She was incredibly punctual, professional, and such a joy to be around. On a very stressful wedding morning, her calming presence and encouraging words brought so much peace and reassurance. My makeup was absolutely flawless — elegant, timeless, and beautiful. I felt like a princess and completely confident on one of the most important days of my life. It was hard to find.. but then my boss told me about you guys and what a miracle!!! The communication was great for my trials, and I felt like such a princess on my wedding day thanks to Tatiana and Priscilla! My bridesmaids, mom, and mother in law also loved their hair and makeup so much!!! They looked stunning. You guys listened to the specific details for how we all wanted our hair and makeup to look. Priscilla is magic! She brought the best energy to the entire morning of my wedding and made getting ready so much fun. I am soo happy I booked her for my hair and makeup. I had an amazing experience with the wedding hair and makeup team! From the very beginning, they were professional, responsive, and truly listened to what I wanted. During the trial, they took the time to understand my style and made adjustments so everything felt perfect.
On the wedding day, they were organized, calm, and made the entire getting-ready process so enjoyable. My hair and makeup turned out absolutely beautiful—exactly what I envisioned but even better. It photographed perfectly and lasted all day and night through tears, hugs, and lots of dancing.
They also did a wonderful job with my bridal party, making everyone feel confident and stunning. I received so many compliments, and I’m so grateful for their talent and attention to detail. If I could give Destiny & Light a million stars, I would. From start to finish, their team was professional, incredibly responsive, and beyond talented. As someone who has been a bridesmaid in two weddings before my own, I was nervous about the usual wedding morning chaos—delays, rushed final touches, and hair/makeup looks no one was truly happy with.
But Destiny & Light completely changed that narrative.
They ran exactly on time, never felt rushed, and every single bridesmaid walked away feeling beautiful and confident. My girls kept commenting on how great they looked—and even more impressively, how well the artists brought out each person’s unique features. It wasn’t one-size-fits-all beauty; it was personalized, flattering, and flawless across the board.
And then there’s Emma. Emma did my hair and makeup for both the rehearsal dinner and the wedding day, and I truly don’t have enough words for how amazing she is. I was so pleased and amazed at the talented artists. They exceeded all my expectations. The hair and makeup that was done for my wedding was absolutely amazing. Emma was my stylist ( I was the bride ) she was amazing, sweet and so pleasant. We also got the pleasure of having the owner come in and she was just as amazing. Emma, Priscilla, and Jackie slayed my wedding party of NINE hair and makeups! As a makeup girlie, I am incredibly picky about how my makeup ends up- and I’ll tell you what… I was over the moon. I went with a pink/purple full beat and Emma KILLED IT. All of them are incredible artists with even better vibes and personality. My wedding day was beautiful and having a 8am start with this team, 20 stars. The office staff is very helpful with all of your questions via email, just give them time to reply. I found Destiny & Light through the preferred vendor list from our venue at Lakewood Ranch Golf & Country Club and through a friend recommendation.
Emma was an absolute blessing to work with. I gave her inspo pictures and she immediately knew what to do. Her talent shined through not just at the trial but especially during our wedding day and I could not be more grateful. She made me feel so comfortable and was an instant friend. I could not recommend her enough!!

Hurricane Wedding
I had the privilege of working with Destiny & Light for my small wedding ceremony with immediate family. Despite being the weekend after Hurricane Helene, both team members Emma and Jackie communicated throughout the week to let me know they would still be available despite the hurricane. I had a couple girls who couldn’t make the flight due to the circumstances, but that was no issue for their team. They made everybody feel comfortable and look absolutely beautiful, and they were the ultimate hype team as well. Not to mention, they didn’t act inconvenienced to be there, and it made all the difference in the entire experience. I am so very thankful to this group. They are professional, kind, and extremely talented (nobody has ever made me feel as pretty as these girls did on my special day). 10/10 would recommend. -

I’m super picky about my hair and makeup, and they absolutely crushed it. Jackie was my primary person for my wedding and she made my Vision come to life, and made suggestions that really brought the look together. The day of my wedding the other person that was scheduled to help wasn’t feeling great, and they were considerate enough to let her stay home and bring in someone else ASAP for the health of all the bridal party. They didn’t skip a beat even with the bump in the road. Also just so nice and fun to work with! -

