My husband and I got married at The Desmond this last November. We couldn’t have been happier with our experience. We even saw a couple touring the next morning and told them they HAVE to have their reception at the Desmond! We worked with Kevin, who made our planning process so smooth. He talked us through all the details and was extremely accommodating.

When my husband and I arrived at the Desmond following our ceremony, we were so pleasantly surprised to see Desmond staff waiting to greet us at the front door. Throughout the entire night, there were staff members attending to all of the details of the wedding and the needs of our guests- we truly got nothing but compliments after the wedding. Not only was the venue beautiful, but the service and food were amazing. As the bride, it really stood out to me how the Desmond took care of everything on the wedding day: set up, coordinating with vendors, carrying out specific details during the reception I had requested, and tear down at the end of the night… I didn’t have to think about a thing, other than enjoy the time with my family and friends. I would 100% recommend the Desmond for a wedding venue!!

We had our wedding in August 2025. The Desmond was a lovely space to have our wedding. The ceremony space and cocktail hour space are tucked away in the back and feel very private, but we also got to enjoy the benefits of the entire hotel. There is a beautiful garden atrium that is perfect for indoor pictures as well as outdoor spaces for a ceremony and pictures. The staff were amazing, everyone was so friendly and helpful. Our wedding coordinator was Kevin Kessler, he helped us tailor everything from décor to scheduled to budget to meet our needs. He and his team were super responsive leading up to the wedding, they would respond within 24-48 hours to every question even on weekends. Highly recommend!

The Desmond made our dreams come true! So many of my guests told me how much they loved the food and the venue itself. The staff were wonderful and extremely attentive to our needs. Karen Eubanks and Andy Davidson are truly THE best. They both kept checking in on us throughout the day, while we were all getting ready. They answered any questions we had, anything we needed help with they offered a solution. They were kind, caring, supportive, extremely professional, and had this process down to a science. We had our dress rehearsal there, the ceremony, and the reception. We felt confident going into the wedding day and knew we were in good hands. We chose for our dinner the buffet style, and it was hot, fresh, and delicious. I cannot thank everyone enough. All the banquet staff, bar tenders, servers, front desk and restaurant were amazing. The Desmond is truly a treasure and we have all wonderful memories from our wedding.

I can't say enough great things about my daughter's wedding day at the Desmond . Kevin, Mary and Andy were a superb team to work with in every way. The venue was beautiful. The food was delicious and all of our guests agreed! My daughter was treated like royalty and we felt so supported throughout the entire planning process. We selected the Desmond Hotel in Malvern as the host site for my daughter's wedding on October 25, 2025. My family and all of the guests had a very memorable experience. The Desmond staff as usual, was in A+ form, very efficient and courteous to everyone. Also, the entire planning of the event was flawless which took the pressure off of our big day. I've also had numerous other amazing experiences with the Desmond Hotel. I highly recommend the Desmond team for any social/business meeting or celebration.

Mary and her amazing team were amazing to work with, they made our stay incredibly special! From the reservation process, even with our last minute guests, the friendliness of the staff and the great food at the restaurants, we could not have asked for a better experience. We especially loved Mary's personal visit to our getting ready room on Saturday:)

We had a phenomenal experience using the Desmond for our wedding. Booking the room block was easy and the staff communicated with us regularly. We also leveraged one of their preferred vendors for the shuttle service to our venue, which went smoothly. The fox and the hound within the hotel was also a great location for our wedding afterparty. Rooms were nice/clean, and we booked the wedding suite, which was extremely spacious. Would highly recommend the Desmond!

We could not be happier with the service we received from the staff at the Desmond Hotel in Malvern during our wedding weekend. Cynthia was very professional and friendly and helped us to set up the hotel block, as well as our after party. It was a pleasure working with her. Samantha worked very hard with great professionalism and courtesy as well to assist with our bookings. During the stressful experience of planning a wedding, it was a great relief to work with such professional and nice people for our hotel block. Our guests all loved the accommodations and hotel bar.

We decided to have our ceremony and reception at the Desmond, because many of our guests would be coming from out of town. The entire staff, from the event coordinator to the restaurant manager to hotel services were absolutely wonderful. Everyone at the Desmond took their time to ensure our day was spectacular. We received so many compliments from our guests about the hotel and the event. You really cannot go wrong with the Desmond!

The Desmond was an AMAZING venue!!! We were so fortunate to have stumbled upon this location and the spaces inside. The conservatory space makes it look like you are somewhere far away from Malvern, PA and is perfect for photos. Every staff member was so warm and welcoming and truly helped curate a great environment. Kevin, our primary contact and planner, was fun and personable and made the process so easy! This venue includes flowers and wedding cake which takes out a lot of stress. It was a dream to have the ceremony, reception, and after party all in one spot with great food, great vibes, and a beautiful space. I would recommend The Desmond to anyone.

