized, special, and fun.
If you are planning a wedding, check out The Drake! The culture and the environment is inviting and not to mention they just remodeled almost all of the hotel with a modern and contemporary twist. You will not be disappointed and your guests will be in awe and shocked on how nice the rooms are. My guests loved their hotel rooms.
The owners of the Drake, Telly & Jim Nagel, are regular people just like you and I. They are at The Drake often. Every time I saw them while visiting the venue, they greeted me and treated me like I was in their home. One time, Telly even offered me a cup of tea! They are the nicest and cutest couple.
Thank you to Karla and The Drake Family for being accommodating, professional, and hard working so that my husband and I had our special wedding day that we planned for 2 years. I already recommended a few other brides to be to The Drake and will continue to recommend. I will also be a loyal customer and continue to come to the Drake and host other events there too!

Absolutely fantastic! The staff is incredible, the food was outstanding, and the price was great! We booked here very last minute since COVID-19 forced us to abandon our initial wedding venue. We planned our wedding for almost two years when all of a sudden Covid hit and changed everything. For months we hopped that things would go back to normal, but they didn’t and next thing we knew we were a month away and had to find a new venue. We decided to run up to the Drake and talk with them and we were plesantly surprised. They were very accommodating and made every effort to make our wedding the best day of our lives. We hosted our wedding on 10/10/2020 at the Drake Oak Brook hotel and it was like a fairytale. The staff was very responsive, on time, and professional. She actually kept me calm throughout the planning journey by always telling me “please don’t worry about anything and go rest” :)

I have been to several events at The Drake Oak Brook over the years so I always had them in my top 3 options for eventual wedding reception venue. When planning time came around we set up time with Cathleen and LOVED our options. It was a no brainer - Drake Oak Brook all the way!
Cathleen and Gina and the rest of the team gave us a white glove experience with lots of help and guidance from start to finish on our journey. I felt so special and completely trusted their management of every detail. I just know there were thousands of moments that probably had to be addressed to make the reception a success that I never heard about and they just took care of it all and then some. It was perfect.
This is such an emotional, happy, and special journey - you want genuine and interested people to be part of your vendor experience - the team delivered on this for me. And they were just fantastic!
My goal was to have my guests satisfied with food and beverage - and I have heard nothing but great things from every guest. It did not matter what people ate - they loved it all. No one left hungry. As the bride and groom of this show, we even ate!
You won't go wrong with hosting your wedding or other events at The Drake Oak Brook. -

I cannot say enough wonderful things from how the staff at the Drake made our wedding incredibly special. From the moment I had first messaged them through WeddingWire, through the clean up the day after, their whole team was a dream to work with.
To begin with, the place was in the middle of some incredible renovations and the hotel transformed piece-by-piece leading up to our wedding day. From our initial visit to our wedding day, we witnessed small and big changes that made us fall in love with our venue even more. The gorgeous carpet in the Three Oaks Room made it seem even larger than before and the gorgeous fixtures in the lobby updated the space significantly. For the traditionalists, the charm that the Drake is remembered for is still there – the service is still remarkably impeccable. Robert at the front desk greeted everyone in our wedding, including my husband and I, like we were old friends. Catering manager Anna is a dream and is prepared for all types of events and her staff, especially bartenders Oscar and Jose, are knowledgeable, friendly, and efficient.
Also the food — WOW! Our tasting was incredible and the food served at that intimate setting was the same quality, if not even better, during the wedding itself. It's been a few months since our wedding, and our guests still cannot not stop talking about how delicious everything was.
I think what really makes the Drake stand out is their incredible management staff that's dedicated purely to weddings and events — Cathleen, Michael, and Gina. They responded even to my most ridiculous emails, suggested incredible vendors and set-up solutions for the space, facilitated set-up and clean-up, and made sure our guests felt incredibly pampered. Cathleen was the person I was in contact with since the beginning and was even there throughout the wedding, single-handedly setting up the small details for our wedding, coordinating EVERYTHING with our vendors, making sure my family, my husband and I were taken care of in the morning, and even facilitating a rain plan. My mom and I had debated for the longest time wondering if we should hire a day-of coodinator for our wedding, but we didn't need one at the Drake since their team is dedicated head-to-toe to making sure your event goes well.
I've relived my wedding reception over and over again since we got married. I cannot imagine marrying my husband anywhere else. From the moment we visited The Drake, visiting their friendly staff, enjoying the beauty of the space, knowing every detail will be professionally taken care of, I just knew this is what we had dreamed of for our big day.