I had the pleasure of working with Priscilla, QUEENMAKER, of Destiny Light and Hair. She traveled with me alll the way to Tulum, Mexico for my wedding to service my bridesmaids and I. She truly became one of my friend’s after, even my guests have mentioned she is locked in! Her spirit during the wedding weekend was much needed. We did a look for the rehearsal dinner and wedding but she even went the extra mile to do my makeup before going out the evening for the welcome party! I received so many compliments each time she worked her magic. Wedding day exceeded my expectations and more; she stepped in to coordinate for me when there was a slight hiccup in photography timelines. From securing my date to the team arriving onsite was a breeze. This team has the best communication and makes booking services not only for the bride, but the bridal party so easy! They took inspiration photos and made dreams come true. Every bridesmaid was saying they have never been a part of the wedding where everyone’s hair and makeup was done so perfectly. For myself as the bride, when I saw the final results I had tears in my eyes. They were just the best group of ladies who came in and were having fun with us and made the day so special. Amanda was my stylist/beautician. She was prompt - arriving at my location a little before our scheduled time. She was professional and friendly (it was easy talking with her). Great service, organized planning, and AMAZING hair/makeup!
Destiny and Light, and my hair/makeup stylist Amanda, were AMAZING. They were so flexible and agreed to do a trial for me on a Sunday because I live out of state and that was the only time I could do one. They were very responsive to all communication and the schedule they created for the day of was so organized (I am a planner-type, so this was very comforting for me). Amanda was such a kind, genuine, and calm presence and my whole bridal party loved her. I love that she was able to meet us at the hotel to start in the morning and then was able to transfer to the venue to finish up later in the day. Not to mention my hair and makeup stayed put even in the Florida humidity and through getting rain poured on me! I cannot recommend Destiny and Light, and Amanda, enough! Book them NOW! -

Amazing and talented
D&L was amazing on my wedding day. Our beach wedding was cancelled less the 24 hours before due to hurricane Ian. When I called the salon in tears to see if my stylist could come to my home and do our hair and make at 5 am, instead, without hesitation it was a yes. I couldn’t be more thankful for everyone being so flexible and willing to still make me feel absolutely beautiful!! My stylist, Amanda was incredible the entire time. From my trial runs to my sadness on my wedding day of being in my backyard and not on the beach, she did everything with ease. She was also so kind to my dogs which was a bonus! Amanda made me feel like a princess! I am going back in a few weeks for her to do my hair and makeup again because we have to retake our wedding photos since my photographer cancelled. I can’t wait to see her and feel like a princess, once again! Thank you D&L and Amanda! -

I hired D&L for my multi event wedding in August 2022. They were amazing and made me and my bridesmaids and the moms feel beautiful! All of the artists were really nice and fun! Priscilla and Emma are the best!! The only annoying thing with communication is when you email, every time it sends back an automated response (saying thank you for your interest, and has dates they won’t be working that are usually already past). However when I sent a text, they responded quickly and were so kind! I would certainly use them again in the future and highly recommend them! -

I booked my hair and makeup for my wedding in May 2022 with Density and Light. My stylist was Angel, and she was just that! She took my ocean, beach-y, natural vision and was able to make it real with a very simple but elegant braided hairstyle. She also gave me the perfect mix of natural but elegant makeup. I don't often wear makeup in my everyday life, but I felt good in her hands and she made great choices for my look. She was fun to be around, professional, and flexible. Her and her teammate (I'm so sorry I do not remember her name but she was equally as delightful and deserves praise as well!) also did several of my bridesmaids as well as my mother, and everyone was very happy with their looks. Most of my ladies got different hair and makeup styles (as in there wasn't a singular hairstyle or look they did) and I think the team did an amazing job of making everyone look unique but cohesive, as well as make everyone's hair and makeup look good for their hair type and skin type. I would 100% recommend them for your event, you will not be disappointed with the quality or the personalities of your team :)

Amazing hair and makeup team and salon! I felt like an absolute queen on my wedding day thanks to Amanda at destiny and light. From the trial to day of, I had full confidence in amanda to enhance my natural beauty with a soft beautiful glam and to style my hair in a unique and romantic way, with me not having to worry about a thing! Amanda was professional, knowledgeable, and extremely talented with beauty along with easy to communicate with about any questions or tweaks leading up to my wedding day. She was able to take my inspiration and execute it, and then was willing to adjust small things to my liking regarding my hair, and with makeup she was able to enhance my natural features without overdoing it or making me look unlike myself. I also saw Jeanie in the salon to dye and install my hand tied extensions and she is extremely talented, professional and personable as well. I loved having my extensions and also enjoyed the installation which was relaxing and done correctly as to not agitate my head and scalp. Two more stylists Emma and angel worked on my bridesmaids for the day of my wedding and they all looked incredibly beautiful and loved their bridesmaids looks. I am incredibly pleased with the talent and time on my special day and beyond. My guests are still talking about how much they loved my hair and makeup! I did my trial with Amanda and knew as soon as I met her that I needed her on my wedding day! She listened to exactly what I wanted and made me feel so beautiful. I received many compliments throughout the night on how great my makeup looked and couldn’t believe how well my hair and makeup stayed.. The Best Wedding Hair & Makeup!
I had previously been a bridesmaid for my best friend who hired Destiny & Light in 2017 and absolutely loved the makeup and hairstyle they gave me, so I reached out to them for my wedding! Once again they did absolutely beautiful work and were such a pleasure to work with! The planning process was seamless and exciting. I had a hair and makeup trial with Amanda who also did my look the day of. I brought eucalyptus hair pins to my trial, which she placed perfectly, and even suggested adding baby's breath, which I did for the day of and it was the perfect touch! My hair and makeup look were even better than my vision—my eyeshadow color and braids got compliments ALL NIGHT! Amanda is such a gem with a great personality that's fun to be around. She, Amber, and Aruna also did hair and makeup for my bridesmaids and moms and everyone looked so beautiful! I can't recommend them enough—Destiny & Light is the best team! -