We hosted a 170-person wedding here, and the event couldn't have been better if we tried. From our first instance at the venue, the Catering Sales Manager, Karen, was attentive, knowledgeable, and personable! She walked us through every aspect of the event, and continued that support through the year of planning. The room block was perfect, the atmosphere was fun and inviting while maintaining a level of elegance, and the food was PERFECT. Prince, the Banquet Manager, was wonderful to work with about food and signature cocktails, and the entire staff were sweet and professional. Special shoutouts to Carol and Dottie for helping keep us fed and never without a drink. We would recommend this venue to anyone looking for a one-stop-shop of ease and class for their special day!

We picked the greater Malvern area for our wedding as it was convenient for both of our families. A search of WeddingWire gave us a list of potential venues. The Desmond was the last one we visited and the conservatory immediately caught our attention on the tour. As we were having a smaller wedding (~50 ppl) we were able to book the conservatory as the location for our wedding ceremony. By choosing the Desmond, we were able to have the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception in the same location where our guests could stay overnight.

Kevin, the Director of Sales, was our main point of contact, and all we could have hoped for. He helped us arrange our food tasting, cake tasting with the Master's Baker (our cake was included in our package), answered any and all questions we came up with, and to finalize all of the logistics for the actual wedding. He was flexible with helping us deal with last-minute substitutions for allergies and made sure our space was able to accommodate guests with wheelchairs. Our wedding on May 5, 2023, was exactly what I imagined and I still get glowing comments from our guests about the event.

Andy, the banquet manager, was also a dream to work with. On the day of our wedding, he helped with making sure our decor was on point, and his staff was wonderful throughout the whole night. Dottie, the bartender, was an absolute treat - she was funny, personable, and kept the drinks coming!

Overall, I am so glad my husband and I chose the Desmond to make our wedding a reality.

Absolutely lovely hotel for our rehearsal dinner and wedding party/guests accommodations. The hotel staff are extremely attentive and kind. Cynthia was a thoughtful and detailed event coordinator and we could not be more happy with our stay at the Desmond!

The Desmond made our wedding day absolutely amazing and stress-free! Everything came together perfectly! The food was delicious and our guests had more than enough to eat all evening. The bartenders were wonderful, and the banquet manager Andy and our event planner Karen were a pleasure to work with. We knew they would handle all the details on wedding day, and they led us seamlessly through our event with care and joy! We never had to worry for a moment, and we were able to enjoy everything! They worked great with our vendors as well, and handled cake delivery/floral delivery/DJ details/etc. with ease. Many of our guests remarked that this was the best wedding they had ever been too. We can’t recommend the Desmond enough!

We cannot say enough good things about our experience with The Desmond. It was the first venue we looked at, and after looking at a few others we quickly realized nothing compared to the people, venue, package, costs and experience of working with The Desmond. Our sales coordinator Kevin ensured every detail of our wedding was exactly what we wanted. He was there to answer all of our questions and make helpful suggestions along the way.
Our cocktail hour and reception went so smoothly. As a bride and groom, it was such a relief to not have to worry about anything - our night of coordinator (also named Kevin) was always there to make sure everything went as planned and that we and all of our guests were happy. The entire team at The Desmond went above and beyond to make it an enjoyable night for everyone, and not only were they great at their job, but they were all so nice.
After the tasting, we struggled to choose the menu only because every single thing we tried was delicious. Our guests are still raving about the food. They also appreciated the convenience of having a reliable and clean hotel right on site.
We could not be happier with our entire experience at The Desmond. If you want a stress-free reception, amazing food, beautiful location, and an experienced and professional staff, you should definitely book The Desmond.

Everything was top-notch! Karen helped us plan our wedding and fielded many questions. During the wedding, the event staff made sure the bride, groom and their parents were taken care of the entire night! They held items for us overnight. Definitely plan to stay there! Incredible service, perfect steaks, and hot yummy food for all guests!

Choosing this venue was one of the best wedding decisions I made. At every step the staff was kind, professional and accommodating. We had to postpone our wedding due to Covid and the Desmond were wonderful about working with us to find a new date. Every detail was taken care of and the food was amazing. There were actually multiple weddings the same weekend as ours but I would never have known because they made us feel like the most important people in the world.

We used The Desmond Hotel as our full service hotel for my daughter's wedding at French Creek Golf Club. They handled all of the transportation needs for us, as well as the room block, welcome and after parties, and a delicious brunch. I cannot say enough good things about this hotel. They all work together like a family to make everything so easy for anyone hosting a wedding. Meredith was amazing with our room block and advice. She is so friendly and helpful. Cynthia did a fantastic job with all of our catering needs, and Steve handled all the transportation for us. This was a rescheduled Covid wedding and I was in contact with Meredith for almost two years and can't thank her enough for all of her assistance during that time. If you are able to book the Presidential Parlor, it was the perfect suite for the bride and her maids to get ready in on wedding day. With the adjoining guest rooms, it made a perfect family apartment for us during our 5 days in the hotel. I highly recommend The Desmond Hotel team and look forward to returning there any time I am in the area!