We could not be happier with out choice. Our guests loved having access to three rooms throughout the night: The Veranda, Three Oaks Ballroom and Flower Room. Each of the rooms was individually stunning.
The banquet staff, led by Anna were efficient and friendly. Our bartenders - Jose and Oscar were full of personality. Oscar showed off some dance moves and Jose made up a tasty concoction that everyone loved. They really do mean unlimited hors d’oeuvres during cocktail hour. It was nonstop. Dinner was amazing too - we would highly recommend the filet and the Chilean sea bass (which our guests said "was scrumptious"). We splurged on cocktail shrimp as the dinner appetizer. It was worth it - our guests LOVED them and cause some friendly bribes going down and people vied for non-shrimp eaters portion. The evening ended on the electric dance floor which was so much fun.
Throughout the year, we worked with Cathleen, Michael and Gina and we cannot say enough about how great they were to work with. They are responsive, attentive, patient and accommodating. Gina was our "day of" coordinator and she worked her butt off to make sure that everything went smoothly, even squat walking to stay hidden whiling trying to coax a crying 2 year-old away from the alter.
We hosted a brunch in The Flower Room the next morning. That was another amazing experience. Anna did an amazing job re-purposing our reception flowers for our guests' brunch tables - it was nice to get double use out of them. There were so many food options! Even if you don't select The Drake for your wedding - I'd definitely make it there for Sunday brunch - its like a holiday meal on a random Sunday!
For the last year, we visited every month on the 22nd for a drink and had the opportunity to meet so many of The Drake's staff. While a handful of people have been highlighted above, we cannot say enough about the overall service of everyone. They are friendly, helpful and engaging. We look forward to continuing our tradition of a stopping by on the 22nd and planning a one-year anniversary brunch with our friends and family. Thank you Drake! -

As a bride, the goal is to have a venue with a team that you can trust and rely upon, and that supports and understands every idea you want to capture on your wedding day. The Drake, especially Michael, provided so much more than that and we were absolutely thrilled with every interaction we had with the Drake. From the first meeting, to our tasting, to our actual wedding reception and many emails in between, we were blown away by the responsiveness and support of the Drake. Honestly our experience with The Drake Oak Brook could not have been better. We booked our date about 11 months in advance, and were immediately kept up to speed about what to expect and when to expect it. We worked almost exclusively with Michael, who could not have been more responsive to all of my questions and concerns. All of my guests raved about the food, the space is stunning, and the coordination went off without a hitch. Having a one stop shop venue proved to be invaluable. We had our ceremony, reception, cake, and dinner all in/from one place, making our planning much less strenuous. My husband and I would recommend The Drake Oak Brook to everyone looking for a venue -

I just had the wedding of my dreams and can not even think of a single problem. The entire staff at the Drake Oak Brook went above and beyond especially Michael Dubina!!!! All of my guests have been raving about the food quality, the band, dance floor, amazing service and the undeniable Classy Elegant wedding venue.I coordinate large scale events for a living and also went to culinary school...... I am a very very hard critic of weddings. The entire experience was flawless. I will be recommending the Drake and Michael to everyone. -

While a wedding can be stressful when it is not managed well, we didn't experience any frustration as Cathleen and her team led us through every step of the way. On the day of the wedding everything was perfect: linens, dance floor, food/beverages, and most importantly, service. Everyone who attended our wedding continues to compliment how great the food and service were at The Drake Oakbrook.

Michael Dubina and Cathleen Knobbe are the most responsive, personable, detailed, professional individuals when it came to planning and organizing. Every email, every phone call, was answered the same day, sometimes within minutes. Michael is especially detailed oriented and will have multiple spreadsheets and planning documents to keep everyone on track, it was so easy to work with him! Our wedding was Mardi Gras themed and we were able to incorporate custom foods created by their Chef into our menu and the colored light up dance floor made it even more amazing. I can't thank them and the Drake enough for making our day so special!

Emily Sent on 06/07/2018I had my wedding reception at The Drake Oak Brook on 5/19/18 and it was perfect, absolutely exceeding all of my expectations. The venue is so beautiful! We had our cocktail hour in the Flower Room/ outside veranda and dinner in the Three Oaks Ballroom. I had over 180 guests and the space fit everyone perfectly. I received so many compliments from my guests on the food (we had Filet Mignon, Chilean Sea Bass, and Vegan Pasta- all delicious!!) and the venue itself. I had plenty of space to get ready and take pictures with my bridesmaids in the morning, and we took some bridal party pictures near the beautiful gazebo before the reception. The light up dance floor was a big hit with my guests- it was so fun! We had many guests stay overnight and they loved the rooms. I very much enjoyed working with Cathleen and Michael during the planning process- they were always available to answer any questions we had leading up to the day and made sure everything ran smoothly the day of. They are truly great at what they do. I can’t thank The Drake Oak Brook enough, my wedding was everything I dreamed of and more :). -