I used Destiny and Light for my wedding and the hair and make up artists did a fantastic job. I worked with Jackie, Amanda, and Sarai. I wanted non-traditional make up at my wedding- I wanted high fashioned looks because I love fashion. If I'm going to spend for hair and make up, I wanted it to be exciting.
Amanda did my hair and make up and I thought she took direction really well. I love white eyeliner but I'm aware it can look weird in photos, and I wanted to toe the line between weird and beautiful. After a few iterations in the trial, she helped me reach that. I was grateful for not only her technical skill, but her creative expertise. She was also able to exactly understand the "look" I was going for hair-wise- which was also a little non-traditional- and I was happy with her first attempt. I did a big-hair look and it didn't die throughout the night.
One of my bridesmaids is Asian and she was impressed with Sarai's work and said to write in my review that they are skilled in working with Asian skin and features (eg hooded eyelids).
Jackie also did a great job- especially on my mom. I was anticipating my mom being picky and complaining but that she did not do.
Jackie, Amanda, and Sarai all were perfect! I was a little worried that my alternative looks would not be possible and that they'd push me towards something simpler and easier but they enthusiastically went along with my concepts. We showed them the inspiration pics and they went to work! I heard no complaints from my bridesmaids and they all looked fabulous to me. They made me wedding co-opted into a fashion show reality! I might update this review with pictures when I get the professional ones back.

○ I decided to do my trial with Destiny and Light because several years ago my best friend used them for her wedding. And of course I was not disappointed with my trial. My trial was with Ashley who is super sweet and has a bubbly personality. We had hair and makeup done for 8 people in total (bride, 5 bridesmaids, and 2 moms). Unfortunately due to a family emergency Ashley was not able to be my hair and makeup artist on my wedding day BUT Jeanie reached out to me early that morning to let me know and tell me they were sending out another person in her place. Emma did all our makeup and wow is she amazing! She is a sweet heart and her love for doing make up really shines through in her work. She was able to recreate my makeup from my trial with Ashley from pictures that were shared with her from the trial. Jackie and Rene did an a beautiful job on hair and styled it so despite Florida weather it lasted all day and night! Jackie did my hair which is hard to keep a curl but my curls were still intact at the end of the night even after dancing in our open air venue. Between our three HMU artists all of us were ready on time as schedule to proceed with pictures. I 100% recommend using Destiny and Light after getting to work with them previously as a bridesmaid and now as a bride.

My family recommended this vendor; two of my cousins used them for their wedding. My wedding had been canceled twice due to COVID-19. My relationship with this vendor lasted about two years, from the hire date to my third and actual wedding date. We ordered hair and make-up for about eight people. I requested extensions in my hair, which they can do clip-in or tape in. I asked for tape-in for a semi-permanent solution. The original girl set up to do my hair claimed to be an expert at the task. She was rather rushed. The extensions looked horrible, and my hair was atrocious. I called them back the next day and sent them a picture.
The owner Priscilla was horrified by the ordeal and asked that I come in so she could personally fix this stylist's mistake. I came in again a couple of days later; Priscilla and Jeanie greeted me. They both worked to repair my hair. They took the extensions out, recolored them, put them back in, recolored my hair, and cut my hair again to frame the extensions in. It took eight hours total, but they were great as a team, and the end product was fabulous. My hair finally looked the way it was supposed to. Priscilla and Jeanie worked hard to make sure my hair looked beautiful and lived up to their salon's standards. I did not have to work with the previous stylist any further and was assigned Amanda and Olivia for my wedding instead. Amanda and Olivia were sent to cover my wedding, and these women are poise, talented, and professional. Our hair and make-up were flawless, and we had fun too. They were so easy to talk to and made the entire experience a memorable one. My hair held up the whole time, some of my bridesmaid's curls fell out, but we have pretty straight hair. Overall, I've had an excellent experience with this vendor. They are amazing and ensure the job is done right. I was so impressed that I kept going back and visit Jeanie for regular salon appointments. They do more than just weddings, and it's excellent! -