1000 stars. I cannot emphasize enough how fantastic the Desmond was. We were a covid couple who decided to put things off from summer, 2020 to summer, 2021. I have told everyone I know planning a wedding to look especially at the covid shutdown era reviews, because that will tell you which venues/vendors will work with you when you are hit with the unpredictable. We were able to seamlessly postpone our wedding without a fuss or any extra fees: the policy was if the Desmond could not give us the wedding of our dreams within 8 weeks of the wedding, we could postpone without any stipulations. Kevin was fantastic. Throughout this process, he was reassuring, calming, positive, and would take time to talk to us on the phone about any questions we had. For our final planning meetings, we were always with Kevin for at least 2 hours: he made sure every little detail was what we wanted and took the time to connect with us on a personal level. The wedding day itself was seamless. We both live out of town but were holding the wedding in my hometown, so we had a lot of out-of-town guests. So many people raved to us about how helpful the staff was for any question they had. The food was outstanding and the cocktail hour area perfect. We had almost 200 people & there was plenty of space to move around without feeling crowded. Andy, Carol, and all the staff for our wedding were just incredible and they were there to help us before we even could ask the question. They brought us into the ballroom to see it & take some pictures before all the guests came in, & had our bridal party line up for our first dance after walking in which was an awesome touch. We did a Pittsburgh cookie table which can be a lot of work and the Desmond was all for it-and it looked amazing!!! The Desmond staff set up and broke down everything for us; we didn’t have to worry about a thing. They accommodated our group in the Fork & Bottle restaurant for the after party food/drinks which the out of towners all appreciated!! So many people told us this was the best wedding they’ve ever been to. I could go on and on. The Desmond was fantastic. We wanted a hotel wedding and they more than delivered. It was the day of our dreams!!

Amazing service with high commitment to excellence.

I highly recommend the Desmond for anyone hosting a large event. We had close to 60 wedding guests in 30 rooms for two days and nights and everyone had a wonderful time. The business manager, event planner and transportation coordinator made it easy for us although we had to reschedule three times due to COVID. The staff did their best to accommodate all our requests including early check- ins even though the hotel was sold out. Shuttle arrangements were handled for us including several last minute changes. The breakfast buffet we hosted was excellent. All in all excellent staff and a full service hotel in a great location.

We had a breakfast at the Desmond Malvern on the 1st floor Deck with Awning the morning after our daughter's wedding. It was the perfect ending to a perfect weekend. I worked with Shelly-Ann, who helped decide what type of menu to have for our guests (we used an a la carte breakfast menu) and provided the vouchers for the guests who attended. Vouchers were for guests at the Desmond Hotel and also for our friends and family who did not stay at the Desmond. She was so easy to work with and answered all my questions. The deck where breakfast was set up was wonderful! Nice breeze, there must be a waterfall close by, because there was the sound of flowing water beyond the deck ~ so relaxing! Our servers were friendly and very accommodating, and we were encouraged to stay as long as we wanted. I would recommend the Desmond to my family and friends, both for the cleanliness and adherence to COVID-19 standards, and to the excellent service they provided.

As a COVID bride, I would like to say that the incredible team at The Demond went above and beyond to ease every anxiety, fear, and problem I approached them with. The flexibility was unmatched. I've been hearing horror stories of other couples not being able to move their date or not being able to transfer deposits and let me tell you, The Desmond is there FOR YOU!
I worked with Kevin and Andy and what a dynamic duo they are. The listened to every. single. detail. They were answering questions before I could ask them and they did it all with a smile under their mask (I could just tell, ya know? :) ). Our wedding day exceeding our expectations and the expectations of our guests because of every single staff member at The Desmond. We signed 2 years ago because the professionalism and experience was obvious and it's also a beautiful hotel, but I couldn't be happier learning how compassionate and accommodating the staff was. It was a truly beautiful wedding and it is just so wonderful experiencing your wedding coordinators treating you like their own family. I 100% recommend The Desmond, and quite honestly, I want to come up with some other event to hold there!

You can’t go wrong with the Desmond to host your wedding! We had to change our date three times due to Covid and Karen/Kevin we’re understanding, flexible, organized, and responsive. As a bride, I truly appreciated this. The food and outdoor deck were incredible! Several of our guests raved about it and said it was one of the best weddings they’ve attended. The Desmond is the place to get married! I reached out to them with 8 months until my day and was able to get everything I needed. Karen is incredibly knowledgeable, helpful, and responsive. She was there for every part of the planning process and made sure everything was perfect the day of. She also was flexibly in her availability for meeting. I live in NYC and was only available to meet during limited times. The day of was amazing. The food was delicious and the whole event space was set up exactly how I wanted it. The guests said the food was amazing and that it was one of the best weddings they have ever been to!

From the moment I found The Desmond, I knew it was a special place. As an out-of-state bride, I depended a lot on TheKnot reviews and found many outstanding reviews. Within hours of sending a message for information, I had heard from Karen, who would remain my point person for the next 18 months of wedding planning. Since all of our guests would be traveling for our wedding, it was very important to me that my guests were able to stay somewhere nice after a night of partying so finding a venue in a hotel was ideal. I had made a couple of trips to the area to visit venues, and fortunately, on that first trip, I did visit The Desmond. I was immediately taken back by the charm that the reception hall had. The cocktail area was beautiful and bright with many windows and would be ours for the night. The reception room itself was intimate and romantic with beautiful molding and chandeliers. Even better, The Desmond was undergoing renovations which to my happy surprise meant a new dance floor, beautiful and neutral carpeting, and a modern and updated bathroom. Aesthetically, I knew it would photograph well and I could picture myself dancing the night away there. Beyond that, the food was excellent! All of our guests left with full bellies. More than that, the pricing of our meals was also perfect. Finally, and this was a huge part of my huge satisfaction with The Desmond, Karen was such a blessing to work with. From the first moment we started speaking, she worked with my husband and I to make sure everything about our day was perfect. She made sure we had the desserts we wanted, the uplighting included, the meals to accommodate our friends and families with allergies and dietary restraints. She kept me updated with how many rooms were taken in our room blocks. She made sure that my dad and husband had their favorite beers. She worked with my parents to arrange breakfast the next morning for our many guests who stayed overnight. She met with us many times in the months leading up to the wedding and was always available to chat and was very prompt with emails. Even though she wasn't scheduled to be at work late on the Saturday we got married, she made sure to be there to see my husband and I just before we walked into the reception and to wish us well. We cannot say enough great things about The Desmond and would absolutely recommend paying them a visit if you're looking for venues in the area! The Desmond hosted both my sister's wedding and mine, so we are repeat customers! They are timely with responses, the venue is perfect, lodging is right there, the food is GREAT, and best of all, they basically set up everything for you. You bring your own DJ and photographer, although they can give you some recommendations. They do the food, but contract with a few bakers and a florists, so you don't need to hunt for one (we went with who was closest to us). Then everything else is taken care of. Everyone with whom we worked was very polite, gracious, and understanding of our time constraint (we had 6 weeks to plan), but it was everything we thought it would be and more!

The team at The Desmond was incredibly professional and helpful in walking us through the planning process. They were more than willing to review all possible options. There was never anything I asked for that couldn't be done. They were flexible on the day of our wedding and switched the ceremony inside due to weather without any issues at all. Excellent customer service and our guests raved about the venue (particularly the food)!! I can't thank the staff enough for making our day so special!

We got married June 22nd 2019 at the Desmond Hotel. Our ceremony was at the gazebo and our reception was on the deck. We also had our rehearsal dinner on location as well. Beautiful location and easy “one-stop- shop.” The day couldn’t have been more perfect. Both Kevin’s were absolutely fabulous! They were both very attentive and relieved all of my stress that weekend. Everything was set up exactly how I imagined and the food was amazing. I would definitely recommend The Desmond for any event, especially weddings.

To say everything was perfect may sound like an exaggeration, but, everything, in fact, was perfect. Kevin went out of his way to make sure the day ran smoothly and every single staff person was a delight to work with. The room helped create an ideal environment for the ceremony. The food was great and the party was a blast! A wedding day can be hectic, for sure, as well as amazingly wonderful. Everyone and everything at the Desmond helped create a spectacular celebration for our daughter.

I recently got married at the Desmond in Malvern in October. It was perfect! I worked with Kevin throughout the whole process and he was amazing! So responsive to my many questions and requests! The actual wedding went perfectly. Andy was awesome to work with. All of our guests loved their food and had an amazing time. The renovations were lovely. The ballroom was BEAUTIFUL and way better than I even expected! Everything was wonderful and I can't say enough great things about this place!

We had our wedding reception at The Desmond in May 2018. From the very first moment we met Karen Eubanks, we knew we were in great hands. She was such a joy to work with, always so responsive to my questions, and very detail-oriented. The wedding package was an amazing value, and they did an outstanding job! The food was amazing (all the guests keep raving about that dessert bar!), the service was impeccable, the décor was stunning, and we loved that the cake, flowers, and table linens were all included. About 90% of our guests were traveling from out-of-state, so it was an added convenience that we could block rooms right there at the venue. I would highly recommend this venue to anyone!

I had a wedding at the Desmond Hotel in October and I have nothing but great things to say about the staff! Kevin and Andy were amazing and did everything they could to make our day special! The ballroom and conservatory were beautiful and classy; my guests said nothing but great things about how pretty it was. The food was amazing as well! Nothing but great things to say! Highly recommended!