They don’t call her the Queen Maker for nothing! Priscilla and her team are SUPERB. I came with an elaborate Russian hairstyle and not only did Priscilla kill it, she happened to be mentored by the stylist herself, in Russia!!! (I saw the videos – it’s legit 😝) The atmosphere during the trial and day of was so fun and stress free. You’re already elated to be getting married, but Priscilla and her team bring a positive and energetic vibe that makes your wedding day even more special. Vanessa and Melissa were also there to help since all 5 of my bridesmaids, both moms, and 2 flower girls were getting services, and they did phenomenal! This magnificent trio had us all 100% ready - hair and airbrush makeup plus lashes ahead of schedule, with even a few extra minutes for light touchups after my husband and I finished our first look photos. Everyone looked beautiful and loved their services. The hair and makeup lasted all night too! The pic of my husband and I is after 10 hours of me being 100% ready, an outdoor ceremony on a super humid and rainy day, partying at our reception, and a couple of bars. You won’t find a team more committed and passionate about making you look and feel your best on your wedding day. -

Absolutely the Best!
Angel did my hair and makeup for my wedding on 3/27/21 and words cannot express how awesome she is! I wasn't super decisive in what I wanted - all I told her was that I wanted more natural-looking makeup and an updo. At my trial, she did such a great job consulting with me and making sure I felt comfortable with how everything looked. She even offered to take plenty of pictures on my phone for me so that I could remember and refer back to them the day of the wedding!
It was HOT on our wedding day, and we were ready to go 4 hours before the ceremony started. Everyone's hair and makeup held for the entire day with minimal touchups needed, if any.
She and Natalia also did hair and makeup for my bridesmaids. They arrived early to get us all ready in time and didn't complain once. They were super prompt... even though Natalia had a flat tire on her way to us, she was there on time and had a smile on her face the whole day. Talk about professionalism!
Words cannot express how much I loved working with Destiny & Light. I'd do it again in a heartbeat! -

Leticia and her team were absolutely phenomenal to work with! I had 6 bridesmaids, two moms, a grandmother, and flower girl all getting hair/makeup done and they made sure to get everyone done on time and looking FLAWLESS. I got my hair colored by Leticia a month before the wedding, and she got my color exactly how I wanted it. She also ordered me extensions and brought me two different options the day of my wedding just to be sure they were perfect! She got my vision of Hollywood glamour without the traditional wave, and I absolutely loved it. I came across Destiny and Light while searching for vendors on wedding websites. I was looking for a makeup & hair company that would travel to the hotel where my wedding party would be getting ready for the wedding but not break my budget. All of the reviews for Destiny and Light were nothing but amazing. But what sealed the deal for me was looking at the social media of our photography company. Almost every wedding posted by them – the vendor chosen for hair and makeup was Destiny and Light. I’m glad I followed the lead of these brides!
I contacted the company and less than a day later had a congratulations email for my engagement with quotes for service. For the artwork they do, the prices are great. I wanted to book my date, so I filled out the information for the contract and scheduled my Bride Trial. Their studio is not too far from where I live, and my trial took place just as Covid was being discovered here before all the lockdowns.
I was paired with Angel. In my opinion, that’s exactly what she is – an angel. I had an idea of what hairstyle I wanted, sort of a braid crown updo, but I just did not like my hair as a braid. Angel was super patient, and as we discussed my dress, we agreed a sleek updo would look beautiful as a whole. In all, it was 12 total services (hair and makeup) for 6 people.
On the wedding day, our timeline required the bridal party to be ready by 2pm so our beauty session started at 8:30am. Angel and Melissa were right on time. Angel focused on the hair for all the ladies while Melissa applied our makeup. We had great conversation and they both were so patient and kind to my Maid of Honor’s daughter (3.5 years old) and sometimes a handful. She normally never lets anyone touch her hair, but she wanted to look like a princess too, so Angel graciously offered to curl her hair. Our hearts melted.
Everyone looked like a million bucks, and I felt so stunningly beautiful for my special day. I even had a friend tell me at the reception that after seeing all of us, she was going to consider them for her own wedding. In all, Destiny and Light were communicative and prompt. Angel and Melissa are two of the kindest people I’ve had the pleasure to meet and are truly artists in this industry. -