Our wedding guests were from all over, so almost everyone stayed at the Desmond. They helped us coordinate a welcome event on Friday night, an after party on the patio the night of the wedding, and a brunch following the wedding. Samantha was great to work with, and everything ran very smoothly even when we had to change locations for one event at the last minute because of rain. They also helped us coordinate the transportation for everyone to the wedding - the only complaint for that was that the buses were a little early to the wedding. Overall, the Desmond and Samantha were fantastic.

The Desmond Hotel did not disappoint! We recently hosted our wedding of approximately 92 people at the Desmond and it was a wonderful experience. The food was amazing. Several of our guests told us that the food served at the cocktail hour was the best they’ve had at a wedding. From start to finish the Desmond was terrific. Working with Karen for the initial planning and right up to our wedding day was a pleasure. She was always available to answer questions and happily offered advice to help make our day what we had envisioned. The banquet managers, Carol is wonderful by the way, were helpful and provided superior service. I would not think twice about having another event at the Desmond and we look forward to returning for our one year anniversary!

Our wedding was January 5 and it was more perfect than I every could imagine. It truly was a fairy tale and the staff at the Desmond is responsible for that. The day of staff made everything flow without issue and were attentive and courteous about everything. Karen was amazing in the planning stages. She was quick to answer any questions and provide support for everything. Overall the planning process was easy and painless because of the support and knowledge of Karen. I am still in disbelief over how magical and perfect my wedding was and I felt like a princess. THANK YOU!!

My husband and I had our wedding reception at the Desmond! It was truly fantastic. Everyone we worked with was so kind, helpful, and supportive throughout the process. My wife and I were married back in April and had our reception at the Desmond. Great dinner and dessert! Karen Eubanks made sure we received exceptional service. We would highly recommend them.

We worked with Karen Eubanks, and she was responsive to every one of our needs throughout the planning process. She offered advice and opinions, and was very willing to make changes to accommodate or wishes. We were always confident that she had everything under control.

The wedding was everything we hoped for and more! The food was delicious and the service top notch, and the room looked absolutely gorgeous! I will most definitely recommend The Desmond to my friends and family.

We had a great time at The Desmond on November 4, 2017! They pay attention to the smallest detail. Because of a last minute change to the number of people attending our wedding they moved the ceremony from the main ballroom to the conservatory which is a beautiful room that has beautiful natural light due to all of the windows. The sunshine was a nice added touch. The service provided is second to none and no request is ever too much to ask. Alyssa was so helpful and did a lot to get rid of any anxiety leading up to the wedding day and the day of the ceremony. We would definitely recommend The Desmond for any event. Do yourself a favor... if you're thinking about booking The Desmond for your wedding, do it NOW. They were phenomenal at every single step of the process. It happened to be our first venue tour, and Kevin really wowed us. We visited a few other places to make sure we were certain, but every other place paled in comparison to The Desmond. Everything from the food to the service to the team were top notch, and they take care of so many details for you. We had centerpieces, uplighting, the cake (and they even add a chocolate covered strawberry to the plate!), linens, table settings, honeymoon suite included in our package. They also made sure we had clear expectations and the contract and plan outline were intricate. You name it... we had nothing to worry about.

Kevin (THE MAN), Alyssa, the banquet managers Andy and Kevin, our server Carol, and everyone in between gave us nothing but the best. The food was delicious, and during our tasting, we talked with Kevin for more than an hour. He made us feel truly welcome.

We heard rave reviews from every single one of our guests about how The Desmond went above and beyond. One small example... my aunt has a dietary restriction and can't have gluten. We didn't know this in advance, so when she didn't eat her crab cake, the server asked what the problem was, and when she told them, they brought back lump crab meat so she could still enjoy her meal. WHAT?! WHO EVEN DOES THAT?!

They also worked with us to get all of our out-of-town guests (the majority of our headcount) rooms, even though the hotel was absolutely packed that week/weekend.

Phenomenal all around, and would get married here over and over and over again. You should seriously just pick this venue and thank us later. We love every. single. aspect. of The Desmond and will be visiting for dinner and happy hour soon. :)

The Desmond was wonderful. Karen our event planner was exceptional. Kevin the banquet manager was attentive to all the details of the evening. The staff at the registration desk to the servers were friendly and helpful. The ballroom was beautiful, the food was good and everyone had a great time.

I was married at the Phoenixville Foundry and initially when I began my search for our room block, I wanted a hotel as close as possible to the venue. After visiting the Desmond, I realized those extra few minutes of travel time didn't matter at all. They were very accommodating and handled our large group (we had 62 rooms booked!) with ease and everyone said they had a great stay. Also offering to pick guests up for free at the Paoli train station was also super helpful as well as accommodating so many early check-ins. They also coordinated our shuttles for no extra charge which was a huge help so I did not have to deal with the vendor. We also hosted our after party on the back deck which was great and a day-after brunch in the garden room. Both events went so smoothly! They were extremely responsive. I was probably the most hands-on bride that didn't even host her actual wedding at the Desmond, but they really were phenomenal to work with.

The Desmond was very accomodating with everything we needed. They provided shuttles and we had an awesome breakfast on Sunday for our guests after the wedding. The rooms were all very nice and it had a homey feel to it. The restaurants and bars were all very good and made for a fun place to hang out after the wedding! Overall, we had a great experiece. If you are getting married anywhere close to Malvern, choose the Desmond!

I would definitely recommend the Desmond to any couple planning a reception. The room was lovely, the food was great and the staff was wonderful. Having rooms on site was a Godsend, and having the Fox and Hound right there for the after party was perfect. We received many compliments on the reception from our guests as well. Great job!

The Desmond was great to work with, they took care of all of our request and more. Even though it rained on our wedding day and we were unable to use the gazebo they ordered tents for the deck which worked perfectly. We highly recommend using the Desmond hotel for your wedding.

We had our wedding at the Desmond on Halloween 2015. It was perfect. Kevin was amazing in helping me make my vision a reality. The staff was helpful, nice, and just incredible. I had no problems everything ran smoothly. I couldn't say one bad thing it was perfect!!!!

I cannot say enough good words to the Desmond Hotel. Karen, the wedding manager was so nice and helpful from day one. She gave us a lot of valuable information about the whole process and the details we should pay attention when the date was approaching, which saved us tons of time and made the preparation smoother. The food here was phenomenal, both the wedding reception and the rehearsal dinner. We also had a fun tasting experience. Normally they don't provide soup tasting, however, the chef was able to get all the ingredients and gave us three soups to taste! We're so grateful for what the Desmond did for us. The price is very reasonable and the guests get the wedding room discounted price. All the guests gave us very positive feedbacks on the Desmond.

Our day was perfect. We are not a "normal" wedding couple, and everyone at the Desmond went out of their way to make our day exactly the way we dreamed it. I could not have asked for anything more, and I want to do the whole night over again! <3

Karen Eubanks was a tremendous help with our wedding! This was the first (and hopefully last!!) wedding we have ever had and having someone like Karen guiding us through the steps, suggesting a great DJ and cake people, helping us with our food orders and even showing up on her DAY OFF (the actual day of our wedding) to make sure we had everything we needed/wanted... I would say The Desmond in Malvern was the best place for our special day! All of our guests have said the same and a few friends have booked their weddings/parties there after seeing how wonderful the place and people really are!

They were amazing and worked as a dream team with the Masters Baker, and the Blue Moon Florist! We couldn't be more grateful for the Desmond and really making this the best day of our lives! Our friends and family members are still saying how beautiful, and classy the weekend was. The desssert bar, and breakfast the next morning are a must!!

Everything about the planning and event were excellent. The staff were so helpful and responsive to all of the couple's needs. We basically had a destination wedding at the Desmond and all of the guests spoke highly of the accommodations. From the time of the rehearsal dinner on Friday through the breakfast buffet on Sunday everything went very smoothly. It could not have been better. There are not enough superlatives to express how truly wonderful our weekend was.

The ballroom and the conservatory were perfect spots for an intimate wedding ceremony and reception thereafter. The staff was very friendly, helpful, and made sure our guests were well looked-after.

This place has class, great service and great food. The solarium is a beautiful place to have a wedding and the reception was, along with everything else, a good buy. Everything was on time and exactly as promised. You will not be disappointed. The guests at our wedding thought we spent twice as much as we did.

Absolutely book this venue! The staff is amazing and so accommodating. We worked with Karen to plan the wedding, and then Kevin on the day of. They were both so professional and our wedding was everything we could have dreamed of and more. So much was included in our package - the centerpieces for our reception, our cake, transportation to the church for our family from out of town....We are STILL getting compliments 3 months later on how good the food was. The space was perfect for our 110 person reception and the overnight bridal suite was breathtaking. The staff was extremely attentive, bringing drinks to us and our VIP tables all night - they didn't skip a beat. They also made sure my husband and I got to sample some of our favorite appetizers from cocktail hour. The menus were extensive and there were so many good meal choices to select from. The price was extremely reasonable and competitive with other venues in the area. PLEASE do yourself a favor and book your wedding reception here - you won't regret it!

We are having our wedding and reception there next year but so far Kevin has been outstanding with helping and always being there for any questions that I may have. The place is beautiful and I can't wait to marry my best friend next year.

We had our rehearsal dinner at the Desmond outside on the private deck and it was beautiful. We had an incredible night and the food was amazing! Friday nights they also have live music on the deck which we were able to enjoy and we were able to continue celebrating at the bar on the deck after dinner!

The Desmond Hotel was an excellent choice for our wedding. Kevin and Alyssa were so helpful leading up to the wedding and helped us to plan every detail perfectly and reduce our planning stress! They were accommodating and flexible with all of our requests. We had a large number of out of town guests and the hotel was able to give our guests reasonable room prices and reserve as many rooms as we needed. The staff were endlessly helpful on the night of the reception and even boxed up our dinners for the next day since most of our time was spent on the dance floor and we did not get much time to enjoy the delicious food!

My sister had her wedding reception here in 2008 and we had a wonderful experience. My husband and I live in DC and had a ton of out of town guests so it was great to have the reception and sleeping accommodations all in one spot.The staff at the Desmond Hotel made the planning process so easy and extremely enjoyable! Karen Eubanks was wonderful at making us feel at ease and answering any questions we had. My mom cried at our final meeting because she was sad it was over and how nice and helpful Karen was! The Desmond accommodated any changes that we made. The day of the wedding was a complete success. Andy did an excellent job making sure everything turned out just as planned. Our guest commented on how delightful the staff was throughout the whole wedding weekend. Even The sweet bartender took tabs on what me and my husband were drinking and brought us both out one last drink before the end of the night!

My husband and I got married on August 8th, 2015. We were engaged on March 14th, leaving us a little less than five months to plan a wedding. After visiting several venues, we fell in love with The Desmond and what services were offered. Let me start with how impressed we were with Kevin Kessler, our coordinator, and the entire staff of the hotel. Everyone we had spoken to had been working at the hotel for at least 5 years and enjoyed it. Kevin was helpful, informative, considerate and straight-forward; yet, he was not pushy, rude, or passive. Once we decided to have the ceremony and reception at The Desmond, everything fell into place. I had a few things I wanted to take place for my guests such as an "In Loving Memory" table and all I needed to do was drop everything off to Kevin days before the wedding and the staff took care of the rest. My husband and I wanted to take communion, they got it and had it set up. I was walked down the aisle by my uncles as my father is deceased, Kevin made sure it worked and flowed with the ceremony.
The day of the wedding was bliss. Andy and Kevin (a different staff member) were superb, They were ahead of us in everything; having water for us and our bridal party to champagne when we walked out of the ceremony. The DJ pronounced our last name wrong, and before I could say anything Andy politely and swiftly walked up to his table to correct him! They were fabulous. Check out The Desmond and have a meal. Every guest who mentioned their meal said it was the best food they had ever had, or the best steak ever. The Desmond is a must for your wedding day!

Beautiful wedding! We just hosted my daughter's rehearsal dinner, wedding ceremony and reception and then brunch the next morning at the Desmond Hotel. Everything was absolutely beautiful, the food was delicious and the service was truly outstanding. Kudos to the front desk staff, all the servers and a special thank you to Carol who took great care of the bridal party during the reception. I would like to extend a very special thank you to Kevin for helping us plan the entire event and Andy who brought it all to fruition. Everything was great!

The Desmond Hotel made our wedding day absolutely perfect! Throughout the planning process, any time I had a question, they were immediately answered by Kevin, Andy or Karen. I had absolutely no worries placing my wedding in their hands. They knew what we wanted and took care of the rest, even anticipating somethings before we knew we needed/wanted them. They provided a bridal suite for my girls and I to get ready. They then turned over the room for the bridal party to enjoy apps and beverages before we went into cocktail hour. The day of Karen made sure the timeline went as planned. We had an outdoor ceremony with rain looming, so timing was necessary. Afterwards, Karen made sure to get me from cocktail hour and get the reception started right away. She was amazing. My husband and I had our own waitress the night of and it was fabulous. I never had to ask for anything! During the reception, Andy was our man. He was there every step of the way. He knew I wanted to keep the party moving and people dancing all night and he made sure to keep it that way. The staff at the Desmond is beyond any other I have encountered. They love their jobs and it shows. The food was amazing, from the cocktail appetizers, to the reception meals, to the decadent dessert bar...it was impeccable. My guests are STILL talking about the food. I can't imagine having my wedding anywhere else.

My husband and I could not be happier that we chose the Desmond Hotel for our wedding reception. From beginning to end of the planning process, Karen, Andy, and the entire team at the Desmond made everything completely painless. Karen was flexible and accommodating at every turn. I never felt bad asking questions or for information because she was so responsive and patient. The cocktail hour and reception rooms looked completely amazing for our special night - better than we had even hoped. Andy was there every moment making sure the night went smoothly. Our parents, my husband, and I were waited on hand and foot. We never had an empty glass. Our guests are still raving over a month later about the food. If you can, choose filet as one of your options because we were told by several people it was the best they'd ever had! All the entrees were amazing though. The staff at the Desmond gave my husband and I peace of mind throughout the planning process, which is invaluable. The exceptional service and quality you receive for the price paid is unreal. I would happily recommend this venue to anyone. I can't say enough how pleased we were. Not one detail was overlooked by the team, and we cannot thank them nearly enough to convey how much we appreciate them. Now that the big day has come and gone, I'm actually sad we will no longer be interacting with Karen and Andy! We can only hope that when we return for dinner or drinks we bump into them again.

The Desmond hotel was so accommodating for our wedding. Looking for a venue for a wedding can be stressful but the staff at the hotel are so helpful! Our on site wedding coordinator Alyssa was so helpful, timely, and prepared. She worked for what I asked her for and always made sure she responded to my emails in a timely fashion! If there was something I wanted she would provide it or guide me in the right direction! The hotel itself was beautiful and recently remodeled which is great! They were flexible with pricing and willing to create a wedding package just for us. The rooms are beautiful and have a lot of space! The food is excellent and rich, especially the famous "bread pudding". They provided us with so many complimentary upgrades, bridal suite, flexible rehearsal times, etc. If I had to do it all over again no doubt I would pick The Desmond hotel!

We absolutely loved having our wedding ceremony and reception at the Desmond! Kevin Kessler was a wonderful coordinator. He and his team were so responsive throughout the planning process. Planning a wedding can be an overwhelming task, but we knew we were in good hands and that made the process much easier. The venue itself is both gorgeous and spacious. We had 210 guests and it never felt crowded. The food was wonderful, the banquet service was incredible, and the staff did a great job of keeping things moving. Andy made sure everything flowed smoothly on the day of the wedding and kept track of every little detail for us. We never worried about a thing and he communicated with the band and our photographer throughout the night. We were glad we made the choice to have the ceremony in the ballroom. It was really lovely. The guests stayed at the hotel, which made everything even easier, and we had an after party at the pub. If you're looking for an outstanding venue, I highly recommend checking out The Desmond. They are true experts and we were so happy with the way everything turned out!

The Desmond was our main hotel for our guests to stay at for our wedding. The bridal suite was gorgeous and perfect for having the bridal party get their hair and makeup done. The hotel staff was extremely attentive to all our needs. Marie and Rachel were instrumental in setting up our wedding block and accommodating as many guests as were possible.

Fantastic place for a wedding! The whole staff was wonderful and Karen was amazing. She was so easy to get along with and made sure everything went flawless. We had our ceremony and reception there and I couldn't have been happier. Everything was absolutely beautiful and the outdoors pictures were perfect. There are not enough words to express how happy we were with our recent wedding reception at The Desmond Hotel. To start, this was the first place we looked at for our reception. And after visiting a few other venues there was nothing comparable to what the Desmond had to offer in their wedding packages. Everything from centerpieces, cake, table linens, etc. were included. Of course there were charges if you wanted additional upgrades but with what they offered those upgrades were few and far between. When we went for our tasting, we were treated like royalty. You would have thought it was our actual wedding day. We tried so many foods and were given so many options. If we didn't like something foodwise, they quickly accomendated us with something else that we did like. We worked with Kevin and he made the planning process so simple. I never had to worry about anything. Once our wedding day came, we dealth with Andy at the reception. Another person we couldn't have enjoyed our day without. The food was phenomenal and the service was excellent. We hosted 200+ guests and everyone raved about all aspects of our reception. From the reception to our post wedding brunch to our hotel stay it was awesome. The only thing I would complain about is how fast the whole night went by but it was truly beyond all of our dreams.

No matter where you have a wedding these days, you’ll spend a good deal of money. But the real value of the Desmond goes far beyond any dollar amount spent there. My husband and I have been to the Desmond countless times and we had always considered it for our own nuptials. Taking a risk, we asked about having the reception on the deck instead of the traditional ballroom. To our great surprise and happiness, we were offered the space and were introduced to the phenomenal service that we now know is just the Desmond standard.

Out of all the venues we visited, only the Desmond actually asked us what we really wanted. At no time did they just try to fit us into what “normally happens.” Instead, they listened to things we envisioned and things we wanted to avoid, and did their best to make all of those imaginings possibilities. All of the staff we dealt with was knowledgeable, professional, and genuinely welcoming. Especially as stressful as weddings can be, they consistently make you feel comfortable and confident.

They truly understand that this day isn’t about them and that they are working to make it your own. To that end, the staff can accommodate any style of couple and any planning style. For us, a more laid-back planning couple, we were seeking a place where we could trust the staff to make some of the decisions for us, a place we knew we didn’t need attend to the minutiae as it would be done impeccably anyway. When we had specific directions, the Desmond followed our thoughts and lived up to their promises. (For example, unique, fun, delicious food designed at a meeting with the Chef!) For the things we were unsure of, they led us to a good place. (Can you set up the guest book/table number area? YES! says the Desmond, and man, it looked great.)

The best example of this was their commitment to realizing our vision for the awning. As it is, the outdoor deck and awning are very beautiful. But, we wanted to add something to bring out our theme

My daughter had her dream wedding at The Desmond Hotel & Conference Center in Malvern. Their staff was fantastic to work with and helped so much with the reception planning experience. We also had the rehearsal dinner and next day morning brunch there. The ballroom was decorated elegantly, the Conservatory and adjoining ballroom were great for the cocktail hour, the food was excellent. Everything went off perfectly. Our guests, and we had a lot of out- of- towners, were extremely impressed.
